Experienced Responsible, Retired gentleman seeking to enjoy our beautiful country and beyond!
John came on his own and seemed perfectly happy to hang out with the dog. They bonded instantly and I had no qualms Bertie wouldn’t be well cared for. We gave John the use of our car and he enjoyed exploring areas where Bertie would be able to enjoy lots of smells. John checked in with us on a daily basis with photos and reports. The house was in good shape and he’d even done linens and remade the bed. Very thoughtful. John is a very nice fellow who really loves animals.

Love cats--conjuring up the next travel adventure!
Lesley and Tim were truly wonderful cat sitters- they showed up prepared with notes and questions, hit it off with my cats immediately, and were communicative throughout my trip. I came home to a very clean apartment and happy cats! They would be more than welcome to stay again.

Retired nurse and flight attendant traveling the world!
Julia had favorited my listing, and after reading her profile, I private invited her to see if she was interested in my sit, and she was! Process went smoothly, great communication before and during the sit. She coordinated with me on her arrival time and picking up keys (as it was agreed that she'd arrive after I'd left), sent me a pic/text when she arrived, and then sent a few pics over the days I was away which I always love to see. When I came home, I found Bootsie lazing contentedly. He was not skittish at all = happy! My home was clean and tidy. I plan to keep Julia "starred" and will invite her to future sits on chance she might come back again.

Enjoy Worry-Free Travel with Emily, A Reliable and Caring Pet Sitter
Emily was a stellar sitter. She was communicative throughout and took such good care of our dog Fonny. She also helped us out by coordinating with a repair man while we were away. We came home to a clean house and even a few little gifts! We would invite Emily back to sit in a heartbeat, and anyone would be lucky to have her!

Lila & Al once again took excellent care of our cats, and our home. We received great communication, and pictures of Cumbia and Frevo. Lila was able to also help us with some package deliveries while we were traveling. Look forward to having them house sit again.

Susan Nannette
Susan was fantastic. We needed to do a virtual handover and so took a few additional calls prior to her arrival and messages. She gave me extra confidence by the questions she asked about Baci and clearly taking notes. She sent regular updates and some with pics showing that Baci was truly enjoying being the only child and getting all of Susan’s attention. All in all it was a great experience and would recommend Susan for your sit.

Dependable, Respectful, and an Excellent Caretaker of Your Pets and Home
Patricia was a lovely pet sitter and was very understanding about potential issues with my elderly cat. She sent regular updates and my verrry shy cat was apparently quite taken with her. I had expected my cat to hide most of the time but she was hanging out with Patti within 24 hours.

I felt that my dogs were in good hands with Billy & Cherice - both pups seemed happy and well cared for when I returned from my 3-week trip. My home was also clean and tidy. This was my first experience using an unknown sitter and I felt nervous to leave my dogs for so long while traveling abroad. If they were to stay again I would request more regular photo updates, but otherwise was very happy with Billy and Cherice's pet and home care.
Angela did a great job caring for Willie for 10 days while we were out of town. She was easy to communicate with and kept us informed about Willie, along with sending photos of him out on walks and at the beach. Angela was very accomodating when we needed to come home a day early - Thank you! The house was left in good shape and it's clear that Angela is organized and reliable and clearly loves her pet charges. I'd recommend Angela and will definitely include her as one of our top sitter choices in the future! Thanks again, Angela!
Mary Jessica was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our GIANT dog Mamma Mia. She took extremely good care of our house with it cleaner than we left it upon our return. Our neighbors remarked on all the walks she gave Mamma and Mamma seemed very pleased with the entire experience. Mary Jessica was self sufficient, needing very little instruction outside of our Welcome Guide. She followed everything I wrote and asked how much communication I’d want. I’m very pleased and would both recommend her and love to have her again.
What a lovely couple Tara and Tyler are. They had been in Scottsdale about six weeks before the house sit. and can to meet us. Rusé, our Toy Fox Terrier, fell in love with them immediately, and was in Tara’s arms within two minutes. We always like our sitters to arrive the day before we leave, take them out to dinner and get to know them. It was quite apparent from the videos and photos we received, that Rusé did not miss us. Tara and Tyler’s three grown up children joined them before Xmas-to Rusé’s delight as these were additional hands to throw his rubber bones and balls. The house was all clean and tidy, when we returned.. There is a strong possibility that Tara and Tyler will move to Arizona from Montana, with two of their children, recently moved to the area. They have already offered to look after Rusé in the future. We know he would love it. We cannot recommend Tyler and Tara higher enough, they were perfect House and Pet sitters
I enjoyed meeting Samara. Sosha arrived after I left so we only communicated in writing. Samara is a sweet, considerate pet sitter. She brought her cat, who posed no difficulties to my pets. Samara was in good communication with me during her stay. She used my car without incident. My home was left much cleaner than upon her arrival. Samara proved to be an honest and responsible pet sitter and I would open my home to her at any time in the future.
Kate was an excellent house sitter and pet sitter. She was thoughtful, sensitive, and attuned to our cats and the particulars of our house. It was really easy to communicate with her and she was responsible and conscientious about everything. When we came back our cats seemed unfazed by our return which was a great sign and it was obvious that she spent lots of time with them and gave them lots of love. The house was spotless on our return and she even alerted us to a health matter in one of our cats. She sent lots of cute updates and was easy going when we messed up a logistical detail on our end. Just a delightful person all around. I'd love to have her come again and if you have a chance to have her housesit, jump on it. She is a gem.
Angie and her husband Joe were a great fit for our house and pet sitting needs! They kept in communication with us before our vacation started, and were able to arrive a little early so we could walk them through how various systems worked and where controls were located. Our dog bonded with Angie very quickly and I think he was hoping she would stay after we returned home :) We got regular updates and pet photos while we were traveling. Although we were out of cell phone range for several days, we never had a doubt that things at home would be just fine while they were there! They were also very flexible and understanding. Due to our flight schedule we arrived home in the middle of the night. Angie was able to feed and walk our dog, clean up and leave in the morning without waking us up! The house was left clean, the garden was thriving and our pup was happy. We are happy, and would be happy to have them back again as sitters anytime.
Jeremy and Brooke were fantastic! We have a senior dog and a over hyper pittie. They gave Daisy her meds and had lengthy walks with Fin to burn off some of his energy. Brooke sent me regular texts to show me precious pictures of the pups by the Christmas tree, which warmed my ❤️. The house looked great when we returned. They are awesome detailed sitters and will make your pets feel loved and secure!!
Toby and we were SO lucky to have Tom be our home and pet sitter for our Thanksgiving Holiday trip! From the very beginning Tom was responsive and communicative. He was even able to arrange a "meet and greet" with us and Toby before beginning his stay. While here Tom took great care of our home, and, most importantly, provided wonderful care of Toby! When we got home everything was in perfect order and we could tell that even though Toby was happy to see us he was going to miss Tom. I would be thrilled if we could have Tom as our zeewoi again. You will be lucky if he can do the same for you. :)
If you’re lucky enough to find Anna as your pet sitter you will have peace of mind and well cared for pets whilst you are away and a clean and tidy home on your return. Anna is thoughtful and kind, she arrived the evening before the sit which allowed for some time to hear about her interesting travels and work, kept me updated with fabulous photos and details of the friendship she was making with the cats and even took the trouble to fix a sticky catch on the cat flap. I can recommend her as a sitter without hesitation. Thank you Anna

Well managed, extremely clean and staff is well trained and friendly. My dog grew up in multiple daycare environments and when he comes home from PETiculars he is clean, doesn't smell, and isn't stressed out. You can tell he's well cared for, and has been given individual care and played with. The cost is straight forward with no hidden fees and I love that there are a clear number of staff to dog ratios that makes me feel safe dropping off my dog and know he's being watched closely and not getting lost in a mix. Every holiday it feels like there are adorable "school pictures" shared, and every time I pick my dog up I get a personalized and detailed update on how he did that day from a staff member. If something new is going on, customers are updated by management, and I feel everything is very upfront, straightforward and transparent. Highly recommended!
PETiculars is an amazing daycare for dogs. It is very clean, never overcrowded and the staff is always friendly. There is plenty of space so that dogs with different levels of energy can each do their own thing. Amber enjoys relaxing on a cot in the sunshine while other dogs are running around and having too much fun! Pictures and videos of the dogs are posted throughout the day. Boarding and nail trims are also available.
Best staff!! They treat my pup like family! Very accommodating. 10/10 recommend!
This day care center is excellent! 5 stars across the board, from the owner/operator who goes to the greatest lengths to make sure the dogs are happy, safe, clean, and taken care of from a-z. It is a meticulous, cheery place with an outstanding owner. Can't say enough great things, after many years of experience with the owner...excellent all around.
I took my pup Tobie there many times and he loved it..Last visit was in 2020... I was so glad to see that this business is still doing well..
We love Peticulars The staff is caring and pleasant The facility is accommodating and clean The feedback is always prompt and in detail Always a smile Maggie is happy there
Clean facility. Some of the best staff. Pups are treated like family. Highly recommend.
If you are planning to do dog daycare in Cape Cod during summertime- make sure you reserve a spot few months before. It is a lesson for me to learned. One of my dogs have separate anxiety. It has been stressful for me to leave him home alone. Lucky, I found Peticulars. Owner showed me around their cute daycare first. Workers are so friendly and welcoming. They are very communicative. My level of stress went down to 0%. They spoke highly of my dogs. It’s like they pay attention to my dogs. Also, one of them were able to trim my Teddy’s nails with no problem. My local daycare in my hometown couldn’t do this. Highly recommend! I will be back when I am back to Cape Cod. Thank you!
I spend a lot of time on the Cape with my daughter and grand kids. Our dog is a rescue and we take him everywhere with us. But I needed a place to leave him on days when it is too hot or cold for the car: a place I trusted, a place where he would be properly and well taken care of. I found that place at PETiculars. I called them one morning, went over within the hour to tour the place, and was able to leave my dog that same afternoon for a few hours. He loved it there. And he came home happy and tired. The staff were friendly and informative. They clearly knew dogs. I recommend PETiculars highly. Of course, I'd rather keep them a secret so I can be sure of an open spot for my pup! It is a small facility, so call ahead. These guys are so good, they will become very popular. Prices were very reasonable. One drawback, they don't do overnights right now. Thanks for taking such good care of Sebastian!
We absolutely love Peticulars! Pups (Chloe - a 14 lb. Yorkie and Chaz - a 84 lb Doodle) love coming to play! They don't look back once they go through the doors and guaranteed to be exhausted when they come home! The staff are loving and caring and owner, Linda, is the best! I trust the pups here cause they treat them like our fur babies, with love and care! Highly recommend!
Training at Howl-a-Day. This is the last thing I want to do. But I feel compelled to write this review to save even just one person from spending way too much money on a subpar training experience. I was quoted a price—in person by Matt, the owner—of $1400.00 for 10 training sessions. After 6 sessions, I was told that they would not be providing any more lessons because I opted not to use e-collars. I had told Matt on day one that I wasn’t sure about using e-collars on my dogs. He assured me that he could still train without the e-collars, but that it might just take a little longer to get them there. On the day of our sixth training, his employee told me we were done, then followed me to my car to get the e-collars back. I was shocked! I reached out to Matt, upset and confused, only to be told that he would not be doing further training with us because we weren’t using e-collars. For $1400.00 my dogs learned basic puppy-class skills: sit, down, stay, heal, and come. I could have learned this for free on YouTube, or for a fraction of the cost at a puppy training class at Pet Smart! My dogs already knew sit, come, and down before I ever took a class. Matt has promised me a refund, but months have passed and no refund has been given. He has told me I was threatening him because I told him I felt obligated to write a review. He lied to me about what he told me on day one. He also had me sign paperwork that was not filled in at the bottom. He later used that paperwork against me after he filled it in to fit his narrative. I questioned his integrity which really upset him. But honestly, who would pay $1400.00 with little to no results?! My advice, and what I learned through this experience is, get everything in writing! Take pictures of everything you sign! Don’t trust blindly. And do more research. Had I asked around, I would have never gone to Matt for training. This is your sign to make a better choice for yourself, your dog, and your wallet! He doesn’t care about you or your dog. He only cares about the money!
I adopted a 2 year old dog from Aruba. They are highly intelligent and very observant. My Ellie was a challenge and I wasn't sure I did the right thing by saying yes, I'll take her. Howladay came to the rescue. They are a great group of people who know what they're doing. Once a week I went with Ellie for her Miss Manners training. Each time I pulled into the parking lot she became very excited and couldn't wait to get started with the next class. It was definitely the positive energy and we both felt it.
Our Boston Terrier, Lucy was boarded with Howl a Day for the last two weekends. She was great when we picked her up. A little tired but healthy and happy. We are happy to have Howl a Day available for day care or boarding when needed. They do a great job and take good care of pets in their care. Thank you.
Lynn and Matt are the kindest owners. I work and have four kids and really needed doggie daycare for my energetic puppy Millie. Once carefully checking her vaccines and an evaluation they determined she could join the other dogs, and she had a fantastic time. I can’t recommended this Diamond on the Cape enough to dog owners more highly. I wish there were 100 stars!
Matt and the trainers at Trainer K-9 are A+. They did an amazing job transforming our shy and skiddish dog, Willow, into a confident pup. Willow was so fearful of loud noises, people, dogs barking, and the general noises of living in the city. After 3 weeks of boarding school, she came back way more confident. Though she still gets fearful at times, we now know how to handle those instances and she is trusting us more. We’re now able to go on walks and to places we never could before! The best part is Willow is still her silly self, just smarter and less fearful. She continues to improve each day and we appreciate the follow up training sessions to keep us on target!
The team here is absolutely incredible, you can tell they run a well-oiled machine and take care of the dogs so we’ll. We boarded our 3 dogs last weekend and asked if they would be able to send us a few pictures and they were happy to oblige. Dogs came home pooped and happy. We’ll be using their services again during our next trip to Cape Cod 😄
Tried these folks recently for boarding. Place is clean, well run, etc. Rate is $100 a day for my 2 dogs to board. Dropped them Friday at 4PM, picked up 1155 AM Sunday. Received a quick lecture on making sure I am there by noon for pickup, which I was. Then told I owed another $65 on top of the $200 I already paid. Charge was for day care? Asked if they were there less than 48 hours, why the extra. Was told if I dropped at 8AM on Friday and picked up by 11AM Sunday (51 hours of their time) it would only be $200. Because I picked up after 11AM (44 hours of their time) I had to pay extra. That math doesn't add up.
Always comfortable leaving my small dog Murphy at the Holiday inn, they did not disappoint this time as well. They were there to greet him and very happy to see him, they led him away from me nicely and with his confidence in their ability to take care of him. I did not worry about his well-being while I was away for 4 days. Very happy to see him and well taken care of during his trip. I would recommend them wholeheartedly
Best place for your dog to be when they can't be with you. Hands down best care you can get for your furry family member.
We needed to board our dog for a week whilst we were on the Cape, and were so happy with Howladay Inn. Our dog loved it, got taken well care of and overall, had a super time.
best dog sitter ever. i really appreciate that i chose her. my dog Nacho was obsessed with her and every time was happy to see her. definitely trust her with my dog, and will, and recommend you all call her if you going on vacation and don’t have someone to sit with dogs , she is great for it . Appreciate you Hanna, you are the best
I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful care Hanna provided while looking after my dog. She was attentive, responsible, and clearly has a natural affinity for animals. My dog Kenny instantly felt comfortable and happy, and I received regular updates, which gave me great peace of mind. I would highly recommend Hanna to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!
Hanna is reliable, flexible, and responsive. She takes great care of our dog Enzo. We are lucky to have found her and so work with her regularly. Enzo loves his time with Hanna!
We’re so happy with the care our dog receives from Barnstable Dog Care. Our pup always comes home happy and well-exercised. The updates and photos they send give us peace of mind, knowing our dog is in great hands. We highly recommend Barnstable Dog Care for anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter!
Hana is nothing short of a miracle. We are so thankful to have found her for extended days away. The dogs did great.
