Kind, responsible solo female traveler
Megan was dependable, communicative, friendly, and over all a pleasure to interact with. We had great communication and I felt very comfortable entrusting our animals to her. She was very responsive during the sit and offered to go the extra mile for us when we thought we might be away an extra night. I would say your house and home are in good hands with Megan

John was very personable and made this sit happen after having a car accident a few days before. He loved Pepper and gave him loads of love. Pepper needed medication which he did and did what no other sitter has ever done…he brushed his teeth daily , that’s dedication! We were in Scotland and had cummication every day. Thank you John. A pleasure meeting you!

Clean, reliable homeowners with humble roots + extensive travel / pet experience
Crystal and Chad looked after our 2 dogs and cat while we were overseas for nearly three weeks. They had come from the US to housesit in NZ and were super thorough in making sure they had all the information they needed... Actually they are way more experienced in housitting than we are! Communication while we away was excellent and from the updates we got it seemed the pets had a better holiday than we did! Best of all was coming back from close to 24hrs of travelling and the house was super tidy. Would recommend them as guests for sure!

Kind and respectful, ready to water some plants and pet some puppies
I would have Jessica back to look after my dog anytime! My dog was so calm and relaxed when I got home and had clearly had a lovely time. She can be quite reactive with other dogs but Jessica dealt with this easily. My flat was beautifully clean and tidy when I returned. She is also very lovely, kind and calm; exactly the sort of person you want caring for your loved pets. Thank you Jessica 😊

Friendly, responsible, and ready to treat your home and pets as we would our own
We've absolutely loved having Jeanette care for our pup and home for the 3rd time now. We trust her and Mark, and everything just goes smoothly. Highly recommend!

Rose and mark were fantastic. Very professional and caring sitters. I never felt that I needed to worry about anything. They left my home in the condition as if they had never been there. I, absolutely couldn't have been more impressed and pleased.

Remote young professional looking to explore!
Abbie was phenomenal! This was certainly the most difficult and eventful sit we've ever handed off to anyone and we were lucky to have her for it. She was so communicative, adaptable, reliable, and handled all the unexpected events with understanding and good humor. Our dog Tuna is people-shy, dog-reactive and had a health scare prior to the sit, so Abbie had some extra responsibilities from the start. In addition to the daily medical updates we requested, she also sent extra photos and little snippets of their daily happenings. We could see how comfortable Tuna was getting with her! When Tuna refused to go down our usual off-leash trails for unknown personal canid reasons, Abbie pivoted and explored until she was able to find an alternate route for long walks. Leash walking around a neighborhood is never as fun as off-leash trails, but Abbie was committed to getting Tuna's daily exercise in and safely led her through the local traffic (tricky when your nosy dog likes watch oncoming cars from the middle of the road). When a large loose dog charged at them, Abbie kept Tuna calm and kept both dogs safely separated until the owner was able to wrangle their dog back inside. We came back to a clean house, happy plants, and of course, a happy Tuna. We'd recommend Abbie anywhere!

CHOOSE ME! I will love on your pets, spoil them and they will love me1
Adrienne is such a warm, fun, outgoing lady. She took wonderful care of Harley & Rusty, walking them at least twice a day. She definitely bonded with them. She sent pictures & kept us updated while we were gone. Adrienne seemed to enjoy her time here (taking lots of pictures). She met many of our neighbors & their dogs. It was nice she came a full day ahead of time so that we could show her around The Villages, especially getting around in our golf cart to restaurants, grocery stores, an entertainment area & swimming pool. After driving Adrienne around in the golf cart the day she arrived, my husband had her drive the golf cart the next morning before we left so she could get familiar with driving it. She did struggle with finding her way around in the golf cart after we left, even though we left maps of The Villages & told her about The Villages app with GPS. Because she was uncomfortable getting around in the golf cart, she asked a neighbor to help her & he took her to get groceries. We feel bad that she wasn't able to find her way around while she was here. We've labelled the light/fan switches in the house. Some of the switches (indicated with a red dot) control lights that are on a timers and we informed Adrienne about the meaning of the red dot. She must have accidentally manually turned off the living room light that was on a timer and didn't realize it, so it was dark in the living room. We typically leave out extra light bulbs in case one goes out. Well, we forgot this time to leave them out & of course, a bulb in the guest bedroom went out while we were gone. But Adrienne was self sufficient & used the lantern I left. Upon our return, she indicated she didn't contact us to find out where extra bulbs were because the lantern worked fine; so glad she found a solution! The only downside of this sit was the cleanliness of our home upon our return. Our dogs primarily stay in the enclosed lanai & they go outside through the lanai door. When they come in from outside, dried grass comes in on their paws (especially when it's damp outside) so we're totally understanding about grass in the lanai. However, there was a lot of dried grass in the house, especially the kitchen. When I mentioned it to Adrienne, she said it must have come in on her shoes because the dogs had not been in the house. Also, something had run over in the microwave & hadn't been cleaned up so I had to clean the microwave before I could use it the night of our return. Dishes were left in the dishwasher. Adrienne did wash the guest bedroom sheets before we came home, but she stayed the night of our return & slept in the bed again (she said she only sleeps on the very edge of the bed so the other side was clean for the next people using the guest bedroom). We really liked Adrienne & she was excellent with our dogs, which is the most important thing! We would ask her to sit for us again with our expectations of home cleanliness.

Free-spirited pet sitter, who’s super simple, attentive, knowledgeable & kind
Our cats love Gigi. She is a superior communicator. She shares pictures of the cats with us while we are away, which my wife loves. Gigi takes great care of our home as well, which is a nice bonus and unlike other sitters we have used. She's a gem.

Kim and Chip were outstanding! I’d give 10 stars for each category. Plus they had great communication and pics. The house was spotless and most importantly Jonas was relaxed and calm when I got home (other than jumping around to see me). I’d highly recommend for any sit and will hopefully get to use them in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jeannette was the absolute best pet sitter anyone could ask for! She was communicative and easy going. She took very good care of the house, but most importantly she took superb care of my dog, Bodhi. She took him on long walks and fun adventures everyday. While I was out of the country, I received pictures and updates of their "vacation". I loved seeing Bodhi's and Jeannette's smiles in all the photos. They definitely bonded. :) I would highly recommend Jeannette as a pet sitter and also as an excellent person who cares about people, animals, and the planet.
This was our first time using a pet or house sitter and the bar set by Leslie is very high! She is warm, friendly, communicative, responsible and very clean. Upon arriving, she immediately bonded with our rat terrier, Oreo, by bringing him a new frisbee (his favorite toy/activity) and throwing it for him in our backyard. Leslie has a sweet and mellow dog, Benny, who is now Oreo's new buddy! She kept my husband and I updated via texts/pictures of their daily activities, our house, and was proactive in asking questions before she left. She even dropped our dog off at the kennel for one night at the end of our trip since our flight was too late for us to get home for him! Our home was clean and had fresh flowers from our garden that she put in vases for us! Such a simple and nice touch! We have asked Leslie to come back to sit for us again for 2 weeks in August. I'd highly recommend her to take care of your pet(s) and home too!
Tina was a fantastic house/pet sitter for my cat Trixie - I can’t recommend her enough! She was very communicative and also self sufficient and I felt completely at peace with Trixie in her care. She took it upon herself to water my plants and also trimmed Trixie’s nails, which I always struggle with! She provided perfect company for Trixie, playing with her, brushing her, loving her and giving her daily medicine. She also left my apartment in perfect condition. I would gladly have Tina pet sit again. A 10/10 experience.
Anant was a great sitter and a friendly guy. Kept me up to date re his arrival and with Marie & Toulouse during the sit. Found my house exactly as I had left it. Would highly recommend Anant to other pet parents.
Megan was the perfect house sitter - got lots of updates and pics of my kitty, communicated well, was flexible and left the place spotless! Would definitely ask her to pet sit again!
Erin was a great pet sitter who took such good care of little Chino. She was very reliable, kept us up to date with videos/pictures, looked after our home and kept it neat and tidy. She even left a thoughtful gift upon our return and was flexible with our travel plans. We would definitely recommend Erin for anyone looking for a reliable and friendly pet sitter!
Kyle was a great house sitter and pet sitter for us. We had a good dialogue prior to him sitting for us, and we also did a short walkthrough the week before. Kyle formed a great bond with our dog Charlie and also took good care of our rabbit Poppy. A couple of minor issues came up with systems in our home due to an unexpected power outage, and Kyle was quick to connect with us and then was able to work 1:1 with the service providers to resolve the issues. We look forward to working with Kyle again.
Angie and her husband Joe were a great fit for our house and pet sitting needs! They kept in communication with us before our vacation started, and were able to arrive a little early so we could walk them through how various systems worked and where controls were located. Our dog bonded with Angie very quickly and I think he was hoping she would stay after we returned home :) We got regular updates and pet photos while we were traveling. Although we were out of cell phone range for several days, we never had a doubt that things at home would be just fine while they were there! They were also very flexible and understanding. Due to our flight schedule we arrived home in the middle of the night. Angie was able to feed and walk our dog, clean up and leave in the morning without waking us up! The house was left clean, the garden was thriving and our pup was happy. We are happy, and would be happy to have them back again as sitters anytime.
Deboraj took great care of the apartment and of our goofy unsociable cat. She went out of her way to bring catnip and make friends with Rowan. She communicated often and cared to be as good a house and pet sitter as could be. I can gladly recommend her highly to anyone else looking. Thank you Deborah.
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith

I took my dogs here to try their boarding services. The staff is fantastic! They even offered me a tour of the facility which was clean, large and very impressive. The costs were competitive with other boarding houses. Gives me peace of mind that my dogs will be well cared for while at DogWood.
December 2024: Updating yet again to say that Dogwood remains amazing. May 2023: Updating to say that we STILL LOVE Dogwood! This is the ONLY place we've successfully left our anxious rescue dog - multiple times. He LOVES going there, and the staff are SO kind and knowledgeable. The prices may be higher than other places, but we find them to be very reasonable considering all that he gets (private room, individual attention, special consideration for his anxiety) - AND considering that we don't experience any regression in his anxiety or behaviors after he comes home from a week-long stay. This is HUGE for us. We're very grateful for Dogwood and the amazing folks who work there and care for our sweet Hyde. Summer 2022: Dogwood is AMAZING! We have been worried about boarding our sweet, anxious rescue pup, but he LOVES Dogwood. We picked him up from his first overnight, and he literally whined while looking back at Dogwood as we pulled away, haha. It's wonderful to have found somewhere we can trust to care for our dog when needed. The staff have all been very kind and helpful, the facility and property are gorgeous, and dropoff/pickup are a breeze. It feels way less hectic than other places we've tried. Thank you!
My dog always looks so great after her grooming. They truly love the animals
Our husky, Nitro has been going to Dogwood since he was 4 mths. old- every Monday for DayPlay and he’ll be 7yrs. this coming January❣️ He gets “beyond “ excited pulling in every week and has a blast playing with his friends 🐾 The whole staff and Pat are highly exceptional, caring for Nitro‘s needs and goes above and beyond caring for him!!
My doggos are always happy to visit for "spa day" once a month. The staff loves animals and it shows!
Professional and clean! Our dogs love staying here while we are away. They have great facilities and services on top of boarding. Our dogs enjoy their day play so they can interact with other dogs and run, run, and run. Their grooming is also top notch. One of our dogs struggles with getting their nails trimmed but Dogwood takes time to make them comfortable. Close to town and conveniently located. I would give them a call!
We love the staff at Dogwood! They take care of our pets like they were their own. We know the dogs have had a great time when they sleep for two days after they come home!
This place respects your pet the same way you'd want them to. My dog has advanced social so much there. They threw her a birthday party 🥲 …
Our dog has a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoys day play and overnights at Dogwood. The staff provide a great environment for the animals are are very kind. The facility is clean and our pup is always well taken care of.
I love Dogwood Kennel. I have two dogs, and they stay in a suite that has a doggy door so they can let themselves out into a run during the daytime. There is also a large fenced area in which they're allowed to romp together. The facility is the cleanest I've seen. The staff is helpful, and they seem very relaxed and loving toward all of the animals. I have no complaints. It's so nice to be able to go away and know my dogs are happy and safe at Dogwood.
Love bringing my dog here! He's a Border Collie mix so definitely lots of energy without daycare! I tried the other daycares in the area, but none fit my wants as much as this one! I love getting the notifications of dog photos, and the other day he came home with a Christmas present! I'll always recommend this place!
I had an issue with my dogs still smelling after I picked them up from boarding and a grooming. Honestly I was very upset since it wasn’t the first time. (First time never said anything) but the staff went ABSOLUTELY ABOVE AND BEYOND. I would highly recommend this place for your pups!
Showbiz is awesome! They get to know your dog personally and treat them like their own! Luna can’t wait to get to daycare in the mornings!
I use these guys for overnight stays and dog grooming. High marks on both. Very accommodating.
They're amazing with the dogs, they actually remember their names and know their personalities. Leonidas loves going there to get a bath
awesome! came here for the first time and it was great! my son looks so handsome now! will be coming back for sure. 😊 …
I took my 14 year old cocker spaniel to Show Biz. She is an old girl and needs extra care and time when grooming. They have been so good with her! They communicate well with how she did and have been so kind to our baby girl. Thank you for going above and beyond with our old girl.
I took my German Shepherd mix here and they did a GREAT job. He came back so shiny and soft. They took out all of his undercoat so he sheds way less and is so much more comfortable in the summer heat. I was also impressed that there was NO slight-wet-dog-smell underneath the shampoo smell; He smelled really good! Highly recommend
My dog loves going here. Comes home tired and happy.
We started taking our dog here to work on his anxiety issues. Admittedly he is high maintenance but they said they could work with him. We had to take a few weeks off when my mother-in-law passed away. When I emailed to set an appointment I was told that our dog takes too much time and they were getting too busy to help him. If you have a perfect dog I suppose they are a good place to go. Just don't believe tjem when they say they can work with your dog's issues.
I am so grateful to have found Pawsitive Pets after relocating to the Greater Lafayette area in 2023. Pawsitive Pets is able to convey proven, research-based information in a way that is understandable and actionable for pet owners. I am working with Patrick and his team to improve my skills as a pet owner to help mitigate our dog's reactivity. Our dog Bailey loves Patrick and his team members, which says a lot because she is slow to accept new people. Pawsitive Pets in-home dog sitting has also been wonderful for Bailey. She is comfortable and calm when we return home from out-of town trips. They have been very attentive to Bailey's needs.
Can’t say enough good things about Pawsitive Pets. Patrick Holland is a terrific trainer, working with both my dog and myself. I’ve learned how to ‘read’ my dog’s actions and what I need to do to get the desired behavior. Their dog walking service is also great - dependable and fairly priced. Would definitely recommend them.
They are amazing, they helped shape my oldest Beau into an amazing dog. We got his at 8 months old and we were having a lot of problems with him. He was not understanding other dogs body language and was called a rude puppy, he was also so awful to walk. I remember sitting on the snow crying thinking my son will never walk peacefully without pulling. We tried to get him classes but in his evaluation he was called hopeless, and that he might never be able to integrate into playgroups. Patrick did not have that attitude, instead he worked with us to shape my Beau and now he is on his way to become the best puppy ever. We now have Bear as a new addition to our family, and Khaz is working with us to help get his confidence up and to catch-up to his brother. We also got to learn about dogs in general which makes our interactions with people and other dogs better. We also use their playgroups. Hilary and the others take such good care of my children just like they are their own. I really love working with Pawsitive Pets and I hope they will keep providing my children with the best education I can get them.
They took excellent care of my girls while I was away! Daily pictures kept me at ease and my girls absolutely adored them coming to see them. I also appreciated knowing my kiddos were getting some 3 on 1 attention and I think they were as relaxed as they could be with mom away and a weird routine. I'll definitely be using Pawsitive Pets again!
Pat Holland has been my pet’s trainer since the Pandemic. He is an exceptional trainer. He uses evidence based practices and facilitates a calm environment for my extremely anxious dog. Pawsitive Pets has been a God sent for my fur baby. They set realistic goals and expectations and creates a personalized lesson plan for your pet. I don’t trust many people with my fur baby, but with Pawsitive Pets I know my pets will be in the best hands. I wish I had contacted Pawsitive Pets sooner, because the values and principles the company stands for are phenomenal and should not be taken for granted. Thank you Pawsitive pets for everything.
I've worked with Pawsitive Pets for over a year now and have seen such growth in both of my dogs. They both have issues with anxiety and Patrick has worked with them to the point where we can comfortably walk them around the neighborhood, parks, and campus. Their in-home behavior has also really improved. And Patrick has taught me a lot about how to work with both dogs outside of the training. Highly recommend!
I had a great experience with Pawsitive Pets! My 1 year old terrier mix Ivy is a great dog but had some problems like door darting, running away, excessive energy, jumping on people, pulling excessively on leash, storm phobia, nail trim phobia, and problems playing with other dogs. I didn't want to do a 6-week training program through a place like Petsmart because it wouldn't focus on Ivy's specific problems and wasn't the best learning environment for her (she is easily distracted). I picked Pawsitive Pets over other places cause I like that the trainer, Patrick, would do training sessions at places where the problem was (my apartment, park, etc) instead of a training facility. The training plans were easy to follow and I liked the homework and training charts that came with so I could easily keep track of progress. I also really appreciated Patrick's flexibility as we had to reschedule some lessons. He really knows his stuff and there was no issue asking questions. A couple weeks later and Ivy sits patiently while guests enter instead of darting out the door and she used to scream and snap during nail trims (it used to take 3 people). Now I can touch her feet and nails by myself in my room with her calm. Super happy and glad I went with Pawsitive Pets. Attached is a photo of my dog super relaxed outside when she used to be crazy and energized!
I can’t recommend Pawsitive Pets and their services enough. We used them to help get our 1 year old Boxer puppy ready for the arrival of her little human brother and the lessons helped us a ton. Patrick and his staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and extremely helpful. We are also regular users of their dog walking services on days when both my wife and I have to work. They are very accommodating to our schedule needs and our pup always is extremely excited to see them when they arrive. I will continue to be a regular client and recommend them to all my friends and family in the area.
We are so happy to have found a real professional trainer that has a focused passion for dogs that’s infectious. Patrick has transformed a highly anxious, sensitive, and aggressive rescue dog into a more manageable version of himself. While acknowledging that we as primary handlers had many changes to make ourselves, Patrick and company have been fully engaged in all aspects of growth. If we could give 10 out of 5 stars we would. Thanks for all the heartfelt love you’ve given to our fur family Pawsitive Pets!!
Can’t not recommend them enough. Patrick and his staff are AMAZING!! When I found them it was my last resort for help. I probably didn’t go more than two days without my dog biting me. Patrick was able to help me better understand my dog and the signals she was giving me. He helped repair our relationship. Their prices are also extremely reasonable! They have multiple different services they provide so make sure to check out everything they offer.
We use them when we're in laffayette camping and we board are girl there for a day once in awhile and they are very nice and friendly and prices are fair
I had a very bad experience here. I don't want to get into all the details because the owner said "we would have trouble if I posted a negative review that wasn't factual." Rather than argue with her about the facts I will just say that my dog was attacked at this daycare. The owner chose to handle the situation by calling me two days after the attack and telling me our daycare package would be refunded and she wasn't comfortable with us returning. The dog that attacked him is apparently remaining at the daycare. I wanted to know how the dogs would be kept separate moving forward. The owner said she wouldn't discuss that and felt it was best to terminate the relationship. In my opinion this situation was handled very poorly.
Great place! Our big 11 month puppy seemed to be pretty happy. Place is clean - did not have any funky smells - for having a ton of dogs there over 4th of July weekend, I would say that's a good sign great price too for a 3 day stay. Our dog was clean and happy when we picked him up.
Our dogs LOVE going here. We have been to a couple other places in town and they were NEVER excited when we would pull in. Our pomsky and Chihuahua mix go crazy when we pull in. It makes us feel so much better knowing they love it there!!
Doug absolutely loves spending time at the Dog House. Taking a well-deserved nap after day play.
I brought my dog here for the first time for 3 nights while going out of town. My dog has never been boarded or to a doggy daycare so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Drop off and pick up were easy. Rates were great. I asked for feedback on how my dog did during her stay and got a little feedback; maybe I would have liked more details/review of her stay. But overall I was pleased and will definitely use them again.
We have used them for a few years. Had decent service: nothing fancy. Our dog always shaked like a leaf going in. My wife suspected something was happening to her but I thought she was silly. UNTIL YESTERDAY. I picked up our dog. She came out crying. Was in obvious pain. She cried all night. Could not lay or sit. Absolutely terrified to go into our fenced in back yard. She has an injured leg, and the owner claims she “was perfectly fine.” She refuses to help with any medical costs and refuses to take any responsibility. The owner, Abby, claims she was the only person who let our dog out. We will never go back.
I have used the Dog House for years now and never been disappointed, I was allowed to look at the kennels area . Good costumer service 💕picture of my new pup for attention ❤️ …
I have been taking my dogs to the dog house for the past 4 years. My dogs LOVE to go here. Every time I pick them up they are always happy. I know part of it is because they finally get to see me after a week :) The staff seem to be very loving to the animals as well. The groomer does an amazing job with the dogs too. I would recommend this place to anyone!
My dog loves it here and have nothing short of exceptional service here. We've been a customer here for a year now and wouldn't take our business anywhere else. It's incredibly affordable compared to the other kennels in town too!
I paid back last July over $300. Was not aware my passes would expire. I guess I forgot to read the part of their regulations that said if you had cancer, you had to let them know soon as possible in order to hold your passes. Must’ve missed that part. I developed cancer so my dogs did not go there while I was recovering and getting my strength back after radiation. They will not refund my money, and I have six passes that expired and the money is no longer there for me to use. I never thought of having to let them know of my cancer in order to keep my passes. My dog stayed home with me while I was recovering. Radiation can take a toll on a person who’s had cancer. They are excellent what they do, but I’m not willing to pay again for money I already paid. Lesson learned next time I get Cancer let everybody know in advance. It would’ve been nice for them to apologize and say something to the affect, I’m sorry you got cancer. How about we give you if you come back, we give you six credits so you can bring your dogs back to our facility. My dogs absolutely loved coming there. But I guess I will have to find some other place that is willing to work with cancer survivors. that forget to let their daycare know they have cancer and then they’re staying home getting rest and getting their strength back again.
Bertie has been going to pooch palace for over a year, he loves his visits. The care the staff gives is unbelievable! Thanks everyone at the palace xx
Pouch Palace just amazed me. I couldn’t recognize my dog. And they gave her a scarf, which is so cute. She looks like a princess. Pouch palace is the best for all beauty services!!
Pooch Palace is the first grooming and boarding facilities that my Alpha dog has ever been to. He is a large dog, but they know how to handle him and he is very friendly with their staff. I am very impressed with how well they handle him and don’t wish to go anywhere else. He is well taken care of and I appreciate the care that they give to our family member.
We love Pooch Palace! Our dog always seems to be well cared for, loves to go and never seems distressed when we bring her home. We had utilized Pooch Palace's daycare, boarding and grooming and have been happy with all of them!
Amazing!! I am so happy with the results of the grooming! We got the Platinum Paw package done on our toy poodle. She looks the best she’s ever been after a grooming. We love the way she looks and feels. They even filed her nails down, so they aren’t sharp at all. Her fur was so well rounded, we were impressed. Loved the whole experience. The groomer was so sweet and easy to talk to. She helped us figure out exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend their grooming service!
Pooch palace did an excellent job with our mini golden doodle. Our pup had never had a grooming done before, and her coat was in awful shape before we dropped her off. I was a bit nervous to leave her there since it was her first time, but we could tell she had so much fun when we picked her up. She almost didn't want to leave the place! Her fur looks fantastic now and is so soft. Here's her before and after photos.
Went just for an hour long playdate with trainer Kassie. The other 4 dogs were very playful and well behaved and my puppy had an awesome time. Money and time well spent. Edit: it happens every 2 weeks and my puppy loves going to socials.
Great place! My dog loves going to play at Pooch Palace, when we turn into the parking lot he starts whining to get out of the car. Everyone is so pleasant and easy to talk to. They do great for boarding also. I would highly recommend.
The staff are friendly, my dog loves going, and it's clear they are great with him. It's nice to have a place I can trust to take care of my dog and treat him well.
Taylor was fantastic for our high maintenance belgian malinois. She made sure she was well exercised during our week vacation and kept her on her normal schedule. I love that our pup got to stay home where she’s comfortable. I never worried about her and Taylor stayed in contact with updates.
Needed a last second person to watch my dog and Taylor did an amazing job. My dog spent the whole week getting to play with other dogs, run around in a yard, nap on a couch, and take trips to town. Taylor is amazing with dogs and would highly suggest anyone with dogs that love to be with other animals check this business out
Our dogs love Taylor and we appreciate the love and care she shows them. She is highly dependable and we trust her in our home.
Taylor loves animals and enjoys teaching them basic commands. She is a honest person and doesn’t leave messes or anything when she pet sits. She takes good care of the animals.
My dog is very nervous in new spaces, but the team at Petsburgh has been nothing but amazing with her. I have boarded with them 5 times now, and every visit has been great. They take the time to provide personalized care to your animal and will give you updates during their stay! They are also extremely reasonable with boarding and grooming costs. I am still in college, so it has been great for my dog, my wallet, and peace of mind when I head out of town.
We have been clients of Petsburgh for over 20 years and have always been happy with their services and care of our pets. I highly recommend them for their grooming, boarding and veterinary services! All of them provide excellent care of our babies… present and past. Thank you, Petsburgh! ❤️ 🐶🐶🐱 Bodhi, Maisy, & Pippa 👼🏻👼🏻Lucy & Gracie
I have been taking my dog to Petsburgh for years and they are wonderful. Everyone there is kind, knowledgeable, and patient. My dog has been nervous around the vet since she got an ear infection and had to have her ears cleaned, but every time we go in they work hard to put her at ease and make it a position experience for her. At every appointment they are thorough and take time to answer all my questions.
My cats vet closed suddenly and I was not about to go without a good veterinarian and establishment to care for my cat Rex. I contacted Petsburgh and from the scheduling of the appointment until the end of the visit, I could not have been more impressed! The staff was friendly and kind and Dr. Shutes was thorough and very patient kind and did a great job with Rex, he was caring and he addressed everything on our first baseline visit Price point is worth the services and treatment received, I was very happy we found a new Vet!
Our dog had to have a teeth cleaning and 2 teeth removed. The staff was great from start to finish. They explained everything about the surgery and the after care. Great place
Our dog Mackey loves his groomers at Petsburgh. He sees Crystal the most and he adores her! His cut is always perfect and he seems happy with her. I love that you can ask for them to have some play time with a bather and they will give your dog extra play and love during the day. We’ve used Crystal at Petsburgh for over 6 years and she continues to impress us.
Excellent team, they are caring and honest. They always treat myself and my dog very well. Would recommend to anyone needing vet or grooming services for their animals!
I called a few weeks ago to get my two dogs groomed here for the first time. The girl I spoke with was super sweet and friendly, she sent me the paperwork I needed via email, I sent her the vet records and my appointment was set with a very smooth process!! Today I took both my dogs in, was greeted by a very friendly girl at the front desk, had two girls come get my dogs, super sweet as well. Picked my dogs up a few hours later and couldn’t be happier, they smell so good and are clean and fluffy!!! Made my next appointment to see them again in 6 weeks. Would highly recommend them!!!
We have taken our dog to Petsburgh Boarding for five years. The staff is always enthusiastic to see Finn and provides us with check-ins and photos throughout his stay. They have many services to choose from, too, like extra play time, a treat bar, and doggy play group. Best of all, Finn loves to go! His tail wags as soon as we say “Petsburgh”. Also shout out to Lindsey in grooming! He loves his festive neckerchiefs. Thanks for keeping a our shaggy doodle spiffy:-)
Gracie loves doggie day care! Taylor is an amazing manager and her staff as well! We have been clients of petsburgh for 30 plus years. We love how comfortable and happy Gracie is there! Thank you! 🥰 …
Klondike Kennels takes excellent care of my dog when I board him. The staff is always friendly and pricing is straightforward. If you're looking for a place that will care for your pet while you're away, look no further! The fact that they have a vet on staff (the Blair Animal Clinic is in the same building) is reassuring in case something happens to my pup while I'm away.
I enrolled my furry little one in the Klondike Canine Academy before the start of the pandemic and when he was a puppy. I had him enrolled in courses until the situation did not allow for him to participate. I enrolled him in courses there because they came highly recommend from a friend and a Purdue professor. Layla and Emily are excellent instructors. They are also very kind, patient, and very helpful in helping pet parents like me understand and interact with our furry little children in a more meaningful manner. I believe the training my little one and I received through their courses gave him a solid foundation to be good, kind, loving, and obedient doggie citizen. The courses also empowered me to have the most pleasant and efficient communication and training interactions with my furry log/loaf, from which I still benefit to this day. I highly recommend, if you have a puppy and can enroll him/her in their puppy obedience course that you do. It is worth every penny and will help you have a more calm and solid relationship with your furry little (or big) one(s).
If I could give this place a 10 star rating, I would! We got a beagle puppy last summer and wanted to make sure she got off to a great start as far as getting along with others dogs - and people. Plus, we needed to find a quality place to take her when we were going to be gone - either for the day or for a week at a time. Our neighbors recommended Klondike Kennels. Wow - were they ever right! My first impressions were great! The staff was friendly and helpful - and gave me a tour of the facilities and their diverse services - all the while asking lots of specific questions about Cassie and her needs. (Let me add, my husband and I are empty nesters, so our little beagle rocks our world!) We especially like that they know all about our dog - and the other pets there - much more so than the owners. The animals come first! Cassie has been treated with TLC every time she has stayed there - which is often! They have a very reasonable Day Boarding option - which we use for Cassie on the days that both of us have to work full days. She gets lots of special attention from the staff - and gets a chance to go outside several times throughout the day. The EXTRA plus is that if she Day Boards on a Wednesday or Friday - she also gets to go out for Play Groups for 2 hours of off-leash frolic with other dogs. The play group sessions (offered through Klondike Canine Academy) are supervised by trained dog behaviorists, so I know Cassie won't pick up any bad playing habits - and will be safe while playing with other dogs. We decided to do the day boarding so that Cassie would be accustomed to the kennels before we needed to leave her for a week at a time - and this idea worked like a charm. Her fist time being there for a week went great. They took good care of her - and she was a clean and happy dog when we picked her up. Not a bit over-stressed. Cassie loves it at Klondike Kennels. She tries to run into the kennel area when I bring her - and she knows and loves all of the staff - as they do her. I'm so glad that I know about Klondike Kennels - and I highly recommend it to any pet owner. The staff will make sure your pet is well taken care of.
So far, we are able to get availability for boarding mostly on weekends, and even during long weekends. Their Playgroup assessment and Playgroup activities are nice, where our pet is monitored always with a staff, and they are allowed to play with dogs only with their temperament levels. Friendly staff, and mostly interactive. Haven't had any issues so far. Will definitely use them for Boarding, day care and Playgroup activities.
It's been years since I boarded my dogs at this place, but I decided to write about my experience so others might avoid Klondike Kennels. I was unable to get at an appointment at our regular kennel, so I decided to try this one. Typically, my dogs stay in a suite. Klondike did not have suites, but told me they could put the dogs alone in a small room off of the reception room. I agreed that this would be ok. However, when I returned to pick them up, they were not alone in the room. They had been put into an x-pen in that room, with another dog housed in a crate in the same room. My dogs were at the time very young, strong, active whippets that could have been seriously injured while left unattended in that enclosure. Had I been asked, I never would have allowed them to be kept in that manner. To make matters (much) worse, when I arrived, there was no one at the reception desk. I called out, and no one answered. I walked to the room my dogs were in, and the door was unlocked! So literally anyone could have walked in and taken my dogs! I took them outside, then hung around until an employee finally showed up. Also, they left the dogs' custom made collars hanging on their leashes in the room, and the collars were chewed up and destroyed. They acted like that was no big deal, and offered to pay for the collars, which I refused. The did not offer an apology for not keeping my dogs secure. This experience was absolutely appalling. Do NOT board here!
I had taken my dog to Klondike Kennels for boarding probably 10 times with satisfactory stays. Sometimes my dog would come home covered in urine smell. Another time after a weekend at Klondike he was violently ill for a week before he finally passed a rope toy that the kennel employees must have given him. Then Monday I received a call regarding my dog's scheduled Thursday-Sunday stay, informing me that they were raising the price of boarding from $17.75 a night to $28.55 a night. That kind of price increase is absolutely unheard of. To pay almost double a night for the same mediocre dog boarding is asinine. Not to mention when I went to check the prices on their website, they still indicated it was the lower price. We complained to the manager via email and never got a response back. We cancelled immediately and will never return.
My 2 dogs are starting their 3rd year at Blair/Klondike Kennels. They love going to play groups. It gives them great off leash activity and interaction with other dogs in a safe environment. I do not have to worry about them getting attacked by a dog that is overly aggressive and may have an owner that is clueless or worse be the cause the aggression. You can tell that the play group monitors love their jobs. And the dogs love them - you can see that first hand, when a dog arrives and they run right up to say hi. I have learned a lot from the monitors that has helped me with my dogs in other situations when they encounter new acquaintances. I also take them both to Blair Clinic for their medical needs. One dog is just a healthy low maintenance boy, but my older dog has several health issues and I feel that Dr. Banker has done a great job keeping her issues under control and with a minimum of testing and probing. - so that my dog is not stressed by going into the office. She also had experienced a torn ACL last fall and the laser treatments that were offered as part of her rehab really sped up her recovery. I would highly recommend the clinic and the playgroups for any one who is looking for a place with heart to take their dogs.
The one time that I ever had to take my dog to this kennel was due to the temporary closure of my usual location, and I am certainly going to seek other options than Klondike in the future! The front desk staff of the kennel section was incredibly off-put by the fact that I arrived (at the time I said I would, mind you...), and was incredibly short and rude. My dog (11 months old at the time) was very excited to be in a new place and happened to knock over a pamphlet that the woman had left hanging over the edge of her desk. After giving me a very rude look and heaving a sigh, I told her that I would be helping to clean up, to which she said, "I'm glad. I'll take your dog in the back now." I assumed that I would be more happily greeted upon my return, but it was the same receptionist. I again felt like I was interrupting something more important that she had going on that day. She went to the back and retrieved my dog, who I found was covered in feces and urine. When I asked how she was so dirty after a two-night stay, the woman indicated that when dogs become excited and make a mess in their cage, they can't always clean it up in a timely manner. I also paid for the extra playtime for my dog, but I highly doubt it was actually honored. My dog returned very much wild and clearly over-hyper as if she had not been outside in a very long time. In fact, when I got her home, she simply started running laps around my back yard -- something I had never seen her do before on her own! Bad service, horrible standards of cleanliness, and probable neglect of honoring what a customer pays for? This place, in my honest opinion, should not be in the business of trying to treat any living thing in a positive way.
Working in the veterinary field myself, and having 3 pets with complex medical issues, saying that I am picky when it comes to my pets care is an understatement! I can not say enough good things about the staff at Klondike Kennels, they go above and beyond in taking care of my dog and two cats! Their attention to detail is necessary when dealing with all of the care that is required for my 'kids'. I appreciate everything that they do, and do not hesitate to take my animals to them.
They charge by the DAY, not the night and not 24 hours. We arrived shortly before 6, the latest drop off time on Friday. Picked up at the same time on Sunday. We were charged for the whole day Friday - so 3 days. When I questioned the fee, the receptionist was very short. To top it off, my dog who has never had fleas came home with fleas. 🙁 However, I will say, the receptionist who checked us in was very kind and informative. I don't feel my dog was treated poorly in any way, just didn't feel that it was the best experience. We will most likely be going back to our previous kennel.
