Our dog was very happy here. She can be a bit skittish around new places, so when she pulled on her leash to head back to the kennel, we knew all was going to well. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Thank you for making our trip a special one!

Dropped our pup off for daycare while we visited the caverns! All of the staff was friendly and helpful. They were even able to squeeze our boy in for pawdicure during his stay. Will definitely use again next time we’re in town.

We boarded our German Shepherd while we were visiting Luray. She loved her stay and we were able to get her a bath before we loaded up to go home. Awesome owners. Your dog is gonna love it.

We were visiting Shenandoah National park this weekend and looking for somewhere to leave our dogs. I always nervous to leave them new places but mystic had great reviews. They definitely lived up to their reviews! They even groomed one of my pups while she was there and she looks amazing. They were well taken care of, happy when we picked them up. They were easy to communicate with, gave me updates when I called to check on them, played with them, etc.. would highly recommend to anyone considering. They definitely care about dogs and want to make them feel comfortable during their stay.

Love this place! We’ve been taking our dogs here to get groomed for a few months now and have nothing but great things to say. They always get us in the schedule quickly, we don’t have to book a month or more in advance like our previous groomer. The staff is very friendly too, I feel comfortable leaving my dogs with them. And we love the haircuts! They always give you the exact cut you ask for, no surprises here when you pick up! 10/10

I was nervous dropping my dog off for her first time away from me but she did great. She's very anxious. I love the care they gave her and how they took the time to figure out what worked best for Fawn. I'll definitely be using them again when needed. It feels great to find a place you can trust.

A wonderful place to board my dogs. I've been using Dogwoods Pet Lodge for years. Brenda takes the best care of my fur babies. The runs are covered and the kennels are heated and cooled. My two yorkies got so sick this last trip we were on, and she went far and above taking care of them. She bought pedialyte, chicken, rice, and pumpkin to nurse them. She actually had to feed one of them with a syringe and didn't charge us. She excercises the animals and keeps a close watch on them. The kennels are next to her home which makes things so much better. It's also a wonderful place for dog grooming. They do a great job!!

Happy to have watched her business flourish over the years and becoming a full boarding kennel as well as the grooming business. Hands down THE BEST!

These ladies were awesome. We needed our dog housed for a few days and they were just so friendly and kind. I recommend them to everyone.

I spent all day last Thursday (10/10/19) attempting to get a hold of this company to no avail. Their number rang and went to voicemail and there was no ability to leave a voicemail as the mailbox was full. I went online to their website and it hasn't been updated since February of 2013 and states that they do not accept credit card payments. I am glad they did not answer because if it is this difficult to get in touch with them I do not want my dog staying there.

My girl Luna loves Happy Hounds!! She’s so excited to come and see all of her friends. Everyone who works there is so positive, welcoming, and really care for your pups! She comes home with all of her energy out. They also post pictures everyday which I love. I never have to worry about her while I’m at work!

My baby, Rickey, loves Happy Hounds! I thought he would go a couple of days a week but it has turned into 6 days a week and the occasional boarding. He is a high energy, blue heeler, and the evenings of him just sleeping are worth every single visit! Marcie is so kind as is every employee at Happy Hounds. I personally think my favorite part is how excitedly he is greeted with “Hi Rickey!” at drop off in the mornings. Doesn’t everybody want to take their fur babies somewhere where they know they’re going to be loved, cared for, and thoroughly exhausted when they’re picked up. 🤗

Such a great doggy day care. Zemo LOVES to play, so we had to try this place out because it had been recommended by a few friends. We've been taking Zemo to Happy Hounds for about a year now and it's been an awesome way for him to socialize off leash and get some energy out. The folks who work at Happy Hounds are fantastic with Zemo and we are so thankful for this place. PS - Happy Hounds often take lots of photos during the day to share on the Facebook page, which is really fun to see at the end of the day. Here are just a few I've saved. :)

My dog, Jamie, absolutely loves going to Happy Hounds! When we say 'do you want to go to daycare' she immediately runs the door and sits there wagging her tail until we are ready to take her. Jamie is a very skittish dog, and needs some patience/grace until she gets comfortable - which is exactly what the Happy Hounds staff gave her. I now see her extremely happy to interact with the staff and other dogs which tells me she is treated well and happy. The dogs get a lot of playtime and Jamie always comes home extremely tired - you know what they say: a tired dog is a HAPPY dog. We are very thankful for Happy Hounds and would highly recommend!

Happy Hounds Doggie Day Care is amazing, and Marcie has an exceptional knowledge of dogs. My dog Spencer has been going for about two years, and when I got my second dog, Murphy, a little over a year ago, he also began attending. They're both balls of energy at home without daycare, but going to daycare at least once a week, let's them release a ton of energy and makes them much calmer at home. I highly recommend Happy Hounds to anyone with a dog considering day care!

Happy hounds is quite possibly heaven on earth for dogs. I’ve been bringing my stupidly energetic dog there for roughly six months and she LOVES it! She’s excited to get there in the mornings and hates leaving in the afternoons. Marcie (the owner) is an amazing person who truly has an unparalleled love for dogs. For those worried about the 2 bad reviews, don’t. Marcie, along with all of her employees, are the truest of dog lovers. Lots of love for the happy hounds crew!

We moved to Alaska and no place compares to happy hounds. I wish we’d move back just for this place. Our dog who was super scared of most places absolutely LOVED going. He always came home so tired and content. Their daily photos and videos still make my day.

I am a very protective dog mom. I am serious when I say my dog is my everything. Paws of hope has been fantastic. This is the first place I have felt actually comfortable to leave my baby there. They send me text updates (and pictures) and answer all of my questions. They truly go above and beyond for my dog. I cannot recommend them enough. They really treat your dog like their own. My dog is so exciting to go there each time. I can go on vacation comfortably knowing that he is well taken care of.

As a first time puppy mom, I was SO anxious about leaving my little one home while my fiancé and I were at work. Thanks to Amy and John, they alleviated all my stress!!! Both Amy and John provide helpful and caring advice, along with their genuine interactions. With the home check-ins, Amy will text you great updates and AWESOME pictures of her and your fur baby. With my fiancé and I’s schedule being up in the air sometimes, Amy does a FANTASTIC job by touching base with you and confirming the upcoming days! I definitely recommend Paws of Hope!

I cannot give Paws of Hope enough praise for the work that they do. The exercise and socialization that my dog gets is incredible. Their experience and knowledge of all types of dogs makes them a perfect place for your gentle lap dog or hyper husky. My dog could not be in better hands while I travel.

Our first time boarding our sweet dog (Nyla) while taking a trip 4 hours away. It was the best experience we could have had! John & his team kept us updated how she was doing. Even posted videos & pics of her having the time of her life! They were even able to cut her nails!!! Which Nyla never lets anyone touch her nails! Highly recommend Paws of Hope!

If I could give 'Aunt' Amy and 'Uncle' John 10/5 stars I would! Amy and John are the nicest, down to earth people you will ever meet and quickly felt like a part of the family! We send our two dogs to them when we go out of town and know they are in the best of hands! Amy is wonderful with communicating and paying attention to my dogs. Sending us updates throughout the day with photos of the pups. The dogs have the best of time with them and we know they are in great care. John and Amy provide a lot of services, including pick-up and drop-off, and nail trims! We've been very grateful for these services, having to schedule a last minute drop-off and appreciated them being so accommodating, it was worth every cent! I appreciate that Amy took the time to schedule a 'meet and greet' with me and our furry family before their first stay. Amy and John were recommended to us from friends and I was very nervous having my dogs away, but Amy assured me with her experience and set-up that the dogs were safe and in a clean yard! I cannot recommend Amy and John enough, I love supporting small business owners and you can really sleep soundly at night knowing your dogs are in the great care of John and Amy!

This boarding facility is very close to home for me so I thought it was a good pick. I booked online for my pets and accidentally got the dates wrong so I called to see if they could change it to the correct dates for me. The owner answered the phone and was nice enough to do so but she did come off a little rude. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked if I could visit the facility before boarding my dogs. It was the day before Thanksgiving and she warned me they may not have time. totally understandable. I let her know I’d still check in. It comes to the day of the visit and I also brought my wife to make sure she was also comfortable with our pets staying here. The facility is clean and looks great on the outside. We walk in and it is also clean inside. I let the older lady (assuming this is the owner) at the desk know I was wondering if we could get a walk through. She and the older man sitting next to her immediately shake their head saying today was not a good day and included that they were leaving soon. Mind you: We arrive shortly after opening and there wasn’t a lot going on from what we could see. The walk through took less than 5mins…… The facility is clean. The employee that gave us the tour was nice but the spaces for the animals are advertised as luxury and being from the city they resemble closer animal shelter kennels. The owners overall attitude is the reason we would not board here ever. Please go in and tour the facility. You’ll understand my review when you do.

I reached out regarding an online reservation on a holiday weekend, wanting to confirm if they actually had availability or not. I was immediately greeting with a young lady who was extremely unpleasant and seemed to lack customer service phone skills. She picked up the call and did not provide her name or any detail other than “Hello, Creature Comfort.” I processed to introduce myself and explain why I was calling. When I asked if they actually had space for my reservation that was booked online, she gave me a stern one worded “No.” She maybe said 3 words total on that call, I was extremely taken back by the lack of professionalism during that brief interaction. Not a very great first impression from a business stand point by any means. I would not feel comfortable leaving my pets at a facility where they are not able to answer a customer call with respect.

If I could give Creature Comfort 6 stars I would! They take such good care of our two large dogs. We have been taking our dogs here for over 4 years. We pass a lot of other kennels along the way during our 60 mile drive to drop off our babies, but we know they are in the best hands while we are away.

Tammy and her team have been doing an amazing job of taking care of my 2 Rottweilers since they were puppies. One has developed epilepsy over the years. They have no problem caring for him and administering his meds. It means a lot to have a place we can trust to care for our pets when we are away. Thanks to you all.

Creature Comfort Inn is 1.5 hours away from us and WELL worth the trip to leave our dog. We have boarded our dog with them twice now. When we picked up our dog this time, the owner took the time to note minor behavior differences she saw in our pup between his first and second boarding. The Inn offers many services for the dogs each day for an additional fee (group play, snuggle time, extra walks, etc) that we plan to take advantage of next time! You can tell these folks love the pups they care for.

Large property in a country setting. great area for my dog to run! They took wonderful care of my dog during the week he was boarded there. they provide a lot of services. Kennels were clean, and a good size. Will be returning with Boo for daycare and training!

Joanna provides top-notch service. She is very professional, committed to making both your animals and you feel comfortable with their care. My animals look forward to her keeping them! She seriously goes the extra mile, when our hot water heater ruptured in our basement while we were out of town and she was keeping our pets, she helped us take care of the mess and problem without hesitation. Now that is dedication!

What a great experience with my first ever use of a pet sitter!! Joanna is very conscientious in providing her pet care services. She made sure she was well informed about my puppy's needs and routine before she ever made her first visit. I was very pleased with all of her services while I was away, and she kept me informed of what was going on with him. As an added bonus, she worked with my puppy on walking on a leash and broke him of most of his bad habits!

I can honestly say that a relationship with Woof to Hoof is making m...y life better. I left for a day trip this weekend. A neighbor noticed that one of my horses wasn't acting right and could not get a hold of me. Joanna is listed as one of my emergency contacts and the neighbor contacted her regarding my horse. She did me a huge favor and was already enroute to go check on my horse by the time I was able to call her. I was close to 2 hours away, and she stayed with my horse while the vet came out, stayed with the vet, and then proceded to stay and help me walk my horse and juggle two small children. I cannot express how much I appreciate her help and consideration in this trying time. She is priceless!

Jonah has cared for my senior dog on several occasions and has my complete confidence when we have to leave. Whether extended stay or daily walks, give her a call!

A friend referred us to WTH and it has certainly made things easier. It's nice to know that we can have peace of mind when we are out of town or just busy, and that it's with someone so knowledgeable and compassionate about the care of animals. Kenneled my dogs. Went to pick up my dogs, and they said they'd bring out the leftover food. Ended up bringing me a bag of dried food when I brought in cans. After finally bringing out the right cans, there were 3 extra cans, so they weren't feeding them every day, if at all; since they can't even get the food right. Then had to ask for my stuff I brought for them back, and they said they were washing the blanket because they had an accident. I told them I brought in multiple toys and clothes. They went to the back to check again, and said they actually did have it all. I asked them to bring out all the stuff and my dogs separate because IDK how I'm supposed to walk 2 dogs to my car, carry all the extra food, and a 13 gallon trashbag. Had to complain to the clerk a couple times before she offered to walk the dogs to my truck while I carried all the stuff. If this is just checkout, IDK how they managed the dogs. My baby girl is much more lean than when I picked her up

I come to this place and wash 4 of my dogs here. The easy in and out is what I like about this place. Safety & Cleanliness is important to me. The staff is always super nice and friendly.

We come in semi-regularly for grooming and unscheduled nail trims. They do a wonderful job with my long-haired chihuahua. He always comes home excited and and smelling amazing. We have had great grooms every time we came. They also require vaccination records, so we feel safe that our dog won't be around other dogs with kennel cough, and other harmful diseases. And the staff is friendly and efficient.

Brought my dog here for their self pet wash station. The folks here are friendly and helpful, and my typically standoffish around new people pup was social and greeted the girl there. Which to me says a lot. The place is very clean, and they sell some chew treats and toys here too. The pet wash station includes a pro blow dryer to get thick fluffy coats fully dry and looking their best. We would definitely recommend this place, and I'm sure we'll be back again.

We took our 18 year old cat to get her nails done and we have also taken our Golden retriever to be groomed and they to a great job and are very personable too!

Dogs had a great time visiting. They can't wait to get more dirt on them to come back.

This bath was the best! No cold hose water from the backyard, and I could step right into the tub! Mom scrubbed me down in toasty warm water and blew out my coat with the high powered drying snake! I’m from Annapolis Md, and they did a wonderful job with my dog during Christmas while staying at Massanutten. Probably their busiest season. I was in a last minute bind to find a facility and fortunately they accommodated us. I was running late due to traffic, and they still made an effort to accommodate my tardiness. They did a wonderful job, and knew my dog’s personality by pickup a few days later. I was worried, but he was totally fine. It’s nice to be close by while away. Support good local businesses such as Sunny Ridge Kennels. Very very reasonably priced . They spend time with them and learn their behaviors. The staff are cool, get to know them. They treat you and your dog well.

The new owners Katie and Dustin are wonderful! They are loving and caring individuals who clearly love animals, dogs in particular. I know your pets will be in great hands when you board them at Sunny Ridge Kennels!

Thanks for making my dog's first boarding experience as smooth as possible, especially considering my sweet but timid pup. Mike is a very thoughtful kennel owner, and it's clear how much attention to detail goes into running the business. From the way the dogs are let in, to separating the kennels by size, to the scheduled outdoor time, everything is well thought out. The environment is clean, the prices are great, and the setting is quiet. Highly recommend!

I have stayed a particular spring week yearly at Massanutten for many decades, and since having my own family with dogs, have tried to find the best fit for our pups during this annual week. The staff at MVOA highly recommended Sunny Ridge, and my 11 year old and I are so glad for the referral. We picked up our babies today, after a 5 night stay, and they seemed super excited from their own vacay (yet tired - a good thing for us after a long drive) and just as good spirits as when we left them. We hope to bring them back every year - Mike is attentive and clearly caring of all dogs that stay there. It was nice to feel like they were in good hands yet close if anything came up. Thank you for the peace of mind for us humans, but more importantly a fun & safe place for our 4 legged babies The 11 year old big (human) brother to our pug mixes highly recommends Sunny Ridge. We left 3 of our well loved dogs with SR. We have boarded Many places over the years, and this may be my favorite. I noticed that Mike was very attentive to the vaccinations required, which I appreciated very much. The facility was clean and basically odor free! Mike was organized with our "stuff", knew the dogs by name, and did a follow up call. I felt that they were safe, and they handled one of my guys with kindness that is a special needs dog! I highly recommend Sunny Ridge.

I have a 130 pound 4 year old super active and sometimes territorial Great Dane and she is so happy at Sunny Ridge. She clearly adores Mike and runs right to him each time we arrive (which because of travel with my job is a lot). Mike has cared for our dog over weekends and for weeks at a time and I always feel completely confident in his care for her. He is incredibly knowledgeable about a variety of breeds and their health care needs and personality tendencies. Having a caregiver live onsite is super important. She gets lots of play time and special attention. I love that she has indoor and outdoor options and nutritious food provided. And no dog sleeps on the floor! We have boarded her in all seasons and can't imagine taking her anywhere else. Sunny Ridge is by far the best in the area!

Mike took great care of our fur baby when we were away over the holidays. He was available for follow up and check in calls/emails. His facility was clean and my husband advised that he could see the animals were well cared for at drop off for our reservation. Mike bonded with our fur baby and even called to check in on him after we picked him up next day. Exceptional local business and owner. We will continue to refer this business and will only board at this facility going forayed for our pup!

The comfort I feel knowing my not so little fur ball is being cared for as if he was with us, is PRICELESS!! Thank God for such caring folks! My baby stayed for two weeks, which was difficult to do to begin with. When I picked him up, I could see how comfortable he was by his behavior! He didn't even have to tell me!! For nine years, each time we have had to travel, my hesitation has always been Enzo's proper care. We have even tried taking him with us a couple of times. He wasn't crazy about that! I have been bringing my dogs and cats to Just Like Home for 14 years now and have never been disappointed or unsatisfied with the care they receive. They go above and beyond to treat your pet as one of their own and make them feel at home. I brought my 3 cats once to stay in a bedroom and pulled in with a car full of cat beds, scratchers, 3 crates, food etc and they didn't even blink. I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else!

I have never boarded my dogs before and was a little nervous since I had a beagle, a mini-doxie, who has residual neurological weakness in his hind legs from previously being paralyzed when he was younger, and a five-month old, HUGE shepherd-mix puppy (a/k/a horse lol!). Not only were they well taken care of while I was gone, but also whenever I requested an update on how the dogs were doing I received a very timely response along with pictures to ease my mind. I also loved that the dogs were able to stay together in a doggy bedroom in the house so it really was just like home. The huge fenced-in yard was perfect for them to run in. I really appreciate Just Like Home Kennels taking such good care of my dogs and especially putting up with Sadie (the puppy/horse), who is a huge bundle of energy! - The Kremer Family

My dog Miloh has separation anxiety but absolutely loves Just like Home kennels, he never wants to leave when we pick him up. Charlie and his staff are always accommodating. We love that the dogs are able to have time to run around outside in real grass, a previous kennel we found kept the animals on a concrete run. The pandemic has stopped us from traveling but we know when we start again that Just Like Home is the only place we will leave our dogs.

Ace is happy as much as we are thank you again so much for everything

We have used "Just Like Home" twice in the past few months and we cannot express how happy we are. We used to board our dog Stella at another facility, but witnessed her lethargic and depressed after one of her stays. She was very dehydrated and I noticed they did not give her any of her toys or treats we brought for her. We decided to look for a new place and luckily stumbled upon "Just Like Home." Although hesitant to board her kennel initially (I imagine from her previous boarding experiences), she was as happy as could be when we picked her up a few days later. She was loving to the staff, excitedly running around the fenced-in yard, and was not lethargic or unhappy. We trust "Just Like Home" completely with our sweet girl and know that she is in safe hands whenever we have to leave town.

Charlie, Kim & the boys are GREAT people. They take care of your pet as it was their own. If you want a compassionate kennel, Just Like Home is the place

We were in town for a JMU football game and needed to board our 2 yorkies for the night. I called All About Paws about a week prior and found that they were able to take our dogs for the night for an extremely reasonable fee. The facility is right next to a vet clinic and offers doggie daycare, gooming, as well as boarding. I was happy to see it was clean, and the staff was very helpful. They made sure to find out our dogs' routine and feeding schedule. When we picked them up, our dogs didn't smell like a kennel, like they have from other boarding facilities. We will not hesitate to board our dogs with All About Paws next time we are in town.

Used All About Paws for their doggy day care! All the staff knew and loved on my dog. I felt like he was treated well and cared for. He came home happy and tired.

Very rude owner!! Talked down to me in front of my child and made false and inaccurate statements. Kayla is wonderful. The owner unfortunately is very unprofessional and her mannerisms are not appropriate for the position she holds dealing with customers. Due to the lack of professionalism and the interactions we have had with her alone we have decided to find a better boarding facility where the owners treat the dogs and their owners with respect. Also we do not feel comfortable with a facility that never answers their phone or returns calls and there is a 50/50 chance of response in emails with long periods of a return. Again very unprofessional.

Love this place! So glad we found it for our punky pup..she has boarded here as well as daycare..she loves it..very clean & folks are friendly & accomodating!

My dog Leo has been coming to daycare here for almost 2 years and him and I both LOVE IT! He gets so excited when I ask him if he wants to go to daycare. All the staff seem to genuinely care about him and I feel at peace everyday I work dropping him off in their care. Also, I cannot forget to add, convenience is amazing. If he needs vet treatment, ashby animal clinic is right upstairs and just slips down and grabs him. And last but certainly not least, Alia grooms him and does a PHENOMENAL JOB! She is a superwoman! Yall don't get enough thanks from people im sure, and I cannot begin to express my gratitude to you all♡

I've had a great experience with All About Paws. The scheduling process is quick and efficient and the space is clean and well organized. Staff have always been incredibly kind and helpful throughout the process and it is apparent that they interact with and keep pets engaged and safe during their stay. My 2 year old pit, Dave Grohl, absolutely loves it there and has never had any hesitation going back. I am so grateful to have All About Paws as an affordable and safe option for my pets 💗

I wish I could give the day-to-day staff a 5-star review while giving the owner 0 stars. I’ve been sending my dog there for about 8 months for day care and boarding, and she always came home happy and tired thanks to the girls who oversee daycare. However, after my most recent experience with the owner, I will not be returning and I do not recommend anyone send their dog here with this woman in charge. My dog was injured under their care, and her injury was never treated nor made aware of to me. When I discussed the issue with the facility owner, she took no responsibility and was extremely unapologetic, only offering excuses as to why the gash in my dog’s stomach was not her problem. I understand (and fully expect) dogs will rough play at daycare, but if an injury occurs I would also expect something to be done. In this case, either nobody noticed the inch-deep puncture in my dogs skin, or if they did notice they neglected to do anything. Both are major problems for any dogs health and safety. The lengths the owner went to to deflect any responsibility in this situation — so far as to call my vet to ask for my dog’s medical records before even calling me — were absolutely disgusting. She showed no remorse and made no attempt to offer any kind of solution or apology. It is clear that the owner does not have the dogs’ best interest, and I do not recommend sending your dog there because of this.

I love All About Paws, but more importantly, my dog loves it there! I have been bringing my dog here for a few years now and have had no problems. I use AAP for both doggy daycare and boarding. I feel confident that my dog is safe and well taken care of there. I have a very large breed, very stubborn dog so he is not the easiest pup to deal with, but all of the staff at AAP has been wonderful!! I don't worry about his safety while he's there, and I like the added comfort that Ashby Animal Clinic is in the same building, should my dog ever need medical attention when I'm not around. I highly recommend AAP to take care of your pet!!

First time leaving our babies behind with anyone who wasn’t family. When we dropped them off, it took awhile for someone to help us and I had to call about 3-4 times to alert the person at the desk that I was outside to drop off. Other than that little blip, I believe my babies were well taken care of and fed correctly!

Very friendly staff! Loved the fact that Max our dog could be inside or outside! Very clean facility! Will definitely visit All About Paws again! Thanks for looking after our fur-baby!🐾 Marty and Mendy Taylor
