If you’re looking for a doggy day care, stop searching, you found the one! If I could give 10 stars I would. This was my first time ever dropping off my husky Koda (5 years old) to anyone’s house other than family. I was nervous and I knew he would be to. Tamara and her husband reassured me and did everything they could to make Koda and I comfortable. She sent me real time updates and photos of what he was doing. She let me know how he was doing in the day and at night. His first night was rough being there without anyone he knows, but they kept him company and by night two he was comfortable and felt at home. When I picked him up I could tell he did not want to leave! I will for sure be bringing Koda back here in the future. Thank you Dappy Dayz Dogs!

First time leaving my girl Dixie with someone other than family. We went on a trip with family so that wasn’t an option so I reached out to Tammy at Dappy Dayz & I couldn’t be anymore pleased! My girl had the best time ever and I enjoyed receiving pictures seeing how happy Dixie was! Definitely recommend and will use her in the future! Thanks again Tammy!

When we moved to Virginia Beach, we tried a couple of popular kennels in the area for our geriatric pup and our kitty, and we had issues at both. Then I found Tami, and I'm so grateful we did! Tami and her family take care of our pets like they're their own. Tami is great about sending photos and updates, and is so patient with our geriatric Corgi. I wouldn't feel safe leaving them with anyone else! Thank you Tami and T!

I was very nervous about sending my fur-babies to daycare especially since one is a pandemic pup and not fully social. When I dropped them off I felt so comfortable (I normally cry). Tammy explained how she would slowly introduce the other pups to mine so they won’t be overwhelmed. I’ve noticed so much improvement in my pandemic pup now that he is going to Dappy Days. Very patient and loving provider!

Tammy and Tee have been the absolute best this year. I moved here not knowing anyone and needed to quickly find somewhere I could trust to watch my dog, Hank. The first time I dropped him off he was nervous, but that was also the last time. Every time I dropped him off for a weekend he couldn’t wait to get out of the car to play, which made me feel really reassured that he was still happy and safe when I was away. Tammy and Tee were also always extremely accommodating to my schedule and flexible when I needed to change something last minute. They also sent me pictures of Hank every time I was away, which I loved and made me feel better. I am so grateful for their help and for treating Hank like their own. I wish I weren’t moving so I could keep going to them; Hank will definitely miss it there! I would undoubtedly recommend Dappy Dayz to anyone!

Tami and her family are incredibly wonderful caregivers. They make my dog feel like she is a part of their family. I loved the photo updates she sent to put my mind at ease during her first long-term stay with them (5 days). My dog also really enjoyed their doggie daycare! Tami really knows dogs and their behaviors - the dogs are watched and safe. My dog came home happy to see me, but equally comfortable in Dappy Dayz care. I feel so fortunate to have found such a great place for my dog to go for both long-term stays and daily doggie daycare.

Tammy and her family has taken such great care of my dog. I appreciate the schedule set up in place for the dogs, such as activities, nap time, lunch/dinner/snacks, and recess! The at-home environment is exceptional and has been a great place for my dog to receive care. He used to go to a kennel set up, but the setting was not an ideal place for him because there was no structure, the animals ran loose, and the staff were unprofessional and unskilled; basically setting my dog up for failure. Dappy Dogz is the total opposite! My family and I truly appreciate their dedication and attention in taking care of the pets. Thank you!! ☺️

We used Dappy Dayz on a regular for over night stays. Having a 24 hour shift, it’s hard to find someone reliable to watch your animals at a decent price. Having our paths cross a couple years ago, I was able to reach out to Tammy on a personal level to inquire of her up and coming business. Her and her family took our pup in with open arms, allowing him to socialize with other dogs, maintaining his feeding routine and sleep schedule. We actually felt guilty taking him home because he clearly was having a blast with his friends. She was flexible with our rotating schedule, accommodating for weekends and last minute day trips. We will forever sing their praises and we look forward to watching their business grow.

This was my first experience dropping my dog off to ruff house (va beach) for Labor Day weekend because we were going out of town. I picked this facility based on the great reviews. I didn’t tour the facility with my husband b/c front desk staff stated there was a certain time that we would have to come in and we had to work. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary upon dropping her off. We did elect for play time for one day which was an upcharge. We never received pictures or updates regarding my dog. However we called Saturday and was told everything was going well and that she’s wagging her tail. She seemed happy she just wasn’t eating a lot. On Sunday we picked her up and she was panting like she was hot or didn’t have water. She looked a sweaty mess. I thought let me take her home in bathe her she might be overly tired. She slept all day Monday like she was depressed. As an update I called to speak to the manager Tuesday. The manager never came to the phone only relaying messages to the front desk staff that Asa wasn’t outside Sunday and they’re not sure why she was sweaty and panting. She seemed fine on Saturday when she was playing. Also I asked about room temp in the kennel and they stated it was 72 degrees which is a little in the warm side in my opinion. I will not be bringing my dog back. Unprofessional that the manager didn’t want to listen to my concerns.

Thank you all so much for taking care of our boy Milo. I was nervous at first leaving him for the first time since we've had him but with the staff taking pics of him everyday (I made sure to check lol) gave me and my family a warm fuzzy that he was being taking care of. I like the little report afterwards thats lets me know how he did as well. I look forward to bring him back for a future doggy daycare session to get accustomed to other pups. Thanks again!

The atmosphere was incredibly friendly and inviting. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted Sadie with genuine warmth and care, making her feel right at home. Their attention to detail and personalized approach made the entire experience exceptional. It was clear they prioritize customer satisfaction and go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels comfortable and valued.

We boarded our two guinea pigs and we were so pleased with how clean their cage was when we picked them up. Their hay bag was full and there was food in their bowl so we know they were well taken care of. I also appreciated them being in a quiet area. We will definitely be back! We have boarded at another kennel previously and the difference is night and day. We highly recommend The Ruff House for your small animal boarding needs.

I was really worried about taking my dog to boarding/daycare for the first time but ruff house was nothing but helpful, accommodating, and kind. They were very quick & helpful when responding to all of my questions throughout the “onboarding process” & during my dogs stay! He tested into daycare and I’m so excited to see him grow and be properly socialized with other dogs in a controlled, safe environment. When I first received pictures of my dog playing with others, my heart melted. Thank you ruff house!!

It was my first time ever leaving my fur babies at a doggy boarding facility. The atmosphere is very clean. The staff is very nice and relaxed. They treated my babies really well and made sure that I knew they did well while I was gone. They’re very alert when it comes to their boarders and I love that. Will definitely be using them again in the future.

We had a wonderful grooming experience with Judy! Our pup came home happy, healthy and looking so handsome! We would highly recommend the Ruff House for their grooming services!!

Boarded our pup for the first time and we are so happy we picked Ruff House. The pictures taken during his stay shows how much he enjoyed it. They took such good care of him! We will definitely use them again for both boarding and grooming services.

I really wanted to love this place. I’ve taken my dog here twice. The first experience seemed great.. he was super tuckered out, and they took a ton of photos. Based on that, I decided to bring him back. This time, things were different. I didn’t really get much with the photos which I'm not too worried about, but he came home with an unusual amount of energy and INSANELY thirsty. He sprinted to his water bowl and i had to refill it twice.. which confused me. He’s not the kind of dog that requires constant stimulation to relax, so it felt odd. I had also requested a full groom for him, but when I picked him up, he didn’t smell fresh, which made me question if he even received a bath. At first, I let it go, but only a week later and he's showing signs that his anal glands are full. Now I’m wondering if I was charged for services that weren’t provided. To make matters worse, he has kennel cough. I don’t understand how dogs get sick in facilities that require updated vaccines. He’s never been sick before, and I feel awful for him.

I can't say enough good things about the Ruff House! They are AWESOME and always make sure my dog, Stella, is well taken care of. The staff is so attentive and loving, making Stella feel right at home. They even manage to give her baths, which is always a challenge at home. Although Stella misses us while we're gone, she has the best time at the Ruff House. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring boarding facility for their furry friends!

AMAZING!!! I needed a last minute sitter for my two French bulldogs and Gloria did not hesitate. Her prices are fair, care was great, she sent pictures and updates throughout the day, the only thing I had to provide was food. Her drop off and pick up hours are flexible. Would absolutely recommend.

We found this company during a time when we desperately needed care for our dogs. Our dogs are giant breeds (Great Dane and Newfoundland) and the male is not neutered. These two issues made it very difficult to find someone to care for them especially on short notice. HOWEVER, K9 and Feline Daycare Services happily accepted them and were very understanding especially with last minute requests. Our dogs were happy each day and most importantly tired. They learned new things and over came fears (like going up a ramp). They went on walks and new dogs. I can't say enough about them! I highly recommend them. If you aren't using them for your dog or cat daycare or walking needs, then I don't know what you are doing.

The best service. My family took a vacation from the 5th to the 9th. And I received pictures daily and he look so happy. My Dog was in such amazing care. He had other friends to play with so I had no concerns. He loved it. Definitely recommend this doggy daycare. Amazing service and very friendly. Pic attached he was in a paper super cute..

Highly recommend! They watched our great dane and 2 guinea pigs while we were out of town. Not only are they affordable, but they took EXCELLENT care of our animals while we were away. Super flexible with time and very accommodating. Will definitely be using them for pet sitting in the future! Thank you!!

Great service! They went above and beyond, playing with, feeding, and sending pictures of our cats while we were away. They even fed our axolotl! Friendly and great with the pets. Highly recommend!

My family and I spent a week in Florida and Beth watched my Luna girl. I don’t know what she did, but my dog was sad to be home with us. She lied around for 48 hours! Lol we will definitely be taking our girl back to Ms Beth.

Claudia is amazing! She has been so kind to work around my unpredictable work schedule for daycare and boarding when I'm out of town for work. My 1 year old corgi, Daisy, absolutely LOVES going to Claudia's and playing on her backyard toys! I always get photos and videos on how Daisy's days are going, which I love because then I know Daisy is happy and well cared for the entire time (see attached photos). Claudia has also been very helpful in improving Daisy's training and very open to implementing the techniques I use at home. Claudia is a blessing to Daisy and I! I would 100% recommend her to anyone else in the area looking for a place to board, or drop their doggies off for daycare.

Claudia is incredible! We couldn't be happier with our dog-sitting experience with her! From the moment she met our dog Murphy, it was clear she has a natural gift with pups. She immediately connected with him, which made him feel at ease right away. Every day of the three months she cared for Murphy, he came home exhausted from a full day of play, socializing, and receiving lots of love and attention. The obstacle course play/training and fetch were particular highlights. He really had a maxed out fun day every day there. Claudia was also incredibly accommodating with a few schedule adjustments that popped up, which made things so much easier for us. Murphy was in great hands—and it showed! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Claudia. We travel a lot and she is by far the best dog care pro we’ve come across. Thank you, Claudia, for giving us peace of mind and making sure Murphy had the best time while we were in Norfolk!

My dog loves going to Claudia’s, he wags his tail and pulls to get in her house every time! Claudia takes care of him as if he was one of her own. It’s comforting to know that my dog is in a loving home getting lots of attention, instead of sitting in a crate all day like most boarding places. Claudia also sends pictures and updates while your dog is there to put your mind even more at ease. I would never want to board my dog anywhere else!

Claudia is a true dog lover, kind person, and all around caring guardian of fur babies. I do not worry at all when I leave my dogs with her days or sometimes weeks. She sends me photos and frequent updates on how they’re doing. My dogs are lap dogs and love the attention from her kids. They walk right inside when I drop them off, like they’re happy to be there. Highly recommend her as a boarding option!

Claudia is amazing with our pup! When we drop her off, she doesn’t look back because she is so excited to spend time there!! Our dog has dietary restrictions and Claudia is ALWAYS able to accommodate!!! I get lots of updates but honestly I don’t have anything to worry about, my dog is in great hands!! I am so happy I came across her daycare! I will only use her for boarding our pup!

I cant recommend Claudia enough! She is incredibly flexible and you can tell that she really loves what she does. She communicates wonderfully and sends pictures while your pet is with her and I can tell that my pup had a great time during both stays. It’s a gift when you don’t have to worry about your pet while you’re gone and that is absolutely the case with Claudia!

Claudia loves, cares and engages with every dog as if they were her own. Our pup quivers with excitement when he sees Claudia’s house! We have nothing but praise for her skills and not a worry when he is with her.

We always take our dogs with us but feel so fortunate to have found Claudia to care for our 2 Dobermans and golden retriever. She’s beyond amazing - very experienced, conscientious, always keeping us up to date on how the dogs are doing. They just love her - get great exercise, playtime and are well taken care of. We would highly recommend her! She deserves 10++stars!!

I LOVE happy tails. I am a student at ODU (1 min away) and I take my dog here for half-day daycare. It is so nice to know that he is being taken care of and having fun while I’m at school. It’s super affordable with the package options. The staff is so kind, and it did not take them long to recognize and remember both me and my dog. 10/10 recommend!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Happy Tails Resort Dog Daycare! My Boston Terrier, Lucky, absolutely loves her time there, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their exceptional care and service. From the moment we walk through the doors, it’s clear how much the staff truly love and care for each dog. Lucky’s tail starts wagging the moment we pull into the parking lot, which tells me she feels completely safe and happy in their hands. My mix breed dog, Lulu, has been going to Happy Tails since February 2023. They had been recommended by a few local Norfolk friends with dogs. So as soon as she had all her shots she went for her free day evaluation (love they do that.) She’s been going there at least once a week since and I board her there when I take trips I can’t bring her on. Not only does this place post daily photos of the dogs on their social media so you get to see your dog, but the staff there knows my dog and she loves going there. She always comes home happy. Taking her there has ensured she’s socialized with other dogs and enables me to get her energy managed as a puppy because it seems I can’t walk her enough. The staff is very nice and the pricing is reasonable. I’m currently considering a monthly package.

My dog, absolutely adores this place, especially the pool! The staff are caring, attentive, and ensure all dogs are safe and having fun. Highly recommend for any dog parent looking for a splash of fun and excellent care!

My dog Lucky loves to go to Happy Tails Resort. They are very convenient as I buy packages for 10 visits at a time and bring him whenever I want. The staff is very friendly and love dogs so I know he is in good hands. He plays with other dogs and comes home happy. He wags his tail whenever I ask him if he wants to go to Happy Tails Resort. I highly recommend them.

Happy Tails has been my dogs' home away from home ever since I first took Langley there 7 years ago. They are truly family - mourning his loss with us and everything. Now my goofy doodles Mika Moo and Betty Blue always have a place to go for the day if I'm going to be busy or for a vacation while we are out of town. I always look forward to their near daily pictures of the dogs having fun and enjoy spotting our girls having fun!

Enzo (our golden retriever) has been going to daycare for 4 years now at Happy Tails. He also gets boarded there frequently. We LOVE Happy Tails! Staff is super friendly and you can tell they love the dogs. Enzo really loves the pool, too.

I really really love this doggy day care center. The prices are so amazing and I love that they have an outside and inside access for the dogs to roam around. They also have a pool that they will open for the dogs which I couldn't find a lot of places that had that. My dog gets so excited to come here whenever we do come. The staff is super accommodating and they even helped me out when I was in a bind that last minute and needed a place for him to go for one night. I also love their wide variety of options for pickup and drop off. Super nice that they offer that flexibility.

Happy Tails certainly lives up to its name! The staff are always friendly and greet the pups by name at drop off, they treat them as their own and even remember their little quirks. Forrest shows up AND leaves with a “happy tail” wagging 100 miles per hour! Couldn’t recommend them more to watch after your fur kids!

Happy tails is the best! Let me start off by saying it’s hard to find people to trust with your fur babies to treat them like their own. Our boy quickly fell in love with everyone there and runs in every time he gets there. Everyone is always so kind and helpful and we feel safe knowing he is in good hands. Happy tails has become like a second family to us!

We have been taking our dog to the Ruff House for over a year now. They treat her just like we would, and have really helped with her socialization and training. She loves the daycare, and we also regularly use their grooming services. They are truly wonderful, I recommend them to everyone!

We love The Ruff House in Greenbrier. The employees are happy and excited when you drop off and very efficient when you pick up. We tried another daycare near Great Neck in VA Beach (near my office) and had problems with our pup being bit. They blamed him saying he wasn’t reading social cues from the other dog. He did his temperament test at The Ruff House and they said while he did get amped up once (he’s a year and a half old), he was very good at social cues. He hasn’t had any issues. I believe they have more supervision and interaction with the staff. We have been so happy that our boy can get to play with his friends! He is tuckered out after a day of play! (He’s the yellow lab)

The Ruff House has been amazing! My Leti girl gets so excited when it's time to go in for daycare or boarding. I can trust them to treat my puppy with love and care. The report cards and pictures are a plus as a first time dog owner. Thank you Ruff House staff!

Staff is super friendly - never had any issues with booking, communication, or follow-up questions. I love getting pics of my puppers playing with other dogs her age during boarding. They always take care to keep her with the other grey-faced older dogs, knowing puppies are just too energetic for her. I always feel secure knowing my dog is being cared for while I’m away.

We take our dog there regularly for enrichment, daycare, and boarding. He always comes home so happy. The people there are wonderful and deeply love all the animals in their care. I can’t recommend them enough.

We are so thankful for and love The Ruff House Stay & Play at Greenbrier!! I just moved to Virginia and wanted to find a safe enriching day care for our dog. The Ruff House (Chesapeake) is amazing. Our puppy Pompeii has a great time there and comes home tired and happy. They feed him and make sure he’s an environment for his temperament. When I drop him off he goes with the handler no hesitation! They post pictures of your pet to your profile and cute report cards. Reasonable pricing too! I love this daycare and so does Pompeii

I have nothing but good things to say and would recommend their services to anyone. My dogs (and even my cat) love it here, and I never worry for a second when I leave them in their care. You can tell everyone is very passionate about caring for the animals, and the business is run efficiently and professionally.

My two babydogs, Rocky & Hazel, absolutely love it here when they are boarded. The care is top-tier which I appreciate as a loving & highly protective dogmom. My pups mean the world to me and I have so much peace of mind knowing they’re in great hands while I’m away. I also greatly appreciate the photos seeing them at play with other dog friends. My 13-month-old golden retriever recently began attending daycare, and I have noticed that he is quite fatigued when I pick him up. However, I am pleased to see that he is actively socializing and developing his confidence. The staff at the daycare has been exceptional; they are highly professional and demonstrate a deep understanding of how to handle and care for each of their clients.
