Excellent - Highly Recommend! We recently had the pleasure of having Abeela take care of our home and Toby the Cat while we were away, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the very start, communication was clear, prompt, and reassuring. Abeela took the time to understand Toby’s routines and habits, which gave us great peace of mind. During our time away, she provided regular updates and photos/videos of Toby, which was incredibly fun. It was clear that he was well-loved and in great hands. When we returned home, we found everything in perfect order—clean, tidy, and even better than we had left it. Toby was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Abeela went above and beyond, taking care of every detail. It’s evident that she takes pride in her housesitting and genuinely cares about the well-being of the pets and homes she looks after. We highly recommend Abeela to anyone in need of a reliable, trustworthy, and caring house sitter. We hope she will return again in the future! Lori and Jim

A responsible & cleanly couple looking for adventure & new furry friends! :)
I was very happy with Logan & Lindsey. They kept in touch regularly & with pictures, the house was left clean & tidy. I was delighted when they were able to get my shy cat Sasha socializing with them.

We love pets, housesitting and helping others! :)
Steve and Cindy did a wonderful job sitting for our 3 dogs. We came home to 3 content, tired pups. Which we know means they were exercised and loved. The dogs lost their tennis balls and Steve and Cindy were so kind to go buy new ones!! Above and beyond what we expect. They were also flexible as our dates changed then changed again. We would welcome them back anytime to stay with our girls.

Scottish import, professional & highly experienced caregiver.
Debs was so gracious when we made multiple changes to our sit plans at the last minute. She was flexible when we delayed our departure date and was enthusiastic about adding caring for our new rescue pup to her responsibilities. She came for a meet and greet a few weeks before the sit and showed up early on the first day to ensure the dog was comfortable. We appreciate having a wonderful local sitter and would love to have Debs stay at our house and care for our pets again.

Pet-loving Professional Couple Travelling and Working Remotely
Frank and Danielle were the perfect housesitters! They left our place very clean and we returned to homemade lentil soup, which was a lifesaver when you get home starving with nothing in the fridge. They sent me little updates daily (as asked) and our cat seems to warm up to them well. Would definitely have them back!!

Pet-loving couple exploring the world one sit at a time
Harley and Ben were a pleasure to work with! They were communicative, left the home looking clean, and our cat was relaxed and happy when we returned. Would recommend!
Mary was fantastic from start to finish and looked after our elderly dog with love and attention to her needs. She also looked after our home with respect and care. We couldn't have asked for a nicer sitter and would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.
Not only did Krista take great care of our cat while we were away, she left the house cleaner than she found it. She also kept in touch with occasional photos and videos of kitty antics, which gave me peace of mind that the cat was well-cared for. We definitely recommend her as a house and pet sitter and would ask her again in the future!
Felecia was an excellent sitter and perfect companion for Livi, our 3 yr old Aussie mix! She was always prompt with communication when needed, took great care of our pet and house and was just as clean coming home as we left it. I would not hesitate to recommend Felecia for other sits.
Erin was a great pet sitter who took such good care of little Chino. She was very reliable, kept us up to date with videos/pictures, looked after our home and kept it neat and tidy. She even left a thoughtful gift upon our return and was flexible with our travel plans. We would definitely recommend Erin for anyone looking for a reliable and friendly pet sitter!
Rachel was an excellent pet sitter for my cat. She was a good communicator and also kept my place very tidy. She even left me a gift of a bar of chocolate upon her departure! Highly recommend.
BriAnna was our first pet sitter and we loved her :). She made every step very simple for us, communication was great, Pastis and Anubis seemed to be very happy with her, and the house was very clean when we came back. We highly recommend BriAnna to take care of your pets and we would love to have her back!
We've had many pet sitters over the years (this is our first time using this app) and Missy is the best sitter we've ever had for our dog and cats. Our pets, particularly our dog, adored her and was really sad to see her go. It is obvious she loves animals and immediately understood the pack dynamics and the pet personalities. She kept the house tidy, litter box clean, and the animals so well loved. Because she was traveling from far away, she stayed with us the night before our trip and the night we came back. It was a pleasure to get to know her. We would welcome her back to our house as a friend or a sitter anytime. Highly recommend!
Lyndsey and Jordan were wonderful pet sitters and house guests. They kept us informed of how our pets were doing and went above and beyond to care for them. We felt entirely comfortable leaving our home and pets in their hands and arrived home to find everything tidy and the pets well cared for. We would absolutely have them sit again if the need arose.
Kuldip exceeded all the expectations we had from a Zeewoi. She took over from another sitter when we got stuck out of country due to a family emergency. A highly energetic person yet extremely organized, she easily matched the energy level of my 2-year-old Border Collie Pavo. She not only exercised him multiple times every day, but even him bought him new doggy toys and treats (much appreciated!). She got along very well with our neighbor and with their combined help Pavo got a much needed doggy bath! With her by my dogs side we were worry-free and able to focus on our family needs. Lastly, she left a pleasant surprise when we came back home. Our home looked squeaky clean and beautifully organized. Kuldip is a gem of a pet sitter and we would love to have her back for our fur baby without any hesitation. I highly recommend her!
Leo and Susi were wonderful pet sitters for our two cats. They were responsive, communicative, and gracious guests, and the I swear the house was cleaner when we got home than we left it. The cats were very contented. Any time we leave we will be checking in with them first. Such a pleasure to work with.

The OATH team are phenomenal with all animals AND Kristen has added value as a vet-tech. My elderly dog (who is like my child!) had a hot spot that I was not able to fix on my own, and Kristen nursed her back to health while I was away for a weekend. Not only did my dog heal quickly, she still LOVES going to Kristen's house. This speaks volumes about the level of comfort Kristen creates in her home for her guest dogs. My dog is naturally timid & shy, and I would not board her with anyone else. I would absolutely recommend Kristen to any of my friends and family with fur-babies.
We have used Kristen for over two years now and refuse to use anyone else to watch our dogs. A year ago we had an elderly dog that need special medications and daily fluids. I trusted Kristen to care for him while we were gone and she delivered. He has since passed, but now we have three dogs, all young and full of energy. Kristen generally takes them to her place while we are gone to join the pack. Honestly, I think they have more fun at her place then they do at ours. We can leave our dogs in her care and miss them terribly, but we NEVER WORRY about them while we are gone and that is a huge relief! I highly recommend her services.
I have never been a paying customers of Kristen(omelette and the Hound) but have had the privilege of having her and her business as neighbors for the past 3/4 yrs now. She cares for all dogs, clients or not. She has answered many questions and has even taken the time with a house full of clients to come down and check on my pits when we have any questions. She has stopped in to look at our pets while we are gone and has even taken the time to play and show them love. If your looking for a safe fun place to leave your animals or a reliable person to do walks or feeds while on vacation this is the place and Kristen is your girl. It's like a vacation for your animals while your gone.
Makes vacation so much more relaxing to know that my dogs are being so well taken care of. My dogs also love going over, so there's another bonus. I've never had to worry that something won't be addressed or that the dogs will get a lack of exercise. I love that my pups are treated just as well as they would be at home. Kristens professionalism and flexibility never cease to amaze me!!
If you are looking for dog boarding / care, this is the only place I would recommend!! Personally, my big guy has been in many different kennels for training's and boarding, and I have Never seen him so sad to leave someone else's house like he did from here.... I have invested over $18k in my dog, as he is a Master Hunter and more. He has specific health instructions and training's that need to be done, and they had no problem accommodating. I do not trust many people to watch him for a few hours, let alone overnight. He now has a second home when I am away, and the only other place besides mine is Omelette and The Hound! Thank you so much for proving everything you said you would be, your Professionalism and for exceeding expectations!! -Daro Powlison 5Oultimateadventures
My wife and I were feeling hopeless when it came to boarding our mini Goldendoodle. It was difficult to find a good location, fair pricing and someone trustworthy to take care of our pup when we were out of town. Finally we came across Holly’s website and were immediately intrigued. We reached out and Holly was so responsive and caring. We got a meet and greet scheduled right away and it went amazing. Holly and her family are so welcoming and easy to communicate with. It has been such a relief to have found Holly and now we always know we have a reliable plan for where our dog will stay when we need help with her. Our favorite part is the daily photo updates we get from Holly when she is watching our dog ♥️ thank you, Holly!
Holly was very easy to work with, responsive to communications, and thoughtful about taking care of my pup. I had a great trip knowing she was in good hands. The daily pics were not only adorable but high quality, too! Will definitely choose Holly again :)
We are so thrilled we found Holly Hearts Animals for our dogs first boarding experience. Holly took amazing care of her needs, gave her daily outings, and spoiled her as if she was her own. My husband and I really appreciated the daily updates & photos of her time in Holly’s care!
This review is long over-due. Holly has been caring for our 4 animals (2 cats and 2 dogs) for quite a while now, and she has been absolutely stellar! She is very communicative and very compassionate in the care of our animals. Pricing is fair. Two of our animals have medical issues and one of our dogs in particular has some mobility issues. Holly is always attentive and ensures our pup gets to play without pushing herself too far (she would play fetch all day if she could). When Holly cares for your animals, you can tell she really treats them like family. I would recommend her 100%. Thank you Holly for all you do for our family! PS: She takes some pretty great photos!
We always feel comfortable having Holly watch our two cats while we're away! Holly is responsive, lets us know if there are any issues, and sends the cutest daily photo updates. She goes above and beyond to make sure they feel loved (and we're updated) while we are away!
We left our pet rabbit with Holly for a week. I knew right away that she was in good hands. Holly carefully went over all the instructions with us before we said good bye and made sure our little bunny had a comfortable set up. Then, amazingly, we got wonderful photos and updates throughout the week. Everyone was having a good time together. We were so grateful to have found Holly to share their home and attention with our little friend. Holly is really special.
Our dog loved her stay with Holly and family so much and it was such a huge relief for us to know she was being well taken care of while we were gone. Holly sent daily pictures which were much appreciated. Highly recommend!
Holly provided care for our two cats for a week. I could tell by the cute pictures she sent each day that the cats were very comfortable with her. She even took care of an ant evasion we had, putting out ant traps we had to keep the pests away from the cat food! She always replied promptly to texts we sent while away. I will definitely use her services again.
Holly has taken care of my kitty a couple times now and has done such a good job. She checks on my girl reliably and sends me photo updates everyday so I feel reassured that everything is ok back home. Vacations are so much more relaxing when I know my fur baby is being looked after. I highly recommend Holly!
Holly has been incredible with our 1+ yo dog, Maggie. Maggie is full of energy and love and needs a lot of attention and play. Holly expertly guides Maggie through her days and always sends us lots of great photos to put our minds at ease. She has been very flexible to meet Maggie’s needs and our busy schedule. Her toddler is great around dogs, just like her mom!
What a wonderful DogTown!! My canine companion and I have been attending obedience and agility classes for over a year. He is incredibly sociable and expresses his joy with melodious howls in the parking lot and upon entering the class premises. The positive atmosphere here is truly refreshing, unlike the classes where harsh methods like "collar yanking" are advocated for correcting dogs. Stacy and Amanda possess a nuanced understanding of canine behavior, evident in their passion for what they do. Utilizing treat-based training has proven effective for my dog, enabling him to perform tasks off-leash for extended periods without the need for constant reinforcement. My dog also hates having his nails trimmed and they are wonderful with him, kind and persistent until it’s done, and without the tranquilizers my vet wanted to use. *****
Have been attending this facility for many years. Have signed up for several training classes and also attend drop in classes hosted in the evening on Tuesdays and Wednesday every week. Clean facility that has been updated through the years. Great dog washing station and an array of treats snacks food and toys provided. Highly recommend their puppy classes and if your interested in showing the evening weekly drop in classes
We've been coming to DogTown for the past few years and the staff consistently amazes me. We've taken our dog Juneau to puppy training as well as agility training where they really train you (and the dog, somewhat)! Stacy, Brooke, and Amanda are all great leaders - fantastic communication and are very patient. We also take Juneau to DogTown weekly for daycare and occasionally board her. They usually post photos end of every day so you can find your dog if it was in daycare. All staff we've interacted with in person and online via email are friendly and quick to respond. Huge thanks to Alyssa too for always answering my questions and being flexible. Aside from 5-star customer service, we appreciate their approach to accepting dogs for daycare and boarding. Their positive training approach makes a perfect environment for pets. And if they don't think your dog will thrive in their daycare environment (like my older Yorkie after a couple of test rounds), they are honest with sharing what's best for the dog. Huge shoutout to DogTown for being a place we can trust.
This is a wonderful facility that offers you can do it, dog wash, doggy daycare, lots of accessories and merchandise for sale, and great training classes with wonderful staff!
The owner and her entire staff at Dogtown are caring and professional in everything they do. We have been coming for years for daycare, boarding, and obedience training for two of our dogs and could not be happier. Our newest dog is a rescue and was very timid and afraid when we first brought him in. The owner worked with us to gradually get him to feel safe there and now he runs in, tail wagging, pulling me behind him! Dogtown is a safe and caring environment for your dog.
My dogs and I participate in obedience training at Dog Town. We enjoy the packed hour long classes and our trainer.
the crew is incredible and the love for what they do shows each time I drop off or pickup my pup. ❤️
I first heard about Dogtown through quite a few of my clients taking their dogs here and having positive experiences. My dog is dog reactive and I had been trying to find a trainer with a Reactive dog class. Dogtown was the closest to me and I inquired about it. I had to take a private class with Stacy in order to be put on the waiting list, to ensure that he was alright to take the class. At that point they were 3 weeks into a class, and the next class was full, so I had to wait about 9 weeks. I do appreciate that the class sizes are smaller, and there’s only three other dogs in the class. This obviously helps to make sure everyone stays safe, but also make me feel better about not overloading Pistachio with a bunch of people and dogs at once. We went through the level one calm and collected and Dani is great! I already had been really working with my dog on his reactivity since November of last year. I adopted him last June and really didn’t know his history, and he’s also my first dog, so I’m starting from scratch with him. Since I had been working with him so much, and doing so much research on how to help him, taking the level one class didn’t necessarily give me any new information. However! the class helped him so much!! It was our first opportunity to be in a controlled environment with other dogs so we could work on that positive reinforcement! All the exercises/warm-ups that she had us do, though simple & small, were so helpful for him! For our last class Dani was able to bring in a neutral dog to work with everyone. I will say I was nervous about Pistachio‘s reaction, but I knew this was the best place to do this. The difference from week one to week six was insane! I had never seen him so relaxed, or focused on me ever! I was so proud of him, and so thankful that we were able to take the class, even though I did have my doubts at first. And the other dogs in the class made a lot of progress too, it was very cool to see how far everyone had come! We are now taking the level two class, and so far it’s been great! We’ve only had two classes, but I’ve learned tons more so far! This class is challenging both Pistachio and I a lot more, and having us work on areas that we haven’t really focused on before. I have no doubt that by week six he will have made a ton of progress! Maybe not as much as the level one since this is all new to him, but I think it’ll still be quite a bit!
Our dog has been going here since he was around 16 weeks old. Well-managed dog groups, amazing staff and owner. Johann loves everyone at DogTown!
I take my dog, Artemis, here every Saturday to play with other dogs in Daycare. She loves it! It's great and has really helped her socialize nicely with other dogs. We also took her through basic obedience, and the class was done so well! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a dog and needs training, or just wants them to get a little dog socialization time.
I LOVE this place! The little welcoming area doesn't even begin to allow you to understand just how great it is. I took my 1year old Frenchie who has never been in this type of environment. For $5 i get an update each day to see how she was playing, anything information important to know and the report card is just such an incredible offer. The humans who work there are so attentive and supportive to the pups. They are very kind when you engage with them in any form. The prices are beyond reasonable. The place is so much bigger for the dogs and has so many little offerings you can purchase. The boarding is free roam no crates. My girl comes home so pooped out and happy that she has a place to play and board if I go out of town. I have zero complaints and highly recommend!!
We've been taking our 9 month old puppy here for a few months now and we love it (and so does he!). The staff is super friendly and very clearly care a LOT about the dogs that go to them. I love love love the daily Instagram posts, I get more excited to see what he's doing at daycare than I think I ever was about my human kids at daycare (kidding. Or am I?). Webster gets SO excited when we get there, and I can tell that he loves it and loves the humans there. Also their hours are so convenient, and love that they offer kennel-free boarding.
Wooftastic is one of the best things to happen to us since moving here. Our girl has a lot of energy and this place has made a home for her there when she needs time to run around and be a crazy little lady. We always feel that she is so well taken care of, we love their no crate boarding, which is what she was used to. Everyone is kind and attentive and we would recommend this place to anyone who has a doggy that needs daycare or boarding.
Fern loves going to daycare. The way they run scheduling, pick up and drop off, and payment makes everything super smooth. Staff is very friendly and always makes sure to ask if he has food with him and reminds me to grab his container at the end of the day. Also love the convenient hours 6am-9pm, 7 days a week as well as a good price point. They post all of the dogs everyday so you can check in on your pup they also offer extras like treats and walks and do fun activities like bubbles, aromatherapy, nose balm. Overall great place definitely would recommend.
We've been lucky enough to send our precious dog Georgia to Wooftastic for the past 8 months. They've always been so nice and welcoming when we pick and drop her off. They have great hours and rates. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in search of a good doggy daycare.
I am so happy and grateful to have found Woof-Tastic for my pup, Maya! I have been SO impressed with the kindness of the staff, their communication, and care. The environment is bright and fun and just matches what you read and see online. And I can tell Maya, although still a little timid and shy, is warming up, feeling safe, and having a great time! I feel so relieved and can not reccomend Woof-Tastic enough! <3
My sweet Ruby is always so excited to go to daycare. The team there takes such good care of her and I never have to worry while I’m away. She comes home happy & exhausted. 10/10 would recommend!
I’ll let my dog’s smile speak for itself. I’m so happy we found Woof-Tastic! The flexible booking system is easy, and I feel my dog is safe with them which is important. My girl got so excited to go on her 2nd day that she couldn’t wait to say goodbye and go see her friends. The rates are more than fair, which is a big plus. 10/10.
We absolutely LOVE Wooftastic Playhouse! Our dog has so much fun there. He is safe and well loved. They post pictures of all the dogs to their Instagram each day, which I love! There's no other place that I've felt as confident boarding my pup. I highly recommend them!!!
This has been the best daycare for tater. He loves it. No hesitation to go in. He plays and runs with the others. Very happy compared to the last daycare he was at. Thank u
Whitney performed magic with my 9 month old littermate puppies. These two biewer terriers were more than I could handle with the basic training. Working with Whitney to send my pups to her for a two week boot camp, from beginning to end was a delight. Her communication was excellent, letting me know at every step what to expect. I received video and picture updates about every two days while they were away. When Whitney brought them back to me at the end of the training camp, I now had two dogs who had learned basic commands and were much calmer. Even though they are still learning, I now have their attention and with Whitney's step-by-step instructions, I've been able to continue their training at home. I highly recommend and trust her with anyone's pet!
Sage was so personable and so knowledgeable. We had a special situation in that I need to walk with walking sticks. She had several suggestions of how to teach her to walk with us without attacking the sticks. It’s working already. She also brought several training tools. So helpful to have these tips when training our 4 mo old pup. We will definitely be back in touch with her. Highly recommend!
Sage is an amazing dog trainer! Literally the best! I took Hachi to her two week boarding school and he came back a whole different dog. He’s actually responding to me and I feel confident working with him compared to before. Sage sent me so many videos and pictures of Hachi while he was with her and made me feel comfortable. So so happy she got to train my dog! She really is an expert! 10/10 recommend! 🩷
We left our 3-year-old dog with Sage for the board and train to brush up on some behaviors like heeling while walking, and staying calm / not jumping up while greeting new people. We saw great results, and have learned new ways to continue the training on our own. That said, we will likely be returning clients for boarding and brushing up on training too. Would recommend!
Wonderful dog training experience! This is our first dog and we felt a bit overwhelmed and clueless- Sage gave wonderful tips to help give us insight into the canine mind. She even drove to our house for a follow-up visit to check on our progress! Wonderful company!
We used Om for our aggressive, hyper, and nippy rescue. Before Om life was very stressful just taking a walk with him. Although he is still needs work, Sage was able to help change him for the better. After the two week program, he no longer steals our other dogs things, is way less aggressive to other dogs when we walk, and I'm overall less stressed! Thank you! Will use again :)
Whitney was amazing with our two dogs. Frank is a quirky, stubborn old boy that needs a special person to understand him and Maple was a wild puppy. Whitney expertly worked with both of them to give us some calm in the house. They stayed with her while we were on vacation last summer which is always nerve wracking because of Frank’s anxiety. He did great and we enjoyed our trip knowing they were in good hands! I highly recommend Whitney and Om Dog Club!
I contacted Whitney after having gotten 2 sibling German Shepard pups. Meeting Whitney I was immediately put at ease by her making a great connection with the pups and her very organized plan for training. After completing the training course I am definitely empowered to handle and more importantly ENJOY my dogs! This was the best choice that I have made regarding my pups. I Highly recommend!!!
Whitney is so knowledgeable and kind and just an overall good human. She did a wonderful job with our pup and has been available for follow up when training opportunities come up. She has also trained dogs of our friends and I would recommend her to anyone.
We had been struggling to find a training program that was successful for our Golden Retriever pup. He can be a bit ADHD and gets easily overstimulated and distracted, so group puppy classes were a total flop. We tried private lessons in our home and he performed beautifully, but the minute he got around other dogs or people would lose all self-control. Then, we discovered Whitney at Om Dog Club! The training methods she uses are incredibly effective, and I love how willing she was to work with our pup's needs, making extra effort in areas that were more challenging for him. It's obvious she truly cares about each of the dogs she works with. The way she runs her program offers the perfect mixture of distracting and controlled environments, which is exactly what our dog needed. I think he even learned a thing or two from just being around her well behaved pack! We are so impressed with all the progress he made in his program. I would HIGHLY recommend it!!
I love the free day opportunity. It is understandable sense my dog has been training through severe separation anxiety for a couple months after his previous owners kenneled him until he was 5 months. He's a quick study and the man that lead him into his dog daycare was the 1st my dog has ever gone with without pulling and the man saw that he was better the next day. Phew! I recommend this place. Check out the savings on the buying options. The price is right. Also feels like a good and happy neighborhood dog daycare. My dog came back tired and ready to eat. They have great prices on meals but I just feed him so he has a routine.
My beloved, healthy mini schnauzer DIED in their care from horrific injuries. Your dog is not safe with them. I trusted them with my sweet little pup and he never came back home.
I called to speak with someone about boarding my dog and they were so rude! I said, "Happy Friday! How are you?" To which they scoffed and replied, "What do you need?" I said I was thinking of boarding my dog, but not when they spoke to me like that. The person laughed and said, "That's fine." And hung up. if this is how they treat the humans, I worry how they treat the animals. No thanks.
This place is awesome!!! My dogs love coming here, and they are always so tired when I pick them up, which is great because a lot of the time during the work week, I do not have time to play with them. Cheaper than any other place in the PDX area as they have package deals for weeks/months. More days you buy, cheaper it is overall. Pickup/drop off process is quick and efficient. The sweet lady that works here is a hoot and always making me laugh. Thank you, Safe Journey!
I just gotta say, I absolutely love this place! The staff and environment are incredibly friendly and welcoming. my two rotties always have such a good time there. I know my boys can be difficult at times, but they are very patient with them and they always come home happy and healthy wiggle butts! <3
Been coming here for since my dog was a puppy and she loves it! When I drop her off she gets so excited and runs straight to the door to wait for Julia or Craig to come get her! We love Safe Journey and are so grateful for your services!
I have nothing negative to say about them. Only thing is that i wish they were closer to Troutdale. I absolutely love bringing my dog here. He always comes home very very tired. You can tell that the staff here is very knowledgeable about what they're doing as well. I drop him off before work or a trip and i leave with a peace of mind. i appreciate how they try to accommodate my schedule as well. I also love how they don't kennel their dogs. My dog has terrible separation anxiety and a kennel would not be a good time for him. I really appreciate this business, and the staff that can make it all happen. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs a great doggy day care.
This place holds one of the worst experiences I have ever had. This happened 1 year ago. I took my sweet old pup there for a few day care trials in anticipation of a potential 10 day stay. He seemed to liked it so I went ahead and book his long stay. Conin was at Safe Journey a total of 5 days and he died. They emailed me while I was abroad to tell me my dog had not eaten in 3 days and that he was in poor health. 3 days! I immediately had a family friend go pick him up and 24 hours later he was dead. Not only this has been dramatic and absolutely devastating, but I also had to deal with the complete and utter lack of responsibility Safe Journey decided to take regarding this after I arrived back in the US. I received long emails from them with just excuses. I strongly believed that my dog was left in isolation, not fed and not cared for at all. He was so dehydrated when my friend picked him up, that even after 24 in intensive care they could not revive him. This place is extremely dodgy, they thrive themself as specialized in "difficult dogs", and so i trusted these people with my 15 year old mutt. He was a healthy old pup, and within 5 days he became ill and died. They took no responsibility, they did not offer to reimburse me for the days he did not spend in there, there was zero care, only a bunch of excuses. The recent number of horrible review have encouraged me to speak up. At the time, I reported them to the better business bureau. I strongly encourage you to do the same if you had a poor experience there. Below is a photo of Conin on August 24th (the day I dropped him off) and the photo of him 6 days after. Bless him.
We love Safe Journey so much! Craig and the team care so much about our pup and make sure he’s having a good time- whether he feels like relaxing alone or playing with others. It’s such a life saver to have a neighborhood hang out spot we can drop in any day or time. The rates are fantastic as well. Thanks Safe Journey team!
My dogs love this place! Kennels can be anxiety inducing, especially for resuce dogs. At Safe Journey, they get to socialize freely, making it more natural for all the dogs. In addition to our dogs being happy, they have very flexible availability and fair pricing, a must for last-minute travelers like myself.
Mountain View was clean and comfortable for my 3 dogs. I believe they truly enjoyed themselves there and were happy With the arrangement in the kennel and outside.. They were especially friendly to the people there So I know they were very good to them and watched out for them as well. My. My 14 year old dog Really enjoys his time outside and this was perfect for him.. The puppies really I had a good time and and seem to love all the people there. I so appreciate them taking such wonderful care of them. I have not gone anywhere in several years and and I truly wanted to visit family I'm late I haven't seen quite some time. Very nice people, very nice arrangement, and great fun/care for my babies. Thank you so much Mountain View. Nora
It was the first time in two years that we were taking a vacation without our little ones so placement was very important. My son and his wife recommended Mt. View kennels so we decided to give them a try. Wow! My dogs loved it there. Even when we returned after being gone 12 days they didn’t run straight to us, but rather to the owner, Terry. Which tells me that they really enjoyed themselves. Even the transition back to their own home hasn’t been quite as clingy as it has been in the past. I love finding a facility for my dogs that they love and don’t mind spending time at.
Very nice, clean and well organized. We boarded our pups (9 months old) here for 5 days. We came to get them, they were still clean and happy. The owners are very kind, and the kennels are clean, good sized, and most importantly safe. The fenced in play area or break area is ample for two playful pups. I would highly recommend this place, and really appreciate the good care they gave our puppy's. Also, we brought plenty of treats, bedding and toys. We came back to pick them up, we got all their bedding and toys back. Thank you for being their for us, and for helping us have a good trip with no worries about our babies!
I have boarded my dog here several times and she does well there. That cannot be said of other boarding facilities. They are very accommodating and wish to make the dogs comfortable. My dog is blind and deaf, an elderly little dog on medication and eye drops. Terrie takes very good care that everything is given as prescribed. I highly recommend them.
Could not speak more highly of Mountain View Boarding Kennel. The amount of love and care that was given to our 3 small dogs was truly amazing. Communication from Terry throughout our extended stay away was so comforting. She paid special close attention to the needs of each of our girls, even providing a special diet for a high anxiety pup. The facilities are clean and secure. We love the grassy, fenced yard and indoor/outdoor options in each kennel. Our girls, their bedding, and their toys all came back clean, and our dogs were healthy and happy. We found a gem with Terry and Mountain View.
This is by far, the best place to take your dog in Oregon. The staff are incredibly friendly and great your dog with respect. My parents have been taking our dog here for 15+ years and we have never had a single complaint. The woman at the front desk is extremely friendly. You can easily tell that everyone working there loves being there and loves dogs. I hope this place never goes away.
The first time I used their service for my babygirl, she was fine and didn't come home with any injuries. However, the second time, she came home with a couple days old wound on her nose. When I asked the front staff about it, he said it had to have happened when I was picking her up, and she ran to the back to put her nose in another kennel and another dog got her. The wound was clearly not fresh, as in it happened while she was there a day or two before I picked her up. I received a call later that day and the lady said something entirely different. She stated she got that from pushing her food bowl around (something she never does). The way the wound looks, its definitely not from pushing a bowl. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. They didn't offer a discount or anything at all. We will not be going back to them. Who knows what they do to our animals when we are gone.
We just fostered our German shepherd here for 9 days. We left him with an old bed, two toys and plenty of food. First things first, and not a complaint just something I noticed- I calculated what we would have to pay beforehand ($25/day for 9 days - $225), but when we paid, our total was $229, not sure where this number came from as it's such a small difference, but if the pricing has changed, their website and pamphlets need to be updated. It was only $4 so I didn't bring it up. Anyway, that is literally the only thing I questioned. When I was initially looking for a place to board our dog, I stopped by and a gentleman was at the desk, I didn't get his name. But he provided me with so much information and gave me a full tour of the facility and explained the sleeping area, heated kennels, private run, and the large yard that each dog would be taken to during the day one at a time. The privacy was what truly drew us to this place, as our dog can be pushy with other dogs and doesn't know how big he is. Hunter was perfect and healthy and his same goofy self when we picked him up. Over the 9 days, Terry called us twice to provide updates on Hunter and her compliments of him were so wonderful to hear. We didn't have service during half our trip as we were up in the mountains, so she left a voicemail and getting that message when we came back into service was great and allowed us to enjoy our trip. We sent a really old bed with him that we didn't care if it got messed up, which we knew would happen. at some point it got urinated on so we tossed it, but thats why we sent that particular bed with him, plus we're moving and trying to get rid of stuff so it worked out perfectly! Terry mentioned she was going to try to wash the cover but couldn't remove it (we had put a fleece blanket cover on it where you get fabric and tie the edges together to make a blanket). That was extremely generous of her and definitely an extra-mile offer. When we got there to pick hunter up, all his things (food, bowl, toys, records) were at the front desk waiting and we just had to go back and get him and his bed. Very smooth process. Oh and you don't pay until you pick up your dog, which is kind of cool. The 5 star rating is definitely earned and deserved. I would leave a 10 star if I could. The only thing that would make it an extra special experience would be receiving picture updates of our dog running around the yard just to give owners peace of mind that their dog is getting yard time. I have no questions about it, but getting pictures is always fun. I absolutely 100% trust my dog in their care and love that we have such a great and affordable boarding option close by!
Have used Mountain View several times over the past few years. The facility is very clean and well run. And they love my dog. Anymore he willingly runs from the car to the kennel when I drop him off and doesn’t look back. Love this place!
Love Mountain View Boarding Kennel. No, they don't always answer the phone. They are busy taking care of your dog!! (Leave a message, they will call back) Cooper, my Springer, has boarded there several times. They are reasonable, convenient, and treat him well. It is a clean, well run facility. He gets fed, exercised and gets to bark at and with other dogs. They even wash his bed, before I return. Highly recommend it.
When we board our dogs with Nature's Acres we can travel with peace of mind that our pups are taken care of. We have a dog that can't be in the same space with other dogs- they have special kennels that actually provide better socialization than what I can do. The staff take special care to follow prescriptions and feeding instructions. We've used both overnight boarding and daycare when we travel or night our dogs out of the house. If there is ever a problem they call to follow up. We trust them with our babies. These are truly dog people. Big thanks to the staff on behalf of Rose & Dexter
5/5 Stars! Highly recommended!! Quite the gem located in Damascus. We've been taking our lg English lab here for many years and have always had the most excellent experiences! The staff is always friendly, professional, and experienced. Very well-priced, especially for the quality of services received. They offer over night kenneling as well as day care and baths too! This time we took our shy/timid 1st time boarder, our small border collie mix for an overnight stay as well, and we weren't sure how she would do. The staff there went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and at-home. Both of our family companions enjoyed their stay there, and will definitely be returning! Thank you Natures Acres!!
I recently boarded my 2 dogs with Nature's Acres for 10 days. I was very impressed with how friendly and attentive the staff was. I was pleased with the facilities as well. I felt like my dogs were being well taken care of while we were on vacation. Thank you!
I had never used a boarding service before this. I had to, very last minute, find boarding for my young Doberman. Luckily they had a cancellation and were able to fit us in. I was extremely impressed with the facilities and the staff. The staff were all very kind and knowledgeable. They seemed to actually enjoy working there and genuinely love the dogs. The facilities were incredible!! It was a huge area completely fenced in and I loved that the dogs were all free of collars and leashes. They had a very detailed form to get to know the pup and how to handle him, it was fantastic as he has dietary restrictions. I will 100% use them again.
If you are looking for a wonderful place to take your dogs, look no further than Natures Acres. Lexa and AJ are the best hosts you can ask for. They are always friendly, helpful and kind to both you and your furry friends. They go the extra mile to make sure your dogs are happy and comfortable. Natures Acres is a highly recommended destination for any dog lover.
Our four dogs love coming here! We're pretty sure our husky-pyrenees mixes would move-in fulltime if we let them. We have a unique perspective, because Natures Acres boarded our large dogs for two consecutive months when we first relocated to PDX from NC. We visited our dogs every weekend and they always looked perfectly happy and healthy. Since then, they have kept our whole pack two more times, including for a recent two-week stint. All of the employees here are so kind and genuinely dog-lovers, which means the quality of care is top-notch. And every time we visited, we noticed there were constantly people cleaning thorough-out the facility. We felt confident leaving our pups in their care and Leela, Bo, Bandit, & Ernie are looking forward to their next visit!
Super nice and smart dog people run this place. Affordable and conscientious. Our german shepherd is good dog, but also a handful and she was loved by the staff. We did learn our dog can jump 7' fences (twice) so they moved here to a more secure kennel. Highly recommended!
Natures Acres has always been nice and very accommodating. Easy to work with and a great staff. Monty is a high energy cattle dog and they have no problems taking care of him. On our most recent stay our flight was delayed and we couldn't pick Monty up as scheduled. The staff at Natures Acres was nice enough to let us pick him up the next day, on a holiday when they were closed. Thanks for your help!
This place is great. The staff are really amazing with the dogs. Ours dogs are always happy to stay! Highly recommend for their boarding.
Terrific place to take your dog and am beyond appreciative for how the staff takes care of and interacts with our German Shepherd Oakley as he can be a little difficult. The staffs attention to detail and how well they take care of the animals and facility is top notch. Would recommend this kennel to anyone!! Thanks to all at Natures Acres as I sleep well knowing all of you are taking great care of our boy!!
Our two miniature schnauzers, aged 2 yrs & 7 yrs, love A Dog’s Best Friend East. They have both attended daycare and overnights on several occasions. The staff is very caring and attentive. The facility is safe and clean. Our younger dog also completed the excellent board and train program. Both dogs are eager to join in the fun when they are dropped off. They come home happy and tired from a day of play. We are grateful for A Dog’s Best Friend and would recommend any of their services to dog parents who are seeking quality dog care in Vancouver.
What a great place for a pup that's learning how to socialize! We just took our 6 month old puppy to be assessed for daycare. I love that there are webcams so we could watch Miles interact with the other pups. The staff was extremely attentive, the facility is clean, and I loved receiving photos and a report card at the end of Miles' visit. Not to mention, playing all day wore him out and he got to burn off his energy in a safe and positive way! We can't wait to book more days there.
The facility is awesome the enrichment to build confidence and tackle new things is a first time for me. Their training is amazing. Special shout-out to Taylor. Everybody here is so knowledgeable but she was super helpful with our offsite training. Already made lots of progress on our nervous Nelly. Pic 1 enrichment. Pic 2 training with a slip lead to get more confidence at the park. Yes his sister walks him around and guides him with his stress and nervousness it's adorable 😍🥰
We loved the doggy day care when we lived closer. Never had any bad incidents or habits picked up. I fully trust the staff with my fur-baby. I still drive all the way from the coast just to use this location for “sleep overs” when I need help in a pinch. We also did the ~2-3 week board and train at around 1 years old, with Taylor, and specifically asked for leash skill help. She’s now two and calmly walks with a loose leash. I frequently get compliments on her behavior.
WOW! What a difference three weeks with Taylor and board & train at A Dogs Best Friend can make. Holy smokes. We are so happy and very proud of our dog’s progress and have so much to thank Taylor for. Folks send their dogs to board and train programs for many reasons. For us, we wanted support honing previously learned skills, learning recall, and curbing a few unwanted behaviors such as excitedly lunging and jumping at people, fence fighting, and barking. We were nervous about so many things. What would we do without our boy for three weeks? Would his sweet and playful personality be the same when he returned? Could we stick to it and reinforce his learning at the end of it all? The three weeks away were tough. But we timed it with a family vacation which helped a lot. As for the dog we picked up at the end; Ozzie is the exact same amazingly sweet and playful dog. But he is so much more confident, calm, and responsive. He honestly seems like a much happier dog. Almost like he feels and shares the pride we have in him. And with the tools and confidence it has given us, we can now give him the fulfilling life he deserves. THANK YOU, TAYLOR! We look forward to continuing this journey with you.
We are very happy with the training our puppy had. Our trainer was wonderful. She worked with us as well as Charlie. He has learned so much. A different dog. William and Carolyn Nicolay
I’ve been taking my Corgi to A Dog’s Best Friend East for boarding since we moved to Washington over two years ago. They have always been consistently welcoming, caring, pleasant and efficient. Several months back my dog needed medical attention while boarding. We were traveling out of state at the time. Staff was on quickly on top of things and took him to our vet nearby where we followed up.
Our puppy and I love ADBF! Luna was extremely shy and skittish before we brought her to this place for puppy kindergarten. Before this place, she would freak out and had accidents at the vet, and would scoot back when people and pets approached her. After bringing her to their kindergarten program, she has been more confident and happy to be around everyone! She no longer whines or shy away at the vet, she can tolerate/enjoy it when people and pets approach her now. I love the webcams they have on their website, we can see what she’s doing during the day. Also we receive report cards at the end of the day and it’s very helpful for us to understand what she’s learned during that day! She also stayed overnight when we were on our vacation and we received how she did overnight. I really love their report card system! We really appreciate the staffs at ABDF.
We had a great experience with the ADBF board and train. Taylor, the trainer, was wonderful with our 2 y/o dog, Iggy. Even though it was hard dropping him off, he came back calmer and just a better version of himself. He continues to make gains in confidence and impulse control each day. The best part is that his dog reactivity is virtually nonexistent now, which gives us new freedom to go anywhere without anxiety. We can just relax and enjoy each other’s company. Thanks ADBF!
My sweet pup learned so much and was well cared for. Taylor had such a calm demeanor at all times but was a respected leader for Lucy in her training. To be able to walk her on "heel" and be so mannerly in her obeying commands makes her even more of a joy. I'm very grateful for so many breakthroughs and will do my best to follow Taylor's training,
Alexis has been wonderful, and you can really tell she loves animals! My husband and I had been using a larger pet sitting company but got fed up because the service and comminunication were lacking. I found Sit and Walks with a Google search, read reviews, and asked Alexis for a meet. We've used her services for cat sitting our 3 cats while away for 2 vacations so far (we also already have her booked for dates in November). Alexis is quick to respond to texts and sends photo updates everyday. Our fur babies mean so much to us, and Alexis gives them plenty of attention, playtime, pets, and love (we think our youngest cat is in love with her). She's very thorough with cleaning the litter boxes and makes sure the cats have plenty of food and water. I've attached photos that Alexis has sent to us as updates. I've already deleted the number for the old pet sitting company we used before meeting Alexis. We're so happy we found Alexis and will continue to use her for all our future pet sitting needs.
Alexis is amazing! She's been sitting for our pups for several years now, and we all absolutely adore her. She's trustworthy, kind, and treats our dogs like her own. One of our pups is very anxious and Alexis has been so loving and patient with her.
Alexis is amazing! We needed someone to check on our high-maintenance cat for a week. We found Sits and Walks on Google. Before we left home, Alexis came over for an orientation. Our cat hides from strangers so Alexis didn't get to meet her. I explained that our cat is a little bit wild, a picky eater, gets hairballs, and is weary of strangers. We were worried that our cat would just hide and barely eat. But after the first visit, our cat warmed up to Alexis. We received many photos of our fur baby playing with Alexis and getting her cheeks scratched, as well as daily visit reports. Our cat ate well and enjoyed her new visitor while we were away. We wouldn't hesitate to hire Sits and Walks again. Dependable, trustworthy, super nice and great communicator. Thank you Alexis!
Alexis was my petsitter and dog-walker for years. She cared for my cat Brody and dog Reina. She is so reliable and kind. Brody, my cat, had kidney disease and required daily fluid infusions. When I found out I was so worried I was going to have to board him at the vet whenever I was away, but Alexis didn't even flinch. She administered fluids to him with love whenever I was away, and I knew Brody was stress-free and comfortable at home. It meant the world to me, and probably Brody too, since he hated the vet! Later, when my husband and I first moved in together she also became our go-to walker and sitter for our dog, Reina. She came several times a week to take Reina out midday, and Reina - a typically shy dog - warmed to her immediately and ended up crazy in love with Alexis. Alexis kept an observant eye out for their well-being whenever she came by. She'd turn on the AC or heat if the temperature is uncomfortable, administer medicine if they needed it, text me updates, and let me know if anything seemed different - like a lackluster coat or change in habits. She was my best ally in their care, and I'm so grateful for her responsibility, dedication and big heart. She relocated to a new area and we miss her dearly, but know she'll find new clients that find her indispensable and new pets that absolutely love her! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
Highly recommended! Alexis is diligent about communicating about the status of my pets while I am away and I know that they are in good hands. Prices are reasonable.
Alexis is the best! I have yet to find anyone to come close to replacing here since she moved. Upon first meeting my 25 lb Maine Coon, he loved her. He doesn't really do new people. He even hissed at me when I got him as a kitten.. but not Alexis! She was always reassuring and sent check in photos of my baby, snuggles and brushes, not just opening a can of food and leaving. Even when an emergency popped up a few days after she had just watched him, she jumped on it. Portland, you're really lucky to have her!
Alexis is awesome! She has taken care of our 6 cats while we’ve been out of town twice. She feeds them, fills their water fountains, and cleans the litter boxes every morning. She sends us pictures of all of them and updates us on anything going on in the house daily. We appreciate her very very very much! The kitties love Alexis and can’t wait for her to come back 😻
Alexis is super reliable and great with pets. We were able to enjoy a week-long vacation knowing our little ladies were in good hands. Alexis is thorough and a great communicator, keeping us updated with texts and pictures. Daily medication was no problem, and she makes certain emergency plans are in place. You can tell Alexis loves her work and your pets will love her too.
I've been using Alexis for years. I had a kitty with kidney failure that needed regular medication and special feedings. Alexis came over and learned exactly what I needed her to do and text me a follow up so I could keep track of my kitty's health and progress...and not worry. She took great and gentle care of both my cats. She's conscientious, kind, honest and responsible...I can't recommend her enough. Feel free to contact me if you'd like more details.
We referred to Alexis as "the other woman" in my house because my dog loved her so much. She used to come every weekday when I was at work and take my boy out for a good long walk and then back to the house for fresh water, treats and some lovin' and brushin' before turning his "stories" on the TV for him. On those occasions when I'd have a late meeting Alexis would swing by and make sure he got a potty break and dinner also. It took such a load off of my mind knowing he got the exercise and attention he needed regardless of how hectic my work schedule. And I loved the photos she'd send sometimes of my baby taken during their walk. It made my day every time. We miss her so much since she's moved up north!
