Sharon and John were amazing!! They took wonderful care of Marco and Cleo. After their sit, Marco kept looking around for them; I’m sure to get an extra snuggle. Cleo usually spends our time away hiding under our bed, but they were able to coax her out, which is a major accomplishment. I enjoyed having some time to sit and visit listening to all the places they had traveled. If you had six stars for a rating, they would get every one of them!

Jolene is a fantastic sitter! She followed directions perfectly, which helped Finnley transition with little stress. Jolene was our first sitter on this site and we are very impressed with the quality of care that she dotted on our pup. She is able to handle a rather dominant dog with ease. It was very easy communicating with her and letting us know how Finnley is doing while we were away. I was also impressed with how self-sufficient she is. She did not need help getting around and is a very travel savy. I would recommend her for sure!

Barbara and Gary were great host. They left our home cleaner then we arrived and had to deal with an escaped chicken and a sick chicken the night before we returned. They gave us updates on the cats and chickens with photos when we asked and we would welcome them back.

I loved having Lauryn stay with me. Initially I wondered if she might be too young (!) but having a daughter of her age who is also highly competent made me really want to give Lauryn the opportunity. She is clearly someone who is very capable, confident in getting around (continents!), finding out how things work, ensuring she feels equipped to stay alone with the pets, and much more. On top of all of this, she is sociable, caring, emotionally attuned, energetic, organised, reliable, FUN!, quirky in a marvellously attractive way, and much more. I am increasingly wary of people flying here and there to do pet sits, and having expressed to Lauryn that I didn't "just" want her to fly from the US to be in France for a week, she coordinated an extensive trip, visiting other friends and colleagues, using trains where possible, in order to maximise the flights she did take. I really appreciate this attention to climate-related issues. My dog is elderly now, and going deaf, and she still managed to get him out for almost daily walks, when most other people fail to get him to budge. Clearly she coaxed him in all the right ways. Her attention to both cat and dog was just lovely. Bottom line - she's an absolute treat, and I highly recommend her.

We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!

Andrea was the perfect sitter for our older Italian Greyhound and our shy cat. She followed every request to a “t”, and helped us to feel comfortable and care free for a long zeewoi. The communication of photos and videos were a warm reminder of how well they had been adjusting to our absence. Andrea showed care and consistent compassion for Darcy and Hammy. She seemed to enjoy them and our home as much as us! We returned to an absolutely spotless home, without anything left undone. Melissa did an AWESOME job with our 4 pets! Her personal style and communication via text, video, and pics were stellar and super comforting while we were out of town for 2 weeks. She showed up before the sit to go over instructions for the pet care and was even here when we returned (before she left for her next engagement). You would never know this was her first TH sit. She quickly earned our trust, asked for clarification when needed, and overall is just a GREAT PERSON!! Her kindness showed through in the care of each and every one of our furry babies. She will be a great sitter for others and is looking to travel across and see more of the US while remote working. We have adopted her into our family and she is welcome in our home anytime. We were so happy to have Kyle as our house sitter for two weeks. Besides taking great care of our pets and our house, he was very accommodating. We were always able to get in touch with him if we needed to, and he agreed to take on some extra plant watering’s when the weather made a sudden change.
