Tammy is such a lovely person. She was in touch with me before, throughout, and after sitting for Peanut. My girl was well taken care of. She went on daily adventures, lots of hikes, shopping, and to the dog park. My house was cleaned and she even restocked my refrigerator. Animals and Travel: An Empty-Nester's Duo Made in Heaven!
I could not have asked for a better sitter! My dog, Hank, has been looking disappointed with me ever since Lisa left and I returned. She clearly took amazing care of him and spent tons of time with him. He's a recent rescue and, I think, a sensitive soul, so the gentle attention and care she gave to him meant the world. She also took terrific care of the house, leaving it immaculate and the plants thriving. Highly recommend!

This was the second time we used John as an extended house/pet sitter, as he is a mature, responsible pet lover who takes his responsibility seriously. Unbelievably great experience. I'd award 10 stars not just 5!! I can't speak highly enough of Pat! She amazing from the get go - it was our first time with a house sitter and so we zoomed with Pat soon after agreeing dates and she really put us at ease. Pat reassured us with proof of her flight and trip details and then we kept in touch via Whatsapp. Pat came to stay with us a couple of days before we left and was absolutely brilliant with our dog Bagel. She was literally like a dog whisperer!! ;-) Just the loveliest most thoughtful person, but also relaxed and with a great sense of humour too! We didn't worry once about being away and Pat kept in touch regularly. We came back to the cleanest house I have ever seen!! (Pat had even planted a rose bush for us which had arrived as a gift just before we left!!) Just a brilliant experience from beginning to end. Thank you so so so so so much Pat!! Reliable to the Point of Boring
Bill and Sandy are awesome catsitters, housewatchers, and most importantly, people. Ernie took his normal two days to decide they were ok (I think that's how long it takes him to give up on me ever returning), and after that, he was literally eating out of the palm of their hands. And once you are cat-approved, you're golden. My house was spotless when I arrived (by pre-arrangement, they left around one hour before I got back home). Everything was where it belonged, and the place was clean. Before and during the sit, their communication was on-point. They arrived when they said they would, had already done some research of the area, and let me show them around a bit. If our schedules ever line up and they apply another time to watch the little guy, I would simply confirm the dates, accept them, and write 'thanks, but this sit is taken' notes to the other applicants. If they apply for one of your sits, you would be well-served to do the same.

Tina was a fantastic house/pet sitter for my cat Trixie - I can’t recommend her enough! She was very communicative and also self sufficient and I felt completely at peace with Trixie in her care. She took it upon herself to water my plants and also trimmed Trixie’s nails, which I always struggle with! She provided perfect company for Trixie, playing with her, brushing her, loving her and giving her daily medicine. She also left my apartment in perfect condition. I would gladly have Tina pet sit again. A 10/10 experience.

Angela did a great job caring for Willie for 10 days while we were out of town. She was easy to communicate with and kept us informed about Willie, along with sending photos of him out on walks and at the beach. Angela was very accomodating when we needed to come home a day early - Thank you! The house was left in good shape and it's clear that Angela is organized and reliable and clearly loves her pet charges. Sharon was a fantastic sitter for our week away! She left the house as tidy and clean as we left it, including changing the sheets for our arrival. I truly cannot even tell she was here and that made coming home after a long travel day so much easier. She was communicative every step of the way and provided daily updates on our cat with photos. I enjoyed meeting Samara. Sosha arrived after I left so we only communicated in writing. Samara is a sweet, considerate pet sitter. She brought her cat, who posed no difficulties to my pets. Samara was in good communication with me during her stay. She used my car without incident. My home was left much cleaner than upon her arrival. Samara proved to be an honest and responsible pet sitter and I would open my home to her at any time in the future.

Carolina was a fantastic Pet sitter. From the beginning, it was straightforward to communicate with her. She met us before we left our trip and ensured she understood all the house and pet logistics. Luna and Cal were very comfortable with her and were best friends with her fast. She was very affectionate with them, and Luna and Cal loved her and were very happy with her. Carolina was very responsive and sent updates. She was really lovely and easy to communicate with. She was very respectful of our space and very tidy. She even washed the sheets and towels she used even when she didn’t need to. She put a lot of care into caring for Luna and Cal, and they looked very comfortable with her. Having Carolina as a pet sitter made our trip very easy, knowing our pets were cared for so well. We would love to have her back to sit for us again and highly recommend her.

Andrea was the perfect sitter for our older Italian Greyhound and our shy cat. She followed every request to a “t”, and helped us to feel comfortable and care free for a long zeewoi. The communication of photos and videos were a warm reminder of how well they had been adjusting to our absence. Andrea showed care and consistent compassion for Darcy and Hammy. She seemed to enjoy them and our home as much as us! We returned to an absolutely spotless home, without anything left undone. She thought of everything related to us and our pets, so we could have a seamless late evening return. We highly recommend Andrea for any zeewoi, as she is a jewel. Judith was one of the most considerate, trustworthy sitters we've ever had. We had to leave in a rush for a family emergency and really didn't have time to prepare the house as we usually do, but Judith took all in stride, leaving the apartment spotless. She sent photos of Baby Boo and Janet on arrival, putting us immediately at ease because it was so obvious the cats were completely comfortable, zero stress, allowing us to relax that they were in such good hands. She sent photos and video every day, which delighted us, confident that they were getting next level care. Judith would take care of anyone's home and pets with as much care as she did at ours, and we highly recommend. Hope she can come back!!

Angela and Joe are wonderful house and pet sitters sitters in every way. They have a great loving way with animals and my shy dog warmed up to them right away. They are warm, organized, confident, and thorough. They communicated very well and gave me frequent updates and sweet photos of my dog Chica. They also took excellent care of my home. My only regret was that I didn't get to spend more time with them, because they're such lovely and interesting people. I give Angela and Joe my highest recommendation and feel that anyone would be very lucky to have them their sitters! I hope that they return to sit here again.

Would you leave a family member with just anyone? I leave my best friend there and do not worry about her when I am gone. We refer to Critter Sitters as "doggie paradise" as it is a vacation getaway made for dogs; they have swimming, multiple play areas, and group activities most of which seem to involve running. They will even pick up and drop off. My "couch potato" dog comes home happy (and then sleeps for 2 or three days.) Highly recommended for furry family members.

I’ve never left a review in my life but I feel obligated to leave this one! We dropped my dog off to try his first day of day care and we asked if we should just do a half day since he was new. They assured me he would be fine for a full day but would call if there were any issues. Unfortunately when we picked him up our dog was in severe pain and couldn’t walk. All four feet were completely raw and bleeding. I called to ask them how this happened and they said it’s completely normal and just put some ointment on it. After several hundred dollars at the vet and numerous trips, taking days off of work, our dog is still having issues 4 months later. I never contacted them about the vet bills because I blamed myself for not doing enough research about the place, but to make matters worse they called me a month later asking for me to pay for my session, when we had actually paid more than we needed so we didn’t have to pay ‘next time’. Luckily they were able to recall we paid already. There certainly won’t be a next time, please think twice before sending your dog here.
My dog has a better vacation than we do when he goes there. His last visit he cried all the way home. He loves being there with all the others and gets to live an all out free dogs life!! No worries about Marley while we are away.
Stephanie and the staff are awesome. I was skeptical about putting our 6 month old Yellow Lab into a boarding facility because I've never used one before. After my Veterinarian recommended Critter Sitters we did our research and then contacted them to set up our interview. Our dog now goes there a few times a month to see his friends and gets so excited the minute he sees where he is. He comes home very tired and it's easy to see he's had a great time. I highly recommend Stephanie and Critter Sitters of CNY.
One of the few boarding facilities that actually understands dogs. They have acres for your dog to run around. Every time I picked up my dog she was happy and tired. The pack formations there quelled her fear of the water and she actually swims now. Couldn't recommend enough to anyone with a medium sized to big dog.
