Dropped off our pup for the weekend and her stay went so well. They gave us updates with photos and we can tell she really enjoyed her stay. Not only do they take such good care of the animals, but you can tell they really do spend time with them. Our pup isn't the best at playing fetch and they and noticed that along with her other silly behavior. First time bringing her and will definitely be back again, thank you!

Fantastic place to care for your furbaby’s needs. Ollie started daycare here this week. He LOVES it! Comes home and is lazy all evening. Brittney did an amazing job grooming him. He’s been to several groomers since I travel for work, and she seriously did a great job. I even got to see pictures of him while he was being groomed. I love that he was able to get groomed while attending daycare since I work during the week! The hours are nice, so I can run a few errands after work before picking him up. Ollie is excited to play at daycare again next week (:

I have used Buddy Sweets for training, grooming, and boarding. They were so gracious in doing a last minute check in on my baby Cain when I had a medical emergency with my other baby Eris. Even more so when they allowed and early check in for a last minute day care drop in when we had to rush Eris back to the vet and were there for me when I had to make the decision to put Eris down. I trust them with any furry friend and know you can too ❤️

So happy to have a place for my pups to stay at. We moved from San Diego and were worried about finding a place to board our dogs in the valley... we are grateful that Buddy Sweets has given us a peace of mind. They have been reliable, communicative and trustworthy. I've boarded both my dogs a couple of times at Buddy Sweets and they send me pictures during the day and respond quickly to any questions / requests. The registering process is a little time-intensive but I appreciate the depth of questions since it makes me think that they really care about having your dogs complete information in order to give them the best treatment possible. They are animal lovers and my pups seem to have a blast. 100% recommend this place!

The staff is absolutely amazing Brittney. The groomer is the best groomer. Ever he does my dog R. A. GZY and he is almost 14 years old and she has patience of gold. Is so patient with him and so loving. I wouldn't trust anybody but her to do my dog. And when he's when she's done with anthem, he smells so good and looks amazing. I have been a Buddy Sweats customer since 2019. The staff does a wonderful job taking care of my reserved dog Butda while we’re out of town. They provide messages and videos to check in on the pets which also made me feel more comfortable leaving my dog in the warm and caring facility. Buddy Sweets is definitely my to-go place and I genuinely recommend them to all for boarding. Congrats to the facility moving and upgrading to a larger area, even through this hectic pandemic they have strived to maximize with pet care in mind. I took my dog to Salcidos and the staff when I went to pick her up the staff was rude and said “this all I could do for her” and my dog wasn’t her self and was scared for 2 days.

Husband and I took our 2 newest rescues, a 10 month old great Dane/mastiff and an 9 month pit mix for training. They were super energetic and great escape artists.Mike knows what he is doing and teaches through positive reinforcement and teaches owners to act assertive and confident when with your dogs. Highly recommend his services.

Highly Recommended! We've taken several dogs through Mike's dog classes and he has also done petsitting for us. Not sure where the other reviewer got the false information about the 8 yr old minimum. That is not accurate. Give Mike a call.

We are so happy to have found Sunny Pets to care for our dog! We were hesitant to board our dog because we didn't want him to feel like he was going back to the shelter, so the home environment that Sunny Pets provides is perfect. My dog gets so happy when he realizes where we are and I feel so at ease knowing he is lovingly cared for while I'm away.

We were searching for a place where our dog could be comfortable and cared for during longer boardings and are so happy that we found Sunny Pets! ☀️ Our city-living pup had a lifetime of memories touring the dog parks and playing with the other pets in Jon’s care - you could truly tell she had a great time from all the napping she did after her visit! It definitely felt like she had a fun summer-camp stay while we were on our own vacation - a literal breath of fresh air from other boarding options here locally. 🐕‍🦺 We look forward to boarding our pup with Jon again in the future and would recommend Sunny Pets for anyone looking to give their dog a playful and caring experience!

Jon is an angel. They have such a kind spirit and my pup Rufio loves them. The first time I went to drop him off I was worried Rufio would whimper when I left but nope - he happily followed Jon right in the house and didn’t look back (ouch). Jon’s exactly the kind of person you would and should trust your fur babies with.

Can't say enough good things. Jon is very gentle and kind - my dog jumps right out of the car and runs into his house when he boards and jumps right in the van for park days.

Bella has been staying with Jon several times over the past year or so and each time I’m more grateful to have found Sunny Pets! If your dog is like mine, you’ve tried other formats that place dogs in their crates for extended periods and limited outdoor exposure. The experience with sunny pets is the complete opposite and better suited to dogs that need space to roam. Jon takes the pack out for long dog park days and lets them sprawl out on the floor or couch at night. Needless to say, we’re believers in the company as being a safe home away from home for our 9 YO husky. Thank you so much Jon and team!!

We've relied on Jon / Sunny Pets multiple times in the past couple years for our dogsitting needs. Our four-year-old labradoodle has stayed with Jon overnight multiple times and has gone to the occasional park play as well. We appreciate Jon's reasonable and straight-forward pricing, especially his new online booking system! But our dog loves the attention Jon gives him during his stays and all the park and fetch visits!

Jon and Sunny Pets are INCREDIBLE!!! Our Bailey has the best time ever when we have to overnight her for several days here. Jon is constantly sharing updates on Instagram with the activities our pet is doing plus showing us all the new friends she makes during her stay. Once you put in a request for your pet's stay - Jon sends a full breakdown of the price for everything (weekday rate, weekend, holiday, etc.) Nothing is hidden from you and you don't pay until you have a chance to review the full stay of your pet. I can't thank Jon enough for every time Bailey gets to stay and has the time of her life!

I text Jon whenever I need someone to watch my dog for a full day or over night. She is a high energy, smart/stubborn husky mix, and he does great with her. She likes to play with his dogs Ryker and Yuly, and is always excited to see Jon and them. He picks her up from my house and takes her to the park, and uploads some video clips to instagram so I can see how good a time she's having. She always comes home tired, which is good. Jon is super responsive via text. I'd highly recommend Sunny Pets.

Friendly staff and exceptional service! Our pup was super relaxed there and that's saying a lot because we're traveling full time and she gets to meet a lot of different groomers. These people met and exceeded our expectations. Oh, and her cut is super cute too.

Juno was overdue for grooming and after several weeks camping in the desert in Baja, Mexico, she was pretty scruffy, dirty, and matted. Salcido's fit her in for a full grooming and did a thorough job, advising from the outset that they'd probably have to trim her down quite a bit. Still managed not to completely shave her and she looks good and will be a lot cooler in the heat now. Nice people and Juno was treated kindly.

My furbabies love coming here, I like that they are accommodating to our needs and my babies always come back looking their best. Alex is so attentive to them and very customer oriented. Definitely recommend it

My dogs looked amazing after being cleaned here. I have two husky boys. One had horrible knots from rolling in the dirt with his brother. But they managed to untangle his tail. And the price was right.

I wanted to really write a thorough review on this business regarding my recent visit. First, I’d like to say that this isn’t the first time my dog has been groomed at salcido’s. My mother took care of my dog for a period of time while I was away in school, so she chose where to get my dog groomed. Up until a little under a year ago, I’ve had my dog with me all of the time and she has a particular groomer and grooming service that I love in the Bay Area of California. However, I’m staying in the area for a few weeks and my dog needed to be groomed. Onto my experience, I took my dog in at 10 AM on the dot day of appt. One issue is the fact that I did not receive word of my dog until 2:15 PM. It took almost four and a half hours to finish grooming my dog. The business should allocate time properly and be done with grooming in a timely manner. I am used to 2 hours more or less and 4+ hours is excessive given that my dog did not have any issues with her fur and is a calm and easy-going dog. She also had irritated eyes as they were and still are after several hours, extremely red and her demeanor was down and different than how she usually is. Second, due to Covid there is a sign saying no one will be serviced or allowed into the building without proper ppe such as a mask. Yet, I physically saw a woman get out of her car without a mask, go into the building without a mask and she was able to retrieve her dog and was not turned away. This is not only not following regulations that are being enforced in California right now, but it also puts at risk other customers, employees and the animals being groomed. Third, I’ve been to a lot of grooming businesses due to owning multiple poodles, Maltese mixes, and other furry fur babies and at salcido’s all you hear are dogs crying non-stop. It’s normal for dogs to whine as they are uncomfortable at times being groomed, but this was excessive and made me worry for my dog’s well being and safety. To add on to that, I walked in while a dog was crying and the groomer or whoever was attending the dog was speaking roughly to the dog and it did not sound like a good interaction. Fourth, the employees do not act like or seem to be dog lovers. Usually employees who work with animals are loving and gentle with pets, but these employees are not and that should open the window to how they may treat your pets when you take them. One last thing is that it smells bad inside the business. At drop off, it did not smell like urine and feces, but at pick up it did and it was very strong which does not ease my feelings of how the dogs are waiting to be groomed and where they relieve themselves and if they are relieving out of fear. They also only accept cash, which is a bit inconvenient especially being 2020, but less of a serious issue. I expect the best for my pets and I know a lot of other people do as well so I wanted to share my personal experience and opinion. I will be taking my dog elsewhere.

March 2021 - Chris and Barbara are very special people and took excellent care of our 10 month old Maltipoo. He has stayed with them for both day care and overnight visits and I was very happy with the care they provided! I prefer that he get more attention and personalized attention at a smaller, home care setting (like Hugs) vs one of the other more commercialized dog care options. Chris and Barbara took our dog on a nice, long walk in the morning and evening. They were very flexible when our schedule changed and we needed to adjust the pick up time. And our dog came back clean, happy and tired :-) Update 4/2021 - our dog just stayed with Chris and Barbara for the past 10 days and they sent me pictures, videos and updates every day. Also got pictures of our dog sitting with them - I could tell that they truly care about him and he received lots of love in our absence. He celebrated his 1st birthday with them and my daughter was so sad that we weren’t with him. Chris and Barbara threw him a birthday party and FaceTimed with us so that we could see his party they put on - complete with birthday hats, balloons, dog cake and even a present! We were so appreciative and touched (especially my daughter)!

Hugs Pets Sittings did a truly outstanding and professional job caring for my lab Lola for overnight stays in the home-style setting we wanted for our pet. Not only was my dog cared for in a healthy and loving manner with multiple walks and much attention, but the owners also provided me with photos and and video updates throughout my trip so I could see how well Lola had adjusted to her new environment. Another bonus is Hugs Pet Sitting also allowed me to cancel a reservation 5 days prior due to a emergency hospitalization of a family member during the busy holiday season. Their understanding and compassion shows a business that really cares for its customers.

We were very fortunate to have found this place as we were looking for boarding for our furbabies. We love the fact that they get to roam freely and have access to indoor and outdoor space; it was the perfect home away from home for them. Chris and Barbara were very caring and we knew they were in good hands while we were out of town! We enjoyed all the daily check-ins and I know Kona and Milo look forward to their next visit! They really enjoyed their walks and playing with their furry friends!!!! Thank you again Chris and Barbara, you both provide a great environment for our pets!!

I've had our two dogs, Penny and Sidney, staying at Hugs Pet Sitting for 2 years now. When I first met Barbara and Chris in their home to discuss our needs, I was struck at how their house was 100% tailor-made to have dogs as guests. To have our dogs in a home environment with a limited number of dogs per day, tended to by TRUE dog-lovers who treat your dogs as if they are their own, is a dream come true. The first year, we had a major home remodel going on, and couldn't have our dogs underfoot with workers going in and out (open doors) and dangerous materials strewn about. Five days a week our dogs got to go to "Camp Cavanaugh" and be loved and pampered by Chris and Barbara. They always went out of their way to make sure they got love and affection, or walks, or pickups or drop-offs to my house when I was in a bind...they are the most generous-hearted people who truly do care. I also 100% know that if any sort of emergency were to arise, it would be handled immediately with intelligent and informed action. Our dogs bonded with their two dogs, Yuki and Peach, for life..they truly are best friends. Their German Shepherd Yuki can at first look imposing because of his size, but he truly is a gentle giant who wouldn't hurt a flea...he is so well mannered and such a gentleman and so sweet. Their other dog Peach is exactly as her name implies...a peach! A sweetheart who loves to play and be friends. Now that we're in our second year, we meet at the park for walks (again, our dogs are BFFs), and when we go out of town, our dogs get the treat of getting to stay at what I now refer to as "their cousin's home." We thank our lucky stars every day that we found Hugs Pet Sitting. It truly lives up to its name. Barbara and Chris both work from home, so the dogs truly are tended to and taken care of. Out of this fortunate connection we've found dear friends for life too, in Barbara and Chris! Dog lovers, they are the real deal!! Your search is over...just bring them to Hugs!

I can’t tell you how pleased I was with Hugs Pet Boarding and day care! I originally had my dog scheduled to be boarded at a facility for 10 days. This weighed on our shoulders for days before we left. The thought of him inside sleeping in a kennel and only going out to play with other dogs a few times a day was agonizing!! After searching I came upon Hugs doggy daycare/boarding. This was like finding a diamond in the rough! Everything from my first contact with Chris and Barb was nothing more than professional. We had a meet and greet before our trip and I felt completely confident that this was the place for our pup. They did not disappoint!! Every day they sent us a little video clip of how much fun our pup was having. We actually were concerned that he would not want to come home with us when we came to pick him up. He was having a great time!! Everyday! I would definitely refer my best friends and family and anyone who asks for a place to bring their fur babies to Hugs!!!

Our 6 month old Viszla puppy, Maple, had such a great time at Hugs! It was so comforting to be able to leave her in a home setting and get daily pictures/videos of her activities and behavior. She was so tired out when we picked her up from running around with the other dogs and it was clear she enjoyed herself! This was our first time leaving her with someone other than our family members and it's safe to say we will definitely be using Hugs again, highly recommend!

Chris and Barbara took wonderful care of our dog over our spring break vacation. They cared about her comfort and walked her everyday while she stayed with them. We felt lucky that she was in such good and caring hands. Their place was clean and set up wonderfully for dogs to roam freely and play. They even sent us pictures and videos showing what a great time our dog was having with the other dogs there. One thing especially I would give them a shout out for is how they took some time to screen the dogs they accepted. It was great knowing that they made sure our dog would be comfortable with the other dogs there before we left her there. I wish I could give more stars than five and definitely wouldn't think twice before having her stay with Chris and Barbara again in the future!

Chris and Barbara were wonderful hosts to our 7 month old golden retriever. They were quick to communicate. They sent updates daily. They were willing to work with our picky eater and make accommodations for him. They got him out for exercise daily. He was a happy pup when we picked him up after 3 nights! Hugs is absolutely the best place for your furry friends! I am beyond grateful we found Hugs. Chris and Barbara are amazing with the animals. Our fur babies, Lola and Ziggy, come home happier when they are at Hugs versus anywhere else when we are out. Hugs take wonderful care of the animals and I love how they send photos and video clips of the animals everyday. It makes me feel so comfortable knowing the dogs are in excellent hands. Chris and Barb are nothing short of attentive and loving when it comes to the fur babies. We love them!

Susan went above and beyond for our kitten while we were away on vacation in HI. To make a very long story short, her knowledgeable observation & dedicated care most likely saved his very young life. She took him to a vet in Kearney Mesa (from Chula Vista) three times in a week. She administered 5 medications & provided love & comfort to him. She did all this during what is arguably her busiest time of the year - Christmas. She even left him several sweet gifts! Our vet also lauded her amazing care & attention. Susan is reliable, trustworthy beyond compare & compassionate to animals.

Susan and Nassi are great!!! My husband and I have been using their help every time we are out of town, both business and pleasure, for about the last two years or so. I love the fact that my little ones do so well with them. I am usually very nervous about who will care for my little ones. I have both a dog and a cat. My cat happens to be diabetic and requires two insulin shots per day. I appreciate the fact that they have taken the time to learn how to give her the shots she needs while I'm away. Usually, either one of them will come into my house and pet sit while I'm gone, that way I don't have to board them somewhere unfamiliar. Another great feature is that Susan is amazing when it comes to communicating while you are away. I'll get pictures and txts of my little ones while I'm gone to let me know of their well being. I would with out a doubt continue to recommend Beloved Pet Sitting. They are wonderful and will definitely become part of your family!!!

Susan sets the standard in pet sitting services. Her website is very effective in managing care and although it may cost a bit more than your neighbors, you get what you pay for and that's high quality, professional care by an insured professional. Most of all, we felt our 14 year old Baron was treated with the respect and attention he deserves.

Susan is incredible. She is reliable and my animals love her! (3) She is always ready to go help me out if i can't make it home in time for a potty break or have a family emergency for a few days. Best pet sitter ever. I have a cat and a a dog that both require a lot of care and special attention. I tend to go away a lot cause of my job. Sometime for weeks at a time. And I never have to worry about anything when I call beloved pet sitting. They send me pics and and updates on how they both are doing. And always reasonable with the price. Its a lot better than putting your pet in a kennel when your on vacation. I highly recommend beloved pet sitting.

I just moved to San Diego and needed to have my dog, Flapjack, watched while on a trip. Raquel came highly recommended so I figured to give her a shot! Flapjack was a bit anxious at the beginning but Raquel being super knowledgeable kept me informed throughout his whole stay and made him super comfortable! I received picture and well detailed updated regularly - keeping me less anxious as well. I will be certainly having Flapjack visit again so he can play and hang out with all of his new friends!

Raquel is great!!!! I needed to find boarding for my girls kind of last minute and she was so accommodating and flexible. The girls had a great time and were happy and comfortable on their next visit. We will definitely continue to book boarding and eventually day care with Raquel - she’s like a home away from home for the pugs.

I’m compelled to write this review *immediately* after an amazing vacation and a terrible LONG travel day, specifically because of how incredible Raquel was. From the moment I stumbled upon Raquel’s B&B via Google she was so responsive with communication, SO warm, and very accommodating with getting a fast ~10 day booking in. Each time I was able to snag cell service over the course of my trip, logging into her easy peasy app became a highlight - the sweetest narrative updates of my pup Nala’s adventures and amazing pics greeted me. Like many others, I’ve used a range of boarding services trying to find THIS diamond level of care, took me 10 years to find it. For as long as Raquel welcome Nala back I’ll be loyal - it fills my heart to FEEL how passionately Raquel loves dogs. Extra appreciation to her for a late drop off straight to my house which was just above and beyond. Convenience on top of the best care out there? Blown away, and beyond grateful. 👏👏

True professionals. You bring your pup by for a meet n greet first with another dog at the business address. After that, we decided to do single day of daycare to make sure the overnight trip we were planning for wouldn’t be too stressful. For the actual care residence, all dogs are taken to a different, private residence to prevent territorial issues. Raquel is extremely knowledgeable about various breeds, pet aging, reactivity, and the unique needs for comfort each dog may have as they age. The lengthy legal documents required gave me pause initially, but Raquel took the time to explain everything to me and I can see that she just puts meticulously attention to every detail of her work and service to ensure everyone is protected and responsible. Through the 5 day trip I received regular updates, photos, feeding and potty notes, and clearly saw a happy little ham flirting with all the senior puppies there. The in include pick up/drop off in the rate is a fabulous perk and I found the pricing extremely fair for the level of care being offered. I have a nearly 10 y/o Havanese with lots of young spirit still and a very anxious mama. We’ve been together nearly 8 years now and she is the light of my life. My furbaby hates grooming drop offs and is not used to daycares. Well! She sees Raquel and goes RUNNING to be picked up like a little baby. An excellent place to spoil your pup with and allow yourself some peace of mind what traveling for business pleasure, or just allowing your dog a fun day of socializing.

Raquel is super attentive and patient with my baby. My pupper is easily overwhelmed and anxious, but he felt comfortable with Raquel almost immediately, which is super rare. She took care of him like he was a part of her family. He was supposed to stay in a private room (since he gets too anxious around other dogs), but instead, she would let him hang out with her in the office pretty much all day while she was there so that he would not have to be alone. She gives me so many updates and photos throughout the day, so I was able to enjoy my time away, knowing that my baby was in good hands. I would definitely recommend and have Raquel take care of my baby again.

I recently had to board my dog here while I was on a work trip. She stayed for 7 weeks! Leaving her for so long was hard. I stressed so much before I found Raquel’s. While I was gone I did not worry at all about my girl because I got so many updates. There are so many pictures and txts about my dog. It really put me at ease. My dog was treated like their own pet. All the other dogs are either seniors or very calm. This was perfect for my girl who is almost 10 years old. A traditional boarding place would have really stressed her out at her age. I looked into many places before settling here. Raquel’s is one of the few who will take senior dogs or dogs with medical issues. Raquel also gives you daily updates. I was surprised by how many. Other places I talked to required you to call. If my dog had an upset tummy or anything else I was notified immediately. When I picked up my dog she was in perfect health and well groomed. She got all her meds and was fed her food per instructions. If I ever have to leave my dog again she will go here!

Our Toby, 18 years old, has stayed twice with Raquel and Marcus, and we could not be happier with the love and care he received while there. Toby is blind and deaf, and he is a fussy eater, but he thrives under Raquel’s care. With frequent updates and photos, we always knew our little guy was doing well and could enjoy our vacation without worry. Raquel’s place features a yard for the dogs to sniff and play under the sun, and a cozy place for them to nap. We are so happy we found Raquel; Toby is too!

My dog Theo (and I) absolutely loves his time at Raquel’s!!! He is so well taken care of, just as he would be at home. With awesome updates, I get to hear about him playing with other dogs, getting time outdoors, and lots of photos as seen below. Theo is 9 and *very* chill, and Raquel’s is the perfect place for him to go when I’m out of town.

Raquel and Marcus deserve more thank 5 stars. I had a fantastic experience with Raquel's senior dog bnb. They were incredibly friendly, communicative, and genuinely cared for my senior dogs. Raquel's experience with senior pups was a comfort, and I felt completely at ease leaving my furry pals in her care. I have never boarded my pets before and they made sure my first time went smoothly. They took care of my two chihuahuas over the weekend, including one with diabetes, ensuring they got their medications. I really appreciated the updates and pictures they sent throughout the day – it made me feel connected and assured that my pets were well looked after. All in all, it was an outstanding service, and I wholeheartedly recommend it, especially for senior dogs!

I could not recommend Raquel more for your pup! I’m always very anxious to leave my dog when I’m out of town because she is a senior and I worry that she won’t adjust well. I left her with Raquel for a ten-day trip and she was clearly so loved and well-taken care of. Raquel made sure to keep me updated and communicated with me throughout my trip with photos and descriptions of her day. It took the stress and worry out of my travel and I’ll be using Raquel for future trips.
