We are so lucky to of had Harry and Susan come and sit for us. It is such a relief being able to go away and not worry. We received pictures while we were away and the dogs were having a fab time and receiving lots of attention. It was lovely coming home, walking through the door and giving a big sigh of relief at how clean our home was left. They respected both us and the dogs and we couldn’t fault anything from the sit. I knew I wanted Florence and her family to sit for us the moment we spoke! The dogs had a great time and did some long walks around Skipton and had plenty of cuddles on the sofa. We were sent photos which is always lovely to see. Liaising with Florence was easy and straightforward from start to finish. Sadly we didn’t get to meet due to timings but I trusted her enough to leave a key and instructions and we were on hand via WhatsApp. I would happily have Florence and her family sit for us again.

Courtney and Chris were fabulous with our pets, and there were a few!! 2 dogs, 3 cats and 4 ducks. They coped so well, took the dogs lovely walks and lots of cuddles, and play time. Attended to my spoilt ducks and cats!! They looked after the house, left it clean and tidy and even baked us a banana loaf for our return, how welcoming was that😇Anyone lucky enough to have these guys watch their precious pets will know they can relax and enjoy a break away. Valerie and Brian are a lovely couple who came to look after our home and pets in a cold wet January. They were calm and friendly and the animals got on very well with them as soon as they met them. The house was left in a very clean and tidy state and Brian even fixed a dripping tap ! The plants had been watered and everyone seemed happy. Our oldest dog had a funny turn and Brian took her to the vets , contacted us and kept us fully informed about her recovery. We would be very happy for them to come again. Excellent house sitters.

Zoe looked after our cat during our two week trip away. This was the first time we’d used zeewoi and we were rather nervous leaving Ninja with a stranger. We needn’t have worried. Zoe was amazing. She came down the night before our trip to meet Ninja and he was more than happy in her company. We came home to a happy and contented cat. The house was clean and tidy and had been well looked after. Only one issue when we were away with wifi and Zoe managed to sort this out herself. Zoe was friendly and genuinely looking forward to staying in the area and looking after Ninja. We were very lucky to have her as our first sit. honeybee was a great sitter for our 3 animals. She communicated very well throughout the sit. Our flight home was delayed and she was great about being able to cover the extra days. Her connection to the animals was wonderful. We were less organized than intended on her arrival due to some unexpected work issues, and she was great about rolling with the changes (e.g. the closet doors were missing as the painter hadn't finished with them). She used public transport to get to Golden and then drove our car while here. She left a few items behind, and her attention to kitchen cleanliness could be better, but we would definitely have her sit our pets again if the opportunity arises.

Abi and David were FABULOUS pet sitters during our 5-day trip. They were devoted and fun dog walkers, park-goers and ball throwers. They communicated well and sent pictures. And when we got home, the house looked great, and the dogs looked calm. We would gladly have them. Sit for us again and highly recommend them.

Caitlyn, KJ, and their pup Sully were excellent house guests and pet sitters, and we would highly recommend them! I was able to meet Caitlyn and KJ prior to them house sitting for us, and we are always super appreciative when sitters are able to make that work and are willing to take time out of their schedule to come over and get the lay of the land. Their dog Sully was full of good boy energy and was a great playmate for our two Golden Retrievers. During the stay, Caitlyn & KJ sent us photos every day and followed all of our instructions for pet care to a T. They were super self-sufficient and gracious guests that left our place looking just like it did when we left, and we were very at peace knowing that our dogs were in great hands, getting lots of exercise, and romping around with new friend Sully. Jerry and Suzanne were absolutely ideal sitters for our home and pets. We spoke with them ahead of their visit and could tell that they are genuine pet and travel lovers. Over their stay we got to see even more that they are wonderfully friendly, kind, and responsible - plus they kept us laughing with their updates and descriptions of our pets' antics while we were away. Our pets and plants were well loved and our house was spotless upon our return home, and they were even kind enough to leave a few goodies in the fridge. Shona...how can we thank you! We couldn't have picked a better person to drive our two beloved Pugs from Aberden to London Heathrow for their big journey back to our home in Doha, Qatar. Shona was very organised, timely, personable and kept me updated and at ease during their entire journey. She sent me lovely vidoes and photos. I never worried when they were in her care as I knew at heart she is a true animal lover and could tell she genuinely cared for our dogs. Our dog stayed with Shona for 18 days this summer and it was nice to see her looking healthy and calm on collection. We left our dog with Shona before for various periods of time. I have used kennel in the past and my dog never came out of it looking happy. This has definitely changed since I found Shona - he is happy to leave me and always comes back home cheerful and in a great shape. Shona is great with dogs, she takes them for a long river/forest walks and let them play in her garden once they are home. I recommend this service from the bottom of my hearth to all dog owners

Genuinely a five star service: We are absolutely thrilled with the service we receive from Shona at Aberdeen Pet Services, from the very first visit, I had a really good sense of how calming she would be for our highly strung but loving cavapoo. Before we met Shona I was extremely concerned about leaving Hamish with anyone, he is a nervous dog and enjoys being part of a family and being cuddled, we couldn’t even consider kennels for him and by luck we found the perfect solution. Reliable, friendly and extremely flexible, we wouldn’t consider anyone else. Hamish always comes home, happy and healthy, well exercised and well fed, what more could a dog need 😊

1st time Angus has been in Kennels not only has he come home quite relaxed but he surprisingly doesn't have the typical kennel Smell our dogs have had in the past from other Kennels.. amazing.. Each dogs individual kennel and run is extremely clean and spacious and very quiet which was good for angus as hes not to great with lots of noise. By the sounds and looks of him Angus has been extremely well looked after.. so i have no problems with taking him back there again...

If I could give this place minus score I would. Apart from one member of staff - a lovely lady with fantastic pink hair who was kind and gentle. The reception my dog got was shocking. She is a rescue dog who has had a stressful first 7mths of her life before I got her and has never been in kennels ( which was explained when I visited the place) so was naturally nervous. But I felt the owners didn't take this in to consideration and wouldn't allow her to sniff or look around the surrounds because they had a routine to keep and other dogs were arriving in the outside area. They appeared to just want her out of the way regardless of whether she was happy or not. Admittedly we were late arriving due to my work ( this seemed okay when I mentioned it on the pre visit that I maybe couldn't be there on time.) I however did send a message prior to leaving home to let them know we were on our way. I am sure they have lots of happy doggy customers but Bankhead is not somewhere I would recommend.
My 2 dogs have been going to Bankhead kennels for the past couple of years, I find staff very friendly and helpful and the most important thing of all my two are happy there and are well looked after.....if anybody is looking for kennels for your dog/dogs I would highly recommend them 😀 …

I was at The Boarding Kennels recently, dropping a client's dog off and I was lucky enough to see inside of the kennels and some of the space they have to let the dogs run around and have fun in; the conditions were good although there were a lot of dogs all very close together (with the barking that goes along with it) so if you have a dog of a nervous disposition then perhaps The Boarding Kennels isn't the right place. The staff were nice and the prices seem fair so all in all a very decent place for your (boisterous) hound.

I was supposed to leave my dog for two weeks with them in May but because of this pandemic my holidays have been cancelled so I enquire what’s happening with the deposit I paid if it’s possible to transfer it because it’s a global issue and most people are able to get vouchers or transfer things but from this place I was told that deposit is non returnable and non transferable and that they are helping out NHS staff and they can’t help me. Well sorry but please stop using NHS staff as an excuse because I work for NHS myself and I am absolutely discussed with your attitude towards me and your communication. I will never put my dog into your care and I will never recommend anyone else to do that.
Rosie the Cockerpoo spent a week here end of April into May. I was really impressed by the care given by the team here, Rosie returned to us a happy healthy dog. We, will definately use the Kennels again.

Just picked our greyhound Paddy. He has been very well looked after at the kennels, so chuffed with this place and we will definitely be using again.
We had our little girl here for 10 days and she has come back a bit of a different dog, not herself, nippy so not sure I would make use of them again.

Our dog has been to a couple of other kennels but this is by far the best in the north east. He gets treated really well and comes home relaxed and clean after a lovely stay with excellent facilities and brilliant friendly staff. Already booked him in for his next holiday.
Can't recommend Glenugie enough. I have a very nervous, Spanish rescue dog and I was so apprehensive of her going into kennels. I shouldn't have worried, she has come home unstressed and her usual self. I called daily and everyone was so lovely and accommodating with all my questions about how she was getting on. Her bedding, jumper and toys were washed too, so everything smells lovely! Norah stayed in 'the village' which is described as the more basic package, but it was fab. Great sized outdoor area, raised bed and heat lamp to keep her cosy. Have already booked our next stay.

We’ve left our pup at Glenugie twice now and we’ve never been more at ease about leaving her. Rhodella Is amazing and has so much time for us when dropping off and picking up. We wouldn’t leave Harper with anyone else, highly recommend anyone looking for a safe and quality place to look after their pup. Harper will be back to visit soon.

Left our two Springadors for 2 weeks, had to call the kennel and ask if they could stay an extra night due to a flight delay. They were so helpful and when we picked up the dogs they had been groomed and looked fabulous!! They were pleased to see us but we could tell they had enjoyed their stay. Excellent facilities, brilliant staff and we will definitely use Glenugie Kennels again, and would recommend them to anyone.
Well this was my first experience using Kennels for my two pampered Cocker Spaniels and I couldn’t have asked for better. The whole experience was fantastic, the kennels are so clean and the dogs are just so well looked after. They had had a bath and blow dry before we collected them and have just been no bother on returning home. Would highly recommend Glenugie Kennels. We've just collected our two menaces from a 4 night stay at Glenugie Kennels and I am absolutely delighted with how they've gotten on, usually we pick them up from other kennels and they are dull coated and look miserable and usually very sleepy but they are so happy and clean. Absolutely recommended Glenugie 1000%. We've found our new doggy holidays for sure.
Fantastic kennels! Can tell the owners put in 100% with the animals. Our Collie was nervous on drop off but they worked with him and created a great bond. On collection he came out newly bathed and smelling lovely. Also a treat goodie bag. Will be returning again. Highly recommend!
