Experienced and loving home and pet sitter - specializing in long sits
Jamie was a fantastic sitter! Before I left, we met twice to discuss my cats’ care. They had clearly read my instructions carefully and had a ton of relevant experience. During the sit, Jamie sent daily updates and pictures. I have a cat with health issues - they sent regular updates regarding his health, administered medication as needed, and checked in when they had questions. The cats clearly took to them quickly. I came back to happy and healthy pets and an apartment that was cleaner than when I left. I’d highly recommend Jamie!

Explorer looking for animals to love and care for on my travel journey.
Anna was a fantastic sitter. She was a great communicator both before and during the stay, and I got lots of great updates with pictures and videos while I was gone. The house was left spotless. Would love to have Anna stay again.

Down to earth travelers & pet lovers. WE can't wait to meet you and your pets!
Amanda and Rich are such an amazing, kind and understanding couple. Unfortunately our trip got canceled last minute, but we still invited them to stay with us, if they wanted too. And we are glad they did! We did decide to do a one night getaway to give them some alone time. Gabbie was so happy with them...she went on nice walks, had great snuggles and enjoyed spending time in her backyard with them. Charlie and I didn't worry one moment while we were gone. When we returned, Gabbie would run upstairs every morning to find her new friends. That lets us know she was well loved while we were gone. The evening they left, they had already washed the sheets/towels, re-made the bed, cleaned the bathroom and left everything perfect. We are very grateful Amanda and Rich decided to still do this sit despite us not going on travel. We met wonderful people who are now our friends. Now if we can just get them to move to Charleston :) In sum: Secure Amanda and Rich for your next sit. Your pet will be loved!

Mark & Deb
What do you say about the repeat house sitters who are already perfect? We were lucky enough to secure Mark and Deb for a 2 month stay. They have sat for us multiple times before, so there was no second guessing (and a little yip of excitement from me and our kitty) when their offer to sit came through. Mark and Deb are great at communicating, very reliable, and fantastic at pet care as seen by multiple pictures showing Ricky being played with and sitting in their laps (we were a little jealous) while we were away. I think Mark and Deb are true cat lovers. A 2 month sit means real life living, not just a few days or a week. I mean they had to eat and shower, right? We came home to a house that was so neat and clean we couldn't tell they were there except for the notes they left behind. They reached out with questions or concerns, let us know when packages arrived, took out the garbage, did all the asks like plant watering and filling bird feeders outside, and took great care of our little Ricky. If you're lucky enough to get them, go for it. Mark and Deb are always welcome at our house.

Paul was an amazing sitter for our cat, Coco. Coco is particular and Paul handled her beautifully. We came back to a spotless home and Coco was a well-cared for cat. We highly recommend Paul.

Mother & daughter seeking memories with furry friends and people in spring 2024
What can we say about this lovely family?! We had the pleasure of having Sarah, Xavier and their adult daughter Caroline take care of our 3 doxies, and home for 2 weeks while we were in Italy. We fell in love with them from our first zoom meet to the sad goodbye when we returned. We came home to happy tail wagging pups and a spic and span home. Sarah sent us updates with photos that helped to make our trip fun and worry free. We can not recommend this wonderful trio enough. You may not get lucky enough to get the 3 of them together, but even as a pair, or single sitter you can't go wrong! Thank you again Sarah, Xavier and Caroline, we can't wait to have you back!

Empty nesters who want to care for your babies
Jaci and Jerry were delightful and resilient sitters. We were off-line (in a remote area) for most of the week we were away and unable to communicate so they HAD to figure things out for themselves, and they did. On top of that, our power went out 24 hours before we returned, but they rolled with it even though I know it wasn't easy. I know the dogs were well loved and well taken care of in our absence, and the house was tidy and in order. All good!

I'd welcome Aundrea back to house/pet sit for me any time. She's cheerful, personable and competent. She took great care of the animals and took time to share some photos of their adventures together. On returning, the house was clean and tidy. Five stars for sure.

Amanda was the perfect housesitter and pet sitter for our cat. She is organized and communicative, and took care to ensure she understood the guidelines for taking care of our home and our cat. She left our house in perfect condition and we returned home to one happy kitty! Would not hesitate to have Amanda housesit for us again or recommend her to others looking for a sitter.
I have nothing but great things to say about Jill! She’s a wonderful sitter and I felt so comfortable leaving my dog and cat in her capable hands while I was out of the country. She was thorough in making sure she knew exactly what each pet needed, had excellent communication, and provided me with daily updates. I came home to a house that was even tidier and more organized than when I left and two very loved pets. I would highly recommend Jill to anyone looking for a kind, caring, consistent pet sitter. Thank you so much Jill!!!
Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! We absolutely loved hosting Lisa and Sara and highly recommend them, they are some of the best sitters we have ever had and they're welcome back anytime!!
Mary Jessica was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our GIANT dog Mamma Mia. She took extremely good care of our house with it cleaner than we left it upon our return. Our neighbors remarked on all the walks she gave Mamma and Mamma seemed very pleased with the entire experience. Mary Jessica was self sufficient, needing very little instruction outside of our Welcome Guide. She followed everything I wrote and asked how much communication I’d want. I’m very pleased and would both recommend her and love to have her again.
Sharon was by far the best sitter I’ve ever had! From the very first time we connected, she was communicative and proactive with follow up. She asked great questions prior to her stay and I could tell she’s done this many times and that she genuinely cares about the pets and homes she cares for. Sharon went above and beyond to leave my house in ever better shape, cleaning and organizing. It was a dream to come home to! Thank you Sharon!
Andrea was the perfect sitter for our older Italian Greyhound and our shy cat. She followed every request to a “t”, and helped us to feel comfortable and care free for a long zeewoi. The communication of photos and videos were a warm reminder of how well they had been adjusting to our absence. Andrea showed care and consistent compassion for Darcy and Hammy. She seemed to enjoy them and our home as much as us! We returned to an absolutely spotless home, without anything left undone. She thought of everything related to us and our pets, so we could have a seamless late evening return. We highly recommend Andrea for any zeewoi, as she is a jewel. Anyone looking for a “perfect” sitter would be lucky to have Andrea as a trustworthy, considerate and kind person to care for their pets and home.
Exceptional Pet Sitters - Highly Recommend Diedre and Keith! I am thrilled to leave a glowing review for our trusted house and pet sitters, Diedre and Keith. They took exceptional care of our long-haired cat, Molly, and our home during our absence. Everything went incredibly smoothly, and their communication was top-notch. Dierdre and Keith provided regular updates, including delightful pictures of Molly, which put our minds at ease while we were away. Upon our return, it was evident that Molly had been well cared for and was content. The genuine love and understanding Diedre and Keith have for both dogs and cats was apparent in their interactions with Molly, and it was clear that they had made her feel comfortable and secure in their care. Their friendly and professional demeanor made the entire experience truly enjoyable. In addition to taking great care of our beloved pet, Diedre and Keith ensured that our home was in excellent condition upon our return. They even went the extra mile by informing us about the leftovers they left in the fridge, which was a thoughtful gesture. I wholeheartedly recommend Diedre and Keith as exceptional pet and house sitters. Their attentive and caring approach, coupled with their expertise, make them a perfect choice for anyone seeking reliable and trustworthy sitters. Don't hesitate to entrust your home and pets to this fantastic duo!
Ramona and Brandon were the perfect sitters! They rescued me and were very accommodating with my needs. Ramona's communication with me was A1. We spoke multiple times before she arrived and throughout the sit. She was good at keeping me updated and I was very grateful for that, being so far away. The pets gravitated toward them from the moment they arrived and you could see that all she and Brandon wanted to do was spoil the pets with lots of cuddles. My female pup was in heat and they handled that very well and were able to keep her and my male dog separated. I could only imagine how exhausting that may have been but they didn't complain one bit. Ramona and Brandon had to hand over the sit to another sitter and were kind enough to write out the details and everything they observed to make the transition a seamless one. I must say, it helped tremendously. I'd have them back in a heartbeat to sit for me as they showed that I could trust them, not only to take care of my pets but to respect my home they way they would their own. Thanks again for making my trip away worth it!
Jerry and Suzanne were absolutely ideal sitters for our home and pets. We spoke with them ahead of their visit and could tell that they are genuine pet and travel lovers. Over their stay we got to see even more that they are wonderfully friendly, kind, and responsible - plus they kept us laughing with their updates and descriptions of our pets' antics while we were away. Our pets and plants were well loved and our house was spotless upon our return home, and they were even kind enough to leave a few goodies in the fridge. Our dog in particular seemed to miss them and their long walks around the neighborhood. Thank you Jerry and Suzanne! We wish you well in your travels!
Neil and Anne have just sat for us for a second time, for a week. They are outstanding sitters in every way. Always punctual with communication and arrival. They both have responsible jobs and this is evident as they are both very organised. They care very much about the animals they look after. We were regularly sent updates, pictures and video clips of them, which is great to see when you are away. When we came home we were greeted by happy pets and an immaculately tidy house. We cannot recommend Neil and Anne enough. As far as we are concerned they are perfect housesitters! …...Hopefully they will come back and sit again soon!

Happy Days Doggie Camp is the best place our dogs have ever been. The staff is amazing with the dogs, and efficient when dealing with the owners. The facility is top notch and the rates are great. It is truly our dogs "home away from home". Thank you for all you do and don't change a thing!
Left our dogs for a day of daycare and 4 of boarding and they seemed to be so well taken care of. Wish they would share videos/photos/updates but ended up with 2 happy and well taken care of dogs
I was so nervous for River to start daycare since she’s never been before and is older. Day 2 of going and she was as excited for us to pull up to “doggie day camp” as she is for the dog park! What a relief. I chose this facility after touring others because of its cleanliness, the attentiveness of the staff, and how happy the dogs looked in their care. My dog likes nature, so outdoor time was also important. As a previous preschool teacher, I chose my dog’s daycare just as I would’ve a child’s. Highly recommended, River can’t wait to go back
Appears to be a nice place. Clean and friendly staff. The play area looked clean and was more than adequate for dogs to run and play with separate areas for smaller and more mild tempered dogs. This is my first time using them, so unless something odd happens, I can see using this kennel again.
My dog, Lucky and I love this facility. They treat the dogs well and let dogs be dogs. My Great Dane comes home very tired. He gets so excited just pulling into the parking lot.
I can't think of a better place to bring my dog. Happy Days Doggie Camp is clean, safe, staffed with dog-caring people, and affordable. My Aussiedoodle fell in love with the staff right away. She's been a little shy about playing with other dogs, but staff has helped her along the way. She's now making doggie friends. She's truly a happy camper.
Happy Days was recommended to me by my extended family, and it was recommended to them by multiple friends. This place is amazing! Such wonderful customer service. Lacey is a very timid dog and I appreciate that they listened to my concerns regarding that. I will always come here when boarding my dog in Minnesota 😄 thank you! …
Great place for your dog to stay! Whether it be for a day or weekend. Our dog had never been boarded before and happy days worked with him to make him feel comfortable. We got updates when needed and the staff were so friendly towards him and us. Highly recommend!!!
Happy Days Doggie Camp in Rockford, MN is the best. They have very kind and caring staff who go above and beyond for health and safety of pets. We've used them for boarding for multiple Old English Sheepdogs we've had.
We've been taking our dog here for 2 years and have had nothing but great experiences. I've always appreciated how each time we pick her up, the owner has some little tidbit about how she behaved, played, or something she did that stay. Highly recommend giving it a try.
Violet was an absolute delight to work and wonderful for my firat experience with hiring a pet sitter. It is obvious she enjoys her work and has a real affection for other people's pets. She spent an hour each day with my kitten, both playing and snuggling. She was great about sending pics to show me my kitten was happy, healthy and well cared for. She even brought treats and toys to keep her engaged and entertained. She was diligent about food, water and litter on a daily basis, again sending pics, and even offering to get all my trash out on garbage day. I'd hire her again in an instant should I have future needs when I travel. Thank you Violet.
Looks like Loki is just as exhausted from his vacation with Becky at Green Mountain Boarding as we are from our trip to Florida. Becky provides exceptional customer service. I never worry about Loki when he is with Becky. She makes sure he is well cared for and gets lots of playtime.
Becky does a great job at taking care of our fur babies.
Becky and her family really put their hearts into the animals they care for. Years ago, they took my three dogs for an extended stay and they were so accommodating and kind! I would happily recommend this business to anyone looking to board their furry family members. They will be well-loved during their stay!
Becky treats our pups wonderfully. Even though we moved an hour away, we keep coming back.
Great place for your fur pet. Wonderful place with wonderful care.
The dogs had huge smiles at pickup and Becky was delightful to book with!
Love Becky and her facility We have two dogs and had a great experience last weekend and would recommend her to my friends and family
Becky and Jim are wonderful with the dogs. They're love of animals shows in their interactions. A wonderful home away from home.
Tracker is always happy to jump out of the truck, and into the caring facility of Green Mountain Boarding.
The caring, kind owners took great care of my pup for almost two weeks. I will recommend this place to all who seek a good kennel.
Just want to give a big thank you to Maureen and the gals at All Seasons! I’ve been taking my dogs there for over 15 years. I can’t say enough good things about the care and love that they have for dogs. I joke with my friends that my baby is going to the spa whenever I drop her off for daycare or boarding! They showed me care and compassion when my first dog was in the final days of his life. They then helped me with my second dog with her severe anxiety. I feel so blessed to have found All Seasons to provide the highest level of care for my fur baby when I’m not able to be with her. Thank you ladies!!
I absolutely love the love and and caring that we received for our best friend Maggie when we had to be out of town for a wedding last October. Maggie is in her senior years (16 years old) and I was so worried about leaving her. She needed special care and meds and I know that is an added concern, but I was reassured she would be fine and well taken care of. The people that organize and run this Country Club for our pets know how special out best friends are to us. The facility is just great with the play areas and also the special rooms with windows so our pets can see what is going on. They also each have TV's and music in the rooms, stuff I use at home when we are gone. I love this place as I feel they really care for out pets and are concerned for their well being. I would highly recommend All Seasons County Club for you furry best friend if you ever have to be out of town and they cannot be with you! Thank you to all the people that help with the pets here, you do a wonderful job a of making them happy while we are away!! Bette Lynch
Caring people you can really trust with your 4 legged family members! Clean, organized facility and the pups get a fresh bath at check out.
Our dog stayed here for almost a week while we were traveling and he came back very fat and happy but appears he also got kennel cough :( maybe that’s not a big deal but it’s so sad to see him sick- I’ve never had a dog with kennel cough before so not sure how big of a deal it is but it’s not fun.
We have been bringing our dogs here for years. They all treat our dogs like their own dogs. We wont take them anywhere else, they are the best!!!
ASCCC is terrific. We've been taking our dog to there for several years now. He is not the easiest dog to care for. Besides being very high-energy, he is very reactive towards other dogs. He's been like that since they day we got him, and still has issues despite reactive rover training. The staff at ASCCC is incredibly patient with him, and gives him a ton of 1-on-1 attention since he isn't able to play with the other dogs. The owner has even worked with him, introducing him to her own dog over time until he became comfortable with him. Now, our dog has a rare canine companion he is able to explore with when he stays at ASCCC. ASCCC has been helpful in other ways as well. When my wife and I were expecting our first child, we didn't know who would watch our dog since we didn't know when exactly she would be having the baby. To my surprise, ASCCC said they would take care of our dog whenever the time came, even without us knowing exactly when that would be. Solved a major headache for us. Couldn't recommend ASCCC enough. They're awesome. And for what it's worth, whenever we have to drop our dog off, he is clearly excited and happy to be there.
We have been bringing our dog Calvin to Canine Country Club for a few years now, mostly when we go out of town. The staff is amazing, the facility is clean and well cared for and I can tell they really love all the dogs. I feel so good dropping Calvin off for ANY amount of time…he LOVES going there! We’ve tried all the multi-location and franchise companies and none of them compare to Canine Country Club. Thank you for making our Calvin feel like family!
Maureen and her team have been nothing short of fantastic since the first day I brought our previous St. Bernard in over 12 years ago. I can't recall the last time I've seen a price change, and I wouldn't care if it did because it means much more to me to have someone take care of a member of our family as if it was their own.
Every time we go on a vacation or a business trip we leave our dog here. This guys are awesome and that’s the only ‘dog hotel’ that our dog loves. Thank you for a great service. You are the best 👍👍👍 …
This place is just the best. They probably aren’t the cheapest option, and location makes more sense for West Metro than other parts of town. But the staff is incredibly friendly, they know our dog by name, and they are great with special instructions on feeding, medication, etc. We chose them because she gets to play outdoors year-round and the boarding “rooms” are great, since our breed (Wheaten Terrier) doesn’t take well to kennels. They even squeezed us in for a few days when our daughter had to stay in the hospital, even though they were basically at capacity. This is the very best example of a family-run business. Highly recommend!
We brought our 10 week old puppy in for her first haircut, and we couldn't be happier. The staff was extremely friendly and did a terrific job grooming our little pup. If you're looking for an amazing dog groomer, I'd highly recommend bringing your pet to The Spot.
I recently purchased dog food from “The Spot” by Nutrisource a training, boarding, grooming and play care facility here in Rockford, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The quality of the food is exceptional, tailored specifically to meet the nutritional needs of active and well-trained dogs. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and provided valuable advice on choosing the right food for my dog’s specific dietary requirements. The entire process, from selection to purchase, was seamless and professional. It’s clear that they genuinely care about the health and well-being of the dogs they cater to. I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for premium dog food backed by expert guidance!
Chris and the entire team at The Spot go out of their way to make the experience for the dog and owner as good as possible. The check-in process is super easy and quick so it can easily be done on the way into work. The care for the animals is what will have us bringing our dog back. We have done the full-day daycare multiple times and each time she is exhausted from all of the playing. We also get our food and treats there, which is very convenient. Highly recommend The Spot and the NutriSource products!
Was so excited to check this place out as we have 2 dogs with a lot of energy and planned to use for daycare and boarding. We called and asked what to plan for a first day and were told to do a half day of daycare to start so that’s what we did. I came after 3 and half hours and was told one of our 2 dogs hadn’t even been “tested”. We left our dogs in their care on a weekend they could have been home just to find them stressed and sitting in a kennel. I was given no explanation why and have been waiting weeks to hear back since. We have since found another facility in the area who are wonderful. Sad this didn’t work but hope they improve and take care of the people who put theirs pets in this facility. Also we only found out at pickup that there may be cameras and photos. We told them it was our first time at drop off and were told nothing. Very disappointed.
We highly recommend the training package with Rylie for anyone who is looking for help with their dogs. Our 4-year-old rescue, Wrigley, is dog reactive and Rylie gave us so many helpful and personalized training methods and guidance. She not only worked with Wrigley, but also worked with our whole family on how to improve his behavior. He has come so far since our first session and he absolutely loves going to the Spot every week! We have learned so many calming methods and redirection techniques that we now feel comfortable taking him on walks without having to fear unmanageable reactions. Thank you Rylie! We would give more than 5 stars if we could!!
The staff here are into spoiling your dog(s). Highly recommend them for dog boarding. Clean facilities. Check them out for a weekend or longer. You won't regret it.
My dog Loki is a very hard groom. He's been kicked out of other groomers. This place did an amazing job on him and he looks so handsome. I will continue to use their services. Highly recommend.
The Spot literally saved my sanity! My puppy was almost unmanageable. Trainer Rylie has been working with her and I for over three months now and she’s a completely different dog!! The best part is I learned right along with my pup and am able to work with her on my own in between training sessions! Everyone that works at The Spot loves your dog and really cares that you and your dog have an awesome experience. I would 100% recommend The Spot!!!
Chloe, my Aussiedoodle, and I are training with Rylie Stenstrom. It's fabulous. Rylie is teaching Chloe and me so much more than just dog commands. Of course we're learning things like down, place, leave it, etc., but Rylie takes it a step further. Each session Chloe and I improve our communication, grow in confidence, and leave feeling energized & strengthened. Rylie's methods are kind, easily understood, and effective. She loves dogs and really knows how to bring the best out of everyone. I highly recommend training with Rylie and the program she oversees at The Spot.
I dropped in with my dog for a nail clipping and they did a fantastic job. Their facility looks great, so I'll be bringing my dog here for boarding next time too.
We had grooming done and it was absolutely the worst job I’ve ever seen. Here’s the before and after pic. It was cut down to the skin on his legs and all uneven throughout head paws, etc. I would be ashamed to send a dog to their owner, looking like this . I definitely would not get my dog groomed here ever again!!
Our 13-month Golden retriever (Wally) LOVES Fur Baby Barn! He typically goes to doggy daycare here 2x/week. The staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. It’s so comforting knowing our pup is in great care away from home.
Nala our GSD had gone to Fur Baby since she was a pup and absolutely loves coming! She always takes a good long nap when we pick her up from all the fun playtime she had! We absolutely trust them with our girl and she has stayed overnight many times as well. We like the grooming add on too to blow out the extra hair and have her coming home looking and smelling her best!
Fur Baby is amazing. It's very obvious that the staff care deeply about the animals in their care and my boys have been all smiles every time they come back from spending time here.
Our German Shepherd Dog LOVES going to Fur Baby Barn! Would highly recommend!!
I had my dog stay here for 6 days. This was my first time leaving him at an animal facility overnight and I was very nervous as, Leo our dog, is very anxious and attached to me. The staff are all very kind, patient and seemed to really love and care about Leo. Leo did great and had a wonderful time and I was able to fully enjoy my vacation because I knew Leo was very well taken care of and given attention and love. I would recommend this facility to those want a smaller, family- like daycare for their pet. The staff are all wonderful!
We had our golden retriever, Maple, groomed at Fur Baby a couple of times and overall were happy with their work. However, the last time we had her groomed (Aug. 5th), she developed a skin infection. We first noticed lesions on her skin on Aug. 6th and thought it could be from dandruff. On Aug. 7th some of the lesions began to scab and bleed and Maple became lethargic and stopped eating. At this point I texted Fur Baby and asked if they knew anything about the lesions. They were responsive and checked in with their grooming team the next day. None of the team were familiar with the lesions (I had sent pictures) and Fur Baby recommended we take Maple to our vet. During the appointment our vet noted that the kind of skin infection Maple had was most commonly caused by dirty grooming implements, particularly dirty nozzles, or old shampoo. I texted Fur Baby to let them know about the situation. Again, they were responsive and assured me that they would take steps to make sure this would not happen again. I appreciate that they also offered a $180 credit for future services. Unfortunately, the credit does not compare to the $650 in vet visits and medications needed to treat the infection. We have since decided to find a different groomer.
My dog always comes home worn out, happy, and sleeps for 3 days straight. 👍 We take him here for daycare and this is now our #1 choice for boarding also. Tbey know how to deal with all sorts of dog temperments and have even found a way to deal with my reactive doggo. The crew here is experienced and they love what they do.
They are flexible and available to have my Dogs for a day or a week long visit. We've started bringing our Golden to get trimmed up too!. A short country drive to find the place . Be sure to look for the paw prints on the mailbox!
My dog, Happy, goes to Fur Baby Barn every day. She loves it! I think she would be prefer to be there instead of home with me. She runs and plays like I've never seen before. It's good to know that when dropping her off that she is having the time of her life at Fur Baby Barn!
My dogs absolutely love going to this place. The staff always remembers their names when they come in which is a great feeling. We 100% feel they are safe as I know the owner takes their safety very serious. We're super excited for the new place to be ready and I'm sure our dogs are as well!
We had been regular weekly customers of Red Barn for years and always felt that our dog was well cared for by the staff. Unfortunately as the Red Barn has grown, the crowded environment became less than ideal for our aging dog. After an unfortunate incident between my dog and another dog, my dog was left with three puncture wounds on and around her head and the other dog was not physically harmed. While I in no way EVER blamed staff or raised my voice, everyone who spoke with me about the event took a very defensive stance and kept repeating that my dog was the aggressor. It was like they were expecting me to sue them when all I wanted to do was have a civilized conversation after our long standing relationship. Up until last week, I’d have given Red Barn a five star rating. Their complete overreaction to me requesting a phone call from the owner and still not giving it to me is one reason for my rating. The second MUCH bigger reason is that I found it incredibly hurtful and thoughtless that no member of the staff called to check on the status of my dog knowing that she received a serious injury ($400 vet bill) on their watch. Until last week, I’d have given glowing word of mouth reviews to friends. Their lack of communication skills and caring about one of their regular clients has left me cold and with a bad taste in my mouth.
Red Barn Pet Retreat is set on a lovely hobby farm near Maple Grove. Love the setting and how clean they keep it. They are very accommodating and want to make your pet’s stay as successful as possible. The dogs there were very calm. Staff works hard to discourage anxious barking behavior and the temperament test allows them to ensure the dogs in their care are not aggressive. Prices for boarding go by room size and seemed comparable to other places. I liked that the rooms have walls instead of cages to separate the animals and that they get plenty of time to play outside... on actual grass as well as just turf. The only criticism would maybe that they didn’t communicate to us how our dog was doing but when I asked, they did share the info I needed. I’d use them again and recommend to others.
What a fantastic facility and staff, I cannot recommend them enough. We have an energetic German Shepherd puppy, who on days she doesn't go to the retreat needs a jog of about 8-12 miles! The retreat gets her tons of play time and activity and we look forward to her relaxing with us at home after her visits. She is well socialized and the staff work with the dogs every day to further help drive good behavior. The owner is engaged, management and the staff all know our pup's name, and everyone works hard to make sure the dogs have a great day. Best facility, staff, and setup I have ever brought my pup to, highly recommended.
We love Red Barn and have taken our dog here for daytime play and boarding for the past 3 years, ever since he was a puppy. The facility offers amazing outdoor and indoor space, and the ability to request extra walks taken on the land surrounding the barn, which is beautiful. The front desk staff are all professional, have above and beyond communication and are so pleasant to interact with. Our dog can’t get in the building fast enough to see the trainers/staff and other dogs, and is wiped out from all the play at the end of the day. It’s the best to know you’re leaving your animal in the care of people you trust!
The red barn is the best! The staff, environment and fun. Oliver and Brady love their time at the barn and we have total comfort in their safety while in their care.
The only place we will take our Bernie for boarding and daycare. He absolutely loves his time there and we feel he is safe and well taken care of. Thank you!
We are so thankful for Red Barn Pet Retreat for doggie daycare & boarding. Our dog, Murphy, absolutely loves his Red Barn days- he comes home after playing all day so happy! We have also had great experiences with boarding- we know Murphy is in a place where he is well cared for. The Red Barn team is wonderful - I can tell that they love our pups!
Edit; just picked him up and it was so lovely! I can tell he had so much fun (he crashed on the couch so I know he played a lot lol!). I love how they post daily photos on their Facebook page so I know how he’s doing. Definitely will be using them again, thank you for taking good care of him! The place is very clean and the staff seem super friendly, I just dropped off my dog so I know he’ll be in good hands ♥️ The time got mixed up, however I should’ve double checked the email confirmation. I appreciate you guys still taking him in!
I can’t say enough good things or recommend Red Barn enough to all of my dog owner friends. The facilities are kept in immaculate condition. Every time I drop Max off he is greeted by name from all of the staff members. Whether it is daycare or boarding my dog comes home beat tired and it gives me peace of mind knowing he is playing all day as opposed to being kenneled all day. If you drop your dog off make sure you check out their separate Facebook page where they upload daily pictures of the dogs at daycare!
I have brought my two dogs here for boarding a couple times and have been very happy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They truly care about my dogs and provide them with a lot of love and attention. You can tell they are animal lovers and genuinely care about providing the best care for all the animals at the facility. The facility and play area are very nice and clean. Making a reservation is easy and user friendly. I will definitely continue to board my dogs here and would recommend them to others. They really do a great job.
Highly recommend!! I’ve been taking my dog to Oak Ridge for about 7 years now. The care takers are always so kind and sweet to my pup! My doggie gets visibly excited when we pull in for doggie daycare drop off! I am so grateful to have a trusted place for my dog when I travel.
We absolutely loved boarding our dogs here! The staff are the absolute sweetest people you could ever want looking after your pups. We found the rates very affordable, plus it was super easy to make a reservation due to their accessible website and flexibility. Highly recommend boarding your dogs here! We plan to board our two labradoodles at Oak Ridge again in the future!
My dog races out of the car to the door when we arrive at Oak Ridge. She is loved and well cared for by the staff, and we feel confident leaving her with them. Oak Ridge is her home away from home!
Great kennel! I have a reactive shepherd mix and they did a meet and greet with her and got her comfortable. She and her brother love it here. The staff is super friendly and the kennel is clean. They have a great exercise area for the dogs. My only complaint is that my dogs don’t want to leave when it’s time to come home!
Today we picked up our Grand Dog who was at this place for 5 days. Normally when he sees us he gets very excited and is very hyper. He’s a 4 year old Pitbull. He was outside when my husband arrived, Bubba seen him and struggled to get up and walk to him when normally he would run, jump, & bark. My husband put his hand through the fence to pet him and said he was very hot. My husband asked the staff that came out from inside how long he had been outside, they said he was just let out not long ago. They had to walk Bubba around the corner and inside to get him out however he didn’t want to leave my husband, he had to go in and get him. My husband asked how long he had been lethargic, and unlike himself. They said just today and that “he must have a tummy ache or something, he was eating other dogs food.” Once outside by the car my husband had to lift him in to the car because he wouldn’t jump in like normal and we have a car. Bubba couldn’t even walk up the stairs, my husband carried him and laid him in his bed. We gave him the bowl full of water and he emptied it! We filled it again and he drank a little more but hasn’t moved from the bed at all! Someone knocked on our door and he didn’t even bark when normally he would be running all over the place barking. Our Daughter is out of town and told us to monitor him and let her know tomorrow how he’s doing. It was 98 degrees today here in the metro area, if the dogs needed to go out they should have only been out to use the bathroom and brought back in. My husband said he had to have been out longer than just a few minutes as hot as he was! We don’t know what happened to Bubba but we will never be using this place again.
We use Oak Ridge every time we travel. Our boy Finn is always happy and well taken care of when we pick him up.
I used to love the service/care at Oak Ridge. Been taking our dogs here at least 15 years. It hasn't been as top notch since they combined with another boarding outfit. There was recently admitted confusion to feeding amt when I pick up our dog and asked (they didn't call or text to clear up their confusion). I had verbally explained it to the intake person and wrote instructions on the cans to eliminate any confusion with the online instructions. Contacting me to ask would have maintained a 5-star rating. Trying to keep weight on our senior small dog, so a few days of only half food isn't good. Their update text indicated she was eating well, so she most likely would have eaten the other half of her food if it had been fed to her.
My dogs love going here. They are excited to arrive and come home with huge smiles. They are well cared for and recognized by the staff when they come in.
The last two times we kenneled our dog there, he came home with happy tail. One of those times required a visit to the vet and his tail took weeks to heal. They never alerted us and were unaware on both occasions this had happened even though the blood was evident on our walls the moment we got home with him. I don’t know how they could have missed it. I had even asked them to pay extra attention to this the second time we brought him. I called the owner about it, she suggested our dog may have hit his tail on the way out with me and took no ownership and gave no apology. This last time we picked up our dog, he was extremely stressed, had clearly lost weight and frantically drank 3 bowls of water as soon we got home. As far as personal attention goes, it comes at a cost. We felt they nickeled and dimed us for every single thing and it was very expensive. We also didn’t like how we were not allowed to see where our dog would be boarded and that certain services were up to a certain time. To us, that “up to 15 minutes” (for example) could mean 3 minutes, 5 minutes or whatever time not exceeding 15 minutes. Never again.
