Excellent - Highly Recommend! We recently had the pleasure of having Abeela take care of our home and Toby the Cat while we were away, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the very start, communication was clear, prompt, and reassuring. Abeela took the time to understand Toby’s routines and habits, which gave us great peace of mind. During our time away, she provided regular updates and photos/videos of Toby, which was incredibly fun. It was clear that he was well-loved and in great hands. When we returned home, we found everything in perfect order—clean, tidy, and even better than we had left it. Toby was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Abeela went above and beyond, taking care of every detail. It’s evident that she takes pride in her housesitting and genuinely cares about the well-being of the pets and homes she looks after. We highly recommend Abeela to anyone in need of a reliable, trustworthy, and caring house sitter. We hope she will return again in the future! Lori and Jim

Animal lover, house attender, world traveler
Val is one of our favorite kitty and house sitters and we are always excited to have her back. She is proactive about finding out what works best for us communication wise before we leave (what medium/platform, how often we’d prefer a checkin, etc). She also asks any clarifying questions about the house or cats and proactively tackles any issues she sees (for example, helping to give some outdoor plants some extra hydration amidst a heat wave or changing batteries in a dying CO2 monitor). Most importantly we always come back to kitties that are so zen because they’ve had a great attentive companion. Val has also shown extra care to our fam with info and recommendations from her own experience following a diagnosis we got for one of our cats. Thank you again Val!

I’ve put Donah in my favorites list. She is reliable, self-sufficient, has her own personal items, and my pets love her! Definitely recommend Donah.

Caring, reliable and enthusiastic house sitter!
Rosalyn took great care of my home and 3 cats while I was away. She is a very sweet person, and obviously loves animals. Rosalyn sent me updates and. photos of my cats looking very happy, which I appreciated very much. I came home to a clean tidy house and happy cats!

Scottish import, professional & highly experienced caregiver.
Debs was so gracious when we made multiple changes to our sit plans at the last minute. She was flexible when we delayed our departure date and was enthusiastic about adding caring for our new rescue pup to her responsibilities. She came for a meet and greet a few weeks before the sit and showed up early on the first day to ensure the dog was comfortable. We appreciate having a wonderful local sitter and would love to have Debs stay at our house and care for our pets again.

Frank and Danielle were the perfect housesitters! They left our place very clean and we returned to homemade lentil soup, which was a lifesaver when you get home starving with nothing in the fridge. They sent me little updates daily (as asked) and our cat seems to warm up to them well. Would definitely have them back!!

Lani is an excellent Pet Sitter and housesitter. Communication was easy, our pet Cleo appreciated her loving care. We came home to a relaxed and happy cat. I would happily ask Lani to housesit again.
We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Again we feel lucky to have found her, and feel she would be a great sitter for any pets!
Tom provided a last minute sit when my 2 week long trip got extended to the 3rd. The previous zeewoi sitter was no longer available for the 3rd week, and Tom came in as a savior. As requested, he started his sit a day prior to the posted dates (thank you for being flexible). He met the prior zeewoi in person, since I was not in town, and got to know the house and cats quickly. He sent pictures of the cats each day and added a note about their well being. He was independent and was able to figure out how to use the litter genie on his own. I returned to a clean home and healthy happy cats. Would love to have Tom return and recommend him to anyone leaving their pets in his care.
Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. We would absolutely recommend them as responsible and thoughtful pet sitters who can be entrusted with the care of your home and pets.
Great pet care. The house was clean and tidy. The sitters had great communication. Would recommend again!
Erin was a great pet sitter who took such good care of little Chino. She was very reliable, kept us up to date with videos/pictures, looked after our home and kept it neat and tidy. She even left a thoughtful gift upon our return and was flexible with our travel plans. We would definitely recommend Erin for anyone looking for a reliable and friendly pet sitter!
Anna and Alan were absolutely brilliant. This was my first time using a sitter for our pup and from the start Anna was reassuring and put me at complete ease. They sent regular pictures while we were away and were incredibly easy to communicate with. I'd highly recommend Anna and Alan for any pet sitting needs. Robyn
We've had many pet sitters over the years (this is our first time using this app) and Missy is the best sitter we've ever had for our dog and cats. Our pets, particularly our dog, adored her and was really sad to see her go. It is obvious she loves animals and immediately understood the pack dynamics and the pet personalities. She kept the house tidy, litter box clean, and the animals so well loved. Because she was traveling from far away, she stayed with us the night before our trip and the night we came back. It was a pleasure to get to know her. We would welcome her back to our house as a friend or a sitter anytime. Highly recommend!
Farhan is a fantastic house sitter! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a down-to-earth, kind, and caring pet sitter for their home. We have three small dogs (around 6 lbs) and he took excellent care of them. They can be a little nervous/ timid around new people, and more so around men at times, but the dogs didn't show any of that nervousness around Farhan! He was gentle and respectful of their space and they warmed up to him immediately. I got a wonderful text the first morning that I was away that they cuddled up with him at night - showing how quickly they adjusted to him as their caretaker. I was able to meet Farhan in person before I left on my trip and I was able to have a wonderful conversation with an ambitious explorer. He is a delightful person. Upon my homecoming the house was very clean and the dogs were happy and relaxed. I can't ask for anything more! Thank you Farhan for taking such wonderful care of our three dogs and our home.
For our first experience with a house sitter, Jim and Julie have set the bar high. We felt totally confident that any issues would be dealt with, fortunately there were none. They were outstanding house and pet sitters whom we would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. They took exceptional care of our house full of pets from 2 large dogs, 3 cats, snake, gecko, fish tank and a koi pond. They provided updates daily, were very easy to communicate with and the house was just as clean as when we left it, with the addition of a nice welcome home gift. We knew our pets were in good hands. Thank you for everything. Melissa and Kyle

Susie's is absolutely amazing! Our Kono loves it there! Everyone there is so sweet and take such wonderful care of our little princess. Drop off and pick up is easy and smooth. She was excited to see us but didn't want to leave either! I highly recommend Susie's I'd give a 10 if I could!
I'd never boarded my dogs before. I always had house sitters. I tried Susie's and I was pleased. My dogs seemed happy when I picked them up and didn't smell. When I took them back the second time they seemed happy to be there, so obviously no hard feelings from before. The folks were easy to work with and the check in, check out process was smooth. Nice job folks!
I was helping friends while they were on vacation in Greece. I had to pick up and drop off Barnum, their dog, several times. The staff that work here are so wonderful. You can tell right away how much they love all the pets. I would definitely recommend Susie's and if I had a pet I would not take it anywhere else. You guys are the best.
If I were a dog, I would want my owner to board me at Susie's. Joking aside, I've used Susie's to look after my 3 dogs many times over the last couple of years and have had a consistently excellent experience. I have no doubt how much the people who work there love animals, it shows, and it gives me total peace of mind leaving my boys with them. Additionally, they are wonderful people, kind and helpful. I cannot recommend them enough.
Greatest place and group of folks in the world. If you want a great safe place for your pet to stay at look no further! Absolutely love this place. Suzie, Bobby and Sarah are awesome!
This is the only boarding facility where I wasn’t worried about the well-being of my 3 pups while I was away. Adorable and thought setup. Friendly owner. Extra clean facility. Fair prices. The only kennel we’ll use in Vancouver. Make sure you book early- they are popular and space is hard to come by!
Love Susie's. The dogs are always pleased to go and they seem to take good care of them.
This place deserves all of the awards it can get. And so do the people. I’ll never take my dog anywhere else. Susie’s Country Inn is amazing.
I NEVER leave my dog! However I had to board him for several days & I'm so fortunate a friend told me about Susie's. Welcoming, clean, wonderful staff, excellent care of my baby and reasonably priced. Years ago I had a bad experience leaving my dog so I am very critical of any facility. Susie's ticks all the boxes. You can safely entrust your fur baby to their care.
Susie is a fantastic trainer and she runs an excellent, clean facility that cares about you and your dogs. We have had to leave town fairly frequently and Susie has been dependable, her staff is friendly, the drop-off process is thoughtful and clear. I can't say enough about the facility itself; it has a great vibe. It's welcoming and professional. I know my pets are safe. We feel so very fortunate to have Susie and her team to care for our pets when life takes us out of town. Would recommend, thank you.
Man's Best Friend was recommend to us because we were struggling with our 18 month old English Mastiff who is a 120lb puppy, nicknamed Monster. I was reluctant due to the cost and missing our pup for the 30 days during the training. After picking him up I realized that we should have done it sooner. Shannon is great to work with, and she really loves what she does. Her communication through his training was excellent. I highly recommend.
Man's Best Friend is an amazing organization. I would recommend them to anyone with a dog, even if they are already well behaved. The way my dog Rowan has calmed down with the training is wonderful, I get to watch him make decisions and I love seeing his brain calm down. Rowan was already my emotional support dog, but we needed him to be very well trained for when my husband comes home with his service dog. The staff kept us up to date several times a week with pictures on their Facebook page, and Shannon also called to update us. With the training package we chose, Man's Best Friend provided us with their Top Dog Academy online videos. We have lifetime access and we watched them several times at our own pace, we also watched the videos with our kids so they were fully aware of the expectations and new rules with our dog. The 3 hour training session with Shannon was so informative, Shannon clearly loves dogs and is very passionate about her business. She was patient with me, explained things clearly, answered all my questions, and really made me feel like I CAN be the leader my Rowan needs me to be. I know in my heart that Man's Best Friend will be there for us for the life of my Rowan. This training is worth every single penny and I am so grateful that I can trust myself and my Rowan to be a part of every aspect of my life. Thank you Shannon & everyone at Man's Best Friend! We LOVE you!
I can say, first hand, that Shannon and her amazing staff are well equipped, ready, willing, and confident, when it comes to training your dog. I spent 5 weeks in Service Dog Handler School, taught by the non-profit portion of the business North West Battle Buddies. And, in that time I was fortunate enough to "see how the sausage was made." They answered all of the teams questions knowledgeably, confidently, quickly, and consistently, which told me they knew what they were doing. I know this is just some random review... from some random veteran, but they will impress you. I've seen it. And, they're really good. The best, actually. Can't praise them enough. Team 248
My family and I fostered one of the Northwest Battle Buddy puppies for year. We found the entire process to be rewarding, and we are so proud to see the dog that we love move onto his big, exciting purpose in life. Over the year we had some training on-site at Man’s Best Friend and we now have been able to train our dog to be a more respectful, kind, and calmer part of the family. We boarded the foster puppy several times and he was always so excited when getting dropped off and he was returned extra clean and smelling good. Thank you for the great experience and all that Man’s Best Friend and Northwest Battle Buddies do!!!
We had two dogs trained there. One is was an anxious mess and causing the other one anxiety. By having them both trained we are on the same page and we now know what we do as humans to enhance or encourage the anxiety in our little chihuahua. Shannon has been the best thing to happen to them a bad us. We now understand how to communicate with our dogs effectively and support them there way a pack works support them.
Our "Monster" (as we affectionately call him) went to Shannon with some bad behaviors and the ability to use his size, being a mastiff, to get his way. After a month of being at Man's Best Friend, he came back an entirely different dog. Shannon is very hands on, explains how to continue the training very clearly and intently, and she clearly loves her job and her furry cients. Had I known how amazing his transformation was going to be, I would never have waited or hesitated to get him into professional training. The added bonus of being able to return for a lifetime for a private lesson/refresher if we mess up any of her hard work gives me some peace of mind and further speaks to the level of confidence and dedication they have to your pups needs.
We brought our 4.5-month old Belgian Malinois to Shannon at Man’s Best Friend. He started the program as a little monster and came back to us as a fantastic beast!! Definitely recommended if you’re looking for your pup to actually listen to you… and especially to respect you!! It’s a thing… After his training we are able to be a very happy family!!
We frequently board our dogs at MBF and always feel like they're getting the best care. The staff are knowledgeable, kind, and quick to answer any questions you may have. They ensure the pets are vaccinated prior to boarding and always ask about whether your dog is ok with a kennel buddy. Our dogs come home healthy, happy, and tired.
Taking our Golden Retreiver Killian to Shannon for training at Mans Best Friend was the best decision we could have made. Killian was only three months old before all the regular training techniques we knew had failed. We had successfully trained a lab and two golden retrievers using Guide Dog for the Blind's method (Collar corrections and positive praise). By two and a half months old he grew aggressive with corrections and defiant and would snap and nip (leaving bruises and scratches) and tear clothing. When that failed we tried treats and that only created a dependency on treats and then he got aggressive when he didn't get a treat when he believed he should. His play time was more like parkour through the house which never stopped unless he was in his kennel. He had a hard time relaxing and just chewing on a toy. Outside he ate everything to the point he couldn't be off leash. Recall was also impossible. At four months, we faced re-homing Killian or finding a solution because his behavior was defiant and we didn't have a way to correct any of it. (We swore Killian thought he was a fight dog.) I couldn't even pet or hug him without him biting me. In steps Shannon. Thank the lord because she saved us all. We left Killian with Shannon for a month at boarding school when he was four and a half months old. We were nervous to leave him given we werent sure any training would work, and Killian has extreme food allergies to top off the stress level. But they did great with him. They stuck to his strict diet and trained him without need of treats. He even came back healthier than when we handed him off because we'd only just gotten his dietary needs pinpointed and his fur was still growing back. So yeah, I was blowing up all the pictures they posted on FB while he was there to see how well he was doing health wise. Haha. Day one home with Killian after training was amazing and we are now three weeks in and its all going great. Here are the changes: Killian no longer bites, tears our clothes, eats our furniture, jumps on the furniture, takes things that arent his, jumps on me, or eats the outdoors Killian will walk on leash without pulling, lay down for more than an hour on command and stay, chew on his toys like a normal well behaved dog, lay on his dog bed, play outside with toys (instead of eating grass, leaves, sticks ect.), come on recall, let us hug and love him and he also now knows how to JUST BE. Shannon provided training videos for us to watch before we picked up Killian (which we will always have access to) and she did a 3 hour training session with us when we picked him up. The combination together makes her training program highly effective because it taught us a new way of working with a busy minded dog. Shannon gave us a new way of life that is calm and loving with Killian that wasn't possible through other normal training methods. We are sticking to the training she provided and its working out great. She even did a follow-up session, which was extremely helpful because we could get guidance on how we can do better with our dog handling skills. If you even debate sending your pup to Man's Best Friend for training, I advice stop wasting time and make the call.
Shanon and Man’s Best Friend are a wonderful organization. They have trained two of our dogs now and both are better for it. Our younger dog a was a real handful and we were worried about how it would effect our older dog and overall family dynamics. After training, he has kept his silly personality but is now a respectful part of the family. I would recommend this to anyone looking for training for their dog. I love the Christian values of this organization and how much education you and your dog both receive by the end of it. We now know how to effectively communicate with our dogs and have a lifetime access to knowledge and help from Shanon should we need it. Man’s Best Friend was exactly what we needed.
Most of the employees are nice and love my dog but the manager is extremely rude.Several times the staff gave us various times for drop off and, after calling to make sure, an employee said I had a window in which to drop off my dog. Upon arrival the next day the manager told me "this was not what was communicated to you" - basically calling my husband and I liars, wouldn't take my dog for the day (because I was 13 minutes late, although within the window I was given the previous day), and said she was doing us a favor by "accommodating" our dog.I acknowledged that I had missed the cut-off time, and understood she couldn't accept him that day, but disagreed with her about what had "been communicated to me." If she and her staff had made it clear that I must arrive by 10 am, then obviously I would have done so and not at 10:13.I am not unreasonable nor am I stupid.I can tell time and I don't expect special treatment.I said I'd like to talk to the owner and asked for their name, so I would know who I would be talking to, and she said she was "unable to disclose that information."And then she said she was finished arguing with me and walked away.Who treats customers like that? The owner of the business is a secret? We spend thousand of dollars a year here in day care and boarding.I deserve to be treated respectfully, have my questions answered and receive clear, consistent communication.I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and do do not recommend this place, solely on the consistently appalling treatment we, as paying customers, have received from this manager.I will not be so indiscreet as to name her but the owners need to know she is driving customers away.
We have nothing but praise for Mountain View Play and Stay. We use them both for boarding and daycare/socialization. The staff members go above and beyond to help our (sometimes quite nervous) dog have good experiences. The regular, controlled socialization has made a very positive difference in our dog's demeanor and sense of well-being around other dogs. We also appreciate the thorough screening procedure, the attention to detail regarding health records, and the friendliness of the staff towards us humans us well. 5-star for sure!
My dog loved his stay - they sent pictures of him on the second or third day showing him playing outside. His tail was up and he was racing around. So glad we found a new home away from home for our beloved little chihwienie.
My little miss marigold loves her daycare days here. I also appreciate the occasional pictures they take since they don't have live cams to watch your pup playing.
Staff is very kind and interested in the comfortability of your dog. Prices are very competitive for their boarding service and it's veterinarian owned. If anything is to happen the vet clinic is right next door! Will never be using Rover again.
These folks are one of a kind! If you want a safe, fun, loving and comfortable home away from home for your puppies this is where they belong. All the staff were so pleasant to work with, reasonable, and particularly accommodating to all our pups needs. We had an extended boarding need due to the emergency situation at our home. We were temporarily displaced as a result and it was stressful for everyone except for our dogs thanks to Mountain View. Savannah and Autumn were particularly amazing members of the staff! Olive and Smokey forever love you guys!
Love, love, love this place! Pam and her staff are wonderful, patient, kind and loving with our dog, Mac. He gets so excited that his whole body shakes when we ask him if he wants to go see "friends". He knows that means going to Mountain View Play and Stay for a day of fun or for boarding. The staff works hard to assess each dog's personality and compatibility to ensure that all the dogs have constructive and positive interactions with the other dogs. We also appreciate that they have been keenly observant and have pointed out some minor health issues with our dog that may have gone unnoticed by us. We really can't say enough good things about this place. My husband and I highly recommend them.
I have been taking my dog to Mt. View Play and Stay since he was 4 months and he is now 2 years old. The staff take an keen interest in the dogs and how they interact with each other. I can just call the same day and ask if there is room and they say “bring him in”. They have adapted well to the coronavirus and now come to the car to pick him up. Staff members are positive and definitely love dogs. My dog loves going to doggie daycare!!
Mt View has extremely compassionate, well trained people who happen to love dogs. My dog nearly jumps out the car window when we pull into the driveway. The staff are very transparent and excel at communication with the owner. They are fantastic!
This is what the dogs say Bark bark, sniffle scratch, bark wper turn circle and chase tails. Our dogs love the place and playing with their friends
Our beloved furry family, a sprightly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and an adorably quirky Pomeranian-Poodle mix, have truly found a second home at Montage Pet Lodge while we are travelling. From the moment we first entrusted our precious pups to the care of their staff, we've been continuously overwhelmed by the exceptional level of service, care, and love our dogs receive. The staff there aren't just employees – they're passionate pet lovers who go above and beyond to ensure that every dog feels like royalty. It's evident in the way they greet our dogs with such enthusiasm and genuine affection every time we drop them off. Despite our frequent and sometimes extended trips that necessitate long stays for our dogs, we've never once returned to pick up dogs that were anything less than joyful and healthy. Our Pomeranian, who admittedly has his moments of being a bit on the spicy side, receives nothing but patience and understanding from the staff. They're incredibly accommodating, always looking for creative solutions to ensure he feels comfortable and happy during his stay. Their approach speaks volumes about their dedication to their furry guests, focusing on the well-being and happiness of each individual pet. The communication from Montage Pet Lodge is great. Whenever we phone to check in on our little ones, we're greeted with friendly voices eager to assure us that our pups have been good Boys. The peace of mind we have while we're away is invaluable. Knowing that our dogs are not just being cared for but are truly enjoying their time makes our frequent trips guilt-free. Observing our dogs bounding into the lodge, tails wagging with unbridled excitement, further reinforces that Montage Pet Lodge is like Disneyland for them. We hope that Montage Pet Lodge will continue to welcome our dogs as clients for many years to come. In a world where genuine, compassionate care for pets is golden, Montage Pet Lodge shines the brightest. For anyone looking for a place where their pets will be cherished and treated like family this is a good option.
I have a dog aggressive dog (she is great with people, but unfortunately not other dogs), and this facility takes the best care of her. In 2023 I called around all dog boarding locations in the Portland and Vancouver area, and none would accept her or the few that did wanted $100+ / day. Every time I drop her off, they are so excited tonsee her and it makes me feel so good, and that shes in the right place. Anyone with an aggressive dog or reactive dog knows how important this is. Incredibly thankful to have found this place. You can trust your dog is safe here and loved.
Best place around for daycare or boarding. Our dogs love the people and get super excited when we drop them off. Highly recommend!
This was the first time boarding my babies. They go everywhere with me and my husband. I was nervous when we dropped them off. We picked up our babies after 5 days and everything was great! They feed the girls their special breakfast and dinner, daily walks and I paid for extra playtime for them. The staff was very friendly and great when we dropped off and picked up. I will definitely be using them again.
I cannot say enough good things about these wonderful people. This is the only place I will board my very nervous cattle dog. The facility is great, but more importantly the staff have always been amazing for my dog.
This is a great place! They treat my sweet dachshund Bandit very well and seem to be very loving towards him, he usually doesn’t like to be picked up by strangers but doesn’t mind the ladies here holding him, he gets the prince treatment every time and if it wasn’t for them we would have had to cancel our month long cruise in October, I give them a call every time we drop him off to check on him and they are always very nice on the phone I have lots of trust in them and I even found out there is a live in vet teach; gives me so much peace of mind. This is a great place for anyone who loves their pet. Truly an awesome staff!!!
I do not have any complaints about this kennel. My dogs are always happy to see me when I return. They appear to have been well taken care of. I really like that they kennel my 2 small dogs together and let my two large dogs play together. They don't allow customers in the dog kennel (a good thing!!!) So I can't say much more. My dogs do come back sick most of the time but that is fairly normal in a animal sheltering type of environment. I will definitely be using their services again.
Our dog loves his stays here! Friendly and helpful staff.
We’ve used Montage many times when we can’t take our pooch with us on trips. The staff are all super friendly and seem to really care about the well-being of your pet. The kennels are all clean and seem to be well maintained and the outside dog runs are in good order. I love that you can get extra play time for your dog beyond the regular amount of time they get; that’s a nice option. You can even have the staff take your dog for a walk around the property (we don’t as our guy isn’t the best walker, so we pay for extra dog run time). We’ve tried other places and Montage beats them all paws down. Five tail wags (or stars).
Ive never had an experience that made me uncomfortable having Luci there. Always really nice and she always has a big smile when i pick her up. Worth me driving from Portland for.
Denise is excellent with our pup, Kali. Kali is not great with strangers or new experiences, but Denise has done an excellent job exposing her to new activities, dogs, cats, and people in a controlled and safe manner. We recently had to board Kali here for over two weeks while we prepared our move, and got frequent photo and video updates which reassured us that we made the right choice in trusting Denise. I would highly recommend The Canine Junkie for boarding or daycare needs to anyone with a sub-20lbs pup!
Bo loves to spend the day running with her (similarly sized) pack at TCJ - Denise keeps them each and all safe. There are enrichment activities, long walks, rest times and the constant presence of pals to keep Bo interested and challenged. We all (Bo and her people) really respect and care for Denise - she takes her business seriously and is focused on the dogs all day. We also just really like Denise, she’s great! Both of us have mixed feelings about letting people know how great this day care is… don’t want them to get too, too busy!!!!
We are so thankful for Denise! She has taken care of our puppy for 8 days. Our puppy goes there weekly for a day of day care. Denise is very knowledgeable about dogs and has helped us out. While we are gone she sends us photos and videos. We are looking forward to her help in the future. She gives us good information about caring for our puppy, too.
Denise has been such a good caregiver for our 1year old Maltese, Ladybug. We are very grateful to have found her and we recommend her highly.
Our two Lhasas had a wonderful time with Denise. She gave them a lots of love and attention. They loved being outdoors and were so tired coming home after playing all day! It was a relief not to worry about them while we were gone on vacation. We are all looking forward to next time!
Denise is truly a blessing for my dog and my family. We have been able to count on her dozens of times to provide a second home for our dog and sleep well at night knowing that she is well taken care of. Every day after when we pick her up, we can sincerely tell that our dog has had a blast of a time. Denise will send videos to you as well of your dog having fun which is amazing. I highly recommend any dog owner to send their dog to Denise!
Denise is extremely reliable and professional with tons of experience. She is creative in providing mental "enrichment" on top of having enough space for everyone to run around and romp - thus creating a well rounded experience for the pups in her care. Her outstanding attention to everyone's comfort level and ability to quickly interpret canine body language allow even shy dogs to blossom!
Bodhi loves her visits at The Canine Junkie. Denise gives special care and attention to each dog and I can tell she really loves what she does.
Denise is great with Sam. I had to drop him off for the day. I know is day is full of caring and great enrichment that I am not able to do. I know when I pick him up his day has been filled with love. Denise always answers questions I have or little pointers to make Sam's life a little easier. You are the best Denise!
We've been bringing our pup here for the past two years. It's a perfect vacation for our pup when we go on vacations of our own. Piper gets excited every time she realizes where we're going. I can't imagine using anyone else to care for our fur baby.
My girl started off a timid rescue. Wet Noses has been amazing! They have really helped her to find her confidence with other dogs and people. They are great at communicating, sending emails when vaccines are due, info on the dog exhibiting sickness or other issues. My dogs looks forward to her days at Wet Noses, whining with excitement when we pull into the parking lot. I recommend them to everyone!
Wet Noses and Wagging Tails is awesome! I take my two dogs there every week and they always come back happy and tired. Staff is very friendly and flexible with drop off times. I love that they take photos of the dogs during the day too. I would recommend them for any dog owner! Thanks for taking care of these crazy dogs, Wet Noses and Wagging Tails!
We have been using wet Noses for multiple years, for both weekly daycare and boarding. The staff is amazing and truly care about your dogs. Both dogs are excited eveytime we pull up and exhausted when we pick them up. We have and will continue to recommend. They are AMAZING!!!!
This was Buddy’s first time going to doggy daycare so we were kinda nervous about how it might go. Buddy is a very high energy Aussie so we were concerned that he might be too much. Our concerns were for naught. Employees at Wet Noses & Wagging Tails are well experienced with high energy dogs and were actually excited to meet Buddy. Buddy had a great time and the best part was, he was totally exhausted! 😆
Our dog Cooper absolutely loves WNWT. He gets so excited he starts barking as soon as we turn onto the road leading to it. It is reassuring when your pet is so excited about being left at doggy daycare. He’s never responded that way to anywhere else we’ve ever taken him. He comes home tired and happy every time! Thank you WNWT staff for loving him and taking such good care of him!
We just started taking Sadie to daycare and boarding and she loves it. She is so excited to go for either the day or a sleepover. The staff is absolutely wonderful with dogs. I mean look at the grin Sadie has, that says it all. She’s one happy dog!
This review is long overdue. My spoiled princess has been going to Wet Noses for some time now and I sometimes think she may love them more than she loves me. Their love for everyone's babies is hard to miss, they treat each and every pet as of it was their very own. I'm so thankful to have found them to help me in caring for my Mina🌹! 🐾
Our dog, Maddie, has been attending doggie day care since she was a pup. We love the time she spends at WNWT knowing she is loved and is safe interacting with her buddies and the friendly staff.
The best thing that could have happened to us and for our pup Regal is finding Wet Noses & Wagging Tails! From day 1, the staff has been just awesome! Her 1st day of school at just 4 months old all the staff really took care to nurture her timid personality. Regal completely feels at home there now and all the staffers have been so kind watching her grow up. W just LOVE that she can stay in doors with her friends when wet and cold out or outside on nice dry days. It has helped her so much in learning to socialize and more importantly to get her very much needed exercise fix. She just loves it, can't wait to rush in to her pals and when the day is done strolls out nice and tuckered out from a long day's play. Thank you so much WN & WT!!
We were so nervous taking our (also nervous) dog to daycare and boarding for the first time. Our fears were quickly averted - they are helpful, friendly, and above all they love the dogs! I appreciated the extensive vet checklist and the fact that every dog goes through a temperament test before being admitted into the facility. It makes me feel like my dog is safe around all the other dogs. Love the photos and updates, couldn't be happier with the service.
This place is great! Our little one loves going here to play with all her friends. The staff is super friendly and provides a safe and comfortable environment for our dog to spend some quality time while we work. It's easy to get set up with appointments, and they are flexible when plans change. No problems to report so far 😀 …
Our dog, Judge loves it . The staff is very special . Tyra the manager is so nice and pleasant. All are very professional and dedicated to the dogs.
Excellent staff and facilities! My grand pup has visited both the East and west locations and is currently attending puppy kindergarten. She has learned so much and comes home content and exhausted. She loves going to school!
I'm always a little nervous when looking for a doggy day care for my pets. But the crew there were so kind and understanding it made it an easy choice. The facility is clean, I got to watch my dogs have fun all day with the workers and other dogs on the cameras. The report cards were a bit of fun and honestly a good show of how much they came to know my dogs in just one day and a sign that they really cared. My dogs came back tired but very obviously happy. Happy I went with them.
I've been taking my dog here for about a year and he just loves it! As soon as we get off the freeway and turn towards it, he starts bouncing around the backseat. Couldn't be more excited to go play! The staff is really nice and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and well maintained. I've never worried about his health or safety coming here, which is huge for a facility that cares for so many animals. They do a great job, wouldn't take him anywhere else.
Staff very friendly & easy to work with... However, I was disappointed with the lack of engagement during my dog's stay (assessment day). As the pet-owner, you have access to live cameras to watch your dog throughout the day which gives you a good an idea of what they do. I think the dogs are just there walking around in a room or outside for Inside/Outside Play (so called). I didn't see any interaction from the staff with the dogs (if so VERY little), no play, no toys.... Not good for my dog unfortunately. Maybe I had too high of expectations!
My little doggie had so much fun! She seemed relaxed and happy when she came home. I appreciated that the people running it seem to really care about the dogs and got to know them personally. The report card was very cute. We'll be back!
We hadn’t brought Bailey to your facility in a long time and she needed to be re-evaluated. The people there always treat the dogs with the utmost kindness and Bailey seemed relaxed and happy when we picked her up. We have used daycare and boarding here before and will continue to do so. We have not found any other daycare boarding facility that we liked in Clark or Cowlitz County, so we’re always willing to drive an hour to board her. Highly recommended! Thanks, Ross & PJ
Wonderful daycare and training! The report cards for every day my puppy, Bubs, is there, the report card how what he did, how he did, and videos of his training. This is so helpful to know in order to continue the same training at home. The yearbook, pictures, and frozen treats you have are great added bonuses!! A Dog's Best Friend, you are the Best!!
A Dog’s Best Friend is the best ever dog boarding, doggie day care, etc. These people are absolutely amazing in how they truly care about the (my) dogs! I am probably on my 12+ years - and my third dog - of going to ADBF. The staff is well educated and compassionate. Numerous times they have gone above and beyond the call for me and my dog(s). I simply cannot say enough about this facility, the Manager and the staff. Double thumbs up for ADBF!
This was my first boarding experience ever and I was thoroughly impressed with everything. Jeff was an absolute delight to talk to and work with and the facilities are absolutely beautiful! I was very nervous about boarding my baby and Jeff was so kind and helped me feel at ease with the whole process. He even sent me update pics! I could tell she was really enjoying her stay and even though she was definitely excited to see me when I picked her up I could tell she had such a good time here! Will 100% come back if I need to board her again!
I was really grateful that they were able to book me for Thanksgiving of all times within just a couple of (normally, you have to do that a couple months in advance at least), And the staff was extremely kind. The prices were reasonable, and they appeared to do everything they could to make sure that both my cat and dog were happy and comfortable the whole time. Neither my cat nor my dog were stressed out when I picked them up and brought them home, and that’s always a concern when you leave your pets anywhere, really. So thank you for everything this past week!
Waldorf Kennels really helped us out of a bind - a last minute Thanksgiving boarding for our two pups. Jeff, the owner, was great! Our dogs came home happy and I know that they were well taken care of!
My pup Kira has been going to Waldorf kennels for about 3 weeks and before her visits there, she could not walk on a leash. Not only Is she walking on a leash without trying to get away, she’s safely walking with my daughter. I cannot recommend Waldorf kennels enough. Jeff the owner really cares about each pup and takes his time to make you and yours fur baby feel loved and taken care of.
We cannot say thank you enough to Jeff and the Waldorf Kennels. We have a German Shepherd that is 1.5 yrs old (unaltered) and a Rhodesian Ridgeback who is 6 yrs old (altered). They spent 6 nights being boarded, with extra play time each day, and a 1:1 training session with Jeff for our Shepherd. When we returned from vacation, they were walking better on leash, and you could tell how well taken care of they were. Happy and tired. We had 1 additonal training session all together today as well. Jeff's obedience training, knowledge, and advice was above and beyond, anything we've been given before. Our dogs were so receptive to him, especially the Shepherd. Jeff is calm, confident, and is in control. We're looking forward to continuing the training he's given and immediately saw a huge improvement. Not to mention how beautiful the property is! Jeff, Ian and I are so grateful to have met you, and thank you tremendously for all of your help!
Our pups first experience staying at a boarding facility and we felt instantly at ease when we toured the place. I knew she would be well taken care of. I was so happy to receive updates and pictures from them, during her stay! She was a happy dog when we returned and I think she enjoyed her time on the agility course too. Thank you, Waldorf Kennels!
The only place we’ll board our dogs going forward! My wife and I went on an extended vacation and had to board our three dogs. Jeff and his staff set our minds at ease with their level of care for them. Jeff even went out of his way to send us updates!
Jeff and team are amazing! The only place in town we trust to take care of our German Shepherds. Most Kennels simply aren’t confident handling big dogs, but Jeff goes above and beyond to make sure our dogs are taken care of when they stay here. Highly recommend to anyone in the greater Vancouver area!
Having worked at Waldorf Kennels many years ago, I knew the services would be top notch. However, I also wasn't a dog owner back then. So nothing could have prepared me for how overprotective and nervous I was leaving our two pups for 10 days with expected inclement weather! Jeff put me and my husband at ease with a get-to-know-you visit a week before we left. He showed me the improvements that were made since I had last worked there, but more importantly, he took the time to walk both of my dogs individually and asked all of the questions that made me feel like he really would give them the best care. While we were away he sent photos of them in the fenced play area (I've included one with my review) and when we picked them up on the iciest day of the year, they were warm, happy, and healthy. We added baths for the day of pick-up, and the kennel staff made sure their coats were completely dry after bathing them since it was so chilly outside. Highly recommend this add-on! Quick profile: My dogs are Dogo Argentinos, the male is 100 lbs and the female is not far behind. They were just fixed at 19 months old and boarded at 20 months! They are highly active have a high prey drive, and they are incredibly loyal and protective. Some people are not used to working dogs with these traits, so they can be intimidated, which leads to our dogs getting labeled as aggressive. Jeff is familiar with all breeds and has a lot of experience with high performing training practices, so our dogs did very well during their stay. Overall, I highly recommend Waldorf Kennels and know you won't be disappointed choosing them the next time you need boarding.
My husband and I boarded our two dogs here for a week and will definitely be coming back! Jeff took great care of our babies, sending us pictures periodically to show us they were doing great thus giving us peace of mind 😊 …
