Happy Pets. Happy Home.
I had the pleasure of having Mindy watch my four dogs for the first time, and I couldn't be more impressed with the level of care and attention she provided. She was able to take my last minute booking request and I couldn’t be happier. Mindy was incredibly active in her communication, which instantly put my mind at ease. Coming back to four happy dogs was such a relief, and I never once worried while I was away. I truly hope to have Mindy dog sit for us again in the future. Thank you, Mindy, for your exceptional care and dedication to our furry family members!

Daniel: current world traveler originally from California
It was such a relief to have Daniel holding down the fort and providing loving care to our cat, Tuna. We had to be away for six weeks while Kevin underwent stem cell transplantation, so we were under no small stress. Also, the doctors couldn't give us exact dates. But Daniel was accommodating and flexible. He took any concerns we had completely off our shoulders. He kept in touch, sent photos of our happy pet, and assured us that all was under control, so we could breathe easier on that front! He is a kind and generous man. We are indebted to him!

We are a kind and caring couple who love animals and traveling!
Laura went above and beyond to help my dog feel comfortable with a new person caring for her. She was an excellent communicator, kind, caring, and extremely clean and respectful of my home. I can't recommend her enough!

Honest, reliable and caring, semi-retired couple looking for the opportunity to
Roger and Brooks were the perfect house sitters. They took great care of our house and our cats. We got daily updates and photos of the cats. Chivers and Frank Cooper were clearly very happy and relaxed in their company. The photos that Brooks sent were great, we missed the cats so much but could clearly see that they weren’t missing us at all! On our return, our house was spotlessly clean and tidy. We would definitely give Roger and Brooks a big 10/10 and would welcome them back any day!

Janie was amazing!! She has a true connection with animals. She took great care of my two cats, not just feeding and litter cleaning, but enjoying them and loving on them. She was also great with communication and pics! My house was immaculate when I got home! Cleaner than I left it for sure. And she left me a beautiful box of seashells she had collected at a previous sit. I would highly recommend Janie to anyone! She will take great care of your pets and home so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Claudia left my apartment very clean. She communicated some areas where Ollie's training could be improved, and worked on it herself. She also sent some updates while I was gone. I would totally recommend Claudia! She's an animal lover!

Abi and David were FABULOUS pet sitters during our 5-day trip. They were devoted and fun dog walkers, park-goers and ball throwers. They communicated well and sent pictures. And when we got home, the house looked great, and the dogs looked calm. We would gladly have them. Sit for us again and highly recommend them.
Natalie and Christian were dream pet sitters while we were out of the country for 2.5 weeks. From start to finish, they were reliable and professional, with excellent communication. They had took great care of our dog and chickens and left the house and car in great shape. Plus, they’re just a really sweet young couple. We’d highly recommend them as house sitters.
Prashant and India were fantastic pets sitters for us. Both were dependable and were even kind enough to allow some service people into the home to do some repairs. Our dogs were well looked after and we got daily updates on how the dogs were doing. Prashant is very knowledgeable and gave us a few strategies to combat some negative behaviors that we were seeing with the dogs. Could not recommend them more. They will be missed.
Leah was an excellent pet sitter and take care of our home when we were on vacation. Our dogs were sad when she left. She even made us some delicious tacos when we got home from the airport! We highly recommend her!
Richard was exemplary as a house and pet sitter. He was attentive and thorough with his review of instructions, compliant with requests, provided regular home/pet updates, and maintained our home perfectly. An excellent citizen, mature house sitter and reliable.
I had the pleasure of having Tracey and her two children as house sitters, and I can't praise them enough for the incredible job they did. From the moment they stepped into our home, it was evident that they were dedicated, caring, and attentive to every detail. First and foremost, Tracey's approach to caring for our house and our beloved pets was nothing short of excellent. She has an innate ability to connect with animals, and it was clear from the daily updates and photos that our pets were happy and thoroughly pampered. The house was kept in immaculate condition, and they treated it with the utmost respect as if it was their own. Moreover, Tracey demonstrated remarkable responsibility and initiative when our AC system unexpectedly broke down. Without hesitation, she arranged for an HVAC company to come and fix the issue, taking time from her day to ensure our home was taken care of. Her willingness to front the repair costs until I could reimburse her was an act of kindness and trust that you rarely see. Tracey and her children's thoughtfulness and thoroughness provided me with peace of mind during my time away, which is priceless. I returned to a home that was just as I left it, if not better. Their stay was characterized by an extraordinary level of care and I was particularly impressed by how they left the house in perfect condition, with happy pets to welcome me back. I wholeheartedly recommend Tracey to any future hosts. Her reliability, compassion, and the ability to handle unexpected situations with grace are commendable. I would welcome Tracey and her children back to house sit in a heartbeat – they are exactly the kind of house sitters that one hopes for on this site! Thank you, Tracey, for everything. You and your children are welcome back anytime!
Ce was an amazing house sitter for our best bud Atlas. She not only took amazing care of our needy pup, she took great care of the home as well. I honestly think she left it cleaner than I left it for her! We certainly hope she is around the next time our best friend needs a friend. If you're looking for a responsible caregiver for your pets and home - look no further!
Janis is a wonderful person and also an incredible sitter -- we were very, very fortunate that she agreed to care for our beloved pets and rural log home for 3 days. We were confident that everything would be perfect – and it was. We returned to a home as clean and ordered as we had left it, inside and out. All plants were thriving; outdoor hanging baskets were blooming profusely. Most importantly, our beloved dog and 4 cherished cats had obviously been lovingly and attentively cared for. The koi were also active and happy. Janis is a “cat whisperer”. She is especially skilled and patient with shy felines, so we truly appreciated her patience and caring for our sweet Angie (with a semi-feral background). Janis immediately understood that Angie, despite her reclusiveness, craves affection and was able to start to earn her trust even with such limited time. Among Janis’ many gifts: she is a talented photographer and delighted us with frequent updates and photos of our furry children. They are so beautiful that we, with her kind permission, plan to include several in our zeewoi profile. Janis’ communications, reliability, self-sufficiency, and punctuality were exemplary, start to finish. We made a wonderful new friend and have already invited her back to sit again. If you are privileged enough to ever have Janis sit we are certain that you will be as delighted and happy as we are.
Angela and Joe are wonderful house and pet sitters sitters in every way. They have a great loving way with animals and my shy dog warmed up to them right away. They are warm, organized, confident, and thorough. They communicated very well and gave me frequent updates and sweet photos of my dog Chica. They also took excellent care of my home. My only regret was that I didn't get to spend more time with them, because they're such lovely and interesting people. I give Angela and Joe my highest recommendation and feel that anyone would be very lucky to have them their sitters! I hope that they return to sit here again.
What an amazing couple we had as pet sitters for our two dogs! You can truly feel their love for animals. Nancy sent pictures a couple of times letting us know that they were having fun also with our Cody and Carson! Our home was perfect when we got home. They even left a beautiful potted flower and card on our island in our kitchen. We highly recommend this couple! Jim & Wanda

We use Janice 2x each week for our loving fur baby. She is a true asset to our community and we trust her with our precious Beagle. Plus he loves going and playing with his friends there. We don't know what we would do without her and her services.
We were in town visiting family from out of state with our two pups who’d never been in the care of anyone else and Janice was absolutely wonderful and extremely accommodating to both of our dogs and to us, she even sent pics of our pups to ensure our peace of mind. Janice was extremely sweet and we wish we had Janice where we leave for pup sitting back home
Found this dog-sitter on google. I was coming into town the day after Christmas and we needed someone to watch our two dogs during dinner so we could dine at a restaurant that didn't accept dogs. Called her and she called back quickly, not long after. We finalized the booking via text. The day before I confirmed via text. We showed up and there was dog stuff all over her car and house so we knew this was a dog person. Janice was so sweet in person and was so sweet with our dogs. She sent us updates and pictures of dogs looking relaxed. Pickup was easy and I told her I’d write this review. Thanks Janice!
Janice was fantastic! She provided excellent service and quickly addressed our needs. She treats all dogs as if they were her own and kept us updated on our dog’s well-being. She made us feel very comfortable and worry-free. I highly recommend her!
13 year old Tony usually stays with my mom when we go on vacation. This year we were on vacation at the same time. Janice the owner of Pet Nanny Paso was the perfect solution. She LOVES dogs!!! Her house is a dream doggie daycare. It is dog friendly and organized. Her expertise and passion for dogs made us feel that Tony was in the perfect place. He had a great visit with no adjustment issues. The dogs at Pet Nanny Paso were all friendly and playful. Janice sent us texts and pictures each day to show us how Tony's vacation was going. He had a blast! We recommend Pet Nanny Paso to anyone.
2nd time having Janice keep our weimaraner Jade. We love her and she's so in tuned to the dogs. She kept her overnight both times. Best pet sitter in paso will keep using her every time we come up.
Janice is a gem. Please book her for your pup. Her place is clean, indoors and out. She knows her doggies personalities and how to manage doggies that may not get along, but she has can handle care of all dog personalities. She is meticulous. You should trust her with your baby. She’s amazing. Lovely person.
We dropped off our Mini Schnauzer while we were at Hearst Castle and Sensorio. Janice is so nice and attentive. She was patient showing us around her large yard set up for dogs, texted photos while we were out, and also let us know that our harness was a size too small which we hadn't noticed. We'll definitely go with the Pet Nanny again next time we are in Paso Robles!
Janice is an exceptional caretaker for dogs. She's very professional and kind hearted. She took take care of my dog on short notice when I was visiting Paso Robles. I l would definitely recommend her if you need someone to take care of or watch your dog.
She was able to take me last minute. She also updated me on how my dog was doing throughout the day. Would definitely recommend.
We visited Paso Robles and wanted to do some “touristy” stuff but our 2 Bernedoodles, Brodie and Dani, could not come with us. We found this amazing doggie daycare a few short miles from our RV resort. After the necessary paperwork was processed online, we met the team and delivered our girls to their capable and professional care. We are always a little apprehensive about leaving them but, we were assured everything would be alright and they were correct. The girls “behaved” themselves and got a good report card. They must have had a great day because they slept great that night!! Thank you to everyone at this amazing facility. We highly recommend contacting Vineyard Kennels if you need the BEST!! Cheers! Alison
My Pom Chi mix Ruby stayed for four days and I’m not sure she wanted to come home! She made all sorts of new friends and enjoyed her stay very much. Thank you all for your fine doggie care!!🐾🐾❤️ …
Horrible place. Horrible owners. Abusive. You'll need a vet after your dog leaves. They don't feed your dog. Take your cash and lock your dog up to live in its own feces and urine. Like a roach motel. My dog passed after staying here.
My dogs get excited, when I get home, before a walk, before a morning treat they wag their tails, grunt, huff and puff… When we pull up to Vineyard Kennels my dogs go crazy!! Screaming, yelping, jumping! Nothing else makes them do this. It’s like doggy Disneyland!! Our dogs love you and so do we! Thank you VK!!
I cannot even express how much my dog and I love Vineyard Kennels. He goes to daycare regularly and boards occasionally. They are so kind, he has SO MUCH FUN. My dog, Charles, has gone to other daycares and I worked at one for a long time, so we’re both picky. They are so convenient and take such great care of the dogs, and at a great price too! I love chatting with the employees and they care about the dogs so much. They have a very cute board in the office with Polaroid pictures of the daily daycare doggies. They also have Dirty Doxie Grooming on the property. Adrianne is a fantastic groomer and she just picks Charles up from daycare and I can pick him up at my normal time. They have doggie pools for when it’s hot and nap time in the AC. Charles comes back exhausted every day. They also are so accommodating for any random need. They even do a doggie secret Santa around Christmas time. Really can’t recommend them enough.
They beat your dog. My dog passed. Horrible dirty place. Your dog will not be safe here. This place will scam you. Poor communication. Lots of diseases. They don't clean. Dog might not walk out of here breathing. Abusive. Will never use.
My dog has been a monthly “hall pass” member at their doggy daycare for years and is boarded here regularly. This place is my savior! My dog gets very anxious when I leave her home and at Vineyard Kennels she is like a different dog and it’s so reassuring knowing how well she is taken care of. Their self-service room for regulars is incredibly helpful for my work schedule and there have been numerous times where I’ve had an emergency and they board her at the last minute. I am so fortunate to know they genuinely care about the dogs and take the best care of them. The owner, Amanda, has transformed the place since she took over a couple of years ago and continually creates new, fun things for the pups. Vineyard Kennels is my dog’s home away from home and I’m forever thankful for how well they treat her.
I spelled something wrong on face book and the owner Jon, belittled me. Poor care. Abusive towards people and dogs. Report of a dog cemetery rather than a boarding kennel. Very rude person. Mean to dogs. Don't use this place unless you need hospice services for your dog. Your Dog will walk in on 4 legs and you will carry your pets ashes home. Then charge you for the stay. Horrible
The staff was great to deal with, very friendly and obviously good with dogs. My smaller dog is usually quite nervous about new places, but she seemed excited to be back the next day we went. After hours pickup was a great touch as well. Really allowed us to be flexible with our limited time down that way. Very good experience.
Yes, the place is older. Yes, the dogs smell when they come out. It’s a kennel. My two dogs are very happy when I pick them up and I would not just send them anywhere; they are my fur babies. I am always able to get in and the pricing is very reasonable. You can tell the staff cares. I have a white dog with very pink skin that gets easily irritated and I have never had issues with him after his stay. Highly recommend this kennel. 😊
Our 6 lb. Yorkshire Terrier loved spending the day at Susan’s Bed and Bisquits. We were traveling through the area and needed the afternoon to visit a senior friend and be out and about. I highly recommend Susan’s.
My dog and I love Susan's Bed and Biscuit. Susan takes such good care of my dog, and I trust her fully with my guy. I have been going there for 7 years now and love it.
First time boarding our puppy, I will never go anywhere else! Susan has a great facility, and clearly loves the "guests" in her care. ✓ Clean facility ✓ 4 separate sections for small/large dogs ✓ Responsive communications ✓ Misters and indoor/outdoor access when hot ✓ Daily treats and individual attention ✓ Very reasonable rates ✓ Easy drop off/pick up ✓ Even sent daily video of my pup playing and happy This is the kind of business that makes you want to give them your money!!
Susan did a great job dog sitting our dog for 9 days. She sent updates and introduced new did to current visitors over by one. She has much dog experience and it it shows. Our dog had a great time there.
Susan's bed and biscuit is a wonderful kennel to babysit your dog. Susan is very loving and caring to your dog and even sent me videos of my dog having a great time. I highly reccommend.
Took our dog here when we went to Pismo and wine tasting for the weekend. She was very friendly and sent us picture updates of our dog while she was watching her. I will definitely use this place again
Susan is great and our dog loves it there. Would highly recommend!!
We Love Susan's. Very personal and caring about our dog Roxie
Great lady take care of our dog very well
My dog was treated just like she was at home! Thank you Susan!
My 16 year old dog has a hard time at the groomers. We've tried mobile groomers but none have done the good job that A Cut Above did, some groomers wouldn't even take her because of her age. I was so pleased with their kindness and patience with my Lucy. They had her in and out in an hour because they knew how hard it was on her. Thank you A Cut Above!
Overall very good. Usually I don’t have a time constraint but I told the individual who checked my dog in I needed to pick her up at 12-12:15.. I thought she understood but when I returned our pup wasn’t ready.. I did wait so at least they could do some trimming and pup was immaculately clean.. felt bad for the staff because I felt they were short staffed for the number of dogs there.
My little spaniel, Penny needed a short haircut for summertime and these guys did a great job! Very affordable, great service, and had her in & out in no time. Will definitely be back!
Great place to take your pups! They not only listen to how you want your dog groomed but they are caring, loving and patient. I have purchased a puppy from Denise and she was one of the best dogs I have ever had. Great local business with incredible customer service!
Since our groomer moved to another state we were worried about finding another perfect fit for our fur babies and A Cut Above filled the position perfectly!! Happy happy fur mama 😍😍 …
My 1st visit to Denise I brought her my newly acquired 18year old, very matted, unfriendly cat. Another groomer refused to groom Simone due to her age and temperament and my vet wanted several hundred dollars to sedate and groom her. Denise assured me everything would be fine and it was! Simone’s mats are gone and her disposition has greatly improved. Denise and staff are awesome!
Every time I call to get my dog's nail cut they always get me in right away! I talking within the 1/2 hour she gets us in and we're out the door! My own vet charges me $20.00 for a nail trim! A cut above charges $10.00! Love them! Don't dare take your 'babies' anywhere else!
I've been coming here for a long time. Denise and here team do a great job of fitting you in when you need it,and getting you out when you do too! It's like magic I leave my shaggy dog there and pick up a show dog! My kids use her also and a lot of others I know. If you love your fur babies use someone the community trusts.
That place is beyond only 5 stars! I have a maltipoo who was first taken to PetSmart and they did a terrible job. Next I took her to the groomer at my vet, who cut both of her ears and they were bleeding when I picked her up. Then they charged ME for antibiotics for what they did. So you can imagine that I was really hesitant to take her anywhere but A Cut Above did a fantastic job! She looks better than ever and no cuts! Highly recommend!
The owner took excellent care of my boy Raider. He doesn't usually handle the groomer well, but she was patient and worked with him.
I'd been looking for a caring, compassionate, knowledgeable Vet since my favorite Vet left the state some years back and FINALLY found Dr. Carol! She is my new favorite-ever Vet as she keeps up her continuing education so she is up-to-date on all Veterinary medicines and procedures.. She also properly diagnosed two of my cats who had been misdiagnosed by previous Vets. Two of them are special needs babies. Most of all she authentically cares about your fur children and is gentle and loving with them. She communicates very clearly, addressing all of your concerns in detail. I feel so fortunate to have found her and this clinic.
I had my rats neutered here - I was quite nervous because I had read horror stories online about vets that aren’t familiar since it is not super common. But the vet was so great, he explained all the pros and cons and clearly wouldn’t have been judgmental if I decided not to do it. I did it because my boys were fighting. The surgery went great, they healed totally fine, and now they cuddle again like when they were babies. I wanted to post this since I picked this vet because someone else had posted a good review about their rat’s care - if you have rats, highly recommended!
My dog was terrified of humans, this veterinarian is the only place in my experience that actually knew how to work with dogs who had human fears, to the point my dog was overly excited every single time we went to the vet. My boy absolutely loved this vet and they always were so kind and professional with him. Pricing is also great compared to other clinics, very understanding place. 10/10 would recommend to everyone
To say I was blessed with Paso Pet Care is an understatement. They are caring, patient, passionate, and especially pet lovers. My dogs have been patients of theirs for years. I cannot beg y’all enough to give them a shot. Hands down trust them with my dog’s lives! 100/10 recommend all day long.
Unfortunately our dog Mac has been here more times than we had wished for a foxtail up his nose. He is always treated with the utmost care and respect and we are told he is a veterinary favorite. We love the attention and love that he gets at this place. I have no doubt that he is taken well care of every time we drop them off. The veterinary center staff is knowledgeable and very loving and I would highly recommend this for your pets.
Dr. BOB IS THE BEST! HE REALLY CARES. The techs are loving and the front office is special. Thanks for being there for us and COOPER.
Most caring kind people your pets will ever experience even if its a reptile or a rodent
I just want to thank Dr. Konrad at Paso Pet Care for saving my White'sTree Frog, Jade. She had a prolapsed rectum (usually fatal) and he was able to help get everything back in. If you are on the Central Coast and have exotic pets , Paso Pet Care is your place
After 17 years, our dear Lucy was struggling and needed assistance in taking her leave and entering into her next journey. The staff at the hospital were very kind and showed so much compassion and respect for our 17 year old girl. Everyone that we came in contact with was wonderful and created a celebration of her long life. This was greatly appreciated.
The staff is very friendly and affectionate, we had a very good experience when they put our Roxy to sleep
I have left my Husky there twice. The first time everything went great, pretty much.. The second time i had a family emergency, i needed somewhere again for my dog. I thought i would be gone a week but things turned out different and i only needed one night. I called first thing the next morning to let them know i would be picking her up that day. It was after noon so i just expected to pay for that day. When i picked up my dog I was told the lady was out to lunch. Not expecting any problems i said it was ok. Within a few days i see charges on my bank statement i do not recognize so i call. Long story short i was charged almost 500.00 dollars. The lady Said she found errors on their billing end. She said she would give me a Credit of $118.00 get this, TO GO TOWARDS MY NEXT STAY THERE. So no there was no credit given. They must be hurting to pull things like this. I won't be going back there . It's to bad because they could make a lot more money being honest.
Beautiful property, charming dog cottages, kind and patient staff, happy dogs! We took our two dogs here for a three night stay. A few days before their doggy-cation, we took them for a 3 hour doggy daycare to check out the place and give the dogs a chance to become familiar with where they’d be staying. I have nothing but great things to say about Canterbury Tails—they have a large play yard where dogs can socialize with other dog friends or separate themselves if they’re not feeling it! Their temperature controlled cottage style homes with enclosed outdoor patios have cots and blankets. If your dog develops a bond with another guest, they can bunk them together! Canterbury also offers 1:1 playtime and walks for a small charge. We also opted for the lavender exit bath upon pick up! Our dogs were well taken care of. Their “smiles” at pick up time said it all! I highly recommend this dog resort. I want to give a special shout-out to Shilo, a staff member who was friendly and welcoming from the very first phone call. She even updated me on how the dogs were doing when I called during our trip (I’m THAT dog mama). Thank you Shilo!!
Like most dog owners, I'm apprehensive about leaving my dog with strangers. The staff here made the drop-off process so seamless, my dog didn't even know I was gone. The tracker collar I have on him showed he really played a lot and he was happy and exhausted when I picked him up. Well done and 10/10 would recommend.
Last year, We needed someone to watch the dogs. This place seemed like it would be great! I booked it and found out that my brother in law was staying home so he would be able to watch the dogs! I called the place back, literally within 45 minutes of booking, and they said that it wouldn't be a problem.... Guess what? It was a problem! I called again when we came back from our trip and they charged us $275 for NO dogs and cancelling within 45 minutes of booking! This was such a scam! I called our credit card company and they said because this company had responded to our dispute we wouldn't get our money back! This was such an awful experience that they wouldn't even honor anything! On top of that they said they were refunding it and never did. Be very careful about booking this place because they are NON REFUNDABLE even if you book it and cancel within the same hour. It is my recommendation to not make reservations with this place and just see if they have room because if you don't end up needing them, you will be out your money. They must be really desperate for money since they wouldn't return the money for dogs they never even watched! Why am I writing this a year later? Because, I need a place and can't go there because they already stole my money! Even if I did take my dog there, I don't believe they would treat my dog like they should. NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED!
Canterbury Tails Dog Resort is amazing!! I'm super picky about who is taking care of my best friend Dolly. She means everything to me. I'd give Canterbury Tails 10 stars if I could. From the tour of the property and meeting the team members, I actually wished I could stay there. Safe, clean, friendly and incredible humans that truly love what they're doing. Truly a resort! You can add on play sessions, baths, and other activities. I'll never go anywhere else! Thank you to everyone at Canterbury Tails Dog Resort for the love and care you provided to my Dolly.
Canterbury tales is by far the only place I would take my dog on the Central Coast. After at least 10 trips and some for multiple days, my boy "Scooter" always comes back happy and healthy. It truly seems like the people that work there have a great love for the animals they take care of and it's calming knowing that I can trust them 💯 with my favorite little guy. Thank you everyone at Canterbury Tails Dog Resort for the great job you do, much appreciation!!
This is a horrible facility with horrible staff and an unstable owner. Our dog needed immediate emergency care upon pickup and and when telling the owner about it she started yelling and blaming us. Not once did her or her staff call and tell us our dog was not eating, not drinking, couldn’t walk or lift her head. Not one call, text, nothing! We called several times while in vacation and her staff told us the opposite. They told us our dogs were doing well eating and drinking. This place is horrible!!!
We’re very pleased with Canterbury Tails! We call it her summer camp! My husband boarded his previous dog there years ago and insisted we could easily trust them with our sassy, full-grown catahoula. And we absolutely do! She eats a mix of wet and dry food, and I only brought the dry food for the weekend, which she doesn’t usually like to eat on its own. When we picked her up, two of their employees informed me that she didn’t eat much over the weekend and were a little concerned. I wasn't surprised to hear their report, but was mostly happy that not just one, but TWO separate employees made sure to let me know of their concern for my dog. I appreciate that concern (they’re obviously taking good care watching her) and the responsibility of letting me know of a possible issue. Seriously, she loves it there. And they love her. So we love them!
I love this kennel. More importantly, my dogs love this kennel. I lived in Paso for two years, while my boyfriend lived on the east coast. As a result, I needed to board my dogs (two Boxers, 6 year old male and 4 year old female) for extended stays. I toured the Canterbury facility and found it immaculate and the staff friendly. The owners were professional and accommodating. The kennels are spacious private rooms, with heat and air conditioning and their own little yard. If social, the dogs are also taken for group play in the yard. When I picked up my dogs after their first stay, they were happy to see me, but clearly would have been happy to stay. On recurring visits, they even ran around the yard trying to avoid me and the leash to extend their stay. The staff members are great with the dogs, exhibiting sincere affection for them. My dogs would get excited in the car as we approached the kennel. I have since moved from the area, but I drive my dogs down when I need to leave them for an extended stay, because I know they will be happy and well cared for. I have never encountered a kennel as good as this one. It's so beautiful, with its little Tudor kennels under the old twisted oaks, that I love the few minutes I spend there dropping off/picking up the dogs. I highly recommend it.
We have very high drive, high feelings working dogs and this place gets it. Everything they're is curated to understand the dog's needs and provide a lovely away from home experience. Everytime we get a report at pickup, I'm grateful for their deep knowledge of dogs.
New to the area and got referrals for this place so I went. Totally happy with the service and how wonderful my dog, Berlin, and I were treated. We found our new groomer and highly recommend!!
They cut my dog's paws open! My dog is 3 years old, and we recently moved back into the area. I have been taking my dog to a groomer every few months since she was a baby, and she always has done very well at a groomers. So I did some research, and this groomer seemed to have good reviews, so I made an appointment. I dropped off my dog, and 4 and a half hours later, I got a call that she was done. I picked her up, and everything seemed great. Arriving home, my dog started running around, and I noticed there was blood on the floor. Picking up my dog, I found that both of her front feet pads had been sliced open!! It was a nightmare to stop the bleeding! And one of them, part of the pad, started coming up it was sliced so bad! I called the groomer back, and she said she needed pictures. I sent her pictures, and her texts were filled with a mix of excuses with apology. My poor dog can barely walk, and it's been a nightmare keeping her from picking at them. I have them wrapped and almost took her to the vet for them to stitch her foot up. When I came to get my refund, they said they would try and make sure this didn't happen again by giving the dog more breaks, and it must have been because she moved her paw. And things like that happen. I just wanted to let you know that the apprently cutting open dog paws is something that happens at this groomer, and I don't want any other poor dogs to have to go through what my baby did. This isn't the only thing I've now heard about something happening with this groomer. As someone else told me that their dog couldn't walk after coming home from this groomer. And the vet said he was likely dropped. I just hope my dog can heal, and I now am going to travel back to my old groomer. As of this trauma, I don't know who I can ever trust as a groomer anymore.
Excellent experience! They were able to fit me into the schedule on short notice and then did a beautiful job grooming him and did exactly what I asked for. He's usually a bit nervous at groomers, but they took time to pet him and put him at ease. Couldn't be more pleased. Thank you!
I just got back some clean, happy puppies! They visit Hair of the Dog quarterly for grooming and they always come back looking and smelling great. This place is a great no frills, reasonably priced groomer.
This is the best place in town for all your Dog grooming needs. Judy is a professional & does a great job. She always makes my pup look fresh & clean. I highly recommend her
After calling couple local groomers, with little positive responses. Got my dog in same day (appointment). Judy was friendly. Calming for new experience for my dog. Resident dogs helped too. Excellent groom and de-shed. Great pricing. Will definitely go again.
Ms. Judy is absolutely the BEST groomer in town! She has been grooming our Bella for years! You can't go wrong with her! Highly Recommend Hair of the Dog!
Took my dog to get groomed here. The cut was very uneven and she wasn’t rinsed well. She has itchy skin now and dandruff. Took her back to get fixed. They refused to bathe her and yelled at me for accusing them of giving my dog dandruff before even examining the dog. She did a quick touch up on the trim but doesn’t look any better overall. She was very rude and defensive towards me. Told me to find another groomer. Not a problem! I will never take another one of my animals to this establishment nor recommend it to anyone.
Judy took care of my two Pomeranians until they passed. They always looked so adorable and smelled incredible! She also helped me adopt one of them because she is so proactive for fur babies!!
I've take my Lil Dachshund, Bella, to Hair of the Dog twice and both times were wonderful! They take really great care of her, and she's always happy when I pick her up. Excellent service, and very reasonable in price! 😃 …
We LOVE Critter Happiness! This is the only place I will take our dogs when we need to board them. Krissy and Eric are the best people and take the best care of our fur babies! Boarding area is beautiful and clean and surrounded by beautiful country views. This is like a fun vacation for your doggies! Make sure you choose Critter Happiness for your dogs, they will thank you for it.
If you’re ever worried about leaving your pup, this is the one place you don’t need to be! Upon drop-off arrival, we were greeted by Krissy and Eric who were so kind and welcoming. The space is large, open, and clearly well maintained. Over the course of our vacation, Krissy sent photo updates everyday of our dog – and his tail was up and wagging in every single one! It really gave us peace of mind to know that our pup was in great hands while we were away. The pups get walk and play time, and in addition, they have their own mini pool if they’d like. Krissy and Eric really do take the time to care for your dog which allows you to feel relaxed while you aren’t with them. We can’t thank them enough and will most definitely be returning!
I can’t recommend Critter Happiness enough! Krissy and Eric always take incredible care of my three dogs and treat them like their own! They were incredibly kind and flexible when I had flight issues, unable to pick up my dogs as scheduled and they had to stay another 12 hours, easing my mind after stressful traveling! Krissy sends multiple pictures everyday of them playing and running around. My pups ALWAYS come home so happy and absolutely exhausted from how much fun they have; they sleep for two days straight (it’s a win-win all around). Big thank you to Critter Happiness for the amazing experience every time!
Krissy is amazing! Krissy kept me updated daily on how my pup was doing and went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable. They provide plenty of room for your pup and even provide a splash pool if you're comfortable with it. My pup can be a handful for strangers and I'm in amazement on how easily she was able to provide him with a comfortable stay. After struggling for months to find somewhere my pup was comfortable staying we've finally found out our place for when I have to go out of town. You can trust your pup will be safe/happy/healthy in Krissy's hands. I can't say thank you enough!
We cannot say enough about how blessed we are to of discovered Critter Happiness to care for our “boys” when we travel. We have been boarding our 3 dogs (a 12 year old Shih Tzu, 11 year old Chihuahua mix & 3 year old chocolate lab mix) at Critters for varied duration of times for over a year now. Our boys love it , it’s like a vacation for them . We love getting daily photos of each of the dogs every morning . Our lab is in heaven staying in the big dog facility , safe and secure , getting lots of exercise and play time with the “new friends “ he makes with fellow boarders. Our 2 small dogs feel right at home getting to stay in the main house. We appreciate how Krissy and Eric are super accommodating to the needs of each dog . It is such a comfort knowing our boys are being well cared for as well as loved on while we are away .
Our regular kennel didn’t have availability for the weekend we needed so I checked out Critter Happiness on a whim and SO happy I did! They had great communication on what they needed from me as a new customer, clear directions on how to find their facility and what all I would need to bring. Their outdoor area was super clean and well shaded. Lots of space for the dogs to run around, even in their individual kennels. Even throughout my trip they sent me updates and pictures. And their prices are phenomenal compared to other local places. We will be returning customers!!
We are thrilled to have found Krissy and Eric to take care of our girl. We feel so lucky to have found a place that we are comfortable taking Nora to. Krissy and Eric are incredibly kind and flexible. Sometimes I think Nora has more fun at “camp” than she does at home! Krissy goes above and beyond to make sure each pup is taken care of and I fully trust she and her family with our fur baby.
Krissy and Eric have an amazing facility at Critter Happiness. We had recently adopted a pittie mix and were anxious to board him while we were on vacation. We came across Critter Happiness and had an introductory call with Krissy before deciding to give them a try. When we arrived to drop off our pup, Eric was there to greet us and give us a tour - we were blown away by property. They have created the ultimate summer camp for dogs with immaculate outdoor dog runs, play areas, and a trailer to ensure your dog sleeps safely at night. Krissy was great about sending us photos and updates everyday, which gave us peace of mind that our fur baby was being taken care of. Another big draw for us is that it is a smaller boarding facility, so we knew our dog would not be overwhelmed and receive plenty of attention/interaction. This place is truly a 10/10!
Our dogs Franc and Milo have boarded with Critter Happiness on several occasions for the past year and we couldn't be happier with the experience! Krissy & Eric are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure our dogs felt comfortable and at ease. The facility is spacious, and well-maintained, with plenty of room for the dogs to play and exercise. We are particularly impressed with the large, outdoor play area which is not your typical long, dark, narrow boarding kennel. Our dogs have boarded with those other types of facilities and absolutely abhor them! Krissy provided daily updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing that the dogs were having a great time. It was clear that they genuinely care about the dogs and treat them like family. Franc & Milo come home happy, healthy, and tired from all the fun they had. We highly recommend Critter Happiness to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and engaging environment for their furry friends.
We are very happy with the way that Krissy and her family care for our dog, Riley. He has stayed with them for many stays over the past year and he has always been well cared for and loved during his visits. We get daily updates and a photo or 2 of our boy playing with other dogs or just looking happy and smiling! We have confidence in the care that he receives from Krissy and highly recommend her as a dog sitter!
Left my 3 doggies here for a week and they loved it! MK was very responsive to all my texts and they did such a good job taking care of our babies while we were away.
This facility has been taking care of my dogs for years and I cannot recommend it enough. I travel a lot, both for work and pleasure, and don't have family in the area so it's very important to me that I have a reliable, responsible, and trustworthy facility to take care of my dogs. Mary Kay has always been wonderful. She takes a personal and vested interest in the wellbeing of my babies and communicates frequently. This last 4th of July I was going to be out of town and leaving my dogs for the first time. They are terrified of fireworks and I too was terrified to leave them. I mentioned to Mary Kay that I was nervous and she immediately responded with a long, detailed and empathetic email addressing all of the ways they handled the dogs on the fourth to make sure they were comfortable, including having loud fans and putting on talk radio for the dogs. I greatly appreciated her long and thoughtful response and the actions they took to make the dogs comfortable. All of the other staff at this location have always been friendly, attentive and responsible. I have left my dogs here for weeks at a time and they are always happy and healthy when I pick them up. My dogs are also jumpers and diggers and the staff pays special attention to these concerns and put them in the jump proof play yard. The facility is wonderful, the staff is great, their prices are fair and I wouldn't board anywhere else. I've tried other boarding facilities in the past throughout the county and none come close to Rocky Canyon
We had a great experience boarding our dog here for 2 weeks. You can tell the owner and workers are very sweet and really care for your pets while your away. I highly recommend this kennel!
I absolutely love Rocky Canyon Kennels! They have a beautiful facility and the staff is amazing. My dog gets excited to go stay when she does. They treat her like family. I would highly recommend this is the kennel you choose to keep your family member safe during your travels.
Seems like a nice place. I dropped my dog off for a free day of doggy day care (complimentary, nice touch), after learning that they don't socialize dogs on a first visit (was going out of town, needed care for a weekend and thought it would be possible to socialize him for the weekend after the day at day care), just to learn at drop off that they won't socialize a pit bull mix at all. Very disappointed to have a discriminatory kennel in town that seemed very nice at first. They will not have my business.
My dog is social and friendly but very attached and has moderate to severe separation anxiety so I had always avoided leaving him with strangers and especially a kennel. We left him overnight for basically 2 full days in August and again for the day in October. He loves it here! The people are all friendly and the women running the place clearly just loves dogs. If you live around here or are up for a nice weekend of wine tasting - I would highly recommend this place for you pup! Only bad part - you need to call a in advance, they seem to always be booked on the weekends, a good sign that my experience is the norm here. Cheers!
We have boarded our 3 small dogs at Rocky Kennel for five years now. They do a terrific job taking care of them. I highly recommend.
Our dog has stayed here for 6plus weeks and is very excited and happy to be there. He is an older dog and played with other older dogs. He was happy and healthy when we picked him up.
Not a customer, only a potential one who had preliminary information by calling. - Called multiple times, no answer. - Finally someone answered and said she was too busy to answer question. - Email? Not available - Website? Sure "Your application form and website give conflicting info, which one is correct?" Neither. In the end, I could not figure out what they really offered or wanted for this business. It's a 1-star review based on preliminary experienxe. Waste of time.
Great kennel. We have a blind older dog and she always gets special treatment to make her feel comfortable and safe.
