Christina and Warren were amazing sitters. Chester usually is sad the first couple of days we leave, but with their dog Baiily there and being very gentle and tons of beach and activity time, he didn't even mind we were gone! It was like he had a vacation too. Christine sent daily pictures and videos of Chesters activities and it made our day. They were very reliable, easy to communicate with and a perfect fit for us. I'd highly recommend them for a house sit. You can also tell they have a lot of experience with dogs as they do lots of rescue in Mexico and it shows.

Nicole was an amazing sitter. I am still amazed at the cleanliness of our home! It really is cleaner than when we left. Communication was perfect - pictures of our pups and bunnies doing their favorite things. She handled any semi-emergencies perfectly (solving, texting, and providing options for a leaking sink, off balanced pool chemicals, and even a tropical storm). The animals were obviously very well cared for. The dogs got so spoiled with their swimming and Nicole even trimmed knots out of their fur. Our neighbors have commented on how attentive she was with the animals. Above all, the work she did in the yard and with my plants was incredible. She brought many plants back to life, propagated the healthy ones, killed pests, and taught me so much about gardening in general. She really is incredibly talented and I'm sure my plants miss her! Overall, Nicole was a great, trustworthy, tidy, and attentive house-sitter. We wouldn't hesitate to have her back!

It was really great having Haydn to stay and look after Coco the kitten, our chickens and fish and our home. He made a connection with Coco straight away and was very kind and caring of her. Elle was very sweet but did not seem experienced in sitting for Zeewoi. When asked about how much time they would be spending with my dogs they said they would mostly be hanging around and relaxing at the house, which was great. However the reality was they left my dogs alone in the house for 8 hours, returning about 10 pm and not following the feeding schedule spelled out in the instructions. I am sure they have lots of experience with dogs but the idea of having house sitters is they will be at the house more than not and follow care instructions. My dogs did not have any issues but one of them has Addisons so I like to limit his stress and keep a routine. I am flexible and don't expect sitters to be at the house all day or if feeding schedule gets off a little bit that's OK. This was beyond that. Luckily my husband came home early from his trip and we all agreed to end the sit early. I believe this was a case of misaligned expectations.

Janis is a wonderful person and also an incredible sitter -- we were very, very fortunate that she agreed to care for our beloved pets and rural log home for 3 days. We were confident that everything would be perfect – and it was. We returned to a home as clean and ordered as we had left it, inside and out. All plants were thriving; outdoor hanging baskets were blooming profusely. Most importantly, our beloved dog and 4 cherished cats had obviously been lovingly and attentively cared for. The koi were also active and happy. Janis is a “cat whisperer”. She is especially skilled and patient with shy felines, so we truly appreciated her patience and caring for our sweet Angie (with a semi-feral background). Janis immediately understood that Angie, despite her reclusiveness, craves affection and was able to start to earn her trust even with such limited time. Among Janis’ many gifts: she is a talented photographer and delighted us with frequent updates and photos of our furry children. They are so beautiful that we, with her kind permission, plan to include several in our zeewoi profile. Janis’ communications, reliability, self-sufficiency, and punctuality were exemplary, start to finish. We made a wonderful new friend and have already invited her back to sit again. Angela and Joe are wonderful house and pet sitters sitters in every way. They have a great loving way with animals and my shy dog warmed up to them right away. They are warm, organized, confident, and thorough. They communicated very well and gave me frequent updates and sweet photos of my dog Chica. They also took excellent care of my home. My only regret was that I didn't get to spend more time with them, because they're such lovely and interesting people.
