Matt and his team have been wonderful to my 2 year-old GSP. She is high energy, so the 2 days a week that she goes with Matt has been a life-saver for me. My dog is able to get her exercise and social time in while I get a lot of work done. A win for both of us. She is excited to see him every time and comes home fulfilled from her activity. She has also boarded with Matt and did very well. Matt takes great care of all the dogs and treats them like his own. I highly recommend him if you're looking for dependable, quality dog services.

Matt and Pawfection are the best! Matt has walked and cared for my two German Shorthaired Pointers for more hours than I can count over the years. On top of walking and looking after the pups, Matt provides great training advice and helped me work through one dog’s separation anxiety. Matt is super-aware of the dogs health conditions and will work with you and your vet on treatment, etc… if your pup is having a health issue. Can’t recommend highly enough!

My golden retriever has the absolute best time with Matt and Joseph at daycare! He’s always so excited to see them and waits for them in the window. We’ve also boarded him with Matt as we wouldn’t trust anyone else to handle our high energy pup, Matt is professional, knows what he’s doing and is a dog guy!

Matt has been taking care of our three Vizslas since they were puppies. He is so great with our dogs and they just love him. I never worry when they are with Pawfection Pet Care. Everyone on Matt’s team is exceptional!!!

I credit Pawfection with how happy and well socialized Bobby, our 75-lb brindle mix, is and continues to be. Bobby has been in daycare (play and/or hiking) with Matt and his team 5 days/week for the past 6+ years. He also boards with Pawfection at least a few times a year when we go on vacations where we can't bring him. We initially chose Pawfection because of its convenient pickup/dropoff service, but have remained loyal clients because of the high quality care and genuine love of dogs that Matt and his team provide. After all these years, Bobby is still excited when the Pawfection van pulls up, and we are thrilled that he has somewhere safe to play and socialize while we are working.

Matt has been caring for our dog, Fallon, since she was a few months old, and she just turned 5. Matt genuinely loves the dogs, and they love him! I never worry when Fallon is with Matt, as I know she probably feels like she’s on vacation. She is always so happy to see him! Matt is reliable, trustworthy, flexible and truly goes above and beyond, helping with anything you might need from training, advice, assistance with vet treatments, etc. I highly recommend Pawfection!

Matt and his team have been so great for our vizsla Sedona. She absolutely loves spending her days with Pawfection. I highly recommend pawfection over any of the large competitors in the area (I’ve tried them all.)

We love Pawfection Pet Care!! please keep in mind like most dog owners, we are extremely careful with our French Bulldogs- it takes a lot to entrust your pups to anyone and Matt is wonderful! He is extremely responsible and we have always felt that our dogs were safe and happy. Matt is a dog whisperer but also firm enough to not allow any misbehaving. Our older Frenchie was having some issues at first about eating and Matt kept us updated with progress/status reports every time- we didn't ask for that, but it's just the kind of person he is. we have also noticed our dogs have become much more social and better mannered with other dogs after spending time with Matt. Five stars, thumbs up, all of it. Matt and Pawfection are the best!!

Matt has been looking after my Alaskan Klee Kei a few times a week for almost 5 years and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s been. Tuxedo is always happy to be picked up for his adventures and is excited to go for walks with his friends!

Matt & team have been taking care of our golden-doodle for a year now and we can't recommend Pawfection Pet Care enough! When we initially reached out to Matt, he was intentional about making sure that our dog meshed with all the other dogs in the pack, which made us feel extra confident in her safety. I tried out a few doggie daycare places before finding downtown dogs. My dog is super friendly but very shy. They understood her and helped her feel comfortable and have fun! It also has made me comfortable leaving her at downtown dogs. The staff are all amazing! Now she gets excited when we turn on the street and she’s pulling me in to go play! Highly recommended downtown dogs!

My dog loves her daycare days here! She can be a bit nervous, but the staff and other dogs help her confidence, tire her out, and give her lots of love.

This is a great company. We love both their locations. I have a giant dog and she loves this daycare. They are very caring and devoted to the animals. Plus, when we get there, my dog is so excited that she doesn't even notice me leaving.

My dog has loved every minute at Downtown. He's a wild fun puppy who started around 6 months old. He always enjoys his human and fur friends. We live 20 miles north which is rough doing twice a day. I have options closer, but the other facilities just don't offer the personalized loving service and care.

We are so impressed with Downtown Dogs Palo Alto daycare and the incredible staff and management. Knowing that we are sending our pup to a place where she will receive the best love and attention makes this such an easy option. At Downtown Dogs Palo Alto we know she will be safe, well cared for, engaged, and encouraged. From the set up to the pick up- every call or email they are always so responsive and helpful. The best part is when our pup comes home- she’s exhausted. Truly a sign of a great day! And the fact she can’t wait to go back- a sure sign of a great daycare. We are so grateful to Downtown Dogs Palo Alto!

My girl loves Downtown Dogs, it’s a great place for her to play and get all her energy out! It’s great for when we work she has something to do to keep her happy and occupied. I definitely recommend DD for anyone with hyper furry friends to give them exercise and make them tired when they get home!

My puppy loves it here!!! They took over our favorite daycare and they do an even better job taking care of our Cheddar.

I’m so happy I found this place for my pug puppy Lulu. Downtown dogs offers a great place for her to release her energy, make friends and play her day away. I love that they offer add-ons like treats that can be given to her during their downtime. They have cameras in each room, so if I want to see how she’s doing throughout the day I can easily log in and check on her. They also offer report cards so you know how they’re doing during each visit. Lulu now knows that daycare means and gets really excited when she hears that word. I truly recommend this place for anyone that’s looking for a good daycare, where you can see how passionate they are in caring for your family member.

We’ve been bringing our pup to CityDog since we adopted her 3.5 years ago and we are so grateful for having this place to bring her to. It’s conveniently located in Mountain View and we feel safe and secure with she is in their care. Our dog is introverted and we love how she gets to sit off to the side or interact when she wants to. She loves having the windows to look out for her mommies and we love that she gets that stimulation to watch the outside world. My favorite thing is the greetings we get upon arrival when everyone knows our dogs name and makes her feel welcome! The manager Carolyn has given us so much comfort and has shown how much she loves and cares for each and every dog. She’s auntie Carolyn! The staff are all hands on deck when things get busy and we appreciate their efforts! This is the only place we trust boarding Gemma as we know the staff will be mindful and attentive to our dog’s needs for her dietary restrictions and meds, walks, etc! We love CityDog!

They go above and beyond to ensure our furry friend feels loved, safe, and happy. The staff is always attentive, friendly, and provides regular updates. We trust them completely and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-notch dog boarding facility.

I have a very energetic young boxer mix. He was getting into too much trouble at home due to boredom. Since he comes to Citydogs a few half days for playtime, he is so much happier and easier to manage. They do an awesome job supervising and keeping pups busy. And it is so obvious that the whole staff loves the dogs,which has not always been the case at other places in my experience. My pup and I love Citydogs!

I have been bringing my pup here for a few weeks and he has really been enjoying it. I purchased a boarding package up front so they were even kind enough to comp us a few day care visits so that he could get used to the facility before he stayed there for a few days straight. I loved the access to the cameras as well, it was great being able to check in on my pup from across the country and see that he was doing well!

Our pup loves coming here! We’ve brought her here several times already for daycare, boarding and grooming. She seems to always have a blast and she’s totally exhausted by the time we bring her home. The staff is very friendly and attentive and I feel very comfortable leaving our pup here in their care.

City Dog in Mountain View is perfect! Awesome manager and super friendly staff. Great facility that is clean and well kept. We had a wonderful first grooming experience . Webcam in the daycare pens to let you check on your dog. Haven’t used their boarding services yet but will not hesitate when we need it.

I was very happy with the bathing and grooming the first few times I took my dog there. At that time I would have given 5 even 10 stars. However, a couple of weeks ago I brought my elderly dog there for her prescheduled bathing apt. I was told the person did not want to bath her because she (the person) was experiencing Mental Health issues. I get it, life is very difficult, trust me I get it. However if she knew she was not mentally able to bath dogs that day then she should have taken the day off of work. I have a disability in one hand/arm, teach full time and care give to my elderly parents. I definitely understand how hard life gets. It was really frustrating to find out at the actual time of the appointment. Additionally if I canceled the minute of my dog's bath appointment I would have still been charged for the apt. Do better please. IMPORTANT update- A manager from City Dog reached out to me. She, as the manager, apologized for my experience and gave me a free dog bath. I am very thankful for her Professionalism.

This review is not for the day care service, but for the day care package they sold to me back in 2023. I was new to the service and talked to multiple people working there before purchasing the day care package. All people I talked to confirmed that there was no expiration date of the day care package. Now, I was told the package expired. I lost 7 days remaining ($350+ value) from the package. I was told there was nothing they could do about it. I wouldn't purchase the package if there was expiration date. I lost $350 in this situation.

My dog Storm absolutely loves them, she is always so exited to get in. The staff is super friendly and nice not just to the dogs, but to the owners too. They always send me photos and videos of Storm having a blast, and are always on top of everything.

I needed someone to take care of my two cats while I was away for a week, and the pet sitter I found was absolutely fantastic. The service provided was exceptional, with daily updates and photos of my fur babies. Their attention to detail and genuine love for animals shone through. The quality and value of this service exceeded my expectations.

We found the #1 doggie daycare in California! We recently moved across country and looked at every doggy daycare/day/pack adventures in the Bay Area and nothing compares to PTSM. Our Shiba Inu loves her "home" away from home and always runs into daycare without a second look back. From the moment we reached out to Tommy, he was very communicative and accommodating. He even got our dog to eat on a normal schedule (all you Shibe owners will understand), which no daycare has done before. The entire staff is amazing and truly loves getting to know the dogs. We've interacted with just about everyone and we get daily photos/videos of our dog playing from Christina, Amy, and Manolo. We can tell from the photos, the staff goes above and beyond to include our dog in the pack. We also use their dog transportation services and yes, our girl loves hanging out with Troy in the "bark bus." One thing we noticed right away is the facilities are so clean and there are comfy beds, blankets, toys for the dogs. A big bonus is they have a door that leads to an outdoor space and our Shibe loves to sunbathe outside. There is nowhere else we will send our dog unless they replicate PSTM - thank you to the best crew!

Finding a good daycare is not easy. Amy and her team make us reassuring that our pup has a great time with great care!

Pet Sitting to the MAX is incredible. When my husband and I took our then 1-year old puppy to Pet Sitting four years ago, we did not know how much she would fall in love with the place and people, who have consistently treated her (and the spirited brother we acquired for her a year ago) like family despite her antics. The staff truly love animals, and it shines through. Very few things make my dogs happier than mentioning that we are taking them on a car ride to daycare, and Pet Sitting is one of the places we will miss most as we leave the Bay Area.

Amy and team are professional and go above and beyond! Outstanding service, care and love for my fur babies. My husband and I went our of town and for the first time hired outside help to come check on our 2 cats. Amy went above and beyond and provided excellent service: -vacuumed and tidied our place -changed cat liter -played with both cats -spent decent time in our apartment for each visit -gave my cats the love and attention they needed and rewarded them with some treats What I also appreciated was the updates when she did visit. Updates included pictures and video of the cats, as well as what she did while she was there. Truly professional and fantastic experience as well as great value for the price. Would 100% recommend amy and team and go through them again in the future.

Very friendly staff. My dog loves it here. He's a little old, but whenever I pick him up from here he's got a little spring in his step! The place is clean and they are always bugging me about my vaccinations, which means all the dogs are up to date so I always feel good about leaving my dog here.

We have used their services to house-sit our cat Faye when we were on vacation. Our sitter was timely and sent us regular updates. The whole experience was up to the mark.

I don't know what I would do without Jamie... My 16-year old grumpy little feline dude needs subcutaneous fluids every three days and pain meds daily. Suffice it to say, he refuses to believe that I'm trying to help him when I go to stick him with a needle. Jamie's presence is so calming and self-assured and her skills and experience are super appreciated. She makes life for all involved way less stressful. My husband and I took several longer trips and every time she took care of Gizmo, everything went without a hitch. She sent me photos and emails telling me how Gizmo was doing. Highly and warmly recommend her!

Steph has been such a knowledgeable, delightful dog trainer to work with. What stood out most was how observant Steph was, how she taught us to understand behaviors we hadn’t noticed before, and how non-judgmental she was during training. We hired Steph to help train our rescue black lab. Our sweet dog was acting protective when dogs or new people approached our baby, and barked / lunged so much on walks that she was starting to earn a reputation in our neighborhood. Steph took the time to understand our family environment, the changes that had escalated this behavior, and the subtle triggers that would stress our dog out. She taught us how to read our dog’s body language and used gentle, loving techniques to teach her to relax in these situations. She also gave us great “escape strategies” for difficult encounters, and was very patient with us when our roles as new parents made it hard to train as consistently as we should have. 10/10 would recommend Steph and hire her again!

Steph is so knowledgeable and kind. Taking my rescue aussie out in public was stressing me out. I took her to basic dog training classes but that just wasn't enough to understand how to manage her reactions to bicycles, runners and "Squirrels!". Now after just 4 sessions working with Good Sit, and lots of practice, Pippen is doing great and I am feeling much more confident. Talking with Steph as we practice with Pippen really helps me understand my dogs reactivity and how we can all learn to enjoy the world together. My advice is don't give up! Book some time with Steph at Good Sit and enjoy your dog again!

We have been working with Steph and Good Sit for 4 years. Steph is an amazing caretaker for our Great Dane, Yoda, and she treats him like part of the family. She has experience working with temperamental dogs and is super communicative while we are away. We always use Good Sit because we can go on vacation knowing our big guy is in the best hands. Steph ensures Yoda is mentally and physically enriched while he is in her care and he gets a lot of attention and social interaction with other furry friends. We can’t recommend Steph enough!

Steph and Good Sit are so much more than a dog walking and sitting service. When I first adopted my pup Rufus I knew he needed a lot of work. He was found as a stray and had a fear of strangers, plus walking him was a nightmare as he had extreme reactions to anything that passed by him. I had known Steph for a while through my other pups and we had always kept in touch after they passed away. She was the first person that came to mind and who I contacted to see if she did dog training sessions. To my extreme luck she does, and was available to come meet Rufus (even during SIP - with all proper social distancing protocols of course). Rufus immediately loved her and she helped me train him to be non-reactive on leash as well as obedience. She has a keen eye to see where a pup's threshold is at and could tell when Rufus (or me for that matter) got too frustrated and needed to take a break/call it a day. She also was able to figure out what his "high reward" treat was (a squeaky ball) which was a game-changer for his training. After working with her for 6 weeks I now have a well behaved, almost non-reactive dog that is a breeze to walk! However, what I love most about Good Sit is that Steph has worked hard to build a community of dog lovers/enthusiasts. She has invited Rufus and I out on multiple occasions for dog meet ups at the local park, and has even gone out of her way to introduce me to other dog owners that would be a good match for Rufus to play with. I can't recommend Steph highly enough and please trust me when I tell you that YOU NEED GOOD SIT IN YOUR LIFE!

Our dog waits by the door every Tuesday and Thursday for a Good Sit employee to arrive (adorbs). Truly thankful that we found Steph Haddad. Good Sit really gets to know the humans and animals - our dog has food allergies and they have collars that let people know not to give treats to our lovebug. Steph and her team are responsible, respectful, conscientious, and caring. If anyone asks about walking, training, and/or boarding, we recommend Good Sit !!!

Steph is the BEST!! We started working with Steph because we were having trouble with impulse control and reactivity - Wally would never pay attention to us on walks and he would easily get overstimulated at the dog park. Not only did Steph teach us tools and tricks to help us when walking him or taking him to the dog park, but she also helped us build a stronger relationship with our little guy. We are so grateful to Steph for all the help and support, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for some help with their pup!

Steph is as professional as it gets! The dogs are always happy to see her. Dexter literally jumps for JOY when he hears her at the door. The dog mobile brings lots of smiles!

We rescued a mix-terrier (1 yr old) who had been relinquished by her owner and had spent a few months in a variety of foster homes. She was pretty reactive to people and other dogs. Hired Steph to train both the family and our dog. And within 1 month the results were astounding! Our little dog is so much calmer and rarely barks at people and other dogs. Not only did Steph get results, she is fun, reliable and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend Steph and Good Sit!

Because of work I had to travel to the Pacific Northwest for 2 weeks leaving my Buddy Howie home alone... Annette The Pet Nanny was recommended by a friend. Howie is a Tennessee Catahoula, he is big and friendly. He needs walking twice a day. I met Annette and was impressed with her presentation, services and references. I opted to have Annette stay at my home to provide added security and piece of mind. She had informed me that her employee Shawn would help with the walking. I met Shawn upon my return. Both women were fantastic and professional.The pictures they sent to me of Howie really did help my angst. Great Job! Thanks!! Larry

The Pet Nanny and her crew have been taking wonderful care of our pet rats ever since we took our first trip. Annette first met with us at our home and spent a lot of time getting to know how to take care of them. Then she carefully selected one of her staff to watch the boys. We get photos every day with an update on "the boys." Besides feeding them and cleaning the cage, our sitter plays with them and makes sure they get out of the cage for some exercise. For long trips, our sitter has also replenished the fresh food supply. Over two years and at least six trips (some over 2+ weeks) she's become a second mom to them! I can't recommend The Pet Nanny enough!

Annette came to our hotel & cuddled our fur babies while we enjoyed a show at the Shoreline. She sent texts giving us updates & pictures to reassure us. 100% recommend her for any pet sitting needs!

My dog, Aura, loves going to Isabel! I drop her off for daycare when I go to work and she always comes back happy and well exercised. Isabel focuses on structured play and takes Aura and her entire pack on multiple walks to various parks throughout the day. Unlike other commercial daycares, she is very selective about which dogs she accepts in her pack which is why I can trust that Aura will never be stuck with dogs that she doesn’t enjoy playing with or who are overly aggressive. She thoroughly enjoys and is very passionate about all the dogs she takes care of. Isabel is very thorough and I am very relieved and care free when my Aura is with her. Aura has started listening to commands better and has started walking on the leash much better since she started with Isabel. It’s great to finally find someone that cares about Aura as much as we do!

Isabel is fantastic! Very easy to communicate with, and my dog comes home a tired and happy boy. Highly recommend.

Lucy is God sent!! I was in the area for an emergency and dogs are not allowed in the ICU but Ms. Lucy came to our rescue. Tails Up Pet Care is professional, provided video updates and was absolutely amazing with Kitty our four month old teacup Yorkie.

Lucy and Diana continue to be such great help during COVID. They are careful about following proper health protocols and I have never felt at risk with them walking my dogs. Thank you!

Lucy, the owner, and Diana have just been a pleasure to work with in taking care of our little guy, Benji. Benji gets lots of attention and love during his playgroup sessions monday thru friday and we get daily pics of Benji having fun with his doggie friends. Tails up is very professional, responsive and are clear dog lovers. Diana is our main playgroup leader, and she's been trustworthy and reliable, as is Lucy. A pleasure to have them with us for the past 4-5 years.

While I work 2 days per week in San Francisco, the dog handlers at TailsUp have been taking my pup for group play dates for 2+ years. They adore her and pair her with equally social dogs. She is happy and exercised when I come home, which is a win-win for both of us!

Sue and the team have been looking after our dog and cat for around a year. At this point, they’re like family! We've been using Sue Cashman and her crew for a long time and absolutely love them. Rico and his predecessor the late great Beau love it when Sue stays over when we're on vacation or out of town. They're very responsible and responsive! You can't go wrong.
