We were so happy with our dog’s grooming. The place we went to before burned his muzzle with clippers, always did a cut they wanted too and felt very rush. The groomer at Kennelwood cut his hair just like I wanted it done, the staff was so kind and he even got a report card at the end of the day. I definitely will recommend this facility in the future to others.

We brought our greyhound, Bullet, to Kennelwood for an overnight stay - and he was such a happy boy when we picked him up (a sure sign that he had a fun time)! I love how a report card is provided, too. And you can tell how much the staff cares about the resort guests. Clean, friendly, and great service! Thanks, Kennelwood South County!!

My new puppy spent the night at Kennelwood and had a great time! I loved getting to see him on video and they sent me text updates with photos. He did the day camp and loved playing with his new friends. Then he got groomed and looked so fluffy. I love this place and so did he.

In nearly 30 yrs of raising dogs, I have never had to board any of them...so this was a very big deal to me. After visiting several other kennels, it was clear that Kennelwood was the only choice for me. They made me feel so comfortable about Bells stay. The message and photo they sent really just melted my heart. I knew in that moment that she was doing great and my baby girl was receiving excellent care. Thank you kindly to the wonderful South county Staff at Kennelwood.

Our little fluff, Bella the Cat was well taken care of during her stay. She was content and happy when we picked her up. We felt relaxed knowing she was cared for while we were on vacation. We would recommend and have our cat stay again at Kennelwood Pet Resort.

They had me & Waffles in & out so efficiently, for his nail filing, we were early and done before our appointment time! I felt so bad because I scheduled at the wrong location, but they were amazing about taking him and changing it for me!!!! Waffles had a HORRIBLE experience at a different place, but Kennelwood was the opposite of that! He came out all smiles, wearing an adorable bandana. I love this place!!!!! I will be coming here for all of his grooming / training needs!!!Also met with Megan, a trainer, and she is AWESOME and owns a Corgi, also, so I knew it was meant to be!!!! 🥰🙏

Kennelwood did an excellent job as usual. My dog Lacie was supposed to have a bath, furcut and a nail cut & file. I could tell she'd had a bath & furcut, and it looked like her nails were filed. But they were still longer than I'd expected; I thought they'd be shorter. Plus, one of her front nails was broken, so I had to finish removing it. They gave her a cute colorful striped bandana. She looked so pretty & happy. A lady helped me by lifting Lacie into my car as she was too heavy for me. That was so nice. I will continue to go there; although next time I think I'll check her nails before leaving the building.

I used another Kennelwood location multiple times prior to this without issue. After using this location for 7 days, my dog had lost 8 lbs, and was not well. According to the location, everything went fine, but there is no way he was visibly thinner and unwell if everything had been "fine" all week. We're watching him closely now, and will definitely not return.

This staff is amazing! We went in for a first time grooming visit there and our Mini Aussie was insane coming in being around all the dogs. They all remained calm and very professional, even after he wiggled out of his harness and tried sniffing other dogs. The groomer also did an amazing job! We loved the experience so much that we booked a training evaluation to get our crazy puppy some manners 😂. Thank you so much Kennelwood staff!

I have been taking my dog to Y Bark Alone for about 3 years now for boarding and daycare. She loves going there!! They take such good care of the dogs. I recently took an extended trip and she was there for 2 1/2 weeks and they took extra special care of her. The owner is great to work with and the staff is friendly!!

We’ve been coming to Y Bark Alone for almost 11 years. We bring both of our dogs a couple days a week for day care and we board them both regularly. We LOVE it here! They have a friendly staff who get to know the dogs and the owners. Highly recommend!

We left our two doggies here about two weeks due to a PCS move! The owner was amazing! We got to go up there and see the pups before rest time anytime we wanted. The owner and workers were overall amazing and our dogs were treated great!

My pups come home extremely tired. They fall asleep on the ride home! They are well taken care of when they are at Y Bark Alone. Kaylee always takes great care of my two babies. She is so friendly and loving. Sonny is great. My babies love seeing him in great them in the morning.

Seems like a second home for our dogs. Patches treats our Pomeranian like she's her own. Would definitely recommend this business!

At 10 in the morning we got a call from Y Bark Alone telling us that there was an accident with our dog. While on the phone the owner was talking to the groomer asking her how bad she thought it was. They finally concluded that 1/2" of my dogs ear had been bitten off. They said that it was not bleeding and that they were not sure what had happened. I was still concerned and asked the owner to take Remi to the vet that is next door. At around 2 in the afternoon, we hadn't heard anything, so I called them again to see what was going on. I find out that, now, it was a little puppy that accidentally bit off a chunk of my dogs ear. But that she didnt wimper or anything because they found out when someone saw blood and a chunk of ear on the ground. I then find out that my poor dog had been put in a kennel for the remainder of the day because they "didn't want her to get blood everywhere" - that is a quote from the owner. So, not only is she still bleeding (lie from that morning), but she has also been kept in a kennel all day and still has not been taken to the vet. They finally took her to the vet at 4PM. I was able to pick her up right around the same time, and the attached pictures show what had happened. Nearly a third of her ear was bitten off. But it's not that big of a deal and she didnt make a peep. Right. We asked for a refund of our remaining package and I signed a waiver stating that if my dog is physically harmed they are not liable - which is true. I dont want to sue Y Bark Alone. I completely understand that dogs will be dogs. I just simply dont feel comfortable taking my dog there anymore because the owner is a dishonest troll. It's a shame too, most of the staff is very nice. They just cannot manage the amount of animals they have. Go read the other reviews. Another guys dog was killed there and they didnt even tell him. I wish I had read that before I brought mine there. She'd still have two full ears. Do yourself a favor and take your dog to No Leash Needed. They actually have limits on how many animals can be in one area at a time.

We absolutely love this place! I know they've had some turnover recently but the owners absolutely love the dogs. they are very accommodating to repeat customers. they'll keep your dog, no questions asked, if need be last minute. they are very reasonably priced. there is someone on site 24/7 so your dog is never alone. our dog gets so excited to go there and she's always happily worn out when she comes home. we drive 30 minutes to take her here! there really is no where else we'd want to go.

Celsi is the BEST boarding host! She is absolutely caring about each and every one of the pets she watches and my dog loved her so much I wasn’t sure she’d want to come back home! Not only is Celsi an amazing host but the environment she provides for the dogs is such an essential primal canine experience because dogs are pack animals. I have not seen my dog thriving more than when she’s roaming as part of the pack! I highly recommend boarding at Celsi’s Dog Care. You can feel confident that your pet is getting the best attention and stimulating environment while you’re away.

I just had the best experience boarding my dog at Celsi’s! Celsi is super friendly and really cares about the animals. The facility is clean and spacious, with tons of space for exercise and play. I loved receiving daily updates and photos—they really put my mind at ease knowing my pup was having a great time. When I picked him up, he was so happy and clearly well taken care of. I can’t recommend Celsi’s enough for anyone looking for quality dog boarding. I’ll definitely be back!

Celsi is awesome! My family planned a road trip through St. Louis, and wanted to go up in the arch, but dogs aren’t allowed. I found Celsi through maps, and she was easy to get a hold of, and said that she could watch my Shepherd mix while my family went to the arch. I totally forgot to submit all of my paperwork and confirm my booking, but she made it work for me, even though it was my mistake. She was so accommodating, and took great care of my dog while I was gone. So glad I found her!

Celsi is the best! We’ve boarded twice with her. Our two pups get all the love and attention they need. They were spoiled and loved playing with the other dogs. Great socialization for your pups.

Celsi is amazing. Her love for the dogs is clear and I know our lil dog is in good hands when I drop her off for daycare. I love that they are active and get to play, but also have opportunities to snuggle up and relax. I also love that she takes pictures of the pups playing that I get to see while I’m away! We took a 10 day vacation this year and boarded with Celsi. We had no issues and Celsi makes the whole process easy. She was a happy loved dog when we brought her back home. I’m so grateful we found Celsi!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I just recently moved back into the area and I have an 8 month old puppy named Bear. I work full time and had in home care for him regularly up until a month ago. I wanted to find somewhere that was warm and welcoming but also safe for my dog. Celsi is all of those things and more! Bear has been going for almost three weeks and I have already begun to see positive behavior changes. He is so tired when he comes home in the best way possible and just relaxes. He now knows when we are going and happily jumps in my car to go. I take Bear 2-3 days a week and the prices are extremely reasonable for the care and level of love your animal is getting. Celsi is professional with her business and processes as well as considerate of people like me who are new to this process. Her daughter makes and sometimes sells home made treats which are nutritious and yummy. Celsi posts on Facebook which I love because I can see how Bear is doing when I am not with him. I cannot say enough positive things about this little gem of a business in Affton!! Look no further If you are looking for a place for your dog to be loved, mentally stimulated and safe. I am so grateful we have found her space and can’t wait to watch Bear make new friends and grow there.. :)

We are so lucky we found Celsi’s Dog Care a little over 2 years ago! We have such peace of mind when we leave our dog for vacations knowing that Celsi treats them like her own! She’s very accommodating, keeps you in the loop with pictures and videos, and my dog loves her! I can’t recommend her enough!!

I have used Celsi multiple time to watch my pup on long trips and have never felt better about the care of my pup! He gets so excited to see her so I know how well she treats him! I get pictures and videos and when I reach out to check on him she responds quickly. Celsi is great to work with, professional and organized. Finally, her prices are the best I have found, which is great because I feel I get the family touch for a price much lower than the big kennels! I highly recommend and will continue to work with her!

Celsi is amazing. I take my 4-month-old puppy once or twice a week and he has the best time ever he comes home. He's happy. It's an amazing place. They have little dogs. They have larger dogs but she does a great job with all of them. I recommend it highly

Celsi is AMAZING! We boarded our three pups for the first time and had some hesitancy about doing so because they’re our babies. But Celsi made sure to update us when we requested and she always posted pics and videos of them so that we could see how much fun they were having! She definitely gave us a sense of comfort and trust when it came to caring for our pups. We would definitely use Celsi’s services again and definitely recommend her go all the dog moms and dads out there!

We’ve been taking our dog to Love Unleashed for about a year now and love it! There are a lot of personal touches such as birthday parties and report cards. The staff is so genuine and kind. Our golden retriever always comes home tired which is hard to do! They also post pictures on Facebook which we really appreciate when we she is boarded and we don’t see her for a couple of days. I always feel confident dropping her off that she will be safe and have lots of fun with the other dogs. Would definitely recommend!

My dogs and I love Love unleashed! The workers seem to really care about your dog. Both of mine are rescues that are very timid with new people, but the staff at LU have taken the time to get to know them and really helped them come out of their shell when there. I love that I can go on Facebook and look and pictures of their day at LU bc the staff post hundreds of pics of the pups each day! Great place.

We had our dog's 2nd Birthday party in their event rental space. Love Unleashed went above and beyond to make sure our pups had an amazing day! The room was very spacious and had cute decorations. I would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to rent out a space for dogs to play. We will be back, thank you very much Love Unleashed!!!

I have a very well socialized dog. We are members of several dog parks, never have issues. I wanted to start her at doggy daycare so I scheduled a meet and greet with Love Unleashed. They took her back for a total of 10 minutes before deeming her “aggressive” and denying her admission. They said she was pretty nervous to start, but yet they just kept adding more dogs to the room despite knowing she was feeling apprehensive, and then she snarled. It was her first time away from me, they just tossed her straight into a roomful of dogs without proper introduction, and jumped to conclusions in determining her temperament within that short 10 min window. What a joke. (In comparison, their top competitor does a 4 hour temperament assessment to ease the dogs in properly.) Happy to take my business elsewhere!

It's hard to overstate the quality of care that my dog gets here, either weekly daycare or the occasional boarding stay. I wouldn't take him anywhere else.

My dog is always welcomed and she loves to go! Prices are best in town. I wish they offered full grooming services.

Let me start first with the positive. Some of the staff at both locations were extremely nice and the hours are great for healthcare workers! The price was more than reasonable. But what I will say is if your dog has any issues (overwhelmed at dog parks etc) this is not the place to go. Some of the staff does not know how to handle dog behaviors or give proper breaks to dogs becoming overwhelmed. My dog would do great if she got there earlier however they would have up to 100 dogs in a small space (800sqft?). You could always hear barking and chaos from the back. This was very stressful to my dog. My main issue was the way I was treated on my final interaction with staff. The lady that day took all of 5 minutes from me dropping my dog off for boarding as I was leaving town to call me and state my dog was no longer welcomed at their facility. But don't worry they offered to keep her crated for FOUR DAYS for the same price... nice try. We went to a much nicer facility where my dog had the treatment and playtime she deserved. She was no longer in a crowded gym with 100 dogs at a time ready to brawl it out. Based off this last interaction I would not recommend Love Unleashed. Unfortunately for traveling HCW they are the ONLY dog daycare in STL with hours outside of 7-7.

They take such good care of our dog Sophie, I will not take her any where else. I love the staff and how well they handle everything. Highly recommend. They also have packs you can buy that make boarding super affordable. :)

Love Unleashed is absolutely amazing! My pups now jump at the words "You wanna go to daycare?". Love Unleashed has a wonderful staff who goes above and beyond to ensure my dogs are getting the special attention they deserve! They put pictures up on Facebook of your dog while they are at daycare so you can see how they are doing while you are at work! They also host and are involved with multiple events which they always invite us to! I also just recently boarded my pup with them. Because of their such amazing daycare services, I trusted them with watching my dog for the weekend. They only give their attention to their boarding dogs during the weekend, and they post pictures of them having a great time throughout their stay! It was easy to see that my puppy was having so much fun. They are so personable, and always greet my pups and I by name. I have 110% trust that when I drop my dogs off for the day that they will not only be cared for, but will also have the times of their lives. I highly recommend any of their services to anyone!

Brian has been nothing but flexible and understanding while walking my dog Hooch. Hooch's temperament is a bit on the anxious side, and having Brian walk him has made a big improvement in how relaxed he is in the evening. Brian has also been very accommodating with shifting his walk schedule from time to time due to my work schedule. Great communication, and has always let me know how my dog was for the day if I ask.

Brian has been amazing! Brian has been walking my Chocolate lab since I was relocated to St. Louis in January. He is great at communicating how your pet is doing and any changes he notices. He has been super reliable and adaptable to my work schedule. I would recommend STL Happy Dogs to anyone looking for someone who cares about the care of their pet.

Brian really helped me out during my travels through St. Louis. I had tried several larger dog sitters and all were either booked, didn’t return my calls or required a meet and greet prior to my dog spending the day. Upon meeting Brian, he was immediately aware of my dog’s anxiety due to traveling. She willingly went with him which made me feel at ease about leaving her. I am so glad Brian was able to keep my dog as active as I was while we visited St. Louis. His prices are reasonable and his service was greatly appreciated.

I agree, Brian was a lifesaver! He was able to watch my dog Riley when I had some last-minute plans. We did a meet a greet and my dog loved him, she was immediately at ease! Brian was super easy-going and nice to work with. He even took care of Riley's upset stomach after getting into the trash (sorry!). I felt horrible that she got sick at his place, especially bc I was running late picking her up the next day! But he was so nice to take care of her and was not upset that I was late or at the fact she got sick at his place! He even said she was welcome back :)

Brian with STL Happy Dogs watched our 3 cats when we went on vacation recently. He was responsive and made sure they received lots of pets, food and a clean litter box. Our travel plans were disrupted and we had to stay an extra day and Brian made time to stop by and check in on the cats that extra day. It's clear he really cares about the pets he is caring for. Would highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Brian when I was a student and needed someone to care for my new cat over school breaks. He was very professional and accommodating to the specifics of what I needed, including playing with and spending time with my cat. He took great care of my neighbor's dog, too. Brian was a miracle worker from day one. His response time was impeccable. We struggled with getting control of our rescue dog for nearly three years before we reached out to Brian & STL Happy Dogs. His presence was immediately helpful with finally integrating our dog into the household as a real family member. We have also used his boarding services when we travel and I wouldn't trust my dog more with anyone else.

Brian did a nice job taking care of my 2 kitties over a weekend. He was calm and quiet so they took to him instantly! He has reasonable prices, sent pics of my cats at his visits and he kept their food and litter bucket areas immaculately clean. I really appreciated that. I would use his services again .

Brian was very responsive when I contacted him on-line for pet sitting on short notice. He came right out to our house to meet the animals. While we were away he kept in communication with us about how it was going, especially with our dog who can sometimes be reluctant. It so happened that our neighborhood lost power due to a storm while we were away, and Brian let us know and was making sure it didn’t get too warm in the house for the animals. He visited several times a day, and was very flexible when we let him know we would be returning later than originally planned. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Brian and STL Happy Dogs, LLC again, and actually plan to in the very near future! Thank you Brian!

Brian watched our cat for two trips and we’ve been very happy with the service. He came by ahead of our first trip and learned our cat’s needs and routine. He sends text updates with a photo with each visit, which we appreciated and keeps everything tidy.

I have found our new kennel as well as groomer! Charlie and Murphy had so much fun and they even had their doppelgängers there the same time they were! Everyone was so friendly and communication was wonderful! I received multiple videos and photos of my babies while we were gone and could not appreciate that more! We and (our boys) love White House Kennels Boarding and Grooming. We had an emergency come up this past week and called ahead and Krista slid our boys (Mozzie & Max) in for a few days til everything was resolved. It was so greatly appreciated and as always the boys had a great time! We also look forward every year at The holiday season spending some time there. 5 stars for the love and care given to our boys and us!

The kennel we used to use closed so we needed to find a new one AND WE LOVED WHITE HOUSE! They were so nice, sent me pictures and video updates of our dog while he was there, and came home so tired. I know he had the best time and was well taken care of. We will definitely be back.

Krista is great! She grooms my Great Pyrenees mix and does a great job. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for a groomer. White House is very affordable compared to other groomers I have used.

They do such a great job caring for my 2 big dogs! They provide love and care to them and they keep me up to date on everything when I am out of town. They also provide photos and make sure they stay healthy while we are gone. I highly recommend this place for your pets!!

Took both of my doodle mixes to see the groomer here. Both great experiences. Cleaned my doodles right up. My favorite part is that there is a family friendly vibe. Also - the prices are much more reasonable than other places in the area. Thank you so much !! We will be back soon ! :D

Clover was definitely not the easiest dog, but White House Kennel was very patient and attentive, given the circumstances. I was updated daily and they made me feel like she was cared for, carefully. Thank you guys for taking care of my baby while we were gone. We had a wonderful experience!

I was so happy I found this place! Not all dogs are able to do the "cage free" Kennels. Ours especially..lol! They are Indoor/Outdoor kennels with Heat and A.C. Plus there is a big yard for them to roam with other dogs or some alone time if that's what you need. Amanda was the nicest person and wasn't at all bothered to let us know how she was doing when I called to check on her since I was worried about boarding her. I would recommend this place to everyone and we will be back as well.

I have one happy dog after spending 5 nights here. I can’t thank Playful Paws enough for taking such great care of our Baby and on very short notice! It was our first time and will definitely not be the last. This place is different than most, you walk in and see everything. No closed doors. They’re not hiding your dogs. Outside play area is adorable and you can peek in to see. Again, no hiding.

Walked in the door to inquire about boarding, there was dog hair all over the entry rug and a foul smell, then walked thru the next door into the facility, the STRONG smell of urine and dirty dog took my breath away, awful!! I turned around and walked right back out the door. I would never leave my dog there! I don’t see how employees & the pets aren’t having major respiratory issues.

We boarded three dogs here for seven nights and it is a great place with awesome pricing! Love that they include daycare with the boarding price and let you pick if you want your dog in it. The staff is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and super patient with dogs that are timid. My italian greyhound was snippy and territorial, so they took the time to sit with her and get to know her. They also made sure my shepherd received extra attention since he is not very dog friendly. They even sent a text to update me about the dogs. They accept intact dogs which is a plus. I would 1000% recommend this place.

I was so sad to leave my dog somewhere while I went on vacation but Playful Paws made me feel at ease. They assured me everything would be fine and gave me the run down of how they operate. They gave me updates almost every day and were so kind. I was able to actually enjoy my vacation instead of worrying about my dog the entire time. We will definitely be coming back 🐶

This is by far the BEST place around for boarding and daycare. The owner is fantastic and really pushes to provide the best care and facility for all the dogs. I have never had to worry about my boy while he is in their care. They have huge rooms for the dogs…it has to be at least 6’x8’ that my husky stays in! And the prices are reasonable, if anything they are cheaper than the competitors because of all they have and do for the dogs there. It is outstanding how much time these dogs have to play and run and get attention ….most places do not come close to the amount of time each dog gets to be out of their rooms. My boy isn’t the easiest or too friendly with other dogs but they never tell me they have any problems with him. And rarely do they even need to give him his anxiety meds because they make it so comfortable for him to stay. They know how to care for individual needs of each pet and that is very important to most owners. I cannot thank them enough for providing a peace of mind while I travel for work and leave my fur baby with them. I just picked my boy up from a 5 night stay and he was in a great mood, very happy pup! Check them out, you won’t be disappointed!

This place isn't just a business it is my bloodhounds second home. To see how excited and happy my dog is when we drop him off for boarding puts my mind at ease. The owner Melanie is hands down one of the best! Her love for the animals she takes on everyday really shows. My dog is always excited to see her and her staff. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else.

My dog boards here and honestly I’m so grateful that this place exists. The owner is very kind and passionate about her job. I wanted to make sure my dog was going to a place where he would receive a lot of care and attention. Hearing Melanie talk about her love for dogs reassured me. I can tell my dog really loves coming here! He only goes a few times a week but he gets super excited every time he comes here. We were nervous about him being around other dogs, but she was able to slowly introduce him to a few other pups with no issues. He finally has friends!! I highly recommend this place!

We recently boarded our 11 month old boxer here for 7 days while we we're on vacation. We feel like she was taking care of during her stay. I know no one is to blame but when we picked her up you could tell she was sick. Her eye's where crusted with discharge, kept coughing, and nose was super snotty. Once we were able to get her into the vet 2 days later she was diagnosed with kennel cough. Which really sucks because now our Chihuahua has come down with it too! I'm tried making Facebook messaging them to let them know because it is highly contagious. Message was never check I even called the owner Melanie on her personal cell and left a message. I just feel upset that she couldn't even call back and show some kind of acknowledgement that she got my message and is taking care of the problem and or notifying other owners that have stayed there .

Melody the owner is a very nice person and a very trustworthy person she really cares about the animals that come into her business.

Playful paws is a wonderful place for dogs. My little dog goes there regularly due to separation anxiety and he is so happy there. Melanie and her staff understand dogs and have created a safe, fun environment for them.

The Happy Dog Spot is the best of the best! Our dog boarded for four nights and was very well taken care of. He has boarded many places, but the Happy Dog Spot is the gold standard. The team gave us a thoughtful overview of how they care for the dogs during their stay and provided an overview of the facility. Beyond that, the team was extremely easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions. Their love for dogs is evident and much appreciated. Krystal is an amazing groomer! She takes such good care of my princess fur baby that she loves going to the groomer. Appointment booking is easy and she does just what I ask for with my dog's cut.

I used to take my pomsky there once a week for socialization and play time with other puppies and dogs. She seemed to enjoy it at firest and they seemed knowledgeable and caring about the dogs. I didn't like we were not given a tour of the building or knew about the set up. They said she trying to jump their fences after taking her a few times. They offered to try and work with her but weren't really forth coming of how they would do that. I'm sure their set up works for a lot of dogs but after observing her via webcam a another place I feel is better for her. They are also reasonable on pricing but I think just having fenced off areas doesn't work for my girl her new place has actual rooms and that seems to work out better.

I have been using the daycare for about a year. I tried several and this is the only one my dog wanted to come back to - he absolutely loves it! They have a huge indoor space and ample outdoor space, wonderful staff to dog ratio, super clean, attentive and professional staff, grooming and boarding as well.

My dog and I always have a great experience at Happy Dog Spot! They offer boarding and daycare so I've always got somewhere to take him. My boy always has so much fun and comes back worn out ready for the next day.
