Her breath of knowledge and experience makes us very comfortable boarding Cash there during our trips out of town. She always takes time to chat with us about his stay before and after and has been helpful in making us better Aussie owners.

I'm pretty sure my dog enjoys being at camp with Allison more than she enjoys being home. Leaving my dog for 2 weeks was easy, since I knew she'd be so well cared for, and that she'd have a blast playing with her friends at camp.

Sundog is the best home away from home for our dogs. All of the dogs love Allison, and so do we.

I can't imagine anyone else caring for my fur babies. I like to tell friends that Allison takes better care of them than I do. :) She is so accommodating and thoughtful and always has the dogs' best interest in mind. She is also super giving to the canine community and just a great person! I appreciate her so much!

Ellie is the 2nd generation of my family to enjoy her time at SunDog, as my Yogi did years ago! She loves to run and play in the big yards with old and new friends, and the fact she isn’t in a kennel run for 23 hours a day. As a retired owner/operator of a pet sitting business, I appreciate Allison’s attention to detail on my picky feeding prep😉. And she goes above and beyond on numerous occasions. Will never forget her bringing Ellie to visit me at the rehab facility, on Mother’s Day, as I recovered from spinal surgery❤️ Dogs that go to SunDog camp are happy, luck dogs!!

I have always had great experience with SunDog Kennel! My Charlie is a super shy boy and would really just prefer to cuddle at your feet instead of wrestling around with other doggos. Allison has always been extremely understanding and accommodating. She allows Charlie to sort of hang by himself and do his own thing when its play time outside, and even lets him hang out with her in the office so he can get some of the human interaction that he craves. Thank you as always for being amazing and for taking the extra time to make not only Charlie, but myself feel comfortable when I drop off my best friend.

Sundog boarding kennel is like no other. It is like sending your dog over to your best friends house for a week of sleep overs. Allison has a personal connection with every client. That said- I mean the canine clients! The dogs are not crated. Though she does have several crates near the front door in the office. These are for current pick ups or drop offs. Making sure Nobody gets out due to an open door. She has 2 large fenced in areas. One for the big Dogs and for for the Little’s. I happen to have a little dog who thinks he’s a big do so he plays over there. She has couches ...just for Dogs. Allisons attention to detail with all the dogs in her care is amazing. She truly is a dog person. She spends her time exercising and socializing the dogs with each other. Now because of how she spends her time during the day... with the Dogs. She is not sitting by the phone or the computer. Most likely she is outside throwing a ball, She is a one woman show with a life outside of her business. She communicates via text or email. You must bring your dog over for a pre visit. She is pretty thorough about what she expects in dog behavior. I believe that once you are a client you are well taken care of. The problem is getting her away from her passion ... the Dogs. But once you have ....you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a commercial kennel with an office staff and dog walkers this probably is not the place for you. This is DOGTOWN!

Emailed, texted and called. Received a complimentary email telling me that I would hear from them soon... a day and a half later I get a text explaining that they were out of town and asking me for my dog’s information and experience with boarding. I write back with the information and a couple of pictures, a day and a half later, still no response. Good thing I took the precaution of making arrangements somewhere else after the first 24 hours!!! The terse message at Sun Dog says that dogs are her first priority, but I am the one writing the check and how I’m treated tells me how my dog will be treated. Clearly other people have had great success there, but I think she also has a reputation for not responding well, as quite by chance I talked with someone else who had the same problem. Maybe you’ll have better luck if you have the time to wait a week to make an appointment.

I bet they are great with dogs but good luck with getting a hold of them. I had our dog care back out last minute and I called and texted to no avail. They texted to let me know they were busy watching the dogs and that was it for 2 days. A simple "we're full" would have been acceptable. But instead I was ghosted.

Hands down the best pet sitter I have ever known. Ellen takes great care with my dog and I have complete confidence leaving her with Ellen for a day, overnight, and beyond. This is saying a lot, because I am super picky about entrusting my "baby" to anyone. As another reviewer wrote, Ellen sends me pictures, which are so much appreciated. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Ellen is the best. Taking your dog to Ellen is like going to the ANTI-KENNEL. Instead of cold, concrete floors and cages, she keeps the dogs with her in her beautiful and very clean home. It's the best possible experience for your pet. We wouldn't take our dog to anyone else.

Reliable dependable dogs kept inside in a loving environment. I never have to worry. Ellen will even send you pictures while you're away on vacation so you can rest at ease.

Tara is truly amazing with our two boys. They love their play time where they get to run around together and play catch with Tara. We also like that she takes and shares pictures of them playing. I highly recommend Aunt Tara's Creative Canine Solutions!

I cannot share enough about how amazing Tara and her staff are. We have a special needs pug with limited mobility. Tara and her staff welcomed our dog with so much love and care. He was well taken care of during his week long stay and it gave us great peace of mind. The facility is spotless and well kept. We can’t wait to use Aunt Tara’s again!

Tara was absolutely wonderful! We had traveled to the area with our 3 year old chocolate lab. Our pup wae not getting along with her pup cousins and we needed a place last minute for boarding. Tara worked our dog in. Upon check in we were immediately put at ease. She assured us our dog would be well cared for. Our dog takes daily pills and she was able to administer them. When we picked up our dog she was happy and healthy. Overall, it was an amazing experience. I highly recommend Tara and her staff.

Aunt Taras' is fantastic ❤️, our dogs were well taken care of, they did good, especially since it was the 1st time we left them anywhere. I'd definitely let them stay there again.

I highly recommend Aunt Tara's for boarding your dog. Whenever I leave my dog there, I can rest assured that Rocky is well taken care of. Tara is not just the owner, she is also the caregiver for the dogs. She treats them as she treats her own dog. Aunt Tara goes above and beyond! My dog gets a vacation at the same time as my family. Additionally, the facility is clean and well maintained.

My dogs have always loved Aunt Tara's for their away from home needs. Everyone is so VERY kind and thoughtful. My dog returns home happy and healthy.

Wiggle Butts and Waggin Tails gave our 7 month old Cavapoo the best place to stay this past weekend. We highly recommend their place. It was our puppy's first time boarding and they prepared us and our puppy on all the things to expect. Very clean and organized facility. You will not be disappointed by their hospitality for you pet. We will definitely be back.

Brought my little Frenchie here. Discussed with owners on the phone the dogs age and sent them all the paper work from our vet which listed each and every vaccine he had. Was told there was no issue with bringing him in for 4 days. Went on vacation and got a text the next morning, after having driven 6 hrs away, that they weren't equipped to handle our dog because he wasn't old enough to board there. I had to pack my family up and head home to pick him up. Wasted $2500 in lodging for our vacation. WARNING.... NOT RECOMMENDED.

This was our first time boarding dogs ever. We have two cattle dogs, both young & FULL of energy. The staff at Wiggle Butts was so beyond fantastic with them. They sent us photos and kept us updated. They gave them their medications as directed. They also followed directions to keep our dogs together at all times because they are highly anxious otherwise. This is an affordable, clean, and trustworthy boarding facility. 10/10 will use again. Thank you guys!!

Kathy and Dave were amazing! We went on vacation up North and found Wiggle Butts and Wagging tails online as we wanted to have our 2 year old dog close to us. Chloe was well taken care of and happy when we picked her up. Kathy was quick at responding emails before and during her stay. Love that they have a large outdoor area that dogs can play and enjoy the outdoors. We will be retuning here next time we have a vacation up North!

Kathy and Dave are very personable! I trust them with my 1 year old Golden doodle. He loves going to doggy daycare at their facility! I would recommend them to anyone.

Dave and Kathy are SO kind and they’re great with animals. My little dog loves coming here to spend time with them and the other dogs. They’ve really made a special connection with her and with my family. This is the only place we board her because I know she’ll be well taken care of. They have great rates as well and are very flexible.

Kathy and Dave did a GREAT job helping my kennel-averse rescue acclimate to their place by having her do several short day care stints before she boarded there for several nights. They even texted an update while we were gone. My pup was happy, well cared for, and is still excited when we drive up. What's more, their location is convenient, clean, well organized and a great value. HIGHLY recommend!

Dave and Kathy greeted us and our dogs with open arms as soon as we arrived. Very clean, neat, and organized dog boarding! I could tell they were animal lovers as soon they walked us back. Dave set out some blankets for our pups to borrow while they stayed. We will DEF be using Wiggle Butts and Wagin Tails again next year. Very happy.

My dog, Bruce, loves coming here; and I love it because when I pick him up at the end of the day, he is TIRED. Dave and Kathy are the sweetest people. There is always the perfect amount of pups for him to play with. Great for socialization as well as exercise! Pick-ups and drop offs are easy and fast. They are by far the most flexible with pick up/drop off times for any place in the area, which makes it great for working dog owners who may need to work earlier/later than typical 9-5 work hours. I can't recommend Wiggle Butts and Waggin Tails enough! If you're looking for doggy day care or a place to board your dog, look no further.

I boarded my two mini Dachshunds over Thanksgiving. We all had a great experience! The kennel is new and well designed and the owner (who live on the property) are very patient and loving to their guests. I called several times and they texted me pictures, they reassured me many times my furbabies were fine. I will definitely use their services again. I highly recommend this lovely facility .

Diane is a next level cat care person. She LOVES cats. We took our daughter’s cat to stay in Diane’s cat dream house while we had (allergic) guests. The cat clearly didn’t want to get off his perch when it was time to come back home. And he’s currently sitting in our much bigger house meowing at the windows. I’m truly convinced he wants to go back for more Diane attention. Your cat will love this place or Diane’s care at your home. Diane is a speaks to animals kind of human. Excellent!

I have known Diane more than 20 years & have observed how well she takes care of cats. She gives them much personal attention - talking to them, hugging, brushing, playing, medicating if needed. She is conscientious about providing proper food, fresh water & clean litter. Diane's "cat cottage" is the "cat's meow"! Her safe cottage is kept at a comfortable temperature. She spends much quality time with the cats in the cottage. The cats have hiding places as well as fun toys & windows to look out. I have observed her cat boarders become more lively, playing & purring during their visit. I would highly recommend Diane as a cat sitter in your home or her cat cottage. I left my very shy eleven year old cat, who is a very finicky eater with Diane in her cat cottage . The cottage is meticulously kept , and set up perfectly for a cat to enjoy, with windows to watch birds, cubbies to hide in, climbing shelves , as well as a loft. We were gone about five weeks, so I definitely did not want to use a kennel, that would have been extremely hard on our kitty. We returned to find our cat happy, relaxed, and healthy. Diane has a real rapport with felines, is very knowledgeable as far as health and diet needs. I would not hesitate to use her to care for my cat again, and feel fortunate that her services are available for my cat in the future .

Diane took excellent care of my cat. She is extremely caring and attentive to her feline visitors. She wrote me a lengthy note about how my cat did during her time there along with some suggestions for better health of my very old cat. I would highly recommend Diane's care for cats!

Finally... quality boarding for CATS!!! Diane has taken a concept, ( previously available only to dogs) and built an incredibly cat-friendly place where any cat will be comfortable. This “ Cattage” is safe, well appointed, and just plain awesome! A must see for sny cat owner troubled by ‘ what to do’ with their purrballs when traveling. Thankfully, a cage in a vet’s office is no longer our only option. Dogs owners have had ‘ kennel ‘ options for years. Now cats have a place to stay designed solely for their needs. Exceptional Cat House, safe, secure, designed for all cats, cats who are shy, there are spaces for them to shelter in and feel safe; cats who are gregarious, there are lookouts, numerous toys and stimulation to keep them happy throughout the day and night. I've known this cat addict for 32 years and we have gone through many life experiences together. Cats are her world and she is a meticulous caregiver. I give her my unequivocal recommendation.

Diane is the most caring, responsible and reliable cat sitter I have ever known. She has had cats all of her life and treats them with the utmost respect and concern, as if they were her children. Her "cattage" is a great addition and a wonderful idea for anyone who needs to board their cat while they are away. she also offers exemplary and thorough home visits. I would not leave my cats in any else's care, except for hers. You will NOT be disappointed! She is the best!

Beau has stayed at Bokhara many times and they are wonderful with him. He’s always well cared for and happy. He started going at 7 months and they were so sweet and good with him. I highly recommend and I won’t use anywhere else!

We had our dog recently banned from Bokhara for, what I feel, is the fault of their new groomer. We’ve had our dog groomed there by Ellen for six years and never had an issue. Ellen retired and the groomer they have now has been out of the business for a while or something, but whatever she did made my dog anxious and he attacked. NEVER had that issue with Ellen. So, they said he’s welcome to board there? Sorry, too many finer establishments in the area. Stay away. (I can’t post without a 1-star rating, but I wouldn’t even give them that.)

Our pup had an amazing stay at Bokhara! We loved that she was greeted the moment we walked in, they were waiting for her! Erika made us feel so warm and welcome. After checking Ellie for temperament, we were shown Ellie's "room" and were able to set her up and get her comfortable. We were able to see much of the facility, and all our questions were answered. Ellie got walks every day and we were even invited to take her to the lake when we picked her up. Ellie showed us right where to go. She was so comfortable there and looked really happy and content when we picked her up. I called once to check on her and all my questions were answered and I was told Ellie was eating well and visiting. I'm so pleased with Bokhara and look forward when we can visit again!

Excellent kennel. Just pulling in the driveway you will realize that your dog will have their own resort while up north. The pine trees along the drive way will have dog name crossings, and once you pull up you will find a friendly staff ready to give your dog attention that you will feel comfortable with. There are a list of options to pamper your dog including access to Elk Lake for a swim, or even check out your pet by boat while on Elk, or the other Chain of Lakes. Our dog is a medium to small dog and had made friends with the other dogs while there. Be sure to have your pets vet records ready. Will have our dog stay there again the next time we are in the area! Rates cheaper than hotel dog rates.

We've been boarding our Rhodesian Ridgeback here for about 4 years and have had nothing but good experiences. Staff are really friendly and I like the grooming options as well as the additional play time/walk options.

Fantastic cat boarding service. Boarded my kitty here for several weeks and it was a great experience. All staff including the owner are extremely kind people.

Our gsd puppy went for her first grooming with her sister. The staff was super accommodating in letting them stay togather. They came back looking and smelling great.

Took my cats there for a week got them back covered in feces, and we're obviously traumatized, I would never take my pet to this place again

Megan is wonderful with my fur children and is incredible. She helped me out so much when I rescued Molly, who suffers with separation anxiety. My fur children love seeing her and it is such a good feeling knowing that they are being cared for and loved. I highly recommend her for any pet sitting needs!!

Megan does a fantastic job with our pets. I completely trust her, she always communicates clearly, and she is very flexible when our dates sometimes change. I have no question that when we are gone, our pets will have the care they need.

My husband, son, and I vacationed in Traverse City recently for a wedding and had to bring our energetic boxer who obveously couldn't attend and we didn't feel comfortable leaving him at the hotel alone for hours. I found Pooch and Purrs website and decided to contact Megan in regards to having her watch Mac. Upon meeting Megan and her family, I knew that our dog would be in great hands and we could enjoy our family wedding! Megan sent me pictures throughout the evening, and my family and I could tell that Mac was relaxed, loved, and having a good time with their beautiful golden retriever . I would definately ask Megan again to watch Mac as well as recommend her to anyone! Thanks Megan for taking such good care of our fur baby!

Megan takes care of my cats when I am on vacation. She is very organized and reliable. She comes every day, does the food and litter, and cuddles with my kitties for awhile. She also brings in the mail and walks through the house to make sure nothing is wrong. I don't know what I would do without Megan. I hate leaving my babies, but I know they are safe with her.

Pooch and Purr is the best! Megan has been our go-to pet sitter for the past several years. The cats look forward to her visits! She spends quality time with them at each visit and does an amazing job of reporting to us through email or texts about how they are getting along during our absence. I highly recommend Tulamar Kennels. Tulamar has an extra large kennel for very large dogs. My dog is 155 pounds and the kennel is perfect her. She's been to other places with barely any room for her to even turn around. Heather is accustom to handling large dogs and does very well with Belle. The kennels are clean and dogs have an opportunity to go outside into a fenced area directly from their kennel. Heather and Kayla are both very accommodating and friendly.

Don’t bring your doodles for grooming!!! I brought my Sophie for her first haircut and they just did a horrible job :( It doesn’t look like a goldendoodle’s haircut. They said she was amazing during her haircut so it wasn’t her fault.

Tulamar Kennel has been an incredible find for us! Our dog Clark can be a bit challenging with strangers / new people, so we’re rarely able to board him or send him to day care as many kennels don’t understand how to interact with challenging dogs. But the staff at Tulamar understand exactly what he needs and how to care for him. We are so grateful to them and will absolutely use them again!

My pups are not great with other dogs, and in their 5 1/2 years have never had to be kenneled before this past week. To say I was nervous to leave them is an understatement. But, I could not have been more pleased!! When I picked them up, I could tell they had fallen in love with Heather and her staff. And most importantly they were so obviously well cared for. I will be using them again and I would recommend to anyone!!

Heather and staff are very friendly, efficient and caring. The grounds are beautiful, quiet and safe. I feel good about leaving our four legged family members there when we can’t take them with us. The grooming is good too. They do just what you ask for. Highly recommend this kennel & grooming.

We own a min pin of a certain age who requires only the best care. We won’t board him anywhere else.

Heather and Kayla are fantastic. We never take our dog, a rescued schnauzer mix, anywhere else for boarding or grooming. He gets so excited when we get nearby that he whines and jumps around until we pull up!! They take the absolute best care and always do an incredible job with hair cuts, baths, nail trims, you name it. Our dog can be skittish with new people but he adores the team at Tulamar. We feel so lucky to have discovered this hidden gem years ago and so appreciate this special place!!!

Just got home from picking up my dogs for their first appointments at Tulamar. The dogs look wonderful and their trim styles are exactly what I wanted. Staff was warm and friendly and the price reasonable. Gorgeous location, too, and easy to get to. I will definitely use them again for grooming and will add boarding. Thanks, Tulamar staff!

Love,Love,Love this kennel! I am so glad we found this place. I don’t have to worry about my fur baby at all. They send you updates and pictures everyday your away. He got to keep his toys and blanket that smells like home with him so he would feel comfortable. They give your pups food and make it even more special by putting toppings on it. Been taking my pup to Dianas personal touch since 2019. When I heard that in Sept of 2023 there were new owners taking over I'll admit I was a bit nervous. But after talking with the new owners and staff I felt completely at ease leaving my best friend there for an extended stay. It was apparent the knowledge, expertise and love they had for each animal under their care. Recently I had to go out of town, unexpectedly. They made it so easy to get my boy in there. I'm not away from him often so I had my own anxiety about how he was doing. I was pleasantly surprised to have gotten a text update on how he was doing and pictures of him playing with other dogs! I am so happy with all the services they provide. I wouldn't recommend anything that I didn't belive in, but Beau's offers great services to people and their pets. You won't be disappointed!

I love this place. I have older rescue dogs and worry about their anxiety and being left and I’ve had nothing but phenomenal experience and Katie. The new owner is fantastic. My dogs actually look forward to coming. I had three at one time and now I have two they’re always Great and are happier than when I drop them off so thank you so much

Incredibly thankful for the last minute booking g they accepted by us on vacation so we could enjoy a full day on the boat. Our dog had the best time and we received the most reassuring updates with pictures. Highly recommend. We will be back next vacation.

I bring my girl here very often (4-5 days a week) for the daycare, the staff at Beaus are incredible! They take their time to get to know your dog, spend lots of 1 on 1 time and have always been available whenever I needed services. I would recommend anyone who would has a pet and they just need some day play or boarding for a vacation! They will send you photos throughout the day and even a daily report. I cannot speak more highly for this business, bring your pets here where it can feel like a second home!

Very glad I tried this place. I don’t board my dogs often, but feel totally comfortable leaving them at Beaus. My dogs actually get excited to go there which puts me at ease. My dogs are a handful and I can tell that the staff really enjoys having them there. My senior husky was groomed there today and she looks absolutely amazing. I couldn’t be happier with the staff and their services.

Max & Harper continue to attend doggie daycare at Beaus. They absolutely love to go here to play A LOT with their friends. (The vet praised Harper for losing 10 more pounds from playing at daycare!) They walk in like they own the place! The staff greets & spoils them every time they arrive. They come home very tired! A tired dog is a good dog! 💖. You cannot ask for a better facility & staff in Traverse City! You can see their pics after being groomed by Krysten, Harper saying hi to staff, & my dogs sound asleep after playing at daycare! We were there in September of 23 with our dog Casper. We are so excited to be coming back in July and look forward to him staying there for daycare. They did such excellent service and he loved his experience there. Thank you and we will see you soon.

The staff has been amazing! Our dog is a pretty reactive/protective dog. She was a pound puppy with a pretty bad history. The staff has gotten her to safely socialize. They know her by name on sight. They give us a report card about her stays, which is a highlight of picking her up. They are fantastic! Can’t recommend them enough.

Beaus Chateau is the BEST! They love on our two Golden's as if they were their own. They know how to treat each of them (differently) and both our Fur Babies LOVE going there every time. We can photo updates throughout their stay, a report card of how they did afterwards and the entire staff is very engaging with both us and our dogs. I couldn't love this place more!

I have had Carol do my weekend pet sitting for 2 dogs for the last 13 years, and I can ALWAYS count on her to take exceptional care of my dogs and my home. We have been using Carol for about 2 years and she is amazing! Cares for our pets as though they are her own! Our younger pup is VERY anxious around new people but Carol is so patient and works with him so well that he is totally cool with her when we are away. She has even given meds and fed our fish for us in the past. Never have any doubts letting her into our home, we always receive prompt communication and picture/video updates every visit. 1st class service and she will love your pets like they are her own!

Super awesome pet sitting service. Carol took care of my cat Millie while I was on vacation for a week in Florida. She sent me daily text and video updates which my whole family loved. She kept Millie's litterbox and food areas perfectly clean and refreshed her water everyday. She even made an extra key so she didn't carry around my emergency key (as there were issues with the key I gave her, and she was very patient about that). Great service all around.
