Providing Pet Sitting in the Gandertown, Kentucky
Safety and love for your home and pets
Melissa was quite simply BEYOND💙. She took care of several contractors that had to be sent to the house while I was gone. She cleaned all the linens and the house although all I said was to strip her bed, and she kept me updated on how my cat was adjusting. I trust her implicitly after all she’s done for me and will gladly welcome her back anytime without all the contractors!!! She’s awesome!

Trustworthy world traveler that's taking each day as it comes.
Grellan was one of the best house sitters we have ever had. He sent us photos daily and we could really tell our pups had a great time and were well taken care of. We would highly recommend Grellan to anyone needing a house sitter.

Lucy, Latisa, Grace and Katrina were phenomenal house and pet sitters. I cannot say enough great things about them. First and foremost they took great care of our pets. I received regular updates which always makes a pet owner happy. Our house was treated like their own. They left the house with clean sheets on all the beds which was so appreciated and the house was very clean. It is always great to come home without having to do laundry. They even left us a wonderful thank you card with a special treat. They are welcome back anytime. I can tell they are genuinely nice and caring people.

We came back home after almost 3 weeks of vacation to a spotless house and two happy, healthy dogs. Can't ask for more than that!

We felt comfortable leaving our "kids" with Kajen and Nathan. They kept us updated with photos and reports. The house was nice and tidy when we returned. Would invite them again.

I will treat your home and your pets as my own!
Amy and Kory were amazing. Dogs were fed and given medications as needed. Walked every morning before they explored the city. Our home was spotless when we got home and sheets were washed. Any time Amy and Kory find themselves in Denver, they have a place to stay!

Passionate and dedicated sitter - thrilled to meet you and your pets soon!
Stacie did a great job sitting for our four cats. She showed up exactly when she said she would; communicated regularly during her stay; kept all of our plants alive; and left a clean house for us to come home to. The boys seemed calm and well-adjusted when we got home, which indicated to us that they had had a pleasant experience. We were overseas for three weeks, and Stacie made us feel comfortable leaving our babies behind! Thank you, Stacie!

Melissa and Greg
Melissa cared for my two mini-Dachshunds for the first half of a two-week sit. After the face-to-face orientation, I was out of cell phone range for two weeks. Without any participation from me, Melissa coordinated the hand-off with her successor and it took place without a hitch. Melissa cared for my girls with as much (or more?) affection as I give them. The dogs and I would be happy for Melissa to babysit again in the future!

Mary was fantastic from start to finish and looked after our elderly dog with love and attention to her needs. She also looked after our home with respect and care. We couldn't have asked for a nicer sitter and would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.
Mary Jessica was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our GIANT dog Mamma Mia. She took extremely good care of our house with it cleaner than we left it upon our return. Our neighbors remarked on all the walks she gave Mamma and Mamma seemed very pleased with the entire experience. Mary Jessica was self sufficient, needing very little instruction outside of our Welcome Guide. She followed everything I wrote and asked how much communication I’d want. I’m very pleased and would both recommend her and love to have her again.
Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. We would absolutely recommend them as responsible and thoughtful pet sitters who can be entrusted with the care of your home and pets.
Linda was an awesome pet sitter for my doggie Brodie! She gave him so much loving attention… he has some separation anxiety at 9 years old & she never left his side! She was so attentive to him & I am very grateful for that! Linda’s communication was also something I liked… we texted & chatted on the phone before her arrival & I felt very comfortable with her being in my home & with my dog. I could tell her number one reason to pet sit was her love for dogs & desire to be a wonderful companion for Brodie while I was away for the weekend! Would love to have her back anytime…
Melanie and Steve were excellent house & pet sitters. They sent me so many pictures of my 3 cats without me even asking and it made me so happy to see them enjoying their company. I'd say out of all the house sitters I've had, they spent the most time with my cats which means a lot to me. They are kind, easy to connect with and I'd welcome them back anytime. As far as caring for my house - top notch.
Angie and her husband Joe were a great fit for our house and pet sitting needs! They kept in communication with us before our vacation started, and were able to arrive a little early so we could walk them through how various systems worked and where controls were located. Our dog bonded with Angie very quickly and I think he was hoping she would stay after we returned home :) We got regular updates and pet photos while we were traveling. Although we were out of cell phone range for several days, we never had a doubt that things at home would be just fine while they were there! They were also very flexible and understanding. Due to our flight schedule we arrived home in the middle of the night. Angie was able to feed and walk our dog, clean up and leave in the morning without waking us up! The house was left clean, the garden was thriving and our pup was happy. We are happy, and would be happy to have them back again as sitters anytime.
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Jennifer was great and I would highly recommend her. Right from the start, Jennifer was clear and helpful in her communication, and she was very available to us throughout the stay via messaging. She sent pics of our fur babies regularly - without asking - which always makes us happy when we're away. And the biggest compliment I can give: when we came home, our pets were relaxed and happy, and no hidden cat messes to be found (we've had this happen with previous sitters a lot). I would love to have Jennifer stay at our home again in future.
Thomas did an amazing job! We were very pleased with how well he was able to care for our 3 active Boston terriers. He was able to handle all 3 on a walk and feed them their special meal everyday. He even ventured out and took them to the beach which is no easy task for 3 excited dogs. Thomas did a great job communicating before and during the stay. We came home to a clean house with bedding washed. We had a handful of other pet sitters through this website and Thomas easily rates at the top of our list. Thank you for taking great care for the dogs and the house.
What an amazing couple we had as pet sitters for our two dogs! You can truly feel their love for animals. Nancy sent pictures a couple of times letting us know that they were having fun also with our Cody and Carson! Our home was perfect when we got home. They even left a beautiful potted flower and card on our island in our kitchen. We highly recommend this couple! Jim & Wanda

We could not be more grateful to the staff here for taking care of our fur babies. The girls always have a blast, and they’ve been very accommodating when we have had emergencies come up. The dogs get to go out way more often than most places, and we love the individual playtime they get in the separate yards. The staff have been great following our feeding notes, to avoid any allergy issues. I love the pictures I get each day from their daycare, showing the fun they are having. They are always tuckered out when they get home. So so so appreciative to the kind staff here!
Great for our elderly beagle. We look forward to getting his pictures daily when he's boarded here. It's nice to enjoy our vacation knowing our doggo is well looked after and getting his medication while we're gone. Definitely recommend their boarding and daycare.
We recently had to board our German Shepherd while on vacation in Bardstown. The staff at critter cradle are highly professional, and very caring. We received pictures of girl time to time, usually eating or playing with her ball. Thank you to all the staff of CC.
We moved to the area but needed to drop our two pups off a month prior. Amber had great reviews so opted for the off-leash training. It was tough being without our pups for a month, BUT... well worth it! Amber and her staff did an amazing job for the month they were there. They both now have a great foundation for commands and respond great. We received several photos everyday along with a few progression videos. They were very accommodating for diets and individual habits. Maddi is a newer trainer and also did a great job with training our pups. We will be dropping our pups off for any future time away. I highly recommend The Critter Cradle.
The Critter Cradle is amazing.. it's the only place we take all 4 ( yes we have four dog's!) When we travel and we travel quite a bit during the year! You can tell they honestly love their jobs and my pet's are always excited when we drop them off. The staff is loving and caring. What I love most is they send you pictures about twice a day of your fur babies to let you know their doing well .. I can go on and on about how wonderful they are! I have posted a few pictures they sent us while we were on a recent trip
Cheap prices for caring and taking care of our 2 pups while we went to Heaven Hill, who do not allow dogs unfortunately. Highly recommend them for day care.
Staff sent me photos of my "baby" so I didn't even worry ❤️
This is an awesome family run pet daycare. They give a paper per day detailing what the pets day consisted of along with texting pictures of the pet while in their care. They also offer grooming and level one obedience classes.
I am only giving 2 stars because my dog seemed to like the groomers (when they were available) and they did a pretty decent job when they were there. However - The groomers are HORRIBLE communicators and very unprofessional. We have tried two groomers now. The first one was wonderful with our nervous dog so we were happy. Then, she started taking at least a month to respond & get back with us. I tried calling to book an appointment with her but the front desk always wanted me to reach out myself directly to the groomer, but I never got responses which was frustrating. Also - this groomer would just leave at our scheduled appointment time sometimes to pick up her children when my dog should’ve been getting his grooming and we would have to wait. (Very unprofessional) The second groomer we tried responds immediately and books appointments which we thought was great. However, we have now shown up TWICE on time to our appointment and our groomer is not there and won’t answer her phone calls. We waited on her 30 minutes after our appointment time the first time, the second time she didn’t answer her phone and never showed up so we left and never got an apology for the inconvenience or anything. Not acceptable to happen two times in a row. We have now found a better organized groomer and will not be back.
Always very friendly and have taken our dogs there for the last 3 years multiple times a year. Your dog is taken outside 5-6 times a day to run around in the fenced area. They send you pics of your dog twice a day and their prices are very much in line for the area.
My puppy has separation anxiety, so I started looking around for doggy daycare options while I’m at work. I found Raven’s service online and saw the good reviews/how close it was in proximity to my home. They have been extremely communicative and professional throughout the entire process. I get a “report card” at the end of my pup’s stay - complete with beautiful photos that make me feel like I was still a little part of his day. Not only does he get to socialize with other pets, he gets to expend all his puppy energy - which means he’s tuckered out and ready for sleep at the end of the day. Naturally I was worried to leave my puppy with other people, especially during a pandemic, but Raven’s K9to5 has alleviated that anxiety completely. They truly seem to care about my pup. Raven and her husband have exceeded my expectations and I am very satisfied with the care my puppy is receiving/has received thus far!
I am so glad I found Raven and her husband! I have never felt so confident about someone else taking care of my doggo. Bella Rose has so much fun when she goes to stay with Raven. When we go on vacation she goes to doggy camp! She always has friends to play with and they do play! She is always so worn out when she comes home. And I love the pictures that I get every day. And the report card usually cracks me up. I was really late picking up Bella and they just rolled with it. Traveling is unpredictable sometimes. Thank you Raven for all the times you’ve watched Belle! We only use Raven now!
So thankful for Raven! She was able to help me on short notice and was super sweet and helpful! She was very patient with my shy and grumpy rabbit, and dropped by my hotel twice a day to make sure she had everything she needed. I was extremely anxious about leaving my rabbit alone, but Raven sent me pictures of her when she could, and I felt so much more comfortable about leaving. Very thankful to have found her and will absolutely be using her again when I go out of town!
I went to Florida for 5 days and used Ravens K9 to 5 to board my yorkie. This was the first time I have ever had to board my baby and I was so weiry about leaving him with just anybody. We are new to the area and really dont know anyone yet. I looked into the "pet suite" facilities that offer boarding and they keep the dogs in a kennel and all the dogs are left over night by themselves. When I found Ravens K9 and seen that the dogs were house board, I felt my dog would be alot happier there. After dropping him off I was so sad and couldn't even enjoy my vacation due to being worried about him. Raven made sure to ease my mind and send me pics and videos showing me that my baby was happy and enjoying himself. This made it much easier being away from him. I will use Ravens K9 to 5 every time I need a babysitter. He is now home safe and sound and I couldn't be happier!! Thanks Raven
After multiple pet sitters backed out we contacted Raven in the middle of a busy holiday planning season. Thankfully she was able to fit in our crew of 4 dogs and 1 cat. She stayed the nights at our house and did multiple daily check ins with them. Her communication was fantastic and we loved getting daily photos. Our house was left clean so you could tell she treated it as her own. The animals all enjoyed her company despite having a few naughty moments! We hope to use her again for any future vacations.
I had a wonderful experience with Raven caring for our pets while we were away. This was my 1st time ever hiring a company for pet services. Raven did a wonderful job of answering all of my questions before she even began services, and kept us updated every step of the way...including pictures of my babies being cared for so superbly!! I HIGHLY recommend this company for anyone in need of a responsible and informative caregiver for your pets. I could not have asked for anything better, and will definitely use her services if the need ever came about in the future!
This was our first time using Raven's services for home visits for our 7+ year old cat Lola. Everything about our experience was wonderful. Raven and her husband were both friendly and knowledgable during their introductory meeting in our home. Lola warmed up to Raven very quickly. We were concerned in that we adopted Lola through Wisconsin Purebred Cat Rescue last Summer and she had never been without us overnight before. Her previous owners left her for sometimes weeks at a time. Raven let us know about her arrival and gave us thorough updates after each visit (including wonderful pictures). We highly recommend Raven's K9 to 5 Pet Services and will certainly use her services again when we are going to be away on overnight trips. Lola seemed to bond with Raven very quickly. Thanks Raven!
We used Raven's while out of town on vacation and found it to be a great place for our pup. Our dog, a Great Dane named Willow, had a blast there and literally played until she could play no more! The daily reports were very helpful and the daily photos that were included in the reports were an added bonus. Communication was quick and easy, and not to mention, Willow had a blast. Definitely will use Raven's again when the time comes!
We have used Raven's K9 to 5 Pet Services for the past 3 years each time we've gone away. Raven does her best to accommodate our travel schedules, and, more importantly, has treated our dogs like family -with care and attention. As our dogs have gotten older, their needs have changed. Raven is always attentive to what is required for their comfort and contentment. 😊
Raven provided excellent care for our two senior cats in our home for a few days. On each visit, we received notification when she was arriving, followed up with lots of photos of the cats and a report card of how they were doing. Her care of litter boxes, feedings, and other details was meticulous. Communication is awesome and she responds to questions immediately. I highly recommend her for excellent care of your pets!
Miss Tonja & Miss Tinik accommodated my two babies at the last minute cause this mama was stressing where they would go. Nala and Nubby love them so much and we are definitely be using them again. Thank you ladies and blessings upon you both
We recently boarded our babies at Bam’s and were extremely satisfied with the care they received! We got pics and videos so we could see how well they were being cared for. Both dogs were bathed and groomed when we picked them up. I will definitely be telling everyone about the great experience we had with them and would highly recommend Bam’s for boarding and grooming!
My sweet boy went and spent a weekend with BAM and had a great time! I received pictures and videos of him enjoying the yard. He was truly loved and cared for by these two women. I will definitely be bringing him back!
Omg. The ladies at bams will take great care of your pup! Photos and video each day while you're gone. I will definitely be coming here for any further grooming and doggy day care i may need.
I really appreciate the care the owners of Bam's Pet Boarding provided for my dog recently. It was the first time my corso had been away from me and due to the excellent care provided, she had no issues and enjoyed the other dogs. I will definitely be back in the near future with both of my dogs. Highly recommend Bam's for your dog boarding needs.
Highly recommend BAM's Pet Boarding. My dog Luna was spoiled and treated with so much love and care while I was away. I love how I was sent videos and pictures every day. Everyone at BAM's are such lovely and friendly people and I trust them with my animals any time. If anyone needs Pet Boarding BAM's is the place to go and I promise you won't regret it. Your fur babies will be returned to you even though they won't want to leave.
Tonja and her team were so friendly when we came to drop the pups off! I love the communication and videos she sent while the pups were staying with her! Saved her info for future stays. Thank you Tonja!
My Bella has been coming here for the past few months and she will NOT be going any where else!! Bella is so loved and so spoiled by them and she acts like she doesn’t belong to me whenever they’re around, lol. They are very professional and very understanding! I love the peace of mind that they give us by sending pictures and even offering to FaceTime us while we are gone. Most places leave our babies caged up for hours at a time, but Bella and the other babies are always out running around and playing with one another. We were coming back late one night and they had an emergency come up and took our baby with them on a 3 day trip with no extra cost to us. She had a ball, lol. They also offer grooming services as well and I was impressed. I’ve only met one other groomer that can get Bella together. Bella is a teacup Yorkie and she always makes friends with all of the other dogs they have there so no matter how big or small your fur baby is I can assure you that they will be safe and loved! Disclaimer: They may not want to come home!
My daughter have to bord her dog until she moved. They were so great with her. I recommend if you have to bord your that a place to go. They even do grooming and they have doggie daycare.
This was our first time at Bam's Pet Boarding and we had a wonderful experience. My dog Lucy hadn't been groomed in several months and needed it badly. Tonja did an excellent job grooming her and took care of her like one of her own. Lucy enjoyed playing with the other dogs very much. We definitely will be back!! I couldn't recommend them more for your grooming and boarding needs. :)
They didnt do as,I,ask to cut my Sheltie. I wanted a Sheltie cut. He comes out shaved. Thats the 2nd time this, has happened. Plus they cut his, side pretty good with clippers. I have pics. They, are reasonable and friendly. Hes been going there awhile. But i dont like his hair cut short. It takes forever to grow back. I shouldnt have paid for it, but i did. Time to find a,new groomer i guess. PM
Charli does great work! I couldn't find anyone that is so caring and gentle with our babies!
Charlie ROCKS!....Best groomer in Bardstown KY
Great staff and prices nice
Does good work.
Absolutely exceptional long term boarding care! I dropped my late father’s dog off a tubby, grumpy itchy old man, and got to visit a bubbly, much more energetic and happier dog! They’ve gone above and beyond in making sure he’s happy and healthy, and I couldn’t be happier knowing he’s in the best hands at a beautiful facility!
I have two dogs that I boarded. One is special needs and wears diapers and the other one is very shy. They treated our babies WONDERFULLY! Both were happy and very clean. We had a 5 day reservation and came back a day early. I fully expected to pay for all the days, but they gave us back a days fee! Very reputable business!! Wonderful and compassionate staff! Highly recommend this kennel!
This boarding kennel is top notch! The staff is friendly, well-versed and knowledgeable in handling my dogs at day care. What a smart plan to let staff get to know them prior to boarding with a day care appointment! This introduced my dogs to the facility and staff ahead of time to help ease their transition to their upcoming 10 day stay. Karen Tuell
Very nice and professional! We had our two toy poodles boarded and groomed here while away for work. Tessa (groomer) was very nice and willing to work with my dogs who have a lot of anxiety about getting groomed due to a bad experience at Petco. She was very understanding of this and wants to work with them to give them a more positive experience with being groomed.
Sharon is one of the best trainers around! I've gone through training here and boarded my dogs and never had any problems. She has a deep love and passion for animals and I highly recommend her!
We've been using them for years they are one of the best places you could ever use
We have a 8 month dalmatian and we use the kennel for when we are on vacation and just once a week for doggie daycare to let her play and run energy off. She loves it there and all the girls enjoy her company. We highly recommend them. Super sweet staff!! Thanks!
They are great with our dogs( Boxer, and Aussie). Both are older and cranky. They are allowed to be in same kennel. They have Sunday afternoon pickups.
I got the jingeler Good boy
We have used them several times to board our Husky. He loves it there. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean. I can imagine taking him anywhere else. I would highly recommend!
I've been boarding with playful paws for about a year now. Absolutely the single best boarders I've ever worked with, and I'v had dogs for about 15 years. They treat your pets like family and are some of the kindest people in the business. Their prices are fair, they communicate well, and overall they make boarding your pet very simple and stress free. The team there is absolutely fantastic and I can't recommend them highly enough!
Wonderful place with great employees! I had to board my boy Nelson for a few days. I was so relieved to find this place. Nelson had lots of fun playing with the other dogs. He'll be back for a day of play very soon! Thanks to all of you for taking care of my baby!!!
****ALERT, your dog might have too much fun :)**** We left the Scooter dog over the weekend and when we picked him up it seemed he wasn't too excited to come home with us. I think he must have had too much fun and the Playful Paws Peeps took super good care of him. Thanks guys for having a safe and enjoyable environment for our pup.
Always so nice and attentive to my dog.
I’m giving this place one star because i felt played out of my money. I had my dog stay for boarding which wasn’t bad. For the price and condition of the facility it was fare pricing but I’m more so annoyed that they allow ppl to offer dog training thats not worth it. My pup was there for three weeks and she came back not knowing anything i was told she would learn or had learn. This ain’t my first dog so its fairly easy to tell when your dog hasn’t picked up on something. I mean as simple as sit or stay wasn’t achieved. I think the training that is advertised should be looked at because your taking money and not producing anything from it.
Very friendly and professional. Seems like dogs were well taken care of
This place is great. Have had my Black Shepard there several times and he has been well taken care of each time. I had an emergency and needed to board Vader and they were ready to take him in right away. I’ve always had peace of mind that he was well taken care of there. Great friendly staff and they seem to treat my dog as well as I do. Thanks staff job well done so far👍🏾.
In my honest opinion, this place isn't the same anymore since going under new management. I had to immediately remove my dog due to being overpriced w/o being given an itemized receipt to better understand the charges for boarding & etc charges(which should happen automatically). Then, my dog wasn't bathed..he was just sent out very wet & shaggy w/his underbody bone dry. A simple re-scheduling would've sufficed for his bath instead of just an apology and thats it. Took talking to the new owner to attempt to get anything done! I had to go through too many hoops to get something somewhat addressed. Management on site should've been able to better assist then what they actually did. I felt brushed off and cheated out of my money!!
I went to view the facility to possibly have them board my dog. A lil pricey yet just like daycare, so much to do for a dog at least. They had have many add ons to the dog stay to feel better being left while mom dad are away. Nice staff.
We are excited that there is a new owner. Improvements already made. Our dogs will be boarded soon and they always have a great time!!
Chopper 🐶 is so excited to see the staff every time! He’s so loved, exercised, socialized and well taken care of, he sure does not miss me while he stays here. The groomer does an excellent job, they cut his hair exactly as I tell them and I can tell the trainers also brush him often, no mats, he’s always extra fluffy. I’m happy and relieved to know he’s in good hands while I’m TDY.
Just kenneled my dog at Sit Stay & Play and I was beyond impressed! Usually my dog is very anxious when coming home from the kennel but this time she was much more relaxed (and TIRED from all the playing!) Staff was helpful, friendly, and professional and made me feel good about leaving her somewhere new. We'll definitely be back!
Had our two dog groomed , they always do a fantastic job. Gracie and Everest look so well groomed.
Dixie Pet Stop is excellent! They take great care of our GSD and Frenchie. The dogs come home happy and tired after a day of play. I am grateful to have the trusted and loving staff take such good care if us and our dogs.
We have found a place where Tank our 120 pound Rottweiler puppy can play and have fun. Very good service and care, the team here understands the different needs for every puppy.
Dixie Pet Stop staff are the best. We have left Elrey 3 times. This past stay was the longest we left him. He gets the best interaction with other dogs and staff are so great at making sure he’s safe. I don’t trust anyone else. Thank you so much for your wonderful service. We will see you again.
My 6 month pup Buck loves this place! He never wants to leave and he is worn out after doggie daycare. He has stayed overnight once and all went well. Staff is great and praises him for behavior with other dogs. He's such a happy and friendly pup. Thanks for taking care of my baby when we can't and also for being affordable! I highly recommend!
My fur baby's love going to daycare. Today they were groomed for the first-time She did a very good job.price was good to .
Great place for your furry member of the family! Grooming, daycare, boarding! Bring your fur baby to play if they have a lot of energy or if you want them to socialize more. Boarding is available for whenever you need be it unexpected emergencies or even when it comes to the holidays! You can also get your fur baby a new cut or nails trimmed or even a bath for those who like to ruff it 😉. They do it all!
Super easy to schedule and coordinate with. The wonderful smell my dog would have after being groomed would last for months!
The staff at Sam Russell's have been taking care of my dog Teddy for years and have recently folded a new dog of mine, Franklin, into their pack. I'm always satisfied with their service and prices on Daycare and Treats in their pet store. I would like to see more pictures and videos of my dogs playing and an email trail of how their daycare visits went, however I know that can be difficult with their caring staff members hands being full monitoring the dogs. Will continue to use Sam Russell's for my daycare service needs!
My babies enjoys boarding at Sam Russel’s! They take such good care of them and I highly recommend this place for your fur babies
I put my little guy in here for 3 days on his 6th birthday, so he can play and socialize with other small dogs. He was supposed to share a large suite with his sister. When I picked them up, my little guy was covered in sticky urine. Neither dog had been let out to potty yet at 9am. They both smelled so bad that I had to drive home with the windows down. Both were extremely dehydrated. Once I arrived home my little guy could not climb the 2 steps to get into the house, this lasted for five days. His hind legs seemed as though they were partially paralyzed from what I could only explain as complete lack of movement for the previous 3 days. I believe they kept my little one in a small kennel. If he was in the large kennel that I paid for he would have been able to move around more. After speaking to the owner, it seems as though they in fact did not allow either one of my dogs out to play with the others. Diane said this was because my female has back issues. It was obviously my dogs punishment for a disagreement the owner and I had over the phone hours after dropping my dogs off. It seems as though they do not want to do things the way it is done at home. They want to only do it their way, like it or not. This place needs to be investigated. I had never trusted anyone to keep my dogs. This was the first place. I was BIG wrong on this place. Please read the negative reviews on this place. If you leave your dogs for the day they are great. Just be very careful when leaving them overnight.
They got us in same day for multiple baths for our dog after he got skunked! We also love how thorough and careful they are with pet assessments and socializing before taking on boarding clients! They obviously know their stuff and take great care of the pets entrusted to their care! Will definitely recommend and continue to use this company!
We searched for a while before finding Sam Russell’s to kennel our dogs. We wanted a place that felt like home and cared for our dogs like we do. I wanted them to have a vacation away from home when we have to be away. Recently, we kenneled our dogs for Spring break and Sam’s does it right. Our dachshund is 2 and our pug is 4 and neither have been kenneled before and we have a senior chihuahua that is deaf and has partial vision loss. Our dogs played with other dogs and were treated well by the staff. We picked them up without any shedding or weight loss and they were happy. They slept for the first two days after coming home and on our return to work they followed us to the back door wanting to go for a ride-two of them hate riding in the car. I think they thought they would go back to Sams. This is one happy, very satisfied customer. We will be back!!!! Thank you so much for caring for our babies like their your own!!!!
Well… I was in town to spend time with my daughter and grandkids who came up from TX for a baseball tournament. I’m from Wisconsin. I was looking for someplace to drop my ol’ girl off for some fun. In WI our dogs don’t get the canine influenza immunization so she couldn’t go in. However, it looks to be an amazing spot. The store looks like a place I could roam around in. The ladies at reception were very friendly. The grounds are immaculate and, from the staff parking lot it looks like they have plenty of staff to watch over the pets that come to stay and/or play. The only reason I gave 4 star review is because we couldn’t experience the facility, but rules are rules, and I appreciate that they look out for the welfare of our furry babies. We were in town for a week and she had to stay in the car (running with the ac on) ☹️most of the days, except for when we were in the hotel or visiting the family at their B&B, which she also could not go into.
Took one of our dogs here to be groomed, he's a Collie mix that was recently adopted from the county shelter and his coat has been a mess since we got him -Lots of mats in his fur, etc. He is very nervous around new places, sounds, etc and the staff here was absolutely wonderful with him. Very friendly and courteous to me as well, they did a great job trimming up Montys fur and getting rid of all the mats. Price was very reasonable, especially compared to the cost of grooming services other places in Etown
Great people, Great service and a Great price..I highly recommend this place..Our dog Atlas was a happy pup!! 😊 …
Very helpful and friendly staff. They all love animals and treat everyone respectfully. I've just started the process required to be able to use their doggy daycare, swim groups, and boarding. They also have a great store inside filled with a ton of accessories and provisions. Edit: One of my dogs has been a customer there for nearly a year now. They're wonderful with him. They truly care about the animals. He loves going and understands "Daycare" to the point of excitement. I'm grateful for such a wonderful place for my four-legged child.
Boarded our dog here twice. Very easy for drop off and pick up. The facility looks very clean and well taken care of. I love that they do assessments before putting dogs in daycare and they separate by size. My dog has been very happy coming back and loves doing just daycare here too. Would recommend to anyone. Price is very reasonable for how well run and clean this place is.
The building is insecure. All you have to do is pull up on the kennel run doors and they will open. They are large enough for large dogs and normal humans to fit through. Anyone could get in the building at any time. There are also rats abundant.
Our dog was said not to eat much and was not exercised for the week she was boarded. We would have had to pay for daycare for that which we were not told. She was fed and loved on they said. Don't even know if she went outside at all. Paid over $350 for a week. Should that not have included outside time? We will not go back. Our dog came back very thin. Wish she could talk.
Everytime I got out of town they are who I trust with my babies! They make me feel safe with my decision to leave them and update me on their activities as I ask. It is hard to find trusted people with your pets but they go above and beyond to make the experience stress free.
I boarded my dog for approximately 12 hours, charged for 24 and when they brought my dog out his bed was partially soaked with urine and he was wet with it. l don't know if they ever let him out . Ordered a walk for him and don't know if that happened either, they did not observe my feeding instructions either. Someone should have told me that their pick up time was 10:00 am. Will not be returning/
I truly cannot say enough good things about this place and these people! We have a very large (170lbs) pooch, and she is very nervous/scared and not easy to handle. Every time we have boarded her somewhere else, she comes back sickly looking and it takes her a few days for her to readjust. We boarded her here, and she came back happier than ever! The team here truly cares, and goes above and beyond every step of the way. Even with a more difficult pooch that is very large, they took the greatest care of her! We love you guys!!!
Do not take your animals here! They take your Dog outside with heat factor over 90 and leave them outside and until they are unresponsive and then they die. This just happened to our Dog today. He was a frenchie that cannot handle being outside for a long period of time. He overheated, threw up and then had a seizure. Become unresponsive and passed way.
Not the easiest review to write as I never want to say anything negative about the local humane society, but... We boarded our dogs here for a week while we were out of town. We have 3 dogs, 2 medium sized and a small chihuahua mix and an older cat. The chihuahua is aggressive so they let me go back with him when I dropped them off. I was really happy to see how clean the facilities were and felt reassured they would be well taken care of. When we picked them up it was a very different story. The kennels were dirty and the entire back area smelled like urine. When we got the dogs out, they were all slightly wet and smelled really bad and my little one looked really thin. When we got them home we couldn't let them inside until they all had a bath. Before we left, we portioned all of their food out for the week to be exactly what they needed. We got roughly two full days worth of food back for each dog which made me think they may have missed a few feedings... I honestly was going to let it all go until last night when one of my dog started coughing before bed. She woke up this morning with a really dry cough. Even with having her Bordetella vaccination a few months prior, she contracted Kennel Cough on her stay. And we incurred a $100 vet bill today for antibiotics and cough medicine. This was our first time using their boarding facility and unfortunately our last.
Very friendly! Helpful! Acknowledgeable! No complaints!
I get every single one of my pets from them and they have always been so amazing
My dog gets excited when I drop her off there and is happy when I pick her up, She gets in the car, falls a sleep. When we get home she likes to play in the yard for a few minutes. Then she sleeps most all night.
I am going to kennel my dog there. They allowed to bring my dog there for doggy daycare and he did well. He met new friends and seems to be relaxed. Wish they would send pics or have video feeds to look in on our best friends. He will be kenneled for 5 nights. They allowed me to take a tour of the facilities and the staff seems genuine. I have a Red Healer and he is full of energy, we got home and immediately had to go potty so not sure how much outside time they get. I like that they don't change extra for walks and play time, other places do. Wish there was a way to confirm. Please make our best friends visits personal and allow us to look in on them. I have had other dog's and kenneled them. I will update my review when I return from vacation. I noticed that they pay a lot of attention to making sure the facility is clean. One thing that I liked is that they have multiple outdoor area's where dogs can be outside in the grass and concrete. They have outdoor kennels too and areas where dogs can play in water. At this point i highly recommend them!
Brought our dogs for a trial run to see if they could board there. Our pitbull was turned away because supposedly she peed and pooped on the floor and showed her teeth to another dog. This may or may not be true, but she has never shown aggression toward a dog or human, ever! Y’all said our lab mix did great. Was very friendly and playing with other dogs, etc. I called back after my daughter picked the dogs up to see if our “friendly” dog could still board there, and that we would find somewhere else for our pitbull. The girl on the phone said she didn’t think our friendly dog would do well without our other dog, etc. but didn’t give an actual answer. So I asked is that a yes or a no? She said “it’s a no”. Why couldn’t our friendly dog still stay? Makes no sense. If I could give you zero stars, I would. But on another note, we took them somewhere else and they did great! Both of them.
So, my two dogs stayed for boarding recently (2/16-2/19), and I am so glad they did! Both my dogs are older rescues, and Karen, Katie and Mary all took such great care of them. My Australian cattle dog, Pete, gets separation anxiety, so I was concerned he was going to have a hard time. But that was not so! He did wonderfully and he definitely felt safe at Bailey's-- when we went to leave instead of beelining straight for the truck when I said it was time to go he made his way promptly over to Karen for some good bye pets and love. Our other dog, Coco, is a little dachshund mix. We *totally* forgot how cold it was going to be and forgot her coat, so naturally, it snowed that weekend. It wasn't a ton of snow, but when you're a little 10 lb smooth coated pup who is acclimated to Florida weather, even a dusting is too much! Karen totally saved my butt though, she said no worries-- we have a couple extra coats that have been donated to us, and Coco can borrow one. Her little loaner coat fit great, and Im sure Coco was super glad that it wasn't so cold! These ladies do a fantastic job with pups, and Im so glad they had spots available for us while we were in town visiting family.
I highly recommend this place. Before I boarded I was given a full tour of the facility and was given time to ask questions and explain my dog’s needs. My very very anxious Great Dane has intense separation anxiety and they did a great job working with us through the drop off process. This is our new boarding home for Seamus and as I said, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
After 2 months of waiting we were so excited for our pup to get into Bailey’s. They said they will work with your pet and assist in training yet they dismissed our 6 month old puppy after 2.5 days of daycare. Their reason was “he is poorly disciplined” and “does not listen to commands”. Obviously…as he is 6 months old. We also told them he begins Rosie Dane training in 1 week yet upon dismissal they instructed us to take him to a trainer and suggested Rosie Dane….which we had already told them we were enrolled and just had not started yet. When I asked if there was an incident or any aggressive behavior towards staff or other dogs they said no and described our dog as a sweet puppy but that they wanted to prevent future “potential” problems. I find this impossible to predict, again, as he has not began training yet and is a 6 month old puppy. On another note, our poor pup never ate any food while at Bailey’s and was returned to us each day with a full bag of kibble that we had provided that morning. Nothing was mentioned about this lack of eating and he was always starving to eat when he got home. I was willing to chalk this up as first week nerves but I guess one week is all it takes to write off a puppy? This business may describe themselves as putting the animals first but their expectations for puppies are unrealistic at best and inexperienced/ignorant at worst. They made no attempt to communicate that he was being a problem all week and then, come Friday, out of nowhere they said he was not allowed back. Again, Bailey’s said he showed NO signs of aggression. I don’t recommend a business with this poor of communication and customer service nor one that lies about their willingness to work with you. If you’ve got a military drilled dog that requires no extra effort from the staff or a pet rock then this is the place for you.
Love the groomer. She is absolutely awesome, my finicky Minature Schnauzer loves her and looks fabulous for over 2 months!!!
Loved the previous pet groomer. She had to retire due to an injury to her hand. We miss her she was so sweet to her animal clients, loving on them and talking to them. Hope she is doing well.
Such an amazing place!! The employees really take great care of the pets they are boarding- love this place so much!! :D
Every time by dog helplessly coughs when exerting herself I think of the kennel cough she got at Bailey's About seven years ago. Doc said it may effect her the rest of her life....and it has. When I brought them the information, their response was not sympathy. It was defense. "We're certain she must have had it before she came here," they said. The doctor said we weren't his first customer with KC from there. When dropping our dog off, it was raining & she had a thunder shirt on. We specifically asked them if they could remove it when the rain subsided. They said they would. On our return after four days, we found she had worn it the whole time & had worn the skin off in her pits. Almost bloody.
My brother brought his dog to this place and he is a (pit bull). He was brought to this facility for a trial run and he was kept in his kennel from 9-930 and was picked up at 530 he was kept in his kennel the whole time until he was brought out to use the restroom all by himself bc he was a pitbull with anxiety that has never shown aggression and has been to other doggie daycares with no issues!! I’m sick and tired of people judging a dog based off their breed! They mistreated him in my book by not giving him a chance and keeping him locked up and automatically thinking he is mean when he didn’t show any aggression towards any workers or other animals and they wonder why he wouldn’t eat or drink all day and that’s bc the staff was scared of him and kept him locked up all day. I don’t recommend this place bc apparently they all need a lesson on how to handle pit bulls and other breeds like them. It’s all how you raise them!! BBB will also be contacted about this issue and miss treatment all bc of the breed!! I don’t even give them a one star but had to just to make the post
