Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!

Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.

Rebecca was the best pet sitter ever! Our chocolate lab, Kona, fell in love with her instantly and loved every minute of being around her. She was extremely attentive to Kona, taking him for daily walks and she did a great job of sending us updates, video clips and photos. Jeremy and Brooke were fantastic! We have a senior dog and a over hyper pittie. They gave Daisy her meds and had lengthy walks with Fin to burn off some of his energy. Thomas did an amazing job! We were very pleased with how well he was able to care for our 3 active Boston terriers. He was able to handle all 3 on a walk and feed them their special meal everyday. He even ventured out and took them to the beach which is no easy task for 3 excited dogs. Thomas did a great job communicating before and during the stay. Bring your dog here if you want them to socialize with other dogs in a safe way, if you want your dog to be too happy, if you want them to have too much fun in the pool, if you want them to get too healthy from exercise, and if you want them to have too much love from the employees. I just wanted to thank Wingmont so much for taking such good care of Rj! I was so nervous about leaving him and letting someone else care for him but they did an exceptional job! They didn’t mind my calls to check in, kept me informed and are the most friendly people. Rj left there very happy and healthy! They read him, did what he was comfortable with and he enjoyed every moment. He will be visiting there again in a few months for another week stay. Best boarding in the greater Richmond area. Been taking our pup here for years and he has always come back exhausted (from playing) and well cared for. Prices are super reasonable and the staff has always been cheery and helpful.

Love Wingmont! Our Weimaraner, Mei, has been coming to Wingmont for boarding since she was a puppy. The staff is always very kind, sensitive to some of her separation anxiety, and does a great job helping me to feel better about the boarding process too! Super happy with our experience so far. We experimented with taking our Golden, Amory, for an overnight and will definitely be taking him back for longer visits. Everyone was very cordial and they had no problem working with our schedule to let us drop off early and pick up a little late. Amory even came back to us with a cool little handkerchief adornment too. Keep up the great work guys!
Al loves it here! He loves the staff & they love him. He loves playing with the other puppies. It's the 1st time that He's willing to leave my side. We get to a certain point on the road and he knows where he's going, he stands up wags his tail and is ready to get out as if he knows the rest of the way to Wingmont! He is treated like a King! Some days I think he's not going to come home with me. I see him and he has a scarf around his neck he's prancing around and he says bye to the staff, it's adorable!

This was our first experience using Calypso Kennels. We will definitely be using them again. Our dogs have never been to a kennel before and having the peace of mind that they were safe and well taken care of is priceless.
This was my first time boarding Lucy with Calypso. Staff gave us a tour as requested before boarding her showing all the areas with explanations of the use. We liked the concept of Lucy having her own kennel and outside run - while she is ok around other dogs, it's not her norm. She would much rather be around people - here they take the dogs on "potty break walks" and provide options for yard time (ie, a large fenced area where the dog can run free/play/do zoomies). They have several options you can add to the daily room fee to tailor the pups visit. Lucy stayed 5 days. Calypso provided a verbal and a written summary of her stay (activity level, how she ate, any noted bowel changes, what she seemed to enjoy - for Lucy it was lying in the sun on her external run). We rarely board Lucy - we take her most everywhere we travel. It's great to have a place available near home that pays good attention to her, provides her with a safe environment (ex, air conditioning, back up generators in case of a power outage, daily cleaned kennel, etc) and keeps us informed.
Calypso kennels took very good care of my three best friends while I was out of town. The staff was very attentive to their special needs and Lilo, Stitch, and Marty McFly seemed very happy and content while in their care. Thank you Calypso for taking care of my buddies.
My cat came home with no lingering spiteful behavior. That tells me that she had some solitude. Being a senior cat, she likes to have a place to curl up and be left alone. Unless she wants attention! The staff was super nice. The dropping off and picking was very easy. I would definitely recommend Calypso.
I used Calypso Kennels for the first time last week. I boarded my dog Thursday -Monday. The staff was very nice and professional. The facility is maintained very well. They took very care of my dog and even gave him a bath! I plan to use them for future boarding and daycare.
Calypso Kennels took great care of our feline and kept us well informed when we called to check on him. If they see a concern, that call to let us know. This was Achmed’s third time of being boarded and they took really good care of him. We highly recommend Calypso Kennels and we will continue to use them for boarding.
Calypso is such a nice place! I used to take my dogs there all the time and the employees are the best. I now take my cats there and they everybody is equally as amazing. I believe they provide great care for my pets and will be my go-to for pet boarding.
We are very confident that our dogs are well cared for! The staff are friendly and cooperative. They go out of their way to try and make sure you are happy and comfortable with leaving your pets with them. The groomers do a great job as well!
