I felt that my dogs were in good hands with Billy & Cherice - both pups seemed happy and well cared for when I returned from my 3-week trip. My home was also clean and tidy. This was my first experience using an unknown sitter and I felt nervous to leave my dogs for so long while traveling abroad. If they were to stay again I would request more regular photo updates, but otherwise was very happy with Billy and Cherice's pet and home care.
Lani is an excellent Pet Sitter and housesitter. Communication was easy, our pet Cleo appreciated her loving care. We came home to a relaxed and happy cat. I would happily ask Lani to housesit again.
Samantha and Scott are great sitters and we enjoyed hearing from them a couple of times while we were away. Our pets were very relaxed and happy too! Very happy to recommend them.
Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! We absolutely loved hosting Lisa and Sara and highly recommend them, they are some of the best sitters we have ever had and they're welcome back anytime!!
Great pet care. The house was clean and tidy. The sitters had great communication. Would recommend again!
Melissa did an AWESOME job with our 4 pets! Her personal style and communication via text, video, and pics were stellar and super comforting while we were out of town for 2 weeks. She showed up before the sit to go over instructions for the pet care and was even here when we returned (before she left for her next engagement). You would never know this was her first TH sit. She quickly earned our trust, asked for clarification when needed, and overall is just a GREAT PERSON!! Her kindness showed through in the care of each and every one of our furry babies. She will be a great sitter for others and is looking to travel across and see more of the US while remote working. We have adopted her into our family and she is welcome in our home anytime. Our whole family hopes to see her again-either for a visit and/or for a sit :) Thank you, Thank you, Melissa!!!
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Debra was a Great pet and house sitter !! She communicated well throughout our long trip and sent us frequent pictures of all of our pets. She watered our plants and brought in all the mail. Our home was immaculate when we arrived home and the dogs and cat were super happy !! I would recommend Debra as a wonderful, responsible and reliable pet and house sitter !
Kuldip exceeded all the expectations we had from a Zeewoi. She took over from another sitter when we got stuck out of country due to a family emergency. A highly energetic person yet extremely organized, she easily matched the energy level of my 2-year-old Border Collie Pavo. She not only exercised him multiple times every day, but even him bought him new doggy toys and treats (much appreciated!). She got along very well with our neighbor and with their combined help Pavo got a much needed doggy bath! With her by my dogs side we were worry-free and able to focus on our family needs. Lastly, she left a pleasant surprise when we came back home. Our home looked squeaky clean and beautifully organized. Kuldip is a gem of a pet sitter and we would love to have her back for our fur baby without any hesitation. I highly recommend her!
Jennifer was great and I would highly recommend her. Right from the start, Jennifer was clear and helpful in her communication, and she was very available to us throughout the stay via messaging. She sent pics of our fur babies regularly - without asking - which always makes us happy when we're away. And the biggest compliment I can give: when we came home, our pets were relaxed and happy, and no hidden cat messes to be found (we've had this happen with previous sitters a lot). I would love to have Jennifer stay at our home again in future.

The facility was clean and spacious and the owners are wonderful people. They made me feel comfortable when I dropped my dog off and when I picked him up he was bright and happy. This is definitely a wonderful kennel and I would both recommend and will go back in the future.
Nice clean kennels. Very friendly owners. We would definitely hire their "fur baby" services again.
We were traveling through town with our dogs and wanted a safe place to leave our pups while visiting Isle Royale National Park. The owner made me feel comfortable from the first phone call - and we had a great experience from start to finish. We are always hesitant to leave our dogs with people we don’t know but I would recommend Kozy Quincy Kennels to anyone and would be sure to use them again if I returned to the area. Thank you so much!
We had never boarded our 6 month old puppy before, and needed to board her far away from home to visit Isle Royale NP, but keep her with us on the rest of our long trip. Trisha took great care of her, and was very gentle and reassuring with me before we left her. The facilities were spotlessly clean, and our pup was well taken care of. Highly recommend!
The owner and her lovely daughter were sweet and helpful!!
Kenneled my 2 labs when visiting the area. Very clean facility and caring owners. Would definitely use again.
Clean, professional facility operated by a nice family that loves dogs! They treated our dogs very well and we will definitely use their services again.
We were very pleased with this kennel. The owners are easy to work with and the facility is immaculate. Highly recommend.
Very clean and dog friendly. We were impressed with how well our dog was treated.
Clean and well maintained. Accepted a reservation on a short notice. Good price. Friendly owners took good care of my dog.
Very pleased with Top Dog Kennels. Tom and Tina took great care of our German Shepherd and even replied with text messages to let us know how he was doing during his stay. The kennel was very clean. I also liked the option of taking him for a walk. I would highly recommend this kennel for boarding your dog.
We rarely leave our dogs with a kennel, but when we do it's Top Dog Kennels! The environment is friendly, clean and organized. They have an appreciation and respect for the multitude of personalities that dogs will present. We were concerned about how one of our dogs would handle being with so many other dogs. In response, Tom made sure to provide him with the attention and outdoor space he needed. We have never had any issues and trust our dogs to their care.
I booked reservations to board my dog while I was camping, I decided I was just going to keep my dog camping with me. I did drive up to pay the owners for my cancellation. They seemed like nice people. The kennel building and surrounding area looked well taken care of. I would recommend them for boarding. Although I would rather make my reservations over the phone, their online system and response was fast and acceptable.
We were very happy with our experience at Top Dog Kennels. We boarded our 2 labs there over a weekend. Online reservation system worked great and we received timely responses to our questions. Tom and Tina were very accommodating to meet a special request. The kennel was clean and well organized. We will definitely use their services again when we are in need. Highly recommend.
From out of town but needed a sitter for the day to visit the National Park. The online reservation process was easy and Tom was timely in his responses. Our dogs are always with us but spent a day at Top Dog and enjoyed it! The facility was very clean and the other dogs seemed happy. Tina was caring and flexible. We highly recommend Top Dog!
My Bernie has stayed there twice and I'm just about to book a third stay. Tom and Tina have taken great care of my girl and she clearly loves them. Highly recommend!!
Tina and Tom were amazing caretakers for my 4 year and 5 month old Bernese Mountain dogs. It was my puppy's first time at the kennel and when I brought them back for daycare the next day they ran right into their kennels -- not even a glance back. Both dogs looked like they felt really comfortable right from the start. The kennels are clean and airy. They are really close to the Holiday Inn Express which was convenient for doing day care while I was at meetings.
Our family was heading up to Mt. Bohemia for a snowboard trip and wanted to find a good kennel close to the resort. Found this online and SO happy we did. Our 4-year english springer, Oliver seemed to have a really great time. It was a little hard to get ahold of Tom at first (sent an email, online inquiry and called) but eventually we got that worked out! The kennel was easy to find, clean and had good sized individual runs for the dogs. Plus - a fenced in play-yard for the dogs to go out several times a day. Tom was very nice and attentive with the dogs. Price was great, the 24-hr access when we prepaid and ease of check-in made this place the perfect spot to drop Oliver. If/when we are in the area we will definitely go back. It was also a nice touch to receive a text about an hour after drop-off to show our pup making a new friend and enjoying play-time.
Tom and Tina are the best. Murphy loves it at Top Dog Kennels. Murphy takes meds twice a day and we trust them to give Murphy the best care possible!
We just boarded our 13 year old Lab/Shepherd with Tom & Tina for the 3rd time. The first two times she was fine there and they took wonderful care of her, giving her numerous meds several times per day, and she seemed to really like Tom. The kennel is so clean too! The first time we took her there last year, I tried to say goodbye to her, but she was following Tom all around, ignoring me, so I knew she was in a good place! Since the 2nd time we left her there, she developed arthritis in her back and hind legs and was on an additional two meds, and did got get around as well as before. I felt so bad leaving her because she's so old and set in her ways, but we decided we really needed to visit our daughter. I booked her for 14 days, but on the morning of the 8th day, Monday, Tina texted me that she hadn't eaten since Saturday. They asked about her favorite foods, and I told them she loved baked chicken. They had tried everything to get her to eat and we were 800 miles away so we couldn't do much. Tina went out and got a rotisserie chicken for her while Tom made rice to mix with it, and they offered that to her and she still wouldn't eat! I suggested that maybe if my brother (our dog loves him!) came to visit her it would help, and as a last resort, he could take her to our house and babysit her off and on until we could get back Weds. night. He went to see her with his work truck and she perked up, but still wouldn't eat, so Tom & Tina thought maybe taking her back to our house as I suggested, to familiar surroundings would be the best. Since he had no room in his truck, they loaded her and everything of hers into their van and followed him to our house (25 minute drive), where my brother took over her care, and within a few hours, she was eating again. He spent time with her off & on til we returned home , and when we did, she was full of life and energy and we took her for walk right away. We all agreed she must've been depressed and lost hope that we were coming back to get her. We were never away from her for that long. So sad! We will not be going anywhere together again for more than a day while she is still with us. We have used most of the kennels in the area over the past 30 years, but Tom & Tina are by far the best people in the area to take care of your dog! They go above and beyond!!! I would highly recommend them! They love dogs and the dogs love them too!
Kevin was very good with our babies. We normally don't leave our dogs with other than family, however we wanted to spend some time on Isle Royale and had no one to turn to, I found Keewenaw Kennels on Google and after talking to Kevin on the phone knew he could be trusted. Our pups stayed with him for 3 nights and when we came back other than being happy to see us they were in no hurry to leave him lol, I would recommend him and would use his service again
This man "Kevin Peterson," is a huge "daily," DRUNKARD OLD MAN , who duz not take care of himself, or his home, also apparrently, he likes2 attack women who turn him down sexually!! He tried2 w/me, "MY LAST NIGHT," I stayed there. He was trying2 make advances towards me and i turned him down, glad i had a friend over that night because after he prerended2go2 bed, i went downstairs n he was waiting there around the corner to grab me by the THROAT!! YES, the throat! So, my arm, came up 2block his hand from my throat and said dont touch me like that!! N waved him out of my way, grabbed my things, even 4got a few, but, i got the hell out of dodge b4 anything advanced2 anything more violent!! N i couldnt believe it myself !!!
Great for when you have to leave town n have pets to worry about
We had a short notice to go down state to see family and needed a kennel. We are so happy we found Northwind. Kim is super special with the dogs in her care and very knowledgeable about dog behavior. Highly recommend. Thank you Kim! Lacey loved her stay
My service dog tends to be fussy about boarding - almost always loses weight and frets. She clearly loved her time at Northwind. Everyone I met was devoted to her care. Their love and understanding of dogs makes all the difference. I am not an easy 5 star review - but Kim and her team would get 8 stars if it were possible. I would board my dog here again in a heartbeat - no reservations.
We dropped our spoiled rotten dog, Ryker, off at Kim’s kennel so that we could visit Isle Royale for the day. She was very sweet and accommodating, the kennel was spotless, and the experience over all was incredible. If we had not found her, we would not have been able to go to the national park. Highly recommend this kennel.
Chris had an awesome business and Kim will continue his high standards. She is passionate about dogs. Good job Kim!
Excellent facility. Well kept and a gracious host
Great place, clean, quiet. Dogs are handled with great care.
Excellent care. Very clean!
