I moved from out of state and was really hoping to find a great place to bring my dog for boarding and daycare that he would fit into. He LOVES it at Carolyn’s. With a not super social but really high energy dog, Carolyn’s is the perfect place for him and I always trust he will be taken care of and come home calm and tired. What you get for the price is definitely worth it. They have plenty of staff and care for all the pups and make sure they all are grouped together so they get along. Everyone is really nice and you can tell they really care. They post updates during the day which is a cute way to check in on your pup. Everything from our first meet and greet day to extended boarding, I know my dog will be taken care of and enjoy his time. Highly recommend this place.

We found Carolyn’s K9 Retreat earlier this summer when looking for a doggy daycare and boarding for our sweet six month old Aussiedoodle, Gus. They were very responsive to set up a plan to help Gus get accommodated so we could board him for our vacation in a month. All the staff members are so kind and loving to all the pups! Our Gus had some separation anxiety issues during his first doggy daycare stays and his first overnight stay. The staff was very patience with Gus and able to help him calm down and become habituated to the new environment! Gus was able to have a wonderful stay at Carolyn’s while we were able to enjoy a road trip through Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. I would totally recommend Carolyn’s K9 Retreat for doggy daycare and boarding, especially for dogs who are not fully kennel trained!

BEST DOGGY DAYCARE IN TOWN! The space is great and the staff is super friendly. My pup gets very excited every time we drop him off, and fulfilled and exhausted by the time we get home. This truly is an outstanding place for your dog(s) to socialize and get their needed exercise.

This is like Disneyland for dogs! My dog loves this place and feels right at home here! She gets super excited when we arrive. The staff are phenomenal and very attentive. My dog is a smaller dog too and gets shy but the staff has helped her feel comfortable and welcome. She has made great doggy friends and loves staying here for the day or overnight. Your pet is in good hands when going to the Carolyn’s K9 retreat!

Carolyn’s is our pup, Dory’s favorite place!!! She gets to play all day with her friends and everyone is incredible with the dogs!! Such a clean environment as well. I LOVE this place. My pup is 1 month into classes & he LOVES it! I can hardly home him back when we arrive. When I pick him up, he's tuckered out from playing & learning. Bringing him here has helped my pup in solicitation & gives him lots of time to play with other dogs. Best part is seeing the daily pics posted on FB throughout the day while my pup is there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We are so happy we’ve chosen Carolyn’s K9 Retreat as our local daycare/boarding spot. We appreciate that they require a meet & greet and a full day of daycare prior to boarding to ensure it’s the right fit for everyone. We also love that they’re a no-kennel facility so our boy can lounge on a couch as he would at home. We trust their staff & know Wally is in caring, capable hands when he’s under their care!

My dog isn’t the easiest- Lola jumps all the fences, has separation anxiety and is on medication. I’ve never been able to leave her anywhere! Until Carolyn and her team!!!! Carolyn and her husband own this amazing sanctuary for our dogs! All of the employees are exceptionally caring and attentive. I now feel so comforted that we have found a place to care for our baby!!! They keep me updated as to how she is doing when I am out of town and my heart is happy knowing she is happy there.

Carolyn’s K9 Retreat is doggy Disneyland for our dog! He gets so excited when we pull into their parking lot and doesn’t want to leave when we pick him up! They send pictures and texts and treat him like family! I cannot recommend this place more! Simply one of a kind and THE BEST! Gunner will be going here forever! All their staff treat him like their own. Love this place!!

Great boarding facilities, grooming, and day care. I recently started bringing my 3 dogs here. The staff has all been fantastic to interact with. My dogs have all been well received and are well cared for.

My dog absolutely loves going here. They have a great facility and atmosphere for both daycare and boarding. The staff is very professional, nice, and communicate well between each other. My dog is always treated well and I can tell they truly care about the dogs. Highly recommended!

Wasn't the place for me, although I know people who speak highly of it. My old boarding place ran the dogs with daycare dogs, so they got lots of exercise, plus the last walk for boarded dogs was at 9 pm, not 6 pm like this place. Their cheaper pens are likely too small for my 2 dogs, so I'd have to upgrade to the premium pen. Then, there's a charge to have them with the daycare group. That is just too expensive for me, and they touted their clean-up process, but there was poop in 2 empty lots. My recommendation is to tour the joint yourself and see what your opinion is.

We are obsessed with Dogwoods. We used to live in Olympia and would bring Rocket to their daycare all the time. Every time he came home exhausted and happy. We have moved to Seattle and haven’t found anywhere that we love as much as Dogwoods. When we work in Olympia we always make sure to bring Rocket so he can see his old friends at Dogwoods. Even when weeks or months go by since Rocket has been there, they always remember him and he’s always thrilled to be dropped off. We even make the trip down from Seattle for boarding at Dogwoods when we travel because it’s so nice to leave him with trusted people he loves- even worth the 3-4 hour round trip to drop him off. We are so thankful for the folks at Dogwoods for loving Rocket as much as we do! ❤️

Dogs seem to be happy. The areas look big and my dogs return tired. Prices are good, especially with the packages. Staff is nice. The only thing I will say is I hope they come out with an app so you can see dogs through the cameras like Camp Bow Wow has. That would be amazing! Overall, really great but the cameras would put it over the top and we would come more often.

Dogwoods takes such amazing care of our dog! We love all the staff and know our pup is always well taken care of. Very kind and responsive!

This is the most amazing dog day care I have ever been too. I’m visiting from out of town and I wish something like this existed back home. The staff is so friendly!

My pup loves coming here for daycare--she greets all the staff happily every morning and is always in a great mood coming home. Staff clearly love the dogs and treat them well--they even recently let me know they noticed something so I could get it checked out with my vet. Prices are good and the indoor and outdoor dog areas are great, but it's the dog-loving staff that really make this place.

I went to pick up my dog and was able to see them grab him from the kennel via the surveillance cam in the lobby. When they opened his door, he jumped up and down and snuggled and was so excited to see the staff member. He was clearly treated well and happy while we were away. Everyone I've interacted with has been so kind and friendly and seems to go the extra mile to make every single dog feel safe, secure and loved. They're also VERY reasonably priced for everything that you get. They're the only facility where I'll board my dog. Can't recommend their services enough.

Karen is seriously a master of her craft. When we first met her, we could tell right away that she's highly personable and extremely competent when it comes to dog-care. We enlisted her help several times throughout the years and every time our dog, Jake, was beyond excited to see her. She's professional, flexible, funny, and great at caring for our fur baby.

I hired Karen for daily weekday walks for 6 weeks. She arrives timely, has strong communication skills and my dog loves her! I was looking for service with someone experienced, trustworthy, reliable, licensed, and insured and Karen met all this criteria and more. Look no further for your pet care!

Karen is a gem. Reliable, trustworthy, prompt and very considerate. We've used her services for almost 2 years now, through the pandemic. She has been wonderful. Our German shepherd loves her and we do too. You could not find a better person to take care of your pet. 10 Stars from us.

You will not be disappointed. Karen has been caring for my pups on and off for nearly a decade. The last six months of his life my 100lb boxer stopped using his rear end. Karen came several days a week, put him in his wheelchair, cleaned up after him (no easy task), but most importantly, genuinely cared enough to help me track his needs. She took one of the best pictures I have of my old man. I took a few years to get my next dog, which Karen has now walked several days a week for four years. My dog LOVES her walks. If I happen to be there when Karen comes my dog does not even acknowledge my presence. Karen is communicative, reliable, flexible, and trustworthy. I have never once worried about my pets in her care. When my dog allows me to chat with her, I genuinely enjoy her company.

Karen is reliable and goes the extra mile. We have used her service for our kitty for several years. Karen is also a fun person to chat with and we know our furry family member is in good hands!

Karen's Walkies! service is outstanding. She's reliable, professional, friendly, smart, and a pleasure to know. She's been extremely responsive and flexible when our travel plans have changed on very short notice. She's great with checking the house while we're gone and she's very easy to work with. I'm so glad I found Oly Walkies! My family took a much-needed trip to the coast, but needed to find a reliable and trustworthy person to tend to our flock of chickens. Over a period of several years I used Walkies and the experience was very positive. Even when i had a crazy, out-of-control hunting dog, she was well taken care of by Karen and loved seeing her pull up with her own dog. The two became besties. Karen has an innate sense of what works and doesn't work and always has the best interest of your furbaby at heart. Call her.

Walkies is the best. Karen's been covering our cats for trips and vacations for over five years and just having her on speed dial makes us feel like more responsible pet owners. She's a fount of wisdom as well. Full marks.

Walkies! took incredible care of our animals while we were away. She also gave us valuable advice on training ideas to help manage some poor behaviors in our adopted adult Shepherd. Amy and Rae took care of my kitty, Bella, while I was at a knitting retreat this weekend. I felt so confident that they would make sure that she was fed, watered, litter box cleaned and she was happy! They were able to give Bella her asthma inhaler which was so comforting to me! I will always use Oh My Dog Sitters for my pet's care in my absence.

Amy and her team are *great* and the Client Portal system is a huge time-saver. All of the sitters are great and the daily visit check-in, with an activity report and photos, is so reassuring. I would highly recommend Oh My Dog to anyone looking for a pet sitter!

Amy and her crew were the best!!! Came and met my animals before and then got on the floor with them and played. They made me feel so comfortable to leave all 4 animals in their care. They came 3 times a day and walked the dogs and loved on them every visit. Each visit they contacted me to say they were there, sent pics and then gave details of their visit. They let me know when they left and how the dogs went potty and what treats or food they gave them. Highly recommend Oh My Dog (sitters) I look forward to having them in the future

Can't gush over Amy and her crew enough. The care they take and attention to safety detail is top notch. And our dogs go bonkers when they see Amy or Brenda out and about, so I know they are given the best times on their walks and visits! With Amy and crew I know our kitty is well cared for while we are gone! I love the daily reports letting us know how things are going. They even take the time to ensure our hummingbird feeders are full. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could!

Amy and her team are the best pet sitters we have ever worked with. We never have to worry about our pups while out of town, and get photos and written updates with each visit through the app they use (also super convenient.) We always use OMD to care for our precious pets while away. The team is very professional, caring, and attentive to details. I recommend them highly for both cats and dogs. We always get fabulous notes and photos while we’re away which gives us peace of mind on our trip, and our pets are very well taken care of, including meds as needed and special notes.

Amy has watched our cats twice now and she is awesome! She sends daily updates and pictures. She goes above and beyond for our pets and house and it really helps remove any anxiety we have with leaving our pets at home while we are gone.

The BEST boarding and spa in the area. Our Poppy can be a bit sensitive and have GI issues with boarding, but we finally got into here and she had no problems. On top of that she seems so happy and we love how the groomers made her look cuter than usual. The employees were so nice and attentive, even as I observed with other dogs, they truly love pets. The daily reports and pictures were so important when it came to my own nerves. I can't imagine a better place to board or groom our precious Poppy.

Friendly Grove did a great job taking care of our cat for a few days before he traveled abroad to meet up with us in Europe. They work closely with Across the Pond pet shipping so they know all the procedures and paperwork required. Friendly Grove has a wonderfully tranquil facility and I'm sure they will care for your pet just as well as they did ours.

I have been coming here for years and I love the customer service and fun monthly theme parties. This includes a variety of theme birthday/moving away parties! In addition to enriched daycare, Friendly Grove offers boarding and grooming. Below is a picture of my dogs in their theme birthday party and their favorite staff Madison.

They are really an awesome facility. The staff is awesome and does excellent grooming on my dogs. The facility is huge and has the ability to groom and board and the grounds are huge and beautiful! Highly recommend them.

Our canine friend enjoys his time at Friendly Grove. We sure do enjoy the beautiful environment he gets to participate in all day. Over the past year, they've really taken care to ease this puppy into the lifetime of grooming needs he'll face as a Groodle. Lots of breaks, playtime, going potty, and staying hydrated. They've trained him for their own practices and procedures. They will give him the food I provide for his lunch. They take the time to go over the cut before hand, at the drop off. They are very busy, very well scheduled, and managed quite well. Their price is a fair trade for services rendered under the conditions he enjoys. They commit the time to our hairy friend, and he's always happy to see them. That speaks volumes to his excellent treatment while attending day spa therapy. ;)

I've been going to Friendly Grove Resort for Dogs for the past 18 years. They, the owners, and staff are tremendous, professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and caring. They have taken great care of my fur-babies for all these years.

We have used Friendly Grove for our dog for the past four years. They have done an exceptional job taking care of Bo. They take great care of her. They contacted us once to let us know she had some stomach issues (most likely something she ate prior to dropping her off) discussed care options and provided treatment. Then they followed up to let us know she was fine so we wouldn't worry during our vacation. Bo enjoys going there and playing with her friends. We are able to enjoy our trips knowing she is being taken good care of.

I have a medical condition that requires that I spend a total of about 6 hours once every month getting a treatment. As far as I know, I will need to continue this indefinitely. My nine-year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russell rescue pup, Wally, does NOT like for me to leave him, because of issues in his past. When I received my diagnosis last Summer, it became very important to me to find a facility where he could spend these monthly chunks of time in such a way that my mind would be at ease that he was in the Best Hands available. Because of the serious nature of my condition, it is crucial that I am calm and unworried. It was very important to me that I find a location run by a person who would give him the TLC that he deserves, in order to win his trust. KimIan Acres has been a blessing to both of us. The facility is clean and safe with lots of different areas both inside and out. It is so lovely there under the big Cedar trees that I tell people that my pup goes to "nature camp." Once a month we can show up and Kim is waiting for Wally with a big smile and open arms. I feel totally confident that I can leave him with her all day and that he will be looked after with as much care as if he were at home. Kim is fully commited to the well-being of her charges here and she speaks fluent Canine! She is very interested in learning as much as possible about the health and needs of the new dogs that come to her and she takes time to carefully review their paperwork before ever beginning care. I give her and KimIan Acres our complete endorsement, and feel so very lucky to have found this place at a challenging time.

Our dogs have stayed with Kim a couple of times and it’s been great. Her place is super clean and comfy. The dogs have lots of fully-fenced space to explore. She keeps numbers low so it’s not an overwhelming boarding experience for anyone. Kim had great communication and using her services is easy. Highly recommend.

Kim and Ian are extremely accommodating and KimIan Acres Pawprints is a GREAT place. Our puppy Baxter is extremely rambunctious, but Kim does a good job of keeping him in line. We looked at several kennels but chose Pawprints and I’m so happy we did.

Kimian Acres is absolutely amazing! Kim went above and beyond to ensure that my Kaida was safe, given love and attention! There is a super clean kennel and a huge field where she could play and run. There are so many toys and visual stimuli at Kimian Acres!! I highly recommend Kimian Acres for overnight boarding and daycare!! Kim even let Kaida hang with her family and dogs in her home on Thanksgiving!!

Kim took such good care of our pup during her first time away from her family! We toured 3 places and really liked the way Pawprints is set up. Our pup was definitely well-cared for and spoiled this last week - I just hope Kim will have space for us in the future as her business grows!

Charlotte did a wonderful job taking care of our family’s feline friend: Kitty. Kitty was very adequately cared for and shown tons of affection by Charlotte. She was just as perfect as ever when we came to pick her up. Everything was super easy and we will definitely be coming back for long trips away from home!

Charlotte’s was extremely accommodating for my last minute trip for a family emergency. I was able to book a condo for my cat Raven with one day’s notice with a quick phone call and no issue. Drop off and pickup were easy. They were happily able to accommodate Raven’s eating schedule and provided her a cave bed “cat potato” because she was very nervous when she arrived in her new environment. I would feel comfortable leaving my kitty with Charlotte and her husband again.

When we leave Frankie with Charlotte, we know that he will be well taken care of. Her cat room is very clean and smells fresh. It's obvious that Frankie has had plenty of loving attention by how relaxed and happy he is when we pick him up at the end of our trips. Charlotte is the best!

We have been boarding our two cats with Charlotte for over 4 years now. We know they are well taken care of and treated well. It is easy to make reservations online too. We travel at least 3-4 times per year and it gives us such peace of mind knowing Charlotte will be taking care of our boys!

I’m so glad I went with Charlotte for my cat boarding needs over a two week Christmas holiday. My cats are so finicky and anxious with new places but they adjusted comfortably in their cat condo. Charlotte is so sweet and I appreciated all of the updates she sent me. I received photos and videos throughout my trip like the one below. She really takes the time to make sure you have peace of mind! When it was time to pick up the kitties, they were so relaxed and happy. They were clearly in wonderful hands! She even left each of them a little wrapped catnip stuffed toy!! It seriously can’t get better than that! Thank you Charlotte :)

We have boarded our cats at Charlotte’s 6-7 times since 2021. It is so nice to know they’re in a place that loves cats. Charlotte is a great communicator and is flexible when travel plans go sideways. The set-aside cat area in Charlotte’s home is cozy and secure. We appreciate having someone we trust to take care of our kitties! Charlotte is our go to!

This was the first time I left my cat with someone other than a family member for more than a few days, so I was a little nervous, but I really didn't need to be, because Charlotte was great with him!! She sent me updates on how he was doing during his stay, which helped to ease my worries. He's back with me now, and I can tell he had a great time and was well taken care of. I will definitely use Charlotte's Cat Shack the next time I go out of town! Highly recommend.

My very sweet and mischievous Wally has stayed at Charlotte's six times now; most visits for a week. I felt bad leaving the little guy at first, just cause I'm an anxious mom, but now I am very confident that he will be well taken care of!!! Five stars for Charlotte's Cat Shack! Sue

I don't understand the positive reviews this place received. I should have relied on my own judgment rather than just Google reviews. The conditions were poor: the cubby my pets stayed in smelled like something died in it. The place was cluttered, and not clean. I had to repeatedly ask for updates while I was away. My cats appeared unhappy and were confined to the cubby the entire time (5 days!) without any playtime. The play area was not safe or enclosed, and the overall environment was unsanitary. When I picked up my cats, they were brought out to me without allowing me inside. The odor of cat urine and litter was so strong that I will need to thoroughly clean both my cats and their belongings. The space is unsanitary and not suitable for pet boarding.

Charlotte has been an incredible help watching our cats while my wife and I were away. We would definitely recommend her for anyone who wants their furry friends to be well taken care of!

Hay and hanging plants, kitty litter and collars, and many choices for animal feed at Companion Cove. They carry local farm goods as well. The salmon oil supplement makes my pups coat super soft! Knowledgeable and kind staff.

Absolutely the best feed store in Thurston or Mason County. Knowledgeable staff, and a great variety of quality products. If they don't have it, they can get it or will find you something better. Such a blessing to the entire community.

I had been feeding my Dobermans Victor Professional dry for 5 years and they did so well on it. But because of the nationwide recall of all Victor kibble I was forced to find another food for my dogs immediately! I called the online retailer I had been using for years, but they had no suggestions on another food that would agree with my dogs sensitive stomach. I had to find something so I ordered a random bag that seemed comparable...no luck, my dogs had loose stool. Tried another brand, same reaction. I was at my wits end and decided to make some calls. I called Companion Cove and spoke with Jen. She did some research and found a food that is not only comparable to Victor Professional, it's better! She went above and beyond what any online company could, or would do! It's businesses like this that make you want to shop locally....they actually care!

My wife and I moved to the Mudd Bay area several years ago and would drive to various petstores/feed stores around Oly for our feed and dog food and it was a pain. Then we found Companion Cove! What a life changer, great people, everything we need for the mini farm and a small business with the greatest customer service!!!

We went to get a collar for our dog to help with pulling. The lady working that day was knowledgeable and friendly. She helped us fit the collar and explained how to adjust the fit as he grows. Excellent customer service.

Companion Cove is the best thing that’s happened to the Steamboat Island area in years! The owners Paula and Jen and their wonderful manager Hayley go above and beyond to help educate people on the best foods for their pets as well and where to plant your plants so you will have a successful landscape! I can’t say enough about this place! It’s a must visit Feed & Garden store! You will definitely make it your go to stop for garden and pet needs!

Fast, friendy service. Always has what I need or they can get most things in a reasonable time. Clean, dry warehouse/storage and retail areas. Easy vehicle access and parking. Flat bed wagons are easy to load, unload and roll very easy. Helping to select amongst the choices and load out is very appreciated.

Outstanding care provided to my fur babies. I've used Home Sweet Home services since I've moved to Olympia (for over 7 years). I have two cats that enjoy her visits. I love getting the text updates and pictures that she sends to keep us up to date on the cats. She does an amazing job and I always know that my babies are in good hands when I am out of town. I much prefer to leave them in their own environment so that they are more comfortable while I am away. Home Sweet Home allows me to be able to to do this and ensures that my pets get the best care possible. I've used Deanna's services several more times since I posted my original review. I am always thrilled with the care she providers. She was supportive of me when I lost one of my fur babies. She's also been great with my new additions who just adore her! I had a death in the family and needed to extend my services which was done easily and quickly. This was very appreciated during this hard time.

Deanna has been our house rabbit and duck sitter (two ducks, in a coop/run) for a couple of years now. She is friendly, reliable, and caring, and she always sends daily text updates, often with a photo. Bonus: Deanna is a good pet photographer, and I send the cutest ones around to our family. Jasmine has been an excellent dog trainer and pet-sitter for us. She is warm and empathetic to both humans and dogs. We’ve found her trustworthy, intelligent and a proactive problem solver. Our dogs love her, and she is certainly capable of teaching an old dog new tricks; our anxious Airedale has had a phobia about our tiled floors for 8 years and while pet-sitting she trained him to wander around the kitchen and relax in a dog bed there while we are cooking and eating. We highly recommend her, she really loves dogs!

We left for a week out of state and needed help with short notice. Maria's schedule was pretty full, but she was able to help us out. She strives to help if she can. We have dogs, cats, fish and birds that were cared for the entire time we were gone. We received a consultation where we walked through all the specifics prior to leaving. We met our sitters in advance. They interacted with the pets for a while before we left, so we could introduce everyone. We do have some pets with anxiety, so this was important to us. We had our first vacation with real peace of mind because of Happy at Home Pet Sitting and their outstanding services. We spent years finding the right way to be able to leave town, not worry and have our pets routines uninterrupted as much as possible. This will be our long term first choice whenever we leave for vacations, or on business. The prices are more than fair. Maria has been absolutely wonderful with our cats and our dog Arrow! We feel so lucky to have found her, its comforting knowing our pets are safe and happy when she is there. Maria has done feedings and medications with playtime for us a few times and visits always come with an update and cute pictures!

I recently used Happy at Home Pet Sitting Service to care for my 10 year-old cat, Zoey. Zoey is not terribly used to being left alone (thanks, Covid!), so, I was somewhat apprehensive about leaving her without me for 10 days while on a trip. Maria stopped by before my trip and got to know Zoey and me, and provided assurances that my furry friend would be very well cared for. Maria explained everything about her services, provided references and brochures, and said that in my case, her company had a local sitter who would care for Zoey while I was away (the local person also stopped by before my trip to meet Zoey and me). While I was on the trip, I received a daily text update and periodic photos of Zoey. Maria had her staff follow all of my instructions and I could tell that Zoey had been well cared for while I was gone. Maria's prices are very reasonable and the fact that she has been in business for so long says a lot about the integrity of her service. She obviously takes pet sitting very seriously and provided the highest level of care for my Zoey. I could not be more satisfied. When I called my local vet to inform them that Maria and her team would be watching Zoey (in case a medical emergency), the vet said they are familiar with Maria's service and spoke highly of her. I think Maria has a lot of clients and is busy...but she made time for me and I will be using her service when I travel again in the near future. David, Ocean Shores.

Love love love! First impression...I contacted Maria and she quickly responded. This has continued throughout our relationship with her. When it comes to our furbabies, we know how important timely replies are! After that, she met us to go over our expected services and meet our sitter. After the service... We found nice notes journaling our dog's disposition and activities when the sitter visited. I 100% completely trust and recommend this company! Maria has been wonderful about following up to be sure we were happy afterward. I really can't say enough good about them. One last thing...icing on the cake...reasonably priced! Just an update... We have used Happy at Home 3 times now. Our oldest dog, Abe, used to get very stressed when we got the suitcases out. Now that he knows Happy at Home ladies will be coming by, he could care less if we leave!

I tried contacting these people multiple time, but each time it just rang and rang till I hit the answering machine. I left a voicemail and got no returning call. Basically what's the point of having a business if you can't even answer a phone.... thanks to these people I wasn't able to find a place for my dog when a emergency popped up and I had to put my dog in the pound. Please take down your website if you don't answer. Or at least put business hours down. A very poorly ran business
