I’m very grateful to Deb Combs and her friend Craig for housesitting for me and looking after my two dogs for 3.5 weeks in September. They were excellent house-sitters and took the dog care very seriously. One of my dogs recently had an operation on her knee and Deb was in regular contact about her convalescence and took her to the vet when there was a problem. She walked the dogs twice a day and sent me regular photos of them- looking happy! She bought and cooked up some extra food for them and wouldn’t let me refund her. Sorry you had to do that Deb! The house was super clean and tidy when I returned and even the laundry was done. Deb broke one of my glasses and replaced it with a whole new set of very classy wine glasses. Thank you! She returned my car to me cleaned and with a full petrol tank. What a treat. She also took me to the airport and fetched me when I returned, which was very helpful. My garden was alive and blossoming. Deb kept it watered while I was away and it was a joy to return to it. So thanks to Deb and Craig- I hope you enjoyed your time in Cape Town and Id love to welcome you back in the future!

Jess and Zena did a great job watching our kitties! We have 7 inside cats and one feral cat outside who needed feeding so it is a big job to pet sit for us but they did great. We would definitely be happy to have them housesit again for us in the future with no hesitation. Highly recommend! Our kitties are used to us being home most of the time since we work at home, and it was nice they had that companionship (and oversight lol) with Jess here too. Jess was very communicative and kept us in the loop on how everything was going and was also able to handle everything on her own which gave us peace of mind. Communication beforehand and during her sit was easy. She thoughtfully replaced a couple of food staples they used while here, which she didn’t need to do. The house looked great when we came home, everything tidy and clean.

Stacey was so wonderful and accommodating over and over again. First of all, she quickly and enthusiastically responded when I invited her to sit. Next, we ended up having to leave sooner than expected, due to a family emergency, and she just rolled with receiving the handoff from someone else. She worked with us coordinating her departure with our return home to ensure adequate coverage, and she even mentioned possibly coming to sit for us when we do get to go on the vacation we had originally planned. She helped us to not worry about what was going on at home while we were away, which was much needed.

Chrysinda and Scott were fabulous in every way. Chrysinda spent quality and loving time with my dog, Sam. Scott also made Sam feel comfortable and loved (but he worked full time so Chrysinda took the lead). Without being requested they sent updates and photos to stay in touch. They both spent much of their last day working to assuring my home was clean and tidy. I could not have asked for a better experience.

This was our first time using a pet or house sitter and the bar set by Leslie is very high! She is warm, friendly, communicative, responsible and very clean. Upon arriving, she immediately bonded with our rat terrier, Oreo, by bringing him a new frisbee (his favorite toy/activity) and throwing it for him in our backyard. Leslie has a sweet and mellow dog, Benny, who is now Oreo's new buddy! She kept my husband and I updated via texts/pictures of their daily activities, our house, and was proactive in asking questions before she left. She even dropped our dog off at the kennel for one night at the end of our trip since our flight was too late for us to get home for him! Our home was clean and had fresh flowers from our garden that she put in vases for us! Such a simple and nice touch! We have asked Leslie to come back to sit for us again for 2 weeks in August. I'd highly recommend her to take care of your pet(s) and home too!

Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! Hanna did an excellent job sitting Molly, Eddie, Jasper, and Miley. She communicated well, took notes on our initial meet and greet. She went out of her way to help us get the dogs to a kennel when we experienced a family emergency and could not extend her sit due to work commitments. Linda was an awesome pet sitter for my doggie Brodie! She gave him so much loving attention… he has some separation anxiety at 9 years old & she never left his side! She was so attentive to him & I am very grateful for that! Laura was an exceptional, reliable, and loving sitter for our goldendoodle Scout, and took such good care of our home! Scout was excited to meet Laura immediately when she arrived at our home for this sit, and showered Laura with all the hugs and kisses. Scout has recently been having issues with seizures, so for this sit I was specifically looking for a sitter who had a depth of experience with giving medication and responding calmly in the event of an emergency. It was a big relief to be able to entrust Scout to Laura's capable and kind hands, and it was extra special that Laura's beloved vizsla had shared the same name. Laura is wonderfully easy to communicate and coordinate with, and was thorough in her care of our home. We came back to our garden looking great, house left in even better shape than I left it to Laura, and a very happy Scout! I cannot overstate how much we appreciated Laura's care for Scout and our home, and heartily recommend her as a pet and house sitter. If you're lucky enough to get on Laura's schedule, your pups will be with the most wonderful stand-in dog mom you could have hoped for!

Kuldip exceeded all the expectations we had from a Zeewoi. She took over from another sitter when we got stuck out of country due to a family emergency. A highly energetic person yet extremely organized, she easily matched the energy level of my 2-year-old Border Collie Pavo. She not only exercised him multiple times every day, but even him bought him new doggy toys and treats (much appreciated!). She got along very well with our neighbor and with their combined help Pavo got a much needed doggy bath! With her by my dogs side we were worry-free and able to focus on our family needs. Lastly, she left a pleasant surprise when we came back home. Our home looked squeaky clean and beautifully organized. Kuldip is a gem of a pet sitter and we would love to have her back for our fur baby without any hesitation. I highly recommend her!

Milly was a lovely house sitter and I’d highly recommend her. She submitted a really great application and after a FaceTime chat it was an easy decision to choose her for our sit. She is the youngest sitter we’ve chosen but she has a maturity beyond her years and it was clear she had so much experience with animals that we felt confident leaving her in charge of our menagerie. Olive our young Pom has never been left with a sitter before so we were a little worried about how she would be but Milly was so patient, gentle and kind that she quickly won Olive over. So much so, on the morning Milly was leaving ,Olive would only let Milly put her harness on her before going for a walk. All the animals were perfectly cared for while we were away and we returned home to happy pets and a tidy house. Milly’s communication from our first contact and right through the sit was great and she even sent a lovely video of the dogs having fun on their walk. I’d have Milly back to housesit for us again anytime.
