Keeping pets and their owners stress free!
Brandi took great care of our house, 3 cats, and garden during the latter part of a week long sit. Despite not being able to greet her in person (since we split the sit into two segments), Brandi handled things like a pro. She FaceTimed us upon arrival to go over details, and found one of our cats, Lil, who was hiding after being spooked since the previous sitter left that morning. Brandi coaxed Lil out from under the bed and gave her a late breakfast, which made us feel at ease. She also sent a video of our elder cat Neil coughing, just to make sure it was normal, which we really appreciated. Brandi sent us regular photos and updates, and as she got more comfortable, let two of the cats outside to have some supervised play time in the nice weather. She was attentive, self-sufficient, asked great questions, and made sure the cats didn't eat each others' food! She seemed to grow more comfortable daily, even saying she loves our little prancess, Lil, who can be tricky sometimes! Additionally, she watered our young trees and some new transplants when requested, as we were concerned about the lack of rain during the week. We also appreciated Brandi's open communication, particularly when a concern came up for us, and we were able to work together to resolve it quickly. We came home to a clean and tidy house, happy cats, and a little homemade treat she left for us. We'd be happy to have her sit for us again. Thanks, Brandi!

Andrea and I started out with a great video conversation and I knew she would be a solid housesitter and give Osity cat lots of attention. I was certainly not let down! Andrea showed up on time, was attentive to the details of my house and pet needs and my cat took to her arrival and touch quickly. Andrea was in touch daily with some sweet updates and photos and also water some garden area for me where I had recently planted. The house was clean and sheets washed. No issues whatsoever and Ostiy cat and I would def welcome Andrea back another time!

The BEST! Sharon took care of our old tripod, Penny, and the young energetic dog, Paco, like royalty. The old tripod needs extra TLC and has some incontinence issues so it wasn't all that easy. She came over to walk through the house and meet the pups the day before we left for 2.5 weeks and sent regular updates and pictures while we were away. Janis and her husband Dan were beyond phenomenal! Communication was great leading up to their arrival, especially with coordinating arrival and departure times. And during the sit, I got lots of picture updates throughout of how Isabel was doing. I could tell from the pictures how comfortable and happy my dog was hanging out with Janis and Dan and getting all the pets and attention. Coming home, everything was left so clean and organized. I definitely recommend them as pet sitters as they clearly took such good care of both my pup and my home.

This was our first time using a pet or house sitter and the bar set by Leslie is very high! She is warm, friendly, communicative, responsible and very clean. Upon arriving, she immediately bonded with our rat terrier, Oreo, by bringing him a new frisbee (his favorite toy/activity) and throwing it for him in our backyard. Leslie has a sweet and mellow dog, Benny, who is now Oreo's new buddy! She kept my husband and I updated via texts/pictures of their daily activities, our house, and was proactive in asking questions before she left. She even dropped our dog off at the kennel for one night at the end of our trip since our flight was too late for us to get home for him! Our home was clean and had fresh flowers from our garden that she put in vases for us! Such a simple and nice touch! We have asked Leslie to come back to sit for us again for 2 weeks in August. I'd highly recommend her to take care of your pet(s) and home too!

Laura is hands down the best sitter that we have ever had care for our pets and house! Having her stay made our trip away so care free and added a super fun layer of getting her daily (morning and night!) updates with photos and videos, some were hilarious I love Laura’s sense of humor! We were gone 8 days and when’s we arrived home our house was cleaner than when we left, mail on the counter, yard was picked up, it was beyond what we would expect. This made our first day back so easy. Oh’ and our pets were so relaxed and happy we knew they were loved and taken care of while we were away. Laura knew that we were coming home late and she even had bought a yummy quiche, rolls, fruit and juice so that we had breakfast in the morning! We love The Ruff House in Greenbrier. The employees are happy and excited when you drop off and very efficient when you pick up. We tried another daycare near Great Neck in VA Beach (near my office) and had problems with our pup being bit. They blamed him saying he wasn’t reading social cues from the other dog. He did his temperament test at The Ruff House and they said while he did get amped up once (he’s a year and a half old), he was very good at social cues. He hasn’t had any issues. I believe they have more supervision and interaction with the staff. We have been so happy that our boy can get to play with his friends! He is tuckered out after a day of play! (He’s the yellow lab)
The Ruff House has been amazing! My Leti girl gets so excited when it's time to go in for daycare or boarding. I can trust them to treat my puppy with love and care. The report cards and pictures are a plus as a first time dog owner. Thank you Ruff House staff!
Staff is super friendly - never had any issues with booking, communication, or follow-up questions. I love getting pics of my puppers playing with other dogs her age during boarding. They always take care to keep her with the other grey-faced older dogs, knowing puppies are just too energetic for her. I always feel secure knowing my dog is being cared for while I’m away.

I just moved to Virginia and wanted to find a safe enriching day care for our dog. The Ruff House (Chesapeake) is amazing. Our puppy Pompeii has a great time there and comes home tired and happy. They feed him and make sure he’s an environment for his temperament. When I drop him off he goes with the handler no hesitation! They post pictures of your pet to your profile and cute report cards. Reasonable pricing too! I love this daycare and so does Pompeii

My 13-month-old golden retriever recently began attending daycare, and I have noticed that he is quite fatigued when I pick him up. They are trustworthy and reliable, they took good care of my 2 big dogs while we had getaways and helped us with walking Ace who needs lots of exercise. I've been using Top Dog Walk for several years now whenever we're away for long weekends or vacations. They take excellent care of our large, energetic dog! The owners (Dana and Vijay) are well-organized and you can tell they really care about what they do. Prior to the first visit, they set up a meet-and-greet and send out email confirmation of your scheduled visits. They post Twitter updates and leave a "report card" at each visit, which I just love. We tried several kennels in the area before finding Top Dog Walk and our dog always seemed so sad when we dropped her off, and was stressed out afterward (she actually broke out of her cage at one place!) Needless to say, I feel so much more comfortable leaving her at home knowing that she will get long walks and lots of attention from Top Dog Walk! I highly recommend them!

After an initial snafu with scheduling a consultation, Dana worked diligently to regain my confidence in Top Dog Walk. My husband and I met with her to discuss our pet sitting needs over the holidays and we are incredibly glad Dana didn't give up on us as easily as we gave up on her. Her pet sitting service did an AMAZING job. Our Butkus can be a handful but, Dana and Paige were great with him. They were very patient and attentive and did a great job of sending us updates on how he was doing while we were away. We are very thankful they took the time on Christmas Day to care for our pooch and will definitely work with them in the future.
I have used Top Dog for over a year and have been thoroughly impressed with their services. Not only to I find them to be extremely professional but I am also deeply touched by their personal care when caring for my dogs. I have an elderly chocolate lab that requires some help getting up and down the stairs and other older dog aliments. My dogs have stayed here multiple times over the last several years, and the staff always talked about how wonderful they were when we dropped them off and picked them up. A couple of the staff the last two times even got in the floor to play with one of our dogs both times we brought them in for drop off. We didn't even make an issue out of one time being boarded one dog came home with kennel cough and the other had a ripped pad on his right front paw, or this past time when we picked them up and one of them had a broken claw on his right rear paw that was so sore he was limping. Now they have decided to let us book our dogs, then call days before we were supposed to leave for a trip to tell us they wouldn't board them anymore due to our dogs' "aggression" and how they make the staff nervous. When asked why they didn't bring this up the last time we picked them up from be boarded for a week, we were told, "Sorry, we have a new manager." When asked why they are just now calling with these fabricated notes when they had been booked for a while, we were told, "Sorry, we have a new manager." When we then accused them of doing it because of the breed, they didn't even try to deny it, and they again told us, "Sorry, we have a new manager." Never again will we do business with such an untrustworthy establishment.
I have been coming to this place for a few years now and I would love to just say how much better the new manager is doing with this facility. They have special occasions during the month for the daycare dogs and even have treats for the dog parents. Keep up the good work home away from home. Im impressed

I'm way overdue on writing a review for this place. It's spectacular and I'm so glad we found it. We moved to the area earlier this year and were looking for a new boarding/daycare facility. When I called the first time, they spent at least 30 mins answering all my questions and talking me through their policies and procedures. I showed up unannounced a few days later and they gladly gave me a tour of their facilities (which is a sign they have nothing to hide). My senior pup wasn't quite a fit for the daycare environment, so they worked with me to set up a day boarding arrangement where she goes each week and hangs out in the kennel for the day so its part of her routine and the staff is familiar with her and vice versa. Recently, I boarded her for a long boarding stay and noticed on the camera that she seemed a bit anxious. I called and spoke with the team. They immediately went next door to talk with her vet (another plus of this place is that the vet is right next door) and worked out a plan to get her additional anxiety meds. The following day, I checked in on the camera and saw a staff member sitting with her in her kennel giving her belly rubs. The rest of her stay was smooth sailing. I could go on and on about how much they love my girl. She loves going to "doggie school" each week and I'm so grateful to find a place that loves her as much as I do.
We've been customers for the last nine years. We brought our shy puppy here and were amazed how he came out of his shell. He gets excited when he knows he is going to daycare. We feel extremely comfortable with the staff who go out of their way to make the pet's time enjoyable. The vet office next door is great peace of mind. All of the little things over the years really add up to a great experience. And even though our new puppy is a handful, the staff looks forward to seeing both of our fur babies. Such a great place for boarding or daycare! They really are family to our pups, truly another home away from home.

Our Chihuahua, Bill, had a great stay. Everyone was really warm and kind to us upon arrival and when I called to check on him, they were very helpful and gave me a nice report. He was calm and happy when we picked him up. I would definitely recommend Home Away!
The lady Kathy, who works the front desk is very rude and impolite, and she also treats people of color differently than other customers. It’s almost like she couldn’t be bothered with them
I boarded my diabetic cat here for several days and they were great. Very up front with extra charges for meds. They also gave me good info on how he did in their care. It was obvious that they really cared about my cat and all the other pets coming and going.

Keke is a consummate professional in her running of the business and the app provides excellent communication and timely updates. Keke is wonderful. She has stayed in our home on two separate occasions and our pets love her! I'm so very thankful for her patience with our new puppy who is definitely a handful! And for giving up her time to stay at our house with our gremlins.

We recently started hiring 9 Tails Pet Care to take care of our 16 year old dog, and we couldn't be happier! Keke and Angel are wonderful with Didi, and she loves them. I highly recommend them.
9 Tails took care of my cat (Sam) and my daughter's cat (Spud) so we could go visit family. The care both animals received was wonderful, I got daily pictures. Though both cats were very shy. My cat Sam hid under our bed and Spud was nowhere to be found when she came in LOL. Food was filled daily and the litter boxes were cleaned at each visit. Highly reccomend them!
9 Tails Pet Care has been doing an amazing job taking care of our furbaby, Yumi, while we are away for work. Working full-time with long hour of shifts, makes it hard for us to fully cater our baby dog’s needs. Gladly we found Keke and tried her services! It is very evident with the picture updates and in the camera, how much our dog loves their walks outside. They make sure to give her treats and a fresh bowl of water every after the potty break. Our mom decided to leave us for 10 days and go on vacation. Can you believe it she left us at home! Well we are sure glad she did! Julie, Wende, Debbie and so many others took us for walks, played with us and gave us such the best ear scratching and belly rubs! We enjoyed posing for all the great pictures and videos to send our mom daily to let her know we were being spoiled. All the treats helped too! They even kept all of our mom’s plants and flowers watered! Christine and her team are truly the best in taking care of your fur babies!
Cannot say enough good things about this company! Christine was so easy to coordinate with prior to our arrival and Debbie was our dog walker. She came over the day before to meet our two boys and we felt comfortable with her immediately! She came over for 3 visits while we were on a fishing trip and sent pictures/videos each time and updated us about potty breaks and feedings. Highly recommend working them!! Hi! I’m Roy….but Ms. Debbie and Julie call me Roy the Good Boy! These two loving ladies (along with a few other great folks) regularly come walk me while my mom and dad are at work. They give great belly rubs and are super patient with my constant sniffing and stopping at every mailbox. When we get home, they fill my water bowl and give me treats. Ms. Debbie takes the best pictures of me and can always capture my goofy smile. I know she sends them to my mom to let her know I’m safe and sound and super happy with my visit. I would recommend OBX Dog Walker to all my dog park friends. They are the absolute best!!
OBX Dog Walkers does an excellent job. Commutation was great. Our 1 year Old Shepherd Kaos was in great hands. We even got text messages after each visit with the first one having a little video. We did not want to board Kaos but didn’t want him alone for hours. The crew at OBX Dog Walkers were kind and friendly along being professional. Would definitely recommend them and call on them again!
Excellent service and people. We had never used a service like this before, left our two dogs for 3 nights, had an initial problem with one of the dogs having "stranger danger" but Christine and staff handled her tenderly and competently. They communicated well and are definitely dog lovers. We are totally pleased and will definitely be a repeat customer.
We have 2 cats who both have special dietary needs and one who takes medication daily. We have used OBX Dog Walkers to take care of them for several trips over the past year and are very pleased with their service. They respond quickly when we reach out to schedule visits, and the sitters send text messages with every visit to let us know all is well. Christine and her team have been taking care of our rescue pup, Stormy, for over 2 years now. They’ve been such a Godsend. Because it’s a whole team, we’ve never had an issue where they couldn’t cover the walks they promised. In fact, they’ve even been able to cover some extra walks when we gave them advance notice. Also, they have been communicative about any concerns during their time with our girl. And, many of the team members send pictures and great updates during walks so you still feel connected to your pup, even when you have to be away. Highly recommend!
Christine & her staff are wonderful! When we moved here, i was so worried about who i could trust to care for our Ollie & Sheila when we are away. They are very dependable & reasonable in their fees & they always help us even if an emergency notice! So glad we found each other!

Christine and her staff are fantastic! Because of OBXDW, I can keep my dog despite my work schedule. The group are all dog lovers and are very knowledgeable about their behavior; they text after each walk to report how my pup did along with anything unusual. Their pricing is very reasonable and I highly recommend them!

I can not express my gratitude towards this absolutely lovely place. I have special needs dogs and they really delivered the extra care for them. Each person I have met there has bent over backwards to make sure our dogs were taken care of and had the best experience. I would highly recommend if you have not tried them out for your boarding needs, then do so! My dogs stayed in large suite and they really were the happiest I have seen them when I picked them up. It was so much better than traveling with them. I will be using their services again. So impressed by the expert care here! Kudos Eastern Pet Company! You guys deliver the quality service of a home away from home! Thank you so much! I think Charlie, Baby Girl and Little Man actually miss these guys today after I picked them up yesterday. They have been pouting a bit. I’ll be getting rid of my Chewy subscription to support this facility from here on out. Elizabeth City needs these guys to stay in service for the long haul!

Wonderful place! Our English Bulldog, Ollie and our cat, Phoebe Anne stayed for 5 days. The facility is immaculate. The staff is so nice. I highly recommend Eastern Pet! We picked up two happy and stress free fur babies!! ❤❤❤

I came in for the first time here looking for some flea supplies feeling really discouraged with the whole situation I’ve been dealing with. The man working here was so incredibly helpful. He gave me information on many products and had so many great tips! I left feeling great! You can’t beat a store with knowledgeable, friendly staff!!

My 10 month old has been coming here since was 5 months, and she will be a lifer. Rita is amazing with the dogs. Her set up is amazing. She keeps the bigger dogs separate from the little ones so the little ones don’t get hurt. She has awesome playgrounds for the kiddies to climb and vast amount of land for them to run. Providing you bring your pup’s good, she gives them breakfast and dinner. The kiddos also have a nap time. My baby met her best friend there; that are now inseparable. For those who complain about the owner’s pickiness on what breeds are allowed, it is her prerogative: SHE’S THE OWNER!!! 🤔 I know put bulls, since I see that’s the main complaint, and, yes, they can be gentle and wonderful with people. However, when they get into playing rough, they don’t realize their jaw strength and locking. So do some research yourselves. The owner has been wonderful and works with me if I’m running late or need to bored my pup last minute. I truly hope she stays around for a very, very long time.
Rita and her team are amazing. They care for our dog Beau like he is their own! Every morning Beau is by my side ready to go to his second home for day care! Best place ever! From the second I brought my 10 month old Catahoula/Beagle mix she was smiling and happy. When we picked her up she was happy to see us and exhausted. The fact that she was a bit dirty only proved to me she played well. Great prices and lots of room for her to run. I will be taking her regularly to burn off all that excessive energy she has.

Not worth it!! This dog daycare has the shadiest yard full of crappy home made "agility equipment/dog equipment." The crates for the dogs are way too small for any dog bigger than a corgi. The owner will complain about your dog if it plays with other dogs. She also doesn't know what 2 dogs playing looks like, says they are fighting. She has clearly never seen grown dogs play. I've taken my dog to countless parks and not once have I ever had to yell at him for playing too rough neither has my girlfriend! Usually it's other dogs playing too rough! Definitely not worth the money, like all she does is sit there, it's not that hard to watch dogs play all day and make sure they have water. Then to have her b**** and moan about what your dog does. He's a dog. Let him be a dog!
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I brought my dogs here 5 times over the span of one month and each time I dropped them off the owner had something rude to say. This daycare is nothing more than a glorified fenced in backyard with hazardous junk all over the place. I liked the fact that they were outside all day until I saw the inside facilities. There were a couple medium sized wire kennels that my large dogs could barely lay down in. But I figured it was okay to bring just during the day for daycare- I NEVER boarded them here (and you shouldn't either unless you have a small dog. Even then I would advise against it). The last couple times I have picked them up they were quarantined by themselves. If I wanted them alone in a backyard I could do that at home for free. Today I was asked to not bring my dogs back because they play too rough and get the other dogs excited. THEY'RE DOGS!! I have two high energy young dogs that play a little rough with one another but would never hurt another dog or person. They've been to countless dog parks and 3 other daycares in different states I've lived in and they have never had any issue getting along. My one dog was used as the Trial Day Dog at her last daycare- if new dogs didn't get along with her, they weren't allowed to stay. So that just goes to show how ridiculous this place is. The ONLY plus to this place was how cheap it is. But I guess you get what you pay for. Save your money and send your dog somewhere else.
This is the only place I'll board both my dogs at (11yr Cocker Spaniel & 4yr Toy Poodle), Once I get out the food container, bedding and say the words lets go see Nanny they know where they're going and get anxious to leave. Once we get to the family dog club facility they can't wait to get out of the car, they run straight to the gate. This tells me a lot about how they feel about the place, sometimes they run inside and don't look back to say good bye. I travel 1 to 3 weeks at a time 2 to 4 times a year and I can’t see myself boarding them in a place that keeps them locked up in kennels for 20 hours a day for 1 to 3 weeks at a time. Here it’s open boarding, to them it's like going on a long doggy park trip. They get lots of exercise while interacting with other dogs for the entire day, this means they will get dirty, which I’m OK with knowing they are moving around freely just like at home. I just give them a bath once back home. They sleep soundly for a few days once back home recovering from all that exercise. Best prices I've found. This is their home away from home when I have to travel.
Family Dog Club is a fun experience in a professional atmosphere. And not just for the dogs I mean. Humans actually enjoy it as well ! The training rings are quite large and are changed around often, as opposed to one ring with one setup. The dogs actually has to think as opposed to just one the dogs eventually just do by memory. They also board dogs & have 'Doggy Daycare' & w/ only "top-of-the-line" care. Last but not least, the owner and staff are down to earth and could not be more honest and friendly. They will actually tell you if they think their Club or daycare is not the right fit for your dog & you rather than keep the dog coming and have a frustrated dog and owner. To run across that kind of honesty these days is amazing. I guess I could have just said in a word the family dog Club is; "Amazing"!

I had a emergency happen and hands down they were there for me and my dog (Lump). His owner had just passed away and they took her in to help me as if she was their own. Jeannine and the family are like a second home to our little girl. When we show up she starts wiggling with excitement! With dependability and consistent schedules, and fair rates, I know I can turn to her and feel safe leaving Luna as long as she has room and we reserve in advance. The updates to the facilities are outstanding! Climate controlled boarding areas, small pools, fantastic toys, couches, and genuinely caring people. THERES NOTHING ELSE YOU COULD WANT! Long Ridge Road is the place to go! Update...its been a year later and I still wouldn't change one thing on the review except I wish there was another one in Tennessee! I don't know what we will do without them!
We have boarded our 70 pound Golden Doodle at Blue Sky Farms of K9 Country Inn since she was a puppy. She is treated so well in their care that when we are taking her to board, we tell her she is going to Camp and she gets excited. The people there treat her as family. She gets plenty of outdoor exercise and socializes with similar size dogs. The staff is professional and knowledgeable in the proper care and handling of dogs. The facilities have always been clean and maintained well. We would not consider leaving our pet anywhere else. We have the highest confidence in her treatment and care.
Great value in the packages that they provide, love the half day option. Jeannie and her staff are amazing with the dogs. The renovations that have been made are amazing, our pup Luna always comes home happy and tired. Thanks Jeannie.
I adopted a 5 month old Mountain Cur dog. So cute BUT out of control. I dreaded coming home. Blue Sky Farms saved me. Cali now walks on a leash, does not chase my horses or kill anymore chickens/ducks. She stopped chewing on me as a bone, does not attack/jump on visitors. I am so happy I found you guys and you were able to perform miracles. My other dog (Lucy) even likes her now.
We just picked our dogs up after "their" vacation at Blue Sky Farms. The kennels are clean and spacious. We enjoyed the Facebook pictures and posts. Our dogs were happy and well cared for while we were away. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. We will definitely use them again.
The kennel was great. One of my two mastiffs had an open wound that happened the day before I left for my trip. They took care of Sarge and I am very grateful. Five star service, both dogs came home smiling.
We have been boarding our dogs to Blue Sky Farms for over 5 years and we love it. Our Pug is getting up in age, and does not play well with others. The staff go out of their way to pay extra attention to him during his stay. Our dogs usually stay an average of 10 days, and they both come home fit and happy. I would like to thank the staff for taking such good care of our two "babies."
We take our Bloodhound and GSD for grooming, boarding and the occasional Day Care. The owners are excellent trainers and knowledgeable of dogs. One of my pups is not overly social. Blue Sky team is able to handle her and give her the chance to play with other animals, something I do not trusted others with. My pups are always super excited to see me, let's me know they enjoyed their time with the Sky team.
