Julia and Jake were excellent house and pet sitters. Four cats and a 113 year old house are a lot to manage, but they did so with humor and resilience. My older kitty was having some uncharacteristic health issues which required Julia to take her to the vet twice while I was gone, which was above and beyond the call. All of the cats really look to both of them so I didn't have to worry about the kitties being sad or neglected. Two thumbs up.

Amanda and Rich are such an amazing, kind and understanding couple. Unfortunately our trip got canceled last minute, but we still invited them to stay with us, if they wanted too. And we are glad they did! We did decide to do a one night getaway to give them some alone time. Gabbie was so happy with them...she went on nice walks, had great snuggles and enjoyed spending time in her backyard with them. Charlie and I didn't worry one moment while we were gone. When we returned, Gabbie would run upstairs every morning to find her new friends. That lets us know she was well loved while we were gone. The evening they left, they had already washed the sheets/towels, re-made the bed, cleaned the bathroom and left everything perfect. We are very grateful Amanda and Rich decided to still do this sit despite us not going on travel. We met wonderful people who are now our friends. Now if we can just get them to move to Charleston :) In sum: Secure Amanda and Rich for your next sit. Your pet will be loved!

Jaci and Jerry were delightful and resilient sitters. We were off-line (in a remote area) for most of the week we were away and unable to communicate so they HAD to figure things out for themselves, and they did. On top of that, our power went out 24 hours before we returned, but they rolled with it even though I know it wasn't easy. I know the dogs were well loved and well taken care of in our absence, and the house was tidy and in order. All good!

What can we say about this lovely family?! We had the pleasure of having Sarah, Xavier and their adult daughter Caroline take care of our 3 doxies, and home for 2 weeks while we were in Italy. We fell in love with them from our first zoom meet to the sad goodbye when we returned. We came home to happy tail wagging pups and a spic and span home. Sarah sent us updates with photos that helped to make our trip fun and worry free. We can not recommend this wonderful trio enough. You may not get lucky enough to get the 3 of them together, but even as a pair, or single sitter you can't go wrong! Thank you again Sarah, Xavier and Caroline, we can't wait to have you back!

Susie was absolutely wonderful with our older tuxedo cat, Sambuca. She took amazing care of our home - getting the mail, watering plants and also laundering the sheets and towels before she left. Lisa and Mitch just completed a second sit with our dog, Tinsley, and we cannot recommend them highly enough! Because she was in their capable hands, we did not worry about her for a minute and were able to enjoy a carefree vacation. Kelly was a wonderful pet sitter and house sitter! Our dog Cooper adored her. She sent us pictures several times a day and he was always snuggling with her. She kept in touch with us regularly. We have never left our baby before and we were anxious about it but we ended up feeling totally comfortable with Cooper in Kelly’s care. She also kept our potted plants alive during a heat wave and took great care of the house. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Angie and Joe were fabulous pet/house sitters and overall people! Angie sent daily updates with photos. Really appreciate the extra effort they put into watering the grass and garden. The house was exactly the same as when I left (including sheets/towel washed, beds made, frig cleaned, dishes put away and trash taken out...). Pretty sure Mia was looking for them the next day as she ran to the guest bedroom. Already scheduled a second sit! If you're lucky enough to land them as pet sitter then you're lucky.

Alyssa was a very organized and caring pet sitter. This was our longest house sitter stay and she took excellent care of our home and two sweet and bossy Frenchies. I liked her communication to touch base the week before and how she initiated a shared photo album. We prefer not to get bombarded with daily text message photos and updates. She came up with a connected solution and touched base throughout her stay keeping us informed and sharing photos without a push. She even shared some travel gems about our destination as she is also a curious traveler and enjoys exploring outdoors. We would be happy to use her again.

Caitlyn, KJ, and their pup Sully were excellent house guests and pet sitters, and we would highly recommend them! I was able to meet Caitlyn and KJ prior to them house sitting for us, and we are always super appreciative when sitters are able to make that work and are willing to take time out of their schedule to come over and get the lay of the land. Their dog Sully was full of good boy energy and was a great playmate for our two Golden Retrievers. During the stay, Caitlyn & KJ sent us photos every day and followed all of our instructions for pet care to a T. They were super self-sufficient and gracious guests that left our place looking just like it did when we left, and we were very at peace knowing that our dogs were in great hands, getting lots of exercise, and romping around with new friend Sully. Gowri was very patient and caring with Irisi who got sick the day before I left. I cannot commend her enough for how she rose to the occasion and took care of my baby. She even pick up meds from the vet. My cat, Squinty, was very comfortable with her to jump in bed and wake her up early in the morning (as he would with me). I am not aware of him doing that to other sitters that have stayed at my place. I would give her 6 stars for Pet care if I can! She updated me with Irisi's condition which really help ease my mind, knowing someone looking after my furry really cared. I would certainly have her back again!

We took our dogs, Victor and Sally, to Madree and her wonderful staff for well over a decade and we had nothing but great service and our dogs were so well taken care of. We now have a new dog and we will bringing her as soon as we go out of town. I know that they give the dogs plenty of attention and care -- no need to worry when you need to travel if your dogs are taken care of by Madree and her team. Highly Recommended!
Madree and her whole staff are wonderful. I have a blind diabetic schnoodle and a codependent lab and they had a wonderful time for the whole week they were here. I will never board my dogs anywhere else now. Her prices are reasonable and they loved our dogs as if they were their own. The facility is in the country so my dogs had lots of room to run and lots of fresh air. They were so tired when we picked them up, I swear they slept for 2 days! If you are looking for a home away from home, Bed and Bone Too is the place.
I love the concept of Bed and Bone Too- it’s literally an entire house for dogs! They fit us in last minute on a busy holiday weekend which was so appreciated! The staff welcomed us immediately and warmly when we got there for drop off- they loved on my puppy right away and she didn’t even care that I was leaving. Honey, our pup, came home happy and exhausted which is what we hoped for. Definitely using Bed and Bone Too again!
We've got three dogs. So far two go for daycare but we're going to be sending the third soon. The staff is friendly and they know their stuff. The place really takes into consideration your dog's size, energy, ect. They make sure that you're dog gets to play with other dogs around the same age and size. They even make sure to keep the older dogs visually separated from the young puppy types so that the older dogs don't try to overdo it. They're very careful with the feeding of the dogs as well. They make sure the dogs don't do too much running around after eating so that they do not get bloat and or a twisted stomach. The Bed and Bone is so friendly and welcoming that I'd even feel good boarding our dogs in addition to daycare. They usually stay with friends when we can't take them with us but I honestly think they'd have more fun being boarded here.
I love this place and so does my dog. Madree and the staff are loving and caring. My dog was initially very frightened and shy and now when we get there he is so excited and happy. I highly recommend. So glad I found them.
We've been taking our dogs to Bed & Bone for over 15 years now. Madree and her team give them a lot of love and attention, not to mention a homelike atmosphere with a fenced in yard to run around. So much better than kenneling. Highly recommended!
Was checking this place out and saw that they had an ad up to hire employees. You pay your employees $8-$10 an hour??? Isn't that below minimum. People with criminal records are encouraged to apply... I will not be taking my pets here.
I urge you to read with a grain of salt the negative review written in July 2016 about Bed and Bone Too. I completely dispute the statements made by the unhappy dog owners who want to lay blame of their dog’s problems on others instead of taking ownership of them. I have had only EXCELLENT care of my Yorkshire terriers at Bed and Bone Too. Due to my travel schedule until recently they spent more of their time at Bed and Bone than with me. The B&B team lovingly cared for them including brushing their teeth, washed their feet and bottoms, and fed them their glucosamine tablets daily. They always arrived as beautifully clean and fresh smelling as when they left me. Even more important, they helped the little guy (only 7 pounds) through a terrible stomach problem just 2 months ago. I credit them with saving his life. I highly recommend Bed and Bone Too and know you will soon be writing similar reviews after your dogs’ get to spend some time there.
Josie is so well cared for and loved at Bed and Bone Too! She always makes new friends, fur and human. They take care of her medication and she isn't in a tiny kennel! They put the dogs together by size, temperament and activity level. She comes home well loved! Can't say enough about what a God send the dog taxi is when you return home exhausted! This place is so friendly. I have 3 medium sized dogs an they kindly accommodated all of them in one suite so they could be together. I could tell after picking up the dogs they also loved it. They were happy and showed zero signs of any stress

We cannot believe our luck to have found this home away from home for our dog Dutch. They are all so kind to us and him. Incredible customer service always. Beautiful, clean facility and grounds. We’ve never thought twice about leaving him in their care and won’t leave him anywhere else now. If you want a clean facility and reassurance that your pet will be well taken care of, then look no further! We booked a week long stay for our two dogs well in advance but also knowing we may have to cut our trip short by one day due to an availability issue. The communication from Lori was top notch and i’ve never received this kind of customer service with any other facility. She went above and beyond by reaching out to those with upcoming reservations which in turn opened up that additional night for us. This was our second time using this facility, and we will continue to do so. Thank you Lori and staff for taking such great care of Koda and Marley!
Our dog Maverick can be very nervous around new people/places/dogs. The staff at Hidden Acres was beyond amazing. They talked to us at length about all of our concerns at followed through with excellent service while he was there. It was clear their staff not only love dogs but are extremely knowledgeable on how to care for them. I can't say enough about the level of service they provided and would highly recommend them. Special thanks to Heather for easing our nerves when dropping Maverick off and to Lori for all the updates, pictures and videos.

The staff at Ruffin Inn are beyond wonderful. They all love animals and treated my dog so well! Patches had an extended stay and she loved every minute. I chose Ruffin Inn because of the frequent playtime and socialization for the dogs. Plus, I got to see daily pictures of Patches playing with the other dogs on Facebook. We love Ruffin Inn! I’ve been bringing my 2 dogs here since they were very young and they get so excited as we drive over for daycare or for overnight boarding. We have a high energy lab and a very affectionate golden retriever. The staff are so great with them both and their individual needs. You can tell the staff really love and care for the animals. There are different play groups for different energy levels and they are both tired and ready to relax when they get home. I would definitely recommend Ruffin Inn.

Outstanding place to board our dogs and cat when we go out of town. The staff is wonderful and the dogs get loads of playtime, exercise and attention. I highly recommend Ruffin Inn to anyone looking for a place for their pet while they are out of town. My Cocoa is deaf after an ear surgery, and needs various medications, and they always do a phenomenal job with her. They post awesome pictures everyday, so you can see how your pet is doing. On Cocoa's last stay, it was also her birthday, so they gave her a hat and then a pig's ear, and posted pictures, which was really fun to see. I love knowing that my dog is happy, safe, and in good hands when we are gone!

Violet was an absolute delight to work and wonderful for my firat experience with hiring a pet sitter. It is obvious she enjoys her work and has a real affection for other people's pets. She spent an hour each day with my kitten, both playing and snuggling. She was great about sending pics to show me my kitten was happy, healthy and well cared for. She even brought treats and toys to keep her engaged and entertained. She was diligent about food, water and litter on a daily basis, again sending pics, and even offering to get all my trash out on garbage day. Our boy Zeke just completed a 30 day board and train with the Canine Cabin. Cristina & Justine were amazing with him. Zeke is a crazy but happy one yr old boy in general but you could tell he loved his trainers and just wanted to please them. I also appreciated the daily report cards and photos so that I could see how our boy was doing while we were away from him. Now the real work starts with continuing the ongoing training at home.
Christina, Justine, and the whole Canine Cabin crew are wonderful. They are so kind to my dog and give her lots of love when she goes there for daycare! 🩷 Christina also does a wonderful job grooming my goldendoodle 🐾 She always looks amazing when I pick her up. I'm so very glad I found this place, and Persephone is too! Update: Christina, once again, gave my girl a wonderful haircut. I keep it short in the summer months because Persephone loves walkies and gets rather hot with long hair. Christina does such a great job of making it short but keeping Persie looking beautiful 🌸🌺🌷
My GSP had a blast here overnight and for the day!!! They updated her “report card” with photos and after she had her meals which was awesome. We will be boarding her here again soon, and in the future for sure!!!! Also considering putting her in training since we had such a great experience from the moment we walked in and dropped her off, to when we picked her up. Absolutely nothing bad to say about Canine Cabin and I don’t think my puppy has anything negative to say either 😊 I love how they have a base rate for boarding, and they don’t charge an extra night if we don’t pick up by 1030. Only a daycare rate, and from other boarders I was going to be charged for 2 nights. It was super simple to create an account online, request reservations (which were approved in a timely manner) and pick all the extra add ins you want. We had such a great experience!

Canine Cabin was a great experience for my dog. I got daily report cards and pictures and the communication was great and the drop off and pick up hours were great. My dog was a happy boy and I asked for a bath on departure day and he was so handsome!! I’ll definitely book again.
Our 2 pups did very well at Canine Cabin. We greatly appreciated the progress reports and pictures of them playing with other pups. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of both us and the pups. Everything was clean, well organized, and exactly as we were told it would be. The staff was very open about our touring the facilities and other areas of the facility. Our pups came home tired, and obviously well cared for. We will definitely use their services again and recommend them to others.
Canine Cabin has taken great care of my pup, Nala for a couple of years now. Nala requires some extra special love as she can be reactive to strangers. When she gets groomed here she comes back looking lovely. I am never worried to leave Nala here when I am out of town. They treat Nala like their own.
Very good faculties with staff that treat dogs well. It is a kennel with plenty of space, so you get what comes with that- a lot of dogs smelling like dogs! But my two are always in good hands, and I don't need to worry while away. I've also done a lot of the classes and agility there. Easy to find and beautiful property with parking being a breeze. Although I like personal in- home care best for my dogs, Canine Cabin is perfect when that's not available for us. Rachel, the owner, is top-notch.
Our dog is very old and they take extremely good care of him. He even wags his tail going to their door. Which we would have to pick him up when we took him somewhere else. We trust them to make sure he doesn’t gets stressed out or wore out. He has arthritis and they make sure he doesn’t get sore from the grooming. Our friends also use them for their Bernese mountain dog, she is so beautiful when they are finished with her.
Highly recommend Canine Cabins! They took such great care of my dog Nova and she was SO excited to go there. We went on a 7 day cruise, and Canine Cabins made sure she was loved and cared for during that time. They had daily reports and some of the cutest pictures of Nova!
