We’ve been a client of Sittin Pretty since they opened because of their genuine love and care for our pups. Barbara and her team go above and beyond to ensure that our pets are comfortable during the grooming process. They always come home looking so healthy, clean and smelling wonderful. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Sitting Pretty has been great. They really do a fantastic job grooming. My little poodle Jammer always looks great when I pick him up. I went to drop him off last Saturday morning for his appointment and was advised I had never signed a waiver. I didn't know about a waiver, I've been using local groomers for years and have never had to sign a waiver. I'm not going to sign a waiver that protects them and not my little fella. It should work both ways. Dogs move, they can get injured with scissors, I get that. Kids move during haircuts. Sometimes they get poked. Do we sign waivers getting haircuts? Three sessions back, I picked Jammer up and he was sitting on the lap of a girl sitting in the lobby. She let go of him, and he jumped, hit the ground pretty hard bumpung his chin and clacking his teeth. Jammer is 12 and has very tiny bones. Was this Jammers fault? No, she could've set him down. Did I do anything? No, because I live in the real world. It was an accident. Was he hurt? No, not at all. What if he had been hurt and they had a waiver releasing them of all liability? What if it's more than a cut? What of they fall off of the table? What if an eye gets poked out? The waiver does not mention fault or facts. It does not protect your pet at all. I canceled his appt and left with my little buddy. The owner was very nice and called me to talk it over, she admitted the waiver may need to be updated to reflect accidents and even advised that she always does the right thing including paying for vet bills. That's awesome! I won't knock them for doing what they feel is right. She mentioned her attorney advised it. As a medical professional I understand waivers very well and know a waiver won't stand up against negligence. The problem is your dog can't talk, or tell you what happened. Had Jammer been injured in this fall that I personally witnessed, that waiver wouldn't be worth the paper it's printed on. Had I not witnessed it and he was injured, anything could've been said and I would've been liable for his injuries because of that waiver. All this being said, Sitting Pretty does a fantastic job grooming.

Barbara and her staff are AMAZING! Phoebe the Poodle loves going to see them and she always looks stunning after they work their magic. THE best groomers in the greater Waco area!

We just had his nails done there and Barbara is so amazing! She knows that my Great Dane is Mom's shadow and gently coaxes him back. Once he remembers her he loves her and they are best friends! The only groomer I ever recommend!😍 8/24/24 This was Benjamin's first groomer appointment and they were so easy with him and made sure he was comfortable every step of the way. They're nail trimming is on point! Apparently Benjamin serenaded them while waiting for me to pick him up! Great service! Thank you!

First time yesterday with my 2 yr old Cattle Dog/ Husky Mix. It's starting to be summer time again, and he is shedding out his winter coat bad! Finding groomers in Waco to help me with this issue has always been a huge struggle. When I picked him up yesterday and have never seen him so clean & cut! He even looked like he lost a few pounds without all that hair he had on him. Ashlee did a fantastic job and will be recommending her to everyone I know!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CATS TO THIS PLACE!!! I dropped my cat off for a shave, nail trim and flea dip only to be called 20/30min later saying I needed to pick her up as soon as possible because she has fleas and will not let them bath her. I understand it is out of anyones control if the pet is uncooperative but to have to pick her up like this and then being told she is infested with fleas to the point where she is needing to see the vet was a bit of a stretch. Clearly you can see in the pics she is not and to add to it they cut her. To add insult to injury they changed me $50.75 plus tip (no area to not leave one. Note the total fee for all services would've been $79.99) for this botched job. I don't mind paying a fair price for trying but i feel $50 plus tip is a little excessive. I called back and spoke to the owner, Barbara, who was not very understanding or accommodating. She went on to say anyone in town would've charged me the same and she did the best she could. In my opinion this is very poor customer service, not once did she say "I'm sorry", it was just i did my best and thats all i can do and the charge is the charge. Maybe they just need to stick with dogs because obviously cats are not their strong suit.

Sitting pretty did the best haircut on my Pomeranian. I just love it. I will be taking him back for sure. The have always done a great job!!!

We love taking our dogs here to get their nails ground down. It is always super quick, and they take care not to go past the quick. The prices are great, and the groomers are amazing.

Such a great place! I was so nervous to be away from my dogs for a few days, but I trusted this place and the owners when I met them. Jane was so helpful and has thought of everything to keep them safe. She sent me regular updates, which I greatly appreciate! The cabin was air conditioned and the fencing well made, so I knew my dogs were safe and comfortable. I also loved that it is in a nice rural area. Thank yall so much for taking such good care of my dogs for me. :) They came home so happy!

Absolutely the best place to take your animals!! Jane and her Husband are the best. I had no worries when leaving my animals with her. They groom just perfect. My fur babies have always been so nervous about being boarded or groomed anywhere but not here they are excited when I say lets go to the spa, my little girl dog jumps into Jane's arms!!!!

We love Garden of Eden Pet Resort, they are our grooming (which is not easy, Akita’s are big dogs) & boarding choice. Very nice & caring and the boarding cabins have A/C 😁 …

Our fur babies love coming here for their spa day, and for a mini vacation from us. Jane and her husband are absolutely the best people to work with, they care for your pet as if it was their pet. While boarding our babies here the cabins are always clean and well taken care of.

This is a great place to take your dogs for boarding when you need or want to go out of town. The dogs have their own air conditioned/ heated house with a bed and radio. The houses have fencing around them, so the dogs have their very own private area. The owners take pride in their work and are eager to have your dogs with them. There is also a groomer on site who can bathe, or groom your dogs before you pick them up. Overall excellent place.

This was our first time of needing a boarding place for our dog. We are so glad we chose Garden of Eden. Their facilities were amazing and they took such good care of Boomer. And while he was there, we had him groomed. The best cut he has ever had. Can’t say enough good things about them. We will definitely be going back for grooming and or boarding.

Garden of Eden Pet Resort is, in my humble opinion, an Eden on Earth for my 3 pups! I take my standard poodle there for grooming; Jane and Tim are fantastic, loving, kind people. My rough and tumble weimeraner and terrier lodge there in the special- designed red cabins....with air conditioning! Each cabin has it's private porch and fencing. It is a "country" setting.....no concrete, loud traffic or hub-bub. Love the owners!!!

This was such a great experience. You can tell they love dogs and know what they are doing - so professional and friendly! If I could give them more stars I would. I'm so happy with how they gave my two Pekingese who were such a mess the very best treatment. And the coffee was great! Thanks so much, guys.

Jane is great! She took the time to explain exactly what I needed to dog for my Aussiedoodle. Very down to earth place and great with my pups 1st time at a groomer.

Jane is wonderful. Friendly and informative. Has given me excellent information on how to care for my sweet boy. Never gotten a"bad haircut" here. Recommend this place to everyone living in the area

My dogs love it here, they actually drag us in! We've used Brazos Valley Boarding Kennels a few times now for boarding, they seem to always be full so we try to make our plans way in advance. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. They have doggie day care too...we have not used it. I'm giving 5 stars because we have never had a problem, my son may disagree because his dog's medicine was misplaced last time. I have no doubt they will find it and call him

Absolutely amazing staff members, all heart and a pleasure to work with! (I volunteer) I even adopted a pupper and I'm going back for 1 more! Wish I could take them all.

We boarded our dog and cat for a week while on vacation. They took great care of them, even paying special attention to our dog who is a senior. We definitely will use them again and highly recommend! Opie and Layla said thank you!

Very pleased with all around service. As much as we missed him, we were not worried about him at all, because we had left him in good hands.

I have never felt comfortable allowing anyone to keep my boys... until I met Leslie! This team truly cares about each and every dog, and treats them with the same loving care as their own pets. They put great care into making sure our boys got the proper food, medication, and overall care. I was shocked at how affectionate they were with my oldest boy- who can be a bit unpredictable in new environments. These people are DOG WHISPERERS! If you are a nervous dog parent, and are looking for a place to keep a close eye on your babies- look no further! BVBK is a true gem! From start to finish, this was a phenomenal experience! Thank you to the entire team for the very high standard you have set in Pet Care.

My dogs are always well taken care of when the board with Brazos Valley Boarding! The only reason I didn't give a five-star review is because my dogs food bowls were returned chewed up when I picked them up once. Minor complaint

Brought my puppy here while going out of town and I'm so glad I did. If I could rate it more stars I would! My little pup was so happy when picking him up and I will definitely be bringing him back! I will be recommending this place to my friends & family, y'all bring your dogs, they'll love it!!

I dropped off my Heeler, Nubby, for the weekend while I went out of town and they took care of her like she was one of their own! They did a fabulous job and Nubby looked so happy when I picked her up. They told me all about her weekend and what she did there. We will definitely be back!

We have been taking our border collie here for several years and have had no issues. We recently placed him there and advised them that he had developed a fear of thunderstorms and that he will dig on concrete. Also spoke to them about storms in the forecast during his stay. When we came to pick him up they showed us pictures of the concrete wall he had dug at during the storm (the one we told them was coming). They stated that our dog could not come anymore because they couldn't have their place damaged. We advised them that we had discussed this situation before hand and even told them when the storm was coming. Their response was, "Well I had to go to lunch." They were very defensive with us because I am sure they did not want to be blamed for any injuries to our dog. Our dog was OK and their wall can be easily and cheaply repaired. It is disappointing that they were unable to deal with an animal who is scared of storms, especially when we communicated in great detail with them about the situation. Also, he has been coming here for eight years, so we hoped they would have known him a little better. Very sad, we hoped for a different level of care and concern for our dog. I recommend them for basic care, but any situation that requires effort I would recommend other arrangements.

This place is awesome! We've been boarding our girl here for over three years and I am always impressed when I drop her off and when I pick her up. I don't leave many reviews, but when I get exceptionally good service, I try to let everyone know. I also leave bad reviews when needed, but it usually takes more than one bad experience for me to do so. I noticed a recent review and I can relate to a dog with anxiety issues....my girl gets really freaked out by storms too! But the staff has always been great about giving my girl her anxiety medication when storms are near. Without her meds, she can wreak havoc. Not sure why anyone would board their dog without medication if this is a known issue. If my girl tore something up, I would be so embarrassed! Thank you to the staff for taking such good care of Esme!

I love purr- perfect paw. I needed someone I could trust with my two dogs and I found them! They are so kind and caring. My girls love my sitter. She takes great care of my dogs. I feel so good and don’t worry about my girls knowing that Sharon is taking care of them. What a blessing purr- perfect paw is for my family!

We have been using Purr-fect Paw for a few years now and absolutely love them. We have never had an issue or problem with anything. I love receiving an update and best of all pictures on my animals when I am gone. I highly recommend them.

The Purrfect Paw is totally amazing! They’ve taken all the worry out of traveling for me! After I adopted my rescue cat, I was worried about boarding her. The Purrfect Paw is the PERFECT solution to this— I love how they come check on my cat at home, so that she can stay comfortable while I’m away. I appreciate the really detailed information you get after each visit, including photos, information about what was done during the visit, and an update on how my pet is doing. I miss my cat when I’m away, but feel SO relieved knowing she is being cared for at home, where she feels safest, by awesome sitters. I absolutely trust Purrfect Paw to take care of my precious cat and make sure my apartment is okay while I’m away too. Cannot recommend this company enough— they are the best!!!

Their website was very informative and easy to navigate. They messaged back very quickly when I inquired about a free meet and greet for my cat. I'm very excited to not have to board my cat and keep him in his environment. They are also very reasonably priced for in home pet care. I look forward to working with them. I've just finished using their service for the first time and they have far exceeded my expectations!! They are wonderful with my cat, sending several pictures each day and full, detailed report. I will recommend this service to everyone I know in the area!

Time to Pet takes care of my horses when we are out of town. The group takes time to read all the details of each animal to ensure proper care and my bunch is not what I would consider easy. They range in age and size which means different feeds and supplements. They are extremely timely in their visits, they notify you when they are there and when they leave, and then send a full report. It sure takes the anxiety away from leaving your loved animals!! So thankful for their service.

The Purrfect Paw took care of my beautiful cat for over a week and sent me pictures and cute updates every day. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing that my cat was safe and being cared for by people who cared for his well-being. Thank y'all!

Happy Hounds is our pup, Skylars, second home. She cannot wait to go every day. The team there does a world class job taking care of Sky and the staff has become great friends of our family as well. The owner, manager, and staff always take the best care of my dogs. All I have to do is ask my dogs if they want to go to Happy Hounds and see Mr. Brooks and Ms. Shelby, and they go crazy. It's their second home and they love it! There is no other daycare/boarding facility I would entrust the care of my dogs to in the Waco area. Happy Hounds is simply the BEST!!

My dog has been a happy hound for two years now. I moved him to this daycare because the pups can go in and out. He gets all day play here with no required naps, which is what he needs. He always starts his happy howl down the street, as soon as he knows where he is going. I’m not big on boarding in general, and I have appreciated that when I do board Max, they are very accommodating about Max’s dislike of kennels and small spaces. Dogs can stay in a pen or out in the open if they don’t like the pen.

I would not recommend Happy Hounds for Grooming Services. I took my puppy in for a sanitary trim, we had discussed a little trim on the remainder of her coat but I was told I would receive a phone call first. I received no phone call and instead the groomer decided on her own to give my Goldendoodle Puppy a “trim” taking off the majority of her hair! If this is her idea of a “trim”, I cannot imagine what an actual cut would look like. I understand it is just hair and will grow back, and I also understand she is 5 months old and it was her first groom (as the groomer placed blame). However, that does not give one permission to completely hack a puppy's fur off against the owners wishes, eight years of experience or not. This is a before and after of my beautify furry puppy. I was completely appalled when seeing my puppy after her appointment.

The staff were so kind to us and took great care of our dog Rapha! They made sure he was comfortable with the other dogs and spoiled him with lots of treats. The owner was also very thoughtful and gave us a list of restaurants to try as we came from out of town. The price for the daycare was incredibly reasonable, and I highly suggest Happy Hounds to all dog owners!

We’ve been taking Sniper here for boarding off and on for the past few years or so. He’s definitely very nervous with people, but everyone here is always so gentle with him! This place is so awesome in that they allow dogs to play, socialize and swim! Thank y’all for everything y'all do!

I have been taking my dog Winnie here for a couple weeks and just could not be happier with Happy Hounds! Winnie always comes home tired and the staff posts so many pictures of all the dogs everyday. I feel comfortable leaving her with them and know she is in good hands. I cannot recommend them enough. There are a lot of daycare places in Waco, but I have had the best experience here and their pricing is comparable to the other big places.

We take our dog Frankie to HAPPY HOUNDS AQUATIC DAYC at least one or 2 times a week. She gets super excited when we are getting in the car heading that away. The staff up there is super nice and Frankie gets along with all of them. Highly recommend this place if you need to take your dog somewhere for a couple of hours to get them out of the house or just to get yourself a break.

My dog and I will definitely not be back! I have brought Gizmo here a couple of times before for both daycare and boarding. This last visit I left Gizmo for boarding from Thursday, April 4th, 2019 to Tuesday, April 9th, 2019. Some point during his stay with Happy Hounds he was bit over his left eye by another dog, however this is not why we will never be customers here again. The reason for this is because the staff did not notify me of the incident when it happened or when I picked him up. The way I found out about it was a couple days after I got him home. While I was giving him a bath, I noticed he had 3 big scabs across his face in the various spots around his left eye that looked to be in the shape of a circle. He had one on his nose, one over his eye, and one underneath his eye. Another issue I have with Happy Hounds is that after I noticed the bite on Gizmo, my boyfriend contacted them to see if he could find out what happened. They then tried to tell him that it did not happen there and they didn't see how it could have. My boyfriend told them that Gizmo is the only dog in my house and that he had no other contact with dogs since his visit and that he just wanted to know what had happened. They did not say anything except that it didn't happen there and that's all they would say. (The pictures attached to this review are ones I took today of his healing bite mark to show proof.) We absolutely love this place for our dog Jet. The staff is friendly and takes extremely good care of our dog. I would highly recommend Happy Hounds.
