Loving Care for your Pets and Home, the Same as our Own!
Melanie and Chris are absolutely amazing! This was our first experience with zeewoi and our first time leaving our adopted senior cat for a few weeks. Melanie and Chris went above and beyond what we expected both before and during their stay. They sent us pictures and updates and left the house spotless! We can’t recommend them enough.

We’ll love up your furry friends and plant companions
Gerome and her partner Alse C were absolutely amazing! While I was away my cat Frank got a cut on his ear and they lovingly cared for him, took him to the vet, tended his wound, and made sure he could eat enough while wearing his neck cone. They went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and improving. They also left my house spotless! They are wonderful to communicate with and truly care for animals. I couldn't recommend them higher!

Responsible, compassionate animal lover, will travel to care for your fur babies
Julie came to my house for one night on her way home from Arizona. Turns out I didn't go away that night and invited her to stay anyway. Julie is lovely. She and Zorro bonded immediately and she was very considerate and respectful during her stay at my home. This was my first experience with a zeewoi so she gave me a lot of feedback on what to expect and what to look out for when using the service. She's experienced, great with animals, well organized and trustworthy. She is welcome back to my home any time!

Fit, Active, Outdoorsy types that are Reliable and Communicative
We returned home from our short break to 3 happy, tail wagging, relaxed and playful dogs and a clean house. They clearly had been quite content whilst we were away. Jo is a very nice man. Calm with the dogs. Very flexible when travel arrangements changed. Easy to get along with. All was good!

Whole-hearted, experienced sitter & traveler ready to love your fur-kids BIG
Marybeth was the loveliest sitter and cared for the kits so well over the weekend. She was so communicative and easy to organise everything with to set everything up, and kept us updated with when she was arriving. While we were away, we got regular updates with photos of the cats showing them in their usual spots and looking perfectly at home. They were so relaxed and at ease they even treated Marybeth to a present (!) - which she was incredibly gracious about (we’re so sorry- they don’t usually with guests!!). We’d definitely recommend her as a sitter for your home and pets ☺️

Mr and Mrs Doolittle
Ian kept in touch, asked appropriate questions, and both cats were happy and well fed when we got home. Of course he didn't get to see our phantom cat, but she came right out when we walked in the door and reported her care had been great.

Terri takes great care of our dogs and our home! We are very lucky to have had her as our housesitter multiple times. We have no worries leaving our house and our dogs in her hands. She is always caring and responsive, and has been there for us and our dogs even through emergency situations. Our dogs love her so much! Thank you again Terri!

Travel enthusiast looking to explore new areas.
Sage took great care of my pets during her stay, ensuring they were fed, let outside for potty breaks, and receiving plenty of playtime and cuddles. She followed the specific instructions and routines I had set for each of my pets, and they warmed up to her, showing that they adored her company. Sage communicated with me daily, which was reassuring. She sent daily photos, sometimes even videos or multiple photos, which made me feel confident that my pets were in good hands. Given the excellent care she provided to my pets, I'm overall satisfied with Sage's services. I would consider hiring her again in the future and would also recommend her to others looking for a pet-sitter.

Mary Jessica was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our GIANT dog Mamma Mia. She took extremely good care of our house with it cleaner than we left it upon our return. Our neighbors remarked on all the walks she gave Mamma and Mamma seemed very pleased with the entire experience. Mary Jessica was self sufficient, needing very little instruction outside of our Welcome Guide. She followed everything I wrote and asked how much communication I’d want. I’m very pleased and would both recommend her and love to have her again.
Martin was a very conscientious and thoughtful house sitter who took excellent care of our pets and our home. He was reliable, self-sufficient, and a very good communicator. He clearly enjoys and cares for animals, and our house was spotless when we returned. We recommend him wholeheartedly!
Erin was a great pet sitter who took such good care of little Chino. She was very reliable, kept us up to date with videos/pictures, looked after our home and kept it neat and tidy. She even left a thoughtful gift upon our return and was flexible with our travel plans. We would definitely recommend Erin for anyone looking for a reliable and friendly pet sitter!
Bard and Kim are amazing house sitters and pet care givers. I would recommend them over and over. I wish I could add numbers to the scale. They would get a 10+. Bard and Kim were super easy to work with, efficient, self-sufficient, and considerate. They took immaculate care of my home; it was definitely cleaner after they left! I would recommend them without hesitation over and over.
Kate was an excellent house sitter and pet sitter. She was thoughtful, sensitive, and attuned to our cats and the particulars of our house. It was really easy to communicate with her and she was responsible and conscientious about everything. When we came back our cats seemed unfazed by our return which was a great sign and it was obvious that she spent lots of time with them and gave them lots of love. The house was spotless on our return and she even alerted us to a health matter in one of our cats. She sent lots of cute updates and was easy going when we messed up a logistical detail on our end. Just a delightful person all around. I'd love to have her come again and if you have a chance to have her housesit, jump on it. She is a gem.
Melanie and Steve were excellent house & pet sitters. They sent me so many pictures of my 3 cats without me even asking and it made me so happy to see them enjoying their company. I'd say out of all the house sitters I've had, they spent the most time with my cats which means a lot to me. They are kind, easy to connect with and I'd welcome them back anytime. As far as caring for my house - top notch.
We were so happy to have Kyle as our house sitter for two weeks. Besides taking great care of our pets and our house, he was very accommodating. We were always able to get in touch with him if we needed to, and he agreed to take on some extra plant watering’s when the weather made a sudden change. As a bonus, he is very likable and communicative. We would definitely have him come again.
Exceptional Pet Sitters - Highly Recommend Diedre and Keith! I am thrilled to leave a glowing review for our trusted house and pet sitters, Diedre and Keith. They took exceptional care of our long-haired cat, Molly, and our home during our absence. Everything went incredibly smoothly, and their communication was top-notch. Dierdre and Keith provided regular updates, including delightful pictures of Molly, which put our minds at ease while we were away. Upon our return, it was evident that Molly had been well cared for and was content. The genuine love and understanding Diedre and Keith have for both dogs and cats was apparent in their interactions with Molly, and it was clear that they had made her feel comfortable and secure in their care. Their friendly and professional demeanor made the entire experience truly enjoyable. In addition to taking great care of our beloved pet, Diedre and Keith ensured that our home was in excellent condition upon our return. They even went the extra mile by informing us about the leftovers they left in the fridge, which was a thoughtful gesture. I wholeheartedly recommend Diedre and Keith as exceptional pet and house sitters. Their attentive and caring approach, coupled with their expertise, make them a perfect choice for anyone seeking reliable and trustworthy sitters. Don't hesitate to entrust your home and pets to this fantastic duo!
Janis is a wonderful person and also an incredible sitter -- we were very, very fortunate that she agreed to care for our beloved pets and rural log home for 3 days. We were confident that everything would be perfect – and it was. We returned to a home as clean and ordered as we had left it, inside and out. All plants were thriving; outdoor hanging baskets were blooming profusely. Most importantly, our beloved dog and 4 cherished cats had obviously been lovingly and attentively cared for. The koi were also active and happy. Janis is a “cat whisperer”. She is especially skilled and patient with shy felines, so we truly appreciated her patience and caring for our sweet Angie (with a semi-feral background). Janis immediately understood that Angie, despite her reclusiveness, craves affection and was able to start to earn her trust even with such limited time. Among Janis’ many gifts: she is a talented photographer and delighted us with frequent updates and photos of our furry children. They are so beautiful that we, with her kind permission, plan to include several in our zeewoi profile. Janis’ communications, reliability, self-sufficiency, and punctuality were exemplary, start to finish. We made a wonderful new friend and have already invited her back to sit again. If you are privileged enough to ever have Janis sit we are certain that you will be as delighted and happy as we are.
Gowri was very patient and caring with Irisi who got sick the day before I left. I cannot commend her enough for how she rose to the occasion and took care of my baby. She even pick up meds from the vet. My cat, Squinty, was very comfortable with her to jump in bed and wake her up early in the morning (as he would with me). I am not aware of him doing that to other sitters that have stayed at my place. I would give her 6 stars for Pet care if I can! She updated me with Irisi's condition which really help ease my mind, knowing someone looking after my furry really cared. I would certainly have her back again!

I take my dog here for daycare a few days a week and he is always *so* excited to go. While normally timid around other people, he wags his tail and eagerly rushes in when we arrive. When I pick him up, he's relaxed and clearly well-exercised. Mid City Animal House has multiple enclosures for dogs of different sizes and energy levels. Their staff are friendly, responsive, and clearly care about the animals. I'm really grateful to have found this business and I think my dog is too! Be sure to make reservations for daycare or boarding well in advance of holiday weekends. There are packages available for 10 or 20 visits for an overall discount.
I was anxious about boarding my 2 pups for their first time, but based on their reaction upon my return, it’s obvious that they really enjoyed their stay! They were happy to see me, but obviously relaxed and not stressed in the least. The reservation process was a breeze, and communication was smooth. We have another reservation upcoming and I feel confident that they’ll be in good hands again.
I can tell that this facility is well run and the staff care about the animals and care for them well. However, I’m giving this review to caution anyone with a particularly anxious dog considering this doggy daycare. They don’t really have the space to let dogs be alone for an adjustment period. My dog has separation anxiety and has done ok at another daycare (in Alabama, unfortunately)— but they had a separate yard for the dogs who needed a bit of space, and several staff— one of whom sat with my dog for a long time until he was calmer. This facility doesn’t really have the capacity for that (they only have one small yard space and two staff when I was there), and I don’t blame them for it, but it might be worth exploring other options if you have a pup who needs an adjustment period! They were understanding about our dog’s anxiety but we had to come get him after only about 15 minutes because they didn’t have the space/capacity to let him be on his own or in a quiet space for long and he became too worked up for them to safely keep him there. Again, reviewing to give information, not to talk down about this place. I’ve worked in a few doggy daycares and understand limits on space and staff! I appreciate the effort they made to make my boy comfortable, it’s just also up to me as a dog owner to find a good fit for my big scared dummy, and caution others with similar pups.
Everyone that works here is so incredibly nice, helpful and you can tell they really love their job and enjoy taking care of dogs. The first time I brought our pitbull puppy here I was under a ton of stress because my mom had just had a medical emergency and I had to fly to MI at very last minute notice, I called less than an hour before they closed, I got them the vaccination information from my vet and dropped our puppy off right before close, but the girl I spoke with on the phone (Chelsea, I think?) didn't rush us at all and even mentioned that there was no need to rush because they would be there for a bit anyways closing up. Overall this place is wonderful, and our puppy loves playing with the other dogs!
Our dog Mac stayed for three nights, and I think he loved it! I was a bit weary leaving our 1 y/o pup for the first time, the staff were courteous and supportive! There was a slight miscommunication about our friend picking up our dog for us, but it all worked out! Thanks for taking care of our Max! Hope he wasn’t too much of a handful :)
I usually don't write reviews but I have to say that out of the three boarding places I have taken my dog, Winston, I have enjoyed Mid City the most. It's always refreshing to know that the people that work here truly care about your dog. These people at Mid City do!! I am most comfortable taking my dog here and look forward to future boarding visits!
Such a great place, felt more like leaving my pet with a friend than a daycare. Also I have fluffy white boy dog and hate when he gets cut like a girl. The owner asked a lot of questions to ensure he came home looking his best. I am so please with his cut and the level of care my pet receives at mid city.
Took my chiweenie here for day care and to say for a night while visiting and he came back so relaxed and happy and exhausted from playing! The vibe here is great and he came back to us clean and without any sort of “dog kennel” smell. The people working here are nice too.
We moved from New Orleans this last weekend and it was hard to say good bye to Cali and Mid City Animal House for us and our pup, Macy. She has been going there since she was a puppy five years ago. Cali and her team always made last minute accommodations for our crazy schedules and Macy would always run up to the door ready for her stay. Before Macy we had an elderly poodle mix, Sadie, who spent her days cuddled up behind the desk when she was under the weather. Truly a home away from home for both of our dogs. Thank you!!
We were in town for a wedding and needed a place to board our dog on the days that we wouldn't be able to keep her with us. We inquired on their website and Cali immediately contacted us to set up the appointments. They did a great job with our dog Molly. Highly recommend!
Love camp bow wow! My boys been to both locations in New Orleans. Excellent staff. Very accommodating. He always comes home tired out from all his playing. He seems to love all the workers there and they love him which is most important to me.
What can I say? My dog (Dumas) and I LOVE Camp Bow Midcity. From daycare to a weekly bath and our last-minute boarding location, the staff at CBW have become a highlight of our day. Even after more than 2 years, their love of my furry family and their friendly attitudes and attention to detail continue to be touch notch.
Love Bow Wow mid-city. I can a bit of a helicopter dog mom and they always put me at ease if I’m nervous. Great team and great environment for my energetic pup. AND they take awesome photos with the babes.
Our Great Dane MJ hadn’t been back to Camp Bow Wow in almost a year. We had to wait until she was old enough to get her spayed before she could return. The staff welcomed our HUGE, 150+ lbs, nervous girl back into the group with open arms. I know I spent the entire time she was there watching the live camera. Nervous Momma. It brought me a lot of joy and relief to see her around so many dogs without ANY issues. Way to go Camp Bow Wow staff! You’re the BEST!
Camp Bow Wow Mid-City is the best and my dog (Nova) love it there. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and I feel very comfortable leaving my dog in their care.
Update! I'm still so grateful for Camp Bow Wow, especially Casey! Every single employee knows my dog (Bishop!) and they all seem genuinely happy to see her when she comes in. The other day I heard an employee singing to her as they brought her back to the corral. It's great to know such a great crew cares for my girl. Thanks, y'all!
Camp Bow Wow Mid-City is fantastic. And the biggest critic, my dog, loved it! She gets so excited when we pull up - that means the most to me!
Great staff, my dog absolutely loves it. We only take him for boarding so he knows hes going to be there for a few days, and without hesitation he just runs straight through the doors and doesnt look back.
My pup Duck loves it here. She’s pretty shy and reserved but lately she gets so excited, jumping to meet counselors and running back to the play group. Happy we found a place she loves and I trust
DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE!!! My poor baby was neglected the entire time. I had to demand to pick him up early as he was whining in his own feces for hours and hours. I watched as he begged for attention and pets, and he was continuously ignored every single day. There was no “all day play,” for I watched as they kept him in his kennel suite for hours instead of playing. The neglect and mistreatment of my dog while paying very expensive rates was heartbreaking. I am just so heartbroken I left my dog there, and we will NEVER return. His bed was also destroyed due to the neglect. I also watched as two dogs were fighting completely UNATTENDED. This facility is not safe, nor does it care about your dogs happiness or wellbeing.
I came into town to visit friends and found they were allergic to dogs. It was about 400 degrees out and my dog would not have done well alone in our hotel. I got a recommendation for May and when I contacted her, she answered immediately. She helped me get through the necessary paperwork and then found a place for my pup, Lucy P Waffles, with her mom, Julie. I dropped Lucy off and immediately knew she’d be fine. They sent photos and updates all day. I cannot thank May and Julie enough. Fantastic ladies!
Our first time using Nonie's Pet Care and we will certainly be long time clients. We have a dog that does not like doggie day care. The sitters from Nonie's were so sweet to our dog who loves to play catch. They made sure she ate, had fresh water and got her playtime in. Even came later into the evening for a late potty break and "tuck in" for the night. Easy to make reservations and payments. Also, they sent updates for each visit with photos of a very happy pet!!! Thank you so much!!!
Nonie's Pet Care is a highly professional and dependable pet service!! I have 2 pups and was so nervous about leaving them at home for an extended period without family and did not want to board them. I was able to see my pups and know what they did and what they ate every day. We always look forward to getting the text messages with pictures and updates from each visit. My pups were so happy and playful when we returned. I know they were given lots of attention and love while we were away. My house was even cleaner than when I left on my trip! The pet portal is fabulous for easy scheduling. I can now go on vacation and not feel worried. Liz and her staff are excellent and I highly recommend!
We've been using Nonie's for the past 3 years. As my dogs got older I knew they would prefer to be in their own home vs a kennel so we started using Nonie's and they have been wonderful. They are reliable, answer messages quickly and are always accommodating if we have to make switches. They send pictures and updates at every visit and have always made my dogs feel loved while we're on vacation. Highly recommend.
Nonie's Pet Care is simply the best. They take excellent care of my pets. Our newest dog is a rescue who was exhibiting fear aggression, and I was reluctant to leave him. Putting him in a kennel was out of the question. Nonie worked with him and built his trust. He adores her, and I now feel comfortable leaving, knowing he is in good hands. It is an immense relief! She loves my pets like they are her own, and they love her back. She is reliable, conscientious, and professional. I am so grateful I found her!
I have been using Nonie's pet care ever since I had an emergency while out of town with a previous pet sitter. The owner has always been very accommodating to all of my requests, answers my texts quickly, treats my pets like they are her own, and keeps my house clean and locked up safe. I feel like my pets are in safe hands when Liz and her staff are taking care of them, as well as my house! Definitely recommend Nonie's Pet Care to any one that may need a pet sitter.
Nonie's Pet Care are a very dependable pet service and very professional. She comes to my house 5 days a week for 1 hour each day and makes sure my dogs are walked, played with, and gives them treats. I work very long hours and don't really have the time to walk them and play with them like I need to. Since I have used Nonie's Pet Care Service, my dogs are very happy. They even wait for her on the weekends. I would highly recommend Nonie's Pet Care to anyone who is looking for someone to just watch them while they are away or an every day care service.
I moved to New Orleans this past July with my 2 old cats. Troubles is diabetic and needs insulin twice per day. Trixie forgets to eat and needs to be hand fed and given lots of treats. I had a super pet sitter in San Diego and was really nervous about finding a new one here in NOLA, especially because I have to travel for work. I vetted a number of companies but Liz and her crew at Nonie's Pet Care had not only the best program, super fair prices but the photos and updates they provide really give me peace of mind. They are on time all the time and super reliable. Call Nonie's Pet Care today!!!! You will be very happy with their service.
I've never used such a service as I usually have family watch my two small female dogs when I'm out of town, so I was tentative about doing so but left with no choice due to timing and location. I can only say I had NOTHING to worry about! I met Liz at my apartment before I went out of town and she already was playing with my dogs. While I was out of town, I received texts and pictures each time the visits occurred, which really makes a big difference to know AND see your furry kids are being well taken care of. I cannot recommend Nonie's Pet Care enough. I will definitely use them again when I have to go out of town, and if you are having ANY thoughts about using this time of service, I cannot imagine that there is a better one than Nonie's. Thank you SO much to everyone at Nonie's for knowing even though they are furry, they are still our babies!
Nonie and all her pet sitters are the best! I truly don 't know what I would do without Nonie. I have used Nonie's service on and off since 2017 whenever we would travel. Because of Covid, we didn't travel for 2 years. I recently planned a week long trip and because my Harley had not seen Nonie in 2 years, she came by a week before my trip to visit and play with him. Harley knew her and kissed all over her of course! She truly cares about all pets and she's great with them! She has built a very professional business; yet she still gives that local, small business attention. I can leave town and trust my Harley will be well taken care of and receive lots of attention!!
I cannot recommend Liz and her team at Nonie's Pet Care enough!! She has been caring for my baby, Scotia, now for almost two years. She is THE MOST, reliable, dependable and loving person. She treats my baby like her own and truly loves her job. She has saved me in last minute situations when my husband and I were stuck at the hospital. If you want your pets to be cared for like you would care for them, then you really need to call Liz. I have already recommended her to neighbors and friends and will continue to do so! We love you Liz and team!!! - Scotia, Amanda and Logan
Staff is professional and takes great care of my dogs. They love it there! Prices are more affordable than compared to other local daycares. Mine have been boarded overnight and go to daycare there.
My dog absolutely loves Puppylove! She’s been going 1-2 times a week for over a year now. The staff is very friendly and it’s such a convenient location! Highly recommend!
My pup loves this place. She's been coming here for three years whenever I have to be out of town. They treat my pup like a queen. Their services are great and the staff is super friendly.
My dog was boarding here for a week an she had some issue with her Anxiety at this place being kennel up that someone called us letting us know. But when I came to pick her up and bring her home I saw she got kennel cough at this place and no one notified me this I so Dont appreciate this. And beside the building got a very bad smell inside like it's never clean. So not recommend
I am moving back to the area and interested in becoming a new client since the location is convenient. Phone calls go straight to voicemail as stated on the website. Unfortunately, when my calls were returned I was on calls for work. I didn't see any photos of the play areas or sleeping quarters. I decided to just go there. Upon entering, my mother and I were overwhelmed by the smell of urine and feces. The place smelled horribly. The 2 girls sitting at the front desk said that tours are not offered during the week and said that there was no manager on site to answer my questions. The hours of operation are limited. Apparently, their business must be doing so well that customer service doesn't need to be a focus. I had used Camp Bow Wow in PA. I decided to visit their mid-city location. While not as convenient, the hours of service, level of knowledge of staff and customer service, and cleanliness of the place far exceeds what I witnessed at Puppy Love. You get what you pay for...
I have been going to Puppylove Daycare for probably almost 2 years now. I got a puppy a year and a half ago and as a first time puppy parent I was super hesitant and nervous about leaving her somewhere for a day, but I really wanted to socialize her and get her out of her kennel while I was at work. Ms. Angela and Marleigh answered my MANY MANY questions regarding their services, etc. and were extremely friendly and helpful. Even after the first few days my puppy went to daycare they updated me on how she was doing/adjusting. At first my dog was nervous, didn't want to go/hesitant (which is normal), now when I bring her she runs in so fast the leash flies off my hand! She loves everyone and the staff is really amazing. They truly care about your baby and are very communicative! If you are researching places to take your pup, seriously look no further. They are awesome and your dog will love you and be so pooped at the end of the day! Really nice people.
The best doggy daycare in the Greater New Orleans area! We’ve been bringing our dogs since 2015 and the care and compassion they have for our animals is unparalleled. I highly recommend PLD.
I love puppy love!!! Most important the care for my pet and friendliness of the staff. If you want to feel good about your pet let puppy take care of them.
WE Love Puppy Love Day Care ! Angela and her team are seriously the friendliest staff that genuinely care and love the fur babies :) Would highly recommend to anyone in need of puppy daycare! Your pups will thank you !
Everyone is so nice and friendly. They genuinely care for the pets there. I feel very comfortable leaving puppy while I am away for work or vacation.
We love Pawlins!! Duke loves to go there and every time he leaves his tail is always wagging. We use them for their grooming services and day sitting. We love being able to watch him on the cameras while we are away. We recommend Pawlins to our friends and family all the time!
Gizmo loved it at Pawlins. We live in a Travel Trailer and sometimes site electric is very questionable. In NO this is definitely the case. Pawlins gave us the the peace of mind to know our fur baby was safe and cool in the hot weather while we enjoyed a day out in the French Quarter. They are awesome.
Today was my dog’s first interview and she spent a half day there. I found the facility clean, the staff courteous and ultimately my dog was safe. I watched her throughout the morning on the webcam. My pet also needed a vet analysis to update her records and it was convenient she could go right next door to the veterinary hospital affiliated with Pawlins.
My first experience with Pawlins was today getting my Yorkie groomed. Leonard did a phenomenal job! I will be a regular. The facility was so impressive. And the staff was kind and gentle with my sweet girl. I HIGHLY recommend!! 🩷 …
I'm So Excited For The Way That Ashley Cut My 🏙️🙏🏾💜💜♾️🚸🐶🐾🐶🐾 Hevan & Romelo Hair 🤷🏾 IS Cut 💂🏾💂🏾♠️ Thanks Pawlins Grooming. This Is There Forever ♾️❤️ Home 🏡 . Merry Christmas ⛄🎁 Too Each And Everyone Overhere At Pawlins 🐾🐾🏙️✨✨✨✨ …
Everything was done timely, professionally and courteously. Our Bichon, Jake, has never looked better. Ashley did a great job.
Our buddies board their dog here. So when we had a last minute trip, we decided to try it instead of a pet sitter. It was great! the staff is super communicative (particularly when our pup was shy at first and a little intimidated), very easy to reach and the videos of play time were great. We also liked the rates. Would board here again
The staff was very nice and friendly. I dropped off my cat for a 7 day stay. The place was very clean and didn’t smell at all like cats (or dogs for that matter). The report cards they sent were very cute- it included a picture and a little note “from the cat” like “meow, I’m doing well…” I’ve added pictures they sent me. It was easy to coordinate the cats stay, and drop off and pick up were seamless. The cat was clearly well cared for while there. They even washed the blanket we dropped him off with.
Can not say enough good things about Pawlins. I have been to other places and they all smelled really bad. Pawlins keeps their facility very clean and sanitized not to mention my pup loves going to play with all her friends. Every person is so nice and professional and friendly. Lucy, my dog also gets groomed here and they always do an amazing job on her. I highly suggest and recommend this place for all your fit babies needs.
I’ve really debated whether to leave this review but it seems necessary. We have brought our dogs to Pawlins twice for grooming. One time was without incident, but this second time is too horrific to go without comment and warning for other dog owners. We dropped the dogs off for grooming on Saturday, receiving a call from the groomer shortly after saying that they had caught some of our senior dog’s tail fur in the nail grinder and he had yelped, so he needed to be looked at by the vet. We were understandably worried but it sounded under control. When the vet called us to update, the severity of the injury was much more significant than previously disclosed and they were undecided if they would need to amputate a portion of his tail to rectify the issue. We were SHOCKED! Still are. How does this happen at a standard bathe and groom appt to a 15 year old dog!!!? Whom we are very concerned will not survive the anesthesia required for an amputation surgery???Currently we are waiting for the vet to decide whether the surgery will be necessary, and it has been 5 days since he was maimed by the groomer at Pawlins. To add further insult to this terrible injury, No one from Pawlins has called us to ask how he is doing? To inquire about his health? He is unable to bathroom outside properly because of the tail bandaging. He barely moved for all of Saturday and Sunday upon returning home after the trauma and honestly we thought it was the end of his life. I’m appalled that we haven’t received any calls or efforts from Pawlins, as to how we are coping with the multiple vet appts he now has scheduled due to their negligence? We both have to take time off from work to get him to these appts and as a single car couple an offer of ride assistance or for him to be treated at a vet facility closer to our home would have been greatly appreciated. I’m just in shock that this could, and did happen, and am losing sleep about the possibility of my senior dog needing a major surgery. I wish we had never brought them there and hope that other dog owners take note of the warning. Edit after owner’s response: Laure, you have our number, you do not call, you have my email, you’ve sent no message. You have chosen to reach out to us, for the first time as the owner of the establishment that maimed our dog, 5 days after the fact, and only in a response to a google review. So I will call that out for what it so obviously is, an insincere and performative apology. Thanks for the 50$ to Uber and your public declarations of compassion. As well as kudos to y’all for covering the vet bills for the INJURIES your staff and negligence caused! On 12/19, Einstein’s wound reopened, causing significant bleeding. We rushed him back to Pawlins’ chosen vet in River Ridge, calling Pawlins and pleading with GM Meg to allow us to use our closer vet due to the strain of multiple visits (5 and counting) on our time and resources. Meg said the owner, Laur, refused to pay for care unless we continued using their vet. Laur, who once claimed they’d do “anything” to make this right, has ignored calls since 12/19, leaving Meg to handle this on her day off when she was with her daughter. Please see her false lies in her response to my original review. They’ll do anything to support us during this difficult time, EXCEPT THE ONE THING WE REQUESTED. Our vet and the emergency vet’s were appalled that they are refusing to pay for Einstein’s care, except at the vet to which they are related and many have suggested that that may not be legal. Einstein has since required two more emergency vet visits, on 12/27 and now on 12/29. Their refusal to take responsibility is appalling. We’ve given up on them and will send them the bills. Please, if you value your pet’s wellbeing, or being treated with dignity and respect avoid Pawlins at all costs. Please also look at their Indeed reviews from employees who talk about the lack of training and support from management and ownership and their employer score of 2.8 to know what kind of place this is and how much they value people.
Mary is AMAZING!! She saved my butt when I returned to NOLA with my newly adopted rescue and had to return to work the next day. I was a stressed out mom and she put me at ease. She sends me daily updates and photos of lulu and after 4 days of her being there, lulu is like, “peace out mom, see ya later 😂!!” highly recommend!! We love Aunt Mary….
Pup-Bunny Paradise has great service at reasonable prices! Mary took care of my two cats during two trips and I already scheduled two more. I was able to add time onto each visit for Mary to play with my young kitten - there were no major chewing incidents while I was gone so my kitten definitely got her energy out! I received photos and updates after most visits which I appreciated. I'm able to request service online which is very convenient but Mary is also quick to respond to texts. I'd definitely recommend if you need a pet sitter in the CBD!
Chris is awesome! He is honest and kind, and cares deeply for dogs. I know my fur babes are in great hands with him! They get real exercise with him, plus, he takes great photos of them in action! He is also incredibly accommodating to my wacky schedule, even with last minute requests. I highly recommend him for walking and pet sitting!
Our dogs love Chris!! Chris has been walking and sitting for our two puppies for about a year and a half. Both dogs love to see his car pull up to the house for a walk, and he definitely makes sure they get their exercise in. He's reliable, knowledgeable, and has a calm energy that even difficult dogs seem drawn to. We can rest easily when we leave town knowing that our doggos are in good hands.
Chris is amazing. He takes my dog on great walks and she gets so excited when he comes. Most importantly I know that June is so loved and well cared for when she is with Chris. I can’t recommend him enough.
Chris did a great job taking care of my prairie dog Mimi while I was out of town. He sent pictures and notes after each visit and followed my instructions to a tee. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter in New Orleans!
Chris is so amazing at what he does!!! This weekend, after getting into an accident, I was suddenly unable to walk due to pain and swelling. I have a big energetic dog that requires a lot of attention and play time! I didn’t even hesitate to text Chris the situation and he responded IMMEDIATELY that he would be able to take her that evening. I was so embarrassed to tell him that I had run out of dog food that morning and he said no problem and ran to the store to get it for me after picking up June so I didn’t even have to get off the couch. My girl was so happy and tired today from being with Chris and I was able to get a big jump start on healing. So many thanks to Chris for making a terrible situation so easy!!
Chris is amazing and I recommend him all the time. He is reliable, my dog loves him, and he takes the best dog pictures. What more can you ask for?
Wouldn't trust anyone else with my pups. Chris is loving, patient, and reliable. I think my pups might love him more than me....
My dog Patronus absolutely loves Chris. In fact Chris is the only person he loves that isn’t us.
Happy puppies
MaryMac’s services are both perfession & personal, she takes the time to connect with both the pet and their owner. My dog Snoball have come to love and trust her.
Lestat LOVES Mary Mac's dog daycare! Never seen him so excited as when he arrives. He has made several friends here, and they play hard. I appreciate the daily report cards with photos and descriptions of his day. The daycare is next to a quiet public park, which allows him walks during his stay. If he could, my pup would give this place 10 stars!
I noticed my dog's smell was bothering me, so I decided to schedule an appointment at Mary Mac's. I'm a Black woman who tries to support Black-owned businesses, and a friend recommended this one. I took my dog there in July, but I wasn't that happy with the choppy haircut he received (see photo). However, the owner seemed good with my dog. When I tried to schedule the next appointment on Mary Mac's website, I couldn't select a date, so I called instead. The assistant booked me for September 25 at noon, the perfect time to drop off my dog at Mary Mac's and get back to work. On the day of the appointment, I made it home from work at exactly 11 am, allowing me enough time to grab lunch and pick up my puppy. When I arrived at the salon, I saw the owner, Courtney, talking to someone. After letting my puppy use the potty, I was ready to head inside. I opened the confirmation email on my phone and was eager to have a clean and cozy puppy. I was considering setting up recurring appointments every two months to avoid any last-minute rushes. I headed up the stairs. “I called you.” Courtney said and stared back. “I’m sorry?” “I called you. Your voicemail is full.” She explained that she couldn't groom my dog that day for personal reasons. “We been calling you.” She looked me up and down “I swear I didn’t get it.” “Mmmmhmm. You need to answer your phone.” I glanced down, scrolling through my call log. “You one of them people with a bunch of texts, huh?” She said. Her hands at either hip. “I am.” I tried to maintain my kindness and calmness. It was true. I am. Maybe, I missed it. Things happen. “How about tomorrow?” “I can’t leave work again.” “Friday?” “Work.” I returned to my car. My dog sat beside me, smiling, with his hair covering one of his eyes. I checked my call log but found no texts or calls from her or the Mary Mac number. Was she lying or mistaken, or was it all just a miscommunication? I’d call her. I looked up her number and gave her a call. “Are you sure that was me? I don’t see any calls or texts from you.” “My assistant and I. We both called.” “What number did you call?” “(xxx) xxx-xxxx.” “That’s not my number. It’s one digit off.” She paused. “Who made the account?” “Huh?” “The account is self-registered.” “I called to make my appointment. She took my number and email.” “But the account is self-registered.” I paused. Self-registered? Ma’am, be flipping for real. I resolved myself to get my money back and take my business elsewhere. “What happens to my $20 deposit?” “I’ll be a credit.” “I won’t get it back?” “No refunds. We don’t do refunds.” I couldn’t even get my money back for their mistake. Let me at least share my experience, I said. I won’t be going back to Mary Macs. They emailed me to confirm my appointment. (See photo.) Why not email me to cancel it? I called the number they said they called but the voicemail was full, and the name didn't match mine. They won't return my deposit. Their policy clearly states that all deposit monies will be refunded in case of cancellation initiated by them. (see photo). Make it make sense.
Courtney is absolutely the best! She is so attentative and kind to the dogs. She sends pictures and a report card of the doggies every day. I had my Chihuahua stayed there for a week and he was such a happy puppy! I will recommend MaryMac's anytime!
Ms. Cortney is the best. She adjusted her schedule to accommodate our grooming appointment in the midst of Hurricane Francine. Though there were several dogs in care that day, she was extremely patient with getting those out in a timely manner as the weather brewed and I’m sure parents were as busy and anxious doing hurricane preparations. She also boarded him for half day as well complimentary due to schedule adjustments on both ends. Our Ollie was visibly anxious this time around and though given medication, wasn’t able to calm down for his usual cut, so Ms. Cortney did a shave down in his best interest. He looks and smells great for our “hunker down”.
Our dog Suki always loves spending the day with everyone at MaryMacs. She is so happy and tired when she comes home. She has such a great time you can tell. The crew goes above and beyond to make events special for people who have dogs not children. They understand we love our dogs the same and they give them the same care you would expect for your children. I’ve raised 6 so I know the difference. They are wonderful.
MaryMac’s Doggie Retreat is just that…a wonderful place for dogs to “relax and rejuvenate.” Courtney is amazingly awesome with the services she provides and how she and her staff interact with your canine. It’s comforting to know that you are leaving your dog in the hands of caring professionals. This is Deuce’s second visit (boarding) and it will not be his last. He has already met some great new friends. Thank you Courtney for all that you do and continue to do!
They’re fantastic! Flexible on adjusting Jax’s assessment date, asked all the right questions before taking care of him and clearly let my answers inform the way they treated him. When I brought him back ten minutes after leaving (because I forgot something), he couldn’t wait to get back inside. Thank you so much y’all, what a relief that we found the right spot 😌
I brought my service dog Chloe to MaryMac’s Doggie Retreat for daycare. The moment we walked in the door we were treated like family. My Chloe was not used to other people. But she was shown love instantaneously. Needless to say, Chloe loves going to MaryMac’s Doggie Retreat so much that I am using one of the affordable packages, and I don’t have to worry about my house being in shambles when I get home from work. The location of MaryMac’s allows easy access on and off the GNO bridge.
I love MaryMacs! I know my dog is in good hands with the owner Courtney, and the rest of the staff. My dog loves it there, and they send cute doggy pics throughout the day 10/10
