Marsha has taken care of our Mini Schnauzer Sebastian many times when we need to leave home for an extended period of time. Sebastian is always well taken care of. She makes notes as to when she takes him out and how often he uses the potty. I am very particular as to who I would leave my pets care to and I NEVER worry knowing Marsha will be there for Sebastian

We could not be more DISSAPOINTED in the services we received from Marcia Berger (South Paws In-Home Pet Sitter.) She did not follow the schedule we have and agreed upon for our dogs, she was only there at our home for the overnight hours and left my 80 year old mother-in-law to deal with the dogs all day. She told us of two times she would not be there, once when she would go out with her friends Friday night at Cigar Life Lounge for a couple hours which turned into her leaving at 6pm and coming back to the house after 11pm. The other time was church on Sunday, That day she was gone from 7:30am to 3:50pm, again leaving my mother-in-law to do the job she was being paid to do. Saturday she was gone from 9:45am till after 5pm. Her website talks about how she spends quality time with our pets. When questioned on it she said she was there all night and that was the quality time. The dogs also get calming medicine given once at night with their food, they received it for breakfast and dinner on Saturday. Everything was written in black and white and ignored. Additionally she chose to smoke a cigar on our enclosed Lanai without even the common courtesy to ask us if was ok, and we were left to pick up the ashes and tobacco pieces she left behind. (oh and yes tobacco is toxic to dogs.) We also cleaned up tobacco pieces from our master bathroom toilet area, which yes smells like she smoked in there too. Her response to this was I never smoked in the house only outside with the door closed. Again without respecting us enough to ask first. I guess she forgot or didn't realize we have outside cameras (yes they are out in the open.) We hired her to take care of our dogs, which are our children. She did not. she did as she wanted and ignored everything else. She left it to the 80 year old woman in poor health to do it.

Marcia was able to help us with walking our dog and checking in on granny twice a day. Luna loved her from the time she met her. She was prompt, arrived on time and was in contact with me while I was away. I would not hesitate to leave Luna with her or use her services again.

Marcia has taken care of my 2 dogs who are like my family, like they are her family! From the time we initially met to interview up until the time we got back from vacation, Marcia was professional and very good at keeping us informed about our pets. I have used her more than once, and she continues to provide loving care! I come home and my home is just the way I left it. I’m happy and so are my dogs.. Thank you for becoming a trusted caregiver and now a good friend.

After landing in Tampa on 9/24/23 at 11:45 p.m., we received a text message from Marcia saying that her employee had let our indoor cat out of the door and it was too dark for the employee (Marcia Simonds) to try to find her. According to the video clips from home, the employee had left our property at 5:16 p.m. in the bright sunlight. The employee has not contacted us to explain what happened and when we called Marcia, she blew us off with a story that her lost cat had returned after a night missing. She promised to call us the next day to see if our cat had returned. We are still awaiting that call. In our opinion, the lack of responsibility and accountability displayed by this company, the owner, and the employees is deplorable and unacceptable. We can't, in good faith, recommend this company to care for your pets adequately.

We have used South Paws twice now, both times for about one week a piece. We have 4 cats two dogs and a fish! She was amazing! All of my animals loved her, she came twice a day and also brought in our mail for us. I love how much she truly does care about the animals and their well being while you’re away. She sent me daily photos of everyone which made me feel so happy and when we returned everything and everyone was happy and perfect. I will forever use South Paws when having to leave my fur babies 🤍

Marcia is fabulous with my kitties! She is reliable and takes such good care of my fur babies! From feeding to doing the litter boxes, I know she is taking care of it! She even leaves me a message each day! I Highly recommend her! She is trustworthy and has my key!!! Love her and so do my kitties!!! ❤️😻 …

I'm so very happy with Marcia as my cat sitter. She's very professional, on time, good with instructions. Most importantly, I trust her with my cats and in my home. She sends me pictures of them while we're away and never hesitates to get in contact with us if she has a question. My fur balls seem to be happy with her too!

I have utilized South Paws In-Home Pet Sitter’s services on several occasions now, all of which have been wonderful experiences. Not only was Dr. Marcia very communicative when I was away, but she also assured me that my pet was safe, as she made sure to send pictures of my dog each day that she visited. My boy loves this place! Sharon, Abby and her staff! He loves the fur friends he plays with and enjoys his daycare sessions. The entire staff and owner are wonderful and very kind. I was very nervous about my boy being in daycare first couple weeks because he’s large breed and loves everyone (even those that don’t love him due to his intimidating size). But he fit right in and staff sent me pics of him which was so calming and reassuring. Love that little extra touch of comfort knowing your fur baby is safe and thriving in good hands while at work. It’s things like that which makes Classy Canine a notch above others. You can tell they love the dogs and what they do. This is exactly the type of small business I enjoy supporting . Clean establishment and very secure fenced yard for playing and individual private kennels in climate controlled environment to escape the summer heat. Thank you Classy Canine!

I took my dog Rocky for the 1st time to daycare this past Monday. He's a 2 yrs old Lab mix and is scare of his own shadow. He's never been to any other place besides his Vet and Pet Smart Grooming. I was so nervous and anxious for him, but as soon as we got there, Emily made us feel so welcome! She assured me he'll be fine and kept me updated throughout the day. She sure did! Even sent me pics, which warmed my heart. When we picked him up, I was able to meet the owner and she was a sweetheart as well. Two days later, I left him overnight for boarding and met Gaby one of the other workers and she was amazing as well. Rocky did great! Comments we received "Rocky is shy and super clean" lol I definitely recommend Classy Canines and look forward to our next daycare day and boarding days. Great facility and amazing staff and owner. Sharon groomed Ozzy, my Pomeranian, for his first time. Ozzy is all hair! She was very patient and listened to my requests . I highly recommend Classy Canines and will be using Sharon again.

We absolutely love Classy Canines! We were frequent day care goers in Arizona where there are doggy daycares EVERYWHERE and none of them feel as warm and welcoming as Classy Canines! For as long as we are in the Polk County area they will always have our support!!! The photo attached is one the owner sent me for their Halloween party.

I absolutely love taking my two dogs here for daycare, boarding, and grooming. Both of my dogs love to come here. My youngest pup scratches at the door until you open it for her. They both adore the entire staff. It is one of the few places that I can truly relax when I have to leave them overnight because of the level of care they get when they are there. Sharon and her staff are amazing. Both my girls come home tired after a long day of play.

I can not say enough wonderful things about these folks and services! Our 6 month old puppy loves joining the daycare group and looks so forward to when our car pulls up to their door. Sharon has guided us in so many great training tips. I can't imagine what it would have been like to bring our Harper into our lives without these great, knowledgeable and caring folks.

I love bringing my dogs here! They come back very happy and smelling good. They offer special treats you can buy for your pets while you are gone and to me it's those little added touches that make a difference. Would recommend to anyone

We took our 90lb German Shepard mix (very long hair) to Sharon at Classy Canines for a groom and cut. We were very satisfied with the results! She had our baby looking great! Her customer service is exceptional. We will definitely be returning and we highly recommend!

Groomed our Shih Tzu "Ruby" with a lion cut when Sharon was in Winter Haven and now again back in Lakeland. Have tried 4 others, but Sharon's the best.

Sue at Designer pet care is such a sweet heart-- she always take such good care of our beagle when we are out of town and we never worry about him while we are gone because we know he's being spoiled rotten. We only started using her less than a year ago, but have used her on at least 4 occasions already. She even finds sociable playmates for our beagle to romp around with which is nice since he rarely gets that at home. I can't imagine letting him stay with anyone else!

Gorgeous setting. Huge play yards, indoor air-conditioned/ heated kennels, with run outs. Wonderful caring staff and owners. And, they really mean "designer". These folks bend over backwards to accommodate yours and your pet's needs. Absolutely love this place!

It’s a nice homey environment, and the people there are very charismatic and seem to really have passion for taking care of animals.

Bo has been going to Designer Pet Care since he was a puppy. He always perks up when we get close to Sues place and is eager to go and see the other dogs.

Best Avian Doc in Central Florida. Love love love love this place! I’ve had birds all my life and have experienced sub-optimal avian vets throughout central Florida but Dr. Dickson is the most authentic and genuine exotic veterinarian I have come across. I have full trust in her expertise, knowledge, and ability to provide accurate care for my flock. She explains reasoning with full clarity and I have full confidence in her. In addition, every staff member in this facility is also equally as wonderful, caring, and kind.

The entire staff was amazing, knowledgeable, and helpful! They got me in quickly and helped me find an affordable solution for my cat when she was sick. The facility was clean and well run, and Dr. Donna took the time to answer all of my questions. I will be switching my dogs over to My Pets Animal Hospital from their other vet and recommending them to all my friends and family as well!

Dr Donna is very kind and thorough spending all the time needed explaining everything and answering all questions. She does well with Lincoln with him being anxious at the appointment. Love how I get a text checking in on him the next day and it is convenient to reach the office if needed.

The staff are absolutely amazing! They sent a sympathy card after my guinea pig passed away. Everyone wrote such sincere condolences. It was so thoughtful and considerate. It really meant a lot to me. Also, they always get me in to see the doctor when it was urgent.

My pets have been clients of My Pet's Animal Hospital for over 25 years. Best care you'll find. Many surgeries on multiple dogs of mine and have had the best outcome at lower cost than most Vets. 💘 …

On May 26th, Memorial Day Weekend we lost our beloved Cockatoo Angel unexpectedly. I would like to thank Dr Dickson and the entire staff for the lovely card you all sent. It meant a great deal to us. She impacted everyone she ever met with her kindness and made us laugh everyday we miss her so much. Thank you too for the care you gave her when we boarded her during our absence. We took a stray kitten into My Pets yesterday, that we were hoping to get healthy and keep as a pet. Unfortunately, the kitten had gone through way too much before we found her and was in the process of passing away before we got her in the door at My Pets. We received nothing but care, compassion, and patience from everyone we spoke to and encountered at My Pets as we tried to work through how to help the sweet baby we found. Even though the outcome wasn't what we hoped for our kitten, I felt that everyone we spoke to cared and made every effort possible to make us and our kitten as comfortable as possible. I am very appreciative to everyone we spoke to and encountered at My Pets yesterday & I gained so much trust in your staff and vets during this situation.

I feel bad for anyone who brings there animals here, everything is OVER priced staff is completely rude and childish. Cross contamination is huge thing there believe it or not. The staff are very under trained and under paid so expect the bare minimum this business is way to small for how the run things it’s honestly a very unprofessional place. The kennels girls are very uneducated and all around rude. All the techs think they know everything the surgical Materials are washed in a sink with Amazon dishsoap. That explains enough. Also they have 1 deep freezer where they keep your deceased pet so don’t bring your Great Dane to get put down here because they won’t have a place to put it.

We love Dr. Dickson, thanks to how much she truly cares our baby Buffito is still alive, not once it was about making $ or taking advantage of the situation, not only it’s hard enough to find good hearted vets like that, also to know and understand where their practice ends and where a referral is needed without compromising the life of our loved ones! We could never put into words how much we appreciate her, and all she has done for our Buffito! <3 We truly couldn’t have asked for a better Dr., so kind, and knowledgeable. A beautiful soul, you can see in her eyes the joy when she sees her patients recovering!! Emo also recovered from his tilted head with all the instructions and exercises we read about from the links provided, we heard about so many lost cases and lil improvements, if you look at him you’ll never knew he went through that horror that we still have no clue how it even happened but sure are grateful that he raised above it. Needless to say the whole staff is wonderful!! There’s not a moment that they haven’t been kind and helpful with all my questions, and truly on top of requests, texts, calls and so forth! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much!! (… proud owner of three furry babies; two lap bunnies (mentioned above) and a cute lil dog (not really lil, over 60lbs lol!). Excellent for exotic animals and all kinds!!

This is the best veterinary practice in Lakeland, hands down. I love Dr. Donna and all of the staff. They are kind, compassionate and caring. They genuinely want to help. I’m so thankful I found them. Thank you for all you do!

Misty was wonderful! I was able to visit my puppy anytime before I took him home and she matched me with the puppy that would be best for me. My Henry is healthy, calm and so cute! I got to meet his parents too which was important to me.

Misty at Haven Kennels is the best breeder in the world! When we picked up Hughie, our beautiful boy Bichon Frise, he was totally spoiled, happy and healthy. Hughie has the kindest of disposition and is a very loving puppy. We highly recommend Haven Kennels if you are considering bringing a fur baby into your home.

Misty takes wonderful, loving care of her dogs. They are happy and healthy. I have a wonderful Maltese I got from her and I am delighted with her. She is only 3 months old but because of Misty’s training, the first night home she got out of bed each time she had to go and went on her pee pads! I highly recommend getting your dog from Misty.

Misty, the kennel owner, is a very nice person who obviously loves her dogs. She only feeds them the best food, ensures that their shots are up to date, controls the siring process. Her dam and male parents CKC and AKC meet all of the proper criteria. Our pup was chipped and in our case and to wonderful surprise was pad trained. Our pup is amazingly healthy, smart and playful. Misty is also really good that if you any questions you can just give her a call. So questions on grooming, continued shots etc... she's been there. My wife and I are so glad that we now have our newest member of our family.

We got our Bichon from Haven Kennel and he is about 9 months old now. He is smart, handsome, and healthy. We are so glad that we went with Haven Kennel and couldn’t be happier to have him in our home.

We got our sweet Bichon Frise from Misty. She was nice and the dogs are well kept. Very affordable compared to other breeders. I recommend anyone who is interested in getting a puppy to get it from Haven Kennel!!

We have been going here for years. This place is amazing! My doggo LOVES coming here to be groomed and boarded. She always comes home smelling clean and with a cute bow! This holiday season they even did a personalized ornament and gave her dog treats! I can’t ask for a better place to leave our beloved family member when we go away. Don’t go there. I took my yorkie there on July 26 for a flea dip, cut & nail clip. She didn’t have fleas until she left there & they never cut her hair, they did a terrible job. I live in highland village & found 2 other people that had the same problem, don’t waste your money

Both my babies looked great. But my princess Wicked looked gorgeous and so much as a girl.

We have been getting dogs groomed at various places over the past 10 years with mixed results. Hollywoof was one of the best experiences I have had and their prices are competitive ($75 for a 50 lb labradoodle). One of the biggest issues I have had elsewhere is the groomer actually cutting the dog the way we like it; normally, after explaining how we want it done, the dog will come out with a different cut. The groomer at Hollywoof asked how we wanted it done and then asked multiple questions to make sure we were in the same page. My dog came out exactly as we requested and she was happy and clean. The groomer and staff were all friendly and the hours of operation are convenient. I will definitely be back.

Rizzo absolutely loves this place. He is always excited when I am dropping him off and I know the people there treat him right. We love when they post pictures of the dogs on FB.

Friendly and happy staff. Our dog loves spending the day here. She runs in, happy to see her friends. And she comes home happy at the end of the day. This is a rescue dog, diagnosed with PTSD because of abuse by her previous owner. She's afraid of her own shadow, trembling at loud noises. But spending time at Hollywoof brings her joy every time.

We have brought our fur baby Chase there several time for daycare and he loves it. The staff is so friendly, patient and they really get to know your pet. We will be boarding him there for a week.

Our pup was happy after leaving and even gave his groomer a little kiss, so we know he was well-taken care of. The staff is friendly and helpful and did a great job grooming him.

Coming from a former employee I'm going to show you the truth of this place. This place deserves 0 stars! Their facility is beyond disgusting with a roach and rat infestation. The pictures they have online are years old when the place was ran better. They don't feed the dogs are give them water for days. They only get let outside once a day. The owner scams and upcharges for higher services for your dog to get mistreated like the rest. They don't allow tours because the place is so filthy and unsanitary. I have no idea how this place is still standing but no animal deserves this type of treatment!

Boarded my dog at southern paws and she loved it! Luna has so much fun with group play making friends. She had gotten a bath so she was clean when we picked her up. Love that they send pics everyday so we can see how she is doing. Definitely will be using them again and going to take her to their doggy day care.

We had our dog at Southern Paws for nine years, since he was two months old. The owner cares about dogs and it shows. He's been in doggy daycare and boarded, groomed. We miss this place since we've moved out of state! I encourage you to use your intuition when you take your fur babes to a daycare of boarder and it shouldn't steer you wrong. I certainly did and it yield years of happy puppy memories. Don't read second hand hate online.

Excellent facility with an even better staff! Many thanks to Michaela and Emily. They kept us updated by sending photos while our lab was with them, which gave us peace of mind. I highly recommend Southern Paws for anyone looking for top-notch care.

I’ve been taking my dog to Southern Paws for a little over a year now and they have been nothing but amazing! She is always so excited to go and they send me so many pictures of her playing during her stay! She also gets a great bath before I pick her up and always looks beautiful! I would highly recommend them!

Nasty neglectful place. Take your fur babies somewhere else that will allow you to check out the facility.

We have been unimpressed with this resort. The day of drop off there was no one up front, and took several calls and knocks on the back door to finally have someone appear. She had 0 knowledge or experience to assist. We had our 6 month old boarded for 3 1/2 days, and she contracted kennel cough. She’s vaccinated with boardatella, so she shouldn’t have gotten it. They would never let us in the back to see the area that she would be in. So I couldn’t even confirm if the place was clean in the back. When calling to let them know how upset we were that our dog is sick, all the owner had to say was that they have no record of any other dog being sick.. $150 vet bill later and we barely get an apology. I’m fuming, and will never recommend this place to anyone. Please do your research before boarding your dogs, we thought we did and here we are.

Please be careful where you leave your furbabies. *edit* go look at the one star reviews. it seems that this place has been problematic for years. im starting to think some of the good reviews are fake at this point.

I left my dog there for two days and gave food for morning and night. When I picked up my dog, all food was still there except one bag. Not sure why they didn’t feed him.

Please be mindful who you let take care of your pets, your family. Please see/read these!!!! If this gets taken down, I will keep posting. Shame on this place!!!!

Emilie's has been great. You can immediately tell she is a true animal lover... and they love her. Emilie provides prompt and professional service. She's reliable, very responsible and someone I’d highly recommend. And, I love that she sends photos and text updates.

My wife and I went away for a week on a cruise and had Emilie watch our cat for the week. We never had someone come to the house, we just usually boarded our cats. Knowing that every time we are gone we get a call from the vet saying our buddy is not eating. We found Emilie on-line and she had good reviews. We had a meet and greet with her and discussed the details. While we were gone Emilie sent daily updates with pictures. My wife and I had a much better sense of comfort knowing he was being well taken care of. I would recommend Emilie anytime and plan on using her again in the future.

Emilie is absolutely amazing! From the moment we met I knew she was right for my needs. Pet/house sitter she sends so many pictures and goes above and beyond the pets needs. She is now a trusted member of my family. I received pictures of the babies and she helped with minor request I had to make sure the house stayed in order. The house was better than when I left it and the cats were happier than I ever seen them. 5 star service from an amazing person.

I was challenged with having a puppy, aging dog and one in between so stayed home a lot and never went with my family on outings. Emilie was highly recommended on the Nextdoor Ap and called her to meet and she was at my house by Weeks end to help me live again so to speak. Works last minute within our area and very prompt and reliable. The pets took to her and did their business and we enjoyed a family day once again. Very recommended for quick let outs and last minute pet needs!!She gave me some cute pics!

Emilie has been watching our cats for us for a long time. She is simply the best! Whenever we leave town, we leave our cats in her care, and we are always thrilled with how they’re taken care of. We always come home to happy cats and clean boxes. She’s good with the creatures and can even entice our more skittish and shy cats out for some scratches and pets on her visits. If you need a cat sitter in Lakeland, look no further — Emilie is simply the best!

Emilie is amazing! I was panicking about the thought of boarding my two cats while on vacation. Loki (gray/white) is extremely skittish and runs from people, so boarding wasn’t the best option. Emilie was prompt in replying to my query and was so patient with my cats. She took the time to get to know with my skittish little one and he got so comfortable with her he would rub against her legs! I highly recommend her services. 100% Top Quality Veterinarian!! Emergency c-section for frenchie went smooth and the office is above and beyond accommodating. Love the fact that you can text the number if needed and they were so helpful even after hours. Amazing post surgical outreach also as they checked in regularly via telephone and provided instruction as needed. We Will be staying loyal to this clinic!

Dr.Lockhart is a knowledgeable caring and trustworthy Veterinarian. We had a really great experience the staff was very friendly and caring. His prices are very reasonable. We are very glad that we have found him once again.

This clinic is 5 stars all around. Intimate environment, personalized care, and great prices. Our breeder recommended Dr. Lockhart as someone she could trust and had affordable prices compared to other local vets. The staff members are kind, our dog is very comfortable going, and overall our experience has been extremely positive. I also appreciate that Dr. Lockhart is easygoing and doesn't push unnecessary procedures or products. Some vets' motives can lean towards simply making money, and I feel that Dr. Lockhart is there for the animal's wellbeing. Their office is in what used to be a home, and it does feel like home. I couldn't recommend more!

I cannot thank Mindie and Dr. Lockhart enough for seeing our Daisy girl today. After trying for hours to get our 12 year old acutely ill GSP to our regular vet where we take all 4 of our fur babies, then being told no and calling multiple places, Mindie got us in without even being established patients and all the staff and Dr. Lockhart treated my husband and Daisy so well. I rushed out of my own clinic and met them there where again, Mindie showed me right to them and Dr. Lockhart came back and explained all differentials, imaging , plans of care. Tonight at least our sweet girl can start getting better and not be uncomfortable while she heals! I will be transferring care for all 4 of my pups to his practice . They were not only very willing to help, but also sympathetic, kind and very knowledgeable!

Dr. Tim Lockhart, his wife Abbey and staff are awesome. They are very compassionate and caring and make a tough experience with a very sick fur baby easier. Truly dedicated and strive to make you and your pet comfortable. Dr. Tim takes the time to explain everything. Highly recommend them.

Dr Hollister has been very compassionate with my needs, and extremely helpful. Talking to her on the phone was easy, and so happy she explained all I needed in full detail. Not used to ever getting to talk to any Vet on the phone, so that alone makes her rise above and beyond about other Dr's. Her prices are very fair. I really feel she knows her stuff and happy I found her. Her staff also is kind and friendly, not frazzled and rude like other places. I am able to be with my dog for any procedure, which means the world to me. Have had other vets tell me I can't be with my dogs, and that is not going to happen. Hope to have many more wonderful experiences here!

Jen has been nothing short of amazing. We have two very old dogs, one of which is blind and afraid of everything, and she makes sure he feels safe and comfortable. Jenn has been a life saver for me and my dogs over the past year; she has adapted to my ever-changing schedule and my dog absolutely loves her visits.
