Hanna did an excellent job sitting Molly, Eddie, Jasper, and Miley. She communicated well, took notes on our initial meet and greet. She went out of her way to help us get the dogs to a kennel when we experienced a family emergency and could not extend her sit due to work commitments. The dogs loved her and the shy kitties came out of greet her mid stay. She left our home immaculate and well cared for. She is truly a winning pet sitter in our eyes! We hope she can come again sometime.

Kelly and Chris are lovely people and we loved having them at the house! They were very engaged from the start, asking questions and wanting to know all the details on our pets. We were completely comfortable going away and didn’t worry during our trip knowing our kiddos were in such great hands. They left the house in as good or better shake as it was found, laundering and folding linens and tidying up so well we could hardly tell they stayed here! Laura was an exceptional, reliable, and loving sitter for our goldendoodle Scout, and took such good care of our home! Scout was excited to meet Laura immediately when she arrived at our home for this sit, and showered Laura with all the hugs and kisses. Scout has recently been having issues with seizures, so for this sit I was specifically looking for a sitter who had a depth of experience with giving medication and responding calmly in the event of an emergency. It was a big relief to be able to entrust Scout to Laura's capable and kind hands, and it was extra special that Laura's beloved vizsla had shared the same name. Laura is wonderfully easy to communicate and coordinate with, and was thorough in her care of our home. We came back to our garden looking great, house left in even better shape than I left it to Laura, and a very happy Scout! I cannot overstate how much we appreciated Laura's care for Scout and our home, and heartily recommend her as a pet and house sitter. If you're lucky enough to get on Laura's schedule, your pups will be with the most wonderful stand-in dog mom you could have hoped for!

Jeremy and Brooke were fantastic! We have a senior dog and a over hyper pittie. They gave Daisy her meds and had lengthy walks with Fin to burn off some of his energy. Brooke sent me regular texts to show me precious pictures of the pups by the Christmas tree, which warmed my ❤️. The house looked great when we returned. They are awesome detailed sitters and will make your pets feel loved and secure!!

Judith was one of the most considerate, trustworthy sitters we've ever had. We had to leave in a rush for a family emergency and really didn't have time to prepare the house as we usually do, but Judith took all in stride, leaving the apartment spotless. She sent photos of Baby Boo and Janet on arrival, putting us immediately at ease because it was so obvious the cats were completely comfortable, zero stress, allowing us to relax that they were in such good hands. She sent photos and video every day, which delighted us, confident that they were getting next level care. Absolutely Incredible.... I will not lie, I was hesitant because David did not have any pet sits before this one (gotta start somewhere) but because he did the background check I decided to contact him. We had a great phone conversation and the decision was made. He came to my house the night before I was leaving to learn all the ins and outs of taking care of my fur babies and then put himself up in a hotel for the night before the sit date. The next day he came over in the morning to learn a few more details before I left. I could not have chosen a better house sitter for my 2nd house sit . David communicated with me daily, sent pictures and we spoke via facetime. My little guy was feeling sick when David started and with diligence, love and kindness he was able to get my little guy eating again and feeling better. I would invite David back into my home over and over again but I am pretty sure he is going to be in high demand. Thank you David for everything!

Jerry and Suzanne were absolutely ideal sitters for our home and pets. We spoke with them ahead of their visit and could tell that they are genuine pet and travel lovers. Over their stay we got to see even more that they are wonderfully friendly, kind, and responsible - plus they kept us laughing with their updates and descriptions of our pets' antics while we were away. Our pets and plants were well loved and our house was spotless upon our return home, and they were even kind enough to leave a few goodies in the fridge. My dog absolutely adores coming here! He is still a puppy/super athletic and when he comes home he’s so tired!! He has the best time socializing and playing with his pup friends!!! I was a nervous dog mom at first leaving him in the care of complete strangers and they made the transition so so easy by sending pictures and videos and letting me call in to check on him without making me feel an ounce of guilt. I absolutely love this place and can’t recommend it enough. They are the best!
The trainer Jay did a great job with my dog’s training, we went in for evaluation so Jay could suggest what classes were best for my dog. We have kept up with the commands after finishing the 3 week course & our dog’s behavior is better all around! Would recommend to anyone in the area.
I wish I could 4.5 stars and here is why but I decided to round up. I boarded my Cat there over the thanksgiving holiday. All the staff were extremely friendly and all the facilities were extremely clean. When we picked our cat up he looked happy and like he was well taken care of. The only thing that I wish was different was how they keep animal parents up to date. I would have loved to be asked how often I want to receive updates about my cat. The only way to get updates about your pet is to text and ask. It would be great if they sent updates with pictures about how animals are doing. But that’s a very not picky thing. Overall I would take my kitty there again since he seemed extremely well taken care of and loved.
We have boarded our Great Pyrenees at Barking Oaks several times and each time it has been a great experience. The staff make you feel they enjoy having your dog there and you feel safe leaving your pet with them. Today we got our Great Pyrenees groomed. The groomer, Blair, bathed her, trimmed her nails, and trimmed her heavy coat. She looks like a different dog! She was so perfect and beautiful when my husband brought her home, I had to call the groomer and thank her for her superior work. Blair told me that she had our dog rest during the grooming service so she would not be stressed and she made me feel like a family member had taken care of our big girl. The prices are excellent and the work Blair did was gorgeous. I could not be happier. If you get your dog groomed or boarded, I cannot think of a more wonderful place to go than Barking Oaks!
My husband and I toured this place last week and we loved it! Toni gave us the tour and he was very nice and respectful. We instantly liked him and the other employees and could tell the dogs were well taken care of and loved. Our dog had his evaluation today for daycare and he was there for 4 hours and we were told he did great. I was nervous about sending him to daycare because he’s never attended daycare before, but he was so excited to go. He is now dead asleep on the couch! He must have had a blast making friends. Can’t wait to continue bringing Charlie here!

Barking Oaks does a great job at grooming & training my little Bella! In the past we adopted older dogs, but this time we got a puppy. Little did we realized it would be a challenge. We looked everywhere for a training, but it was way out of our budget. Thankfully we found Barking Oaks Resort. Before we had her trained she was starting to be a nuisance. After training at Barking Oaks Resort she’s well behaved and doesn’t do her business inside the house. The people there are great at what they do. I feel very comfortable taking Bella for grooming as well. I let them know exactly what I want & they do it with no issues. She’s smells great when I go pick her up too! My friends ask me where I take her because she smells so clean. When they take their pets they don’t smell as good after grooming. Thank you Barking Oaks Pet Resort!!!!

My experience with Laurel's Leash has been amazing. Her knowledge about dogs & their behavior is impressive and she's extremely personable & responsive. Both of my dogs have very different personalities & she was able to work with them individually with a variety of techniques to get the desired outcome with each. We also had some initial challenges with introducing a new puppy to our older dog & Laurel helped tremendously with their interactions as well as easing my mind during the process. I've also used Laurel's Leash for dog sitting a number of times and it's always been a great experience. 100% Recommend Laurel for any dog training or care needs.
I love Laurel's Leash. I know whenever I leave my little dog with Laurel she will be looked after, kept happy and loved. Laurel is very good at what she does and the dogs thrive with her. She is an excellent dog trainer and is an even better people trainer. I am able to work with my dog with Laurel's advice and some of her bad habits have been replaced with good behaviors. I enjoy the frequent pictures Laurel posts on Facebook. It is a handy way for me to check-in. The communication is very good and I have come to trust that I don't need worry when I'm away.
Laurel has been a lifesaver for our family. We first reached out to Laurel's Leash and The Dog House barding for training advice for our puppy. With Laurel's guidance two first time dog owners managed to raise a well behaved and fun loving puppy. When we leave town the Dog House is the only place we trust to take care of our pup. Laurel is an amazing dog trainer - and she's hilarious and fun to boot! Laurel has helped me with my Cairn Terrier, Teddy, who has some leash reactivity issues. With her help, he's getting to the point where he's almost like a "normal" dog when we take him for walks, haha. We've also some agility training with Laurel and our mini Aussie, Beau, and we've had both the dogs board with her for short time periods. Laurel's Leash is great!
I have a petite 13 yr old boxer who Laurel watch one weekend in October of 2018. As soon as we first walked into the door we were greeter with a huge smile and warm welcome. My dog was instantly comfortable and Laurel’s friendly and positive energy was contagious. I've known Laurel for a long time and she is just excellent with my two big dogs. They just love her! Each dog has a different personality and she knows how to adjust to each personality. Laurel’s Leash is a wonderful place for my Border Collie. She’s great about sending pictures or videos of the fun time my dog is having. She is so knowledgeable of the various breeds and what their personalities are like. I have learned so much from her about obedience. She genuinely loves dogs and taking care of them!

There is so much comfort knowing both my girls are always very well taken care of when we drop them off at The Doghouse. They go in super happy and come home super tired which is awesome! When I first started looking for a place for my 2 pups to go when we are out of town, I wanted a place that would feel like they were at home without being home. The Doghouse is perfect for them because they get to wander inside and outside as they please and sleep in their crates at night. To know they are not trapped in a kennel all day long makes this mama’s heart happy. Thank you Laurel for loving the crazies!
