Amazing staff and facility! Needed doggy day care on short notice due to an emergency medical appointment at Scripps, and they were happy to accommodate. Everyone was so great with my friend's shy dog, and even came out as we were leaving to show us a picture of her, happy and all settled into her room. We have so much Gratitude for Rurik Vigo Dominguez. He has change our dog Blue’s life. Rurik is helping Blue have discipline, and understanding of human language. He is helping Blue find purpose (make mom/dad proud). Rurik is such a great mentor for Blue. now Blue is much happier happy dog . Rurik send us videos of the lessons he is teaching him through out the day . We are so glad we found him our stress when communicating with Blue is no longer there . We boarded our two dogs for two weeks there. Up to this time, our older pet didn’t socialize. The Team made them feel welcome, did a temperament test and he was fine to socialize! It allowed us to enjoy our stay. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend.

We’ve been taking our dog, Mr. Pickles, to The Animal Keeper now for 6 months and could not be happier. We use their doggy day camp twice a week, had Mr. Pickles trained there by Edgar (who was great) and board Mr. Pickles at The Animal Keeper when we go out of town. Everyone is so professional, the facility is incredibly clean and our dog can’t wait to go. It makes us feel so at ease when we leave Mr. Pickles knowing how excited he is to be there with all of his human and fur friends. I highly recommend The Animal Keeper.

I have been taking my dog (Brutus, 5 years) to Animal Keeper (AK) for over 4 years now. He absolutely loves it there, and the staff love him! They are kind, courteous and professional, and always keep the best interest of your pup in mind. Brutus goes to AK about once a week for day care, and he can’t get enough! Throughout the year (e.g. Easter, Halloween, Christmas, etc.) AK offer special holiday events during daycare that you can sign up for (for example, the “Feast or Beg Hunt” around Easter, see photos!). Brutus always has a blast, and I can always trust that AK will take great care of my pooch. My parents have been taking their dogs here for boarding for over 25 years! The staff is very knowledgeable and well-trained to ensure that all pups have a safe and enjoyable experience. They also offer various grooming packages that can be done while your dog is at daycare! There is nothing better than picking up a happy, clean pup after a long day of play! The facility itself is always very clean, which I have found is often overlooked at other daycare/boarding facilities. They also offer a “touch free” drop off/pick up option. A staff member will meet you outside to pick up your furry friend, if you prefer. I highly recommend Animal Keeper for boarding, daycare, and grooming needs!

Very accommodating! They have televisions for dogs that love to watch- suites - playtime for small breeds and they take the dogs out frequently. They really seem to care about the animals and are extremely helpful!

Anytime we go out of town we board our dog with the Animal keeper. She has stayed at the Poway and Encinitas locations. It’s reassuring to know she is safe and cared for while we are away. She is always happy and healthy when she comes home. Drop off and pick up are a breeze and the amount of add on packages / treats is sure to keep every dog happy and comfortable.

Our Australian Shepherd, Holly, loves going to day camp at the Animal Keeper! She is always happy to get there and seems to like everyone there and her dog friends. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and have a genuine love for animals. She spent a week boarding there and came home happy and healthy and we didn’t worry once while on vacation.

When we vacation we board our black cat at the Animal Keeper on Encinitas. We usually get 2 upper pens and bring her own food (dietary reasons). The fees are reasonable and staff is super friendly. We live about 25 min away, but prefer this location than the Poway one so that my sister who lives close by, can easily check on her.

I highly recommend Kamp Kanine! I bring Benny, my 4 year old high energy golden retriever, here a few times a week and he’s exhausted once he gets home! They always send photos of how his day is going and a recap of what dogs he’s spent the day playing with. The staff is super friendly, communicative, and knowledgeable, I always feel like Benny is in great hands. The pick up/drop off process is super smooth and really flexible and the pricing is very reasonable for how much energy Benny gets out! Thank you Kamp Kanine 💙

My dog LOVES Kamp Kanine! Ozzie starts barking with excitement before we get into the parking lot! She always has a good time and the staff and management are friendly and professional. I love how the timing for drop off and pick up are flexible and the pricing is very fair for such high quality of service. And- they send you pictures of your dog too!

We have been sending our dog, Hazel, to Kamp Kanine at least once a week for almost a year, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! The staff and owners are attentive and caring. Hazel always comes home happy and exhausted which is a testament in itself. The facility is well-maintained, offering a safe environment for all the dogs. We highly recommend Kamp Kanine.

Denelle was extremely helpful with training my mini Aussie puppy Monet who has been going to Kamp Kanine ever since which has been a few years now and loves going. I am so grateful for Kamp Kanine. My 2 dogs love going there and have made friends. The folks there always send us photos or videos of how they are doing and it makes us so happy to see them having fun. We absolutely love Kamp!!! My pup is obsessed with playing with her friends and seeing all her favorite humans at Kamp. Everyone that works there is super caring and lovely. They absolutely love my baby girl and I trust them completely! They have supervisors in every yard and they really make sure that they are putting dogs in the same play area whose personalities mix well together. This makes me feel super comfortable. Not only that but they take the time to know every dog that goes through their door. My pup has been injured for 6 months and Hali has even texted to ask how her progress is coming, which is so so sweet. I cant wait till my pup is healthy again so she can go back. It's been a big bummer not having Kamp in our lives. Highly highly highly recommend!!!

I have been bringing Shadow and sometimes Huckleberry Rye (my daughter’s dog) for years now to Kamp Kanine. They seem very happy to join their friends when I drop them off. The staff is aware of multiple dog dynamics and adjusts the placing of the dogs accordingly so that they get the most out of their time there. When I pick them up, I get a little update on how the dogs were. They are exhausted but happy exhausted. I would recommend Kamp Kanine whole-heartedly!

We've had such a fantastic experience with Kamp Kanine. Our doggie Cooper has been going for four years. Gian, Denelle and their awesome team has been great with him. They helped us sort out some training issues, given us really helpful counsel and have gone above and beyond for us many times. Cooper is always happy and tired when we pick him up. My pup, Brody, is an energetic Australian Shepherd, and he just loves Kamp Kanine. He jumps out of the car when we get there, and makes his way down their path to the play yard. When I pick him up he is always tired and happy. A perfect day for our beloved boy! I can highly recommend them!

If you’re looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and kind pet sitter, I highly recommend Zack and Yumi. Zack deserves 10 stars for being so patient with my cat Truffle. Truffle is sweet around me and my husband but can be anxious and disagreeable around pet sitters. Zack put up with her hissing (and sometimes even growling!) at him for most of the two weeks we were on vacation. He maintained a great attitude despite her unfriendliness. He sent us text updates and photos after each visit. He was calm and reassuring as we dealt with a stress-induced medical issue. We appreciated his lighthearted humor despite the challenging situation. He joked about how he and Truffle were bonding over their shared love of food. 😺 Slowly but surely, Zack won her over. Truffle ultimately rewarded Zack with her affection before we returned home. Hopefully, she’ll remember what a wonderful pet sitter Zack is and skip the grumpy cat routine next time we travel. Zach and Yumi are very professional, trustworthy and responsible and their love of animals is evident from the first meeting. Our little Chihuahua-Pug mix warmed right up to them. They are very thorough in getting to know your dog and his/her unique personality so they can provide quality care. They provide pictures and updates so you never have to worry and are quick to respond to texts and phone calls. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Yumi and Zack are the most wonderful, caring, playful, affectionate, understanding, trustworthy and helpful dog sitters EVER! Our dog Jazz sayed with them for 3 and a half weeks and he came back to us with much better behavior. Yumi and Zack sent photos and videos every day to stay connected with our dog and to let us know how he was doing - he really bonded with them and we felt very happy that he was in such good hands. We will certainly contact Encintas Pet Sitting next time we go abroad, or need help with Jazz for any reason. Thanks Yumi and Zack.

Zak and Yumi are hands-down the best dog caregivers around. We have been using them for over a year now, and we will go no where else! Our little pup, Twig, is absolutely in love with them both and always comes home happy and calm. They are thorough, respectful, kind and absolutely love the pets they care for. We trust them implicitly with both Twig and our home. And most of all, Yumi and Zak are just absolutely lovely people. We cannot recommend their services enough. Your little furball will thank you!

My Havenese, Izzy, stayed with Yumi and Zack for 5 days. They are a super nice couple that genuinely love dogs. At our meet-and-greet, Izzy instantly felt comfortable in their presence. I enjoyed getting pictures of Izzy and texts from them describing her mood or activities. I will use them again and would recommend their services to a friend.

Encinitas Pet Sitting, Zack and Yumi have just looked after our dogs for the last two weeks while we were away and it has been a wonderfully comforting experience for both ourselves and the dogs. We have two 40 lb litter mates from Helen Woodward, very energetic 11/2 years old's. They got their daily walks, meals and loving attention, we got picks and videos daily showing us how the dogs were doing, this certainly gave us peace of mind and we were able to enjoy the break. Zack and Yumi stayed at the house, as we preferred to keep the dogs in there own environment, this worked out very well for us, two happy, excited dogs to great us on our arrival home. I can't imagine a better sitter for my cat! Yumi and Zack are so detail-oriented and clearly love animals. Prior to my first appointment, I was asked a set a questions about my cat and her needs. This was done through a customer portal which handles payment directly as well as the contracts and invoice receipts. Extremely convenient! Zack scheduled a video chat before the first sitting appointment (in-person meetings are also offered). He asked specifics related to my answers given on the portal and answered every single question I had. I've rebooked them every weekend I've been away. Their pricing is extremely reasonable too. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I've used Zack and Yumi for almost 5 years and wont use anyone else. I'm a hover pet parent and I feel no worry when I leave on vacation for a short amount of time, to a 12 day time frame. They send daily updates and pictures of your fur baby!

This guys are the most amazing and sweet couple. They really love what they do. We have the best experience when we went to travel and they take care of our two Cats: Donatella y Gianni. I love this place. I enrolled my shy guy into the day training program. He is half way through his first sessions and I am seeing amazing progress. The staff and trainers are super responsive. Excellent care ! We have been bringing our dogs for daycare, and they love coming! We have also used the boarding and feel comfortable they are in good hands. My husband and I adopted our sweet boy Beaux in June of 2024. We quickly discovered he would get really overstimulated, really quickly. And while we were researching and training at home as much as we could, we were finding ourselves facing issue after issue or setback after setback. He was reactive to all dogs, and even though his reactivity was that of excitement, we knew that he didn’t have the tools necessary to come face to face with other untrained dogs like him (dogs that were submissive or had good training previously were okay for him to handle). We knew we needed help and were recommended Alcala by another pet parent at the dog park. We set up our orientation as soon as we could and we immediately fell in love with the place. The manager, Courtney, did our orientation and was SO knowledgeable about every single topic we had questions about. I was incredibly nervous to leave him there - as I was DREADING the (what felt like inevitable) phone call telling me Beaux was too much for them to handle. But, the call never came. In fact, when we picked him up the first day, and saw how happy he was, we knew immediately that we made the right decision choosing Alcala. He did one five-week class at two days a week and the improvements we saw from him were undeniable!! He walked on leashes better, his reactivity was better, his at home manners were better, and while we knew he had a long way to go, I felt so much more confident and SAFE taking him outside on my own. At the time, he was about 90lbs, today he’s a 101, and the fear I had about not being able to handle him is largely gone and I credit it 100% to Alcala. Our trainer, Cydney, was with us every step of the way. We would ask question after question, provide story after story for context, and she would always have exercises that would potentially (and usually did) help immensely. For the rare occasion that something we learned and tried wasn’t helping as well as we would’ve hoped, she would quickly pivot, demonstrate, and give us new exercises to try. We saw so much improvement in his first five-week package that we signed up for another - simply hoping for more of the same, because his progress was unbelievable. We were pleasantly surprised to see more progress yet again. Not only did we maintain the level of training he had learned but he expanded on it even more! Beaux is calmer, SO much less reactive, and is so much more well behaved at home (which is shocking because he never really gave us a hard time in the first place). He finished out his package this week, and while we’re going to take the rest of the year to be home and spend the holidays with family, my husband and I are already making plans as to when we can bring him back. The joy Alcala has brought Beaux is palpable. The ease of mind and confidence it has brought me is undeniable. My husband feels more confident handling training situations in public, a task I am still trying to master. I could not recommend Alcala enough. Courtney, Cydney, and the rest of the amazing staff have been nothing but a pleasure to work with. We cannot wait to be back!

Best daycare and boarding in town! They keep you updated on your dog and even gave our pup some pumpkin due to a stomach issue. They treat our dog as their own pet and we love them! Our dog June is always happy to go for the day or stay overnight at Alcala!

We trust Alcala and our dog loves it! Our 2 year old lab goes to Alcala for day care, and we board her there when we are out of town. She just stayed for 2 weeks, and previously had been boarded multiple times for up to a week. When we picked her up after 15 days, she was happy and it was like no time had passed! As a dog parent it is hard to find a place that you trust, and we have tried dog sitters in our home but have found that boarding is the best option for us. It's important to enjoy while we are away without worrying, and know our dog is safe and cared for by professionals. That is Alcala for us and we appreciate all the staff!

My very, very, difficult dog started muzzled and dosed with tranquilizers when Kristen did her first groom. Now Emmy, my sweet Maltese, with a snappy streak, just allows Kristen to go on ahead. WE love Kristen, she is a dog whisperer!

Overall I really like Alcala. My dog seems super happy to go there and I love there is so much group play time. I gave you a 4 instead of 5 for 2 reasons: 1) I find the rates very very high, and it's painful to pay for two days of boarding when we technically stay over a single night. There is zero way to pay for one day of boarding, and I find that to be, well, just wrong for the customer. Say I dropped my dog at 4pm on a Tuesday and got him at 9am the next day. I am charged $130. I'd love if you could rethink this policy and charge by 24-hour periods (like, say, a car rental company). 2) I almost never get feedback on how my dog did. I've never had a report card or a photo. I'd love to hear more about his visits.

Full disclaimer: we're empty nesters, so our fur babies have become our children. Therefore, to say that we adore them beyond words and do whatever is in their best interest would be an understatement. I say this because I want you, the reader, to know that we do our due diligence and research when it comes to those we trust with them. No cutting corners, second best, or anything else in between. None of that. So when I say that Alcala was and is a lifesaver, I sincerely mean it. Our maltipoo, Pumpkin, is 12 years old, so a puppy hasn't been in our household for 11 years. Thus, we were a taaad rusty. We adopted Zoom (labradoodle) when he was three months old (almost six months now) and boy o' boy! Did I mention that a puppy hasn't been in our house in over a decade?! Whew! I knew that no matter how much "training" I did on my own, I needed help. And fast. And from professionals. Alcala was recommended to me, and yep, you guessed it, I did my due diligence! But from the initial phone call to the orientation/assessment and through today, I'm glad I chose them and can't thank them enough for what they do. We signed him up for one of the training/daycare packages, and it has been worth every single penny. Every. Single. One. He gets out all the extra energy and sleeps in his "in-between" days, which I didn't think was possible, but he does. Daycare also allows Pumpkin, our other furry baby, to have a much needed break, and I can work peacefully knowing they're both not home all day, every day. So win, win, win. He absolutely LOVES going to Alcala, and although depending on his mood, he may/may not feel like getting into the car, once we arrive and I park, he can't wait to get out! And because he doesn't realize that he's no longer small in size (see photo below), he jumps on me to hurry up because apparently I don't go at the pace he would like. 😉 However, it is a sweet gesture that brings a smile to my face and tells me that he feels loved, protected, and comfortable there, which is the most I can ask for. Once training sessions are completed, he will be a part of regular daycare. I can't thank Courtney, Cydney, Adam, and everyone else enough! Terribly disappointing. My dog did not receive his daily medication. He was sent home with all of the medication, in the daily dosage bags, with the paperwork I filled out which was required for the medication to be administered. They never mentioned it. I sent an email immediately when I picked him up advising them that during his 15 day stay, none of his medication was given to him. They never responded. I will never use them again. I trusted they would provide my dog his daily medicine.

My first time coming to Paw Commons Pet Resort I was helped by Taylor, i was coming in to get my dog groomed and the area felt very nice Taylor was super respectful and took good care of me. Paw Commons Pet Resort provides an exceptional experience for pets and their owners alike. The staff is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that every pet feels comfortable and well-cared for during their stay. The facility is clean, spacious, and equipped with everything needed for a fun and relaxing time. My dog always comes home happy, healthy, and well-exercised after their visits. I highly recommend Paw Commons for anyone looking for a safe and caring environment for their pets.

We recently boarded our Cooper at Paw Commons Encinitas. It was his first boarding experience with him, so we were a bit nervous to be honest. It turned out great! Staff was awesome. Cooper seemed to have a blast. They even gave Cooper a chew toy which is now his favorite one.

We have boarded our dog at Paws Encinitas a handful of times now over the past few years as well as occasional day of grooming. Our pup is always well taken care of and loves the staff. We love getting report cards during his stay to see how he’s doing. Highly recommend trusting Paws with your beloved fur babies!

I tried Paw Commons several “grooms” ago, because I fell out of love with another groomer in the area, but it’s hard to find a groomer who understands doodles. I found one and my doodle loves her. Zayra at the Encinitas location has groomed my doodle several times now. He looks great every time & he seems to enjoy it. He won’t let me touch him with a brush & dreads the baths between grooms, but when we arrive at Paw Commons, he happily goes with her. 💜 The staff also take an interest in him, in fact Audrey at the front desk recognized us from a doggy day care where she used to work. Highly recommend! 👍🏻👍🏻

I took my puppy to Paw Commons when I was visiting from out of town and they were great! Super helpful and made me feel very comfortable leaving her. I loved being able to check in on the webcam and appreciated the “report card” I received about her first day. She got a full grooming and came home looking and smelling amazing. Highly recommend their services!

From beginning to end we were impressed. Paw commons is very clean/inviting inside and out. Each staff member was attentive with excellent customer service. Treasure felt comfortable which was the ultimate test. Anna did an outstanding full service groom with a great attention to detail. Treasure’s nails, feet and sanitary service exceeded expectations. We can tell Treasure loved her. Finding a groomer has not been easy and we are so happy that Anna and Paw Commons was recommended to us. Puppy Love Pet Care is the best pet sitting/dog boarding option in San Diego. I called Puppy Love Pet Care last minute for a week of dog sitting. Not only did they cater to Rio, but also they allowed me to extend his visit for another week in even shorter notice. The team is absolutely wonderful. I will definitely be using them again. Also - they don't crate dogs and allow non-neutered dogs - amazing!

Such a wonderful experience. We left our two dogs with Randi for two weeks, and she was absolutely amazing! Both of them came home relaxed with wagging tails. It’s nice to find someone you can trust.

Puppy Love is my go to dog sitter whenever I travel to visit San Diego in the spring/summer! I travel with my dog and leave him with Puppy Love for overnight boarding and doggy daycare anytime I need someone to watch them while I'm busy with work. I've also used them for walks for my dog and am never disappointed with their flexibility and how happy my dog is whenever they come home. Puppy Love Pet Care is the absolute best! My dog considers them a second family. As a boy with bad separation anxiety, finding a sitter that he was really comfortable with took some searching, but he always has a great time here and comes home happy and tuckered out. The staff at Holiday Pet Hotel were very kind, helpful and thoughtful to both our cats and to us. We were adopting two cats being rehomed and staying at the Hotel. The staff kindly allowed us to meet and visit with the cats twice. They told us all about the cats and we could tell that they cared very much for all the cats in their charge. The hotel cat area was spacious with good lighting, and each of the cat "hotel rooms" was also spacious. All the cats at the hotel seemed calm and comfortable. I would highly recommend the Holiday Pet Hotel for cat stays.

We had to find boarding for our beloved fur baby rather quickly and the Holiday Pet Hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was very polite and helpful especially considering our recent move from out of state. They did an excellent job keeping us informed on our pup’s well-being which gave us peace of mind. Additionally, their grooming service was truly top-notch—our pup looked fantastic! Without a doubt, we’ll turn to them for accommodations and other services for our pup in the future.

Kind and caring people who take great care of my cat for me. My kitty is not easy, and holiday pet hotel does a great job in making sure he is comfortable and calm. Their cat condos are roomy and clean, they spend time with each cat every day to be sure they are given attention, and their prices are really good.

While I have tried to refrain from writing negative reviews, I felt beyond obligated to create this one to warn future clients. Please keep in mind that this was my own personal experience. Let me start by saying that this was the first time we ever boarded our cats in their entire lives. We usually hire someone to come by the house whenever we are out of town. Due to their age & health, we felt boarding would be a better option. I did my due diligence and searched for what felt like the right fit. After trying 2 other boarding facilities, this was the best choice. The other 2 either didn’t allow senior cats, or they didn’t have space available. I called this place to confirm availability & that they would take senior cats, one being a diabetic. I filled out the request via the app & was approved as promised. Everything seemed to be going smoothly up until the day of dropping them off. I dropped the cats off around 10:30am on July 1, 2024. There were two staff members at drop off, a young woman & a man. The man hardly said a word to me & started to take the cats back to the room. The young woman was pleasant and chatted with me a bit. Assuring me the cats would be cared for & just fine. Fast forward to 3:15 ish pm, I get a phone call from Oscar. He states that the person who administers medication to the animals quit that morning. Why this wasn’t brought to my attention when dropping off at 10:30am, I don’t know. Oscar said they have a sister facility in San Juan Capistrano the cats can go to. I wasn’t open to this at that moment for a number of reasons. I called my vet & they told me find out more info on this other facility and take it bc the cats need good care. I called back, got more info, & was promised I would not have to pay any more than what I was told before. The next morning, at around 10:30am, July 2nd 2024, I am about to board my flight & I get a call from the other facility. I asked to call back later & did. When I called back I find out I will have to pay almost $900 (HPH was less than $300), plus additional fees for administering meds & daily fecal tests. The woman I spoke to at this new facility said they are not a sister facility and the cats were essentially sprung on them with little notice. They had no idea about feeding, no idea the cats had to be together, and basically was clueless bc Oscar didn’t really do much in preparing them. I called HPH and spoke to Jory(?) & she was just as shocked about all of this. I asked to speak with the manager and she said they’ll call me the next morning. I later spoke to the new facility’s manager and she was just as shocked with what happened. The next morning 7/3/24, I got a call from the new facility in SJC’s manager and she spoke to the owner of both these facilities and assured me bc Oscar screwed up so much, I will not have to worry about a thing. I never received a call from the manager, who apparently is Oscar shockingly. I called HPH and was told they’re too busy, he’ll call back in 10 minutes. A few hours pass and he called back. But I was out with my two small children on our vacation and couldn’t take the call. He left a vm asking to call back. I was honestly so fed up with the BS, I didn’t call back. Especially since the manager of the other facility was so nice and helped us immensely with this whole mess. From what I can understand, it appears there was some reason that no one told me about this person quitting at HPH, Oscar didn’t communicate with anyone very well, essentially lied to me about not having to pay more, and just did an all around terrible job. We got VERY lucky with the facility in SJC and our cats stayed there with wonderful care. Needless to say we will never use HPH again and will warn all of our friends with pets, do not board there ever. This was not how I wanted to start my family vacation and definitely not what I had expected from a facility that somehow has a 4.8 rating. Good riddance. **UPDATE: Julia the owner of both boarding facilities called me & personally apologized for everything. Thank you.

We have had our family dogs and cats stay at Holiday Pet Hotel throughout the years and the care has always been excellent and staff extremely caring. Our newest addition Rory stayed recently and the staff observed all his nuances including his quirky meow. Now that's attention to detail.

I have been taking Jaxson to Holiday Pet Hotel for his whole life, which is now three years. I think he enjoys going there because he is excited every time we pull up. I have left him there for a month , three weeks andimany times for two weeks or even just the weekend. We have never had a problem and when I pick him up, he is clean and happy. Michele is absolutely amazing and a dog whisperer. I was so nervous about my 4 year old dog who is a Velcro dog to me. I needed dog sitting and walking all day from 7:30 drop off to 6:30pm pickup. She had a great little backyard and essentially treated him like part of her family. She sent me pics where he was happily on walks and fed him dinner. I felt so relieved and happy that he was so happy with her all day . I had complete trust in her and he seemed to happily go to her everyday . She is kind and responsible and very responsive by text. I trust her completely!

Michèle recently watched my 2 cats while my family and I were out of the country for 10 days. I am so thankful I found her after having a terrible experience using Rover where the pet sitter did not show up as expected. I was so nervous after that experience, but Michèle made me feel so comfortable. She showed up for the meet at greet as scheduled and took time to listen to my concerns, understand my cat's feeding schedule, and the other nuances of my cat's day-to-day. While we were away she communicated with me every single day, providing pics and updates as to how my cats were doing. She was even able to get my scaredy cat to come out of hiding. When we returned everything was as we left it and my cats were happy. I would 100% have Michèle watch my cats again!

We are so grateful for Michele's care of our Terrier, Sydney. She is gentle, smart, professional, and really attuned to the needs of our dog. Plus, Sydney loves her and is always very happy to see her! We highly recommend Michele as she is experienced and very trustworthy.

We have 2 dogs and 2 cats who we adore and consider members of our family. So when it comes to leaving our pets, our peace of mind is extremely important. She is really tuned in to what your pet needs. She’s been watching my little white retriever Nena for the past year or so. Lora from Dogs on the Run was absolutely fabulous! We went on a family ski trip for a little over a week and Lora watched over our pup. We have a 2 year old lab and love her so much. Lora treated her like family and took such good care of her. Every day she sent me photos and updates which was a nice bonus. This is my first time using a pet sitter as my pup always travels with me, but when I could not take her on a recent trip, I turned to Dog on the Run. DOTR is an OUTSTANDING DOG-SITTING RESOURCE, & they have sitters throughout a broad section of the country. We used them while traveling for a family event in Berkeley, CA. The sitter, JANA was a sweetheart, was punctual, & professional, & even advised us when she reached our hotel. As I requested, she kept us updated on our puppy's status throughout the time she took care of her throughout the 2 days we were there, walking her, playing with her favorite fetch balls, etc, She sent us numerous adorable photos for my phone, & thorough updates, further making me feel confident that our puppy was in excellent hands. I couldn't have been more pleased, & STRONGLY RECOMMEND "DOTR" for reliable, professional dog-sitting services.

I cannot say more good things about DOTR. Athena watched my sweet dog for 4 days and was nothing short of amazing. Dogs on the Run came very highly recommended and they have been a life saver when I needed a pet sitter for my 20 lb pug mix dog. Right from the start, their professionalism was evident. They were fast to respond and asked me a series of pertinent questions regarding my dog's requirements and temperament, so that they can find a pet sitter who was the best match. Based on our discussion, they connected me to Shae. Shae is the best pet sitter I have worked with. Shae was always punctual. My dog, Chewy, instantly bonded with her. Shae followed all my instructions perfectly. Chewy can be leash reactive and hence walking him can be challenging, But Shae was very patient and careful with him. At the end of each session, she would send a detailed report along with pictures, which I very much appreciated. She was a pleasure to work with and I will be requesting her services on a regular basis. After every pet sitting gig, 'Dogs on the run' always followed up with me to get my feedback and ensure my satisfaction. I highly recommend DOTR and Shae for your pet sitting needs.

This was our first experience using Dogs on the Run to care for our two dogs while away on a 4 night trip. Hanna and Jordan were amazing!! They took great care of our fur babies and our home. Would recommend Dogs on the Run and Hanna + Jordan to anyone. :)

March 2021 - Chris and Barbara are very special people and took excellent care of our 10 month old Maltipoo. He has stayed with them for both day care and overnight visits and I was very happy with the care they provided! I prefer that he get more attention and personalized attention at a smaller, home care setting (like Hugs) vs one of the other more commercialized dog care options. Chris and Barbara took our dog on a nice, long walk in the morning and evening. They were very flexible when our schedule changed and we needed to adjust the pick up time. And our dog came back clean, happy and tired :-) Update 4/2021 - our dog just stayed with Chris and Barbara for the past 10 days and they sent me pictures, videos and updates every day. Also got pictures of our dog sitting with them - I could tell that they truly care about him and he received lots of love in our absence. He celebrated his 1st birthday with them and my daughter was so sad that we weren’t with him. Chris and Barbara threw him a birthday party and FaceTimed with us so that we could see his party they put on - complete with birthday hats, balloons, dog cake and even a present! We were so appreciative and touched (especially my daughter)!

Hugs Pets Sittings did a truly outstanding and professional job caring for my lab Lola for overnight stays in the home-style setting we wanted for our pet. Not only was my dog cared for in a healthy and loving manner with multiple walks and much attention, but the owners also provided me with photos and and video updates throughout my trip so I could see how well Lola had adjusted to her new environment. Another bonus is Hugs Pet Sitting also allowed me to cancel a reservation 5 days prior due to a emergency hospitalization of a family member during the busy holiday season. Their understanding and compassion shows a business that really cares for its customers.

We were very fortunate to have found this place as we were looking for boarding for our furbabies. We love the fact that they get to roam freely and have access to indoor and outdoor space; it was the perfect home away from home for them. Chris and Barbara were very caring and we knew they were in good hands while we were out of town! We enjoyed all the daily check-ins and I know Kona and Milo look forward to their next visit! I've had our two dogs, Penny and Sidney, staying at Hugs Pet Sitting for 2 years now. When I first met Barbara and Chris in their home to discuss our needs, I was struck at how their house was 100% tailor-made to have dogs as guests. To have our dogs in a home environment with a limited number of dogs per day, tended to by TRUE dog-lovers who treat your dogs as if they are their own, is a dream come true. The first year, we had a major home remodel going on, and couldn't have our dogs underfoot with workers going in and out (open doors) and dangerous materials strewn about. Five days a week our dogs got to go to "Camp Cavanaugh" and be loved and pampered by Chris and Barbara. They always went out of their way to make sure they got love and affection, or walks, or pickups or drop-offs to my house when I was in a bind...they are the most generous-hearted people who truly do care. I also 100% know that if any sort of emergency were to arise, it would be handled immediately with intelligent and informed action. Our dogs bonded with their two dogs, Yuki and Peach, for life..they truly are best friends. Their German Shepherd Yuki can at first look imposing because of his size, but he truly is a gentle giant who wouldn't hurt a flea...he is so well mannered and such a gentleman and so sweet. Their other dog Peach is exactly as her name implies...a peach! A sweetheart who loves to play and be friends. Now that we're in our second year, we meet at the park for walks (again, our dogs are BFFs), and when we go out of town, our dogs get the treat of getting to stay at what I now refer to as "their cousin's home." We thank our lucky stars every day that we found Hugs Pet Sitting. It truly lives up to its name. Barbara and Chris both work from home, so the dogs truly are tended to and taken care of. Out of this fortunate connection we've found dear friends for life too, in Barbara and Chris! Dog lovers, they are the real deal!! Your search is over...just bring them to Hugs!

I can’t tell you how pleased I was with Hugs Pet Boarding and day care! I originally had my dog scheduled to be boarded at a facility for 10 days. This weighed on our shoulders for days before we left. The thought of him inside sleeping in a kennel and only going out to play with other dogs a few times a day was agonizing!! After searching I came upon Hugs doggy daycare/boarding. This was like finding a diamond in the rough! Everything from my first contact with Chris and Barb was nothing more than professional. We had a meet and greet before our trip and I felt completely confident that this was the place for our pup. They did not disappoint!! Every day they sent us a little video clip of how much fun our pup was having. We actually were concerned that he would not want to come home with us when we came to pick him up. He was having a great time!! Everyday! I would definitely refer my best friends and family and anyone who asks for a place to bring their fur babies to Hugs!!!

Our 6 month old Viszla puppy, Maple, had such a great time at Hugs! It was so comforting to be able to leave her in a home setting and get daily pictures/videos of her activities and behavior. She was so tired out when we picked her up from running around with the other dogs and it was clear she enjoyed herself! This was our first time leaving her with someone other than our family members and it's safe to say we will definitely be using Hugs again, highly recommend!

Chris and Barbara took wonderful care of our dog over our spring break vacation. They cared about her comfort and walked her everyday while she stayed with them. We felt lucky that she was in such good and caring hands. Their place was clean and set up wonderfully for dogs to roam freely and play. They even sent us pictures and videos showing what a great time our dog was having with the other dogs there. One thing especially I would give them a shout out for is how they took some time to screen the dogs they accepted. It was great knowing that they made sure our dog would be comfortable with the other dogs there before we left her there. I wish I could give more stars than five and definitely wouldn't think twice before having her stay with Chris and Barbara again in the future!

Chris and Barbara were wonderful hosts to our 7 month old golden retriever. They were quick to communicate. They sent updates daily. They were willing to work with our picky eater and make accommodations for him. They got him out for exercise daily. He was a happy pup when we picked him up after 3 nights! Our fur babies, Lola and Ziggy, come home happier when they are at Hugs versus anywhere else when we are out. Animal House Pet Care has been taking care of our Greyhounds for years. Susan and Gina and there capable staff LOVE our dogs and our dog LOVE them! They spend time with them, walk them and feed them and any other request we have. They are so caring about maintaining our house when we are away. When we come home, the have left flowers and a nice note about how much they enjoyed caring for our pets. They also text us images and videos of our pets so we care see how well they are cared for and when we miss them. Susan and her staff are without a doubt THE BEST!!!!!

Update November 2017 - THE BEST EVER DOG SITTER. It's been six years that we have been using Animal House Pet Care. Susan and Gina are the best. Professional, respectful and trustworthy. I would not trust my 2 doggies with anyone else. I really did not want to write this to share how good they are, since I don't want to compete with anyone taking my vacation slots but who they are and how well they treat animals does need to be shared with others that truly want the best for their dogs and animals. My review in 2011 - Susan has been taking care of our two standard poodles for over a year. She is very professional and her kindness towards our "girls" is great. She is very responsible and knows a lot about dogs and dog behavior. We would not trust many people with our girls. They are only two years old and very impressionable. They absolutely love her. We use Susan for weekly dog walks and when we go away on vacation. The house and the girls are in tip top shape when we get home from our vacations. Susan will text or call depending on what your need is. I know she is taking great care of them and I always get a note on how their walk went. It makes you feel relieved that someone with love for animals is taking care of your pet. You are in good hands with Susan. The best pet sitter I ever came across.

Gina and Susan are amazing! Ive know them for at least 15 years. They treat everyone well! They treat their employees equally and are very generous with them as well. I absolutely love how they present their company. They present their company with such honesty, integrity compassion, love, and much more!!! They truly represent what AHPC is all about. Its very difficult to find such class acts in business-Gina and Susan do it well!!!

I have been using Animal House Pet Care for more than 2 years. From a two dogs we had and a cat to now just a cat. Whatever the need and whenever the call they are their to answer. Not only do they send updates via text, but send pictures and videos upons request to ensure you that your pet or pets are in good hands. They even tidy up and leave you a little treat from r your pet and for you, usually delicious cookies!!!! Homemade as well. They are around all holidays and truly step up and do those little things that most places don’t. The prices are also are on par if not lower than most. Highly recommend using them.
