Experienced dog owners looking to meet new furry friends
After getting let down at the 11th hour by a confirmed sitter, I reached out to Ian and Tracey who had saved my sit previously to see if they could help. Tracey responded very quickly and following a call the next day, we were able to confirm that she would do the sit alone. Tracey was extremely organised and communicative throughout and arrived first thing in the morning to ensure that the cats were not on their own for too long. She sent regular updates about the cats and the fact that they were more focused on getting in the garden when we returned home rather than having a fuss was a sign that they were very relaxed. We arrived back to a spotless house and milk in the fridge for a cup of tea after our journey. Unfortunately we did not get to meet Tracey on this occasion however I hope in the future that she and Ian can be tempted to sit for us again. I have no hesitation in recommending Tracey to look after your home and pets.

10/10! A very pleasant, friendly and trustworthy couple. Lynne and David spent the evening with us before we went away and we thought they were such lovely people, and felt very confident leaving our pets and house in their care. They were able to put the guinea pigs out daily, the hutch got a good clean out too. My cat was very comfortably sitting with Lynne within minutes of their arrival. I can’t even begin to say how happy we were with their house sitting and we’ll definitely be asking them again in the future.

We were so pleased we chose James & India for our first housesit. They are lovely people who are genuine animal lovers and we felt totally comfortable leaving our 2 nervous dogs with them. We received plenty of updates during our holiday and we could see the dogs were happy and being well looked after. We found James & India really easy going and super enthusiastic, it felt like we'd known them for years! We wouldn't hesitate to have them back.

Francesca and Jonathan were fantastic! Given their proximity they came to visit us and the cats before we went away to ensure the cats were comfortable around them. This allowed us an opportunity to walk them through the house and routine which amazing and a first for us. The house was immaculate when we returned home and the cats were so relaxed. We were also blessed with a lovely little gift from Francesca and Jonathan which was so generous. 10/10 sitters - we highly recommend.

This was our first time using a pet or house sitter and the bar set by Leslie is very high! She is warm, friendly, communicative, responsible and very clean. Upon arriving, she immediately bonded with our rat terrier, Oreo, by bringing him a new frisbee (his favorite toy/activity) and throwing it for him in our backyard. Leslie has a sweet and mellow dog, Benny, who is now Oreo's new buddy! She kept my husband and I updated via texts/pictures of their daily activities, our house, and was proactive in asking questions before she left. She even dropped our dog off at the kennel for one night at the end of our trip since our flight was too late for us to get home for him! Our home was clean and had fresh flowers from our garden that she put in vases for us! Such a simple and nice touch! We have asked Leslie to come back to sit for us again for 2 weeks in August. I'd highly recommend her to take care of your pet(s) and home too!

Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. Carolina was a fantastic Pet sitter. From the beginning, it was straightforward to communicate with her. She met us before we left our trip and ensured she understood all the house and pet logistics. Luna and Cal were very comfortable with her and were best friends with her fast. She was very affectionate with them, and Luna and Cal loved her and were very happy with her. Carolina was very responsive and sent updates. She was really lovely and easy to communicate with. She was very respectful of our space and very tidy. She even washed the sheets and towels she used even when she didn’t need to. She put a lot of care into caring for Luna and Cal, and they looked very comfortable with her. Having Carolina as a pet sitter made our trip very easy, knowing our pets were cared for so well. We would love to have her back to sit for us again and highly recommend her.

Andrea was the perfect sitter for our older Italian Greyhound and our shy cat. She followed every request to a “t”, and helped us to feel comfortable and care free for a long zeewoi. The communication of photos and videos were a warm reminder of how well they had been adjusting to our absence. Andrea showed care and consistent compassion for Darcy and Hammy. She seemed to enjoy them and our home as much as us! We returned to an absolutely spotless home, without anything left undone. She thought of everything related to us and our pets, so we could have a seamless late evening return. We highly recommend Andrea for any zeewoi, as she is a jewel. Anyone looking for a “perfect” sitter would be lucky to have Andrea as a trustworthy, considerate and kind person to care for their pets and home.

5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Janis is a wonderful person and also an incredible sitter -- we were very, very fortunate that she agreed to care for our beloved pets and rural log home for 3 days. We were confident that everything would be perfect – and it was. We returned to a home as clean and ordered as we had left it, inside and out. All plants were thriving; outdoor hanging baskets were blooming profusely. Most importantly, our beloved dog and 4 cherished cats had obviously been lovingly and attentively cared for. The koi were also active and happy. Janis is a “cat whisperer”. She is especially skilled and patient with shy felines, so we truly appreciated her patience and caring for our sweet Angie (with a semi-feral background). Janis immediately understood that Angie, despite her reclusiveness, craves affection and was able to start to earn her trust even with such limited time. Among Janis’ many gifts: she is a talented photographer and delighted us with frequent updates and photos of our furry children. They are so beautiful that we, with her kind permission, plan to include several in our zeewoi profile. Janis’ communications, reliability, self-sufficiency, and punctuality were exemplary, start to finish. We made a wonderful new friend and have already invited her back to sit again. Jerry and Suzanne were absolutely ideal sitters for our home and pets. We spoke with them ahead of their visit and could tell that they are genuine pet and travel lovers. My dogs have stayed overnight on some occasions and it is so reassuring to know they are being cared for by Julie in her caring home environment.
Julie has looked after our Labrador since she was 12 Weeks old, taking great care of her 3 days a week whilst we were working, now retired our Lab still stays with Julie on odd occasions. We would not put her anywhere else, as Julie treats her like a family member. Our Lab has stayed with Julie whilst we were working and when we have travelled abroad, being with other dogs in her home, has I believe greatly improved her socially with other dogs.
Have been using Dogs Vacation for a number of years now for long stays & shorts stays. Our two Labs love Julie & her place. As soon as we pull up in the drive way they know where they are & cant wait to see her and all the other dogs that Julie looks after. While we are away Julie keeps in contact & sends us whats app pictures & videos of our two labs having fun or just sleeping after a busy day. Millie loves her trips on the party bus each week with Mark and Lucy (except when it’s torrential rain, when she pulls a face about going out at all). They are very understanding about her likes and dislikes (a long list), and we trust them to keep her safe and give her a lovely pack walk.

Since recently moving to the area Lucy & Mark have been absolutely amazing in taking care of my boy. My rehomed terrier Milly spends a day each week with Mark and the team at Petpals, and she very obviously loves it. She's delivered home in the evening a tired and happy pup. It's so good for Milly to socialise and play with the other dogs, and her weekly days out have really helped her settle in to her new life. Very happy to recommend!
