Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Mary was fantastic from start to finish and looked after our elderly dog with love and attention to her needs. She also looked after our home with respect and care. We couldn't have asked for a nicer sitter and would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.
I felt that my dogs were in good hands with Billy & Cherice - both pups seemed happy and well cared for when I returned from my 3-week trip. My home was also clean and tidy. This was my first experience using an unknown sitter and I felt nervous to leave my dogs for so long while traveling abroad. If they were to stay again I would request more regular photo updates, but otherwise was very happy with Billy and Cherice's pet and home care.
Amanda was the perfect housesitter and pet sitter for our cat. She is organized and communicative, and took care to ensure she understood the guidelines for taking care of our home and our cat. She left our house in perfect condition and we returned home to one happy kitty! Would not hesitate to have Amanda housesit for us again or recommend her to others looking for a sitter.
Anant was a great sitter and a friendly guy. Kept me up to date re his arrival and with Marie & Toulouse during the sit. Found my house exactly as I had left it. Would highly recommend Anant to other pet parents.
Sharon was by far the best sitter I’ve ever had! From the very first time we connected, she was communicative and proactive with follow up. She asked great questions prior to her stay and I could tell she’s done this many times and that she genuinely cares about the pets and homes she cares for. Sharon went above and beyond to leave my house in ever better shape, cleaning and organizing. It was a dream to come home to! Thank you Sharon!
Davis and Sydney were loving sitters for our pets. We even had an extra cat (our son's) and they took great care of all of the pets and our home. The pictures and the comments they sent showed us they figured out all of their quirky personalities very fast. It was nice to come home to a clean house and all pets were safe and happy! We would ask them back again.
Anna and Alan were absolutely brilliant. This was my first time using a sitter for our pup and from the start Anna was reassuring and put me at complete ease. They sent regular pictures while we were away and were incredibly easy to communicate with. I'd highly recommend Anna and Alan for any pet sitting needs. Robyn
We've had many pet sitters over the years (this is our first time using this app) and Missy is the best sitter we've ever had for our dog and cats. Our pets, particularly our dog, adored her and was really sad to see her go. It is obvious she loves animals and immediately understood the pack dynamics and the pet personalities. She kept the house tidy, litter box clean, and the animals so well loved. Because she was traveling from far away, she stayed with us the night before our trip and the night we came back. It was a pleasure to get to know her. We would welcome her back to our house as a friend or a sitter anytime. Highly recommend!
Elaine was the best dog and cat sitter I have ever had! She was so loving to the boys, kind, reliable, capable and took fabulous care of my two dogs and cat welfare. Walked them every day and would even sing to them (-: I am so very grateful to have had the pleasure of meeting Elaine and I would recommend Elaine to anyone wanting first class care of pets and home!!! We all miss having her around and wish her a fabulous world trip and safe journey back to the States.
Janis is absolutely the best pet sitter and home care we have had. She is a regular for us during our Christmas vacation because we totally trust her with the care of our three dogs and the management of our home. She is so good and efficient that I have already requested that she sits for us again next Christmas. Our three dogs absolutely adored her as she played fetch, took them on walks, loved and spoiled them. Management of our home was excellent. I had no concerns whatsoever as we had packages delivered and Mail that needed to be picked up. The house was in much better condition than what we left it. I highly recommend Janis and you will be fortunate to have her as your sitter.

My dog is currently wrapping up her 2 month long training. I could not be happier with their program. Our trainer Kane is top notch in everything he does with my dog and his customer service! I will recommend Kane and Conway Kennel to everyone I know!
This is our "place" for our dogs whenever we need them boarded. We just boarded our very nervous dog. She saw to it that our dog was between non aggressive dogs in order to help her as much as possible. It's always hard on animals to be boarded, but to have a Kennel that tries to make it easier on them is awesome
Our first experience with Conway Kennels was for training, we took our beagle puppy and our golden and left them for 6 weeks of training. They were well cared for and well trained. We continued to take our dogs for boarding with zero issues, the dogs were always happy and excited to see Mel and Bucko and healthy and happy when picked up. When our golden was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma and we had to go out of Town , they put their own dogs in the kennel and kept mine in their house. When he took a turn for the worse they called and let me pick him up way after closing, that’s above and beyond. I have boarded and or trained 7 dogs at Conway Kennels, this is a very professionally run training/boarding facility. Love all of them and would leave my dogs in their care with zero concerns.
I have had two dogs trained here. When i began it was for simple obedience training help and it ended up being full fledge field trial competition. It's really the most amazing and gratifying experience you can expect to have in your lifetime.
The only place to take your dog! I had my lab trained there many years ago and just had our pointer trained there this year. Great place to board your pets(Just dropped off our three dogs) and the rates are very reasonable. Mel, Bucko, Charlette, Brook and Tony are wonderful to work with. No need to go anywhere else!
This place is awesome and is extremely affordable. Mel was very good with our dogs and made sure that they received plenty of love, excercise, and attention. Our dogs were only in the kennel for a few hrs a day as they were running, jumping, and chasing ball most of the day. If your dog requires medication they will give them their meds!
Nothing like their website makes them out to be. Our lab went in happy and healthy and a bit overweight. After a 2 week stay she came out with her ribs showing, rub marks on all her joints and she smelled really really bad. We had a vet do a house call within 3 hrs of picking her up. It is thought that the kennels were cleaned with a strong disinfectant, not rinsed well enough and that our dog was put back into the kennel when it was wet causing a skin problem. The price we were quoted was not what we were billed. Our bill almost $100 higher than quote. Lesson learned.
Absolutely the best. Trained my three adopted three year olds, then trained me to keep them trained. That was six years ago, and the program has remained totally successful. From one who spends a great deal of his time outdoors and in with his dogs.
This is a top notch, first class operation. My dog is simply the strongest, sharpest and most obedient lab I'll ever own. In an area not known for bird hunting, Conway Kennels makes it feel like home. Their experience, knowledge and facilities are excellent and a rare find anywhere in the country. Bucko and Mel actually care more about your dog, then you, and I'm ok with that. These are great people offering expertise for the highest caliber dogs in the area. Always an awesome experience, and Dekes is always fired up when we pull into the property... 5 Stars!
Took our 7 year-old Maine Coon cat to Conway Kennel for a week. They loved him! He seemed very content when I picked him up and the staff were great to work with. I will continue using them and add our 2 year-old Border Collie as well.
My German Shepherd lights up every time she’s greeted at the door. She’s always met with loving energy and is always excited to be here! More than just boarding there was such attentiveness and care given and Iris, my German Shepherd is always such a happy puppy when I pick her up! I’m always provided with pictures and updates while Iris is in her care and it’s really nice to have that peace of mind as I go about my day! I always feel like I’m trusting my Iris with a close friend, not just a business. From Doggy Daycare to house calls or just simple dog walks, there’s no one else I would rather have my looking after my baby and I would highly recommend this place to anyone in need of pet care!
One of the best doggie daycare I've ever experienced!!! My two fur babies are my pride and joy and to be able to get pictures sent during daycare was a great way for me to see how my babies were doing. I was even able to board my fur babies while I went on vacation recently and it was the most relaxing feeling knowing my pups were having a blast and well taken care of! Definitely highly recommend especially when wanting the best care for your babies!
All Lives Paradise will always be my go to for all my pet care needs. From drop in daycare to boarding All Lives Paradise provides a safe fun environment for my dogs to socialize and explore.
First time leaving my dog under someone else's care since I got Nala. Outstanding services and professionalism! Rachael asked questions regarding Nala that made me know she was looking after my dog's best interest! I received a happy Nala back, and though I don't like the thought of being away from my pup, I know she is in good hands with this place!!
I’ve had Rachael of All Lives Paradise care for my 2 dogs and 1 cat on several occasions now. The most recent being last week and involved a family emergency that required me to get to Oregon immediately. Exceptional care and concern was provided to my fur friends (on every occasion) and they and I couldn’t be more happy with the services provided. She also sent pictures and updates on how they were doing and their activities. EXCELLENT !!! Rachael and All Lives Paradise is the ONLY pet care service I will use and she and her company have a customer for life. Thanks again Rachael…very much.
Very caring company, they take their time with all animals they take care of. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for daycare or boarding for their animals. 5 star animal hotel essentially lol love the staff there they are all very genuine people. The owner is super sweet and caring.
Amazing care that comes from the heart ❤️ weather your pet has problems with others or health conditions your pets are always in good care ❤️ pretty much a second home for your pets needs for a worry free vacation 🫶🏻 …
She's great with the animals she cares for and incredibly hard working!
Best place ever she treats everyone with respect ill neverbgo anywhere else
Thank you for much for your review!
Our go-to place to board our 2 Scotties. They built the building with separate areas for dogs & cats. Very caring and dedicated Staff. Senior discount for stays more than 6 nights.
Beautiful, peaceful setting for a walk in the woods with my fur baby.
The staff was very welcoming. I have never boarded my dog before and the moment I walked in everyone was giving my girl so much love and attention I felt at ease. It’s very clean I lover pulling up to the red barn and green fields. This is a very comfortable space.
Writing this review to hopefully help others because we were completely blindsided. THIS PLACE IS FAR FROM A RESORT!!! I did some research and Dogwood came recommended by others in the area. Looking at their website, I didn’t think it would be a traditional kennel, and that’s what they advertise. We went for a tour and I was appalled. I guess I didn’t do enough research because after reading some other reviews just now, I likely would have never set foot in this facility. Just looking at this the owner has responded to some negative reviews is very telling. I can’t imagine how these employees treat the pets staying here. First, the staff member who led the tour was far from friendly. She didn’t seem like someone who would give my dog any love or attention. If you go to the website and read the history, you’ll see that they opened this business to not be like other kennels. They state “some kennels are dark, windowless buildings with poor ventilation, cold floors, and low ceilings.” Upon entering the kennel, everything about that statement was true about Dogwood. The smell of urine could be smelt through a mask. The kennel area was extremely claustrophobic. Sure there are a few windows way up high, but overall it was dark and felt like a depressing animal shelter. They only let your dog out of the kennel twice a day for ten minutes. If you would like your dog to be let out more, you can pay to do so. Reading other reviews, this place charges for every little “upgrade” that seem like normal parts of our dog’s lives. To me, it was clear this place was just there to make money. I didn’t get the sense from the atmosphere or the employee that they would care at all for my dog. If you are looking for a place that would love and care for your dog, save yourself the time and don’t bother with Dogwood.
Deserve zero stars. Picked my dogs up after 4 days of boarding. They handed me back over 3/4 of the food I had given them. My smaller dog's face looked sunken in. Took them home bathed them then weighed them. Smaller dog had lost 10# and larger dog had lost 8#. They claimed they fed them twice per day, impossible considering how much food was returned and weight loss. Gave them enough food for those 4 days and like I said over 3/4 was returned. I've read other reviews that state they only let the boarded dogs out twice per day. After this stay I would wager a bet that they only see them once per day period. Feed them, let them out and see-ya tomorrow. I have large dogs that require 4 cups of food per day and they were given closer to 1.5 cups per day. If you love your dogs do NOT leave them in their care.
So clean and a great talented staff. They really know what they're doing here and your dogs and cats will be well taken care of, highly recommended!!
I used the Dogwood for years when I lived on Whidbey Island. This place is truly special and provides amazing care for furry friends. Every time I'd round the corner and head down the street toward the Dogwood my dog would get so excited! He absolutely loved it there. He required multiple medications and treatments and the staff always made sure he was well taken care of. He always came home exhausted and happy. Thank you to everyone at the Dogwood (especially you, Colleen) who made the time my friend spent on the island magical. He has since passed over the rainbow bridge but I am happy he was able to spend so many wonderful years visiting this place. Thank you to all the staff who make this place what it is.
We’ve been taking our sweet Stormy girl to Dogwood about every other month for the past six months for 5-10 days at a time. She’s had the best of time there. She’s always excited when we pull up and they are always happy to greet her when she comes in. Everything has been very straight forward and our dog has been very well cared for. This is a big deal not only to myself but my kids to knowing that she’s in good hands!♥️
Please reconsider taking ANY pet here!!! You may have the belief your pet will be safe, happy and well cared for, but that couldn't be further from the truth!! These animals are left unattended in cement cages for 14 hours a day, 5PM to 8AM. They may get an outside break for a total of 20 minutes a day, at times this doesn't happen as the staff may "run out of time" keep in mind they will NEVER miss a smoke break. There is constant barking and loud noises throughout the day, aggressive dogs are not muzzled and certain dogs who are visibly shaking are not given extra attention or care for their fear and anxiety. Additionally, when a well intending person pays extra $ for their pet to receive extra playtime, it will be too much of a burden for the staff, yet it gets marked down as a provided service. Please consider leaving your dog in its known environment and hire a person to check on and actually care for your pet. I have personally used WAG before and I have had great success.
I should have read more of these reviews. We took our pup there twice to be socialized, both times he came home stressed and nauseous not having spent any time with other dogs and the excuse of "maybe next time." I want to believe they are spending time with my pup but suspect he's spending the day stressing in a kennel, taken out only occasionally to relieve himself. There won't be a "maybe next time." Not a good fit for us and if you want your dog socialized I recomend you look elsewhere as well.
They have a terrible pricing policy that no one at the facility was able to properly give me an explanation for. We had our dog boarded overnight, which is $60 and they must be picked up by 11am the next day. We would not be able to pick him up until later in the afternoon though so we asked to just have the "day care" for the following day. However, instead of charging us for the day care/ boarding ($35) they insisted we must be charged for $60 - another full overnight boarding. They insisted we must be there in person by 11am to switch him to day boarding if we did not want to paybthe $60. Which would obviously defeat the purpose. They tried to say "it's like a hotel". This makes no sense though. A hotel doesn't offer a service of a lower price to just use the facility for the day without a room for the night. You do though. It's one of your primary services. This is a terrible policy and it makes absolutely no sense. It's only purpose is to squeeze more money out of their clients. We will not be returning.
I take my German pup here a LOT! My family and I have to commute to ours jobs (because ofc we do) so this place is a great place to have your dog run around and be free with other dogs! They take good care of my pup and he always seems happy when we walk in so this is obviously a 5-star no brainer!
My Golden Retriever, Honey, has been going to doggy daycare at Camano Island Kennels for over 2 years. She LOVES going there! Excellent facility and staff. Bravo!
I have boarded my Pom Reeses here twice so far and I will continue to do so when I go out of town. The staff is polite and friendly and they have always answered any questions I may have. I love the fact that pictures are posted on Facebook so I can see Reeses when I am gone. I would not hesitate to recommend this kennel to anyone who needs to board their dog.
Dropped my dogs off for boarding here at this facility for the first time. Upon pickup- they were absolutely filthy and smelled like urine- as did their materials we dropped off and the whole lobby smelled like urine as well. I can understand the dogs being a bit dirtier due to playing outside- but I was surprised how dirty they were and the urine! We had to pay for them to be groomed at our regular groomer once we got back in town. Additionally, my dog woke up his first night back with projectile vomiting and diarrhea. It’s disappointing, won’t be returning.
DO NOT GO TO THIS KENNEL One month follow up at bottom I dropped my three sight hounds off for a seven day visit at this kennel. When I went to pick them up there were infected sores on two of my dogs legs. The staff at the kennel when checking the dogs out all mentioned, "they had not seen the sores." After discussion with the owners they came off as unapologetic towards the well being of our dogs. The individual doing their veterinary care said, "this does look infected," to the sore on one of the dogs legs. Another one of the owners said, "just put a spray on it." I video chatted with our veterinarian and he informed us that the sores are directly related to laying on a hard surface and uncleanliness or a cleaning agent affecting the skin. I returned to the kennel to receive a copy of the contract that is signed when dropping off the dogs. At this time the same gentleman from before came out, didn't catch his name, and began to have an altercation with me. This is the same person that had said, "I did not know about the sores," with our first encounter now changed his story to, "they had the sores when they got here." This is absolutely not the case, all three dogs had their annual health check three days prior to being checked into this kennel. His final words to me were, "get off my property." This is the response I got to the care given to my hounds and the cleanliness of the kennel during their stay. So, long story short, DO NOT, under any circumstances take your dogs to this kennel. If something were to occur they will be defensive, unapologetic, have no accountability, and management is unprofessional. Here are a few photos of the wounds my dogs now have on their legs. One month follow up- After multiple vet visits, and continued issues with the wounds on my dogs legs they are finally coming around to good health. Following the confrontation with the gentleman at the kennel and the “vet tech” at the kennel claiming my dogs had these wounds when they arrived, I was able to find on the kennels social media photos of my dogs. In one photo you can see there is no wound or swelling in the joint on the dogs leg. This photo is from “5days ago,” on Instagram when I took the photos. Then on a post that shows “5 hours ago,” you can see the swelling in the joint on the dog. I have attached these photos. I would continue to encourage people to not go to this kennel under any circumstances. The temperament change that my dogs had and have taken to recover from over the past month was awful as well as the health issues on their skin and wounds on their legs. Protect your pet and yourself from this place and never go.
We had a very pleasant experience here. We visited a couple others, and this establishment was bright, clean, open enclosure so the dogs didn't feel alone. In sure they also have more private options for dogs that don't want to socialize. They have a large outdoor exercise yard that is grass and plenty of room. I would definitely use again if we needed to kennel again.
Feels petty to be charged a full days rate per dog for showing up an hour and 45 min past their 11am pick up time...after they've spent over 18 days this month and been charged 1800$ wish they would have communicated that I would be charged 110$ for being an hour and 45 min late. Zero communication
My pup has been going to this kennel since she was very young and every experience has been positive and encouraging. She’s there about 3 times a week for play and socialization. The staff have been excellent and constantly provide feedback on her daily experiences. I highly recommend this kennel to anyone looking for a fun and safe environment for their pet.
Great place to let my dog play with other dogs she always has fun. As you can see how happy she is
These guys are the best and I'm picky who I entrust my dogs with. They treat them like family and are very thoughtful
We have hired Totally Tails Pet Care Services to take care of our two indoor cats many times over the past year, and we couldn't be more pleased. We receive daily email photo updates along with thorough, detailed reports while we are gone. We know they get plenty of attention and affection because our cats are always cheerful and calm when we get home with no signs of separation anxiety. Thank you Michele for your great service!
Totally Tails Pet Care Services has provided excellent, caring and reliable dog walking/pet care five days a week for the last year for our two Golden Retrievers (our dogs are now one year old and nine years old). Our family is so impressed with the level of service and professionalism provided by Totally Tails Pet Care! I highly recommend them! The daily pictures of our pets, which they email us, are just the best. It is so reassuring to know that our furry family members are well cared for while we are at work.
I hired Totally Tails to watch after my 2 dogs while I was on vacation in Hawaii. I knew I didn’t want to kennel them, so I was excited about someone coming to my home to feed, exercise, and care for my pups. Not only do they do a fantastic job of exercising the dogs they sent DAILY photos and follow-ups of their health and progress. These reports made me feel very comfortable with Totally Tails. They also rotated indoor lighting so as to give the impression that someone is always home. Superb service! Beats kenneling when your pups are in their home environment. I will contract with them again!
When it comes to Totally Tails, I have nothing but positive things to say. We trust the entire team completely and know that our dogs are in great hands when we're away. Even if our regular sitter isn't available, there is always someone on standby to ensure our pups receive all the love and attention they need. Ramona runs her business with precision and ease, making scheduling and communication a breeze. We feel lucky to have Totally Tails in our dogs' lives and highly recommend them to anyone in need of pet care services.
This was the best pet care service we have ever experienced. An excellent value. The daily 30-minute visit was packed with focused attention to our cat's specific needs: food, medication, daily litter box cleaning, brushing, play time with treats, supervised outdoor deck time (indoor cat), and loving lap petting time. We received a daily review with pictures that served as both comfort and joy to us while we were away. Absolutely reliable. Knowledgeable about animal care. Loving and attentive. Professional. Responsible. Attentive to detail. Michele made sure we provided for unanticipated problems prior to leaving so our bases were covered in any event. THE BEST. We came home to a calm, happy, well cared for cat.
As fellow pet care providers we are quite picky who we leave our pack with should we go out of town. Ramona took care of a large zoo of animals (game birds, fish, Guinea pigs, and dogs). Her updates were thorough, and we came home to a clean house and happy animals. If you need a professional you can trust, you've found one here. Part of why we never leave town is not having had anyone we felt comfortable leaving them with, but now we do!
I love Michelle! We trust her implicitly with our dog and home. She goes above and beyond by bringing in our trash cans and packages when she's at our home for a dog visit. She sends us texts and pictures of our dog so we know she's taken care of. And she insists you text her that you're back home so she's assured your pet is safe. That's excellent care! Highly recommend her!
Camano Pet Sitters hav been taking care of my two Springer Spaniels for the last 2 years and I couldn't be happier. I have the peace of mind of knowing that my dogs are being loved and cared for when I have to be gone during the day. I don't know what I would do without Michele, Pat and their crew of dog lovers. I highly recommend them for you and your pet!
I was stressed, four sorta feral cats and I had to take a trip. My vet said boarding was a bad idea because none of them would adjust well - in addition to being expensive. Camano Pet Sitters to the rescue! Not only did they do a professional job I think they made headway with my cats who were actually peeking out at them by the end of the week. I cannot recommend Camano Pet Sitters highly enough - they are now my go to folks when I have to travel. My neighbors, who travel regularly, were so impressed by the level of professionalism and caring my pets received they will be switching to Camano Pet Sitters.
Erik has taken excellent care of our large greyhound since we adopted our pup in March. Greyhounds can be shy and aloof to strangers, but Erik seems to have a natural intuition in engaging with my dog; this is evident during our first meeting, and our boy has maintained a bond with Erik ever since. My significant other and I both have highly demanding jobs, and Erik has been blessing to us especially in caring for our energetic boy both during the day and sometimes overnight home stays. He pays great attention to details, has been flexible with scheduling, and always provide timely updates to let us know how our dog is doing. I knew our pup was in great hands when we arranged a week-long overnight stay with Erik. We have been incredibly pleased with how professional, communicative, and passionate Erik is about taking care of our pup.
Erik is GREAT. My little pup really looks forward to her walks with Erik.
One of the most compassionate and experienced person that I have ever met. Harley (my doggie) looks for Eric on the weekends. He truly is the animal whisperer. This is Harley the Great Dane
Erik does great with our German Shepherd puppy! He is reliable and trustworthy. We never have any concerns about our baby or the house when Erik is coming in and out. I have and will continue to recommend his services. I especially appreciate the pics he sends when he is there with her-it helps to see her so happy!
I love Erik and have been using him for years. We had a new rescue this year and even on the first visit he quickly acclimatised even though he was nervous with men specifically. I never have any doubts leaving my dogs with Erik.
Erik has helped me take care of my pet Blue and Gold Macaw and our family cat off and on for the past three years. He has been very reliable and trustworthy! We had long vacations where he needed to help us daily and he made friends with our very shy cat and was able to tend our parrot making our vacation worry free. Thank you Erik for your service!
Erik has watched our two cats twice now. Both times for four days. One of our cats has asthma and needs an inhaler. Erik has been able to give her this medication with ease and we are so grateful! We have been so impressed with this service. He is prompt and kind. Very communicative. The price is extremely reasonable. This most recent trip, we accidentally got the days wrong and he was able to accommodate! The cats really like him. Professionalism is at a 10! We will definitely hire him whenever we’re out of town and we recommend him to anyone!
My dogs love Erik! The are full of excitement when they see him arrive. He is very dependable and professional! I have two high energy dogs that Erik handles with ease. I highly recommend him!
We highly recommend Erik (Crazy Dog Man) for pet sitting. We have a large black lab/pit bull/Great Dane mix (Harley) that is a rescue, abused as a pup many years ago. He is therefore apprehensive around new people and takes awhile to gain trust. When Harley met Erik earlier this year, he took to him right away. Erik respects and understands Harley and his needs, especially now that he is a senior dog and has health issues. Erik stays at our house when we are on vacation and the occasional weekend, and provides Harley with exceptional care, including all his medications. Erik is definitely in tune with dogs, no matter their size.
Erik is very capable, conscientious and caring. My three horses and one donkey can be a handful but Erik handled them beautifully. He also did a great job of keeping their stalls, paddock and arena clean. I have recommended him to my friends, because they know I’m very particular about the quality of my pet family’s care. Erik provides that level of care!
Steve and Kerri are great and we love Adventure Dog Ranch! We have taken our German Shepherd to boarding here since he was just a little guy and eligible for boarding (needed to finish his vaccines). We wanted to get him used to boarding from an early age and we couldn’t think of a better option than adventure dog ranch. He gets so excited every time we pull in. They are great people who care about your animal. We have even done a board and train with them. We have only and will continue to take our pup here for boarding. We love that our pup gets to play and be an adventure dog at the ranch. They are very professional and take your dogs safety seriously by making sure they are up to date on their vaccines and putting them with dogs that they find fit best based on personality. They are kind, flexible, caring and we feel relieved to have a safe and fun place to take our dog. When we go out of town/on vacation we can trust our pup will be taken care of and have his needs met. We can enjoy ourselves while knowing our dog is doing the same! :)
We are so thankful to have the Adventure Dog Ranch for their boarding services! Kerri and Steve have been watching our Theo for years now. We have quite the energetic herding dog, so we’re very grateful that Theo gets to play outside all day and isn’t in a kennel like many other boarding places. We make the trip to Marysville (from Seattle) because we’ve trusted the care at Adventure Dog ranch. Theo is always excited to see Kerri and Steve during drop off and I know they really care for the dogs. Highly recommend!
Our dogs had a great time with Kerri and Steve at daycare. Lots of room to play, and lots of love!
Our dogs LOVE Steve and Kerri! As soon as we turn down the road they are so excited and can't wait to get in there. We love that our dogs get to play all day long - we have a black lab and golden retriever and our golden relies so much on the black lab (she is blind in one eye), who loves to play and socialize! Steve and Kerri have worked with them while at boarding so now our golden has become way more friendly and doesn't need to rely on our black lab as much! The best part is we are always able to enjoy our vacation because we know our babies are well taken care of and having so much fun! Highly recommend them!
Steve and Carrie are amazing dog people. I have been taking my dog here for years, and not only do they treat your dog as their own, but they are both well versed in dog language and are excellent pack leaders. I love that they live on-site and are always present to care for the dogs. I feel very safe in taking my dog there because she's my baby and want her to be well attended. If you're looking for your dog to have a great time, while also having their needs met and having someone look over them 24/7, this is the place. Adventure Dog Ranch is the only place I'll ever board my dog, despite the extra drive.
Kerri and Steve put dogs first and want them to have be comfortable and have fun while there. I really appreciate that mindset. While other large dog ranched just take any dog, these guys are particular about an evaluation and a first free day. They make it a point to get to know your dog. I am impressed with their attitude. The first time I went it was before a long weekend and they are pretty honest about it and rejected my business. Their argument was there are too many dogs we cannot spend time getting Jilly (our dog) comfortable with this pack. So lets wait and do a 1 day free day care on a weekday and once the dog and us are mutually comfortable you can leave here for overnight boarding. I did exactly that and now Jilly is happy and tired when she goes there. The only problem is the distance. I live in Redmond and its a 1 hour drive one way to get to the ranch. Its a total of 4 hours for 1 day care. So day care just plain does not work. It would certainly work for more than a couple of nights of boarding.
We have a 7 month old puppy who was jumping up on our young children and my husband and I. He was destroying furniture, remote controls, mobile phones, basically anything he could get his paws on. We weren't able to take him for walks to work out the puppy energy because he would totally freeze up when we'd put a leash on him. But we were determined to keep him as he's a part of our family. We decided to have him boarded and trained by professionals. We chose Adventure Dog Ranch based on their outstanding reviews and reasonable prices. Our pup was with Adventure Dog Ranch for 13 days/12 nights, doing their blended board and train program. I'm happy to say he is a brand new dog! He sits and stays on command, can walk on a leash without trying to pull his humans along, and he doesn't jump up on adults nor on children anymore. I can't say enough about Adventure Dog Ranch. We plan to return our pup to them in the future for additional, more advanced training. They are flexible, reasonably priced professionals! A small family-owned and operated business. We highly recommend Adventure Dog Ranch!!!
After extensive research, we landed at this boarding facility due to word of mouth and their highly rated reviews on google. Unfortunately, our horrific experience led us here in hopes to warn others. Upon our initial “meet and greet”, the owners Steve and Carrie seemed like nice dog people. The facility itself seemed a bit run down, but we were willing to give it a try. When it came time to drop drop our 1 1/2 year old dog off to stay for multiple nights, I let Carrie know that he gets anxious sometimes in kennels and to give him his prescription medication IF needed. She proceeded to tell me that she doesn’t believe in medicating dogs, so I gave her the alternative which were canine approved CBD gummies that we rarely give our dog, but keep on hand just in case. For reference, there have only been two instances where we’ve given him 1 gummy and it helped calm him down. Fast forward to picking up our dog 6 days later, and he was completely lethargic with absolutely no energy. Carrie said because he had “too much energy for her elderly group of dogs” she gave him TWO gummies DAILY. Now had she read the directions and our dogs application (where it states his weight), she would have known that for a dog who weighs 45 pounds the recommended dose was one gummy. The sad part was that he had to suffer an overdose of CBD all because he had “too much energy” for her group of dogs at the time of boarding which was NOT what we had told her the gummies were to be used for. Then the nightmare came. After the first night and whole first day of bringing our dog home, he continued to be lethargic and not like his usual self. On the second day, he woke up and began vomiting 7 times within the hour. We were finally able to get him into his regular vet who ran multiple tests, luckily to find out he was okay, but said he could have very well overdosed and was most likely dehydrated because of the amount of gummies that were given. We let Carrie know that this had happened to hopefully prevent her from doing this to another poor dog in the future, but were only told sorry and were left with unexpected vet bills and a very ill dog. Please please please, save yourself a potential nightmare and board your dog elsewhere.
For a company sporting a website straight out of the early 00's, they sure do have a high opinion of themselves. All reputable boarding facilities require rabies and DHPP with the more discerning also requiring Kennel Cough and I think that's fantastic. Most also require an evaluation before hand which I also approve of... But I have yet to find another boarding facility that requires your dog to be ordained by the pope himself to even get an audience with the staff. I would like to shake hands with the one dog immaculate enough to gain entry into these hallowed grounds.
Thank you so much for caring for our dogs when we are gone. At this doggie care the dogs get to play in large fenced areas most of the day. We will always be taking our beloved pooches here. Thank you Adventure Dog ranch.
My golden retriever had a wonderful first experience at Northwest Dog Retreat! The facility is very clean, secure and all the dogs appeared to be well taken care of. I went to the property in person with my dog a few days prior to booking him and I was very impressed with the setup and how well all the dogs appeared. I received multiple pictures every day that he was boarded and he was clearly very happy to be there and make new friends. He was pared with other appropriate sized/demeanor dogs during their play time and when I picked him up he was very happy and tired. I highly recommend Northwest Dog Retreat and will book again whenever we go out of town. Thanks so much!!
Leaving our beloved pets is always a sort of love-hate situation. We hate that we cannot always bring him with us when we travel, or have to spend time away from him due to our medical stays. But we love that he has a safe and loving home away from home. NorthWest Dog Retreat is the only place where we want to leave our dog 🐶 when we cannot bring him with us. Patrick and Carol have always been loving 🥰 towards him (and us) whenever we have interacted.
I have been boarding my dog here numerous times. Great, clean facility. They ask all the right questions ahead of time on an online survey. My Maddie for example can not join any dogs in the large outdoor playpen. Inside is air-conditioned and the kennels each have a smaller dog run. Also did some training with Carol and Thanks to her my Maddie is now a joy to walk with on the leash.
We have boarded our Blue Heeler with Carol and Patrick at NWDR two to three times per year over the last seven years and have always had the best experience with them. The facility is clean, modern and obviously as well cared for as the dogs they board. Both Carol and Patrick learned our dog's quirks (she's a heeler, so yes she has quirks...) and treat her like their own. I can't recommend Northwest Dog retreat highly enough.
Facility looks great on paper & Patrick & Carol Bianchi say all the right things——- But when it comes down to using common sense or having any type of compassion, they are severely lacking! They are directly responsible for the death of our grandsons, 5 1/2 year-old female St. Bernard, Annie. She was perfectly fine and they left her too run around outside on July 16, 2024 when there had been heat advisories all of the past week and the temperature was 87°. Annie suffered severe heat stroke and her temperature was so high that the thermometer at 110 could not even register anymore. To add insult to injury they in no way are accepting responsibility or accountability. ………
Beware! A beautiful dog died a painful death at this kennel due to extreme neglect (see other reviews). No excuses. Vote with your dollar and go elsewhere. The owner will only understand when they start losing money. *And to everyone-do extensive research before boarding your dog anywhere.* Many of these places rely on untrained, overworked and undervalued (by the owner) employees, and cut corners wherever possible. No wonder more and more people opt for trusted dog sitters.
A sweet, loving, HEALTHY, Saint Bernard died due to pure negligence while in their care. They have yet to acknowledge the family, apologize, refund any money, and emails go unanswered when asking to see camera footage. They are awful, and heartless human beings who should not be in the business of running Northwest Dog Retreat or any business where animals are in their care. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not take your fur babies here.
Shame on northwest dog retreat. Let a dog die from heatstroke under their care. Took no responsibility. Disturbing to even think how many people bring their babies here and trust this place when they are responsible for a dogs death!
Lack of morals to animals, your loving pet will be stored away and beat like they are nothing and you will be told that you’re in the wrong. Worst people to deal with, if you want your loving pet to die this is the place.
Northwest dog retreat takes really good care of my dog. I have a German hair pointer and in his puppy phase he was a handful. There where able to handle him and put him with the correct crowd of other dogs
