Pet care was fantastic - Sassy kitty adored Jay followed him everywhere and shy Swissy kitty too! Jay made an effort to win over the kitties by creating comfort spots for them, played games, tummy rubs, sent pictures and updates. I felt completely at ease to be away. Jay took care of the house, plants, birds and all responsibilities as well as cleaning everything before he left (totally unexpected). It looked like I never left. Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! Melissa did an AWESOME job with our 4 pets! Her personal style and communication via text, video, and pics were stellar and super comforting while we were out of town for 2 weeks. She showed up before the sit to go over instructions for the pet care and was even here when we returned (before she left for her next engagement). You would never know this was her first TH sit. Milly was a lovely house sitter and I’d highly recommend her. She submitted a really great application and after a FaceTime chat it was an easy decision to choose her for our sit. She is the youngest sitter we’ve chosen but she has a maturity beyond her years and it was clear she had so much experience with animals that we felt confident leaving her in charge of our menagerie. Olive our young Pom has never been left with a sitter before so we were a little worried about how she would be but Milly was so patient, gentle and kind that she quickly won Olive over. So much so, on the morning Milly was leaving ,Olive would only let Milly put her harness on her before going for a walk. All the animals were perfectly cared for while we were away and we returned home to happy pets and a tidy house. Milly’s communication from our first contact and right through the sit was great and she even sent a lovely video of the dogs having fun on their walk. I’d have Milly back to housesit for us again anytime.

Heath spent a long weekend at my home taking great care of both dogs and the cat. He was able to help out on rather short notice, and I felt very comfortable leaving my pets in his care. Judy was fantastic! Rosie had a great weekend! The place is clean and very nice.
Judy is our regular groomer and is very gentle with our 14 year old small dog. She has also boarded our dog in the past and is good at making sure the dogs get individual attention throughout their stay. I highly recommend Nancy Jo's.
Our 100 pound lab was boarded for a week. He was happy and healthy when we returned. The staff was very informative before and after we boarded him. He needed "no lick" spray on a paw during his stay. They were able to put that on him, for a very small fee per application.
My dogs don't come home stinky! Most of the time boarding/kenneling my dogs need a bath immediately! I can happily say that not once but twice I've picked up my babies and they didn't stink like a kennel. She's so nice and accommodating. Will definitely be seeing her in the future.
Pam and Guy (previous owners) always took great care of my dogs while they were there for grooming or boarding. They always came home looking nice and wagging their tails. I did not have the same experience with the new owners. My dogs came home from from a 1 week stay very thin. I am not sure what happened while they were there, but my dogs will not be going back.
New owner and seems like she's carrying on the great reputation that the previous owner earned in our community. Judy seems like a very nice lady with friendly staff who cares about the dogs. Always seems pretty full boarding-wise and seems like a lot of grooming in and out when I've been there, as well. Looks like we've lucked out once again! :)
When I got my boy Kenny home. And really get to look at him. His hair was all chopped up and off. I keep Kenny's hair long.He is 13 years old. It has always been long. My normal groomer has moved. Kenny's hair now is all choppy,uneven, and short. His lower sides are long. He really doesn't look like Kenny. Any groomer can shave a dog's hair off and short. My boy is a shih tzu, Maltese . Friends of mine are shocked at the way my boy looks. And keeps on telling me his hair will grow back. I am just sick. But he is still my baby boy.
We have never boarded our dog before but needed to for an overnight stay. We dropped him off at 8 in the morning. We were told the dogs get walked a couple times a day. We also brought blankets and a couple toys for him to have in his kennel. We picked him up the next day about noon. I asked Judy if he was walked and her response was “no, I didn’t walk him. The first night the dogs usually like to relax” Are you kidding me?!? It was his ONLY night. He was there for 28 hours and was never taken out of that cage ONE time. His blankets and toys were never put in with him. We purposely wanted him to have his own things with his home scent. We will never go back there and never recommend this place to anyone. Sad
Judy does a great job grooming and boarding our pup. Our dog Lola loves her and the kennel is clean and well managed.
Our dog was well cared for and the owner is a extremely warm, caring person. Will use her kennel again.

First time leaving my fur baby for a long week on vacation. Sara has made relaxing on vacation so much easier! She keeps me updated and she even lets my puppy sleep with her! Nice big fenced yard for him to run around and have fun with her pups. Thank you Sara!
Sara is the best!! We highly recommend her grooming and pet-sitting services. We had been to two other groomers before trying her (mainly bc we didn't even know about her yet) and she did a fantastic job with our labradoodle! Our young labradoodle is very skittish around strangers. We were reluctant to leave him with anyone when we went on vacation, but he loved staying with her and acted sad when we brought him home. Don't think twice about leaving your pet with Sara, you won't be disappointed!!

You can tell they love dogs. Very efficient and organized. They easily accommodated our dog's need for 13 pills daily for seizures. We feel very comfortable that our dog is in capable compassionate hands
First time customer with my 2 dogs and I could not have been happier! From the moment I walked in the door I knew I had made a very good decision for my precious pups. The owner, Christine was friendly and personable. I felt like I was talking to a good friend. She gave me a tour of the facility and I was very pleased at how clean and organized it was. She was prepared to sign in my dogs and had me read over the policy before signing. When I left to leave town I felt secure that my dogs would be well cared for. when I returned Christine was there to greet me. She immediately went to get my dogs. Christine filled me in on how the dogs had done throughout their stay. The dogs looked happy and energetic. When we got home they promptly fell asleep so I knew they had had a lot of exercise. Thank you so much Christine for caring for my dogs the way I would. Lafayette Kennels will be my forever go to for dog boarding.
I can't believe I haven't posted a review before, as we've been regular customers for a couple of years. This is the only place we will leave our dogs - and Christine (owner) is literally the only person outside of the family that our anxious little doxie mix truly loves. She always goes way above and beyond to help us and to care for our dogs. Can't say enough good things about Lafayette Kennels!
This is the best kennel we've ever used. It's not a large kennel, and so Christine, the owner/operator, is giving all the dogs first hand care. She is highly experienced and professional, and knows how to handle dogs very well. We've been 30 yr dog owners, moved into the area 3 yrs ago and feel very fortunate to have found Christine and LaFayette Kennels. She was recommended by our Vet. We are retired and travel a lot, and we use the kennel 8-10 weeks per year. Our dog loves it there and is always very happy when we pull in and he sees Christine again.
Recently used this place for our pup. From now on...this will be the only kennel we will ever use to board her. Christine and Erin are fantastic and our fur baby has found a second home when we need to board her.
I trust this kennel with my best buddy and have used the facility in several trips. He’s spent dozens of days at Lafayette and I will continue to use into the foreseeable future. The staff is very personable and attentive to locating dogs and their kennel neighbors.
This is honestly the best place if you ever need to board your dogs! She was so accommodating of both of my dogs needs! She handles very excitable dogs amazingly and is fantastic with my anxious dog as well! My dogs were happy and healthy and you could tell they were well cared for while I was gone. My dog loves coming here. He practically jumped out of the car window to reach the door to the building entryway. If he is happy, I am happy. The owner is kind and attentive to the dogs. I recommend this place for you animal family member.
The owner is very nice and before last week we had no problems. Unfortunately, last week, after we picked up our dog we noticed some spots on one of his sides. I took him to the vet and was informed he had a bacterial infection probably from laying on a concrete flow that had bacteria on it. So who knows what they were doing to keep things clean but I don't think I will risk taking him back.
