Lap Pets Cherished by Youthful Mostly Retired Couple
This was Lisa's second stay with Finn and Matteo, and that's always great for the cats. They were happy and healthy when I returned, and I was grateful for photos, Lisa's reports about them, and the time she spent with some supplemental plant watering. I really appreciated how responsive she was to my occasional check-ins, and I'd love to invite her back anytime. Thanks Lisa!

Responsible Animal Lover & Experienced Caretaker
Stephanie was an excellent housesitter - personable, responsible, tidy, and an excellent communicator. The chickens and the wood stove exceeded her previous experience but she was up to the challenge and managed beautifully. My only regret is that we didn’t get to spend more time together.

Kind and caring solo housesitter
Amelia recently stayed at my house to take care of my home and my kitty, Nina, and I couldn't be more pleased with her services. From the start, she communicated clearly and proactively, ensuring I felt at ease while away. She regularly shared updates on how Nina was doing, including sending adorable pictures, which I appreciated immensely. Amelia left my house immaculate, showing her respect and care for my home. She was the PERFECT house sitter, exceeding all my expectations. I highly recommend her and sincerely hope to have her back in the future. Thank you, Amelia, for your outstanding care and professionalism!

Homeowner, gardener, retired, seeks critter companionship
Lisa kept communication with us and took pictures reassuring us that the cats and the chickens and the garden were in great hands. We came home to a well cared for and very clean house and happy pets. All that and she’s very friendly and kind as well. If she has the opportunity to housesit for you, you will have found a treasure. Thank you Lisa!

Katie was a great house/pet sitter while we were away. We had an unexpected freeze and she was very helpful in taking house preparations which I greatly appreciated. We returned to a tidy home and happy pets.

Friendly and flexible loving caregiver.
Kate was great! After meeting her in person, I could tell that she was very reliable and communicative, and would be a perfect sitter for my cats. It was so nice to be away and not worry about the sitter as I knew Kate would take care of everything! And she did. She sent me pics while I was away and she also was willing to handle an unplanned home repair. Most importantly, the cats were very happy and seemed well cared for when I returned. I will definitely ask Kate to sit again!

Janis and her husband Dan were beyond phenomenal! Communication was great leading up to their arrival, especially with coordinating arrival and departure times. And during the sit, I got lots of picture updates throughout of how Isabel was doing. I could tell from the pictures how comfortable and happy my dog was hanging out with Janis and Dan and getting all the pets and attention. Coming home, everything was left so clean and organized. I definitely recommend them as pet sitters as they clearly took such good care of both my pup and my home.
Another amazing sit by Anna and her lovely family - our cocker spaniel Holly has had the best fortnight with these guys with lots of adventures and endless amounts of love and attention! Highly recommend as 5-star house and pet sitters - thank you Anna - hope to see you again!
Amanda was the perfect housesitter and pet sitter for our cat. She is organized and communicative, and took care to ensure she understood the guidelines for taking care of our home and our cat. She left our house in perfect condition and we returned home to one happy kitty! Would not hesitate to have Amanda housesit for us again or recommend her to others looking for a sitter.
Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. We would absolutely recommend them as responsible and thoughtful pet sitters who can be entrusted with the care of your home and pets.
This was my first time using house sitters and Shanen and Ryan were wonderful. She sent me pictures of Calla and game me updates on Calla’s activities. She would be welcome to pet sit for me anytime!
Angie and her husband Joe were a great fit for our house and pet sitting needs! They kept in communication with us before our vacation started, and were able to arrive a little early so we could walk them through how various systems worked and where controls were located. Our dog bonded with Angie very quickly and I think he was hoping she would stay after we returned home :) We got regular updates and pet photos while we were traveling. Although we were out of cell phone range for several days, we never had a doubt that things at home would be just fine while they were there! They were also very flexible and understanding. Due to our flight schedule we arrived home in the middle of the night. Angie was able to feed and walk our dog, clean up and leave in the morning without waking us up! The house was left clean, the garden was thriving and our pup was happy. We are happy, and would be happy to have them back again as sitters anytime.
I have had 4 pet sitters this year so far. And Liz was the best! She was wonderful with cats. She has an easy going manner and is very comfortable to be around. Very smart and she is a great communicator. She followed all directions and left the house spotless. I highly, highly, highly recommend her! I would have her again anytime!
Laura was amazing with communication from the very beginning. She sent updates of photos and videos without even being told or asked to do so. She was watching our cat and treated her like her own. Laura was also very responsive when we were trying to find a sitter for our dates and answered any and all questions we had about her experience with pets and house sitting. I would recommend her to anyone! :) and hope we can have her house sit again for us.
Laura is hands down the best sitter that we have ever had care for our pets and house! Having her stay made our trip away so care free and added a super fun layer of getting her daily (morning and night!) updates with photos and videos, some were hilarious I love Laura’s sense of humor! We were gone 8 days and when’s we arrived home our house was cleaner than when we left, mail on the counter, yard was picked up, it was beyond what we would expect. This made our first day back so easy. Oh’ and our pets were so relaxed and happy we knew they were loved and taken care of while we were away. Laura knew that we were coming home late and she even had bought a yummy quiche, rolls, fruit and juice so that we had breakfast in the morning! Laura is responsive, a great communicator, I could go on but simply put she is welcome at our house anytime. Simply the best!! Thank you tons Laura!!

The first time I saw Chris Z of GDDC&SC he was walking 9 dogs near where I work- I had just moved to Willits & could not believe my good fortune because I had only seen that action on NatGeoWild!! So with his permission, I filmed him & then got his number. As soon as I was off work, I made arrangements for my two dogs to pack walk with him & also got on his waiting list for when he opened his shop on Main Street. (BTW! The design of the shop is just amazing! Go Diz!) - My Lab mix had basic training but was so under-exercised (combined w/ my own inconsistent pack leadership) that he often redirected his energy escalating-to-aggression upon seeing dog-passersby (-esp in the car) toward my usually dominate beagle-mix. And she had her own issues too: very nervous around other dogs (no kidding ya?); she would salivate to the point of dripping foamy spit like a St Bernard. Well Chris has rehabilitated them both. Bongo the lab is a high energy boy & Chris’s work & service has been a game changer for him. See him sleeping - photo below? That’s an after school napnap! Bongo is also a recovering Ballaholic & has learned how to play ball w/o fixating on the ball because Chris trained me HOW to enforce a “wait” before bolting after the ball-it was a revelation. Sook is also thrilled & says “thank you Chris!: no more redirected/misdirected chomps” & now (bonus!) she has other friends to share a lounge chair with! (See photo - /not at the shop/five years ago she would have been hiding under a bush slobbering uncontrollably) If you have ever wished to have access to a world class dog whisperer-little Willits Ca has a bonafide one right here. Chris is a joy to be around, he is simply gifted & has worked for years to hone his craft. (He was a dog walker in NYC!) My dogs adore him I adore him. NYC surely misses him. I would be remiss if I did not also share that Chris served in a sacred duty for me in a most unusual way - before the pandemic - by handling my dogs at my mother’s graveside service. It was a comfort to have them with me; my mom loved dogs & all animals, so having my dogs there was a way of honoring that part of her. Chris understood this & was also the only person that I could have trusted on that particular day to handle them so that I (and they!) could remain completely relaxed regarding behavior and safety on the day she was buried; (Background: Chris does pickups and dropoffs) and on that day - Christmas Eve- he took them to and from the cemetery, such compassion & support one never forgets; during that period of time he also helped me pull my frail mother up in her bed on several occasions (while she was in Hospice care at my home) then took my dogs off to play school. In addition, he is extremely conscientious about cleaning his facility, his gear and vehicle. He masks up before coming into contact w/ his clients and visitors to the shop. I (and many) appreciate that additional professionalism.
Chris has a great business model that is very hard to find. He has professionalism, yet at the same time is so personable to be around and loves the dogs like his own. You know your dog will be in good hands with Chris. Each day he takes all the dogs on a long pack walk, which is great for the dogs physically, socially, and is like a lesson for the new pack members as they learn to walk along with the group. Plus they just love it! After that they head back to the Day Care for the rest of the day for more fun and some relaxation. We have also had Chris do some one on one work with our dog to help her with some leash training and other skills and he did an amazing job. I highly recommend Chris!
We have a mixed breed dog that is an only child of older parents. So needless to say, he had some issues. We were so happy when we came upon Chris' Good Dog Day Care & Social Club because it was exactly what all 3 of us needed. We had been searching for a long time and driving from Potter Valley was well worth it once we found him! Chris is a skilled and knowledgeable dog master. Right off the bat he told us a few things we needed to change and work on with our dog. For the next couple of days he took extra time to model for us and work with our dog, not just telling us what to do. By pointing out ways we could improve our work with our dog his behavior began to change, too. He was so helpful! We appreciated his frankness and honesty, as it was exactly what we needed as dog owners. One can rest assured that while your dog is at Good Dog Day Care & Social Club they will be attentively watched and taken care of so that they feel balanced and comfortable. Be sure to take Chris up on the Pack Walks because your dog will be one happy camper being part of a pack! His prices are incredibly reasonable and he is willing to take the time to share his expertise with you. Quit wasting time on YouTube training videos! Chris is the real deal.
We were so happy to find Chris, we have two dogs that needed some socializing and long walks. He is very friendly, professional and was so helpful with our one dog that needed a little extra socializing. He also really helped me have more control when they are on the leash, walks are so much more enjoyable now! Our dogs loved it when they spend the day with Chris and the pack. I always like to see the crew walking around town. Thanks Chris!
Maggie and Sadie LOVED going to Good Dog Daycare with Chris! Unfortunately we moved out of the area and I’m pretty sure the girls still miss going. We highly recommend Chris/Good Dog Daycare and Social Club! It’s the best!
Chris was super nice and caring to my dog. He took great care of him while I was at work and my boy was always tired and happy when I picked him up. I would highly recommend him if you need a dog sitter.
We had booked an app-based sitter nearby, but when we showed up the day of our vacation, the situation was not at all what we were told it would be or safe for our dogs, so we called Blue Ribbon and they made an exception to their normal rules for us to drop off in the afternoon. They took great care of our dogs and saved our vacation since we could go and actually relax, knowing they were safe.
Blue Ribbon Pets is exactly what your dog needs. It is a daycare and overnight kennel. They are kind and personable. I have kept my small dog overnight many times. The staff is knowledgeable and your pet is safe. They offer other services such as nail trimming and baths. Truly a great place.
I’m not sure if they have a new groomer but my one dog looks, and smells, awful! I’m pretty sure they did not even give him a bath. His face is dirty and he smells like baby wipes. His hair on his face is crooked. I asked them to shave my other dogs bottom, and they did not. In addition, it cost $240 for both dogs before tip. Both dogs are under 20 lbs and they were last at this groomer 3 months ago. Last time I was very happy with the outcome. I’m not sure what happened this time, but it is awful. I’m very disappointed because I had been so happy with them in the past. I didn’t expect this. The picture below is 15 minutes after leaving the groomer. They also did not trim his toenails.
Dropped off my dog on a Friday and picked her up Sunday. She had a great time and came back acting very relaxed. I had no anxiety about dropping her off. Everyone there were very kind and informative.
They are great here! My dog detested getting her nails trimmed in any way. They were patient enough to take her and spend the time she needed to get her nails done. They also gave us home recommendations to make the visits easier for her. She's made a lot of progress in the few visits we've had. So thankful for the team at blue ribbon!!
I'm very happy with Blue Ribbion Pets, they gave my cat a BATH, cut nails ,she smelled dirty, when I walked in ,now she smell wonderful, they calmed her down before bath. When I give my cat another bath ,im taken her there.
Great people. I have my dog groomed and short or long term pet boarding.
Tried them for the first time and the first thing I noticed was the attention they paid to the animals. My Max was not so anxious about being left behind. Then when I picked him up I could tell that he had been well cared for. He also looked amazing, he has never looked so good after a visit to the doggie spa. In short I am extremely satisfied and Max will be back and he will never go to another groomer THANK YOU Blue Ribbon Pets for taking such good care of my boy.
Horrible experience. HORRIBLE. The owner Kelly Boesel is very unprofessional. I was trying to board my cats there in an emergency but she refused my business screamed at me that i had shorted her brother on a job he did for me. I asked her who her brother was because I have never shorted anyone in my life on any job, even bad jobs, She told me Pest Control. I never had any pest control done at either of my houses. Then she said, "you look like a person who is going to dump there pets on me".!!!! OMG this woman was so rude and stupid. I offered to give her any amount of deposit that she wanted to feel safe about me dumping pets on her. Any amount and I also told her to call my Veterinarian Dr, Charlotte Burns who has known me for years and knows that I rescue kitties, I do not dump them. Everyone at Mendocino Animal Hospital knows me and would have given her a thumps up recommendation about me. But Kelly Bosses would not make the call. Instead she refused to board my 3 kitties leaving me stranded in a medical emergency that required me to get to SF as soon as I could. I ended up calling Charlotte Burns, my vet. Though they do not do commercial boarding at MAH, she took my kitties in, thank goodness. Love Doc Burns, Love her. Huge thumbs down on Blue Ribbon Pets and owner Kelly Boesel.
It was a five-star experience at Blue Ribbon. They're very kind, quick to answer questions pertaining to the business. haircut Nails shampooing all the things that dogs get . In the a perfect timing Manor. I'm was very please . It is going to be my dog's second home. Plus they have a kennel for the times you go on vacation. A nice safe place for your dog and will not have to worry about a thing.very nice employees that show you they care. Thanks Blue Ribbon! 🐕
After boarding my little yorkie in kennels all around the area and always picking him up sick with kennel cough, or even a hurt leg, and taking weeks for him to unstress, I was very skeptical of everywhere. Just seemed no good solution for leaving him anywhere. I was referred to Christy, and was still skeptical until I met her and saw her place! She is so nice and her place is really clean and dog friendly! You can tell right away how great she is with dogs. She kept him for 10 days, and sent daily pictures and updates. I felt really good about where he was and how he was being treated. I picked him up and he was so healthy, happy and even bathed! So nice to be able to know I don't have to stress about going away anymore and what I will do with Max! Thank you so much Christy, you're a gem!
My two pups Bella and Bode just love Christina's pet care. They didn't want to leave when I came back to pick them up! I know they are in loving, caring hands when I drop off at Christina's. My highest recommendation !!!
Christina is fantastic! She took care of our large, energetic puppy, Charlie, for 8 days. This was my first time boarding a pet, so I had concerns. But Christina eased all of those right away. She was very quick to respond to my inquiry and asked all the right questions to learn about our puppy. While we were away, Christina sent pictures, videos and updates daily. She even made homemade food to add to Charlie's kibbles! Upon pick up, I could tell Charlie felt very comfortable with Christina and had had a great stay. She is the only boarder I will call next time we have a need.
This is Molly my puppy who spent 3 nights at Christina's pet sitting. Molly made new friends and enjoyed her time. Christina sent pictures every day of activities that Molly was involved in with other dogs and cats as the picture shows. I highly recommend Home Away From Home if you need a caring person to take care of your pet.
At first I was a bit apprehensive leaving my beloved dog with someone I did not know. However, upon meeting Christina and seeing the way she treats her own dogs and how clean her house is I felt very comfortable leaving him there for a few days. Christna is great and treated my dog extremely well. She sent pictures a few times every day and I could see that my dog was happy and well taken care of. I highly recommend Home away from home Christina pet sitting. Everything was great!
I highly recommend Home Away from Home, Christina's Pet Sitting and I would give her 10 stars if I could. Right away when I contacted Christina I could tell that she was very professional and cares a great deal about animals. Before my Mia came for the weekend we arranged for a meet and greet to make sure my dog would get along with her pets. Luckily, all went well. Mia had a great time at Christinas and she sent me daily pictures and updates which I truly appreciated. The name of her business accurately describes that it is a "home away from home" for your pet.
Our dog needed a sitter for one night at short notice. Christina was super flexible and helpful. It was the first time in our dog's life to spend a night without us. At 5 months old, he and Christina did a great job. The next day we picked him up safely. He was a little intimidated, but that was certainly due to the unfamiliar situation. Payment was made in advance. Everything went smoothly and in a friendly manner. If we need a dog sitter again, we turn to Christine.
Initially I was hesitant on the idea of boarding at a non traditional kennel facility, but boy was I wrong. My two fur children got the 5 star hotel resort and spa treatment. Christina is an absolute amazing sitter here in clearlake at Home away from home. Christina was extremely welcoming and showed me around her house and where the dogs would be staying. I was very pleased with how she was welcoming to my dogs who have never stayed in another persons home before. She sent updates throughout the stay, and plenty of pictures that made my work day go by quicker. She was extremely thorough and required all paperwork of current vaccines for both of my dogs which again, showed me that she was very careful and mindful of illness that may arise from not having vaccinated pets. When I came to pick them up, she even included a complimentary doggy dinner that she makes organically at home. I was so pleased with my dogs stay that we have decided to board with her weekly. Christina was an absolute delight and my pets had a great time! 5 stars!
Need someone to watch your animal while you are away? Want someone who will care for your dog just like you would? Want your dog to stay in a clean home with someone who loves animals? Christina is the person you need! Christina took excellent care of my dog while we were on a 3 week vacation. She loved him, walked him, made him homemade dog biscuits, and texted us daily with pics and told us how their day went. Don't take your dog to a kennel, take them to Christina and know that your loved one is safe and happy while you are away.
I am a travel, nurse and work long hours at the hospital. I’m usually gone for 13 hours at a time, and am always needing a place to take my puppy when I work. Christina’s house has truly become my dog”s home away from home! Driving to Christina‘s house on a work day is what my puppy’s, Juniper favorite thing! She jumps into the car and wiggles all the way there. Juniper runs straight from the car to the door and rushes through the door when it’s opened!. If she could turn around and say to me how much she loves it here I think she would. But how happy she looks says it all!!!!
Ann was so lovely to work with. I talked with her several times before our arrival for our wedding and she ensured that my pup's stays were seamless! She observed the dog's initial introductions appropriately and loved our Roma! Absolutely beautiful and stunning property for pups to hang out!
We had an amazing experience with At Last Farm and I am whole heartedly recommending it. It's a safe and professional place for dogs. The dogs have lots of space to roam freely, everything is safe and double fenced and they are being supervised all day. Since it was our first time boarding our dog Frank I was quite nervous. Ann was great! She took the time to sit down with us so that Frank could familiarize himself with the new environment and the other dogs and so that we could get a better feeling too, before leaving him with her. Ann is very experienced and you can feel that the dogs well being is her highest priority. The way they followed and listened to her it felt like the dogs there all belonged to her. I believe that more generic boarding places will always tell you that your dog is fine, so that you will bring them back. But for some dogs places like that are just highly stressful. I was worried about that, so I highly appreciated that Ann was honest about how Frank was doing during his first boarding experience. Ann is a genuine and wonderful, dog loving person and I would board Frank again with her without any hesitation. Thanks again, Ann!
Ann, the owner, is a valuable asset to our community. She has 7 acres for our beloved pet dogs to play on. My sweet Australian Terrier, Ziggy, loves going there. She stays out all day with the dogs while they play. Everything is double gated to prevent accidental escapes. I highly recommend.
A wonderful dog resort that radiates love, positivity, and safety. Ann runs a lovely business that provides a safe, unique, and fun space for dogs to play, relax, and rest. Gus, our 2 year old Goldendoodle loved his stay at At Last Dog Camp & Boarding.
There is no better place to board your dog and no more caring person than Ann Kanitz. Its like a Utopia for dogs. The property is double fenced and they have the freedom to explore.
Never a more beautiful setting for your dog to have the perfect stay. It is nestled amongst the Mendocino coast redwoods.
Rude and extremely unprofessional!
We boarded my dog at Woodland Kennel over spring break. She was very well cared for. I would definitely recommend them for pet boarding.
Woodlands Kennel was recommended to me by a friend and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. The owners are capable and compassionate. They listen carefully to directions and exude quiet leadership with my dog. My dog is a young, large, and high energy, and needs engaged care and limits. She loves the one-on-one attention she receives from Mark and Karen, and I have peace of mind knowing she is understood and treated with genuine care. Woodlands is clean, quiet, and feels more like a home atmosphere. When I think about some of the experiences I have had kenneling my dog in places where the noise was deafening, I can understand why transitions to and from the kennel have become so much easier! I'm so grateful to have found Woodlands.
Mark and Karen are absolutely the best! They are both very interactive with the dogs, walking playing and just them lots of love! Wouldn’t go any where else ❤️
Awesome place to bring your dog, the owners care so much and take good care of your pets!
Mark was super nice and professional, he accommodated our last minute needs and our fussy dogs!
Great vacation spot for dogs..well cared for in a great facility
Great place for daycare or overnight stay for your dog. Splinter gets so excited when we turn onto the road and he sees the building. It is easy to see everyone there really loves dogs and Valeri, the business owner, is so nice and easy to work with. I feel confident my Splinter is happy and safe at Rover. Highly recommended!
Great place, good energy. Valeri was easy to talk to. She even took the time to send me a couple of pictures of my dog Hank with his new play pals. The look on Hank's face said it all. (Happy dog.) And speaking of Hank, he's been pestering me to let him say a few words about his stay at,"Send rover on over." Hi Hank here, I promised my mom I'd keep it short. But it will be tough because i have soo much to say. I really like this place. I have a new best pal, "Milo." He's everything you'd want in a friend. Fun, funny and spontaneous. He even looks like me After a hard morning of play we have naptime. Now, naptime is not something I usually look forward to but I actually welcomed it here. The people that work here are kind and friendly. And get this, we even get to bring our own bed and blanket for overnighters. How cool is that!? I give ,"Send rover on over" 5 plus tail wags.
This place is wonderful. They are very knowledgeable about dogs and provide a high quality experience.
If you have a fur baby and need day care, play dates, boarding or training Send Rover on Over is the place. I trust Valerie and staff with my heart. Her name is Molly. She has so much fun playing with the other pups and begins whinning as soon as we turn onto their road. I can't recommend it more highly.
My dog loves it here! Great supervision. Dogs are carefully assessed for temperament, and grouped with dogs with similar energy levels. No aversive methods used. My dog comes home tired but not exhausted.
Started bringing my Wesite weekly for daycare to socialize and we couldn't be happier. Valerie is so knowledgable , caring and truly an advocate for the dogs in her care. I felt she really knows her craft and watches out for all of the dogs, choosing what is best for them in different situations. My Westie is so happy now to go for her "day of play"..Next we will plan an overnight . I Know my dog will be in the best of hands..Highly recommend
Very happy to say that "Oliver" the groomer listen to what I wanted. He nailed it. Schnauzer cut all the way. Valeri is easy to talk to, she worked with me on my time. I have a new grooming family. Woohoo.
Very insightful related to dogs, dog care, breeds, disposition etc. Training and socialization are core part of the system and they are In touch and in tune the individual dog. We were pleasantly surprised that Becca correctly identified the dog's breed which had excaped us. She served as the advocate for the dog and his interest: we could not have asked for anything more. All the dog's in daycare seemed happy and content.
My dog got kennel cough her because Val goes on the 'HONOR SYSTEM" when it comes to checking pet vaccines. Been boarding and going to classes with my sogs for 25 years and this has never happened. Very unprofessional.
Had "Signature" waygu burger. Hooked to perfection. If you want medium rare, order medium. Margaritas made with fresh ingredients. Can hardly wait to try their ribs.
Fetch made is so easy to find a great sitter for our dogs. Ours dogs loved the company each night while we were out of town. Would highly recommend!
Fetch has become my go-to dog walking service over the past couple of years. It’s easy to schedule dog sitters and I’ve been able to use the same two wonderful walkers, giving me great peace of mind. Robyn, the owner, is wonderful to communicate with, and I’m also able to communicate directly with my dog walkers. The status reports with pictures and updates for each visit are so thoughtful and appreciated. Fetch is the best. I’ll keep coming back! 🎾
We had the most wonderful pet sitter through Fetch! She was so attentive and her updates were charming and detailed and so much fun for us to read - and the photos were fantastic! We were able to relax on our trip knowing our kitties were in very capable and conscientious hands. Cannot recommend Fetch more highly.
I’ve been a client of Fetch for several years and I would highly recommend them to any pet owner. We use Emily to visit our three cats and could not be happier. Prompt, professional, trustworthy. What else could anyone want.
Fetch is a truly great company with a wide variety of services, reliable and caring staff, quick response rates, and reasonable rates. I’ve used them for several years and have never had a problem.
Fetch! were a huge help when we were staying at Cavallo Lodge with our dog and needed someone to come to the hotel and stay with her on New Year's Eve. They found a perfect match for our pup. They were responsive and very professional and our sitter put us (and our pup) quickly at ease that our pup was in good hands. We would definitely use them again.
Fetch! Always takes care of our two cats! They always manage to fit us in with a pet sitter even at the last minute. Really helpful company. Would recommend highly.
We have used Fetch Pet Care for our 17 year old poodle. Because of her age she needs a little extra TLC. Fetch has proven very dependable and kind with out dog. They kept us posted while we were out of town how she was doing and contacted us with any questions. Our house was left in perfect condition and we came home to a very well cared for dog.
We moved to Sonoma 2 years ago and feel so lucky to have found our petsitter Lois, through Fetch. She's reliable, caring and easy to work with. Our two older cats now require medication and Lois has been very accommodating with their changing needs. Most importantly, the kitties are completely comfortable around her and we feel good knowing we've left them, and our home, in capable hands.
We have been using Fetch for many year to care for our cats while we travel. It has always been a great comfort to know that the pets we loved were being so well cared for. The daily journals and pictures we received showed are cats as active and happy. The litter is always clean when we return. In addition, our plants had been watered and mail taken in. Once, part of a tree fell in our yard, and the pet sitter texted us pictures, which allowed us to schedule tree service as soon as we got home. Our current pet sitter is a delight to work with. We sometimes think our cat is disappointed when we return. In short you could not do better than using Fetch for your petcare needs.
I recently had my dog Bailey at Starr Pet Resort while I was on an extended 17 days vacation. She had never been in a kennel before and suffers from anxiety. Jim and Sandy are amazing! They took such good care of Bailey. They don’t just cover the basics when caring for your pet, they go to great lengths to understand your pet so your pet will have the best possible experience. Thank you so much Jim for making Bailey feel a part of your family! Rodney
Board at Your Own Risk. No Liabilities, No Insurance and the Owner May Have You Arrested. On June 17, 2017, the next to last day of boarding my Belgian Malinois puppy, Starr Pet Resort left a message on a phone number that I specifically had told them not to use informing me that my dog’s leg had been injured. I was able to retrieve the message and come back a day early to pick my dog up at the hospital where she had been left. I was told that depending on treatment, the bill would be between $2,000 and $4,000. Jim Brock, owner of Starr Pet Resort, initially refused to pay any portion of the bill saying it was just an accident, although he had only given vague, conflicting explanations as to what happened. He also threatened both my girlfriend and I that this was a criminal matter and he was reporting it to the sheriff to have me arrested if I did not pay for his week of boarding immediately by providing him with my credit card information. He also refused to release my dog’s collar, tags and leash left at Starr Pet Resort. Jim had presented me with a contract for signature when I dropped of my dog on June 9, 2017. He stated that it was an “authorization to get medical care if needed”. In reality it was a liability waiver which states that Starr Pet Resort is not liable for anything that happens to your pet, and if they are found liable, it is only for a maximum of $500, or the value of the pet, whichever is LESS. None of these waivers are mentioned on the company’s website, nor was I advised of them prior to drop off even though I had visited the kennel in person and made a reservation over a month before boarding. I made at least five written requests for information regarding the injury. These requests included video records as they advertise they have 24 hour surveillance, a written statement from the person with my dog when the injury occurred and the name of their insurance provider. These requests were all ignored. I did receive an offer for a maximum of $2,000 from Starr Pet Resort on June 20, 2017. The offer may, or may not have covered my dog’s medical bills, but I did not know as it was very early in her treatment. The offer included a condition that I never say anything that they considered false or defamatory or pay damages in the amount of $5,000 for each violation. They broke my dog’s leg and then threatened to have me arrested. I could not agree to these terms. Despite several written requests, I never heard from Starr Pet Resorts after June 20, 2017, until I saw them in Small Claims’ Court on September 11, 2017. The only additional evidence they brought was a note from the girl who was playing with my dog when the supposed accident occurred. It was dated almost three months after the incident even though I had requested this back in June. It also turns out that their insurance does not cover pets. They are a kennel. What does their insurance cover?
These folks kept my best friend safe, active and happy during a two week business trip. The kennel facility is exceptionally clean. A pleasant surprise was the fact that it is climate controlled. Most importantly though; Jim and Sandy are dog people. They very clearly care about their guests and take care of their guests. Strongly recommended Update six months later: Sudden business trip abroad for four weeks: Same great facility. Same great service. Same great people.
We have been staying with Starr Pet for 2+ years and we love them so much! My Frenchie Ernestine loves it from the moment she arrives to see Uncle Jim and Sandi to her private nature walks (an optional add on she loves). The team is very attentive to Ernie, great at communicating updates and sharing pics. They are very professional, organized and treat Ernestine like family. I highly recommend Starr Pet and their amazing family/team. Thanks for taking such great care of Ernestine.
We left our 2 fur babies here when we went out of state for a graduation. They were there roughly 6 days and they had a blast! I got photos texted to me daily and some cool videos. It was comforting knowing our babies were so well taken care of. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to board your four legged kids. Thank you Starr Pet Resort!
Our cat loves staying at Starr Pet Resort when we are away from home. Jim and Sandy take very good care of her when she stays with them. Her room at the pet resort is always clean and comfortable. The whole cat area of the resort is immaculate and the pet owners are welcome to come in and see where their pet is staying as well as see the entire cat area. Both Jim and Sandy are well aware of each animal's condition throughout their stay and monitor each pet often. They treat each pet as an individual and get to know their personalities. We recommend Starr Pet Resort for pet owners whenever their pet needs to stay away from home. We feel confident that any issues that arise during our absence will be addressed and our pet will be safe and well taken care of.
I have a rescue dog who is anxious around new people and other animals. He was nervous at drop off, but in such high spirits after leaving Starr pet resort. They made him comfortable and he had a good time. Very reasonable price, and I really appreciated the one on one attention he received. Thank you Sandi & Jim
Our two English Bulldogs Love coming to Starr Pet Resort its always a treat for them. We started bringing both of our bulldogs when they were small puppies and they visit now on a monthly basis. El Guapo our largest Bulldog 3 years cannot wait to get out of the car to stay at the resort and now our newest addition bulldog puppy 6 months also loves coming to the resort. The facility is extremely clean and welcoming. Jim, Sandy and the staff are great and we wouldn't take our two Bulldog family members anywhere else, Thanks Starr Pet Resort!
We regularly take our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to the Starr Pet Resort. They love going there and are always happy to see the resort owners on arrival. The owners, Jim and Sandi, know the dogs by name, greet them warmly and take very good care of them. We recommend Starr Pet Resort very highly. Cheryl and John
Starr was wonderful with our dog Penny. We dropped her off with them for the first time we'd left overnight, and it was completely seamless. They sent over few photos during her stay to make sure we knew she was having a great time. We had a great experience; we'll be bringing Penny back to Starr in a couple weeks
