Kee was completely wonderful. She took excellent care of our two dogs Coco and Dennis, and obviously created a special bond over a short time with them I have no doubt she gave them lots of love and attention while we were away. She learned their routines quickly and provided detailed updates with any issues that came up, and learned quickly from any difficulties she came across. We got to spend some time with her as well, and she is obviously a very warm, kind, respectful, reliable and bright person. I really enjoyed getting to know her a little bit and would most definitely have her back to house sit again.

Leonie took good care of Dara, she is clearly experienced with cats and they bonded right away. I would have preferred some more live communication around Dara's eating habits and more coordination on what to do when she doesn't eat. Also the litter was not very clean, I suppose Leonie was not familiar with the type of sand, which could have also been addressed with clearer communication.

Janis and her husband Dan were beyond phenomenal! Communication was great leading up to their arrival, especially with coordinating arrival and departure times. And during the sit, I got lots of picture updates throughout of how Isabel was doing. I could tell from the pictures how comfortable and happy my dog was hanging out with Janis and Dan and getting all the pets and attention. Coming home, everything was left so clean and organized. I definitely recommend them as pet sitters as they clearly took such good care of both my pup and my home.

Leslie consistently demonstrated outstanding communication skills, both initially and throughout the entire process, and I would gladly give her more stars if possible. Leslie arrived as scheduled, and instantly the animals fell in love with her and Bennie. Our cats love our dogs but usually won't come in the house when a strange dog is here but they didnt even hesitate to come meet Bennie. Bennie was very calm and a true gentleman. Leslie sent pictures throughout the sit reassuring us the gang were all getting along and enjoying her and Bennie's company. She read through the welcome guide before we left as well as we showed her around. It was very nice getting the chance to know her a bit before we ledt the following morning. We felt very comfortable knowing our home and pets were in good hands. It is very apparent when you meet Leslie that she truly does love animals. When our Molly decided to hide, Leslie called us right away because she feared Molly may have gotten spooked by a firework going off in the neighborhood and escaped under the gate. I felt so bad for Leslie because she blamed herself because it was on her watch. I have trackers on all my pets and it turned out that Molly was still in the house and just hiding really well. She can curl up.pretty small. Lealie took our Lab to check the walking route and see if Molly was there. When I called and told her Molly had to be at the house because her tracker showed her there, she returned to our home and Molly hreeted her as she came in the front door. I was very appreciative of Leslie's phone call though because she didnt wait hours to call, she searched the yard and house and called right away. We decided to cut our trip short a day and asked Leslie if she minded if we came home a day early. We let her know we didnt expect her to leave early and made sure she was comfortable with our decision. As a pet parent, it is imperative that we remember the sitters are also on vacation and we didnt want to intrude on her time. As it turned out, we ended up stopping by the ER on our way home where my husband was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. Unfortunately we had both the RV and my car and I needed to figure out how to get them home. I reached out to Leslie who offerred to give me a ride back to the hospital after I dropped o e vehicle off at home so I could retrieve the second vehicle. BTW, the surgeon was able to repair my hubbys aneurysm and he will be coming home soon. Leslie was a comfort during this frightening time and even stayed an extra day to help out and care for our home and pets. She was a teue blessing. Leslie left the house spotless along with so.e fresh flowers for me when I got back from visiting my husband. If you get an opportunity to host Leslie in your home, rest assured your home and pets will be well loved and well taken care of. We.would welcome.Leslie back anytime. She is not just a pet sitter, she is a new trusted friend.

Once again, having AnnaMarie take care of our pups was absolutely the right choice!! Her frequent updates, care of our house and fur babies was stellar! Although the dogs were thrilled to see us when we returned, as we chatted with Annemarie, we could see them continuing to go to her for affection and cuddles. Milly was a lovely house sitter and I’d highly recommend her. She submitted a really great application and after a FaceTime chat it was an easy decision to choose her for our sit. She is the youngest sitter we’ve chosen but she has a maturity beyond her years and it was clear she had so much experience with animals that we felt confident leaving her in charge of our menagerie. Olive our young Pom has never been left with a sitter before so we were a little worried about how she would be but Milly was so patient, gentle and kind that she quickly won Olive over. So much so, on the morning Milly was leaving ,Olive would only let Milly put her harness on her before going for a walk. All the animals were perfectly cared for while we were away and we returned home to happy pets and a tidy house. Milly’s communication from our first contact and right through the sit was great and she even sent a lovely video of the dogs having fun on their walk. I’d have Milly back to housesit for us again anytime.

Kennels are super nice! Dogs have access to temperature controlled indoors and outdoors at all times. There is also a large turn out area for dogs to run around. They are always clean. Joe treats your dogs like one of his own. He is attentive and loving. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else.
Joe is amazing. He loves dogs and REALLY understands them. My dog goes to 2nd Home twice a week for daycare, as well as staying overnight when I go out of town. She can't wait to get out of the car when we get there. She adores Joe and has a great time playing with other dogs. Joe even sends me texts, photos, and videos, so I know how she's doing. What a relief and a joy to have such a perfect place for my baby. It truly is her second home!

We were delighted to find Second Home Boarding. Our rescue Golden Retriever, Sam, can become quite anxious at times and a little feisty towards other big male dogs. Joe’s knowledge of dog psychology and behavior ensures that Sam is calm and relaxed during his regular visits to the boarding kennels. As well as taking great care of Sam, Joe has also provided us with good advice about how to deal with Sam when he becomes anxious at home or while we are out walking. Joe’s great service ensures that we also always relax while Sam is at the kennel, knowing that he is very well cared for throughout his time with Second Home Boarding.
We were super pleased with the great care 2nd Home Dog Boarding provided for our dogs! We rented the “Guest House” for our three large dogs, which included a good sized air conditioned shed and a large, private, shaded yard. Joe is a dog whisperer, and all three of our pups took to him immediately. Joe sent us text message updates throughout their stay which provided us with peace of mind while we were away. Our pups were happy and well when we picked them up. We will definitely use 2nd Home again!
Joe is awesome! He took excellent care of our Ruby while we were away. He was very communicative and friendly. He is not just a "babysitter", he truly understands dogs and their behaviors. Ruby was well taken care of from the moment she arrived and we were worry-free on our trip. When we picked Ruby up, it was obvious that she was at ease and happily exhausted from playing and running around! 2nd Home best place to leave our doggos! Joe is very professional, friendly and energetic. He took very good care of our 2 boxers while we were away for 6 days. They are a little pricey, but very worth it! One of my furbaby's has special needs, and they are very accommodating with her medication. Update 1+ years later: I'm still very satisfied with this facility. They take great care of my special needs dog and my spicy dachshund. For me they are worth the cost. Highly recommend!
I have two puppies and they have a lot of energy. I had brought them to kennels in the area and when we picked them up, they seemed sad and also had A TON of pent up energy. They’d go wild for days afterwards. So I did some research and decided to try the Pampered Pooch. They do require a lot of paperwork from your vet but it’s a good thing to make sure the pups are safe. They also take your dog for a 4 hour temperament test to see if they’re a good fit for the place. (Also a good thing). Seems like a lot of work, however, it’s well worth it. This is the second time I’ve brought them while we are on vacation and they come home exhausted and happy. They get to play with the other dogs for hours everyday so they’re not pent up. The staff is friendly. It’s the best place to bring your pets around the Lancaster/Palmdale area. Thank you Pampered Pooch!
I wish the staff were friendlier. Some times when I call to book an appointment I feel like I’m bothering them and they’re rushing me. It makes me feel off about booking with them. I know my dogs typically leave there happy, so that’s a positive. I just feel anxious ever trying to speak to staff. EDIT: I’ve lowered this review another star because I’m very disappointed in the bathing of my dogs. They charged $68 per dog to literally just bath my dog. No brushing, no nails done, no ear cleaning. I know this as I’m a retired dog groomer and I know my dogs coat and what a fresh bath looks like. For that price that all should definitely be included in the service. It’s also a mandatory service when leaving your dog for more than 3 nights which I understand… but the service itself is the very bare minimum. My dogs also drink a LOT of water when they return home, as if they haven’t drank all day. It’s all odd to me and doesn’t seem right.
Our puppy Laika LOVES it here. Today when I picked her up from daycare, she didn’t want to leave. This girl wants all play all day, and Pampered Pooch delivers! We love the text/picture updates when traveling, and trust that she’s always in good hands. Can’t recommend enough.
A friend recommended and what a clean friendly place it is. Had the dogs(2) nails trimmed. It went quick, quietly-the dogs didn't fuss- and the price was reseasonable. There were people coming in to drop off their dog for an over night stay including instructions for their fur-baby. I asked her about her opinion of this place and WOW was she full of opinions, lol. But, they were ALL great opinions. That made me feel much better about this place.
TL;DR: Negligent to dogs' needs resulting in a potentially dangerous environment combined with poor staff attitudes. I saw the great reviews and had hopes for this place. I set up an evaluation for my dog for daycare and they told me to have all the vaccine records ready for when I arrive. I think the $18 they charge for that is a cash grab, but that's ok. I called ahead of time before I pulled up and asked what the procedure was for me to bring in my dog as he has some leash aggression and I wanted to avoid a full waiting room. The lady that was there didn't answer the question and instead said rather curtly I needed to provide all the records. I explained I was told to email them when I arrived so they could print them then and have them. She said fine and just told me to ring the doorbell. When I arrived, there was a dog in one of the front windows right beside the door that was going nuts, causing my dog to get very agitated. The lady did not address this dog that's freaking out and instead opened the door to let me in. There was yet another dog in a kennel in the lobby who started barking and again started riling up my dog. Again this lady did not seem to care about all this chaos and instead handed me a clipboard and told me in a snarky manner that the email address is written down and I need to fill out all the forms front and back. Since there was no place to go inside to fill these out where my dog would not be reactive, and I couldn't go back outside to the car because the other dog is going nuts in the window, I just said it wouldn't work out and left. My issue is if they care this little about 1) my dog's anxiety during this process and 2) the other dogs that are clearly stressed and freaking out, why would I trust them with my little guy? The bad attitude of the lady that was there was just the cherry on top. First impressions are important, and this place was very disappointing, and potentially dangerous for dogs that need some extra attention.
My challenged rescue dog did very well here. She isn't very well with other little ones but felt comfortable with so many around. The Staff was above and beyond great! Not only did they take care of my Wild girl, but also made the experience smooth with ME. They truly Love what they do and respect every pets human..... They are my only pet boarding in the AV

BRING YOUR PUPS HERE FOR A STAY! Wonderful caring staff. Clean, professional, VERY thorough on care (foods, meds, toys, beds, blankets, treats, playtime and type of...). Dedicated. Was visiting friends and wanted to make sure pups away from firework on New Years. The only sort of negative was had to pay for two full days due to holiday. Outside of that? GREAT!

Kimberly has provided our family with expert care over the last 10 years! We have used her team for both short trips and long trips and never worry when we’re away from our pets. Our dog has special needs and anxiety and Kimberly is amazing with her. She creates a meal calendar with every detail regarding our pets’ preferences. She sends texts and pictures at every visit and leaves a log with times and notes. I recommend Kimberly for anyone! But especially those with pets who have special needs, medications or anxiety.
We want to share our experience with Fun Fur U-In home Pet Care. Kimberly has been taking of our pets for many years!! We had five babies, 2 dogs and 3 cats and she watched our cats when we went on a vacations. Also our dogs when we were gone all day. She is so caring and I loved it when she would put on funny/cute hats on our pets and send pictures. I loved it!!! I’m one of those pet parents that don’t leave their pets with ANYONE!!!! I know my animals are in GREAT hands and I’m very confident they will be taken care of. Sadly we lost our 5 babies over the last 2 years and she was there to help even when they were elderly and ill. Kimberly and her staff at FunFurU Petsitting are hands down the best pet sitting team within the Antelope Valley! I had a challenging work assigment which required me to travel to Oklahoma city nearly every other week for about a year and a half and I knew that even though the job sucked, my lovely fur kids Joey and Maddie were well cared for and loved while I was away. Kimberly sends daily photos when she visits where it was obvious my kitties were thouroughly enjoying the love and attention Kimberly provides, but also had the secondary effect of lifting my spirits while I was away. I found Kimberly to be a caring and professional individual when she took on the insulin injections for our "adopted" Yorkie. I needed to be out-of-state and my husband is not medically able to do these injections. Kimberly entered our home showing love and attention to all 3 of our dogs who loved having her around. She then performed the injection twice a day for 7 days and additionally spent time with my husband to give him a little attention as well. I truly appreciated her attention to detail, her commitment to quality of service and care, as well as her positive attitude. I will continue using her in the future as needed.
Kimberly has been taking care of my boys (shar peis) for years. KIMBERLY is simply the best. She goes out of her way to ensure they are well taken care of. Suzie accommodated our family within the same day after learning that our original car sitter is not able to care for our two cats during our vacation. We recently had the pleasure of having Fetch take care of our pet Sahara to be apart of our wedding ceremony and care for her the day of our wedding. This was our first time using anyone but our neighbors to take care of our animals while on vacation so we were a little apprehensive at first. After meeting Suzie we were impressed with her genuine care for our two dogs as well as her professionalism and attention to detail. The Fetch app provided us with the opportunity to list any special needs, emergency contacts or any other instructions we felt were warranted. Suzie provided daily update to the app including several pics along with a narrative describing the activities of her visit. She was also very responsive to any message we sent to her. This provided us with reassurance and peace of mind that enabled us to fully enjoy our time away. We will definitely use her for future trips and recommend her to our friends.
Suzie and her wonderful staff took care of our 3 dogs while we were away at the holidays. They were amazing. They took the time to get to know each dog and adjust to their particular needs—my senior girl wanting gentle pets and attention, while the younger energetic ones wanted their walks and playtime. Suzie is the best! I have used her services several times this year to watch my dog Jasper. I feel safe leaving him in her care, she provides daily updates through the app which gives me peace of mind when I’m away. She even logs their walks, feedings and bathroom trips. Every time I pick him up from her care he is in a great mood, I can tell how well he was spoiled during his time with her. The boarding costs are a bit spendy but she is by far the best dog boarding option in Santa Clarita, I will definitely be utilizing her services in the future.

Gabriela is extremely accommodating with our scheduling needs. It’s nice to have drop-in visit options so our pets can be home where they are most comfortable. She stays in good communication and gives regular updates with photos. We’ve got a full house with 3 dogs, 2 cats, and she even checks on our chickens and collects eggs! Highly recommend.
This was first separation for me and my dog of 9 years who was never socialized as we are old and mostly stay home. I was scared but had to get away. I had great references regarding Gabriela pet sitting and after 9 days away we were all happy on return.. she sent pictures and updates and I am so happy and so was my little dog Mona. We have had the opportunity to have my fur baby Poppy stay with Gabriel and believe me I was nervous to leave her anywhere. Gabriela is very professionally trained and has been very special to Poppy. She gets excited to seeing her every time we need to leave . Highly recommend and such a relief to know how much Poppy is loved.
Gabriela is a very caring person who took care of our two dogs for a week in her home while we were on vacation. Gabriella is so great with my pets! Even the shy ones come out when she gets here. She spends time with them instead of just dropping food. I have 2 dogs and 4 cats, plus I foster kitties as well. Lots of different diets and meds and she takes care of them with no issues. She has been able to accommodate me even with little notice. All around great work.

I was a little apprehensive about leaving my baby, because she is just 5 months old. I got daily pics and she seemed to have made herself at home. Was very happy with how well she was taken care off. Will be using them again in the future.

I would not recommend leaving your pup here! I specifically informed them my Pug does not do well in heat and they told me they have a a/c. When I picked him up today I asked them how did he do and the girl at the front desk just said he did okay that he worried them a bit and had to mist him with water since he was hot. They wouldn’t have had to do any of that if they had a a/c like they told me they had. My poor dog came out all traumatized and was over heating!!! 1 hour later and he is still not okay!!! The staff isn’t welcoming either! Horrible service all around!!!!!
We love the boarding. We took our 9 month pup and she did great. I love that they have private play time. We have gone twice now and both times the staff was friendly. The prices are reasonable. I would recommend for your dog while you are away.
This place is amazing. Brought our husky here for three days for an incredible price. Also had them groom her, which includes nail clipping, hair cutting, and bathing. All for just $55.00. Update! The prices have gone up due to inflation. But this place continues to do a good job. 👍
After 2 visits my dog has found his favorite spot to board. He's always happy to pull in and get dropped off.

I think it's extremely important that I inform everyone that is considering boarding their dog at Dogs Day Inn this information. I was boarding my two dogs there for 8 days and on the 7th day I received a phone call from Karen, the owner of Dogs Day Inn, at 9:30 am to inform me their boarding facility was broken into and that my dog Sandi was missing. When I received the phone call, I was in Hawaii and I felt completely helpless being so far away from home because I wasn't able to help find Sandi. Karen told me she was the only dog missing, which I find strange because my other dog Macy was in the same kennel, but thankfully Macy was still there. Karen informed me that she reported the break in to the Apple Valley Sheriff's Department and also informed Apple Valley Animal Shelter my dog was missing. I asked if she reported Sandi missing to the other animal shelters and she said no because Sandi went missing in Apple Valley. That does not make sense to me why she didn't think it was important enough to call Hesperia Animal Shelter as well. I did go to the AV Sheriff Dept to pick up the incident report and Karen reported the break in and Sandi missing at 7:30 am, but didn't tell me until 9:30 am. I'm trying to understand why she waited 2 hours to tell me Sandi was missing. I could have had my friends looking for Sandi 2 hours sooner if Karen had told me when she realized Sandi was missing. Karen told me that an unknown suspect went through Sandi and Macy's kennel to go to the office and that Sandi must have ran away through the open gate. I'm having a hard time believing that Sandi would run away but my other dog Macy wouldn't because they both were in the same kennel. The bottom line is that Sandi would have NEVER went missing if the owner had the kennels and the gates locked. The doggie doors are closed at night so the dogs can't go outside but they are not locked so that means anyone can open the doggie doors and either let a dog/dogs out or steal as many as they want. There is no way anyone should be able to walk through an unlocked boarding facility that is being paid and entrusted to care for a family's pet and in most peoples' opinion, family member. Also, they do not have cameras so I'm unable to know exactly what happened to Sandi. They also do not have any type of alarm system. Another thing that is upsetting and very inconsiderate of the owner is that the only time I was contacted was when she called me to tell me Sandi was missing. She never once called me to ask if I needed any help finding Sandi or if there was anything else she could do for me. I don't know what she is doing to help us find our precious family member other than she made flyers that I asked her to do and she gave them to me so I could post them. When my friend went to Dogs Day Inn to help look for Sandi she told me that none of the workers were outside helping to find Sandi except the owner. My friend thought that was odd because they were acting like it was no big deal. All of Karen's employees should have been out looking for Sandi. This has been extremely hard for my family and our other dog Macy. It's been 2 weeks since Sandi has been missing and all I want is to have my baby back home where she belongs. It is an awful feeling to find out on vacation that one of your dogs is missing when you have entrusted a business to take care of both of your dogs/your family members. I wish I could really know what truly happened to Sandi. The validity of the story from the owner as to what happened just seems very suspicious to say the least. Sandi has been missing since 1/21/2020 according to the owner.

Ken Neill Kennels is amazing! I have an unsocial Great Dane who we have never been comfortable enough to have boarded anywhere. Ken Neill is the only place I feel comfortable leaving our baby with. They are very nice, accommodating and confident when handling our dog, and are always understanding when we call to check in to see how our dane is doing! The boarding kennels and play area are very clean and large enough for our Dane to feel comfortable! KEN NEILL KENNELS IS THE BEST!!!!
Super friendly staff, nice kennels. Our dog was well taken care of and we really appreciate the service. Each animal has their own space, with walls and a roof. There are misters on warm days and the animals get person attention every day. Very happy with the staff, facility and service
First time boarding my dog, ever! This place felt secure and comfortable. Kennel is outdoor but has a "partial indoor" shelter for cold nights. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. My dog came home happy.
The employees are the nicest friendly people and the owner is very helpful. Prices are too low, they should charge more nowadays. It was the best experience ever for the dog loved going there and came back without any problems. There was not a single issue with scheduling appointments. Need to upgrade prices and take other options for payment, otherwise I give them all thanks for taking excellent care of my dog. Best place for bringing your pets.

Best dog grooming in town. We've trusted our dogs with Kadie for years, and she's always treated them wonderfully and done an exceptional job grooming them.
My little doggo was having a difficult time and they were simply awesome in making her comfortable and reaching out to me with their concerns.
Muddy Paws is a safe and fun place to take your pup for boarding or daycare. The climate controlled facility is always clean & secure as is the play yard, and their fees are extremely reasonable. The staff is very caring and they go above & beyond to make each pup feel special and show them love like they were their own.
Boarded my dog here for just a couple of nights. She was fine and seemed happy. For informational purposes: Keep in mind 2 things: this is an indoor facility, so I think my dog just didn't poop for 2 days as indoors can be a bit difficult for house-broke dogs, lol. 2nd, they charge extra if you want updates with a picture each day. I have never been charged extra for that, and I didn't even realize it until I picked her up. So, that's just odd. Otherwise, it is the most reputable place in Ridgecrest, and yes, I would trust them with my dog again.
It's so nice to have a safe, reliable, and fun place to leave my dogs when I go away! Muddy Paws goes above and beyond to make sure you and your pets are comfortable while you're apart. I love the add ons and seeing photos/videos of the dogs having fun while I'm away makes leaving them not so hard❤️
We have boarded our dogs with Muddy Paws several times and we couldn’t be happier with the quality of services they provide. They are friendly, responsive, and have a great facility. Our dogs are happy to be there and always come home having been very well cared for.

Do not bring your dogs here. I hate to say it, because the owners seem nice, but this place is not well taken care of. The smell of urine is prominent upon entering and especially in the “office” which is more like a storage closet. What was most disturbing is that most of their kennels do not have an indoor section for the animals. They say there are “shade” trees, but our poor dog came back with burnt paws after only 1 day there. We had to apply aquaphor on her paw pads. They were so red and burned. Also, we arrived a day early to pick her up only to find that they did not place the blankets we brought for her in her kennel yet! She had been there for over 24 hours and they didn’t take a second to put her blankets in the kennel, nor did they give her any of the bully sticks we brought for her, which should have been 1 per day. Our dog was exhausted and did not have a positive demeanor like she usually does when we bring her back from a kennel stay. She also STUNK of urine and dirt. We had to bathe her immediately upon returning home. We only came here because our other kennel was all booked up. I was very disappointed from my experience with Smith Kennels and will not be bringing my animals back here.
I have used Smith Kennels several times since 2009. The owners live onsite. On a trip in early July we boarded are 3 dogs and a cat. We were worried about the heat and the dogs because of the 110 degree heat which lasted for several days. The dogs were comfortable and had the option of staying inside in the cool portion of the run or going outside. (There are different sized runs for different sized dogs and the kennels are in a tree covered area which provides ample shade.) We knew the cat was on his last leg and his conditioning was worsening and let the owners know that. Smith Kennels called us the day we were headed home and let us know he was not eating and did not want to get up. They stayed open late so we could pick him up and take him home when we arrived back in the area. There rates are very reasonable and they provide great services. I get the feeling this is not so much a business for them, it is their life.
Very nice, polite and professional people. They always make sure customers are happy. We recently dropped off an application to adopt a Miniature Schnauzer and are currently waiting to hear back.
Had to go into the hospital for a knee replacement and needed to kennel my new pup; I was a bit concerned because my pup has only been with me for about 10 months and has a bit of separation anxiety from being abandoned running loose in the desert. The Smiths took great care of my furball, she seemed to be just fine. My expected 4 day stay turned into over 2 weeks as the hospital sent me to a rehab hospital to get my new knee working some before sending me home. I highly recommend Smith Kennels if you need them

THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF MY DOG. They put a 5lb maltese who had just been neutered in a concrete run with no blankets, no food no water and access to the outside portion of the run with chain link fencing with huge gaps. My poor dog vanished within a couple of hours and they were so disorganized with their paperwork I was not even notified until the next day when we went to pick up! For all I know they gave the dog to someone or it was killed on their property and they're covering it up. Either way my sweet little guy is dead I'm sure and their negligence caused it. DO NOT USE THEM!
It's a very nice place. It's been here for many years. The owners are nice they're in their 90s. It seems like they're always full so that is excellent they must be doing something right
