I cannot say enough nice things about Matt. His attention to detail and his thorough communication from our initial contact were refreshing and set us at ease. He sent regular updates and pictures of our pups having a blast and being well cared for. We knew that since we were leaving our 4 month old Weimaraner behind she would be a challenge, even for the most experienced sitter. Matt took all the puppy quirks in stride and when we got home, we could tell that she and our older Vizsla had made life long friends with Matt. As for the house care, I'm fairly certain that the house was in better shape than when he started since our two college aged daughters actually cared for the pups the week before Matt started and did the hand off to him - we know how messy they can be! Bottom line is that we loved Matt and hopefully he's available (and willing!) to sit for us again in the future.

Honest, Trustworthy & Reliable House and Pet Sitters
THIS is one of those reviews I don't want to give because I want to keep these two all to myself. Jake and Jill stayed with us 2x. The first time was for a few days with dogs, cats, sheep and poultry. The second time was for FIVE months. In MINNESOTA. In WINTER! They did an excellent job both times, but MInnesota in winter is a big deal. They handled feeding, water and some other issues perfectly. They are flexible and really rolled with various changes in dates and circumstances. They do not need tons of supervision but are happy to send pictures and give reports as often as you need it. We came home to a clean house with food in the fridge, including a sheep shaped cake! Please don't approve their application because I am trying to lure them into many more stays here.

Two responsible travelers who love spending time with animals!
Kate's partner Ben came and stayed with us for just 24 hours, and in those 24 hours, he did a LOT for us. Wow. He took our vizsla on two monster hikes. He called a vet to check about a wound our dog happened to acquire under Ben's watch. And he helped me personally with an errand that made my life a lot easier- something way above and beyond the Zeewoi expectations. We had several interactions, and I came away thinking he is a very mature, smart, caring guy who has an awesome way with animals. (And we have several- from a dog to two cats to a frog and all manner of creatures in my son's room.) Judging by Ben's character, I'm sure his girlfriend Kate is no slouch either! :)

This sit with Matt and Emily was OK but didn’t meet the home, pet care and communication standards as I hoped and of the many wonderful sitters I’ve had previously. For pet care, my cat must have been hungry during the week because when I got home there was dry dog food instead of cat food in the cat’s bowl. The dry cat food container is next to her canned food so I’m not sure how this could be mixed up. She expects and needs this food so this must have distressed her. I checked in and would ask how it’s going and get a quick and friendly reply but otherwise they never initiated any communication. The house wasn’t what I usually find coming home. In the walk through and written instructions, I ask that sitters put clean sheets on the bed and vacuum before they leave and neither were done. The dishwasher was full and needed to be emptied of their dishes. They didn’t pick up the mail. The catbox area had litter all over the floor. They didn’t recycle or compost and instead put everything in one bag. In other words, I felt like I had to clean up after them. Overall, they are a nice young couple and I wish them well but there's a lot of room for improvement.

Kelly was a wonderful pet sitter and house sitter! Our dog Cooper adored her. She sent us pictures several times a day and he was always snuggling with her. She kept in touch with us regularly. We have never left our baby before and we were anxious about it but we ended up feeling totally comfortable with Cooper in Kelly’s care. She also kept our potted plants alive during a heat wave and took great care of the house. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Angela did a great job caring for Willie for 10 days while we were out of town. She was easy to communicate with and kept us informed about Willie, along with sending photos of him out on walks and at the beach. Angela was very accomodating when we needed to come home a day early - Thank you! The house was left in good shape and it's clear that Angela is organized and reliable and clearly loves her pet charges. Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. Kelly and Chris are lovely people and we loved having them at the house! They were very engaged from the start, asking questions and wanting to know all the details on our pets. We were completely comfortable going away and didn’t worry during our trip knowing our kiddos were in such great hands. K & C gave us pics & updates as requested, and we loved seeing our pets have such a good time with them! They left the house in as good or better shake as it was found, laundering and folding linens and tidying up so well we could hardly tell they stayed here! Anna was the perfect sitter for Tali, Mac and Sox. From the first moment we met Anna we all got on extremely well and we had no worries about leaving our pets in her safe hands. Neil and Anne have just sat for us for a second time, for a week. They are outstanding sitters in every way. Always punctual with communication and arrival. They both have responsible jobs and this is evident as they are both very organised. They care very much about the animals they look after. We were regularly sent updates, pictures and video clips of them, which is great to see when you are away. When we came home we were greeted by happy pets and an immaculately tidy house. We cannot recommend Neil and Anne enough. As far as we are concerned they are perfect housesitters! …...Hopefully they will come back and sit again soon!
