Axl our Jack Russel x Dachshund stayed here in August during the day. We was holidaying in Wales and opted to send him here for Doggy Day Care and picked him up each evening. This was Axls first time being in kennels (he's an ex rescue dog) and he loved it. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place who go above and beyond to accommodate your pets needs. Thankyou for making Axls stay a happy one, will definitely use again when we holiday in Wales xx

Unbelievably let down so badly by this kennels, even though we have used them multiple times before, if I could give negative stars they would get -10. Imagine the gut wrenching feeling and confusion when you are told hours before your flight “to come and collet your dog” because of “health and safety reasons”. ONE hour after dropping off our two dogs (a 12 month old GSD and a 10 year old Staffordshire ) at 6pm (the second time we have used Foxcombe Cat and Dog Boarding for the same two dogs) we get a phone call and are told that the GSD “is jumping up and trying to open the latch (at one point they actually claim that the GSD has got over the 6’5”vertical bar kennel, she can’t get over the 4ft gate at home) then they revert back to just saying “for health and safety reasons we need to pick the GSD” they went on to explain that she is “too intelligent for them to handle” and odd statements like we are “afraid she might fall on the Staffie” and “she is a big dog” and "it’s ok if you wanted the Staffordshire to stay”. They knew that we were flying in a few hours for a family holiday (and the kennels was booked at the same time the holiday was 4mths before) and showed absolutely no remorse or acknowledgement of the mess that they had just created, they just wanted the dog collected without any particular reason other than she is jumping and a bit of a handful. When we arrive to collect the dogs, both are lying down quite peacefully, it was blatantly clear that it was a particular worker that had the issue and the she was scared of the 1 year old. Despite repeated attempts to contact the owner for clarification or acknowledgement of what occurred,, we can only assume that all was well, until the worker in question arrived for her late shift and she then managed to work up the “health and safety“ issue because she is incapable of controlling a dog bigger than a corgi. We still have not been contacted by the owner with any sort of explanation or even an apology, just like they don’t care. How can you trust a kennels that can do this, what if they had a “health and safety concern” while you are away and unable to collect your pet. Finally.... Thanks for your response, this was review was posted originally within days of the event, after numerous attempts to get an actual answer from anyone. It was updated 18months later to see if we would actually get some response, you appear to have ignored the fact that when we did collect the dogs, both were lying down with no apparent issue. Your explanation did not indicate what you expected us to do with the dogs a few hours before our flight or what would of happened if you had an issue after we had left the country.

Can't recommend foxcombe enough. Our dog luna absolutely loves going to stay, as soon as we go down the drive she's excited and can't wait to get out of the car. We are always greeted by one of the dream team as that's exactly what they are! Ceri, Lisa, Lou, Janina, Nat, Bryony and Kerry are all amazing and go above and beyond. Luna suffers with allergies so whenever she needs medication it's no problem her being given it. We have videos and photo updates of how she's doing when she stays. I wouldn't send my dog anywhere else as she has such a close bond with the ladies and is looked after like she's one of their own

Ceri and the team are just great, top facilities with helpful and caring staff. My dog wagging his tail when he goes off to his boarding tells you how happy he is so stay at Foxcombe.

Lovely environment for our two dogs Maxi and Sooki the groomer on site is also a plus very clean well run kennels owned by a lovely lady with very pleasant staff who really love the dogs

Fantastic kennels. Take great care of our tentative dog molly and really spend the time to make sure she's happy.

Fabulous staff and a place you can trust to look after your dog as they should be. Wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else

We are so grateful that we found Jesse at Walkies! We were in a jam while moving house and urgently needed someone to help ensure our cat was fed and checked on while we were away sorting things out. Jesse was completely understanding of our tech issues and has been a real lifesaver. We will definitely use Walkies! again whenever we have to go away, thank you!

I have two large dogs that Jesse has looked after on two separate occasions while I have been away on holiday. The dogs love Jesse visiting and I now feel confident they are in good hands. I receive regular updates and photos of my dogs playing and having a good time which puts my mind at rest. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jesse for dog care and coming into your home. Jesse dog sat our 9 month old labradoodle for 2 nights whilst we got married. Also our cat and gpldfiah. He is a very excitable pup with seperation anxiety so we were so worried about leaving him. Jesse came to visit us twice before the wedding to meet our pup and get him used to herself. She was so thorough and easy to get along with. She gave us regular updates with lots of pictures whilst we were away. She was great and i would recommend her to anyone.

I have found Jesse to have a gift with dogs, my dog was a rescue and had baggage, she had been to another place but they couldn't deal with her. But she is lot more confident and can be let off her lead she is now a very happy settled dog

Jesse walked my dog and checked on her in the morning, using the app was super easy and provided lovely updates on how my pooch was doing and having the pictures were an added bonus. Very professional and would highly recommend. Will be using her in the future for sure, made everything super easy and provided great reassurance.

What a kind, caring walker she is. So nice to know yourdog is going to be safe with her. Jesse does not take your dog anywhere dangerous for them to harm themselves and all dogs including mine look forward to thier walk with her.

Jess dog sat for our newfoundland for 11 days while we were away and we came home to a very happy dog. Would highly recommend her.

Fantastic service!! We booked in our little sausage dog Noodle to stay with Janet whilst we had our wedding weekend. We were greeted with smiles and other friendly doggos staying there too. Noodle immediately enjoyed his company. I was given regular updates on how he was doing which was very much appreciated as this was his first time staying at a dog's sitters. But he definitely had an amazing weekend stay! I can't recommend Janet highly enough - Noodle will definitely want to stay again next time we are down west Wales.

Looked after our dog Lux for a couple of nights while we stayed at the nearby Fields Lodge BnB, which doesn't allow pets. Janet was amazing and responsive, very flexible with our plans, and clearly took great care of Lux. We picked Lux up for a walk and dropped her back off at Home from Home, and she went running right in, wagging her tail--she clearly loved it in there. It felt great to know Lux was in good hands being looked after, would completely recommend!

Burt our little cockerpoo puppy went on Holiday with Janet and Sharon. He had a great stay, he was spolit and well looked after. We could not have asked for more for our little baby. Thanks Burt will visit again next year x

Took our dog on short notice when we wanted to visit Skomer Island Nature Reserve. Janet looked after her very well and sent us pictures too (which made our Daughters feel better about leaving her with a 'stranger'). Very good and reasonably priced service. I recommend Janet if you need your dog looking after. She is clearly a doggie person and it is much better that a kennel!

Our mastiff Holly has just spent Christmas at Home from Home and was very well looked after. Holly only stays with very few other people but will happily run into Home from Home. Home from Home care for Holly as much as we do and we'll leave her at this establishment whenever needed. Thank You Holly, Richard & Christine Davies

My dog loved loved her stay here and it was nice to leave her somewhere i knew she'd be looked after as if she was at home, as i don't like the idea of kennels. Run by Lovely friendly people, would definitely recommend

For a perfect home from home for your dog you will not find a batter place. The dogs become one of the family very quickly. Would highly recomend

My 2 dogs absolutely love their stays with Lillian, they look on it as a home from home. The Facebook updates and photos during their stay are reassuring and confirmation of how happy your dogs are. My GSD has separation anxiety but she has no problem staying with Lillian and attaches herself to her instead. I cannot recommend enough, the dogs are safe, well looked after and loved. I would not use anywhere else for dog boarding.

My dog Rory goes to daycare with Lillian every week. He is treated like family. He has a great time with the other dogs and you can see by the pictures Lillian posts how much fun he had. I wouldn't send him anywhere else as I have peace of mind that he is well looked after and spoilt

Simply the best place for your dog to stay. Our Welsh collie Benek loved the place - he is only 9, months old. Lillian is a special person and our dog and the other dogs in her care recognise her as the 'pack leader'. He was there for a week and we got daily updates and pictures on Facebook. We live at Dinas Cross - about 18 mils away but would travel further for our dog to be looked after by Lillian. Benek had beach, woodland and country walks daily and was absolutely whacked when he came home. Benek will be there on holiday again soon.

Lillian is amazing with the dogs. Hers are so welcoming and my collie fits in so well with the pack. Will always use her services. :)

My hounds went here for a "trial" overnight stay and have been refused because they apparently bark to much and didn't recall for the husband. They have had their heads in corners for most of the following day as if they've done something wrong. Best breed of basset and the nicest boys you can ever meet. They attract attention and fuss everywhere they go. Not only have we had to cancel our holiday because of the short notice refusal on environmental suitability basis'. i seem to have two very unhappy boys to cheer up following this 'trial'.. Something is not right here. If only dogs could actually talk. I suspect this is a show you one world cage them up after, rip off,pretend to care type of business where the "mum" has other interests. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

My very active girls love their walks with lilian, are treated as part of the family. I highly recommend the day care & boarding services.

Just picked our dog up from a great nights stay, received updates and photos of him having a great time with other dogs, much better than standard kennels highly recommend.

Lillian is amazing, Celt loves his time here. Home boarding at its best.

Julie took our Cavachon Millie on very short notice. She greeted us when we got there and asked lots of questions about how to settle Millie. Millie was a bit nervous as we have never left her before, so Julie brought in her own small dog “Bertie” to settle her and it did the trick. I felt happy leaving her there and she was happy when we got back. Julie even recommended a few places to take Millie the next day that would be out of the sun as it was very hot. I would definitely recommend.

Thankyou so much for looking after our fur baby cocker Nancy whilst we went to folly farm. Our first time leaving her anywhere and Julie was amazing at reassuring me and even sent me photo updates throughout the day. Our Nancy had the best time eating treats, exploring new walkies and playing with Julies doggies! She will definitely be back for another play on our next visit 🥰🥰

We booked our puppy in for the day whilst we were visiting a local attraction as we had travelled from Sussex for the weekend camping. Julie came and greeted us with a smile. Sent us updates during the day and puppy was suitable tired and happy after her day out. Would highly recommend, as a lot of care and attention is given to the dogs.

The quality of kennels looked fine. We had booked in our dog whilst visiting a local attraction as the business was recommended due to its close location. As we stopped and pulled up our door barked as she always does as she gets excited ahead of a walk. The owner immediately asked if she was going to bark all the time. We explained she was excited and she immediately stopped when we took her out the car. When we left she seemed fine and had stopped barking before we were out of earshot. Owner called less than an hour later after paying to enter the attraction saying she was so anxious she may have a heart attack. When we picked her up she was fine and happy just excited as she is a high energy dog. Ruined day out. Owner claimed to have lots of experience but think maybe larger high energy dogs this might not be the place for you.

Highly recommend Julie was fantastic with our 2 dogs, they stayed for 4 days and loved all the walks,will definitely use country boarding again.

Highly recommend, friendly welcoming home-boarding for dogs. Always very accommodating, my dog loves going, it’s a holiday for him too! We can go away for any length of time with the reassurance our pet will be safe, happy and well looked after. Often photos or videos will be sent, lovely after you’ve been missing your pet whilst away.

Whenever we go on holiday, we would not leave our dog anywhere, except in Dogsbody hotel! We come back to a happy relaxed dog, and while away, we know our dog is in safe hands. Highly recommend to any dog owner looking for a lovely happy place to accommodate their dog while on holiday.
