Crystal is awesome and is always so accommodating! She always shares so much knowledge with me about my dogs and things I can do to improve their wellbeing. I love how much thought she puts into her work, she always does amazing and makes sure my doggies are comfortable.

WARNING!!!! I hired Crystal to come to my home to clean the litter box, feed and check on my two cats while I was on vacation. Crystal shut all the doors in my home locking one of my cats in my bedroom without food, water or access to a litter box. My friend, whom was asked to check on the cats on a day Crystal was not hired to do so, discovered my cat meowing loudly in my house that stunk of cat urine. This was on the fourth day of my vacation. Crystal admitted to shutting the doors on Monday and claims that she did not hear the cat meowing on Wednesday. The cat was discovered on Thursday. Please DO NOT HIRE this business!!

If I could give crystal 10 stars I would! She was amazing with our 7 week old husky. She also trimmed our puppies nails for free and gave her a wash as well. Crystal has an amazing Facebook page as well with amazing tips and tricks for training dogs and funny jokes. Also once we got her back she wasn't biting us as much so our puppy being around the other dogs really helped her develop as a puppy. She had a multitude of different breeds so that helped our husky get used to other dogs of various sizes. Next time we come back to camp in the area we will definitely be using her! She is amazing with dogs and puppies!

I can not recommend Crystal's Complete Dog Service enough. She took excellent care of my dog. She even sent me daily updates and pictures to put my mind at ease. He looked like he was having so much fun. Great communication, great service, great person..Next time I go out of town I can be sure my dog is in great hands.

Took my dog to her doggie daycare. Received a phone call from a lady that found my dog running loose on Rt 175, almost got hit several times. Lady kept my dog safe n sound at her house. I went to Crystals to pick up my dog even though I knew he wasn't there....and Crystal had "no knowledge" that he had gotten out 1 hour ago. Her lack of responsibility for watching my dog is despicable. She should be ashamed of herself for allowing this to happen. I would never ever recommend her to have a doggie daycare business.

Crystal took care of both my dogs and my 30 chickens, while we were away at Disney for a week. She sent photos of the dogs, she was in constant contact with us for the dogs and the chickens. She came over late at night when the power went out to make sure that the chickens had heat and that the heat was back on in the house. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is in need of a pet service.

I stayed at the KOA near Crystal and needed dog care to go to the beach. I have 3 dogs!! The KOA gave me her number and basically, Awesome place for your dogs to stay! Easy to communicate with and have dog care. I called to drop dogs off for the day and immediately said yes and had the dogs there within no time. Cut the dogs nail and also washed with her awesome shampoo! Then she also was able to keep them over night! Very flexible and loves dogs! I felt very comfortable leaving them there! Highly recommend!

I left my XL dog with Crystal Kellenberger this weekend and i have a couple things to say about her and the way she runs her business. First of all, Max has never been dropped off at a kennel ever. This was his first time going somewhere where he would be with a bunch of other dogs. I was extremely nervous to say the least, I mean with a dog Max's size and smarts, if you dont know what youre doing, literally anything could happen. Well guess what... Crystal handled my dog from the moment we got there with such AMAZING expertise and professionalism, she was welcoming to Max while at the same time establishing herself as leader. Mrs. Crystal is fantastic. I came down for pony penning with my 7 year old rat Terrier. My fiancé and I planned to go onto Assateague but needed someone to watch our little guy while we were gone. She was very accommodating on such short notice. Highly recommended to anyone with a pet traveling to Chincoteague and needs a loving caring doggy sitter. Thanks again!

Our pup goes weekly and comes home exhausted after playing with other dogs. The staff is friendly and caring. The building and grounds are well kept.

Joyce and the staff are wonderful with our two Rottweilers! They maintain our regular schedule for feeding, walks, etc. so there's no adjustment period when the dogs come home. The building is exceptionally clean and spacious, with plenty of safe outdoor space for playing. The pups are always excited to go, and they are calm and happy when they come home. And I get peace of mind while I'm away because I know they are well cared for.

Cider loves going to puppy camp here! The owner and staff clearly love the animals they care for and are very accommodating. They facility is clean and has a variety of play spaces both indoors and out to keep pups interested in their surroundings. The proof for us is how excited Cider is when he realizes he's just arrived at Seaside Pet Resort...he willingly runs up to greet the staff and can't wait to go inside to meet new friends. That always makes us feel at ease and we know he'll be happy and well cared for until our return.

This is the one of the best place on the shore for boarding dogs. They have a large fenced in area for dogs to play the in. They also have a indoor play area for rainy days. This is a great place to bring dogs.

Junior loved coming here. He was always treated like family. Joyce and her staff are second to none.

We recently returned from a 2-week Italy vacation and were extremely anxious in arranging quality care for our 2 dogs. One a 6-year-old, energetic Lab and the other, a 16-year-old, deaf, arthritic but oh so sweet, American Eskimo mini. We had never left them for such a long period. Our 16-year-old required special attention. Amber’s team provided overnight care, mid-day walks and evening meals and feeding. All services/appointments were on-time and provided by caring and affectionate walkers. They provided many snapshots, and detailed reports of their time spent with our pets. I venture to say that our pups did not miss us! Amber’s intake form was extremely thorough and well thought-out. The portal used for scheduling, reporting, and invoicing is very easy to use. All communications are sent to your email as well as being available on the portal. Any questions/concerns we had were answered and resolved by Amber promptly. Beach Buddies is such a gift! Amber and her staff have made it possible to go away and not worry about our two Labradors. We haven’t had that luxury in quite a long time. We received pics and notes throughout the day after each visit. Their attention to detail (following our feeding instructions, exercise schedules, etc.) made it seem like we never left! They love dogs — pets in general. The only downside: Lola and Callie (our labs) expected the generous playtime, attention, and general cuddle time to continue after we got home. I can’t recommend Beach Buddies enough. They are reliable, provide updates and most importantly, are great with my pets. I have one huge dog (Newfoundland) and a medium dog (golden retriever) and have no worries that they can easily handle them.

Beach buddies is a wonderful company! All the sitters are great animal lovers and always sends us lots of pictures of our cats. They are great and I'm so happy I found them :)

My dog, Kiara absolutely loves this place. And the best part is she plays all day so when she gets home she is exhausted and knocks out so it's perfect. She has her bestie, skye, whom she loves. I am very particular when it comes to my baby and I would not trust another day care facility other than bay rivers. And can I just say, as careful and considerate that these staff memeber can be we all need to remember these are animals with whom they wrestle and play with each other. A few scratches and markings are literally no big deal that is how animals play. If you don't like it, keep your dog separate from other animals. All the employees are amazing and very friendly.

I cannot say enough good things about these folks. Our pug is in a wheelchair so there are some challenges in caring for him. But the staff at Bay Rivers were so wonderful and attentive to all of his needs. He didn't even want to leave when I picked him up. I cannot recommend this facility enough! We will absolutely be back.

I would never take my dog anywhere Elsa. The team truly puts passions and hard work into the care of the animals. I feel like when I leave my girl she is safe and well taken care of which is not how I have felt in other locations such as petsuites and care a lot. If my dog could write this review, she would say this is "the bestest place ever." The staff is amazing and take amazing care of the dogs. They send the best report cards, which are very informative and thoughtful. They take the most awesome pictures and create a great atmosphere. In addition to the socialization my dog receives, she also benefits from the training they provide.

First day for my dog today. I have nothing but amazing things to say! Kylie (I believe that was her name) was super nice and helpful during check in! Explained stuff perfectly for me! The gentleman that called me at 11am was also super informative on how my baby’s evaluation for daycare went! They even let him stay the rest of the day! When pick up time rolled around, he was still outside. 💙 I could hear his little play barks! 🥰 I expected to be paying for a full day of daycare since he was there from 7am to 4:15pm but I was surprised that there was no charge since it was his eval day! They even told me that he would get a peanut butter kong over lunch for his first day and that made my heart and my husbands heart so happy! We will absolutely continue to use them for daycare and even boarding when it’s needed in the future! 💙

Update Jan 2023: They are not at the same level as before after reopening. One of the reasons I brought my pups here is that their were knowledgeable trainers incorporated into the daycare. I mean they would take aggressive dogs. Now they can even handle my 2 boys that came for 2+ years for daycare & boarder. On evaluation they feel they can’t handle my dogs because one is missing an eye and the other is protective of his brother. They used to just separate them into different groups. They didn’t even attempt on the re-evaluation to keep them together. This only means staffing isn’t adequate and/or the training from off leash isn’t good. Either way if you used to bring your pup here know they can’t handle normal dog behavior. Disappointed they were wonderful sad to see there just no good places in the Hampton roads area. Only positive is the place is still nice & the staff were polite. I can’t say enough good things about Bay Rivers! I took my boys in for an evaluation & play day (and since have boarded them multiple nights)! The staff was knowledgeable about dogs and their interactions. They even took extra time to get my little guy settled in when he was being a little fiery and overprotective of his brother! I highly recommend them!

Bay Rivers Boarding & Daycare’s staff have done an amazing job with my dog Stella! She was very nervous and stand-offish her first few days, as she had previously been with unfamiliar dogs, but the staff were very accommodating and worked with her to help her make new furry friends. Stella now has a great time playing with other dogs of all ages and sizes. The transition I saw from the daily report cards over the course of a week of boarding and daycare was unbelievable! The daily report cards with cute pictures and videos of play time along with a description of how the day went are great! She went from trying to hide in the corner at first to now playing with the dogs while also begging for all of pets and belly rubs from the staff. The staff truly love all of the dogs there and work hard to make sure the dogs all have a good time. Stella now loves seeing all of her friends when she goes into daycare and comes home worn out ready to snuggle after a fun day of playing! Highly recommended Bay Rivers for both both Boarding and Daycare!

I’ve used Kevertin pet resort for years and no other grooming company compares! My dog is quite the menace and has been turned down at most places but I’ve never had any issues with them and best part is he always comes out looking handsome every time🐶 …

Kevertin is the best. The people that work here love my pet and she's quite ok with going there and she likes the handlers. She comes here to play with other dogs and also gets kenneled when we go somewhere and can't take her

Excellent! Family owned/ran, kind, compassionate. My puppy did great during her overnight stay (4 or 5 nights) and came home bathed, brushed, happy! All her items/toys she came with were categorized and returned laundered! I brought the pup back for grooming along with my other dog and they did an amazing job! The last 2 photos are before pix. Very reasonable cost also. My chihuahua terrier is very unruly when it comes to getting his nails trimmed (no luck at Petsmart, they refused bc he tried to bite, & the vets will do it but it took 2 ppl to hold him down, muzzle etc). Well, at Kevertin it only took one person (Willa I believe) and they had no problem to report when I asked how he did. I could also tell he was calm when I picked him up, not scared and shaky as per usual. I love this place and highly recommend!

A very professional well-run kennel that really is all about the dogs under their care. We’ve used the kennel for overnight stays and also the day care. I was impressed by their careful evaluation of our dog.

Very happy with our pups 1st overnights away from home. Staff is very helpful and experienced. The whole package from extra playtime to grooming made us more than likely to return. Traveller made some new friends without a doubt.

Planning to leave our dog with Kevertin for an upcoming vacation. Since this will be her first time, we visited 2 well known sights. We were impressed with their set up, tour of the facility and attention to our concerns. They have a set price that includes everything for your pet including play time, medications and special needs. No multiple upgrade fees like the other place we visited. They also offered a visitation day at no cost for our dogs introduction and ability to become familiar with the resort and staff.

My dog gets major boarding stress and anxiety but when I leave her at Kevertin I can feel confident they are taking good care of her. I can call anytime and get reassured she is doing ok. She makes out just fine. She is 14 and mostly deaf. This is a picture of Peaches.

I can’t say enough about Kevertin. We’ve loved them to pieces, since our last older lab, Rudy… and now, our 13 month old labradoodle. These folks are wonderful. He comes home happy. What more can you want?

The team at K9 Heeling are completely devoted to their craft and to the dogs they train. They are experts at teaching both dogs and their owners. I would highly recommend them for boarding, training, and even for virtual training sessions. We have done all of the above with great outcomes.

My 10 month old pup had an awesome 3-week training experience at K9 Heeling with Sam W. He has learned so much to improve his behavior. He has learned to walk with me and not pulling me to where he wants to go. He has learned to sit and wait for my ok to enter or exit a doorway. He’s much more relaxed and happy these days. He and I continue to work to implement the awesome training he received at K9 Heeling and the other training such as “off leash”, etc.

We have used K9 healing from puppy training through adult boarding. Our dog is always excited to go and happy when we pick her up. We love the daily instagram posts so we can watch her enjoy playtime. It’s like summer camp for dogs!

K9 Heeling has been the best thing that has happened for our dog Maui and us. She went through their 3 week training program when she was 8 months old and came home a very well behaved pup. She now loves to go to day play where she gets to play all day with her friends while also receiving group training. Mitch and his crew are so awesome. We live the travel baseball life and I never have any concerns leaving our dogs here. Our Layla has some special needs and they are so patient with her and I see improvements in her when we return, even when she is just there for boarding not even refresher training. We have a timid dog who doesn't take to every canine he meets. Mitch and his staff understands this and matches his playmates perfectly. Recently, we had the opportunity to be a part of a day "PAWliday Party" This gave us so much reassurance that Jack truly loves this place, and so do we.

I don’t trust just anyone with my dog, but I totally trust K9 Heeling. My dog went thru their training and the outcome was great. I have also boarded my dog there a couple of times in the last 2 months and it is comforting to know he is being taken good care of. I would definitely suggest them

The change in Lars, my tweenie dachshund, since he started attending DayPlay has been amazing! He was very reactive to other dogs -- unless they were dachshunds. It was hard to take him on walks because he would bark and pull on his leash when he saw other dogs on the street. He is no longer reactive with smaller dogs, and wants to make new friends. We're still working on his reaction to larger dogs in the neighborhood, but he is improving. Thank you K9 Heeling for making our lives with Lars more enjoyable!

I want to say I am so glad to have came here! We were able to do a meet and greet just to get my cane corso accustomed to being groomed. Once my dog started getting anxious they didn't push and allowed her time to calm down. Thank you for not pushing Mazikeen away!

We've been bringing our dogs here since just after this wonderful place opened. One was a big Malamute mix, the other a German Shepherd. There is no other kennel like this one. The pups are taken care of with all love and attention. Kennels are large and immaculate, the small size ensures the pups don't get neglected or lonely, and they show they love the place by dashing over to Tammy as soon as we arrive and they get out of the van. Only kennel I know of where you never ever get a whiff of anything stinky. Also the owners go to so much trouble for special needs dogs, like our ancient Malamute. Just the best place ever.

The owners of this kennel are welcoming and understanding with you and your dogs. They comfort you by reassuring you your animals will be safe while you are away. Very reasonable pricings too!

Anna was amazing!!! Can’t describe how great our experience was. We needed last minute help and she saved the day for us. Our dog is a big boy & can be a handful sometimes, but Anna handled and took care of him with so much love! He was spoiled and cared for as if he was her own. We highly recommend her and will definitely use Anna in the future anytime we bring our bud 🐾 ♥️

We have used Anna's services multiple times rather for just the day or for a week for vacation. My 1.5 year old aussiedoodle, Griffey, stayed with Anna for a full week while I was on vacation. She took him to the dog park, went on walks, and he was able to have lots of interaction time with other dogs. It was great knowing he was being so well taken care of while I was away. Communication was great and Anna was very flexible with pickup/drop off times. It was great receiving photos and videos of my pup having fun throughout the week. Griffey loved his time with Anna and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter in the area!

Anna has watched our Golden, Luka, for over a year, and she is hands down the best sitter around. She truly loves animals and it shows in our pup’s tired, happy face when he comes home from his weekly play dates. Not only is he well taken care of- Anna also makes sure to send cute pictures/videos of him and his friends! I couldn’t recommend her more.

We have an exuberant 8 month old puppy we needed to board for a little over a week and Anna didn't hesitate to say yes to handling him for us. We went away feeling confident he was in good hands. Anna cared for our 15 year old Pomeranian for several days during a recent trip. Because he is a senior dog, we rarely board/leave him overnight. He acclimated very quickly to Anna and her home. We received daily updates and pics and could see that he looked relaxed and happy. Bubba returned clean, calm, and cute(!), just as we left him. Anna provides a professional service, insuring all dogs in her care are up to date with shots, as well as providing billing info and receipts. Bubba says he had a great time and he highly recommends Miss Anna for dog boarding and/or pet sitting.

We were so happy to have Anna help with our pup Harley. Communication was easy and Anna and her team were very flexible as it relates to walking times in conjunction with our daily plans while we were on vacation. Anna was awesome! She has a great space and a great backyard for dogs to run around. She was very communicative. Always texting us pics and giving us updates. Our dog Sparky seemed to love it there and we will definitely use Anna’s Pet Sittijg again!

We were very pleased with Anna's services. It was the first time we ever left our fur babies home alone and it was comforting to know they were being well looked after. Anna kept us updated with daily reports as well as some cute pics of our puppies. We would definitely use her again!!!

My wife, daughter, and I visited chincateaque for my daughters 2nd birthday after my daughter fell in love with horses. We did not know you could not have dogs in the car while seeing the wild ponies. Anna responded quickly and was very reasonably priced. Our 11 year old Aussie/border collie mix had never previously been left with a sitter but Anna did a great job and I even sent us picture updates. To top it off, she gave us a local recommendation which was amazing.

We had to make last minute arrangement for our 7 month old Golden to be walked while we were at an Oyster Festival. We had no idea we could not leave the festival once we entered. Hulda was wonderful and clearly lives what she does. Our pup was very happy and content when we got home.

Hulda was very responsive to my initial email inquiry and accommodated our needs perfectly. Misha, our 1 year old golden retriever, enjoyed the stay and was resting after a game of fetch when we went to get her. What an awesome service fo provide for those of us who want to see the sites that don't allow dogs, even in the car. I highly recommend them!

Our Italian Greyhound, Sammy, stayed with Hulva for 5 hours an Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday. When we picked Sammy up on Saturday she seemed like she had a great time. and when we dropped her off on Sunday she happily rushed to the door to get inside to see Hulva and the dogs. Hulva is located near Main Street and the beach in Chincoteague, so its really easy to drop your dog off for beach time (no dogs allowed at the Wildlife Refuge) and pick her up when you're all done. It was so much more comfortable than leaving her in the hotel room or in a kennel back home. Also, Hulva's rates for caring for Sammy were very reasonable, so it wasn't cost-prohibitive for us either. Her house and yard were extremely neat and tidy and offered a great environment which I felt completely comfortable leaving Sammy in. Hulva is just what you need if you want to bring your dog with you to Chincoteague.

If my dog couldn't go to the beach with me, at least she had a fun day too. I don't think she missed me at all! We are very satisfied.
