Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Abi and David were FABULOUS pet sitters during our 5-day trip. They were devoted and fun dog walkers, park-goers and ball throwers. They communicated well and sent pictures. And when we got home, the house looked great, and the dogs looked calm. We would gladly have them. Sit for us again and highly recommend them.
Prashant and India were fantastic pets sitters for us. Both were dependable and were even kind enough to allow some service people into the home to do some repairs. Our dogs were well looked after and we got daily updates on how the dogs were doing. Prashant is very knowledgeable and gave us a few strategies to combat some negative behaviors that we were seeing with the dogs. Could not recommend them more. They will be missed.
Samantha and Scott are great sitters and we enjoyed hearing from them a couple of times while we were away. Our pets were very relaxed and happy too! Very happy to recommend them.
Caitlyn, KJ, and their pup Sully were excellent house guests and pet sitters, and we would highly recommend them! I was able to meet Caitlyn and KJ prior to them house sitting for us, and we are always super appreciative when sitters are able to make that work and are willing to take time out of their schedule to come over and get the lay of the land. Their dog Sully was full of good boy energy and was a great playmate for our two Golden Retrievers. During the stay, Caitlyn & KJ sent us photos every day and followed all of our instructions for pet care to a T. They were super self-sufficient and gracious guests that left our place looking just like it did when we left, and we were very at peace knowing that our dogs were in great hands, getting lots of exercise, and romping around with new friend Sully. Don't hesitate to book this family of three, your house and your pets will be well-looked after!
I had the pleasure of having Tracey and her two children as house sitters, and I can't praise them enough for the incredible job they did. From the moment they stepped into our home, it was evident that they were dedicated, caring, and attentive to every detail. First and foremost, Tracey's approach to caring for our house and our beloved pets was nothing short of excellent. She has an innate ability to connect with animals, and it was clear from the daily updates and photos that our pets were happy and thoroughly pampered. The house was kept in immaculate condition, and they treated it with the utmost respect as if it was their own. Moreover, Tracey demonstrated remarkable responsibility and initiative when our AC system unexpectedly broke down. Without hesitation, she arranged for an HVAC company to come and fix the issue, taking time from her day to ensure our home was taken care of. Her willingness to front the repair costs until I could reimburse her was an act of kindness and trust that you rarely see. Tracey and her children's thoughtfulness and thoroughness provided me with peace of mind during my time away, which is priceless. I returned to a home that was just as I left it, if not better. Their stay was characterized by an extraordinary level of care and I was particularly impressed by how they left the house in perfect condition, with happy pets to welcome me back. I wholeheartedly recommend Tracey to any future hosts. Her reliability, compassion, and the ability to handle unexpected situations with grace are commendable. I would welcome Tracey and her children back to house sit in a heartbeat – they are exactly the kind of house sitters that one hopes for on this site! Thank you, Tracey, for everything. You and your children are welcome back anytime!
Kyle was a great house sitter and pet sitter for us. We had a good dialogue prior to him sitting for us, and we also did a short walkthrough the week before. Kyle formed a great bond with our dog Charlie and also took good care of our rabbit Poppy. A couple of minor issues came up with systems in our home due to an unexpected power outage, and Kyle was quick to connect with us and then was able to work 1:1 with the service providers to resolve the issues. We look forward to working with Kyle again.
Angelica was a wonderful pet sitter for our dog Rosie! She was easy to communicate with before and during the sit (very responsive), and made time to do a walk through of our house/intro to Rosie prior to the sit. She was extremely reliable throughout the process, and left our house really neat. Rosie was happy when we got home! We'd be happy to have Angelica sit for us again and would recommend her to anyone!
We were so happy to have Kyle as our house sitter for two weeks. Besides taking great care of our pets and our house, he was very accommodating. We were always able to get in touch with him if we needed to, and he agreed to take on some extra plant watering’s when the weather made a sudden change. As a bonus, he is very likable and communicative. We would definitely have him come again.
Deboraj took great care of the apartment and of our goofy unsociable cat. She went out of her way to bring catnip and make friends with Rowan. She communicated often and cared to be as good a house and pet sitter as could be. I can gladly recommend her highly to anyone else looking. Thank you Deborah.
Jessica was an awesome pet sitter for my cat Fifi. She texted photos and updates everyday so I knew that Fifi was being well cared for. She was communicative and asked a lot of good questions to make sure she understood Fifi's needs. My home was equally as clean (if not more so) upon my return. I would highly recommend Jessica!

I cannot say enough how wonderful this company is. I contacted the company and met our pet sitter, Tanya, a few days later. She came to my house and met my cat, who loved her instantly. She took notes on what to do to and where food/treats are. She came twice a day exactly as planned and stayed for the agreed amount of time. She always sent an update immediately afterward detailing what she did, how my cat was doing, and she sent a collage of photos. I felt so much better knowing that while I was away, my fur baby was being well-cared for. I wholeheartedly trust Tanya to be in my home while away. In a world where you have to be wary of people, pet sitters from this company are honest and good. If you’re taking a trip and cannot take your fur baby, call Villaridge. They’re the best!
We've used Villaridge three times to watch our cats, and we have never been let down! Our pets are family, and there's no question that they have been taken care of while we've been away.
We are longtime customers of Villaridge Pet Sitters. They have been great, even helping out in an emergency situation. Would highly recommend them.
Responsive, prompt, and detail- oriented. Very happy thus far!
I found this company when I moved to NOVA. I have to say how wonderful they have been both the owners and my sitter! Karen my sitter is amazing , detailed and notices everything about our cats. She keeps us well informed about how the gang of 5 are doing. I highly recommend All Friends Pet Care. It’s a local gem!
Amazing care! We’ve used AFPC since 2016 and always had amazing experience, we totally trust them to walk our dog, and pet sit when out of town. Highly recommend! My family has been longtime fans of AFPC, and have received great care for our pup (Kai) and cat (Hoku). WE've really appreciated the safe, reliable services including daily dog walking, pet sitting, and pet transport as well - since 2016! 5 stars, highly recommend. Our pets love their sitters/walkers and we do too!
We've worked with All Friends for several years and have enjoyed nothing less than stellar and kind service for our cats and dogs. The communication with the staff and sitters has been terrific and I always feel confident that the team will give our pets the best care and attention.
We've been with All Friends Pet care for so long now that we couldn't even think about considering any other service. They are compassionate, caring, focused, reliable, and truly give us confidence that our fur babies are in the best hands possible whenever we need them.
I've been using All Friends Pet Care for 3 or 4 years. Pam and Beth who run it are amazing. Fast, responsive, and intelligent. The dog walkers I've had are all 5 star. The online portal makes booking easy. And the dog walkers send reports every time they walk my dog so I know it's been done and that my dog is fine. I recommend All Friends Pet Care very strongly!
I RARELY write reviews. In fact, this may be my second review ever. However, All Friends Pet Care is that good, and I want to applaud the quality of this small business and the compassion of the owners, particularly during the pandemic. All Friends Pet Care does not miss a beat when caring for your animal— they are timely, communicative, and above all else, truly loving towards that special member of your family. They make every effort to accommodate you and your pet, even on short notice. I can tell from the photos they send, that Daisy Mae is happy and at ease when they are there to help. It puts my mind at ease knowing there is a reliable service to assist Daisy Mae when we cannot. I cannot recommend All Friends Pet Care more.
I highly trust All Friends Pet Care with my dogs. The owners partner you with a regular dog walker so you have a consistent service for your pets. I have been very happy with the communication and service. The portal they use is tremendous and gives you a ton of information through an app, including a GPS route of where your dog walker goes each day.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! A raving Google review will not even begin to adequately express the wonders of All Friends Pet Care, but I'll do my best. I switched to All Friends Pet Care when my previous dog walker was not working out. My dog is nervous with strangers and the walkers at AFPC were extremely understanding, they were all very patient with my pup and some of the best people he has ever been around, he quickly warmed up to them. AFPC truly cares about it's clients above all else and this is evident in every aspect of their business, from initial contact, scheduling, billing, walking/sitting your pets, providing updates and communication! They use Time to Pet which is a pet sitting software that allows you to see exactly when your pet walker/sitter checked in to see your pet, when they checked out, a map of where they walked, pictures and a summary of the visit. Not to mention Time to Pet makes payment and scheduling super easy. Beth and Pam, the owners of AFPC are the most lovely people and will address all of your concerns and questions themselves, not to mention in a very timely manner. I am very protective of my pup and I felt 100% at ease knowing AFPC was taking great care of my boy while I'm away. Thanks AFPC!!!
We have used All Friends for over 10 years for our pet sitting and dog walking needs. Owners Pam and Beth and their entire team are so customer-focused that we've never had to worry if our pets will be well cared for. It's as though our pets were their own.
Beware of this company’s policy on the NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. I used All Friends Pet Care one time before COVID hit. My one experience was good, but my second reservation cost me $396 for a cancellation made five weeks in advance. I made a reservation with All Friends Pet Care in April 2021 for Dec 11-23, 2021 vacation, which I had to cancel on Nov 4 due to my cruise getting cancelled. The 50% deposit was entirely non-refundable due to their non-refund policy which states: ***Please note our reservation policy: ALL reservations totaling $200 or more will be charged a non-refundable deposit equaling 50% of the job total in order to confirm the reservation.*** I submitted a complaint and Pam, one of the owners, called to tell me they are a small business, and this is what they have to do to stay in business. I also learned that All Friends Pet Care paid the pet sitter for the reservation even though it was cancelled over a month in advance and probably was backfilled with a new reservation. Perhaps this is creating their financial issues. I appreciate what it takes to be a small business, but this policy is excessive when compared to the competition and has cost them what would have been a repeat client. I have yet to find a cancellation policy so restrictive with any of their competitors and there are a lot of options available. (An example of the refund policy of a comparable pet sitting service: “Pet Sitting Visits: A cancellation fee of $25 will apply to all reservations cancelled within four days of the start date.”) If you are making a reservation which has even the remote possibility of getting cancelled for any reason whatsoever, I strongly recommend another service provider. Do your research and if possible, find other options for reservations that exceed $200 a booking and, if you still choose to book with All Friends Pet Care, I would not book way in advance as I did, as there is not a benefit.
I use to take my 15 mo dog for Spa service at least once a month. I did take him for day care couple times before also boarded him for 4 nights So I can say friendly and professional staff. They love what they are doing!
Every employee is friendly and treats my dog well when I drop her off and pick her up. Love that I can check in on her on the cameras. The express bath and spa is great as well as all the treat options!
The staff members are very friendly. They take very good care of my dog. My dog is always happy to go there. They have camera system set up so you can watch your Dog play. And the services that they offer are great.
Dogtopia Herndon has a wonderful caring staff and a large indoor play area for your dog to play and interact with other dogs. The staff makes a point of making doggie daycare fun by planning special events for the dogs during the week and celebrating throughout the year with fun photo ops of your dog on special days and holidays. My dog Sophie is always super excited to go play wth her friends at Dogtopia!
DO NOT TRUST THEM TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR PET. I will leave my original 5 star review below out of fairness... because we used to LOVE Dogtopia of Herndon. We've been taking our dog to this facility for 9 years, and we loved the previous manager. However, management has changed and there is a definite change in the care you now receive. They called my husband at 4:38pm to let him know our dog had been injured and they would send an image, however, they didn't think his injury looked bad enough to require stitches. Once the image was sent it was clear that it would require stitches and I called our vet immediately. Since they didn't call us until nearly 5pm we could not get in to see our vet and had to take him to emergency care. They told us that they would need to "review the footage" to find out what happened, but they believed it occurred "between 2-4pm." Again, we were notified at 4:38. When we arrived at Dogtopia Herndon to pick him up, they said it looked like he had gotten into a scuffle with another dog and the other dog would no longer be allowed to come back to this facility. They had still not taken responsibility for the incident. He required 3 staples, pain meds, antibiotics and a cone. He has pretty much refused to take most of his meds so that alone has been a huge headache to deal with. The district manager, Kelly Kirby, refuses to let me see the footage for the "security of the other dogs." However, if you're familiar with Dogtopia you already know that the live stream is available all day long, so this seems like a stretch. She has insisted that an employee was in the room at the time and the incident was handled as it was happening, and we were notified immediately. Her story clearly does not match the original story and our timeline of events. If an employee was present, and we were notified immediately, they would not have needed to review the footage to find out what happened, and we would have been called sooner. I understand that as pet parents we took responsibility for our dog and his potential injuries at this facility. I understand that we signed a waiver. However, I also feel like this incident should have been handled quicker and with much more sympathy. I will never bring my dog back to this facility or any Dogtopia within Kelly Kirby's district because this is a terrible way to handle an injury. The fact that they are blatantly trying to cover up what happened by not letting me see the footage is concerning, and the way that she has repeatedly told me to "trust her" has made me more suspicious of the entire incident. ****** OLD REVIEW... NO LONGER VALID Love Dogtopia of Herndon. My dog comes home happy and healthy every time we take him. They make sure your dog is up to date on necessary vaccines (there's even a vet office downstairs), and they require a trial play time to see how your dog interacts before their first stay. They also have webcams so you can watch your dog throughout the day. Seems a little pricy for dog daycare, but it's comparable to other facilities in the area. The only thing I do not like is that there is no outdoor play area and that my dog has to relieve himself indoors, at first we were worried that he would bring that mentality home with him, but he never did. The staff are all friendly and attentive, and they offer other services like nail trims and baths.
Dogtopia of Herndon is absolutely incredible! After years of wanting a dog, we finally adopted a one year old from a local shelter. As with some adoptions, we faced challenges early on with separation anxiety and barking when left alone. We live in an apartment and were very stressed about the entire situation. My partner works from home, so we started looking into dog daycares in the area as an option if we went out for the day or away for the weekend. The first daycare place we looked into (not Dogtopia) had breed restrictions. We were told that because she was listed as a mixed breed on her adoption forms and is likely a staffy mix, she would not be allowed out with other dogs and would have to stay in a kennel by herself. Then I came across Dogtopia! The staff members are all very friendly and helpful, and they accept all breeds following a successful meet and greet. We aren’t very sure what our dog’s past was like, but she is anxious about changes in routines. The staff members work so well with her, especially when we drop her off. We have now had her for almost a year, and she has made incredible improvements when left alone in our apartment for periods of time. She no longer barks or perches on top of the couch staring at the door until we return. Now we catch her curled up sleeping on the Furbo when we’re away! We believe these improvements are from time to settle in after adoption, guidance from our vet, and her time spent building up independence at Dogtopia. We love how quick and easy it is to drop her off and pick her up, and the Dogtopia app makes it super easy to book overnight stays. They are also on top of keeping all vaccinations up to date so all the dogs stay healthy. We have been taking her to Dogtopia for 8 months now, and we continue to be grateful for them every single day!
Dogtopia is wonderful. They take really great care of our two dogs. They both come home exhausted every day.
We have taken are dog multiple times and although the daycare is okay, the overnight treatment has been disappointing. The team did not follow medication directions, multiple times, and refused to give our dog her bed and blankets that we provided, making her sleep on the hard crate, we only found out when we had to go back and pick them up because they weren't stored in the same place as normal. We wish that we were informed of our dog's treatment and that the staff could follow simple medication instructions. It is dangerous and put our dog in an unsafe and uncomfortable position. We will not be returning after the multiple trips with issues.
My dog still goes here (7 years now) but just not as often - she's 10 years old and a little more settled down. Dogtopia Herndon is convenient, clean, great staff and my dogs loves them. Being single, it's nice for her to have socialization with other dogs and other people most days and I can get work done without interruption. The weekend hours are great and really help out if I have to work (which can be up til 7pm) or if I want to go somewhere that dogs aren't allowed (gasp!). Nice to know she's not sitting at home alone for hours and has some stimulation and good company when she's not with me.
I’ve been taking my dog here for a couple years now with no complaints. They offer daily day-care as well as boarding; I’ve done both. Drop-off & pick-up is very quick, and the people are friendly. They have cameras that allow monitoring with the mobile app, so it’s easy to check on your best friend to see how he/she is doing. The facility is 100% indoors, no outdoor runs. Your dog must get along well with other dogs since they are all together in one of two rooms based on their size.
Jessica is truly a professional, and we feel so lucky to have found her! Every visit, she goes above and beyond, not just grooming him to perfection but making sure he’s comfortable and happy throughout the process. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in every little detail. My dog always comes home looking wonderful, and smelling great. If you’re looking for a groomer who will treat your dog with the same care and attention you would, Jessica is the one. We highly recommend her.
This was Wylie and Luna’s 1st stay at Healthy Hounds. The staff was amazing at responding to questions during their stay. Luna got extra attention on her birthday. Wylie has been to dog parks but not a daycare situation and they were great about easing him into that environment. This will definitely be our go to place for all of our grooming and boarding needs
We’ve been going to Healthy Hounds for grooming with Tonya since we adopted our cockapoo last year. I love that we have a set appointment, we know who the groomer is and they text us for pickup when he’s done. Some places let others cut in line for $, don’t honor appt times, leave the dog in crates for hours, and you never know who’s going to be the groomer. Chase is done in 90 minutes, always looks fantastic and isn’t stressed out! Now, if I could just keep him from playing in the mud for a week!
I don’t think 5 stars is enough! Healthy Hounds is amazing! I recommend it to everyone! My dog and my mom’s dog feel so comfortable with the front desk staff and the groomers (Jessica and Sunny). Cooper comes here from doggie day care and loves it more than being at his “grandmas” house.
We have taken our dog to Healthy Hounds in Sterling for a few years now. He is almost 15 years old and requires gentle handling and some assistance to move. Our dog is very comfortable there, and we know he is treated very well. Tonya and the entire team always talk with us about his cut and any concerns we might have before they start grooming. He is happy to go in and very happy and handsome when he comes out. Our dog has been groomed by every groomer there and he always looks great when they are done. The front office staff is also very efficient and pleasant to deal with and everyone I have met dropping their pets for daycare are genuinely pleased and grateful for the care their pets receive. This is truly a happy place! We recommend Healthy Hounds above all others in the area for quality, consistency, and care for your pet.
It took us 6 years to find the perfect groomer for our doodle Carl and I'm so thankful for Healthy Hounds! Before Tonya, my stomach would be in knots picking up Carl from his grooming, never knowing what to expect - but that never happens at Healthy Hounds. Tonya makes Carl look perfect every time, exactly what we want and asked for. She is kind, friendly, listens and is incredibly skilled. The entire staff is delightful and I've never been to a facility where the dogs seemed genuinely happy to be there. I cannot recommend this place enough!
We had Jessica groom our golden doodle and asked for a specific cut. Jessica was very attentive to details and Jade came out looking gorgeous. It was easy to drop off and pick her up in a timely manner. Excellent groom and we will be back. Thank you for providing us with such good service.
Shelby was slow to warm up to daycare but she now LOVES to go!! Her tail/butt wag as we approach the Healthy Hound facility and she seems very happy when we pick her up. She loves the staff and has met some playmates. It is so nice to know our girl is having a fun day when we're not with her.
We have been going to Healthy Hound in Sterling for grooming services for over 3 years and we love it. Everyone who works there is friendly and approachable. My 50lb dog is groomed there every 8 weeks or so and I am happy every time. They remember the details of the previous cuts , the groomer talks to me ahead of time to make sure she knows what I want, and they are super sweet with my dog. I would highly recommend Healthy Hound if you are looking for a new place to get your dog groomed.
Healthy Hound's groomers and staff are THE BEST! They always do an amazing job and our pup is always so happy and fresh when we pick him up. He gets the best treatment and can play with other pups while waiting to be picked up. Highly recommend them!
After been for more than 18 months taking my dog to one of the commercial famous brands for cares of dogs in the market I decided to give my dog a non utopian place for his care when I need to somebody take care of him. Nice and professional people here! Clean and smell good place. Professional work. Definitely if I need a boarding house for my furry boy I won’t hesitate to bring him to this place where I not doubt he will be ok.
I had an exceptional experience at Giving Tree Pet Resort with my beloved pet Dori and my pet friend Buzz. The staff members were incredibly knowledgeable and showed a lot of TLC to Dori and Buzz during our stay. It's evident that they truly love and understand pets. Dori seemed happy and well-cared for during our time there. I highly recommend Giving Tree Pet Resort to anyone looking for a place that treats your furry family members with the same love and care you do. Plus they have pick up and drop off services too. Thank you for making Dori's stay so wonderful!
My family recently boarded our pup at giving tree pet resort and had a great experience. We went overseas for about two weeks but felt very secure in our decision as we received many detailed updates and photos while we were away. Our dog, Misoo, gets very shy around people, but the care and attention they gave helped Misoo feel very safe and helped him warm up quickly! The facility is very nice and all the employees treat the dogs like their own. If you are looking for a safe and loving place to board your pups, giving tree pet resort is the place!! Here are some photos of Misoo they sent over while we were away :) Will definitely be coming back in the future!! Thank you to all at Giving Tree!
Our pup loves going here for daycare and boarding. They sometimes send picture updates and the facilities are beautiful. Grooming is also 10/10, her haircut looked flawless when we got it done there.
I’m hesitant to write this because we love this place so much we don’t want it to be too crowded! In all seriousness, we started taking Cheyenne to Giving Tree two weeks ago and she has been there every day since we started. Our Cheyenne was a bit timid after adopting her and the staff gave her lots of love and attention until our pup was comfortable. Speaking of the staff, they are wonderful. We felt like family immediately and really feel like we are dropping our pup off with close friends. Giving Tree is very clean, provides lots of personal attention (thank you Hayley), has great hours and like I said, the staff are incredible. We will keep bringing our Cheyenne while we work during the day and will always be comfortable knowing she is taken care of. Thank you Giving Tree for what you do. Don’t change a thing.
At the chaotic crossroads of my nomadic existence, Giving Tree Pet Resort in Reston emerges as an oasis of canine nirvana. Joker, my four-legged conspirator, finds solace and joy in the care of these pet whisperers. The Resort's aura, a blend of professionalism and genuine love for animals, creates an environment where chaos becomes camaraderie. Whether it's the daily escapades of daycare or the tranquil retreats of boarding during my international jaunts, Giving Tree Pet Resort stands as a testament to excellence in pet care. They've mastered the art of not just tending to, but truly understanding the complex souls of our loyal companions. For Joker and me, it's not just a boarding facility; it's a sanctuary where the howls of joy echo in every corner.
This place is fabulous. The grooming is second to none!!! I have had both Chico and Rocky groomed and have nothing but praise. Best cuts ever for both. Rocky really enjoys going to play with his friends. The staff is very caring and I feel it is a great place to trust your pet too. Here's Rocky enjoying his valentine day whipped cream. :)
I am very grateful and satisfied with the service provided by Giving Tree Pet Resort when I entrusted my dog to them during my vacation. They kept me informed about my dog’s well-being and even sent me pictures, allowing me to enjoy my vacation with peace of mind. Especially considering that my dog is timid and easily frightened, I was touched by the extra care and attention given to him by the staff. It was evident that every employee genuinely loves and cares for the dogs, which made me feel confident in leaving my dog in their care. I sincerely appreciate the service provided this time and plan to use their services again in the future. I would like to express my gratitude once again to all the staff members who love and care for dogs.
We’ve taken our dog Pango to daycare a couple of times and he loves it there! As soon as we pull into the parking lot, he always gets really excited. I can tell the staff takes really good care of him when he’s in their care. They have great prices and packages and an awesome staff!
We had a wonderful experience with Giving Tree Pet Resort for doggy daycare. Our dog was always excited to go and the staff was very friendly and caring. Highly recommend!
Becky's Pet Care watched over my animals during my week trip to Florida and I am very happy with the service. Care was given as instructed and on time every day. The portal allows for real time feedback with pictures. The price was also very reasonable. I highly recommend them to anyone.
I have yet to meet a pet walker that Strawberry didn't seem to like. But, I've gotta hand it to Edgar. He went above and beyond and dressed Strawberry in her red rain boots AND her yellow poncho. She doesn't care to get her paws wet. She seems very pleased with him and Becky's Pet Care Services all around. And so am I.
They fed my cat late, didn't clean the litter box, and refused to act differently. I called and left a voicemail and they emailed me telling me that they wouldn't service me anymore. Not every letting strangers in my house again.
Was a customer for over 11 years. Never had an issue, and then out of the blue they canceled my account and stated I was no longer a customer.
Great experience
I found the location perfect for times when I had major surgeries at nearby Reston Hospital. That was until 2015 when I was notified that one of my two dogs, a large mixed breed, had been taken to a vet with digestive issues. The whole thing was pretty vague, though. My dog didn’t seem to recover from being boarded there. It turned out he was suffering from the beginning of a painful death from bloat. He collapsed at home and I had to have a neighbor put him in my car because I couldn’t lift him due to my own surgery. He died in the car during the short drive to the emergency vet. I never posted anything in the years since but I never went back. After reading about the recent deaths at another area PetsHotel, I was reminded of my own experience with my dog, Potter, nine years ago. I’ve always wondered what really happened. I would recommend that no one board their pets at any of this franchise’s locations.
TL;DR - They are not cat friendly, keep looking. If you like your cats being whisked away to a vet every other day, this is the Pet Hotel for you! Do they need a reason? Not really. They will send your cat to the vet for, really any reason at all, and then tell you about it afterwards, even if you specifically ask them not to, as it will stress out your cat. We took our cats in twice, and both times they had vet visits for no reason. Even the vet was rather perplexed why they were brought for an examination. Also, if you really want to see for yourself just how they treat the cats, just pop-on in and see the cat hotel for yourself. They have a window you can peak into. The last time I saw it when I picked up my cats, it looked like it had not been cleaned in quite a while. In closing, I wont be taking my cats here again. Once I thought it was a fluke, but twice, after I specifically asked them to not take 'em to the vet without a serious cause or concern, is enough for me.
The PetsHotel in Reston, VA is very convenient for pet parents and pets can enjoy a comfortable stay.
Excellent
I had been having bad luck finding someone to walk our dogs mid-day. I had contacted larger services , but they did not have anyone available. I really wanted to deal with one person instead of an agency sending out someone I had never met and keeping my door code on file. Thankfully, I found Susan at Friend of a Friend Pet Care. She was able to come out at a time convenient to me to meet our family. The moment I opened the door I noticed that Susan had a calm demeanor, and the dogs loved her right away. Luna loves everyone, but sometimes she can be distracted, but she was very interested in Susan. Ginny can be iffy with some humans, but she also loved Susan right away. The big test was Lefty, the cat, who is very selective with humans. When I was showing Susan how to refresh Lefty's food, Lefty came to Susan and sniffed her and allowed her to pet him, usually he is not so fast to warm to someone new. After I gave Susan all of the information I could think of she asked some very good questions I had not thought of. She showed me her insurance and left me with a form to fill out. She was also reasonable about the pricing, and was able to customize her service for us. Susan has been taking care of them for a couple of weeks now. She has been very reliable. She texts me after walking them and lets me know how they did. It is great to have complete confidence in someone taking care of family members who cannot tell me if anything goes wrong. I highly recommend Friend of a Friend Pet Care.
I drive from Florida to visit my son and often wished there was a place to take care of our dog for few hours until.... Molly's dog care opened. We had seen it totally empty before construction had begun until it finally opened. Of course, I've researched many places, having lived in McLean and most recently in Reston. I have read all of the negative reviews that do not even pertain to Molly's dog care so let us concentrate on a brand new place without bashing what occurred at the different location. As you enter, it is classy and tastefully decorated. Place is impressively clean and one can only hope it remains the same. Look at the pictures I took and the various play areas for various size dogs. Owning a dog is no joke and most dogs are by far better than most human beings. If my dog loves being there, enjoys the facility and the interactions then I know the place is great. I also vetted and spoke with the owner Melody and some of the workers. Just as I had done leaving my kids with babysitters I also want to know who takes care of my dog. Give this place a chance and you will not regret it. Wishing Molly's a magnificent 2025 and keeping many dogs happy, well groomed and well cared for. Thank you for taking great care of our Golden retriever 😉
Leaving your dog somewhere is never easy—you want to be sure it’s safe, the staff is kind and attentive, the place is clean, and your pup feels comfortable. Molly's checks all those boxes and more. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel at ease with their welcoming attitude and genuine love for animals. They listen carefully to all the details you share about your dog, and it’s clear they truly care about every pup that’s there. My dog gets so excited when we arrive —she immediately runs to greet every staff member, whining with joy and waiting for her belly rubs! The team keeps you updated with photos and messages throughout the day, so you never have to worry. Plus, the facility is always spotless. It’s extremely refreshing to find a place that goes above and beyond, making sure both dogs and owners are happy. Highly recommend!
Our dog Olive drags us down the block to get to Mollys. He loves it here and the team does a great job keeping Olive happy. The place is clean and open. We are very grateful Mollys exists and he absolutely loves coming here. We feel our dog is in great hands.
Molly’s is absolutely amazing! From the moment I dropped off my pup, I could tell he was in great hands. Molly’s staff are incredibly attentive, kind, and truly passionate about dogs. My dog came home happy, well-fed, and even better behaved than before! The Reston location is clean and welcoming, and it’s clear the staff go above and beyond to ensure every dog feels at home. I couldn’t recommend Molly’s Dog Care more—it’s the perfect place for puppy and possibly future puppies too!
Fantastic experience! The staff at this location are caring, attentive, and truly love the dogs. My pup comes home happy, tired, and well-socialized every time. The facility is clean, safe, and full of fun activities. Highly recommend for any pet parent looking for peace of mind!
I recently relocated back to D.C., and I couldn’t be happier to have found the perfect daycare for my dog, Archie. From the moment we arrive, it’s clear how much he loves it—he doesn’t even say goodbye to me when I drop him off and is reluctant to leave at the end of the day! This speaks volumes about how happy and comfortable he is there. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, and I truly appreciate the regular updates they provide throughout the day. It gives me peace of mind knowing Archie is in such loving and capable hands.
It’s interesting that Molly Daycare is being described as different from District Dog, yet the building structure—with large windows and open spaces—seems almost identical. If safety is a key concern, shouldn't the building be designed differently? Also, wondering about the business name choice and how it connects to Jacob Hensley who is responsible for killing 10 dogs at District Dogs that was located on Rhode Island... One of his dogs name is Molly.. How Ironic??
Highly recommend!! My dog has only been twice but absolutely loved it. The facility is super clean and nice. The staff is friendly and attentive. I can tell they all care and love dogs. Thanks for a great experience so far and can’t wait to take my pup regularly.
I am incredibly impressed with the grooming service at Molly's. The online appointment scheduler and text notifications were seamless and efficient. The facility is modern, clean, and beautiful. The groomers, and the owner Melody in particular, clearly love the animals in their care. Lucy, my Australian Labradoodle, was way overdue for a bath and brush out and she returned to us in show dog condition! Thank you Molly's!
Our dog loves it! We started bringing him here due to return to work and both of us at the office for long days. He absolutely loves going, the team are super friendly and clearly dog people which brings major peace of mind! The whole place is super clean and really well taken care of. Lucky to have this in the neighborhood!
I’ve had great experience with this kennel. I was going on an international trip and needed to get in at the last minute when someone on Rover canceled on me. They stayed late, did everything they could so that my dog could be boarded. I would love to see the facilities, upgraded a bit.
DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE!!! As a favor, I picked up a close friend’s dog yesterday. The dog immediately went to the bathroom as I left the place. I was supposed to leave the dog at my friend’s apartment, but the dog was hyperventilating and I did not feel comfortable leaving the dog alone. I took the dog outside and I have never seen a dog pee so much in my life. I grew up with big dogs and I used to live with my friend’s dog. Within the next 3 hours, the dog needed to go to the bathroom 2 more time. It had appeared that they did NOT take the dog out at all that day. The dog was still hyperventilating after all those potty breaks. I checked her pick up bag to see if she had any food left. She had over half the food my friend sent which indicates THEY DID NOT FEED THE DOG FOR SEVERAL DAYS. The dog was so hungry after I fed her that she was licking the crumbs on the floor. I am very familiar with this dog and that is an abnormal behavior. I am extremely displeased with the dog’s experience. We are still monitoring her for health issues. Based on her behavior and the smell of the boarding facility, it appears she was kept in a cage without food and potty breaks. I have read other reviews that have mentioned this and the place just smells like the pets are sitting in feces all day. UPDATE: I saw the owner responded about the extra the food. I double checked the messages to my friend at the time. I asked how many bags the dog was sent with. After doing the math with the food left over and taking into account extra bags, the dog missed about half her meals. Also responding to the medical advice, I have watched the dog on several occasions and I have never seen the dog act like this. My friend has taken the dog to the vet in the past and this is not related to health issues. The facility did call my friend day of to let her know they did not take the dog out the last day. Honestly, this facility is grossly neglect with dogs….
Pet comes back distressed from this place. I believe the open runs are not for all pets. It’s a basic facility to keep pets for a day or two, if you don’t find any good care.
We've taken our two beagles here twice now! The staff is friendly! The place is clean and bright! They were allowed to kennel together! There was no problem giving meds to one who has a chronic condition. We asked for both group and individual playtime. The second time we took them there one dog was a little grumpy with the playgroup and they were quick to call to advise and we changed to more individual play! They enjoyed their vacation and were happy and chipper! They have groomers if you would like to have them pampered! They came home smelling great! They have a nice play area outside! The owner is our veterinary Dr. Easton, who is awesome! I highly recommend this daycare/hotel!
I had used Dulles Pet Hotel for years and always had a great experience. Somehow after my dogs most recent visit, he returned to me acting strange. He was treating his one foot gingerly and was very mopey and lathergic. I assumed he was just moody from being in the kennel for a few days. After taking him for a run the next day as I always do, I realized he was limping. I dropped off a perfectly healthy dog and got back a limping dog. Nobody at the Pet Hotel had any idea how this happened despite them supposedly providing 3 individual play times each day. They offered a courtesy exam but I was very dissatisfied with the doctor's approach on several aspects. The biggest issue is he insinuated the staff told him my dog regularly jumped against the cages and he probably hurt himself that way. I asked why nobody had ever mentioned this behavior to me before. He said, well not specifically your dog but some dogs. Which was not at all how he framed it at first. Furthermore, upon attempting to investigate the issue with management, I was informed of some issue with something from a previous stay months ago where something was going on with his nails. Nobody had ever communicated this issue to me. Bottom line after years of what I thought was good care of my beloved pet, I have lost any trust in this business caring for my dog. I will never return to this place after this experience!
Worst worst WORST place to bring your pet. First off my dogs were told they would get two group times one for each day of board. They didn’t get either one. When the kid came out to pick up the dogs they threw on the leashes and dragged them inside. Didn’t say hi or ask which one was which or anything. Not friendly and made me worried about leaving them there. ( one of my dogs is a 5 month old puppy) he said he would give them a potty break as an add in. WHAT? They don’t normally get a potty break? When we went to get them picked up they said they were “ too busy” to get their group time. When they handed us the dogs they just threw the leashes at us and forgot the bag I brought with them and had to go find it. The minute the dogs got outside they both peed for what seemed 5 mins straight as if they hadn’t been able to. When I asked to speak to the manager they said to write down my name and number and he would call back. A few hours later that same kid calls back and said the owner was too busy to talk to me and that he said I could get a free group time next time we brought them back. I said “oh we won’t be coming back!” This was so awful. Our oldest dog has been to many many facilities and have had great experiences. We were able to see them on camera and would get check ins. This place has me wondering what happened to them. Makes me so sad I cried on the way home. Please, if you love your pets don’t bring them here!!
What an awesome find! We just moved to VA and had to rely on on-line reviews when looking for a place to board our dog. It is very clear that the employees here love animals and love their jobs. They were extremely professional and friendly. The ladies at the front desk instantly made us feel comfortable and reassured about leaving our dog there for 9 days. When we picked our dog up, we got a frequent boarding card with NO expiration and a free vet examination if we have any concerns in the next 10 days! I highly recommend Dulles Executive Pet Center. I will definitely take our dog here if we should ever have to board him again.
If you love your pets, DO NOT board them with Dulles Pet Hotel. We gave this kennel a shot as our normal boarding facility was full. What a huge mistake. Our dog came home smelling terrible, his bed was lost at first (they didn't know which one was his - even though it has his name on it), and was completely covered in urine and dirt once they found it (stating it just came out of the laundry). The bag we provided with our dogs food and toys was lost, with them saying we don't know which one is yours (even though it is labeled with our name). They simply said, we can't find it, oh and we think your dog ran out of food. So, that's concerning since we packed a couple days extra food. Our dog came home pretty skinny compared to when we left him, and not at all clean. While we could not go in to see the facility due to COVID, we really have to wonder what the inside of the boarding facility looks like. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
My dog and I both love Dulles Pets Hotel and Daycare— I am confident my dog is getting the best care and playtime! He always leaves happy and it’s a great value too😁 …
A great pet hotel with decent prices for the area. Our dog always comes home absolutely exhausted from all the fun he’s had running around when we are gone. One thing to note is that you have to call when you get to the door and they come out to get the dog. They keep the doors locked so there is no access to the lobby.
