Maria took care of our senior, three-legged kitty Moo while we were away for thanksgiving and I knew from the start our beloved boy would be in good hands. She was very responsive and made the entire process painless. Our cat settled in right away, despite us being nervous about how he would handle it. He loved Maria instantly and we were able to enjoy our trip knowing he was well taken care of and loved. In addition, we were updated daily with sweet photos, and the rates are very reasonable! Highly recommend and will use Maria again if we ever need pet care while we are away. She is an animal lover and great at what she does!

I've been hiring Maria for pet sitting of my two kitties for about a year now. She is wonderful with my kitties and they love her! Maria has pet sat for me while on extended trips, Most recently though, she swooped in and saved the day while I had a medical emergency and was hospitalized. I was out of kitty litter and on my way to buy more when I had to go to the ER. I contacted Maria from the hospital and she was able to pick up litter and feed my cats. I don't know what I would have done without her! I've also boarded my cats before I found Fur The Love of Your Pet. Its definitely reassuring to know that my cats can stay in the comfort of our home and are in good hands with Maria. She is reliable, shows up at agreed upon times, and always sends a photo or video at each visit. Maria is someone that you can trust and rely on. Her love of pets is unmatched.

Maria is fabulous! She’s reliable and always makes sure to send us updates on our sweet baby girl, complete with reports and funny pictures. I appreciate her updates and her attention to details like how many times my pup goes to the bathroom and how often she eats. Have been using Maria for about 4-5 years now so this review is long overdue. Maria does a great job looking after our kitties every time we go out of town. She is flexible and easy going and most importantly an animal lover. I could tell the minute I met her. I have been pleased each time I use her. Her services also include: picking up the mail, watering plants, food water play time with your pet, leaving daily notes, and she even texts us pic updates! Leaving my kitties for a long time is hard enough, but knowing they are in good hands with Maria means the world to us! You won't go wrong with her.

I travel quite a bit for work and have three cats and relatively new to San Diego and did a Yelp search and found Fur The Luv of Your Pets which had great reviews. Maria also had exceptional reviews as well as credentials which was a great start. She scheduled an appointment in advance if my first trip to meet my babies in person. Our initial meeting was amazing as all three of them instantly walked up to her to say hello; this typically does not happen. She has a gentle, kind way with animals and she and I built great rapport from our first meeting. In addition, Maria is very knowledgeable and provides helpful recommendations and she keeps me informed of how Mason, Malloy and Blue are doing. Maria will send me a pic of them; which reassures me and I have complete trust and confidence they are in good hands. Our family LOVES Maria & Fur the Love of Your Pet!! She has been taking care of our fur babies for almost 4 years now and she is part of the family. Our dogs adore her, and run to greet her every time she comes to the door, which is a definite sign to me that she is good to them!. She is loving with them and very responsible with our one baby who has allergies and needs special supplements and care. When we discovered Fur the Love Of Your Pet it came from staff in our long time vet’s office. What a find! For the last 2 years Maria, whose soul is deeply entangled with her furry friends, has reliably fed, played with, and handled other well-being duties as needed by our kitties. She was invaluable when taking on end-of-life maintenance fluids and medications for our 18 yr old cat while we needed to be out of town. She has kept up in her formal training as a vet tech. Each visit is documented real time over her cell phone to us showing a gps map with her current location, a brief description of our kitty’s health along with a photo, and the time checking into the house and leaving the house. She has good communication skills, good attention to the cat’s needs, and a real love for her furry charges. Do not hesitate to trust your pet to Maria!

We absolutely love Wags and Ruffs! Our dog has been going there for daycare about 2-6 times a month, and we also use their overnight boarding services multiple times a year. The care and attention they provide to the doggos is truly exceptional. It's clear that everyone at Wags and Ruffs genuinely adores the dogs and goes above and beyond to make sure they're happy, entertained, and safe. Their overnight boarding is especially remarkable—unlike other places, the dogs aren't put in crates. Instead, they all sleep together in one room filled with cozy dog beds and cots, and a staff member stays in the room overnight with them. This special touch really sets Wags and Ruffs apart and makes us feel so comfortable leaving our dog in their care. One of our favorite aspects is the twice-daily "report cards" they send, complete with photos! It's so reassuring to see how our dog is doing, who he's playing with, and how he's behaving throughout the day. We've never once had to worry when he's in their care. Wags and Ruffs has become an essential part of our family’s dog care routine, and we can't recommend them highly enough!

Jenny and her team at Wags & Ruffs accommodated my dog Caesar for daycare and boarding on very short notice. She was incredibly helpful getting setup over the phone, scheduling the appointment and coordinating drop-off and pick-up. The report cards with pictures every morning and night are a huge bonus they do, not every daycare/boarding place makes the effort to do this. Just picked up my dog from her first long overnight stay at Wags & Ruffs, and I’m really impressed with the service! We had to rearrange our travel plans a few times and they were really responsive and accommodating. The daily report cards are so cute and definitely made me feel like my dog was loved and cared for while she was there. They have all the dogs pass temperament and health checks, so I feel comfortable that none of the dogs she’s playing with are aggressive or making her sick. Finally, an attendant sleeps with the dogs every night, so my dog still got to sleep and cuddle with a human (her favorite thing) even when we were gone! Thanks Wags & Ruffs!

I have been using Wags & Ruffs for daycare and boarding for almost three years and my dog LOVES it! The staff sends out detailed report cards (with photos!!) daily and treat my pup like one of their own. They also offer enrichment or play sessions, grooming, training, and more! I will continue to be a repeat customer!

Could not recommend Wags & Ruffs more! Our 6 month old puppy loves other dogs and this is the safest, cleanest, most fun environment for her to enjoy playtime and learn important socialization skills! We have also added some extra training sessions which have been amazing for our pup as well. The facility is very clean and the staff is so kind and very educated. Each day I am provided with a detailed report card and pictures of my pup having an absolute blast! We always look forward to going to Wags & Ruffs!

This review is LONG overdue! I’m the founder of a very large dog rescue and Id consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to dog care. I’ve been to many doggy daycares in town and no where compares to Wags&Ruffs! My dog is there several days a week and cannot wait to get there when she sees where we’re heading. From the incredible staff who treat your pup as their own, the amazing owner Jen, the overwhelming and generous support they provide to rescues, the fun space, trainers, groomer- I could go on and on! I trust them blindly and know that my pup is in the best hands when she is there. They also send the cutest report cards and pictures that always make me smile. Truly one of a kind place and I feel so fortunate to have found them! Do yourself and your pup a favor and head over there and check it out!

Our little guy loves Wags & Ruffs. They’re simply the best. I love getting his daily report card with pictures and our little doggo is obsessed with all the staff. He especially loves getting to go on pack walks or doing training with Julia & Ashley. He comes home tired in the best way; we can tell he just loved his day at W&R every time.

Was on vacation in San Diego, we heard it was a dog-friendly town and it was. We hung out with her most days. Wags and Ruffs was there the 2 days we wanted to do some no-dogs allowed stuff like the San Diego Zoo. We registered online, brought her in for a temperament test and she got to stay the whole day. Then we brought her again to get some shopping done. The staff was wonderful, they took great care of her and sent us report cards with pictures and info on how she was doing. I can't say enough good things.

Our dogs love Cassandra! She goes above and beyond when watching them, giving us regular updates (and sending us cute photos!) so we know that they are well taken care of. We really appreciate how kind and communicative she is. It gives us peace of mind when we are away on a trip or out for an evening, so we can relax and enjoy knowing that our fur babies are safe and happy at home. :)

Cassandra happily agreed to help me when I needed her the most. My pets mean everything to me and they warmed up to her so quickly. My lady dog is especially shy but there were no issues and even let her hug and kiss her! I love the photo updates. Her level of experience and love for animals is evident. Thank you again!

We love Cass! Cass walks my two labs a few times a week and we have had such a positive experience working with her! She is professional, reliable, accommodating, a great communicator, and really loves animals! We are so glad to have found Cassandra! She walks our pup a couple times a week and he loves it! He’s always extra happy on the days she walks him. He’s a reactive dog and can be tough to deal with on walks but she handles him without a problem! She’s even been able to offer some advice for improving his on leash behavior. As a bonus, she’s also a great pet photographer! She sends a couple pictures every walk and they’re actually some of the best dog photos we have!

As a disabled combat vet who gets very anxious when away from her ESA, I can say Cassandra goes above and beyond to ensure your fur kids are not just safe and looked after, but loved and attended to. She provides consistent communication, thoughtful updates and lots of photos which are so encouraging when me and my pup are separated. I highly recommend this lovely human for her services! Cassandra has been walking my dog for about 6 months now and she is awesome! She is super reliable and friendly and seems to really enjoy her job. My dog adores her. She sends super cute pictures after every walk. She’s even done some cat sitting for us while out of town. 100% recommend!

Cassandra is awesome! She lives in my neighborhood and I stumbled upon her by seeing her logo and number on her car. I’m so glad I did! She walks our dog, has boarded him at her home while we’re out of town, and also watches our kitties in our house. All of my pets love her, I get lots of cute pictures, and I feel comfortable with her in my home while I’m away. I’ve had a lot of pet sitters in the past and Cassandra is top notch!

I met Cassandra at the restaurant at which she works and got to know her there. As a waitress she was attentive, detailed, personable and on her game always! It wasn't until some time later I found out she had a pet sitting business. Since I had two Toy Fox Terriers, I got her card for her pet sitting business and soon after needed her for her services. She came over to my house for a meet and greet and was quickly able to bond with my two dogs. We went over my instructions for care and the routine for my dogs. She listened intently and asked good questions. I booked Cassandra for a four day stay at my house while I was away on business. I felt very comfortable and confident about who I was dealing with and having her stay at my house. She followed my instructions to the letter, gave me updates and sent pictures throughout her stay and I know was very attentive with my puppies. I would use Cassandra over and over again if I could , but unfortunately she is so good at what she does she has many regular clients that monopolize her time. I was initially skeptical about finding someone online to watch my cat, Boba Fett, for four days. However, after meeting Jenni (Maid for Your Pet owner) in person at the consultation, I was quickly reassured. She has a calming presence that put both me and Boba Fett at ease—my usually shy cat came out to greet her immediately. Jenni's service was outstanding. She sent a picture or video every visit, along with an update on how Boba Fett was doing. She followed all feeding and litter instructions precisely, which gave me great peace of mind. It should also be noted that having Jenni watch Boba Fett was significantly cheaper and less stressful than taking him on an airplane. Overall, Maid for Your Pet (Jenni) provides excellent care at an affordable price. I'll definitely call Jenni again the next time I'm out of town.

Vivianne is AMAZING!! I’ve never left my dog with anyone except family and she made me feel so comfortable leaving our pup with her. Dr. Boyd’s overnight boarding has been a lifesaver for me when I have to go out of town. My dog has severe separation anxiety but he is always willing to go into Dr. Boyd’s and walks away happily. I love the updates I receive and they also take photos during the day (see attached). My pup loves Dr. Boyd’s and i’m so thankful we found this place. The pricing is fair and your dog will be kept safe!

We had a wonderful experience with our stay at Dr Boyd's. They were very accommodating and got out little Lady in on very short notice. The techs were good with handling her separation anxiety. A very small down side is the very very saturated urine smell in the reception area if you have a highly sensitive nose wear a mask inside and you will be fine. Otherwise for our vacation stay this was such a great way to assure our pup was safe and cared for on the days we had activities planned she couldn't be allowed entry.

Our Mr. Dugan has been cared for by Dr. Boyd's wonderful staff for several years now. We are comfortable boarding him at Dr. Boyd's because we trust the staff to love and care for him just like we do. Thank-you.

Enjoyed their friendly staff. They explained everything in detail and were very patient in answering my questions. It is hard to find a good boarding facility when you are from out of state, but Dr. Boyd's exceeded our expectations. I liked Dr. Boyd's because of their high standards and because they made decisions that were the best for our dogs based on the information we gave them both before drop off and during drop off. My dogs were happy to go back for the next day. We would be happy to use them again.

I am so happy with tbe services provided here to my pups in both the daycare setting and a recent vet visit I needed for my dog. The vet stayed to see my dog again when his labs came back with some discrepancies. She and the staff took their time and calmed my dog who is usually not comfortable at the vet or doggie daycares. Whenever I have questions management is quick to resond. I will continue to take my pups here for both their veterinary and doggie daycare needs. Thank you to all of the staff and management at Dr. Boyd's for taking such good care of my pups!

My husband and I were walking our dogs tonight & we happen to walk right by the Dr. Boyd's Veterinary Resort. When we walked by the windows, we could see very clearly, a small doggy inside a TINY kennel pacing in circles over and over and over. He seemed really stressed out and he was completely ALONE in that entire room. We stood there and watched for a while to see if anybody would come check on him or give him some kind of attention. Nobody. Nothing at all. We continued on our walk up the road and about an hour or more later came back by the vet resort and looked inside to see that poor little dog still going in circles. Stood there again for a while to see if anybody came to visit him and still nobody showed up. We felt so bad for him. I feel like this place stating it was a 'playcation' was totally misleading. The kennel was incredibly small (even though he was a little guy) and he was completely alone and very stressed out. I'm not 100% familiar with places like this for pets, but my husband and I both felt that this situation wasn't right for that poor little doggy. I would never trust another person to care for my babies properly, especially people we don't even know. I wanted so badly to go in there and save this lil' guy and love him! (Im going to try to upload the video i recorded of him. Not sure if it'll work)

Great boarding experience! We have a pup who is not great with other dogs and needs a solitary stay without any group play times. They take great precautions to ensure he is still well cared for and safe. The employees are always nice and friendly at the front.

Dr Boyd’s is fantastic the staff is incredible, and the Vet is top notch, she has lots of knowledge to help you at any stage of your pet! They Day Care is very flexible and so kind with our Emmitt, highly recommend

Poor quality. Management and cleanliness is poor quality. Pee and poop on dogs constantly. Lack of interaction with dogs and cleanliness is lacking. Daycare rooms are very small which gives anxiety to dogs. Overall not goin back to a place that has poor hygiene and management. Manager, Madison was very unprofessional on how she deals with situations. Time to kick bad to the curb. Place is falling apart.

$100,000-$150,000. This is the amount of money that Dr. Boyd’s Pet Resort is losing per my calculations of how much I would have been using their daycare services throughout my dog’s 15 year lifespan. The problem is that the dogs are socialized, but a lot of the staff are not. It is important to treat the human customers, pardon the expression, not like animals. I find some of the staff to be militant, defensive, unfriendly, and uncaring. Not a great trait for people taking care of your fur kids. I am not implying that all of the employees share these traits, but the number that do is disproportionately high. On three occasions, I voiced to staff that I was running late and needed to get my dog as soon as possible. I learned very fast they don’t care. On one occasion I was told that I needed to manage my time better. Since I always dropped off my dog and picked him up in a timely manner, 99% of the time, that was a pretty insensitive and nasty statement. Things happen. To all of us. So if the employee reads this, she needs to know that she could have handled the situation much better. In another case, I brought my dog in and someone else was right behind me in line. No one was there and then an employee walked out of the bathroom. She wanted to know who was first. I told her I was first. She felt the need to defend herself by saying she was in the bathroom and did not know who was there first. While she was going on and on, a cheerful employee came out and took the dog from the owner behind me. My dog was so excited to see this employee and just lit up and all she did is scowl at him. That speaks volumes as far as I am concerned. I was told that if I need to pick up my dog at a certain time, to call and give advance notice. I did just that and still had to wait 10 minutes. When I tried to talk to an employee, she brushed me off by snapping “ I’m helping someone else right now.” No eye contact. No social skills. So why did I mention the loss of $100,000-$150,000? My dog is now going to a wonderful day care, literally five stars when you check the reviews. Now, both me and my dog are as happy as we can be, and disrespect is a thing of the past. Unfortunately, they are closed on Tuesdays, so I have kept Dr. Boyd’s Pet Resort as a fallback when I have no other choice. I would have left in a heartbeat, but they are close to my house and open 24/7. The reason I gave them two stars, and some of the employees truly adore my dog. I just received feedback from management. When I read the feedback really closely, it was not an attempt to make a situation better. Conversely, it was defensive and arguably was excusing bad social skills on the part of staff. Make no mistake, the manager was basically telling me what I needed to do to help the staff out. There was nothing leaned from that reply that I do not know already, and have waited patiently virtually every time I am there, except for the RARE times something was really urgent or emergent. I am 100% certain that even on my easiest day at work I am busier than any daycare staff on their worst day, and yes this statement is a fact. But I don’t treat people poorly because I am busy. There are no excuses.

My dogs are so happy to be at camp…one of them is a shy girl, and doesn’t play much, but she gets all the love and adoration from the humans. My boy is still youthful and silly, and he has fun playing with all the pups. The staff is amazing and they all seem to really enjoy their jobs. I would highly recommend Paw Commons Bay Park. I feel confident and safe leaving my babies there. Professional, knowledgeable, caring staff.

This place exceeded expectations! Staff was amazing, accepting and understanding of our dog’s specialized care. They greeted us so kindly upon entering their facility. They also did a great job caring for our dog, who is our baby! Pictures prove how happy he was in their care. We knew we left him in good hands. We also look forward to bringing our dog back to this pawsome pet resort!

I love how wonderful Paw Common is and my dog Bodie loves it too. I had meeting up to and during his appointment time and wasn’t sure how to get him there. They allowed me to drop him off before around 7 for his 10 am grooming appointment. He came back so happy and clean 🧼 The premium bath is what he needed and I love how his coat is so soft. I use Paw Commons for boarding and grooming my dog. The staff is always so kind and amazing. My go to is usually their Hillcrest location, but it was all booked up. Bay Park had an opening and I jumped on it. It’s a great location and will definitely be back. Thanks for taking great care of him! Cheers 🐾

I couldn’t be happier with my experience boarding my dog here for the first time! From the moment I walked in, the staff was so welcoming and attentive, instantly putting me at ease. They treated my pup like family, and it was clear they genuinely cared about his comfort and happiness. I loved getting updates and photos, which showed he was having a great time. I have been taking my dog Duke to Paw Commons Pet Resort for over a year now. Every time that he goes to daycare he gets overly excited to be there, and even when he doesn't go, he knows when he's nearby. I'm happy I get to see him on the webcams to see what he is up to during his time there. I love the service too. Everyone is very nice when I have questions or concerns, and they always return my call or communicate with me quickly. Duke arrives and leaves home a very happy dog. Paw Commons is great! My dog has been going for daycare for over 5 years and really enjoys it. While she has fun with her fellow four-legged friends, she really loves the staff. This makes boarding a breeze as she’s familiar with the people and place.

We just boarded our dog here for two nights and we were so impressed with the facility. We have used several other boarding companies in the past and this has by far been the best experience. The facility looks very clean and they have cameras in the play yards which I like. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Each day we got a report card telling us about how Penny is doing and they sent pictures. Definitely recommend, your pet will be in good hands

Awe, we love Paw Commons Bay Park! We don't get to leave SoCal all that often, but when we do, we trust this spot and Staff to care for our furbaby and protect him from harm. This was our 7th stay with them, and it's only gotten better with each visit. Some long, some short, but either way the report cards from Staff and the live Nest cams of the 'yards' help with my separation anxiety! No water features in the yard here is a big plus for us! They seem to be great at tracking vax records of guests. We are always prompted to provide current vet records to get a reservation. A relief for us! We've tried 2 other spots in town... and they didn't work for us. We hope to never have to look for another because of Paw Commons Bay Park and their awesome facility and Staff! Thanks, y'all!

Unbelievable staff! Terryl and Daphne greeted us and gave us all the details our first day. Elle gave us the criteria and walk-through of expectations, giving us the gold star of approval. All I can say is, “The Gold Star of Approval” lands here on the map. Could NOT be happier!

Our dog Kona loved her stay at Paw Commons! We had last minute travel plans changed and needed over night stay very last minute and we were so happy they could take Kona the same day we make the reservation! (Other pet hotels don’t do this) The staff was AMAZING! You can tell they love what they do ❤️ We loved checking in on her with the cameras to see her making friends 😊 we definitely recommend and would visit again! 10/10✨😊

Aubry looks after my dog and cat whenever I am out of town or out of the house for the whole day. She is very reliable and always send photo updates of them. Both of my fur babies love her! She’s the best.

Aubry and her team are the absolute best! It's always stressful leaving your pets behind while on vacation but leaving them with Aubry and Tami I know I don't have to worry. They are dependable and always go the extra mile to ensure our pets are well cared for when we are out of town. They always check in and send lots of pictures so I know our sometimes shy kitty is having the best time with them!
