Mary Ellen takes the best care of my dogs, so much that the youngest would happily stay there forever. Great pick up/drop off process. Excellent communication and scheduling is easy, daycare or boarding. So glad to have stumbled across her place years ago!

My husband, myself and our pup just moved to the SE area and we were stressing on finding a doggy daycare. We both work all day and didn’t want our pup to be home alone; he has a lot of anxiety & especially separation anxiety. We found Mary Ellen’s daycare and immediately she sounded like a good fit. We’ve been taking our pup to her for about a month now and it’s been going great! We were really concerned that his anxiety would be an issue and that maybe it’d be a bit much for Mary Ellen, but she quickly dispelled those fears. She’s been working with our pup and helping him adjust to the new routine and has been incredibly kind and patient. We’re so grateful to have found Mary Ellen ☺️☺️☺️

We LOVE Wag Along! Our pup has been going there for a while for daycare and comes home happy and exhausted. We've also boarded her there and had a great experience. Mary Ellen is knowledgeable, flexible and reliable, and it is such a great spot for our pup to spend some time each week! Our girl can be a little nervous to leave us (she grew up during pandemic stay-home orders), but warmed right up to going! I know how much she loves it by her excitement when we pull in for drop off & at the end of the day, she usually doesn't want to leave! We consider Wag Along her second family and highly recommend them for boarding or daycare :)

I feel grateful to have found this day care/boarding location for my pup! I’ve brought my pup there for day care and I’ve boarded her for as long as 5 days. My dog always leaves happy and tired from playing with all the other wonderful dogs. I trust that Mary Ellen keeps a watchful eye over all of the dogs while they are under her care. Mary Ellen is excellent at communicating with me and I feel 100% comfortable leaving my puppy there. I would highly recommend!

Mary Ellen is the best. We always leave our dog with her when we're away and have been doing so since 2016. As soon as we pull up outside her house, she starts whimpering to get out and join her friends. Mary Ellen has two dogs of her own, Margaux and Rou, both wonderful golden retrievers who our dog adores. They're kind of like benevolent older siblings to her. I often think our dog has a better time than we do — home away from home!

I took my anxious 1 year old puppy to Wag Along to try to help with her separation anxiety and socialization. Mary Ellen took extra good care of her and within a few weeks Bootsy was more confident and well behaved and she loves going to see Mary Ellen and to play with the other dogs. I appreciate how very easy drop off and pick up is, and that my pup is still clean at the end of the day. Mary Ellen is kind, responsible and the price is right.

We’ve taken our energetic 1.5 year old heeler Sylvie here since the beginning of the year, been a very positive experience. Space-wise it’s essentially a house & yard, rather than the typical warehouse type areas of other doggy daycares. We appreciate the fact that the owner, Mary Ellen, has been doing this a long time and is very hands-on – it’s good to know our pup’s with someone experienced & who really cares about both the animals & how things are run. She’s flexible and the whole process has been super easy. Price is pretty standard. Our dog is fairly high strung and at first she had a lot of anxiety about being left there. But after a little while she got over it, now it’s fun to watch her excitedly run to Mary Ellen & all her doggy friends in the morning. I think the daycare has actually helped out her maturation process. Mary Ellen sends video clips and/or photos during the day showing them playing & lounging around, which is fun for a doting dog parent like me. The pup comes home happy & tired. We just do part-time right now - to socialize Sylvie & keep her company while the humans work, also to create a familiarity in case we ever have to board her there sometime for travel. Highly recommended.

We love having our Sully with Mary Ellen. We never worry about him when he’s there. We use daycare and board with her when we are out of town. He is always excited to see her and she takes such good care of the pups in her care. Recommend her 110%.

Mary Ellen takes such good care of my baby, I never worry at all when she’s there. My dog was super timid before she started going about a year ago and now she’s so happy to go see her friends each time. Mary Ellen watches a nice variety of sizes and breeds, so she’s exposed to all kinds of dogs, which is helpful for the real world. I literally don’t know what I would do without her. We love Wag Along!

Mary Ellen is amazing, I’ve been trusting her with my dog for a while now. I recently used her for boarding, and she went above and beyond when taking care of my dog. I had to drop off my dog right after being injured and Marry Ellen took her with out hesitating. She gave her her meds and cared for her like I would have. She even sent me frequent updates and pictures to help ease my anxiety. I truly don’t think you will find a more caring pet sitter in the Portland area!

I love the free day opportunity. It is understandable sense my dog has been training through severe separation anxiety for a couple months after his previous owners kenneled him until he was 5 months. He's a quick study and the man that lead him into his dog daycare was the 1st my dog has ever gone with without pulling and the man saw that he was better the next day. Phew! I recommend this place. Check out the savings on the buying options. The price is right. Also feels like a good and happy neighborhood dog daycare. My dog came back tired and ready to eat. They have great prices on meals but I just feed him so he has a routine.

My beloved, healthy mini schnauzer DIED in their care from horrific injuries. Your dog is not safe with them. I trusted them with my sweet little pup and he never came back home.

I called to speak with someone about boarding my dog and they were so rude! I said, "Happy Friday! How are you?" To which they scoffed and replied, "What do you need?" I said I was thinking of boarding my dog, but not when they spoke to me like that. The person laughed and said, "That's fine." And hung up. if this is how they treat the humans, I worry how they treat the animals. No thanks.

This place is awesome!!! My dogs love coming here, and they are always so tired when I pick them up, which is great because a lot of the time during the work week, I do not have time to play with them. Cheaper than any other place in the PDX area as they have package deals for weeks/months. More days you buy, cheaper it is overall. Pickup/drop off process is quick and efficient. The sweet lady that works here is a hoot and always making me laugh. Thank you, Safe Journey!

I just gotta say, I absolutely love this place! The staff and environment are incredibly friendly and welcoming. my two rotties always have such a good time there. I know my boys can be difficult at times, but they are very patient with them and they always come home happy and healthy wiggle butts! <3

Been coming here for since my dog was a puppy and she loves it! When I drop her off she gets so excited and runs straight to the door to wait for Julia or Craig to come get her! We love Safe Journey and are so grateful for your services!

I have nothing negative to say about them. Only thing is that i wish they were closer to Troutdale. I absolutely love bringing my dog here. He always comes home very very tired. You can tell that the staff here is very knowledgeable about what they're doing as well. I drop him off before work or a trip and i leave with a peace of mind. i appreciate how they try to accommodate my schedule as well. I also love how they don't kennel their dogs. My dog has terrible separation anxiety and a kennel would not be a good time for him. I really appreciate this business, and the staff that can make it all happen. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs a great doggy day care.

This place holds one of the worst experiences I have ever had. This happened 1 year ago. I took my sweet old pup there for a few day care trials in anticipation of a potential 10 day stay. He seemed to liked it so I went ahead and book his long stay. Conin was at Safe Journey a total of 5 days and he died. They emailed me while I was abroad to tell me my dog had not eaten in 3 days and that he was in poor health. 3 days! I immediately had a family friend go pick him up and 24 hours later he was dead. Not only this has been dramatic and absolutely devastating, but I also had to deal with the complete and utter lack of responsibility Safe Journey decided to take regarding this after I arrived back in the US. I received long emails from them with just excuses. I strongly believed that my dog was left in isolation, not fed and not cared for at all. He was so dehydrated when my friend picked him up, that even after 24 in intensive care they could not revive him. This place is extremely dodgy, they thrive themself as specialized in "difficult dogs", and so i trusted these people with my 15 year old mutt. He was a healthy old pup, and within 5 days he became ill and died. They took no responsibility, they did not offer to reimburse me for the days he did not spend in there, there was zero care, only a bunch of excuses. The recent number of horrible review have encouraged me to speak up. At the time, I reported them to the better business bureau. We love Safe Journey so much! Craig and the team care so much about our pup and make sure he’s having a good time- whether he feels like relaxing alone or playing with others. It’s such a life saver to have a neighborhood hang out spot we can drop in any day or time. The rates are fantastic as well. Thanks Safe Journey team!

My dogs love this place! Kennels can be anxiety inducing, especially for resuce dogs. At Safe Journey, they get to socialize freely, making it more natural for all the dogs. In addition to our dogs being happy, they have very flexible availability and fair pricing, a must for last-minute travelers like myself.

We have been using Mindy every Tuesday for about a year. I can hardly tell you how excited Cooper is every Tuesday morning. We actually think he knows when it’s Tuesday. She’s always on time, always concerned about safety and health of our dog, and is always fun to talk with. If we have concerns about Cooper, she will always offer ideas for the questions that we have. Our group of dogs were well curated by her. They are quite the pack! If she had the time, we would also use her dogsitting and occasional private training. dog Adventures NW has been an outstanding company. They are definitely busy which reflects how good their services is. When there are times when they can’t meet our need, they will give us a long list of other companies who may be able to. That shows great integrity. I looked at a couple of companies before hiring this one. I am very pleased with their services and Mindy in particular Mindy also has taken some of our favorite pictures of Cooper

We absolutely adore Kerry and her Puppy Play & Learn program! Our little Honey joined the shy and tiny puppies day, and it has done so much for her confidence and socialization! When she first started out a couple months ago, she coexisted with other pups but in general much preferred human company. Now, she's so excited when we drop her off and she loves playing and zooming with her new friends. We can't thank Kerry enough for her knowledge, care, and attention with our little puppy – it truly takes a village! We wholeheartedly recommend Puppy Play & Learn to anyone looking for attentive one-on-one care for their young pup.

I previously posted rave reviews for DANW for my high energy love bug Norman the Bernedoodle. Our family has grown and four months ago we rescued a Goldendoodle who is pretty severely vision impaired and on medication for seizures. The rescue told us she was very limited in her physical abilities because she can't really see... When she arrived she just wanted to play with her brother and I of course called Kerry because I trust her expertise and knowledge. I was torn because I wanted Goldie to be able to be a dog, but scared because we were warned she was limited in her abilities. Kerry spent time with Goldie and reassured me that we just had to trust Goldie to be a dog and that she could learn to compensate and rely on her other senses. Enter Alex (Norman's favorite human who doesn't live with him). Goldie started adventuring with her brother and with Alex's patience and love has become such a capable and confident pup. At first she was very hesitant walking on the different ground or when she would come in contact with bushes and shrubs. Her brother Norman would bump into her to keep her on the trail and sometimes Goldie would hold onto his tail. Alex would carry Goldie when she was unsure about walking and he was so patient with her as she found her footing. When Goldie needed to just stand by Alex to get more comfortable he would talk with her and pet her. Now she is able to run and chase after Norman and she is becoming more interested in playing with the other dogs on her adventures too! She's living her best life and is so sporty now. She recently jumped over a log on a hike right after her brother and I cried because I never thought she'd be able to do so. DANW is the most wonderful fabulous company and the people who work there are the best and love our dogs as much as we do!

From pet sitting to puppy playdates to dog training, my experiences with DANW have been nothing short of amazing! The staff is super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. My dogs can hardly contain their excitement when they realize it's time for another fun-filled adventure with the awesome folks at DANW!

I'm going to dig in here for the people who are struggling with a new puppy or young dog. Kerry welcomed us into her Puppy Play and Learn Program to try and help our dachshund, Henry socialize more and to potentially identify and sooth his quirks and anxiety. He's an awkward guy with the sweetest heart but quite frankly, we'd been to a few other establishments that offer both play and training and we did not find our match. Those experiences made me feel like a 'problem parent' and instead of assimilating him into the pack- he was isolated to practice being alone in another room in a strange place while he could hear other dogs playing and definitely came home more anxious and misunderstood and it was expensive. Like anyone else in this position you throw money at what you hope will stick and it's overwhelming. Henry loves other dogs and being part of the pack and we didn't even know that until we found our spot. Our experience at Dog Adventures NW could not have been more different. The first thing Kerry said to me via email was "He sounds like a real turkey which is just my type!". This felt like a life ring and a big warm blanket rolled in one. Henry adores Kerry and was perfectly matched to his group and we have done the 'add on training' at noon 4-5 times thus far and I can guarantee we've made significant head way each time. The one on one training has been as helpful for me because our dynamic was off and some crummy patterns were set into motion early in his puppyhood. I needed the support as much (or more) as Henry does and together we are totally finding our way. I went from crying multiple times a week (it was really bad) to getting into a rhythm that I almost did not think was possible. I have also fallen for Kerry and her professionalism, pragmatism, brilliant canine training and experience. Puppy Play and Learn is not doggie daycare. It's an incredibly balanced morning of all the things these dogs need to be on their way to awesome pets. It feels like a luxury but it is our necessity. When Henry sees Kerry- the sound he makes is like no other sound he ever makes. She speaks his language and I've adopted the lessons (training) he's learned each time he goes and we get better together. I read an awful stat the other day that said "In the US, 4,000,000 puppies come home each year and 3,000,000 of those are put up for adoption. I'm proud to say we've been officially saved from becoming part of that hideous equation when we were almost there. Henry is 10.5 months and we love each other more each day. It's been a slow burn with this puppy and we didn't sweep each other off our feet immediately which devastated me. We finally have our support system firmly in place thanks to Dog Adventures NW. Our family is so grateful to Kerry and her business will ALWAYS be in our lives. Grateful forever!! Michelle, Chris and Henry. XO

I seriously can’t say enough good things about our experience with Kira and Dog Adventures Northwest. It’s hard to believe that this combination of training expertise, and flexibility with my schedule exists, but here we are! Kira sends us regular updates and pictures, and also gives us suggestions about gear and how to work with Jupiter at home to maximize his benefit. With Kira Jupiter gets more than just an outlet for his sillies, as Kira would say, but also a highly structured and evidence based approach to training. We honestly could not ask for anything more!

Our dog has been going on adventures for almost two years now! He's a doodle with all that crazy energy and he's TIRED after his adventures! We've been working with UB the whole time and they're AWESOME! Always super communicative, they send the best write ups with pictures. UB has also been super accommodating with our dog who doesn't love other dogs. Our boy gets to ride shotgun in their truck! If you're looking for a way to get your dog exercise with a trainer you can trust, I can't recommend Dog Adventures Northwest and UB enough!

I cannot recommend Dog Adventures NW enough. Mindy, Clara and Jackson have all been incredible to work with. We have two dogs with really different needs. For overnight sitting, it's been hard to find someone that we can trust given that one of our dogs is not only reactive but has quite a few health issues. I know that he's in great hands with Clara—we can't even say Clara around the house without them running to the door and getting excited. Our dogs trust her and love her, it's hard not to get jealous! She's incredibly patient and you can tell that she really loves spending time with them and it's mutual. Mindy has been absolutely amazing with our other pup who goes out on adventures. It can take a minute for her to warm up to new people but she waits at the door every Monday for her pick up—so excited to spend the day with her friends. She does a great job of bringing her out of her shell, encouraging play and working on her other skills. We have full trust in DANW team of trainers, knowing that they promote force-free and positive reinforcement training and treat our dogs like their own. I wish we could give them 10 stars.

My daughter found Dog Adventures Northwest when I was ill and could not care for my 13 month old puppy. He spent almost 6 weeks with Kerri and I can’t say enough good things about her training and boarding. They took him right into their family and loved him like their own. He was taken on all kinds of adventures from the coffee shop to the beach. He was offered all kinds of new experiences and as a result is an amazingly well-socialized puppy. No matter if I was at home or hospital, Kerri would bring him to see me whenever I asked. She took him for puppy check-ups and vaccinations. She drove across Portland to all of our locations without one complaint. He became use to car rides as well as park adventures. My puppy returned to me as a good tempered, very social teenager🙃. I don’t regret one penny of all my puppy and I gained. Sometimes you don’t realize what a gift you have been given until it is over.

Our pup has been going on adventures with U.b. and having the time of her life! U.b is super communicative, and they send us the most awesome pup updates and photos! They have gone out of their way to make sure our shy pup has a good experience in the car and we couldn't be more grateful! Thank you, U.b!!

Just look at these before & after pics. They are so happy to get groomed at Play & Chase. The only issues we’ve ever had in the many years we’ve been having our dogs groomed here is with occasional razor burn around the sensitive areas of skin.

So thankful for everyone at Play & Chase! My french bulldog had a very hard time socializing prior to going. Over a few months they gradually worked on socializing him. We started with 3 minutes and by the end were able to go all day. Everyone was so friendly and kind, I highly recommend Play & Chase.

Play & Chase has taken great care of Janie's grooming for years, and they still do after a change in ownership. She's always relaxed, happy, clean, and trimmed up just right. The groomers are all caring and talented, and communication is great. Highly recommend grooming at Play and Chase.

Choosing a facility for your dog can be nerve-wracking, but Play & Chase Dog Care has consistently eased my worries. My dog enjoys daycare, boarding, and grooming services, and every visit leaves him at ease—no signs of anxiety. Which is VERY rare for him. Emily, Brandy, and Liz go out of their way to make sure he receives a lot of love and attention, which I known is true as he gets excited whenever we pull up and he knows where he’s going. That says a LOT about a facility. Not to mention, the grooming team's professionalism and proficiency always leaves my dog looking and feeling fantastic. I can't speak highly enough about the overall care provided at Play & Chase. This review has been long over due. Thank you Play & Chase for taking such good care of my best friend.

I LOVE taking my dog here! Of all the places I’ve taken my anxious poodle, this is the only place I’ll ever take him again. The staff here are soo good to my dog, even though he’s a handful and my dog looks fantastic after his grooming. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I have been taking Shasta here for 4 years now for everything from grooming to boarding. The staff there is always friendly and the gals that groom Shasta have always done a fantastic job. When I board her there she is not left caged up but is allowed to be out and play and is always treated like royalty! You can really trust them 100%.

Play & Chase Dog Care goes above and beyond to care for my dog!! The facility is clean, safe and the dogs have plenty of places to play and socialize. The staff of Brandi, Kathleen, Emily and Team are amazing and friendly! They also offer very affordable and reasonable grooming services!! I highly recommend P&C to all dogs and owners looking for a fun place to be!!

Riley, our French Bulldog, was taken loving care of! She enjoyed her spa day and came home happy!

I LOVE this place! The little welcoming area doesn't even begin to allow you to understand just how great it is. I took my 1year old Frenchie who has never been in this type of environment. For $5 i get an update each day to see how she was playing, anything information important to know and the report card is just such an incredible offer. The humans who work there are so attentive and supportive to the pups. They are very kind when you engage with them in any form. The prices are beyond reasonable. The place is so much bigger for the dogs and has so many little offerings you can purchase. The boarding is free roam no crates. My girl comes home so pooped out and happy that she has a place to play and board if I go out of town. I have zero complaints and highly recommend!!

We've been taking our 9 month old puppy here for a few months now and we love it (and so does he!). The staff is super friendly and very clearly care a LOT about the dogs that go to them. I love love love the daily Instagram posts, I get more excited to see what he's doing at daycare than I think I ever was about my human kids at daycare (kidding. Or am I?). Webster gets SO excited when we get there, and I can tell that he loves it and loves the humans there. Also their hours are so convenient, and love that they offer kennel-free boarding.

Wooftastic is one of the best things to happen to us since moving here. Our girl has a lot of energy and this place has made a home for her there when she needs time to run around and be a crazy little lady. We always feel that she is so well taken care of, we love their no crate boarding, which is what she was used to. Everyone is kind and attentive and we would recommend this place to anyone who has a doggy that needs daycare or boarding.

Fern loves going to daycare. The way they run scheduling, pick up and drop off, and payment makes everything super smooth. Staff is very friendly and always makes sure to ask if he has food with him and reminds me to grab his container at the end of the day. Also love the convenient hours 6am-9pm, 7 days a week as well as a good price point. They post all of the dogs everyday so you can check in on your pup they also offer extras like treats and walks and do fun activities like bubbles, aromatherapy, nose balm. Overall great place definitely would recommend.

We've been lucky enough to send our precious dog Georgia to Wooftastic for the past 8 months. They've always been so nice and welcoming when we pick and drop her off. They have great hours and rates. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in search of a good doggy daycare.

I am so happy and grateful to have found Woof-Tastic for my pup, Maya! I have been SO impressed with the kindness of the staff, their communication, and care. The environment is bright and fun and just matches what you read and see online. And I can tell Maya, although still a little timid and shy, is warming up, feeling safe, and having a great time! I feel so relieved and can not reccomend Woof-Tastic enough! <3

My sweet Ruby is always so excited to go to daycare. The team there takes such good care of her and I never have to worry while I’m away. She comes home happy & exhausted. 10/10 would recommend!

I’ll let my dog’s smile speak for itself. I’m so happy we found Woof-Tastic! The flexible booking system is easy, and I feel my dog is safe with them which is important. My girl got so excited to go on her 2nd day that she couldn’t wait to say goodbye and go see her friends. The rates are more than fair, which is a big plus. 10/10.

We absolutely LOVE Wooftastic Playhouse! Our dog has so much fun there. He is safe and well loved. They post pictures of all the dogs to their Instagram each day, which I love! There's no other place that I've felt as confident boarding my pup. I highly recommend them!!!

We have loved our experience with Dog Days’ doggy daycare so far! Our dog has some separation anxiety, fear aggression (not towards other dogs), and has a deadly bee allergy. Despite these extra needs, Dog Days has welcomed us. Our dog LOVES going to doggy daycare and is always so excited to see the staff there. While nervous in other settings, he is so happy to leave my side and walk into the doggy daycare. The staff take extra precautions to make sure that any new staff know to give my dog space, and I feel so thankful that I can trust them to care for him. Since he has a severe bee allergy, they have accommodated us by reducing his outside time and keeping one of his epinephrine injections on site, I feel such relief knowing that they would take care of him/know what to do if he were to be stung! The staff is always so kind, helpful, and friendly. Thank you Dog Days staff, we appreciate you!!!

Love this place. So glad we started using them! My husband works from home and we adopted a high energy pup. So we bring him here and he can play all day long. He's then calm for a few days. The staff is kind, they tell us about his friends and really care about him. They'll even give him a bath for only 35$. I do wish they still had a camera. But love everything else.

my pup stayed here oct30-nov3 2024 and was sick with kennel cough when we picked him up- so be careful if you’re boarding your dog here around this time. I understand it is common and goes with the risk of daycare but I am pretty disappointed they did not notify us that there was an outbreak. They would have had to have seen it going around and heard my dog’s honking cough. This place is fine in a pinch, but nothing to rave about.

I've been bringing both my dogs here for years. I've been so impressed with the professionalism and consistency of the folks here. I just moved to Portland and needed to pick someone I could trust to take care of my boy Scooter. Thankfully I picked right and was able to board him for 8 good days at Dog Days. How do I know they were good? For one thing they have cams so it's kind of cool to check in on your friend when you're on vacation or wherever. Other than just one half day I believe the cameras were all working and it just gives you a little peace of mind. I had no special services added and scheduled 8 days. I could tell he had a good time. So good in fact I could tell he missed it lol. Easy to get a hold of & they get back to you promptly. Great drop off hours and easy pickup. I have no reason to leave this place. Thank you Dog Days for taking care of my boy~

My pup has only been here three times so far, but I can tell that he loves it! We're doing one full day of daycare per week, and every time we come, he gets super excited and pulls me toward the building. I love the doggy cam because I can check in throughout the day. Every time I do, my pup is having fun playing with other dogs :) The staff is also great - they clean up after dogs immediately, give them affection, and seem very attentive (again, all stuff anyone can see via web cam). They don't do doggy "report cards" or anything, so if you need that, it might not be the place for you. But given the doggy cam, I don't think report cards are necessary. And, if you have questions about how your pup did, you can ask! All staff I've interacted with have been kind and professional.

I am so thrilled with BarkZone! I don’t normally do reviews, but they are just so amazing that I have to give them a shout out. My dog loves going there! The things I appreciate most about them are the drop-in availability (so convenient!!), ability to board my dog at the same place he goes for day services, the extra services like grooming or add-ons (brushing and treats for example) during boarding, being able to occasionally spy on him when I’m missing him via the live cameras on the website, and the friendly staff! I am so appreciate of your business model and services. My dog always comes home happy (and tired) when he spends time at BarkZone Thank you for being a place my sweet pup loves to go!

My dog loves it here. He typically does two days during the work week to break up the week. He's usually pretty chill the days following his visits after playing all day. I appreciate that I can check in via the cameras and see him playing and having fun with the friends he has made. We haven't done summer days yet and I have not been able to watch them play outside, so I'm reserving a star. Overall, it's a nice option to have. I appreciate they do the temperament tests and seem to keep a pretty good eye on the dynamics with the dogs present. Would recommend.

Barkzone was so good with my little mini Schnauzer as she was a little timid being new kid on the block. The staff was sensitive and attentive to her care and were patient with her need to ease into the scene. I love being able to see her on the web cams, and anytime I had a question they are quick to respond!!! Plus, she got a wonderfully grooming from Sergio (mobile groomer) Thank you Barkzone!!!🐾🐾

We have been taking our pooches here for a while now, and it’s def our top choice! Staff is caring, understanding, and responsive; they also have webcams available. It’s reassuring to have a place we trust and love for our boys when we are out of town. P.S., thank you for the sweet and thoughtful birthday card and email for our birthday girl!

My cowboy corgi, Ivy Mae, is almost 3yrs old. She has been a regular at the Montavilla BarkZone for the last 2 years. I drop her off approx 8am and pick her up at 4:00 pm, 1-2 x a week. All I have to say is “wanna go to Barkzone?” and she can barely wait to get together with her extended family of staff and other “kids” spending time there. She LOVES BZ and the staff has been exceptionally kind & supportive & because of that, Ivy is people and dog socialized. I’m so glad to have found my way to Barkzone, Maddie and her EXCELLENT staff. Great people, great value. Cameras so you can check in on your sweet doggies! My super hyperactive puppy gets socialization and the perfect amount of activity to allow him to relax with us in the evenings. We could not be happier with these wonderful people!

Our princess Romy is almost 3 years old, and has been a regular at Barkzone Montavilla for the past 2 years. She is all tail wags when we drop her off at BZ. The team always welcomes her with love and care and it’s clear my girl loves to be there. At pickup, we enjoy hearing about the new friends made that day. It’s incredibly reassuring to know that we have a place to take our baby girl and know that she will be in such great hands. I’ve been taking my beloved Sunbeam to be groomed at BarkZone for a few years. She is almost 16 years old and I wouldn’t trust anyone but Jessica to groom her. Jessica shows such love and care. She is amazing ❤️

I enjoy coming to work each day and seeing all the happy dog smiles! It really makes my day when a client tells me they are happy to see their dog loves us and loves coming to daycare. A day full of dog kisses is always a plus!

Drop off was great and they l listened to information about my dog and what I was looking for. Sweetie is very old, a little nervous and almost deaf and blind. They treated her with care, and Sweetie looked great and seemed happy when I picked her up. Checkout was quick and they gave a short report of how she did. Price was reasonable. Thank you so much! Wonderful experience with PetSitter Portland!! Our senior pup was well cared for while we were out of town. Great communication!! Pictures were sent and a description of how each visit went was relayed as soon as they were done. I could recommend Joe, Janice and Priscilla anytime!! Each one was very sweet and patient with our girl. It was a great experience from the time I inquired about their services, the meet and greet and set up for care. They have a great app that allows you to easily schedule, communicate, request extra services such as setting out the recycle and watering plants if needed. PetSitter Portland was great to work with and took wonderful care of our cat, Mochi. If you have questions they are quick to respond. It was a relief to know she was being well cared for while we were away. The journal entry and pictures they provide after each visit was so nice to receive. I am relieved to know I have someone to call when we will be gone.

Joe and his team are amazing! We were really worried when our usual cat sitter was not available and were apprehensive about someone else watching our kitty Luna while we were away. I saw the great reviews and looked at the website and decided I would give it a shot. I am so glad I did! Shortly after making my account, Joe gave me a call to introduce himself, talked to me about his services, and gave me a run down of how everything works. This made the experience a lot more personable and I liked that we could simply call him if we had questions or concerns about the process. We scheduled a meet and greet so we could see if this would be a good fit and everything went well. While we were away, we got lots of photo and written updates about each visit. Joe spent a lot of quality time with Luna and followed her complex feeding instructions. He always made sure to play with her and gave her lots of love. She’s usually a little timid and we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly she warmed up to him. We have now used his services for two separate weekends and everything has gone great. I trust Joe and his team and would definitely recommend Pet Sitter Portland to anyone. Thank you so much for watching our kitty!

I had an amazing experience working with Joe and his team! I contacted them last minute after another sitter plan fell through just days before my trip. I was nervous to leave my two dogs with someone I didn’t know, but from the beginning, Joe was extremely thorough, walked me through the process, and answered all of my questions with detail. Once we went away, he sent very frequent and thorough updates which were so reassuring. Joe went above and beyond to make sure my two dogs were comfortable and kept up with their regular routines while we were away. The experience exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be working with him again/would recommend!

Petsitter Portland is awesome! Professional, safe, reliable, kind, efficient, great communication and fun are just a few words to describe Joseph. He walks my dog daily during the week and Toby (my goldendoodle) loves Joseph. I feel safe leaving my dog and cat in his care. Joseph provides detailed descriptions of walks with multiple pictures. For my cat he provides detailed description of the visits and great pictures. Joseph has been caring for my fur babies for the past 9 months and I am so thankful to have found him. I have never left a review on a business before, but this business deserves the 5 stars. I recently moved into an apartment and as a young woman who works long hours with a varying schedule, I needed to find a reliable and safe solution to take my dog out for potty/walk breaks while I’m at work. The team of people who are on this crew are all very kind and great with Sammy (my 11 year old dog). They are attentive, reliable, communicative, and kind. It can feel intimidating as a young woman to let people into your space and care for your animal but i immediately felt ease when i had the opportunity to meet a few members of the crew. They utilize an app that allows for easy scheduling, and messaging. I receive photos and journals after each visit that reassures me that Sammy is well cared for. I highly recommend this company and crew if you are looking for a dog walking/ animal care service. A huge thank you to Joseph, Janice and Alana for all the support you’ve given me and most importantly, Sammy!

We recently used Pet Sitter Portland for round the clock care for our two dogs and they hit it out of the park. The website/app is great and easy for setting the schedule and seeing that the requested service occurs. The progress reports and tons of photos, cute and quirky, give real time updates.
