TERRIBLE JOB ! And they still mention "your abandoned dog, we gave you your money back" First I had to ask for my money and return the next day for the full refund I clearly mentioned not to shave her, you never called me to mention that you were going to cut off practically all of her hair!!!! Apart from cutting all her hair, she kept shedding hair, they couldn't even brush her properly and on top She returned home super thirsty and all sad No apologies or any kind of sympathy from them, I did not want to make this comment but I totally do not recommend this place.

ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE!! THEY SHAVED OUR HUSKY/AUSTRALIAN SHEPARD WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION!!!! < See before and after photos > Our dog was booked in for a simple bath and brush and they took the liberty WITHOUT CONSULTING US of shaving her beautiful coat down to the skin!!!! As groomers they should know that you NEVER SHAVE A HUSKY for risk of sunburn and heatstroke. They have permanently ruined her beautiful coat as it will never grow back the same DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PETS!!! ______________________ In response to their comment: Our dog is not at all neglected. We live part-time on off grid property where she is free to enjoy her surroundings, we have never had an issue coming back to town with any other groomers in 5 years! She had some matting under her belly and between her hind legs which was what was agreed on that they could cut out. NOT SHAVE HER COMPLETELY! Her coat was not matted on her back! If they had called to advise they wanted to shave her we would have declined and gone elsewhere. They have no knowledge about how to care for different breeds and have exposed her to sunburn and heatstoke by completely taking away her insulation layer. In addition to all this, she came back so thirsty! They say she is a 'neglected dog' and they didnt even have the care to give her water! They are a cruel and lazy establishment. All they know is how to shave dogs and charge people.

I brought two of my dogs for a same day appointment for a flea bath. The staff were so kind. They inspected both my dogs for fleas, and couldn’t find any.. they said that the issue of the scratching wasn’t fleas but the result of dry skin. They went on to give my dogs oatmeal baths, and a deep conditioning that allowed them to sleep through the night without scratching once. They both looked beautiful and happy. The staff even stayed open late for me to come and pick them up after hours. Very pleased with this place.

Groomers are very caring and patient with the dogs. They will even take a seasonal themed photo of your dog.

Always, always the best! The nicest, most caring groomers who handle my doggo with care. Happy Hound is the only groomer my dog doesn’t get an anxiety attack because he knows he will be in good hands. And they’re so responsive—you text them and they’ll call you right back.

We do a great job on my Cockapoo however they have gotten a little pricey but that's just like everything else I guess. I think they're worth it!

Best place ever.. you would be crazy to take your dog anywhere else.. better book fast they fill up quick

Happy Hound always goes above and beyond for me & my pups. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I've been going to Happy Hound for years now, since they were located in Santa Barbara and I only had one dog...I now have two dogs, and I take both my pups to their new location because they are well worth the drive to Oxnard. I won't take them anywhere else, as they are my babies, and I trust FEW people with them. However my dogs love all the groomers at this shop and are always so excited to see everyone when we go, so there's no worry about scheduling with specific groomers (as they are in high demand and their appointments do fill up quickly...I recommend calling and booking ahead of time - it's worth it!!) Not to mention Happy Hound works hard with helping to re-home/adopt any dogs in need of a furever home. I have Happy Hound to thank for the fact that I even have my second dog and I can't imagine my life without them now! Huge shout-out to the owners and all the wonderful helpful team at Happy Hound for not only bringing Koda(my 2nd dog) into my life but always treating both my dogs with the best service and care and being so patient with me when I get super specific about how I want their hair cut. Jason is especially helpful, he even takes the time after grooming to let me know if my dogs skin seemed at all dry or any other details they noticed since their last groom - They make sure to check them for ticks during their baths as well, which is always nice as sometimes we like to go for hikes right before their grooming appointment. They have an entire shampoo and conditioner + add-ons list that you can look at in the shop if you want to hand-select the products that are going to be used on your pups too!! I can't say enough wonderful things about this place.. They're also only 8 minutes from the beach! Pawrent & doggo approved in every way!! Both my standard poodles have been well groomed by Jason and Ash, the owners of Happy Hound. One was Ash’s grooming show dog and she and Jason got the other ready for the show ring. He finished his champion in 2 weekends in May! 🐩🐾🐾 Ash has been on maternity leave and we are anxious for her return soon! 🎃 You will be lucky if you can get an appointment soon as they are in great demand.🥰

The absolute best it the best in Ventura county. Jason and the crew left our fur babies so fresh and so clean. Do I recommend? Absolutely!! I honestly can’t describe or put into words how grateful I am for this place. Highly recommend making an appointment.

Sheri did a great job taking care of my pup. Received daily updates, good pricing, very personable, and made an emergency trip away from home much easier knowing my pup was in good hands. Would recommend.

My big Baby sometimes has trouble with other dogs and also gets irritable in the heat. We travel and were at a loss what to do with her when we travel. Well Dioji of Oxnard solved that! Now Baby gets her own private suite, private playtime and has lots of fun playing with the staff! They also send a report card with photos every day!! We call it camp for her! Thank goodness we found this place!

Our Luz loves coming to Dioji in Oxnard for a full day of fun with all the great staff. She especially loves swimming in the bone shaped pool, hanging out and napping on all the different play structures. Their selection of treats is also great! We love taking advantage of the freebies offered with the purchase of daycare packages. Definitely recommend Dioji in Oxnard, all of the staff are friendly and attentive. We appreciate the daily updates on behavior and look forward to the pictures posted to her report card.

We first started bringing our pup Maverick to Dioji after moving to the area earlier this year, and just keep coming back. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are absolutely wonderful. They’re all so kind, and being dog lovers themselves there’s never a doubt Maverick is getting the best care when he’s there for the day. It’s the highlight of my day when I receive email “report cards” at work with fun photos of him enjoying the pool and playing with his dog buddies. And he comes home exhausted! I mean… doesn’t that smile speak for itself? Bring your pup to Dioji, you won’t regret it! 🐶 Maverick approves this message 🐾

Great place for daycare and overnight boarding. I really appreciate that the staff will communicate with me when they see any potential problems(ex a rash they noticed). Everyone is always super friendly and we always feel safe leaving the girls for daycare and boarding. They have a pool which my lab of course loves and we get report cards at the end of the day with pictures of your pups which I always look forward to. I appreciate the transparency with having “windows” you can check on your pup while they are on the “playground”. Highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff, we appreciate you!

We love the Dioji and staff because they are so nice. They great Sparky by name and are always smiling. They love and care about each dog. I love the report cards in the pictures. They send when I leave Sparky there for boarding. We will never go anywhere else.

Mr. Todd’s family here! He has been coming to Dioji since they open in Oxnard! He absolutely loves coming to daycare! He jumps and howls for joy when he sees us getting his bags ready! Once in the car he knows he is coming for a day of fun! He definitely looks forward to all his friends at Dioji oxnard ! Y’all make him feel so loved during the day or when he spends the night!

Cash has been going to Dioji Oxnard since day 1 of opening! We love that he’s known by name by the staff and they take such good care of him when he stays for daycare and boarding! Wouldn’t leave him anywhere else but here. Highly recommend this resort!

My Harry Poppins (goldendoodle) has been going to Dioji for about 6 months now both for day care and boarding (and a bath). I have had nothing but excellent service. The facility is so clean. Harry is not a fan of riding in the car, but when he realizes where he is going his tail wags and he jumps out of the car and heads for the front door. He is greeted by the staff by name and is aways willing to head back for fun! I have spied on him a couple of times while playing and the staff is so loving and caring. I know he is in great hands. When I pick him up they always tell me who he played with for the day and how much of his lunch he ate, or did not eat. They are professional, kind and loving to all dogs and their owners. I am a first time dog owner and have a few questions from time to time which they are happy to answer. I consider myself lucky to have found such a great place for pup!

I love this place so much! The entire staff is friendly and they really care about all the doggos! I went on vacation for 5 days and it happened to be over my dog’s second birthday. They dressed him up in birthday attire and sent me pics which completely made my day. I never worry about Nash when I am on vacation because I know he is in great hands! I highly recommend our dog house for boarding as well as daycare. They are fantastic!

Oh gosh I cannot tell you how much this place has been amazing to my family and our dog! Our dog loves it here, she just loves it. She always makes new friends and is just so happy at the end of the day. The workers are so nice to us whenever we come to drop her off and pick her up, they treat us with a tone of respect. Im just so mad that the city of Ventura for not considering this small business and is going to knock this place down just for new homes that people in the area can’t even afford. We need a place for our dogs to go and have fun and be themselves. As a community in Ventura we should support our local businesses. Hopefully the petition that’s out to keep this place open works out! We love this place and hope this place stays open ❤️

The team is AMAZING and always treats my Bentley like one of their own. My dog loves going to doggie daycare to hang out with them and the other doggies. The facility is clean as well.

People are very friendly. They take very good care of the dogs. My dog loves going there, where he can play with other dogs

I know my dog is happy and safe here. He's always excited running in and exhausted after his day. He has bad separation anxiety and does fine overnight there

They treat our dogs like royalty. A promising sign that they treat our dogs well is that both dogs cannot wait to go inside when we arrive. They come back happy with tails wagging. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate our dog's needs(they observe and report how our dogs act alone and with other dogs for guidance on future stays), and they are friendly to humans too. Lastly, they spend a good amount of time playing with the dogs(either individually or in groups, depending on your dog's individual needs). The dogs come home ready for a nap every time.

My 1 year old dachshund, Buddy, went to daycare for 4 hours yesterday. He is very high anxiety and has pretty bad separation anxiety issues. They spent the time with him to start working through his issues so we can have a better socialized baby. He is going back next week! Facility is amazing.

I love that my dog loves it there! Comforting to know that she's being well taken care of when I'm out of town.

We had Our Dog House recommended to us by our vet for boarding. The experience was fantastic. Our girls (two senior Italian Greyhounds) loves the time they spent. The staff are warm and friendly and very professional. They also offer daycare which provides your fur kids a chance to socialize in a safe, supervised environment.

My Frenchton, Gracie LOVES this place. It's clean and very comfortable for the dogs. The staff is outstanding. We've used the daycare and the overnight boarding both. All the dogs are screened prior to the first visit. They must have all their shots and be on flea prevention which I very much appreciate. They are separated into play groups according to size and energy level, act. Gracie thoroughly enjoys her visits.

We love Inglis Pet Hotel! They have demonstrated a whole new level of care for our fur baby. It is so nice to be able to know we don't have to worry. I highly recommend Inglis, whether for a few hours, overnight, or a week, this is the place for your pet!

best place to leave your doggies. a bit pricey but nothing but the best for my babies. this is the 2nd time using this place. My dogs stayed 5 days this time. they were healthy and happy when we picked them up.

This place was perfect for our dog Nas. He would get anxious at other places around town but at Inglis he is always excited to go. They take great care of our pup there!

My Shiba Inu loved staying here! Was a slow time of year and she was upgraded to a beautiful room! Wonderful staff even sent me photos of my dog enjoying her stay! Would recommend to any person who loves their dogs but must leave them in someone else's care!

I have an older rescue dog that I adopted during the pandemic. She is very high strung and I didn't realize how clingy and full of anxiety she was until things started to open up again and I tried to leave her. I've tried a few kennels and day cares...and I am so glad I finally found the Inglis Pet Hotel! The staff is so easy to work with...and are so good with her! In the past year she has stayed with them for day care numerous times and also overnight boarding for longer trips. I feel very fortunate to have found them - they have made leaving her more comfortable for me - knowing she is in good hands!!

Very well run, my dogs always come home clean and happy. The staff are happy and helpful. You can tell they enjoy working with dogs. I've had my 2 beagle boys here three times since 5/2019 and definitely will continue to use and recommend this kennel. This morning they washed my dogs' blankets before I picked up my dogs so I didn't have to do that when I got home.

Can't say enough about the staff at Inglis PH! I have housed my dogs there on several occasions from 1-6 days. They are always obliging and welcoming to me and my rambunctious lab (RED)! The prices are very affordable. The site is secured (alarms, video, fences). Dogs are not locked up inside all day either.. As every experienced pet owner should know.. You should always plan on grooming your dog after a kennel stay. Inglis has great grooming prices as well! I have recommended many family members and friends who have also had great experiences! Top knotch all the way around!

The are angels here. My dog with me every day n even goes work with me. I had 10 day trip and have not been away from my dog for that long. He hasn't done good at previous daycare. He absolutely loves it here and did so well. They really care about your fur babies. Worth every pennie.

Best place to train your dog the staff is so friendly and really did a good job training cleopatra I highly recommend this place and also to have your dog enjoy the hotel if you need to leave it for couple days

We've used this kennel many time the past 4 years and each time they have been wonderful to our dogs. Our pets are always happy to see the staff and they're not stressed when we return. Prices are reasonable and they offer a variety of different boarding options.

Marnae is amazing! She literally came to the rescue when I needed a “real dog person “ to walk my little girl. Wag was so unreliable and unprofessional, but Marnae was the complete opposite and like a breath of fresh air. Not only does my dog come back satisfied from her walks, but Marnae was able to show me some training techniques that would help me bond with my dog on walks and have a more enjoyable experience walking her. I can truly say that Marnae truly cares about her clients and knows her stuff. From the 1st time I left my dog in her hands, I had no doubts and no worries.

As a dog professional myself, I’m particular about the people who will be caring for my dogs when I need help. This company is impressive! Not only will they walk my pups with the structure that I want for them but they will also do any extras that I need such as put additives in their food if needed, bring in the mail, open or close windows. The gals are well trained, respectful and take the time to build a good relationship with your pets. My dogs love these gals and are really happy to see them when they come over. THESE GUYS ARE WONDERFUL! I highly recommend them!

Pit Stop is an awesome company owned by a reliable and knowledgeable pet owner! Pit Stop has taken care of our two cats in our home via "drop ins" for two extended trips that we have done so far, and we trust them completely to care for properly for our cats. Additionally, they are vigilant and thorough when it comes to checking up on the pets and any dangers or messes in the home while we are out. Definitely recommend!

Marnae Franek and her staff have been taking care of my pets - cats and Greyhounds - for several years. They are professional and very informed on the care of each type of pet. Marnae is responsive and interested in understanding any care issues my pets may have. She and her staff deliver what they promise: they spend time with my pets, make sure they’re fed and have fresh water, and make sure all indoor litter boxes and the outdoor patio are cleaned during each visit. They also send photos of each pet during every visit. Marnae has been walking my Greyhounds and understands their unique needs. I trust her to give my dogs and cats any medicines or other treatments they may need while I’m gone. I heartily recommend Marnae and her Pit Stop Dog Walking and Pet Care team!

Pit Stop has been my go-to for several years now—one of our dogs can be reactive in boarding situations, and so Marnae and the Pit Stop crew keep all of us less stressed. I love getting regular updates and pictures, and it’s a great relief having someone so kind, reliable and professional stay overnight. Highly recommend!

I have been recieving excellent services from Pit Stop for 6 yrs. for my elderly lab mix and now for my young boxer mix with seperation anxiety. Staff members visit my dog at my home weekly for walks and also for feeding and loving when I travel. I can see the happiness in the photos they send from each visit and my neighbors tell me how well the walks go. I would certainly recommed the services of this organization and staff.

Marnae and her team are just the best! I love being able to travel and not worry about my girl. She loves that she can stay home and be the center of attention with friends coming to visit her (and it is an added benefit of having someone in our home checking that the walls are still standing). As Harlee has gotten older, they have been able to adapt to her need and are always responsive on jumping in for last minute walks. Pets can be stressful, but I am so thankful to have Marnae and her team in our court to make it less stressful.

Alyssa is a game changer. I live in Oxnard and I've used both her dog walking and pet sitting services. She's reliable, trustworthy, and always on time. She sends the best photos! I know my dogs are in good hands when they are in her care. Legit!

I highly recommend Alyssa! Alyssa was our dog walker for over a year - she is reliable, trustworthy, and most importantly, treated our pup with love and respect. She also helped him with his walking “manners” which was a great bonus. I always enjoyed getting a picture from Alyssa of our happy pup on his walks or playing in the yard with her!

Let me start by saying that my dog is adopted and has severe separation anxiety and strangers anxiety. Now that my husband and I started working full time, we had to find a daycare for our dog and we couldn't be happier to have found Doggin Around. They assess your dog and find him the best possible group to play and spend his day according to his personality and his needs. Our dog now LOVES to come here! Every morning when I grab the lunch box he knows we are coming and he gets so excited, and when we get there he will start jumping and wining if they don't open the door fast! In the afternoon when we pick him up he is happy and tired after a day of play! He also loves the staff! Never we have seen our dog wagging his tail and letting other people pet him... this has been THE BEST place for our dog to relax and spend his day! The staff is very nice, they accommodate to your schedule as much as possible, the location is big and clean and they treat your dog like you would. Prices are affordable as well. I recommend this place 100%!!!

The best judge of Doggin Around is my Husky, Poppy, and SHE LOVES IT! When we drive close she starts to cry in the car, she barks at the staff because they aren’t getting her fast enough to bring her in the back to play and she runs in place to get through the door! Jennifer and the staff are super. They watch them if they are getting tired and need some downtime and let them eat in private. They really respect them. I feel totally confident when I drop Poppy off. The prices are reasonable and worth the happy Husky who comes home. Offering grooming and other services are more pluses! Thank you Jennifer and staff at Doggin Around! Poppy thinks you’re the best and she loves your treats! She’s also made lots of good friends.

Jennifer was very friendly and helpful making sure our pup was prepared to spend her initial assessment time at Doggin Around Daycare, we were able to first tour the facility, then scheduled our visit a couple days later. All went smoothly, and we were given a verbal report on our pups time there. Will definitely return when in Ventura again!

Such a lifesaver! We swung into town last minute hoping to kayak the Channel Islands and needed daycare for our Goldendoodle. Enter Doggin Around Daycare to save the day; they were able to accommodate her in short notice and work with us on timing. Their massive indoor facility is amazing and they did a wonderful job. Our puppy played and played. She was returned to us exhausted and ready for bedtime. It was so nice to being about to entrust her to their care without worry. Thank you Doggin Around Daycare!

I brought my puppy here for the first time this weekend and I was so blown away by the generosity of the staff and helpfulness. My pup made more progress here in the two days he had gone than with the 4 or 5 trips to a previous day care center. Gabby even gave me a private room during my lunch break to play with my pup before heading back to work. They deserve a 5 star review all around! Great place, I will definitely be returning :)

Edited: My sweet old man passed away last summer, and the staff at Doggin’ Around gave me the sweetest card ever, with each staff member making it clear they has a personal relationship with my dog. Fast forward to this year: I have a new chihuahua puppy and Doggin’ Around is under new management. I am so happy to report that it is still the best dog facility with the greatest staff. I’ve also gotten to take puppy training and puppy play with Ellen, who is phenomenal. Thanks for taking such great care of my babies, past and present! Previous review: I just picked my 11 yo up from four days of boarding. He had a great time, showed no signs of anxiety when I picked him up, and is peacefully snoozing away. Very happy to find a great place for him to stay when we travel!

Doggin Around has been great for our very shy rescue. They took the time to understand and work with her temperament in helping her gradually socialize with other dogs. The owner is great and the staff friendly! They also do grooming and you can board your pet there, too!

My German Shepherd loves going here! I love how much they care about her. She has done overnights here and is fine with it, so they must be great! Highly recommend this place.

Great place! Our dog would get so nervous going to her old kennel, but when we get to Doggin Around she wags her tail and seems happy to be there. Very clean, and the outdoor area is nice. They love the pups & take great care of them, which is the best part :)
