Cindy and Dan are real pros - absolutely wonderful! We feel really lucky that they saw our sitting request and pursued staying with Kona for our long 25 day trip. We had a zoom call while they were sitting in Asia, and felt confident that we could trust them with our dog and our house. Their communication before and during the sit was perfect and thorough. They sent us many photos and videos every single day of our trip, and indulged me in long exchanges about how much I love Kona. It was obvious that they gave her all the love during their stay too. Kona got to go on her twice a day ball walks in the national forest near us, and she got to go on lots of excursions with them as well. She's a lab, so we needed sitters who would exercise her multiple times a day. Cindy and Dan are athletes too so fulfilled Kona's need for movement. It was obvious that Kona was comfortable and she even seemed to be confused when Cindy and Dan left the house at the end. We are so grateful for the love and time they put into making it a great experience, and I hope they feel the same about their time in the Colorado foothills with Kona the chocolate lab. Janis is a wonderful person and also an incredible sitter -- we were very, very fortunate that she agreed to care for our beloved pets and rural log home for 3 days. We were confident that everything would be perfect – and it was. We returned to a home as clean and ordered as we had left it, inside and out. All plants were thriving; outdoor hanging baskets were blooming profusely. Most importantly, our beloved dog and 4 cherished cats had obviously been lovingly and attentively cared for. The koi were also active and happy. Janis is a “cat whisperer”. She is especially skilled and patient with shy felines, so we truly appreciated her patience and caring for our sweet Angie (with a semi-feral background). Janis immediately understood that Angie, despite her reclusiveness, craves affection and was able to start to earn her trust even with such limited time. Among Janis’ many gifts: she is a talented photographer and delighted us with frequent updates and photos of our furry children. They are so beautiful that we, with her kind permission, plan to include several in our zeewoi profile. Janis’ communications, reliability, self-sufficiency, and punctuality were exemplary, start to finish. We made a wonderful new friend and have already invited her back to sit again. If you’re lucky enough to find Anna as your pet sitter you will have peace of mind and well cared for pets whilst you are away and a clean and tidy home on your return. Anna is thoughtful and kind, she arrived the evening before the sit which allowed for some time to hear about her interesting travels and work, kept me updated with fabulous photos and details of the friendship she was making with the cats and even took the trouble to fix a sticky catch on the cat flap. SHELLEY IS AMAZING!!! Truly- I don't know what I could have possibly done to deserve the care Shelley and her daughter Jen gave to our pets and our home. They faced truly abysmal weather here in New Orleans and could have re-routed their whole trip to find better weather, but they kept their commitment to us. The house was sparkling and neat as a pin when we returned. Our very own network of spies (i.e.- the friends at the dog park where Shelley kept our daily 7:00 AM appointment) said that they were the best sitters we have ever had. Our skiddish Labradoodle and lazy beagle loved them at first sight. If you have a chance to have Shelley house sit for you then count yourself lucky because she is a treasure. Like Mary Poppins for pets. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
