Shirley left eveything as she found it. The cats seemed to do well while we were away.

We were so happy to have Dana & David stay at our house! They were prompt with communications and took great care of our home. They were very flexible as our plans changed at the last minute. Simply said, we would highly recommend Dana & David!

Caring, Clean and Dependable Traveler Who Would Love To Take Care Of Your Home
Elizabeth was fantastic and we would absolutely have her again. She is a great communicator, checked with us if she wasn't sure, took good care of Lulu, and was overall wonderful.

Retired educators will provide ownership care
Chris and Barb were great pet and house sitters! Our dog Arthur was sad to see them leave and us arrive! They left our home even cleaner and tidier than when we left, and we appreciate all they did to look after Arthur.

Active 38 years old travel Nurse that loves animals, and has a flexible schedule
I would higly recommend Rachel for pet sitting. She took great care of my elderly, highly social cat, who needs extra love and attention in addition to requiring daily medicine in her ears. She handled everything beautifully and sent me great updates throughout the week. I'd definitely invite her to sit for me again!

Retired Trial Attorney-Trustworthy, Compassionate, Friendly, Caring and Tidy!
We were lucky enough to have Dede sit our house and yellow lab for a little more than two weeks. She treated our house as if it were her own and did an outstanding job looking after our three year old yellow lab, providing the requisite exercise for her, as well as the love and attention she so craves. Our home was spotless upon our return with everything in order and although our pup was happy to see us, she may have been a little sad to see Dede go. We would reccomend Dede, with our highest praise, to anyone who is seeking a responsible, caring, communicative and considerate sitter, you will not be disappointed!

(The English version follow) Tout était parfait avec Elise! --------------------------------------- Everything was perfect with Elise! As soon as she entered the house, I felt her interest and gentleness towards Anna and Boris. She was very attentive to my expectations and asked good questions to make sure she understood how the house worked. I would have liked to receive more news from Anne and Boris during my absence. I will make sure that this aspect is clearer during my next house-sitting. The house was super clean... beyond my expectations! Elise even left me fresh strawberries and chocolate for my return. What a sweet thought! For all these reasons, I highly recommend Elise!

Teacher/petsitter dreaming of making petsitting and traveling a reality!
When we select a sitter, we read every review in addition to conducting some sort of video interview. We really rely upon the experiences of past hosts, so that’s why I believe it important to be honest in this review. I love giving out 5 star reviews and do quite frequently, but I also need to share any less-than-positive experiences as well for those hosts who rely upon reviews such as we do. As such, I’m a bit ambivalent about writing this review of Katie, as there were some really good things Katie did while here. She is a lovely, energetic woman who responded immediately to the concerns I voiced to her during the time she watched our pets; however, the “negatives” we experienced speak to the heart of the importance of having a dedicated pet sitter. For the most part, our home was left tidy and neat – which is no small feat as ours is a large house and I appreciate the care Katie took in ensuring we walked into a clean home. That said, Katie failed to notice my dogs had urinated in both of their dog beds and on the floor of our downstairs office, which we believed happened in the first part of the sit and resulted in the downstairs smelling of stale urine. Further, because she didn’t notice the urine, my pets, when downstairs, had to either sleep on the bare floor or in wet beds, neither of which is a satisfactory option. Also, my dogs don’t generally urinate in the house as they have access to a doggie door, and this seemed more a sign of their distress or discomfort. I believe this incident was part of a larger problem I experienced with Katie and that was in the manner in which she approached this sit. I advertised dates of July 6 – July 22. We generally ask our sitters to come in a day or two early as to walk them through the schedule for both our animals and our many plants, as well as to give them time to get to know the animals and experience a little of the town we live in. We also provide a very detailed introduction and welcome guide which outlines our expectations. Katie came in late in the day on the 7th, without personal transportation, which necessitated us picking her up and then my neighbor taking her to a rental cart company the next day because we left very early on the morning of the 8th. This abbreviated introductory time didn’t allow us to fully prepare Katie for the sit and allowed for some apparent “misunderstandings.” The “issue” for me was for the first five days of our 13-day trip, Katie was away from the house for up to 13 hours at a time – leaving our two, older rescue dogs, who have some separation anxiety - alone and with an extended time between meals. It was clear Katie was using this opportunity to visit many of the beautiful areas which surround where we live – hence using our home as more of an Airbnb to vacation – than a house sit dedicated to caring for our animals. Our dogs are fine with being alone for up to six hours but even that, for multiple days in a row, is, frankly, distressing to our animals and to us, as owners. To Katie’s credit, when I called and brought her daily, extended time away to her attention and reiterated my wishes the dogs not be left for more than 6 hours, she changed her schedule and while still gone every day, capped her time away at six hours. And, as I said, she is cheerful and responsive; hence, the ambivalence is positing my concerns with this sit. I think if Katie is provided with very clear expectations prior to the sit and understands exactly what is needed and expected, she will absolutely deliver. For whatever reason, from the start, this sit was rushed, there appeared to be too many misunderstandings, and it ended up being frustrating for us in ways other sits have not been.

Friendly, Responsible Pet Sitter looking to Travel while Working Remotely
From a pet sitting aspect we were not unsatisfied with Sara. Our dogs seemed happy and our chickens were also tended to well. However, from a house sit I will say we were disappointed with a few things. There was a bad storm the day before we left and we requested some photos of the damage to our property that was done. I asked multiple times and never received what I asked for after saying she would send it. We also agreed to daily updates in form of text or pictures of the animals and I did go the first couple days without reliable communication which didn’t sit well with me. As for the state of the house upon return, while it was mostly clean, one of our curtain rods was ripped from the wall. I wouldn’t have been upset had we just been notified of the repair that needed to be done but she never even told us that she broke anything in the house it was just left. She also very clearly rummaged through our drawers and took brand new unopened toiletries from areas that we did not specify she could use and she never reached out asking if it would be ok to take.
Kelly and Pat arrived the evening before I left on my trip so we were able to have a nice visit and get to know each other a bit. They asked many questions about the dogs and the house so that they would feel comfortable with the pet sit. Piper and Zuria were very comfortable with them. They sent pictures from dog walks, kept me informed and promptly notified me when there was one simple issue that they handled very well. I’m not able to speak to the condition of the house on my return because a second sitter came right after Kelly and Pat and before I came home. They spent time with the new sitter so that she would know how to take care of the dogs and negotiated the transfer time. Kelly and Pat are a lovely couple and very interesting to talk with. I feel lucky that they were able to take care of Piper and Zuria and would love to have them back again.
Angela did a great job caring for Willie for 10 days while we were out of town. She was easy to communicate with and kept us informed about Willie, along with sending photos of him out on walks and at the beach. Angela was very accomodating when we needed to come home a day early - Thank you! The house was left in good shape and it's clear that Angela is organized and reliable and clearly loves her pet charges. I'd recommend Angela and will definitely include her as one of our top sitter choices in the future! Thanks again, Angela!
I had the pleasure of having Tracey and her two children as house sitters, and I can't praise them enough for the incredible job they did. From the moment they stepped into our home, it was evident that they were dedicated, caring, and attentive to every detail. First and foremost, Tracey's approach to caring for our house and our beloved pets was nothing short of excellent. She has an innate ability to connect with animals, and it was clear from the daily updates and photos that our pets were happy and thoroughly pampered. The house was kept in immaculate condition, and they treated it with the utmost respect as if it was their own. Moreover, Tracey demonstrated remarkable responsibility and initiative when our AC system unexpectedly broke down. Without hesitation, she arranged for an HVAC company to come and fix the issue, taking time from her day to ensure our home was taken care of. Her willingness to front the repair costs until I could reimburse her was an act of kindness and trust that you rarely see. Tracey and her children's thoughtfulness and thoroughness provided me with peace of mind during my time away, which is priceless. I returned to a home that was just as I left it, if not better. Their stay was characterized by an extraordinary level of care and I was particularly impressed by how they left the house in perfect condition, with happy pets to welcome me back. I wholeheartedly recommend Tracey to any future hosts. Her reliability, compassion, and the ability to handle unexpected situations with grace are commendable. I would welcome Tracey and her children back to house sit in a heartbeat – they are exactly the kind of house sitters that one hopes for on this site! Thank you, Tracey, for everything. You and your children are welcome back anytime!
Duncan was an excellent pet sitter and looked after our old girl Cookie really well.
I could not have asked for a better first time sitter experience! Terry & Vinnie were absolutely wonderful people. They took stellar care of my beloved pets and my home. Their communication with me was enough that I felt perfectly at ease during my time away and in turn, they were super responsive if I contacted them. My pets were relaxed and happy when I returned!
Deboraj took great care of the apartment and of our goofy unsociable cat. She went out of her way to bring catnip and make friends with Rowan. She communicated often and cared to be as good a house and pet sitter as could be. I can gladly recommend her highly to anyone else looking. Thank you Deborah.
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Jessica was an awesome pet sitter for my cat Fifi. She texted photos and updates everyday so I knew that Fifi was being well cared for. She was communicative and asked a lot of good questions to make sure she understood Fifi's needs. My home was equally as clean (if not more so) upon my return. I would highly recommend Jessica!
Gowri was very patient and caring with Irisi who got sick the day before I left. I cannot commend her enough for how she rose to the occasion and took care of my baby. She even pick up meds from the vet. My cat, Squinty, was very comfortable with her to jump in bed and wake her up early in the morning (as he would with me). I am not aware of him doing that to other sitters that have stayed at my place. I would give her 6 stars for Pet care if I can! She updated me with Irisi's condition which really help ease my mind, knowing someone looking after my furry really cared. I would certainly have her back again!
Shella was a great house sitter and I had no concerns leaving her in charge when we went away. She kept in touch while we were away and we returned to happy pets and a tidy house. What more can you ask?! I would be more than happy to welcome Shella back to house sit another time.

Peanut had the best time at Iva’s. Everything about our first experience was wonderful. We felt so comfortable leaving our pup overnight. We got lots of pictures and updates! I am happy we found a place that doesn’t just put her in a kennel. She was “part of the family” while she was there. She can’t wait to go back.
Iva's Place is wonderful! Our dogs boarded there for 5 nights and we were so impressed with the care they received. TL communicated with us every day with fun updates and loads of pictures for us to see our girls. Our 3yr old had a blast running around with her new friend group - jumping in the pool and exploring the expansive grounds. Our 14yr old, whom we were worried about leaving, spent time in the yard with her older peers, and rested on the porch or inside for some quiet time. We were able to enjoy our vacation without worry, knowing they were in such good hands and in a safe environment. TL and her partner opened up their home and welcomed our girls like they were their own. They catered to each dogs individual needs and made sure they were well taken care of. We couldn't have found a better place for them to be while we were away, we will definitely be back!
If I had a place like this close to my home in Illinois I would have no fears about leaving our dog to go on a trip! I cannot say enough good things about Iva's Place and Tracy, the owner. We were in town on vacation and needed somewhere to bring our dog for the day and I had never brought our Golden Retriever to a daycare before and was so nervous. After talking to Tracy on the phone and making sure our dog had all the required health checks, she insisted on doing a meet and greet/tour before moving forward to make sure it would be a good fit. I loved that she was so thoughtful about making sure my dog and the others she was caring for would all get along before saying yes. The property is wonderful and our Mischa had such a great time! I will definitely be bringing Mischa back again the next time we are in town!
Iva’s Place was recommended to us by our groomer as we were looking for a home away from home for our 14 yr old pup. She never did well in traditional boarding situations (caged most of the time). The environment that TL has created at Iva’s Place is truly remarkable. She has opened up her heart and home to provide the best care for your pup just as if they were her own. She has an amazing property and plenty of dog friendly spaces to accommodate any special needs you and your dog may need. Her communication efforts during our time away were remarkable and comforting. We received photos throughout the day and message updates. She and her support team took any worry away while we were traveling and as a result our human getaway was even more enjoyable. TL even followed up with us after Sophie was home 2 days later to check on her transition. Another thing we appreciated was the fact our dog is on medication and is attached to her routine, TL was sensitive to these needs and made sure Sophie felt like she was part of the pack from the very start! Our recommendation—Go on vacation, and while you’re at it book a vacation for your dog as well…. at Iva’s Place.
TL loves our Junie like she’s her own! She lets her sleep with her in the bed! She gives us several updates a day with photos. Her place is awesome and the doggies have so much room to run around.
Beau recently had his first overnight at Iva's Place. We were so impressed with the care he received, as well as the communication from TL! There were text updates with pics throughout his stay, and it really put our mind at ease to see he was having a good time. TL has a very good handle on dog behavior and care, and she obviously has everything under control. :) Beau is looking forward to a longer stay in a couple of weeks!
Me and my husband absolutely LOVED this place!! We were very worried about boarding our little June because of a terrible previous experience with another facility, but Tracie Louise and her partner were wonderful with our dog! They treated her like their own as soon as we dropped her off, and she had a BLAST; they sent us multiple updates with pictures during the day, and our dog improved so much in her chewing training in just three days of boarding! (which I’m really grateful for lol) We will for sure board June again at Iva’s Place, and I highly recommend this to everyone that is very protective and anxious about their dog dog because for the first time me and my husband were able to relax for a weekend without a single worry!! Thank you so much, we will see you very soon! 😊❤️
Came in from LA with my protective dachshund, Bernie, to visit my parents with their 2 rambunctious (and loveable) labs. Rather than having a confrontation at home, I was recommended to Iva's Place and hoped that the socialization and expansive yard would do wonders for my anxious dog. Sure enough, Bernie blossomed! He became fast friends with Otis, a bloodhound easily 3x his size. When I came to pick Bernie up, Otis stayed at the fence until we drove away. In LA, Bernie lunges at every dog we pass on walks, so having a hound buddy surpassed any expectations. None of this would be possible without Tracie Louise's supervision and love for the dogs. I reached out to her about a month in advance to submit paperwork and all that, but ended up just chatting about dogs via text. She was always extremely responsive and enthusiastic. Even for Michigan, the location feels pretty out there, but the signage, attention to detail with no-escape fenced in yard and tranquility of being in the woods made it feel like a doggie paradise. I can't thank TL enough for making me feel at ease and helping Bernie gain some more confidence. And now, some pictures of the greatest love story ever told: Bernie & Otis
We're very grateful to have found Iva's place. The owners are exceptional, and the property is absolute dog paradise. Our high energy Australian Shepard, Lab, Pitty, Cane Corso mix puppy has the absolute best time meeting new doggy friends, chasing her buddies around, playing in the pool, exploring the grounds, and generally living most of her day outdoors. She leaped out the car window upon our last arrival, and she always returns extremely happy (and all tuckered out). I'm super thankful the dogs can roam + sleep wherever they please, and I'm very grateful for TL's attention to eating + behavioral quirks. The daily photos are an appreciated personal touch, plus you receive a detailed report card after every stay. 10/5, cannot rate highly enough!
I would reccomended Iva's Place to everyone with enthusiasm!! My 2 pups (Creme Golden Retriever and German Shepard) stayed here this past weekend while we were away for a wedding. It was the first time I have ever been away from my girls overnight, and I was very nervous. TL sent me frequent pictures and updates on how they were doing and it put my worries at ease to see how much fun they were having! They were able to run and play with new friends, but most importantly for me, they were in a home environment where they could play and rest where they liked (not crated or in a kennel). TL loved my babies like she would her own while we were away! We had looked at other places before finding Iva's place and I loved that my girls could receive love and care here without additional charges- it just comes with the stay! ❤️. It's a little bit of a drive for us, but worth it knowing my pups are safe and loved while I can't be with them.
These guys are fantastic! They are so accommodating, and go above and beyond to make things happen for your schedule. My dog Tilly gets excited to go; everyone (including the cats) is so friendly with her. They’re very thorough; when I pick her up she’s shiny clean, soft, nails trimmed well…she looks and feels great. Thank you!!!
My 2 dogs stayed there for 2 nights. One came back with respiratory infection and the other with her mouth split open from getting bit or scratched. The wound was left untreated and is now infected. What a terrible traumatizing experience. Not to mention they will never answer your call. Strongly do not recommend
Great place and affordable!! Definitely, a very trustworthy establishment. They boarded my puppy and gave him a bath and nails trimmed. Very happy
Have dealt with these folks for decades with numerous dogs! They are very caring and take good care of our animals for grooming and housing!
My family has used Melanie for years, with multiple dog breeds needing various levels of grooming. Just recently took my rescue Pomsky in for a full grooming and she has never looked better. Would recommend their services to anyone!
Mel & Company have done wonders for my little dog Mayvis! (Rescued, unsocialized and frightened Yorkie Mix) Not only does Mayvis always look beautiful once they have groomed her; she views them as part of her pack. They are also the only place I know ,in this area, who live in the same building that also house the kennels so they always know what is going with your pup. They are a family owned business and see your pets as part of their family! A special thanks! Mayvis & Gracie
We are relatively new to the area and used this place three times. The last time our dog was returned after we paid and he had a gouge in his fur. When I called back to find out what happened I was told by the owner, Melanie, that “well, I didn’t just wake up this morning, look at my calendar and decide to screw up your dog’s grooming. It was an accident! It happens!” No offer of an apology until I asked for one. Charged me full fee of $95 and suggested that, if I wasn’t happy with that she would cancel our next appointment and I could never return to her shop. Wow! So, we found another experienced groomer, Stay & Obey ($75), and I called and cancelled. Beware. She has and attitude and doesn’t like to be held accountable.
Dropped my dog here for only a couple days. My dog is cut up, they apparently didn’t notice anything (???) Don’t bring your dog here unless you HATE them.
Love them. And they love my Mistletoe she always looks so good and so happy.
Always very great with my tea cup. She’s only three pounds and loves going there and gets excited every time I take her! Staff is very friendly and they treat her with tender loving care ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
If you need someone to trust with your dog, I recommend Deb! She has such passion for dog caring and her house is designed for the care of her and your animals!
Great care for dogs!!!
Took wonderful care of my greyhounds.
