Caring pet lovers.
Andrea and Philip have been wonderful house and pet sitters and the animals were super happy being left in their care. Andrea was very organised and communicated well in the lead up to the sit and also during our absence on holiday. The dogs warmed to them both on the first night and we left feeling very confident that all would be well while we were away. We received updates during our holiday and returned to find happy and healthy animals. The house had been well looked after and we shared a lovely meal prepared by Andrea on our return. We really appreciate all they have done and the care they have taken with all our menagerie. We can certainly recommend Andrea and Philip as pet/house sitters. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your travels!

Caring, clean and tidy house and pet sitter from New Zealand
Charmaine and Tim were wonderful house sitters. They looked after our little old cat with great care and communicated with us regularly with updates about how she was going. They also cleaned our house and washed and changed the linen which made our return from holidays so much easier. We would recommend them very highly to anyone.

Retired vet with years of experience with animals of all shapes and sizes
A+ sitter. Poor Jasper was unwell during our trip away, but fortunately Amy is a retired vet so knew we were in safe hands! Very grateful (and very, very guilty!) can’t recommend highly enough. G

Mature Experienced Global Nomad ready to love & care for your home & fur babies!
This was the third time Melanie has house and pet sat for us but the 1st time through zeewoi.com. She is the perfect doggie grandma! She showered our Labrador boys with love and spoiled them with more attention than they usually get from us. She was happy to do online work from here and to hang out and relax with them as well, and so responsive whenever they wanted to go in and out (and in and out, and in and out, and…). She was very communicative about any concerns about our older pups (8 & 12yo) — upset bellies, when monthly preventative meds were due, a funny spot on the skin, energy levels — and easy to reach even with significantly different time zones. We had just moved into this house and didn’t have everything as put away as we would have liked, and she was fine with managing the boxes and piles. Coming home to happy healthy pets is always a great end to a long trip. I would not hesitate to hire her again in the future.
We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!
Anant was a great sitter and a friendly guy. Kept me up to date re his arrival and with Marie & Toulouse during the sit. Found my house exactly as I had left it. Would highly recommend Anant to other pet parents.
Richard was exemplary as a house and pet sitter. He was attentive and thorough with his review of instructions, compliant with requests, provided regular home/pet updates, and maintained our home perfectly. An excellent citizen, mature house sitter and reliable.
This was my first time using house sitters and Shanen and Ryan were wonderful. She sent me pictures of Calla and game me updates on Calla’s activities. She would be welcome to pet sit for me anytime!
Carolina was a fantastic Pet sitter. From the beginning, it was straightforward to communicate with her. She met us before we left our trip and ensured she understood all the house and pet logistics. Luna and Cal were very comfortable with her and were best friends with her fast. She was very affectionate with them, and Luna and Cal loved her and were very happy with her. Carolina was very responsive and sent updates. She was really lovely and easy to communicate with. She was very respectful of our space and very tidy. She even washed the sheets and towels she used even when she didn’t need to. She put a lot of care into caring for Luna and Cal, and they looked very comfortable with her. Having Carolina as a pet sitter made our trip very easy, knowing our pets were cared for so well. We would love to have her back to sit for us again and highly recommend her.
We've had many pet sitters over the years (this is our first time using this app) and Missy is the best sitter we've ever had for our dog and cats. Our pets, particularly our dog, adored her and was really sad to see her go. It is obvious she loves animals and immediately understood the pack dynamics and the pet personalities. She kept the house tidy, litter box clean, and the animals so well loved. Because she was traveling from far away, she stayed with us the night before our trip and the night we came back. It was a pleasure to get to know her. We would welcome her back to our house as a friend or a sitter anytime. Highly recommend!
Angie and her husband Joe were a great fit for our house and pet sitting needs! They kept in communication with us before our vacation started, and were able to arrive a little early so we could walk them through how various systems worked and where controls were located. Our dog bonded with Angie very quickly and I think he was hoping she would stay after we returned home :) We got regular updates and pet photos while we were traveling. Although we were out of cell phone range for several days, we never had a doubt that things at home would be just fine while they were there! They were also very flexible and understanding. Due to our flight schedule we arrived home in the middle of the night. Angie was able to feed and walk our dog, clean up and leave in the morning without waking us up! The house was left clean, the garden was thriving and our pup was happy. We are happy, and would be happy to have them back again as sitters anytime.
Deboraj took great care of the apartment and of our goofy unsociable cat. She went out of her way to bring catnip and make friends with Rowan. She communicated often and cared to be as good a house and pet sitter as could be. I can gladly recommend her highly to anyone else looking. Thank you Deborah.
Laura was amazing with communication from the very beginning. She sent updates of photos and videos without even being told or asked to do so. She was watching our cat and treated her like her own. Laura was also very responsive when we were trying to find a sitter for our dates and answered any and all questions we had about her experience with pets and house sitting. I would recommend her to anyone! :) and hope we can have her house sit again for us.
Judith was one of the most considerate, trustworthy sitters we've ever had. We had to leave in a rush for a family emergency and really didn't have time to prepare the house as we usually do, but Judith took all in stride, leaving the apartment spotless. She sent photos of Baby Boo and Janet on arrival, putting us immediately at ease because it was so obvious the cats were completely comfortable, zero stress, allowing us to relax that they were in such good hands. She sent photos and video every day, which delighted us, confident that they were getting next level care. Judith would take care of anyone's home and pets with as much care as she did at ours, and we highly recommend. Hope she can come back!!

The place is definitely run-down with outdated facilities. I’m not afraid to point that out. Yes, it is very loud. Far too loud and I’m sure the noise level is actually in breach of bylaws for commercial kennels. Neighbours complaining about the noise level is not a good thing. People are paying for a good service and instead their dogs are boarding each day in dirty, old cracked concrete kennels that harbour hair, fecal matter, pee, food and bacteria that can’t just be hosed away. This is against council standards. Dogs are only let out a few times a day for a short period then locked away again, and as for adequate human interaction there really isn’t enough of that at all. There is far too much capacity for each dog to receive the adequate human interaction needed and this kennel is clearly more focused on money making than offering a personalised service that is value for the customer’s money. Some positive aspects of Pet 2 Us is that they do accommodate pets with medical conditions that require medications etc, and they do house dogs separately based on size and energy level, so your little dog won’t be lumped in with boisterous larger dogs. Last time I was there dogs were fed Nutro dry food and Wag dog roll, both good quality foods. Or owners could choose to bring their dog’s own food if that was what they wanted. Kennels are decently sized with some double sized kennels for bonded dogs. Bedding is provided or owners can bring their own. Music is played over loudspeaker during the day for ambience. I advise people looking for daycare or boarding to consider a smaller kennel that prioritises personalised care and interaction for each dog, rather than the ultra commercialised Pet 2 Us business. Dogs that are anxious by nature will stress at Pet 2 Us as the noise level is far too high.
WAY too many dogs! It is so loud and packed all the time, I’m not sure how any of them are taken care of well enough for your money. My parents live near them and it’s all you can hear when I’m visiting!… it’s just too much and shouldn’t be legal… seems inhumane to have that many dogs to try care for properly and give attention too, even as a company, on one property. The amount of dogs barking from really early until late at night is insane… it’s no wonder the neighbours complain about the noise. No one can get a decent sleep around here. They need to move the business to a larger section with more land and further away from other houses.
Lovely dog staff and facilities. Dogs always are happy to go, and they come home exhausted. Thank you!
I can't praise the staff here enough. We lost a elderly family member & had to board her dog at short notice, then try & rehome him. Debby and the crew took amazing care of him & offered excellent advice to try & get the best outcome for him. We got that best outcome. Most grateful!
We have just collected our beagles after being away for almost a month. Dogs in excellent condition, clean, bedding clean and very happy pups. I suspect they would have happily stayed. Huge thankyou
We tyred to take our 2 cats here for 2 nights but because our cats where not vaccinated they could not stay. Staff was lovely and beautiful property
Our dogs have been frequent guests of Pet2Us, and we can not recommend it highly enough. Our dogs are more than family pets they are family and Debbie and the team look after them as they would there own. I am 100% confident of the care they get and that is why our girls return. It is their home away from home. They love the socializing and thrive on the company. Love Love Love the place. regards Kerryann
Lovely staff, really friendly and seem to love the dogs. Our pup comes home tired and happy, and he looks forward to going there. Will keep using them, and would definitely recommend to others!
Pet2Us was my dogs first kennel experience, and even though he was very nervous, didn’t play with other dogs and even had trouble eating, they were so nice and patient with him! All the staff are lovely and very welcoming. Thank you Pet2Us!
We have been taking our Dog there for several years and have been more than satisfied with the service. Our dog will quickly let you know if she does not like something, and is always excited to arrive at these kennels. Would thoroughly recommend them.
Our pussy Hymshee has been in Care at Whiskers and Paws 3 times this year. We have been going to Whiskers and Paws for the past 3 to 4 years. Carol, Nikita and Carol's hubby look after our Boy fantastically. When he returns home Hymshee is very well and super relaxed. We can't rate Whiskers and Paws more highly.
Best cattery - worth every dollar with how they care for your cat, so clean tidy, heaps of space and they don’t over pack any of their enclosures. Love the cat runs and scratching towers! Wish I could say the same about pets2us down the road with the dogs… Will need alternate for the dogs, but will defo be coming back to the cattery
Carol, Nikita and the team looked after my shy elderly cat for several months when she was rescued after the floods. She needed tender loving care which she got in abundance. This was her home away from home. Highly recommend this wonderful facility.
The Best Cat Resort in Hawks Bay! My cat came home happy and cleaner than when we dropped him off! They took care of him so well❤️Communication was so easy, every time I was asking about Tommy the respond was in less than 2 mins!! It was our first time leaving our baby in the resort and was so worried but our experience with these guys was amazing 😻 will do that again with peace of mind😺 we needed to extend his stay for couple of days and it was soooo easy . They are so lovely and understanding. I appreciate everything that you guys did for Tommy 😻😽
Took very good care of our 17 year old cat. Great facilities, our cat was relaxed. Her complicated medication requirements were dispensed correctly.
Professionally run cattery, always a pleasure to use!
My little 8 month cat was delivered home to me looking like she had been on holiday with lots of nice food to eat! So good and convenient that pick up and drop off is offered too. I'm thrilled with the cares given at Whiskers and Paws and I highly recommend. Many thanks😄😄
Our cat has been going there for years. Owners are always accommodating. Particular in emergencies when we have to go out of town unexpectedly. Your cat will be well looked after.
Awesome!!! Tilly loves to holiday at Whiskers & Paws! Thanks to Carol & her girls for their wonderful care. 1st class at a very good rate. Great to always pick up a healthy happy cat.
These guys are awesome. Place is spotless and completely cat smell free - which can be a big ask!! My grumpy old fur baby was very well looked after by the lovely friendly team. Thank you we will definitely be back.
Dropped our dogs off for the weekend, we'll looked after and no problems. Would highly recommend to dog owners.
Awesome kennels, my foxy seemed alot happier after this kennel visit than some in the past. Will definitely be going back
Diane runs a very organized service. My elderly dog is always very pleased to arrive at the kennels and comes home happy and very content
Just had my little albe groomed. Awesome job very happy
Left my neo mastiff at the Kennels for 10 days, supplied chicken mince/ royal canin biscuits for the 10 day period, when picking my dog up he was under weight!! Once home he had brown water poos and throwing up everywhere. Unhappy Customer!!
Biscuit has arrived back from his Easter holiday very happy, clean, calm (as he can be) and in great condition. Thanks for taking such good care of him.
Our pup loves his first doggy daycare stay!! Played with other dogs all day, and was bathed as well and nail trim which we didn’t expect. We have one very tired and happy dog, love it!
Such an amazing place for my Marshie to go to through the days and to stay when we go away. So lucky to have the team at Chesterhope looking after him so well and with so much care and love.
Love this place, where the dogs can play and are cared for beautifully
Left my baby Max at Chesterhope for 5 nights and he absolutely loved it. When i picked him up he smelt so good. The staff are lovely and took really great care of him. Will definitely use this facility again in future. This was my first time putting my furbaby in a boarding kennel and as reluctant as i was to leave him i was so happy to see that the staff at Chesterhope took such great care of him.
