We were lucky to have Sean take care of our dog, Manfred, a French bulldog who loves to rest and soak up the little sun on these winter days. From the first moment, Sean gave us a lot of confidence, showing a genuine love for animals. Although our dog is quite calm and does not need much activity, Sean was excellent company for him. Sean made sure that Manfred was comfortable and happy, respecting his relaxed pace and enjoying the moments of sunshine together. In addition, he kept us informed with photos and daily updates, which was a great relief while we were away. Additionally, Sean was kind to the dogs in the neighborhood. He even became fond of a little dog in the neighborhood, with whom he went for a run in the park and helped her find a new home, since the owner could not keep her in the best conditions. When we returned home, we found our dog happy, well cared for and in perfect spirits. Sean really understood our dog's needs and treated him with great affection. The house was clean and tidy and we felt his kindness when we returned from our trip. In the short time we spent with him, we had the chance to get to know an intelligent and great conversationalist man whose travel experiences are enriching and it is enjoyable to spend time with him. We recommend Sean without hesitation. He is responsible, affectionate and cares about the well-being of animals, even the quietest ones.

Jeff and Sylvie were excellent sitters for both Lola our dog and the house. They communicated in advance really well and came around to run through the sit and aspects of the house. They kept us informed during the sit and clearly Lola was enjoying their company and normal life at home (rather than having to be elsewhere). Jeff & Sylvie did an outstanding job of leaving our house super tidy and wonderfully clean. They very kindly even left us a meal in the fridge knowing we were getting back late with the kids. Would really recommend them to anyone and also welcome them back to our house. We wish them safe travels and hopefully see them again soon!

We met with Gill and Clive prior to our trip and were very happy. They were very friendly and engaging and our dogs instantly bonded and played. Gill and Clive arrived on the day of our trip as planned and provided updates every couple of days during our trip, putting our minds at rest. Upon our return, our house was very clean and tidy and Gill had very kindly provided us with some basic essentials (bread, milk & eggs). Our dogs were happy and it was clear they had been very well cared for. We could not recommend Gill and Clive any higher to other zeewoi members.

Jeannette was the absolute best pet sitter anyone could ask for! She was communicative and easy going. She took very good care of the house, but most importantly she took superb care of my dog, Bodhi. She took him on long walks and fun adventures everyday. While I was out of the country, I received pictures and updates of their "vacation". I loved seeing Bodhi's and Jeannette's smiles in all the photos. Farhan is a fantastic house sitter! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a down-to-earth, kind, and caring pet sitter for their home. We have three small dogs (around 6 lbs) and he took excellent care of them. They can be a little nervous/ timid around new people, and more so around men at times, but the dogs didn't show any of that nervousness around Farhan! He was gentle and respectful of their space and they warmed up to him immediately. I got a wonderful text the first morning that I was away that they cuddled up with him at night - showing how quickly they adjusted to him as their caretaker. I was able to meet Farhan in person before I left on my trip and I was able to have a wonderful conversation with an ambitious explorer. He is a delightful person. Upon my homecoming the house was very clean and the dogs were happy and relaxed. I can't ask for anything more! Thank you Farhan for taking such wonderful care of our three dogs and our home.

From the beginning they were absolutely brilliant. They listened to all my concerns with leaving my pups and discussed them when I dropped them off. Picking them up they both came out very happy and smelt lovely too, they had lovely walks and lots of cuddles from the staff 🥰. Second time using hilltop and wouldn't use anywhere else. Very friendly and my girlies seem to be very happy here. On pick up they come back healthy and well cared for and they even gave them both a wash and shampoo so they didn't come home smelling of kennels. One of my girls had an upset tummy the day before collecting they adapted her food to help settle it and told me about this for awareness. Womt put my girls anywhere else.

Our boy Reggie (GSD) loves his time at Hilltop. It quite often feels like he’s having his own holiday, when we have ours. Reggie can be a very nervous dog, more so around men, in his first stay, Hilltop accommodated that a girl needed to take him in. But later in the day, the owner Simon, went into Reggie’s kennel and took the time to let Reggie become comfortable with him, which meant so much to us. The girls love him and spoil him with kisses & cuddles which I love. Hilltop always do their best to accommodation bookings etc and we always grateful for that. We have tried lots of different kennels but always come back to Hilltop, even though it is a 4hr drive from our house since we moved. We trust them with our boy & they listen to our concerns or what we want such as feeding requirements, cuddles, pictures, and no shampoo washing etc and are more than happy to do so. Thank you Hilltop for looking after our boy! We also use Hilltop food 🦴🐾🐕🐶

We used Hilltop for the first time, our two dogs had never boarded previously and have been pampered over the years. The staff were just brilliant and knowledgeable, they treat your pets as if they are their own. They even shared some pics with us whilst we were away. Will definitely use the doggy Hotel when we next need too!
Our 2 rescue dogs have stayed at Hilltop Boarding Kennels, several times a year, for many years now. I wouldn't want to have to use anywhere else. They love the staff and never seem to care when we drop them off. Always walk off to the kennels without a backward glance. The staff are so friendly & take such good care of our 2 dogs. They always come home happy & clean, smelling like talcum powder 😊 Thank you for always taking care of our fur babies.
We’ve just recently used Hilltops for two family dogs but boarded separately. Both so well looked after! And both completely different personalities but catered for in every way. It was so nice they could still be socialised but not have to stay together.The update pictures made us feel so relieved and reassured they are having a fab time! Also bathing and washing bedding before collection was such a lovely touch! Staff are so friendly and care so much for all the dogs. Would use again and recommend to anyone!!

I have sent my puppy Buddy (almost 10 months) to Simon & Leah twice for home boarding & am really happy with the service they provide. My dog is a lab & at times can be hard work as he is still young and in training, Simon & Leah are great with him, follow his daily schedule best they can & know exactly how to cater for his needs. Their dog Koda is great with Buddy, they go on walks by the beach & he always comes home super sleepy after having so much fun. From the moment we met Simon and Leah we knew we were putting our puppy in safe hands. Betsy was a 6 month old Newfoundland with an abundance of energy like all puppies do. Simon and Leah’s calming dedicated nature immediately put our minds at rest. Betsy attends daily walks and once a week day care. Because of the lock down we were unable to socialise Betsy in the normal manner so her interaction with other dogs when with Simon and Leah has become invaluable and her confidence and recall have improved immensely. Betsy now waits by the door each morning ready for them to arrive. I feel blessed to have found Simon and Leah and I can’t thank them enough for the love and care they give Betsy every day.

Simon and Leah are completely professional, before starting regular boarding for me, they met with me to discuss, what I needed when I needed it and discussed in detail about my dog and her needs. She always looks forward to seeing them! I do drive to Colchester for home boarding but I wouldn't trust anyone else to take care of my dog. Friendly, reliable and caring!
When I met Simon and Leah I knew they were the right people to trust with my doggo. For the last month Diego has had a 1 hour weekly morning walk with them. Sarah is just amazing. I took my puppy, Samson to Sarah’s training classes and we did really well. When Samson was about 1 year old, he just lost all common sense and recall! We went back to Sarah for a 1 to 1 and learn some techniques to get him back on track. They worked well and he now has great recall. Over the last 2 years she has looked after Samson when we have been away and I am always happy to leave him in his “home from home” as I know he is settled and so well looked after. I requested some additional training while he was boarding during our last holiday and he came home all trained up as requested. Sarah and her family are just amazing with the dogs and the love and care they provide. I can not recommend her highly enough as a professional trainer and for boarding.
My dog Benji has done agility with Sarah for 3years he loved it but sadly had to retire him through arthritis but we have come back and have started scent work which he loves and I do too ! great teacher friendly people and dogs

I’ve been taking dog agility lessons from Sarah for the past 2 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Myself and both of my dogs absolutely love the training that Sarah give us - she’s always absolutely spot on in identifying and correcting any mistakes I make and following her advice works every time. She is a lot of fun to be with and my dogs get visibly excited when they see her. She makes training fun (and addictive!!). Can’t recommend highly enough.
My 2 collies are with Sarah for agility training. She is excellent,very experienced and caters for all dog abilities,my younger one started at12 months. We thoroughly enjoy our time there in a safe,secure environment,would 100% recommend.
Sarah is so good with my girl who can be quite intense with other dogs . She always sends pictures and I never worry about hettie when she is with them. Sarah also teaches us agility and this is endless hours of fun . I now even have started competing. I can never say thank you enough to Sarah she is a true dog lady ❤
We do agility with Sarah and my dog loves it! Great training, and loads of fun..Also dog socialising and puppy training have been very informative, with expert tips to follow, videos watch , with follow on training if needed. Highly recommend .
Sarah’s love & experience of dogs is clear as soon as you meet her. Her varies classes cater for everyone & their dog’s abilities. Classes are very informative with videos & on going support. Maggie has also stayed at Sarah’s for the odd day & for weeks holidays for the last 5 years, I know I can relax on holiday knowing Maggie is in great hands & having fun. I can thoroughly recommend.
I have two dogs Archie & Maximus (brother’s) They both suffer with anxiety and trust issues around people. We have been doing agility with Sarah for almost a year now and she has been so supportive, patient and encouraging, especially with Maximus because he would easily get distracted. Sarah worked with Maximus at his own pace and now he is so relaxed, he listens and really enjoys his time at Sarah’s Agility School. I would highly recommend Sarah because she is definitely gifted with her agility training and skills.
We are lucky to have Sarah for both day care for our boys and agility training. The boys love her and her family and always come back from their stays knackered and happy. We know they have a great time, they are loved & safe and it's a real home from home for them. Also love the updates we get on what they have been up to!

Exceptional service each and every visit, we have 4 cats and each one gets individual love, cuddles & attention. They always send amazing photos and updates after each visit too. I would not use anyone else to look after our gang, and I am sure they all look forward to seeing, Emma, Laura or Tasmin and getting all the fuss from them. Im so pleased Laura was available to help with our 3 cats whilst we went on holiday. We got daily photos and updates and the cats seemed really happy with her company. The cats have supplements too which she added to their diet. Would definitely recommend!
Having booked a holiday it was a worry as to getting our 6 cats 2 guinea pigs and parrot looked after.. My friend gave me the contact details of Laura's Paws 🐾 they were outstanding.. Had daily updates with photos of our fur babies 2 visits a day.. All our cats are senior and one need medication.. Laura and Emma were absolutely fantastic and had lots of lovley chilled fur babies when we came home.. We have already booked with them again for later in the year..

I recently booked Laura to care for my dog and cat while I was away for 4 days. While I was away, she sent me pictures and gave regular updates. When we returned my anxious dog was relaxed and happy, as was my cat. I would 100% recommend Laura and would absolutely book her again when the need arises! Fantastic value for money.
We are so thrilled to have found Laura’s Paws and wouldn’t want to leave our dog with anyone else now! Our dog is the type to whine at the door to get back to his beloved home comforts after 3 days on a staycation, so to be able to go away and leave him where he’s happiest is a huge thing for us. We always get plenty of pupdates and are completely relaxed in the knowledge that he’s safe, very well looked after and happy. Not to mention that we always find the house exactly as we left it and they go above and beyond to make sure the little things are done (like the bins!) which is always v appreciated. We’ve used Laura’s Paws for holidays, hourly house calls if we have to be out for the day and walks and they’re always extremely reliable and communicative. Our dog absolutely loves the team and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Our cockerpoo absolutely loves Laura and gets so excited whenever she sees her. Laura is really professional, friendly and reliable and we've been really impressed with how important professional development is to her. She is always completing courses to keep up to date and further her knowledge about all sorts of things related to pet care. My Dog absolutely loves going to see April and always comes out looking and smelling amazing. I have complete faith leaving my fur baby in Aprils capable and caring hands. You can tell that the dogs are really pampered and looked after when in April's care. Highly recommend April to everyone for all their beloved pets grooming needs.
Saxon had his first day at day care ever and he totally love every minute of it. I'm very picky who I leave my fur baby with but felt totally relaxed leaving Saxon with April. Saxon can be a little shy with people but already totally loves April. If you want someone who treats your dog like their own and is more than fair price then April is the person for you 💕💕. Great service. Martha always loves her trips to see April. Helps so much with the shedding! Anyone with a German shepherd or a mix I would recommend a trip!

Amazing! We can’t thank April enough for her help with our rambunctious boxer puppy. We were turned away from Colchester Canine Crèche as, in their words, she has ‘no manners’ (so, in other words, a boxer puppy!) but April was to the rescue and has helped so much with socialising Hank, getting her used to other dogs and also reassuring us that, although excitable, Hank is still a sweetie! We feel so lucky to have found April Time. One very happy Hanky, and very happy mummy and daddy! April took this lovely picture - look how much fun Hank is having! This says it all!
I have a rather timid, anxious dog. Often reluctant to walk with others. But a good judge of character! April was new to Georgie but she took to her straight away. The best kennels in the area, our dog loves to spend time here and always gets plenty of exercise and attention from the staff. The security of the site is second to none so we always have peace of mind when we are away. We couldn’t recommend them enough!
Amazing holiday stays for my two dogs. The attention of care and warmth is so good. My dogs are always happy. No signs of stress, they eat well and love the field to run around in. Highly recommend.
This Boarding kennels is brilliant, I definitely would not want to take my pomeranian anywhere else. Nice family atmosphere, lovely people, being coming here for about 3 years now. We got our dog from a breeders just before the pandemic so we could not socialise her, which has made her scared of Adults and children that she doesn't know, and other dogs as well. They have been so good with her and try and understand and play with her, they just go that extra mile. So you will definitely be in good hands if you take your pet there.
We have been using this family run kennel for many years now, and could not be happier with the way our Labrador is cared for by this lovely family. He is so happy to see them when he gets there, and obviously has a wonderful time in one of the many runs they use to exercise and play with the dogs. I would not consider any other place to look after our pet.
The best Kennel in Essex without a doubt! Fantastic clean facilities, highly caring staff and overall excellent care of our dog. Our dog felt like he was on a holiday. Well exercised during his stay and we came back from holiday to one happy satisfied doggo!! Good parking facilities onsite too.
