We are so happy to have Chandra take care of our Sammy Girl while we are away. Chandra is a very conscientious and caring person and sends us text updates on how things are going, including playtime and snuggle time activities. Chandra even takes time out to attend to our visiting neighborhood cat!

Chandra was fabulous! We went away for 5 weeks and she did a fantastic job with our animals. We loved her regular email updates so we knew our pets were doing fine. We have a bunch of reptiles and she was totally game for taking care of them, not just fluffy dogs and cats. All our pets were happy and healthy when we returned. Will definitely hire her again! Highly recommended!

Chandra did a fantastic job watching our dogs while we were away. We gave her the ultimate task of watching 5 of our family dogs while we were away overnight for our wedding and when we returned they were all safe and happy. She gave text updates, as requested, to update us on how everything was going. We felt very comfortable having her stay in our home with our pets and knowing they were in their own environment eased our mind. Chandra is very professional, friendly, and great with our dogs. We added additional time for her to pop in and give potty breaks/ feed them and she was very flexible and accommodating to our needs. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for care for the pets within the comfort of their own home. We will definitely be using her again for our pet sitting needs!

Incredible experience. Chandra has taken care of our two boys twice now for a few days at a time. She has been available on short notice and is very responsive. Our boys warmed up to her quickly. Chandra is like a trusted member of the family and we so appreciate her professionalism, attention to detail and of course her love of animals. Chandra is just AWESOME! Up until we met her we would not leave our dogs in anyone else's hand, but my two German Shepherds LOVE her! She is so good with them...they are always excited to see her. I'm thrilled that I found Chandra and her Paw Watch! During our meet and greet, it was apparent Chandra was an animal lover, putting me at immediate ease and giving me helpful tips on puppy rearing. Chandra, from the Paw Watch, is awesome! I needed to find a friendly, kind, caring, trustworthy and professional person to take care of my dogs, and she exactly what I was looking for! She sent daily updates on how they were and even left a nice little gift for them at the end. She is now my go to pet sitter and I highly recommend her!

We couldn't have been more pleased with the service that Chandra provided. Given short notice she made the effort to come out within a day to introduce herself and meet our rather large kitty who would require twice a day prescription feedings over the Thanksgiving holiday and weekend. The daily text updates put our minds at ease that our boy was in good hands and had no disruptions from his daily routine. We definitely will be using the Paw Watch again and would recommend to anyone that is in need of pet care!!

We have a very nervous Aussie/Collie mix and have checked out a number of different daycare & boarding locations (3 others to be exact). Christopher Robins is by far the best (by a mile), with amazing staff who are kind and professional and actually understand dog behavior, and a great facility with plenty of outdoor space for running and playing. Clean building with zero "kennel smell" and a great location (not in a noisy or high traffic area). I'm so happy to have found a spot where I'll actually feel comfortable leaving my dog for short day trips and longer overnights. Thank you to Karen and staff, you just made my day!

We have been using Christopher Robbins for a long time. I think our dog looks forward to her vacation from us when we take her there. The daily updates are great. We see her mingling/ interacting with other dogs. We strongly suggest using this facility.

We bring our puppy to puppy daycare at least once a week, and everyone loves it! He's happy to go in the morning, gets a ton of social time with other dogs, and is tired when he comes home. We get a day to run non-puppy errands, or just have some downtime. The staff are really excellent, whenever I've had a question or concern they've been super friendly and accommodating. The pictures we get mid-day are great and always make us smile. We're looking forward to having a place that he knows and we know when we have to board him. I can't recommend this place enough, and it's just incredible to have such a resource so close!

Great interactions with my dog, very gentle and no-fear communications with her. Super clean, good prices, friendly staff. If my dog could leave a review, it would be 6 stars, I'm sure! Love this "home away from home."

My dachshund Maggie and I have been so fortunate to use Christopher Robins Pet Care fabulous local small business in Avon, NY. Maggie has had quite a few stays there over the years and always has the Best time!! The owner and staff are beyond wonderful with the way they care for our precious pets!! Amazing place!! I take my 2 labs there for day care and boarding and they love it. The staff is super helpful and accommodating. I love getting pictures of my dogs after each day they are there. Highly recommend to anyone!!

We have tried several boarding facilities in the area and hit the jack pot with Christopher Robins! Our two small dogs would lose weight at other facilities, but when we pick them up at Christopher Robins they look healthy and happy. We love the pictures the staff sends us and everyone there is extremely friendly. You can tell they enjoy working here and our dogs get plenty of playtime and love.

Never again, I love my pups too much!! Don't do it. Find anywhere better! I'd rather drive further to have my girls taken care of. They [meaning husband (assuming)], didn't know which dogs were ours aftr a weekend boarding. Good luck.

As an update - I spoke with Dawn the day after I picked up my dog and I am positive that the negative reviews are anomalies tied to one employee who she has dismissed. I still think the negative experiences are valid but I am 100% certain that the situation has been remedied. I'm not sure what has changed since the first time we used Heavenly Kennel, but there is no way I can recommend them after our dogs stay this week. I picked her up and was speechless about the condition she was in: covered in feces and urine, at least 15 pounds lighter, her nose was so caked with snot she couldn't breathe, and dehydrated- as soon as she got outside of the building she started drinking from puddles. Barry claimed that she didn't eat while she was there and that she was drinking normally for part of her stay. My dog hasn't ever missed a meal, for any reason. She would walk through a door to get to her dinner bowl. I left her with enough food for two weeks and 85% of it came home with her. I can't say for certain - but her condition and behavior once she got home makes it seem like she was locked in a kennel for the week she was there. She is a high energy dog, friendly, very well adjusted to new people and situations. The kennel's description of her behavior is completely opposite of her normal behavior, completely out of character. Again, as an update, I am sure that this situation has been fixed. My dog has recovered nicely and Dawn was nothing but apologetic and took full ownership of the situation. Our previous stays at Heavenly Kennel went very well and that is why we went back.

I can agree with a lot of these reviews. When talking on the phone to what I assumed was the owner she made it sound like a great place to leave our dogs. We have 3 Bichons and 1 Pit Bull. When dropping them off I was greeted by a man who never said who he was. I was told that I could only go in the first room and could not go back to see the kennels were the dogs would be spending the next few days. The smell was horrible. The dogs were very hesitant to go to the point I had to actual force them. I was also told I’d get updates and pictures everyday. I never got anything until I asked then it was usually a text. In one of the texts I received I was told the dogs may be a little dirty when I picked them up as they love to go out and play in the rain. I’m here to tell you not one of the 4 dogs like to go out in the rain. They were there from a Friday morning until Tuesday morning. When I picked them up they could not wait to leave. They were all covered in urine and decided. When we got them home they all needed a bath. They were very thirsty and drinking the bath water. They all had diarrhea which cleared up within a couple of days except for the oldest dog. I had to take her to the vet which cost me over $200. One of the dogs nose was bloody like she had her nose to the kennel wanting to get out. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would never board my dogs there again even if they were the only boarder available.

I don’t know how these people have any good reviews. We had to find someone last minute. We are new to area so tried this location bc it’s close to our new home. My husband said she sounded great on phone. They walk them… our dog will not go without walking her. We picked her up she was scared of movement, fur matted down, covered in pee and poo. They wouldn’t let me go back with her or barely in first room. She didn’t want to go … I almost didn’t leave her and now I wish I didn’t!!!! Don’t ever bring your dog here!!!!

1st time needing to board my dogs...fantastic experience. Made me feel at ease about leaving my fur babies while I was away on vacation.

If you love your dog, don’t let them watch your dogs 🤬🤬🤬 I let them watch my 2 small dogs for 6 days while on vacation and when i picked them up they were covered in poop and urine and so hungry and thirsty . We sent dog food with them, and the dog food was all gone. They must’ve been feeding it to other dogs in the kennel.. I had to throw out their dog beds because they were covered in poop and urine cost me $75 for new beds . I gave them both a bath and they were drinking their bathwater. They were so thirsty. So please if you love your dogs, don’t let them board them.Doug Gailey from Dansville

The owner, Dawn, is clearly knowledgeable about dogs and loves working with them. My golden doodle stayed with her for 2 nights. I'm an active dog "parent" and loved getting a few photo texts each day showing what my dog was doing (out for a walk, outdoor time, etc). She had no problem giving my dog his 2x daily allergy medicine. There are scheduled pick up/drop off times, but Dawn was flexible and allowed us to pick up the dog while traveling through her area. It's a bit of a drive to get to, but it's actually a beautiful drive and we would use this kennel again.

I never write reviews, but after reading a couple of "very" negative reviews, I felt I should write about my experience at Heavenly Kennel. My dog just spent 6 days there. He was very well taken care of. He ate all his food and was given his joint supplement as I requested. He went on short walks, again as I requested and loved going out in the play area. The place was clean and did not smell like "POO".He came home very happy and clean! No diarrhea and no vomiting. He absolutely loved Barry and you could tell that Barry loved him too. I will not hesitate to take him there again. In fact he will be staying there for 10 days while I'm away in July. Thanks Dawn and especially Barry! Great kennel.

we took our dog here while we were gone for the weekend and they came back skinnier and sick they are still sick at the time of me writing this ONE WEEK LATER absolutely terrible place and I have friends who have shared similar experiences with me where their dog comes back lighter and sick so I know it's not just me I have heard they the employee running it was going to be fired but they told my friend that exact same story I would not recommend this place and we will never go back PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS HEAR FOR THEIR WELLBEING

After a lengthy, informative phone conversation, I was feeling pretty good about leaving our dog there for the first time. The owner, Dawn, stated the dogs are taken outside every 2 hours, which I thought was amazing. The price was very reasonable, and the location wasn’t too far from our house. The online website pictures looked great. The only things that seemed odd to me were that Dawn said no vaccinations were required as the dogs wouldn’t interact, and that she didn’t encourage us to visit first with our dog. She stated it would take the dog 2-3 times seeing them to remember them. But it would have only taken me one visit to realize this place wasn’t for us. We pulled in to their house with backyard kennel and was greeted by a man who didn’t introduce himself even after we introduced ourselves. I thought he was Dawn’s husband, but he seemed angry when I mentioned that as he said he was her brother. Dawn didn’t come out of the house, but waved as she walked in the house. The kennel reeked of dog poo & urine. I tried to talk to the man about our dog’s food and treats, but he just wanted to take the dog outside so we could leave. That was fine, but I would have liked to tell someone about our dog. So we left and I had a bad feeling in my gut. I shouldn’t have left my dog there, but did. Dawn told me I would get pictures and videos from the week our dog was there, but only got 1 picture late in the week. When we went to pick up our dog, the place was even more disgusting. A woman came out who I guessed was Dawn and said our dog had diarrhea that morning and her bed was covered in it. So we left that there to be thrown away. Our dog looked fine and was happy to see us, but she smelled so bad!! We couldn’t bring her in the house before giving her a bath, and before washing all her toys. There is no way she laid in the diarrhea, especially if it was just that morning. She would have stayed far away from it. If it was all over the room she was in for an extended period of time without being cleaned up, then maybe she had no choice. Our dog kept having diarrhea for the next few days at home, outside. I took her to the vet and was told maybe she ate something outside...hopefully it wasn’t another dog’s poo. Even though the dogs didn’t interact, they walked and peed/pooed in the same place. Overall, the place was unsanitary and filthy. The owners were not personable, nor honest, in my opinion. I don’t believe that the dogs are taken out every 2 hours, but how would an owner know? I think our dog was sitting in her own poo for a long, sad time. It was very disappointing and unnerving. Although I shouldn’t have left my dog there, they shouldn’t be running such a disgusting “kennel.” We will never go there again, or refer anyone there.
