Brandi and Drue are more than exceptional sitters! My Leo, who is very timid around strangers, has a second set of parents in this couple. He LOVES them, and they love him! Both Leo and the cats are a bit high maintenance, yet, Brandi and Drue have managed to handle their special needs with persistence, skill and affection. I would give them 10 stars if I could. We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Again we feel lucky to have found her, and feel she would be a great sitter for any pets!

5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Debra was a Great pet and house sitter !! She communicated well throughout our long trip and sent us frequent pictures of all of our pets. She watered our plants and brought in all the mail. Janis is absolutely the best pet sitter and home care we have had. She is a regular for us during our Christmas vacation because we totally trust her with the care of our three dogs and the management of our home. She is so good and efficient that I have already requested that she sits for us again next Christmas. Our three dogs absolutely adored her as she played fetch, took them on walks, loved and spoiled them. Management of our home was excellent. I had no concerns whatsoever as we had packages delivered and Mail that needed to be picked up. The house was in much better condition than what we left it. The first time I left my dog it was like taking my kids to daycare for the first time. Linda was very kind and made sure I had all my questions answered. I even checked in and she gave me updates. Taking my dog back for a week, I am really glad a friend told me about Linda. Chula loves this place!
Linda has been so good to us. She loves all of her temporary adopted dogs! We always get at least 1 picture of Seven when she stays. Our dog, Seven, is deaf and Linda was so willing to take on a dog that was extra work. I recommend Sunset Acres to anyone I meet that has dogs and may need to board.
Our Golden Retriever has been here multiple times over the last several years including a stay of 11 days and we have been very pleased with the care taken. Whenever we go she gets out of the vehicle and runs around for a minute and then goes right to the gate to get inside. Care is taken to ensure the dogs get plenty of exercise and are together with dogs of the same temperament. Never seen an aggressive dog there - they all seem friendly and happy.
My dogs got to spend some time and we well taken care of. The owner and staff know how to work with every dog, knows their habits, likes, dislikes and fears. One of my dogs was stressed and they gave him a bone to calm him done and it worked! They take excellent care of my dogs and are highly recommended.
Sunset Acres Dog Ranch is the best place for my 2 furr-babies, they love it! They have an area to play and an air conditioned, large kennel area to rest. Doggie doors allow them the independence to come and go as they want and the owner, Linda, is amazing when it comes to understanding their personalities and needs. It is a great place to confidently leave your children.
My 3dogs luv Miss Linda and Nina.. Been coming here for years after checking out the other places.. Dogs are WELL taken care of. They get lots of love and supervised outside playtime!
We love Sunset Acres Dog Ranch! It's like leaving our dog with family. We know she will get more play time and more caring attention than at the big, local kennels. It is worth the drive to take our sweet girl to Sunset Acres Dog Ranch.
This is the first time I've ever left my dogs in a kennel. I've always been involved with animals and I think that this was an excellent choice. There was no smell everything was clean and there was lots of room for the dogs to run and play.
Our dog loves coming here. He has fun and gets lots of love and attention. I highly recommend Sunset Acres. It's worth the drive!

My fur babies absolutely LOVE the staff. I've got big dogs, Staffy and large Bully. There's not many good options for me to take them where I know they are cared for. Staff was friendly and we were able to see where our pup would be staying. It was pretty sad looking, we immediately felt bad for leaving our pup there but had no other options. We paid for a bath before picking up our pup but once we got him, he did not smell like he had received one and his legs were wet! To make matters worse, our puppy got Kennel Cough. Pretty unfortunate situation. Tried it once but probably not going back.
I can’t say enough about Almost Home. They have cared for my energetic, young German Shepherd since he was an adolescent and have taken amazing care of him every time. I recently moved about 2.5 hours away from Temple, and I got rejected by several boarding places in my new location due to aggression. In a panic, I called Almost Home 1 day prior to our boarding service needs (12 days total needed). Initially it did not look feasible, but they called me later in the day to tell me they had a cancellation and booked me. Truly a godsend Almost Home is. I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you, Almost Home!

I can’t thank this facility enough for the well taken care of staff they have!! We took our 2 year old Pomeranian Mix dog, Honey. She’s a very shy dog and needs constant love and attention because she gets lonely but their staff was so wonderful in keeping her loved. We took her in last minute and they were very helpful into squeezing her in. I would totally recommend this place!! Such a friendly staff and kept us updated, Honey loved being here.
Our pup had an excellent time at AH. I was extremely impressed with the willingness to let us randomly come in and see the facilities as well as see the kennel when dropping off. Highly recommend this spot for your furbabies!
Brought my six month old puppy here when I went out of town for about 5 days. My pup is high energy and he came back to us relaxed and ready for a nap. The staff here is so hospitable, even as a new dog mom I felt comfortable leaving him. He got an exit groom and looked spectacular. The prices are extremely reasonable for this level of care. The reviews speak for themselves.
UPDATE: I had a good conversation with the owner Randy. Its obvious that he cares about the quality of service that his customers receive, and has a genuine concern about the health of the dogs under his care. We discussed the baths for the pups, and although it didn't seem so, they did get baths. The owner offered to reimbursed me for the cost of the bath. As for the rash that one of my pups developed, there's no way to determine the cause, cleaning chemicals etc. The owner walked me through the cleaning process and it seems very thorough, and he invited us to tour the kennel (open to anyone). The bottom line is, Almost Home Pet Resort has many excellent reviews and satisfied repeat customers. My wife and I plan to tour the kennel and give this another try. Many thanks to Randy for his time. So we are new to the temple area and needed a place to board our two small dogs for a long weekend. We read the reviews for Almost Home Pet Resort and it looked good, but they are not and here’s why. The dogs were supposed to be washed on the day of pickup, they were not, a $20 each service. When I got the dogs to the house, I noticed our male dog walking strange and licking his testicles. Upon inspection, he had a severe rash and was obviously in pain. I took him to the Temple Veterinary Hospital and the vet told me he had been sitting his own urine for days. So after several shots, prescriptions, and exam, the vet cost me $220. Add that to the boarding bill of $370, it cost me $590 dollars for my dogs to sit on their own urine and not get a bath. We won’t go back!!
I desperately needed a place for my Jasper to stay and be cared for. I was in a medical rehabilitation facility and the weather was hot in August 2023. Circumstances led to my dog Jasper and I becoming homeless. Jasper had stayed at Almost Home Boarding as a puppy for a few days years before the facility had a new owner. Mr. Randy, the new owner gave Jasper a reservation during the hot month of August 2023 with extensions until October 2023. Mr. Randy and his staff cared for my Jasper and he was Almost Home. I visited with Jasper once, the rehabilitation therapy facility arranged for us to see each other. It was the first separation between Jasper and me. I worried about my Jasper being depressed without me. When I arrived at Almost Home, Jasper was brought to the front by a staff member. He was happy, I called out to him and he ran over to me. Jasper sat in my lap, gave me love and remained in my lap, but he never turned away from the staff member or the owner, Mr. Randy. I had to extend my stay at the rehabilitation facility and I called Almost Home. Mr. Randy, I have much respect and gratitude for you , your staff for giving Jasper a home until I could be discharged from the rehabilitation facility to our new home. I don't think we will be separated again, medical reasons cannot be predicted. I would only be able to have peace if Jasper was boarding with Mr. Randy at Almost Home Pet Resort.
I've been in many pet boarding facilities. This is the cleanest(no urine smell) facility I've seen. I was able to spend some time with Randy(the owner), and it was obvious he cares for the pets as if they were his own. There is no other place I would consider taking my pets to.

Karen (owner) always takes such good care of my girl! We will only kennel here! My dog is on the bigger side, so she charges the same rate as other kennels in the area for her - totally fair price. (She’s a good dog but she’s 80 lbs, ha!) But if you have a little dog, she was charging a little less last time I checked!

Cares for our animals like they are her own!
Our dogs did well at Home Away from Home Kennel. Our lab is scared of everyone, but they worked with her while we were gone and made friends. How sweet is that! They take good care of their animals.
