Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! We absolutely loved hosting Lisa and Sara and highly recommend them, they are some of the best sitters we have ever had and they're welcome back anytime!!
We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Again we feel lucky to have found her, and feel she would be a great sitter for any pets!
Kelly and Chris are lovely people and we loved having them at the house! They were very engaged from the start, asking questions and wanting to know all the details on our pets. We were completely comfortable going away and didn’t worry during our trip knowing our kiddos were in such great hands. K & C gave us pics & updates as requested, and we loved seeing our pets have such a good time with them! They left the house in as good or better shake as it was found, laundering and folding linens and tidying up so well we could hardly tell they stayed here! They were communicative before the sit, during, and after. Kelly and Chris were the ideal sitters in every way. We’d welcome them back anytime and highly recommend them to others. Thanks you two!
This was my first time using house sitters and Shanen and Ryan were wonderful. She sent me pictures of Calla and game me updates on Calla’s activities. She would be welcome to pet sit for me anytime!
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Jennifer was great and I would highly recommend her. Right from the start, Jennifer was clear and helpful in her communication, and she was very available to us throughout the stay via messaging. She sent pics of our fur babies regularly - without asking - which always makes us happy when we're away. And the biggest compliment I can give: when we came home, our pets were relaxed and happy, and no hidden cat messes to be found (we've had this happen with previous sitters a lot). I would love to have Jennifer stay at our home again in future.
Laura was amazing with communication from the very beginning. She sent updates of photos and videos without even being told or asked to do so. She was watching our cat and treated her like her own. Laura was also very responsive when we were trying to find a sitter for our dates and answered any and all questions we had about her experience with pets and house sitting. I would recommend her to anyone! :) and hope we can have her house sit again for us.
David was a super interesting guy, we had good conversation. My place was clean, my cat was happy...he communicated with me.. David is a great house and pet sitter . He is very gentle, which my cat enjoys.
Jessica was so rad. I wish she could be our go-to sitter for all our travel. Came over for an in-person orientation, took great care of house and pets and seamless communication. Thank you, Jessica!
For our first experience with a house sitter, Jim and Julie have set the bar high. We felt totally confident that any issues would be dealt with, fortunately there were none. They were outstanding house and pet sitters whom we would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. They took exceptional care of our house full of pets from 2 large dogs, 3 cats, snake, gecko, fish tank and a koi pond. They provided updates daily, were very easy to communicate with and the house was just as clean as when we left it, with the addition of a nice welcome home gift. We knew our pets were in good hands. Thank you for everything. Melissa and Kyle

Great place to take your fur baby when you’re at work for the day or going on vacation and can’t bring them with you, this way you know they’re never alone and they get to play & make new friends. If your dog is boarding with them the employees will send you daily pupdates via email with pictures to let you know how they are doing and if there’s any complications. Everyone here is very friendly and can tell they really care about the animals and their well being.
While no other place would consider taking our reactive dog for boarding, the AMAZING staff at LDCD were extremely empathetic and sensitive and offered to have Austin over again and again to make him feel more comfortable and safe. They spent so much time with us and were so patient and reassuring. Thank you Jay, Jenny, Reese, Kylie and everyone in staff for truly loving dogs and accepting and supporting our anxious dog. You have helped him open up to people and calm down. Throughout the 3 weeks Austin spent at LDCD, the staff kept us updated many many many times. I appreciate all your hard work and kindness towards dogs and humans as well 🙏
Boarding overnight / day care: Dog injured. Nose and paw injured. He came in happy and left in pain. We will have to take him to the vet to do a full check up. After taking him home, he was not himself. He was hiding and still is as I am writing this. His nose is swollen and bleeding. Absolutely No communication about this at all. Might be the reason why they did not send me pictures or videos when requested. A lot of excuses for not sending any pictures to me, which seems like a cover up of the injury. I emailed and asked for pictures and videos after I dropped my dogs off. A hour later I called about pictures. 3 hours after that I called again and after a long while finally got one picture of one of my dogs. Then after almost a life time I got a picture of my other dog. But still no videos. I called again today for pictures, nothing was sent to me. All I got was a bunch of excuses regarding the injury (I understand dogs play rough, but the injury looks so serious), and not being able to send me pictures. I got a text after I got home about a refund for the baths for both of my dogs because my dogs smelled like pee and had stains and dirt all over them after their baths. Will never recommend this place. I question the cleanliness of this place, and everything else. I was told if anything happened they will give me a call. I guess not. Judging by the pee smell and stains after taking a bath, clearly the place is very dirty and doesn’t get cleaned up, my dog could have an infection. And to say my dog was snappy during bath time is just infuriating because my dog loves bath time. Still waiting on the videos and pictures I asked for… hopefully my dog is ok. And hopefully this provides an insight as to how this place runs. I hope no dogs have to experience what my dog had to experience coming here.
We were super nervous about doggy daycare because of how wild and high-energy our puppy is, but the folks at LDCD have always been so good with her, and patient even though she is jumpy and comes in the door screaming with excitement every time. They play with her and love on her all day long, and she comes home content and exhausted. It's great to know she's well taken care of when we have to board her as well, and being able to take advantage of their newer expanded hours and ability to do late pickup has been a lifesaver. Thank you all for being so good to our girl <3 She loves y'all so much!!
My little Velcro muffin cake trots right into Lazy Dog. She loves it and they know her by name when she comes in the door and let her know which of her pals are there. The team is first rate and I am grateful to have found LDCD!
Great staff and our dog loves it there. My only improvement suggestion would be on speeding up drop off and pick up. If there's a line, the wait can be 10-15 minutes, because each dog takes several minutes.
I can't say enough good things about Lazy Dog Crazy Dog! From the moment I contacted them, the staff was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to answer all my questions and put my mind at ease. It’s clear they truly care about the well-being of every dog that stays there. They kept me updated with pictures and messages throughout my dog's stay, which was such a relief. I felt like they treated my dog like one of their own. Most importantly, my dog looked like he was having a good time and made friends (a rare moment for him). If you're looking for a safe, caring, and fun place for your dog, Lazy Dog Crazy Dog is absolutely the best choice!
I board my dog several times a year and I always trust Lazy Dog Crazy Dog - Ballard with her care. All the employees are so friendly and kind, and most important, our dog loves them. She can't wait to see her friends and get inside to play when we drop her off each time. Thank you, Lazy Dog Crazy Dog!
We love lazy dog! Our ball obsessed Sheepadoodle has the best time when she gets to spend the day with the other dogs and humans there. We have been taking here there since she was just a pup 4 years ago. We also use the boarding option whenever we have to leave her behind. We know she is well cared for and having lots of fun.
I am a first time dog owner and I was very apprehensive about bringing in my dog to a boarding facility. My dog is a rescue and very nervous around new people and new environments. Much to my delight, she has THRIVED at LDCD and has so much fun. It has even boosted her confidence. Since I adopted her as an adult dog and she was never kennel trained, I believe the no kennel approach made a big difference in her adjustment. I thought I would feel bad leaving her at a boarding facility but I know how much she loves it!
Fantastic Dog & Cat Sitting has been a wonderful partner in caring for our two cats, when we need to leave the area for a few days, or occasionally for a week or two. Dan is professional, coming to our home to meet us and our cats initially. We had a quick conversation, viewed the space and gave the specifics of their routine. He noted information for their emergency vet contacts, and where all supplies are located. If Dan has been booked when we were seeking a sitting date, he has a great team to reach out to, who've been able to help out in his place. Lynn sat for us recently, and did a great job. We feel lucky to have been able to rest easy, while our cats are being cared for by FDCS. It can be a big upheaval for pets, to have their humans gone for days. And so, to know that they're being cared for kindly by someone familiar, that seems ideal. This service is highly recommended!
I’ve relied on Dan to take care of my cat, Milo, when I travel. He does a great job of feeding and checking up to make sure Milo is taken care of while I’m gone. He even gives Milo his asthma medication using a special cat nebulizer. One thing I especially like about Dan is that the first time I used him, he came over to my house to meet the cat, made sure he knew which vet I used, and asked for emergency contacts. I’m glad I use Fantastic Dog and Cat Sitting Service and enthusiastically recommend him.
We've been working with Fantastic Dog & Cat Sitting for several years and recommend them highly! They're incredibly conscientious and responsive, and we know our three cats will be well cared for when we travel. 5 stars!!
Dan is reliable and consistently available. He has always called if any issues have occurred. We have appreciated his care of our two cats.
Dan, and Jeff, have taken impeccable care of my cat over the past 5 years. I got referred to them through my landlord who had used Dan’s services before. Always professional, very reliable, clear communication, and my cat loves Jeff. As most pet owners feel their fur babies are the most precious and special, it takes a lot of trust to leave their care in someone else’s hands. I’d also get photos and updates during care visits, which made me feel really good. I absolutely trust and recommend wholeheartedly, Dan and his team for the quality of care my pet and I received knowing my fur baby was in the best of hands! Thank you Dan and Jeff!
I have been using Dan’s pet sitting services for years! Dan is really personable, prompt, and professional. His staff care about our pets and we can leave town without worry. Jeff (one of Dan’s employees) has had a key to our home since 2018! Your pets will be loved and cared for. Jeff even picks up our mail and is happy to water our plants. Can’t recommend Dan and his team enough!
Dan has been "fantastic" with taking care of my cats when I have to be out of town. He's taken great care of my older cat who needs insulin shots, successfully dealt with the younger ones who don't really like people they don't know, and has been able to make space for me on short notice when last-minute trips have come up. He's even cleaned up messes that have occurred while I'm gone. Would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a quality and caring cat (or dog) sitter!
Dan does a great job!! We have two cats he has sat multiple times. One requires daily doses of insulin.
This is a wonderful service! When I made my first inquiry, Dan responded within a very short period of time. I was pleased because often responses are delayed for a while. I met both Dan and Jeff ( who would be taking care of my cats) and was impressed by their professionalism as well as compassion for pets. While I was away for 10 days, Jeff kept in touch with all his cat reports. When I came back, my place was tidied up and my cats were relaxed. I highly recommend Dan and Jeff!
Dan is wonderful; I’m so grateful when he cares for my cat! He is reliable, always responds quickly, and is respectful of my home. He clearly loves animals and is gentle and kind with my cat. I don’t worry when I have to be away, because I know that Dan is taking fantastic care of my cat!
Debbie is the best! She takes amazing care of our dog. She provides such a loving and safe atmosphere for all the dogs. We do not worry about our dog at all when he is with Debbie. She has a very fun instagram account so you can see your pup on a regular basis when you are out of town. It’s an understatement to say that I highly recommend her.
Debbie is amazing. We were new to Seattle when our friend recommended Debbie and it was such a great decision! Our dog is always so happy to see Debbie and has the best time when she stays. We even did an extended 3 weeks away this last summer and didn’t think twice about Debbie keeping our dog. Her standards are high, giving us the peace of mind that the dogs staying with ours are well behaved, cared for, and mesh well together. We highly recommend Debbie and the Dogs!
Debbie has been our dog walker for several years. She is just awesome - not only is she wonderful with dogs, she is extremely reliable, organized, responsive, helpful and super responsible and professional. Our dog also goes to stay with Debbie when we are out of town and we joke that she is having a better time staying here with Debbie instead of coming with us. Debbie is also just a really lovely person and someone we trust implicitly with the care of our dog.
We love having Debbie watch our dog. We've gone through many sitters and boarders in the past 6 years and Debbie is our favorite because of how caring and thoughtful she is (to humans as well as dogs!) We learned that our dog can be a good pack dog via Debbie's group walks and dog park trips. We have enjoyed getting to know Debbie and Pippin via our pickups and dropoffs!
Debbie is the best dog-loving person out there. She intuitively understands dogs, knows how to keep a group harmonious, knows your dog well, and gets them all the outdoor fun they crave! Boarding is so great too in that Debbie's home care is caring, un-crowded, and personalized. I feel complete confidence that out dog is happy and super cared for when we leave him with her. Such a relief to not worry and in fact- know that our dog relished his time with her dogs. Favorite dog-carer ever!!
Debbie has been SO amazing with my dog Oakley. She is so kind and trustworthy and always there for the pups when they need her wether it be overnight stays, walks or dog park trips! I have have 100% trust in her with my boy, and know she will take such good care of him! I know Oakley always has so much fun with Debbie and the dogs and he is always worn out when he comes home! We can’t thank her enough and we would recommend her to ANYONE!!
Debbie was our dogwalker for three years and leaving her service area was legit the saddest part of our move. Debbie is so good at what she does. She is organized, responsive, responsible and safe, and she genuinely cares about her clients — both dogs and humans. Her routine is predicable and she’ll give you ample notice if anything changes. She’s patient with the pups and brings them back home tired and happy. My dog absolutely adored her and her family. Thankfully, we live close enough for our dog to board with her, so our dog still gets to be a part of her pack from time to time.
Debbie has been our dog walker for several years and to say our dogs ADORE her is an understatement. They have done park trips, weekly walks and also boarded with her multiple times. She cares for them as if they were her own and is knowledgeable on dog behaviors. She not only knows how to handle them and keep them safe, she is so thoughtful, responsive and reliable! Just an amazing human! We recently moved cross-country and are so sad to not be clients of hers anymore but we are so thankful for the years of walks and love she provided to our doodles.
Debbie (and The Dogs) has taken great care of my 2 pups, Mateo and Lila ever since Mateo was a year old (3 1/2 years ago-or longer??). She has taught me how to be a responsible and knowledgeable dog parent and how to best serve their needs. My dogs love her and it broke our hearts when we moved and she couldn’t care for our pups any longer. I cannot recommend her highly enough, I trust her with their lives (and my heart). Melissa Carr-Buswell
I wholeheartedly trust Debbie with my dog June, and just as important June LOVES Debbie. Debbie’s pack walks and park outings provide a great outlet for exercise and other four legged interaction that helps burn energy and fosters socialization. Pre quarantine I traveled a couple weeks out of every month requiring boarding for June frequently. I never worry when she’s at Debbie’s for boarding, I know she’s comfortable and getting lots of love from Debbie and her family. Debbie is also really easy to work with and flexible which has been helpful given my sometimes hectic and last minute schedule. June bolts out of the car when we pull up to the front of Debbie’s house, tail wagging, bottom wiggling, happy woo woo’ing and I would highly recommend Debbie for all your pups day stay, walking, dog parking, and boarding needs.
As an anxious dog mom, I really trust Argos Dog Care with my furbaby. JD send lots of photos throughout your dog's stay and you can tell that he really loves what he does. He is also very flexible and even when I worked early morning shifts he was willing to take my dog in the wee hours of the morning. The price is very reasonable and the dog pack is small so it's not overcrowded. I highly recommend Argos Dog Care!
Argos Dog Care is one of my favorite pet sitting places, I feel like they really connect to my dog! If anyone is looking for a dedicated, positive, and outstanding pet sitter I would definitely recommend Argos Pet Care!😁 …
JD is amazing and always sends daily photo updates of our dog playing and going on walks. 10/10!
Argos is awesome! We have boarded our elderly pug several times and he always looks a little bummed when he has to leave.
Fantastic dog boarding service that my wife and I have used multiple times. JD is great with animals and walks his pack several miles a day.
Best Dogsitter in the PNW! We love when our Marlow gets to go over and have a great play day.
We brought our 5 month old puppy in for her first grooming experience with David. While she loves water, we weren't sure how she was going to behave with all the new scents and sounds. David was great with her for her first cut and she came back exactly how we wanted her. Next time we will go shorter for the summer. David was great at communicating timelines and making sure to trim her the way that we wanted. The whole staff at Pups-A-Daisy was incredibly kind and welcoming for our first trip. We're going to be looking into their daycare services next. Great experience!
I have been taking my very anxious and awkward dog here for day care for a couple months. The staff is so kind and they have made her so excited to be dropped off. I feel so confident that she is well taken care of which is priceless as a dog owner.
David is the only groomer I’ve been able to successfully take my dog to. He is reliable, kind and really good with big dogs. I highly recommend him. When he moved to a new company we followed him!
I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the team over at Pups-A-Daisy from their text reminders for appointments to their patience with me explaining what I want with my dog for a haircut. Not only did they give my dog the best haircut he’s had, they followed everything I was asking for. My dog is 4 years old now and since a puppy, has never once had a “good haircut” by what I wanted which by the way has not be others fault. More of my own from not being able to correctly explain it or maintain my pup. I had almost given up until I picked up my dog from Pups-A-Daisy and couldn’t have been more happy with it. Thank you team for everything. Will forever be coming to y’all as long as I live in Ballard
My dog Naomi is an abused rescue with some fear reactivity. When my past daycare closed I was incredibly stressed knowing Naomi needs time to adapt to situations and new people. Pups a Daisy has been absolutely incredible in terms of their patience and willingness to work with us. We settled on a plan to gradually expose Naomi to the facility and her daycare hours. The staff provides consistent feedback about what works and doesn’t work. She still is settling in and learning to show her personality at times, but I am so incredibly grateful to have a local business that is so kind and understanding. Naomi is a dog that can be successful at daycare and has proven it in the past and this business took a chance on us to forge a bond of trust with her.
The folks here are so kind! You can tell how much love and care they have for the dogs. My pup is SO EXCITED when we arrive. Usually they’ll have little tales and snippets to tell me about her day, but I can also check in on cameras or social media where they post stories about what’s going on - new arrivals, birthdays, silly play pics. My friend recommended this place and I take my dog about once a week so she can work on getting her play time out while I’m in the office. I love these folks and the love they show my dog. They’re literally the friendliest!
Our pup Ziggy, goes to Pups-A-Daisy for both his haircut and daycare. Both have been absolutely phenomenal! The daycare workers are attentive and so friendly. They know our pup by name and always give us an update when we pick him up. Even when I call in and ask, the sweet staff go and get the head handler to give a deep description of how he’s doing. For haircuts, we have a Lagotto so we book Kenzie, their curl expert. She is phenomenal! Our puppy has a bit of anxiety when getting cut and she takes her time to make sure he’s comfortable. She walked me through what length she thought was best. Just so attentive! And he always looks great!!! I highly recommend them and we’ll continue to go to them.
My first time taking my 13 yo small poodle to this groomer. I'd give 10 stars if I could! The experience for the both of us was so refreshing. I picked up a very happy dog who looked so handsome! Instead of being caged (like other places) dogs are free to roam around and play with one another. It is the first time since having my dog getting groomed in 3 years that I have picked him up and he was not stressed, he didn't have his tongue hanging outside from his mouth from barking the entire time. He was happy!!! I have found my new grooming place and my new groomer Kenzie...She is fantastic!
Pups-a-daisy has been stellar. Not once have I gotten my dog back smelling like urine, there are cameras so I can always check in on my pup and see how they’re doing. The staff are friendly and patient, and the dogs, who are easy to see, always seem really happy and chill! Pup comes back tired and happy. It’s so nice to be able to not have anxiety about leaving your pup somewhere!
We love this place!!! And so does our dog. You could not find a better crew to look after your beloved dog. Always kind, loving and the groomers rock too!
We love Luna’s Landing in Ballard. Our pup goes for doggie daycare a couple of days per week and is always super excited to go and has a blast with all his pals while he’s there. We’ve also boarded with Luna’s Landing a few times and the staff is kind and attentive to both our pup and to us. They send us updates each day with photos letting us know how he’s doing. My teen LOVES getting the photos/videos while we’re away. They also give great baths. Our boy practically glows when we pick him up after a bath at Luna’s Landing. We highly, highly recommend them!
We recently moved to Ballard and strolled by Lunas to see about doggy daycare There are a lot of pooches there and at least 3 humans caring for them. That felt reassuring. I took the boy in for a trial day and he entered reluctantly. He has major separation anxiety. Within an hour I had a report back on how he’s doing with pics. The pooch loved his time at Lunas This I know because every time we walk by he wants to go inside. The staff are superb: caring, insightful and welcoming. We’ve been back and will continue returning. Highly recommend plus the cost is reasonable. 5 woofs!
My 1 yr old is shy with new people, and has always been afraid of grooming utensils and dryers. She was very comfortable with the groomer when she came out, and they were so gentle with her she displayed no after-visit anxiety or separation fear. She will be happy to go back!
I was a little nervous/ sad when the green lake location closed but the Ballard location is great. My anxious dog is always excited at drop off, but happy to see me at pick up. They take very good care of her. I wish I got more pictures, but honestly they would all be the same. Nice that they have a parking lot. Drop off and pick up always go smoothly. I like that they encourage/ remind my pup to have good manners. Staff are all super duper friendly and clearly love dogs. Definitely would recommend.
I have been taking my pup to Luna's in Ballard for about six months and love it. I went through a difficult time in my personal life and the staff treated me and my pup like family. The staff and owners are incredibly kind (huge shout out to Olive!) and greet my pup with the warmest smile and biggest hugs every morning. My pup bolts into the doors and is so excited every day he gets to go to daycare. I am so grateful to have found such an incredible company. I highly recommend lunas!
I love Luna's Landing. When I first got my puppy, I was unsure where she was going to go, and then I found Luna's. My pup loves Luna's so much! She feels safe there, is comfortable with the caring staff, and (as much as a dog can) looks forward to every day she gets to go there. I have boarded her there a few times too, and all I can say is leaving your dog with other people to care for them is so hard, but not once have I ever worried that she isn't safe, or isn't being taken care of. Every employee is incredibly giving, loving, and attentive. They always make sure she eats (she's a picky girl), they are attentive to any changes in behavior, and text with pictures and updates. I love picking up my pup and hearing about her day - it's so cute to know that everyone knows her by name and that she feels comfortable with all the handlers and her dog friends. I truly trust no one else to watch my dog, and we will continue to come to Luna's for years to come. We absolutely love it, and I am so lucky we get to play there regularly.
We adopted our new puppy Lemon in April 2023 and immediately began searching for a daycare/boarding place both to give her ample social time with other dogs as well as give us a break from time to time. Luna’s Landing became our go to and our puppy absolutely loves it there! Anytime we drop her off in the morning she is teeming with excitement. The staff at Luna’s do a great job caring for her and we know she is in great hands whenever we drop her off. Highly recommend!
They always take the BEST care of my dog. He comes home happy and tired from daycare, and I know he's in good hands when he needs to be boarded. They send photos/videos and updates every day of boarding. They do an excellent job with bathing, nail trims etc. too. My dog loves them so much he literally tried to follow one of the workers into their car as we were leaving from daycare one day. I can't recommend them enough.
This is such a great spot to board and day care our pup. The staff are wonderful, and it's great to see our little guy bond with them and the other dogs there. He always comes back happy, tired, and well cared for, and we really appreciate the updates we get when we board him. It's hard to put a price on the peace of mind we get knowing he's in good hands whenever he's at Luna's!
we feel so lucky to have found this place. We started going to the Ballard location after trying other places and this is the first time our pup came back super happy! It was clear she was well cared for, the staff is super knowledgeable and kind. We are definitely long time clients now!
I brought my super reactive dog here for a reactive dog class and I loved it! The trainer was amazing and adjusted to each different dog’s specific needs. The class was extremely helpful in understanding my dog and how to work with his limitations and strengths. I recommend them to other dog owners all the time.
Our lively dog attended daycare 2x/week for 4 years followed by 1x/week for 2 years. She thrived with the individual attention from the caretakers and the small group environment. We appreciated the love and attention she received and are grateful that DDO takes such care in the people they hire. She was always excited to go to DDO. We tried other doggy daycares that were closer to our home when she was younger as a matter of convenience, but they weren't a good fit for many reasons. DDO was worth the drive across town. We also did a nose work class at DDO a number a years ago that was awesome. Thanks DDO!
We brought our dog Goose here for leash-reactive training. I highly recommend this course or any other course of Danette's. She's absolutely amazing and understands not only dog behavior, but also dog owner behavior (a lot of the learning was for us). The most important piece for us was really resetting our mindset of what are "fun" activities for Goose. We still have a long road ahead, but he's shown significant improvement since and we feel like we have all the right tools to get Goose to where he needs to be.
We enrolled our 3 yo dog in Danette's Reactive Rehab and have been very appreciative of the practice it affords her (in a controlled environment) with both people and dogs. Danette has been patient and thoughtful throughout all of the lessons, and has always encouraged us to work at our dog's pace. With a reactive dog there is no "quick fix" so it's wonderful to find someone who you know will support you through the process (and delight in your achievements, no matter how small).
terrible experience my dog did behaved excellently I payed money to -have my puppy be given treats by somebody that were not mine, upset his stomach and now for the first time ever he won't take a treat from me. -get basic advice that I knew and we were doing fine on. -have our very important routine altered. -spend time in a stuffy uncomfortable unventilated room that isn't fun or enjoyable at all, time that we otherwise would have spent going on a walk where he could learn to socialize with other dogs in a healthy and fun environment -have a bad car ride making him more apprehensive about car rides than ever do not go here
We just completed a six-week reactive dog training course with Danette. I'm so glad we signed up! Danette is an incredible teacher for both dogs and their humans. My dog was always eager to go to class, and the improvements she made over the past month and a half surpass all our previous training efforts. We can't wait to go to drop-in days and future classes! I was hesitant to join any class during the COVID-19 pandemic, but social distancing, masks, and hand sanitizer were all handled so well during this outdoor course that I never felt at risk during our lessons. I only regret not taking this course even earlier and that I couldn't give Danette a hug on graduation day for the enormous improvement she's made in our lives! Thank you, Danette! - Holly, Will, and Ladybird
Great people and worked with us through training a puppy during Covid times. Puppy play class always wore our pup out and when she was old enough to do training the positive reinforcement instruction was great. It may have been Covid and the adjustments, but some of the class was a little awkward. There were some times I felt there was talking for too long where I couldn't pay attention and work with my crazy puppy. Overall I would recommend them and Danette is very responsive and helpful.
We can’t thank Danette enough for all she’s taught us! Our 4 year old dog graduated from Reactive Rehab in April 2021. We’ve always had difficulty walking her on leash, but especially when we moved to Seattle last year. Over the past few weeks, we’ve gotten to see family and friends that we haven’t seen in a year because of COVID. We’ve received multiple compliments on how much Nina has changed and also how patient and connected we are with Nina. Not only that, I’ve had TWO strangers stop me in the past week to compliment me on how Nina and I work together! One of my neighbors who I've never met rolled down her car window as Nina and I were coming back from our morning walk to say: "I know I don't know you, but I have to say what a great job you always do with her. I remember what she was like when you first moved in and she's come a long way!” We HIGHLY recommend Dog’s Day Out if you’re looking to make life more enjoyable for both you and your dog!
Danette is kind, supportive and knowledgeable on ways to help you communicate better with your dog and for you to learn ways that your dog is trying to communicate with you. She has helped us a lot with our reactive and protective shelter dog. We are very grateful for Danette!
This isn't just training your dog, it's also training you to train your dog. They show us how to use enthusiasm and generosity to motivate dogs to behave. Over the course of several weeks dogs of various breeds and backgrounds have shown remarkable improvement. Especially when their people have been doing the homework.
