Caroline and Rob are the best the house sitters you could wish for. They were very flexible with our arrival and departure times due to our flights and nothing was any trouble. We did not worry about Teddie for a second as we knew he was in great hands and was being spoiled rotten. Caroline and Rob sent daily video's and photos of their various walks, tea shops and walks to our local pub. It was such a joy to know that they were enjoying their stay and Teddie was as happy as larry! Caroline and Rob are fabulous and very caring and 5 stars are not enough! When we returned home the house was immaculate, and Teddie was beautifully groomed and very happy. We cannot thank Caroline and Rob aka Auntie C and Uncle B enough for their care, patience and the genuine affection to our Teddster. We are all looking forward to seeing you in March. Clare and Matt were absolutely brilliant sitters, as all their other glowing reviews suggested. Their communication was just right, not too much or too little. They arrived on time, and asked lots of good questions about the sit in preparation for our departure. And they were an instant hit with our dog Jasper. We had complete confidence in them as we left, and they sent us occasional updates of Jasper throughout our two week holiday. Nothing was a problem and they thoughtfully checked our flight was not delayed before leaving the house in perfect condition (immaculately clean) for our return home. Clare and Matt are both really lovely people who I cannot recommend more highly. Jasper was clearly very well looked after, as was our home.

Trustworthy, active retired couple looking forward to sitting your house and pet
Linda and Stephen took care of our house and dog from May 24, 2024 through June 9, 2024. They took great care of our dog, Zoe. They kept the house clean and even some of the outside area after a Moroccan sandstorm. Our only complaint was that they ignored our request to keep things where they found them. We told them when they arrived that we had sitters that moved things so much that we were still looking for things three weeks later. So they then went on to move glasses into different cupboards, rearranged pots and pans, and took out of the refrigerator, a water bottle with cut lemons in it that is used to take to chorus. After 18 days, the water was spoiled and had to be discarded.

Kate was an absolute dream and was the best pet sitter I could have possibly asked for! Kate was extremely trustworthy, communicative, and reliable, and provided frequent updates while I was away. She left my apartment spotlessly clean and even took the initiative to fix my wobbly towel bar. Finally, Kate took excellent care of my cat Daisy and I came home to a happy and content cat! Kate was amazing all around and I would be thrilled to have her sit for me again at any time. Thanks for everything!

Abby was truly the best pet sitter we've ever had. We were never concerned or worried about the care of our pups and home. All the neighbors have told me that the dogs looked happy on the many walks. She sent videos of photos about every other day. We hope that Abby will stay in our home next summer as well. Abby is very highly recommended by our whole family, including the dogs!!!

Angie and Joe were fabulous pet/house sitters and overall people! Angie sent daily updates with photos. Really appreciate the extra effort they put into watering the grass and garden. The house was exactly the same as when I left (including sheets/towel washed, beds made, frig cleaned, dishes put away and trash taken out...). Pretty sure Mia was looking for them the next day as she ran to the guest bedroom. Already scheduled a second sit! If you're lucky enough to land them as pet sitter then you're lucky.

Mary Jessica was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our GIANT dog Mamma Mia. She took extremely good care of our house with it cleaner than we left it upon our return. Our neighbors remarked on all the walks she gave Mamma and Mamma seemed very pleased with the entire experience. Mary Jessica was self sufficient, needing very little instruction outside of our Welcome Guide. She followed everything I wrote and asked how much communication I’d want. I’m very pleased and would both recommend her and love to have her again.

If you’re lucky enough to find Anna as your pet sitter you will have peace of mind and well cared for pets whilst you are away and a clean and tidy home on your return. Anna is thoughtful and kind, she arrived the evening before the sit which allowed for some time to hear about her interesting travels and work, kept me updated with fabulous photos and details of the friendship she was making with the cats and even took the trouble to fix a sticky catch on the cat flap. It’s so reassuring to know we have Selby dog walking and boarding to provide top class care for our dogs when we are unable to do so. They provide a friendly and professional service and we know they will look after our dogs as if they were their own. The dogs are always excited to go, we would always recommend!
My Dachshund loves it when it's dog day care day. Mention the word Betty (is a dog) and he goes crackers. Very professional and clearly treats our dog like one of their own. I would highly recommend Selby Dog Walking & Home Boarding 100%.

Unfortunately didn’t even get to sample, we booked in with two dogs in March and gave full description of needs, one of my dogs is on medication as he has IVDD, which affects his mobility… We said we had a set of wheels that would help them when letting him Out for a walk. I was told that they couldn’t possibly do this as they dont have the time to be messing with the aids! I said that was fine and that it was just to support but he doesn’t always need it, but was then told they couldn’t accommodate a dog with a disability, which is shocking!! I also said that he may need to be let out fairly early around 6:30/7 for his toilet as he can’t hold it for hours on end, he is not incontinent, just need regular toilet breaks, again they said that they did t have the time to accommodate. They then said that they are going to have to cancel the booking leaving us virtually no time to find somebody else at such short notice! I was so disappointed with the lack of care and empathy for my poor dog, the wheels take only 5 seconds to attach but they did t have the time. I didn’t think that Such discrimination was poignant within the canine world. I would not entertain these boarding kennels, and pity any dog that may have a disability.
Happy paws is a well appointed kennels in a countryside location with plenty of secure exercise areas and comfortable accommodation. Rosie and her team are brilliant, and their love of animals very apparent. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a safe welcoming kennels for their pets.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The only place we will leave our dogs! The fact that our dogs get excited when we go down their lane, says it all. Clean and tidy kennels with excellent facilities for exercise. Rosie & the team are excellent. Thank you!
At the time of the one star rating by Valerie Elton,Rosie was/is having issues with her phone, no O2 signal in the area, so is UNABLE to pick up messages straight away and respond quickly. She has a back log of people to contact and is doing all she can! She does not have time to sit inside all day calling people from her landline as the care of the dogs currently boarding take priority. Please be kind! Please be patient!
My dog has loved coming to these kennels over several years. The care is exemplary and on every occasion I was completely satisfied. You know when your dog hasn't been happy and I can honestly say she loved it. Rosie and Richard go the extra mile, and all staff I have ever dealt with have been caring, dedicated and willing to accommodate my dog's needs. The kennels are always clean and the atmosphere relaxed. They follow instructions to the hilt and I really can't recommend them enough. Be reassured your dog will be well cared for and will undoubtedly love it's stay.
We took Ellie here after being let down by our usual kennels, Ellie enjoyed her stay, Rosie is lovely and looks after all of the dogs with love and care. We will definitely carry on using Happy Paws from now on and we can't recommend them enough. Thank you for looking after Ellie whilst we were away.
Excellent kennels with lovely owners who really care about your dog. Our dog Suzy always walks in wagging her tail, which helps when you're leaving your beloved pet when you go on holiday. We use them everytime we go away.
I have telephoned to request a booking. Voice mail says they pick up messages in the evening, and will get back to me the next day. No they don't. I have telephoned 4 times now and no one has returned my call. Or ring Rosie on her mobile. Same thing. Rosie hasn't returned my call either.
Highly recommend Rosie and everyone at Happy Paws! I work as a veterinary nurse and trust my dogs at these kennels 100%! Wouldn't go anywhere else
I have been bringing my dogs here for many years. The service is second to none. My dogs love it here and leap out the car when we arrive! It’s a real home from home and Rosie and Richard are fabulous! Wouldn’t use anywhere else. Immaculately clean.
