I was in KC for a day on Spring Break. I found Sammy through Google. It was last minute and he took very good care of my Prissy. He also kept me updated with text messages, pics, and videos. 10/10 recommend.

Sammy has watched our dog several times. He is attentive to detail, prompt, is great with communication, and truly cares about our Duke. Our dog has doggie demential and Sammy has been great taking care of him, as well as trying to think of ways to engage him. I highly recommend Sammy and we will continue to use him going forward.

Sammy's Pet Care has been a true lifesaver for me and my Shiba Inu. My Shiba has been difficult as he has been diagnosed with anxiety. Sammy has been very understanding and patient with him. He's additionally provided training tips to improve he's obedience training and it has done wonders, I am thankful for his services and recommend without hesitation!

Sammy is an excellent pet care provider. I have OCD and I am very particular about who can take my husky out of the house from the anxiety around that and her shimmying out of her harness if held a certain way. If you know huskies you know they're professional escape artists. I trust Sammy with her and he has always given her the best care.

I cannot say enough good things about Happy Dog Ranch & Resort! We have been bringing our dogs here both for daycare and boarding for almost three years and we continue to love the experience. Mica and her team go above and beyond for our pups, even accommodating one of our dogs when she had to get stitches and wear a cone right before a big vacation. Mica loves the dogs that come into Happy Dog like they’re her own and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my pups!

Our boy Copper loved his stay at Happy Dog Ranch! Mica takes care to match the dogs in each group according to their temperament. It is apparent that Mica really loves dogs and wants them to enjoy their time away from home. Copper says he will definitely be back!

Mica is amazing! Our 6 yo dog has never boarded and he's very unsure of strangers so we were a bit concerned how well he would adapt. He did great and I really think he misses visiting with the other dogs! We will definitely be back!

I've boarded my GSP Chief at Happy Dog Ranch & Resort many times over the last 18 months and my boy just loves it! Mica and her team go above and beyond to make sure he's active and comfortable while he's in residence! For boarding and daycare services I don't think there's any place better. You can see how Mica interacts with all the dogs in her care how much she loves these dogs and works hard for their wellbeing.

Friendly but the room they had my dog in was like a closet. She didn’t feel comfortable there and was deemed a threat because she was barking letting them know she was unhappy. My dog has never been an issue anywhere with anyone else, so they seemed a but unfit to handle large breeds. Thankfully they were able to arrange another kennel in Kansas City to come and get her while I was out of town, after they suggested drugging her. Thank you for making alternative arrangements for me, but obviously not a great fit for my dog.

I had taylor watch my dog for the weekend and she was awesome! I got lots of updates with pictures and felt totally comfortable with my dog being with her. The house was clean when I got back and I would definitely recommend Katie’s kennel and specifically Taylor to watch your pup!

Katie Kennel is fantastic. We needed someplace to leave our two pups over Thanksgiving but all of the place were booked. Katie Kennel came thru in our time of need. We had a lot of great things about them and they had a ton of good reviews. We were blown away by how thoughtful and friendly the staff were. We left our two with Claire. During the week we were gone we got photo and video three times a day. Our two had such a fun time together with all of the other pups that were there. Claire made sure that they played and got treats and were treated wonderfully. I don’t think I convey in this review how wonderful Claire was. We were hesitant leaving them with Katie Kennel, but after meeting Claire and here pup and all of the daily photos and video she would send I don’t think we would leave them with anyone else. Thank you for being amazing.

I only have the BEST things to say about Katie’s Kennel! We found KK when looking for options other than boarding but have also used them for play dates. SIT: Rachel immediately made our Dalton feel like one of her own. She takes the most amazing care of him, and provides me lots of updates including lots of park visits and pup cups. Gives me so much comfort being away, knowing he is having just as much fun as we are! We will never take him anywhere else! PLAY: Hannah has helped us w Dalton during the day too while I have work trips and we can always tell he has the best time! He goes to the park for an hour and gets lots of playtime and exercise, we always get the best recaps. She even gave us some walking tips! We are so lucky we found Katie’s kennel!

We’ve been using Katie’s Kennel for 6+ years and they always take such great care of our dogs! Dorothy has been especially fantastic with our senior dog - if you have/had a senior dog, you understand how much you worry about them when you’re away and there’s no doubt in our mind that she treats them SO well and takes care of them and their routines just like we would. There’s also something to be said about coming home to a house in the same (or better) condition than when you left. Can’t recommend Katie’s Kennel enough!

Katie’s Kennel has been amazing to work with! We did an in home sitter recently and Dorothy was AMAZING! She cared for our boys like they were her own and gave us lots of updates and photos so we felt reassured they were loved while we were away. Much better option than boarding for us! We also use Brenda for our regular walks and she is wonderful too! The updates are so detailed and personalized, I never have to worry when I’m at work knowing they are well cared for. Katie’s has the best of the best when it comes to taking care of your pets. Sarah Watters, Felicia, Halie, & Simone are my go to team and my boys LOVE them!!! Biscuit and I love Katie’s Kennel! It’s so nice knowing they love my pup as much as I do when I can’t be with him. Both the walk and play services have been a life saver when I’m at the office and can’t make it home. We love Katie’s Kennel and have been using them since moving to KC last year. They are very responsive and reliable. Natassia walked our dog Izzy several times and Izzy was genuinely excited to get outside and walk with her. Natassia even sat inside with Izzy one day while Izzy was afraid of the thunder going on outside and comforted her. I love knowing that Izzy is being taken care of by people who really care about dogs.

We have been struggling to find a great (even good!) pet sitter for years. I've usually felt good about most of them. Tara is a whole 'nother level of VERY VERY good! I don't worry at ALL about my pets while I'm gone. Of course most pet sitters are good with pets. Tara is as well, but what sets her apart is that I know she just is super responsible and has excellent judgement. So she is just very careful with my pets, and I know she'd recognize if there was a problem and call me or the vet. I can really relax on vacation. And of course the dogs LOVE her, which is bonus! She would keep us updated about them while we were away as well. Sometimes a funny story (my dogs are funny for sure!). So sweet! I loved seeing photos of my dogs chilling in the yard with her! I'm so thankful to have found her. She responds quickly to messages as well. Highly recommend (except the weekends that I'm trying to book her first HAHA!).

Tara was just amazing staying with my two foster dogs that i have. she sent pictures and they almost looked like they were smiling! She did great with giving them their medication and keeping them comfortable and anxiety free while we were on vacation. Definitely would recommend her to everyone to take care of their fur babies!

It was also great because when I got home I was tired, and my dogs were too, they were not starving for attention. Tara and her son were so good to Tucker! He has never been in a kennel so it was wonderful to find a person to share their home with him and make him part of the family! Loved getting pictures and updates of him while we were gone. Tara goes out of her way to find out about each dog's habit and daily activities to make them feel like it's their normal routine. Tara was wonderful with our dog Moose!. she cared for him as if he was her own dog and kept us updated while we were away!. it was such a relief knowing that he wasn't cooped up in a boarding kennel. her son also helps alot and my dog loved him so much!!. Tara knew exactly how to take care of moose the way I wanted him to be taken care of and they are such a genuinely sweet family!!

This has been our go to place for our dogs ever since they opened. For sleepovers, vacations, and grooming - great staff, great pet love, excellant grooming; we have had 2 standard poodles, a chow and a lab/Pyrenees mix. Highly recommend, but book early as they are popular!

Amazing grooming experience with my Shepsky! After a negative grooming experience with a chain business, I groomed my dog myself for a while before realizing I was in over my head. These folks were amazing! They asked very thorough questions about my dog before the groom too. My dog looks and smells wonderful and I'm so happy!

We have taken our cats here for grooming for a few years now. Kathy and her crew are great, Alyssa gives Peaches the best cuts!

They were awesome with my Rottie who was afraid of their vociferous Chihuahuas. They comforted him and made him feel safe.

Tori did a great job cutting our yorkie poo but you cannot get a regular schedule at this establishment any longer, they set appointments then break them at the last minute and never contact you to reschedule as the text message says . My dog has went several weeks over on his last grooming to accommodate them just to have them cancel.

We found Nancie a few weeks ago when needing a pet sitter for our Jake. She kept him in her home for four days and loved him like he was her own. She sent us daily text with pics. Was nice seeing him so relaxed and happy. We’re so thrilled to have found Nancie and Jake is too! Thanks Nancie:)

We found Nancie three years ago when our pup was too young to go to dog boarding (she hadn’t been spayed yet) but we needed somewhere for her to go due to a family emergency. We honestly haven’t looked back since! Our Honey Bunny loves Nancie! She gets to play with other gentle dogs and we know she’ll get 1:1 attention while we are away. She also gets the comfort of a home and a backyard. Highly recommend Four Paws! Pics Nancie has sent of our girl, happy and snuggly! ☺️

My Charlie girl always has a good time when she stays at Four Paws. I love the in home atmosphere. Charlie is free in the house all the time. Nancie has a big fenced yard for the dogs to enjoy. I'm very glad I found Four Paws!

Nancie has been petsitting for my dogs for years and she is always excellent with them! I know I can always trust Four Paws to make sure my pups have fun and are well-looked after, especially if they need medication or special attention, and I never have to worry while I’m away.

Nancie recently watched our large lab on short notice after some of the larger kennels said they had no more room for a large dog. She did a wonderful job of taking care of our boy and sent us daily updates and photos of him. We will only be using Nancie to watch our dog from now on! Highly recommend!

We love Four Paws Pet sitters! Every time we take our dog here we know he is well taken care of. Nancie's love for animals is so evident. Our dog was always super nervous to go to kennel boarding places, but at Nancie's house he feels right at home and is always excited to see her! They get to stay in a home environment and get treated very well. We have always had great experiences and highly recommend!

We had to leave our pitbull for the first time and he can be extremely reactive to people. We were nervous at first but the staff reassured us that they work with dogs of all levels of temperaments and that he would be in good hands. They weren’t lying! He did great! By the time we picked him up they said they were able to get him out of his kennel, loved attention from staff and even gave him his bath prior to pickup. We are so thankful for this facility and the amazing staff! 10/10 would recommend to anyone that believes their dog has reactivity or aggression.

Elkhound Ranch is absolutely amazing! I have a large, reactive, dog and I fully trust this facility when I board her. The staff at Elkhound work closely with each dog to make sure they are playing well with each other. I trust my dog is safe in their hands! Elkhound ranch also provides grooming and they do a great job! Over the summer, I did a two week board and train for my dog here and I was so nervous at first to leave her but it ended up being an AMAZING experience. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!

I've been boarding my dog Leany here for years. She absolutely freaking LOVES it. To the point her tail starts thumping the car door when we get close. It's a nerve-wracking experience to trust someone with your fur baby, but they make it SO easy. They even provide baths and nail trims! Look no further than Elkhound Ranch Kennels.

This is an amazing facility for your lil furry friends. Our two dogs enjoy their time spent away and always come back home smelling fresh and ready for a nap. One of our dogs requires a bit of space and is very wary of strangers. So far, he has been doing wonderfully and slowly coming out of his shell more. We are very grateful for the patience and kindness the staff continues to show our dogs. They are willing to work with you on what is best for your dog as to make the experience more enjoyable + safer for them. Scheduling is never a hassle, communication is clear, and pick up/drop off is easy. We look forward to the next time our kiddos get a “weekend at camp” and will continue to utilize their services for all future pets. Thank you always!

Nothing but exceptional service! Our 150lb Rottweiler, Chief was treated so well. The staff is great. Paid the extra for daily walks and he was in a suit that was great for his size so he could run from inside to outside! For a pawrent that has never kenneled their dogs this turned out better than expected. He was so happy to see me after a weeks stay. Thank you again! If services are needed in the future we will be back and definitely referring you to those who ask.

We took our two dogs in for boarding and training. We have been pleased with the results. One of our dogs is a rescue who was abused; and we are going to follow up the boarding training with some one-on-one sessions. We are especially pleased with the trainer, who took a lot of time explaining the training to us; but everyone was knowledgeable about our dogs, and could share information with us when we called or came and dropped of a prescription refill. We feel confident in recommending Elkhound Ranch for either boarding or training, or both.

Elkhound is amazing! I always feel safe leaving my pup there! The staff is super sweet! Never have they had a problem with my dog even though other daycares have told me he has “gate aggression.” They tell me there’s no such thing and most dogs act that way when overstimulated. I will always bring him here and no where else!

I did a 2 week board and train for my 12 week old Bernese Mountain Dog Poodle Mix and it was amazing. I got videos of all the progress she was making on her training. When I went to pick Penny up all of the staff were incredible and I was extremely impressed by Penny’s training progress in only 2 weeks. When we were getting ready to leave the Trainer was genuinely sad to say goodbye to my girl and all the staff came out to give her pets and cuddles. I walked away knowing that she was truly taken care of and loved. We are a couple weeks out from when she left and I’m still impressed everyday by how obedient she is for a puppy with boundless energy. We will definitely be booking here again!

We have used Elkhound Ranch for about a year now for our husky Khaleesi. We did the one month training with Josh and we could tell a significant difference in behavior and listening. We constantly bring her to doggy day care and all the staff know her by name, she is thrilled to see each team member. I love being able to get her bathed and groomed there, she smells wonderful and they do a way better job than Petco or Petsmart. I can tell they even do some training work if we board her for several days. Any questions or thoughts I’ve shared are always considered and Josh is quick to resolve any concern. I love that she always comes home wore out, (picture of needed nap), it’s especially important to us since we don’t have a fenced in yard. They know us by name and that makes me happy to be there. We plan to be loyal customers for years to come. I feel happy and confident that I have a safe place for my puppy. They did have a management update and I have been happy with things.

Brought my two dogs here for training because the new "adoptee" wasn't getting along with first dog, and there was a sizable size difference between them. Returning new dog to shelter wasn't an option for me personally, so training was last resort. While the communication was a bit sketch at first, the end results are exactly what my dogs needed. They are now living harmoniously, eating together, walking together and even occasionally playing together, but definitely not being aggressive toward each other. I liked the fact that they were honest about not guaranteeing they'd learn to get along (because they're dogs and you never can tell). I enjoyed watching the videos they sent of them training each week. And, I like that the trainer checked in after they came home to see how they are getting along.

Please please please do NOT go here. I got ATTACKED AND BIT BY A DOG while walking out of the entry door after dropping my dog off for doggy daycare. I started bleeding on my leg and went into fight or flight mode. I must give credit to the worker, she tried to jump in and help out. However, they still took the dog in (I was in shock!). They don't do "personality tests" (they didn't for us anyway) and there are horrifying reviews on here. Please consider going somewhere else. We will never go back.

Pete & Mac’s are amazing! The communication between the staff and the owners is so great! They send me pictures of my dogs and make sure they well taken care of! I love that they separate big dogs and little dogs. The GM- Sami is so sweet and super professional! I love all the girls there!! If you truly want someone to CARE for your pets, I’d 10000% pick them in any lifetime! They prove that they care about your pets wellbeing in the work and care they provide, whether you’re using daycare or boarding.

I’ve been coming to Pete & Mac’s for YEARS. Clearly the ones who leave bad reviews recently, aren’t even real. The GM is a female. The staff is mainly all females. Madison Asher has NEVER been an employee at Pete & Mac’s. To try and tarnish a GOOD business is ridiculous. The moral of the staff is Phenomenal. They CARE about your pets!! I’ve seen it first hand with other client’s pets, as well as my own. They make sure the wellbeing of all our animals are taken care of! Dogs of course, but Cats too!! From daycare, to boarding to training, they cover all aspects! If you haven’t formed some sort of relationship with the staff or your trainer… I highly recommend you start!! Fairly priced too!!

I picked up my dog after hours driving home. At first site he peed on the lobby floor, and it wasn’t a normal amount of pee for this 10 pound dog. He continued to urinate all the way to the car and into the grass. Finally, when putting him in the car I noticed how he smelled and how his paws were wet and yellow. I looked in the bag they handed me with his blanket inside and it was soaking wet with pee and this only leaves me to believe my pet just sat in his pee the whole time. They claim they will give them a bath if they get dirty there but that’s false we were willing to pay for extra potty breaks and they said they will add the breaks to our bill at pickup.Instead…they actually charged us the original stay twice. Knowing that my 10 lb sat in his own urine for who knows that long and we’re charged double ($100 for 24 hrs) out of ignorance. On top of that, after hours on the road, we needed to bathe him immediately We won’t be going here ever again don’t trust it.

I’m beyond angry at Pete and Mac’s in the Northland off of Prairie View. Our dog has been going for five years. Generally, he goes two days a week. Today, when I picked him up, i happen to ask if he had social time today ( since it was hot). We ONLY take him for the playtime and socialization with other dogs. My husband works from home and we have a home with a fenced yard. He doesn’t potty in the house or tear anything up. I was shocked when one of the four employees standing there said he’s only there for boarding. This means he’s alone all day and only goes out to potty with an attendant. Apparently, since June of 2022 - yes, you read that right- they’ve not allowed him to be with other dogs because he had three run ins with another dog. There was ZERO communication with me and my husband this was the decision. and action taken. We’ve paid $4000 I’d guess over two years for him to just be alone. We are both college educated professionals and would have made different arrangements for our dog had we known. DO NOT trust these people with your dog. Not if you love and care for them. I’m seeking legal counsel for at least a refund of part of my fees.

We adopted a 2y dog in October and struggled to socialize her, until we took her here! They took time allowing her to meet new friends and acclimate. She loves going to daycare (we take her about twice a week) and tolerates the boarding (she’s a barker and loses her voice, it’s stressful to her to not come home, but she also gets treats and snuggles at Pete & Mac’s). The staff know her and are kind and patient “dog people”😅

They love my dog like their own. Sarabi loves going to Pete and Macs! Best kennel I’ve ever been to and Savannah has made my dog the best dog I’ve ever owned! Highly recommend!!

Our pup has gone there for years for both daycare and boarding, and they do an amazing job!

We take our pup there when we go out of town and she loves it. So do we. They are amazing they right cards about her stay and I know she is loved while we are gone.

Pete and Macs is awesome we used them before for our other dog so we wanted to go with them again and they are awesome our SammyJoe loved his stay we will definitely use them again. The staff was friendly and very caring and did so well with my baby. Thank you so much for taking care of our Sammy Joe we will be back

This was our first time coming here and they were great! We usually leave our dog Duke with a family member when we travel but this time they went with us. Our family member is close friends with the owners mom and suggested we use them and they did not disappoint! We were very nervous to leave him with strangers but Tracy communicated with us all week and kept us updated and reassured. There was a little confusion when we picked him up that was completely my fault but Tracy was very responsive and worked everything out quickly! Duke seemed happy and doing great when we got him and that was so good to see! Thank you for taking such great care of him!

My pup Sharkee has been going to Robin the groomer for a few years now. She is AMAZING!! Sharkee loves his time there! Robin is gentle and kind and listens to her clients.

I am so happy with my dogs stay at Kate’s! The staff was so friendly and helpful. This was my first time leaving Gigi alone for more than a weekend and i was more than anxious about it. Tracey sent me a few updates (see update below, Gigi is the little dog with the big dogs - she’s bossy! Lol) and was very communicative. I had to change my check out date/time for Gigi a few times as well based on friends availabilities and they were totally fine with it and just so helpful and sweet. Highly recommend this place and Gigi will be back! :)

Have been using Kate’s for my little dog, Weasel for over 12 years :) she’s always taken care of, and loves seeing her friends (canine and human) when I drop her off. As she is getting older and slower it is a huge relief and blessing for me to take her somewhere that I know she is safe, happy, and cared for. ❤️

I’ve been taking my dog Larry there for just over a year. He’s a very high energetic dog and daycare does wonders for tiring him out (especially In the summertime when it’s too hot to walk him). Staff is great and Larry loves going!

The owner and her staff are absolutely wonderful. We have always had a great experience at Kate's canine resort. And our dog Lee-o loves going there. We always feel very comfortable when leaving Lee-o with the staff at Kate's.

We've been taking our dog to doggy daycare at Kate's for over a year now and absolutely love it! I love that we can drop him off for daycare any day, without having to book ahead of time and know that he is being well cared for and loved while he's at Kate's. Definitely recommend!

We took our dog for the first time for boarding and it was a great experience! The staff was friendly and checking in and out was a smooth process. Getting a video report card by text of our dog was definitely a plus! Our dog seemed happy and we didn't have any issues. We'll be taking our dog there in the future!

My dog acts like he doesn't know me when he gets here. He loves hanging out with the staff and the other dogs. It's such a relief knowing your pet is taken care of and you don't have to worry while you are away from your pet!!!

Excellent experience with Camp now Wow Liberty. Front desk is very helpful. I really like being able to watch our pup on camera during day care. Not used for overnight yet but so far so good. Charley is always excited to go and worn out when she leaves.

The staff were super helpful and explained every step to us. They did everything possible to ensure our doggos had a good experience. The welcome package deals are SO worth it!

KIRK IS EXTREMELY RUDE . I called to set an appointment he hung up in my face , I then called back asked if he had hung up on me , he said “who is this what do you want “ ? I’ve been with camp now wow for years and I’ve never experienced this type of unprofessionalism over the phone until I called the location in liberty. I normally do NOT go out of my way to leave a review on a business because it could potentially hurt them , but this behavior needs to be corrected immediately. I’ve just finished talking to the higher ups and they were extremely nice. KIRK you’re rude and you should fix your tone if you’re going to be answer phones. I’ve read the reviews and all the bad ones are mostly about you and your customer service. Let’s do better .

My first time boarding my dogs there and it was amazing. They were so well taken care of and with the cameras, I could see them anytime I wanted.

I loved loved Camp Bow Wow! My little Yorkie did as well! I was greeted very politely...and my little Benjamin was treated with awesome care.. Great place for your little or big furrend friend to go.. I was able to watch his every move on my mobile phone when I down loaded their app. I appreciate and trust the staff. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. I love the cameras and the luxury boarding also has a camera to watch my baby while she sleeps. That said, lets get to the only reason I ever leave a comment, and that is important decision making information when it comes to ANY business entrusted to give you all of the options concerning costs of services, listening to my concerns, complaints and resolving them in a timely fashion. I boarded my super senior dog here, she is about 12 years old. I had concerns about her temperment being she is aged. I would have preferred she NOT be with other dogs at all. My words fell on deaf ears. My sweet Gracie was referred to as "the old geezer" and " because she is so fat"...... in other words, We will do this our way to your dog. This is how we do things. I was not given information about the different boarding options, my dog went straight to the luxury suit which has a camera ( which I loved) but would not have chosen because it is 70.00 a night. I said out loud to the staff so 49.00 dollars a night....no one EVER corrected me. So, for first timers, BE AWARE. While I like the concept of Camp Bow Wow, they are not able to customize a care plan for your Super Senior dogs, ONE SIZE FITS ALL here. Secondly, communication here is not forthright. If you dont know to make them write it down in your presence you will be suprised by the bill. I also requested a bath and toenail trim for Grace. I was told she had a bath and toenail trim. AND YOU GUESSED IT...she didn't receive those services. I was not charged. But, all in all I'm a little bit upset with the added stress of dealing with a group of people who dont listen and do things their own way. However, I would be willing to try them again, but I will definitely be on my A GAME next time that's for sure. Kirk needs to train the staff to deal with people and money or hire someone for intake purposes. Thank you Theresa

My pup LOVES Camp Bow Wow Liberty. I know I’ve made the best decision for Linus when I decided to take him there. The staff is courteous and professional. When I see Linus at play, I do see he’s getting the attention and the interaction with other dogs he needs to thrive and grow. And love from the staff. Had my dog with them since we lived in New Orleans and love how they treat my dog. They are caring and very professional and my dog enjoys going there and playing. The staff is absolutely amazing and attentive to all the dogs, the onsite grooming service is very helpful. They have monthly fun stuff they plan for the dogs and they are very affordable. Luce from the Liberty location is absolutely amazing and my dog adores her so much! She does his snuggle time and he just animates when he hears her voice, they take amazing care of my dog when he comes. My dog has made so many great and fun new friends with that he plays with all day and comes home tired and played out. So worth it 😁

Absolutely love this place for Zhu. All the people who work there are kind and happy to be with your pup, and they greet them that way. Love that you can look in on your fur baby at any time. Love the groomer Jenny for taking care of his grooming needs. You will know that your pup is in a safe and fun environment!
