Andrea was the perfect sitter for our older Italian Greyhound and our shy cat. She followed every request to a “t”, and helped us to feel comfortable and care free for a long zeewoi. The communication of photos and videos were a warm reminder of how well they had been adjusting to our absence. Andrea showed care and consistent compassion for Darcy and Hammy. She seemed to enjoy them and our home as much as us! We returned to an absolutely spotless home, without anything left undone. 5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Janis is absolutely the best pet sitter and home care we have had. She is a regular for us during our Christmas vacation because we totally trust her with the care of our three dogs and the management of our home. She is so good and efficient that I have already requested that she sits for us again next Christmas. Our three dogs absolutely adored her as she played fetch, took them on walks, loved and spoiled them. Management of our home was excellent. I had no concerns whatsoever as we had packages delivered and Mail that needed to be picked up. The house was in much better condition than what we left it. I have been using Pet Sitters Club for over 15 years. They are trustworthy and reliable. We have used them for needed daily walks as well as for lengthy vacations. We always leave detailed instructions and they are always followed. Not only do they take great care of our dogs but they take in the mail, packages, turn on/off lights, water flowers. We have an alarm and they always turn it on and off correctly I would not trust my dogs or house with anyone else! A+++

Highly recommend NYC Pet Services! I boarded my two dogs - my little senior Shih Tzu and my energetic Doodle rescue puppy - for four nights for the first time. I received frequent photo updates each day and the team was incredibly communicative. The team even gave them both a bath before pickup. My dogs been snoozing since getting home - a tired dog is a happy dog! I’ll definitely be using their boarding and daycare services in the future!
NYC Pet Services is the best daycare and boarding a pet parent could ask for. We had to leave our six month old puppy for the first time, and he had such a blast at boarding - receiving updates and photos multiple times each day made me feel so much less anxious, and I was so happy to see he was having such a good time. He made so many friends, and is so happy - he loves daycare so much! Everyone who works here is so wonderful, and truly cares about your pet - highly, highly recommend for anyone looking to leave their baby at the best daycare or boarding place.
Most affordable daycare in Astoria and worth it! They even plan a schedule like a child daycare! Staff sends photos and gives important updates on those days/times that you can't be with your pup. Hoping eventually for that puppy streaming service to check in, but until then, this will have to do :)
Grooming Review ! I’ve had my labradoodle for two years now and I’ve tried two other groomers in Astoria in the beginning and by far Jenn (@itsgroomsbyjenn) has been the BEST ! When she switched locations we had to follow her to her new spot. Not only does Jenn listen to how you want your fur baby’s cut, she is also the sweetest person I’ve met. I have never left disappointed after a cut, it has always been perfect. Even when I tell her not to cut the tip of my dogs tail “fur” she listens (white tip on tail). I can easily trust her by leaving my little one with her. If I can give more than 5 stars I would !
This was the first daycare we looked at and we have no complaints. Yogi started at 3 months old and is now 5 months old. He goes 4 times a week for half days and he runs there every day once we are on the same block. He absolutely loves Beth, Laura, and Juan. They are his day care family. They are all very friendly and very tentative to Yogi. We watch on the camera and Olga is very fast with cleaning up after all the dogs. I love all the pics and videos they send us everyday he is there. Yogi always has a smile on his face!
We recently moved to Astoria and were looking for a daycare for our 1 year old Golden. Boy are we glad we chose NYC Pet Services! We can’t say enough great things, especially about Beth, Jose, and the whole crew supervising the dogs. Not to mention all the awesome pictures we get of Reggie throughout the day. It’s like having a daycare and professional photographer all in one!!
This is the best doggy day care! Our dog loves this place . The staff is friendly and very helpful. They have so many monthly activities for the dogs. It’s nice to have a place to bring your dog where they can play and interact with other dogs in a fun and safe environment. You can book grooming services as well as book to have them watch your pet while you are out of town!
I have followed Jenny from another grooming place because that’s just how good she is. My dog is not the most easy to work with and Jenny puts him at ease and I think he’s finally starting to come around to the whole grooming thing. It feels so good to know that when I leave my dog is in the best hands. Super affordable and she’s so quick! Definitely recommend. I’ve included a before and after below :)

NYC Pet services provides the best boarding service in NYC area. I travel a lot and have used many bording services in NYC and out of state for my 9 month old Beagle pup but this place is so far the best in providing updates and answering questions quick. Really disappointed. Uneven cut, some spots were long and some were way too short. Ears were also uneven. And, I was charged extra for my dog being “matted” when he gets regularly washed, brushed, and groomed by another groomer that has never said there’s an issue with matting.
I have been coming to get my dogs groomed here for years! Brian is so friendly and accommodating! My dogs always come out smelling and feeling great!
Always take my dog here to get her nails trimmed. Great customer service who is patient with my not-so-easy to handle dog. Store also has all of the dog and cat products you could think of!
We have been going to Spock & Elvis for at least 15 years and they are the BEST groomer there is, and a terrific pet supplies store. Shannon is an EXCELLENT groomer who loves your dog while in her care. We have had 5 poodles over the years and by far she has been the most consistent and skilled groomer ever! She groomed our last standard poodle her entire life, and now grooms our 2 year old mini poodle. We love how she grooms our dogs. She adapts the cut to what you prefer and she always gets it right consistently. I like that my dog is in a playpen not a hard crate while waiting. The pet shop only carries good quality toys and foods. We have gotten the best toys and raincoats, collars, and doggie shampoo. Mostly all made in USA or Canada. I have had only good experiences here, and we have been using Spock & Elvis for the past 15+ years! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Thank you to Brian & Shannon for always taking such good care of our fur babies!
All I can say is that Spock & Elvis should be your go to for your pets grooming needs. They are the best! My dog Teddy always comes back looking so good and smelling so fresh. We have been going here for more than 10 years and cannot complain. They are very caring and take good care of my Teddy!
They did a great job; however, beyond expensive for a puppy haircut and expect them to change the price of the estimate when they see the dog for the first time. I would go in before to get a set price before the day of haircut. Took 6 hours for a first puppy cut (small dog, under 10 lbs) and they charged $110 cash only. Insane! Will not be returning.
Been coming here for a few years now. My dog always looks and smells great when she comes out. And above all seems to be in a much better mood then she was after her last groomer.

We were in a real jam. Our arrangements for our five month old bernedoodle fell through before a one week vacation. Not only were Zach and Dana gracious enough to help us and our dog Wilco, they cared for him as if he was their own dog. We received daily updates, photos and videos. Wilco was happy and safe and we were able to enjoy our vacation. Do not hesitate to hire Zach and Dana should the need arise. We will always turn to them first when we need a safe, reliable and comfortable home in which to board our dog. This family is reliable loving and kind.
I went on vacation and this was the first time I had to leave my pup Zoe with someone I did not know very well. I set up a meet and greet with Heather and it went very well. Heather was absolutely fantastic with my Zoe girl!! She took care of Zoe like she was her own. Zoe got a lot of attention, play time and was taken on walks too. Heather made me feel very comfortable and sent me info, pictures and videos every day on Zoe while I was away. I felt so relieved! 😌 Zoe needs assistance with stairs and Heather was very accommodating - she carried Zoe up and down the steps to her huge back yard and she gated her inside staircase too. Zoe had a blast on her vacation with Heather and got along well with her dog Herbie - what a cutie pie he is! I highly recommend Heather and I cannot thank her enough for making my vacation even more enjoyable knowing my pup was in good hands!!

When you leave your puppy and go to pick him up and you get that look like “wait I’m having too much fun” you know that you’ve made the right choice. The Davidson’s who own this location treated our puppy as if he was theirs. Our dog is only 7 months old and this was his first “sleep over.” A welcome relief to know we now have a family run business to trust when we need a place to care for our 4 legged child. Highly recommend you give these folks a chance to earn your trust.
Our pup Lenox has the best time with IHPS!!! All summer long, we were able to drop him there and enjoy the day at the beach. They constantly sent pics and videos. It was evident that he loved his time there. It’s so nice to know that he was being treated like family. I would not hesitate to recommend them to all dog owners!
